I really, really want Chuck Todd to replace David Gregory on MTP. Last Sunday I channel surfed for an hour in the morning, because I couldn't stand what I saw on any of the political talk shows. These shows are no longer intellectually stimulating or enlightening; watching is more like torture, as people (Republicans) just use them to sell their lies, and the journalists (Gregory) do not stand for truth and integrity. Ended up watching Charles Osgood and enjoyed a politics-free morning.
You know I really would be happy to participate in a focus group, any time you want to improve your news division. I'm sorry I don't have cable, but I do love Rachel Maddow, you should put her on NBC, more often.
LOL Amy B, keep on listening to just those you like politically, just provides you with a skewed outlook on life. I prefer political capital with al hunt (bloombergTV) and charlie rose for a more balanced and objective approach to politics. I may siuspect the both rose and hunt may vote democrat, they do show a way in being relatively neutral during their interviews without the inuendo that maddow and others display.

Stop calling these pundits journalists Amy. Their tabloid hounds. They will pander to anyone, especially the tea people republicans, just to get them on their worthless show. I haven't watched MTP since Gregory took over as the head tabloid hound. The media keeps saying what's wrong with the tea people republican party, they need to look in the mirror and ask what's wrong with us.

They are not Reporting how many BIG GOVERNMENT LAWS are being Placed on Women's Bodies and their Right to Privacy when it comes to their Bodies. The Press NEEDS TO BE SCREAMING about all the VOTER SUPPRESSION TACTICS that the GOP/TEA is STILL TRYING TO TAMPER WITH. This from a Party that wants to Drown Government in a Bath Tub.
I want to see if the Supreme Court is going to decide with these fools. Remember John Roberts Confirmation hearing, he said "that he saw no NEED to Tamper with Settled Law". Well as Far as I am concerned he SHOULD NOT TOUCH THIS ONE - "VOTING RIGHTS LAW".
If let up to the GOP/TEA which has GONE INSANE in recent years, they would not see another, young person, minority vote in this Country without a lot of hassle, or seniors who have voted for over 50 plus years just to win DIRTY.
Why bring in this token? The 'not so Reverend Watkins? Does he stand by his statement that "Black people don't vote the issues"?

I would like to see any rep. stand up to Obama and call him out when he says any one of his made up lies,, just call him out and publicly say to Obama, sir you are not telling the truth, why are you lying to the American voters, and just keep it up until Obama responds,, do any of the rep. have the balls to stick their neck out and make a stand,,

Can you imagine the possibilities for dripping satire about this situation from the progressive's favorite comedian, the acerbic Stephen Colbert? The supposed comic genius who, we are told, is not partisan but a intellectual giant who attacks both sides?
The Southern angle would be big, of course...perhaps showing a picture of a gap-toothed hick with a pickup truck, in a tuxedo, attending the swearing in of the new Congresswoman...
Well, two problems prevent the progressive hero Stephen Colbert from a long insulting riff about "America's Most Wanted" going to Congress...
1) The Congressional candidate whose ex-spouse was featured on "America's Most Wanted" is a Democrat...
2) The Congressional candidate whose ex-spouse was featured on "America's Most Wanted" is Colbert's own sister...
The comedian is not making comedy of this situation, but , surprise, is using his show to talk up his sister's candicacy continuously , and is also fundraising for his sister.
Kinda funny, aint it? Colbert pretends to be a right wing talk show host like O'Reilly...
If O'Reilly tried to abuse his position to push his sister's run for Congress, Colbert would have made such fun out of it !
