Condoleezza Rice, who served as George W. Bush's second-term secretary of state, will headline the National Republican Congressional Committee's big fundraising dinner on March 26 in DC.
This will be another high-profile political appearance for Rice, who also spoke at the 2012 Republican National Convention in Tampa, FL.
"Condoleezza Rice's life embodies the American dream," said NRCC Chairman Greg Walden in a statement. "From growing up in the Jim Crow-era south to traveling the world as the nation's top diplomat, she is living proof that our country is the land of opportunity. The House Republican majority is committed to ensuring that all Americans have the opportunity to live a full and prosperous life-free from government intrusion. We look forward to hosting her and working with her to grow that majority in 2014."
