The interaction between the two of them did appear to be genuine, it's good to see the "thaw"!
Makes you wonder what the repubs promised Netanyahu to back Romney? Now that Romney lost, Netanyahu has to figure out what to do to salvage relations with the winner. And it doesn't hurt that Obama doesn't appear to hold a grudge for that Romney endorsement. Netanyahu is breathing a sigh of relief.

Would one of the gentlemen explain to me why guys always throw their coats over their shoulder like in the photo? Isn't that harder than just putting it over your arm?
Seriously, I think it is good that President Obama has obviously put aside any personal issues with Netanyahu and focus on representing the best interests of the United States. The fact that he now has the upper hand is just icing on the cake.
It's sweet they have on matching ties, like they are saying "we're on the same team."
Israel is our staunchest ally in the region, not just because of our shared history, but because Israel is a strong democracy.
Steeler Fan...great question. I do the same thing whenever I take off a jacket. Just a more comfortable, easier way to carry it. LOL...plus it looks cooler that way! ;-)
I have to agree with Frank, it looks cooler that way - more so than draped over their arm! I am NOT being sexist here but it truly seems to be a guy thing! :)

Actually, the carrying of a jacket over the shoulder is not just a looks thing, it also keeps the arms unencumbered should anything happen. Having a jacket on your arm pretty much takes that arm out of business until you can get rid of it, extra time involved with that. Just like the idea of which side of the gent a lady stands on is based on the gent carrying a sword, so are little things such as how a jacket is carried, differently by the different sexes, and they are cultural holdovers is all.
As far as Bibi and the Prez. ...well, I think that Bibi is doing the sucking up, realizing that he HAS to deal with Pres. Obama now, and for the next 4 years, and that with as much screwin up as he has done so far Ol Bibi is trying to make really nice nice: he has a new government to deal with, one that has moved closer to Obama's position overall than towards Bibi's (The Nation Has Spoken) and so Ol Bibi HAS to play ball, he has no real choice. Obama has been generous to Bibi, though, so as to possibly get leverage on the Palestinian Issue, he is seen as being generally supportive of the efforts to keep Iran from the Bomb. Showing concern for the State of Israel will give him currency to spend against the Palestinian Issue, especially since that impacts the survival of Israel as well. A more moderate government of Israel is a start, at least it got rid of a government that was largely being controlled by the very settlers and hardliners that are being a very solid roadblock to Peace in the area.
That alone gives me hope!
Netanyahu is a Zionist but he is the leader of Israel. We desire to be friends with Israel and visa versa so the two leaders make nice for the cameras and other media. If Bibi carries things too far than it is Obama's responsibility to smack him down but only like an older brother or parent would do to a smaller one who is getting out of line.
Bibi is a war monger and so we need to tread very carefully around him.
Part of the problem in that part of the world stems from the British and American treatment of Palestinians. We need to do some serious fence mending with them. One way to start is to demand that Israel remove the Kabutzs from the Gaza strip. With Syria in civil war, the Golan Hights may erupt again too.

Israel has stolen 45% more property since the invasion of Iraq, engineered in part by Israel.
Remove all Israelis from territory stolen since 1966 and stop all loans and arms sold or given to these terrorists, in western clothing.

I will not vote for ANY politician that supports gun bans of ANY type. We already have laws against committing Murder, yet the criminals continue. Turning law abiding citizens into targets, is just the beginning. Once the Second Amendment is changed or limited, all our other Freedoms will be next.
Limiting my RIGHTS to protect my family is UNCONSTITUTIONAL and will be fought with whatever Force necessary!!!
