Here's an interesting article from MSN about the 10 Most Miserable Cities, based on high taxes, high crime, miserable commutes, etc.
Every one of them is a far-left Liberal run city in a Liberal run State.
No surprise there - That's what invariably happens when Liberals control something. Here's a link;

Oddly, enough the ten best cities to live in America are also Democratically run.:

Amy B. Portland, ME "Oddly, enough the ten best cities to live in America are also Democratically run."
Interestingly, New York is listed in one survey as the 10th WORST city for crime, taxes and traffic congestion, but is listed in the other survey as the 7th BEST city to live in for ????????????
I suppose it depends on the criteria that you choose, but personally, I would never give the City of New York the honor of the 7th BEST city to live in.
Gee, I wonder which criteria are more important to most people - Crime rates, taxes and traffic congestion - or 'cultural diversity'?

Additional Note to my Post #2.1.
Your survey of the Best cities to live in listed Washington DC as the 3rd BEST city in the Country to live in.
REALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They have a violent crime rate that is 300% THE NATIONAL AVERAGE.
Like I said, the 'criteria' selected is key, and I think sky-high taxes and crime is more important to people who have to live there than some esoteric 'cultural diversity' hogwash.
However, the greater DC area now contains 9 of the 10 wealthiest counties in America....
Want to be a rich evil 1% er these days? Suck up to the Obama Administration like Amy does, you will get rewarded with other people's money....
Good counter move, Amy, to Roy's one-sided view of things.
Roy needs to look at the ten cities with the most poverty. Every one of them is a far-right tea people republican run city in a republican run State.
Really, Mo?
Detroit & Flint, Michigan are "far-right republican run"?
How about Stockton and Modesto, CA?
Maybe you are talking about Chicago, IL?

...I thin Larry & Curley are looking for ya, Moe....
Thursday’s “Daily Rundown” line-up: Democratic candidate Elizabeth Colbert Busch on her bid for the open House seat in South Carolina,..
I happened to see Chuck Todd's interview with Colbert's sister...
He asked a few non-softball questions, such as whether she supported reforms to entitlements like Social Security and Medicare, and whether there is a problem with the size of government..
She swung and missed very badly...she kept mumbling about "we must cut fraud and waste" and didnt answer the questions...she looked lost and out of her league.
Stephen Colbert surely could have played this interview on his show, and snarkily made fun of the novice candidate's cluelessness..
But hey, she's a Democrat and his sister! So no snark allowed.
Mo, again you rant without knowing facts!
Those CA cities are in a state that has been controlled by Dems and unions for over 40 years. Those dysfunctional Dems and unions have raped taxpayers for years, and when the unfunded public employee pension funds come due, more ca cities will be going BK.
The city of the non-existent big gulp is controlled by Dems, unions and an independent Mayor who is more liberal than Fisty. Same in Chicago, the land of legislator fraud. Same in MI - Dem control.
Need to get the fact dude.
