As Marco Rubio works to build his profile nationally, Americans who do have an opinion of the Florida senator have a slightly net-negative toward him.
A Pew Research Center poll released Wednesdayfound that 26 percent of U.S. adults have a favorable opinion of the Florida Republican, versus 29 percent who have an unfavorable opinion of Rubio. Thirty-one percent of the poll’s respondents said they hadn’t heard of Rubio; 15 percent said they couldn’t rate him.
The poll was conducted Feb. 14-17, following Rubio’s nationally-televised response to President Barack Obama’s State of the Union address.

The results suggest that Rubio has some work ahead of him to build his profile, and move voters’ opinion of him into net-positive territory, especially if he chooses to pursue the Republican presidential nomination in 2016.
In addition to delivering the State of the Union response, Rubio has participated in bipartisan negotiations to craft a comprehensive immigration reform bill. He’s worked in recent weeks to sell that legislation to conservatives in particular. Rubio also took a high-profile, official trip to Israel and Jordan this week.
The poll found that independents held mixed views – 25 percent favorable, 24 percent unfavorable – toward Rubio.
The Florida senator fares much better among Republicans and Americans who agree with the Tea Party.
Forty-nine percent of Republicans say they have a favorable opinion toward Rubio, versus 18 percent who have an unfavorable opinion of him; nearly a third of Republicans, 32 percent, could not offer a rating of Rubio in the Pew poll. Those who agree with the Tea Party more broadly favor Rubio, 70 to 7 percent.
The Pew poll has a 3.7 percent margin of error for its total sample of all Americans. The subsample of Republicans has a 7.3 percent margin of error, and the subsample of independents has a 6.6 percent margin of error.

I watched his state of the union response. He came across as immature and child like.
I have no huge opinion on the man either way.. but the water thing WAS funny. It's not that he needed water, that happens... it's the way he so awkwardly did it.... keeping weird eye contact with the camera, and it being a comically tiny water bottle on top of it. Should that trump politics? No, but as a comedian, I love a good laugh.

Marco Rubio response to President Obama's SOTU speech was filled with Tea Party hyped-up opinions, which were often opposite of the truth. You can gauge the truthfulness of a person by their use of adjectives and adverbs.
Rubio's speech was the same old stuff. His behavior showed his nervousness and he was so ill at ease that he developed mannerisms and rushed thru his presentation. His policies are constantly changing and he makes a lot of mistakes. Presidential material...No. Chris Christe will take Rubio out in some of the first primaries. Rubio is like Romney - uncomfortable with the public and lacking in depth. He is out of his league in trying to run for president. He is ready to crash and burn before long.
I haven't seen anyone sweat that bad since Nixon told us he wasn't a crook, and it turns out that he WAS a crook.

He wasn't responding to the Obama, he was responding to a fictional Obama that the Republicans created.

Remember when Obama went to visit his ailing grandmother during the campaign? He didn't visit her in 2008, but in 1961! And he planted his own birth announcements in those newspapers.
From what my sources tell me Obama got the time machine from the great-great-great-great-great-grandson of Karl Marx, who also happens to be a decedent of Adolph Hitler's secret love child with Eva Braun. The decedent's name interestingly enough is Barack Marx Braun.
Unhappy with the unfettered free market utopia that had been established across all of the Earth after the wildly successful presidency of Sarah Palin, Braun hatched a diabolical plan to repair the names of his ancestors and rid the Earth of free market principles once and for all.
With the help of the anti-Christ, who has not been able to invade Earth because of the prayer shield that Palin placed on our planet after she joined the Supreme Court, Braun perfected his time machine on Mars.

Even though Obama only had a minor understanding of the Constitution (he only had this minor understanding because of his affirmative action law degree), he explained to the time travelers that he couldn't be president because he was Kenyan.
However because Braun knew just how much Obama hated America (because Braun knew of Obama ties to Rev Wright) he continued to push the issue. Braun explained to Obama just how much damage he could do to America by being president. After a little push by Ayers, Obama accepted the idea and together they hatched their plan to send Obama back in time to plant his own birth announcement.
Because Obama has a total disdain for the American people and thinks we're all a bunch of dumb rednecks that cling to our guns and religion, he didn't think he had to put much effort into falsifying his birth certificate. What he didn't count on was Sheriff Joe and his posse.
It really is that simple! It's just taken someone of Sheriff Joe's intellect to start putting the pieces together. It's all about to unravel!

I totally Agree with Pat Boston, MA - Marco Rubio is NOT Presidential Material and NEVER will Be. Ted Cruz is trying to INSERT himself into the Clown Car of GOP/TEA Senators, and he does not even know what it is to be a U. S. Senator YET! Cruz's questioning of Chuck Hagel was Disgraceful.
Sen. Rubio please FORWARD your MESSAGE to the Latino Community and CC the Rest of the Country. Since you have declared anything coming from the President and Democrats is DEAD ON ARRIVAL regarding Immigration, and you being part of a Party that does not want to even to address the issue until you saw the Latino Community kick your asses in this Election.

All of the leading Republicans tend to have net-negative polling because the policies they stand for are not the policies supported by the American people.
Rubio comes with a shady past. He tries to say that his family were political refugees from Cuba but in actuality they migrated to the US legally and before Castro began his revolution in Cuba. Next, when he was in the Florida Legislature and was a party leader he used Republican party monies to purchase an automobile with a Republican Party credit card and pay for his home when he was having financial problems. There were also suspicions he took money from powerful parties doing business with the state. This guy is not Presidential material unless you want a person of questionable values.
