I will be surprised if anything gets done, let alone passed. The 113th Congress is, so far, on trajectory to challenge the 112th Congress for Worst Congress EVER!

Vote YES for a living wage!

Vote YES for Universal background checks!

Vote YES for a ban on high capacity magazines!

I am sorry, but the gutless republicans won't cross the aisle to do the right thing. It is still the black man, white house syndrome. The shame is America losses every single time. Every thing that Obama has laid out is the future of this country, republicans want to live in the past.

Alaska Girl . . .

The 113th Congress is, so far, on trajectory to challenge the 112th Congress for Worst Congress EVER!

I hear you on that one! The entire Hagel thing has been a JOKE to them! Were they trying to show their collective stupidity by filibustering yesterday and then turning around and stating they'll vote for him when they return from their recess?

I'm pretty sure everyone in this country is sick of John McCain's bull@!$%# as well.

The entire Hagel thing has been a JOKE to them!

Layton, last night on Last Word(I think) Joy Ann Reid of Grio said something interesting. Her thoughts on the Hagel issue is that this is, other than the obvious Republicans pay back, just another way for the Republicans to "run the clock down". She was saying that by pulling these tactics, there won't be time for in depth coverage of Immigration reform, gun safety measures, etc. After she said that it really got me thinking that she is spot on in her assessment. Obviously this is nothing new(to either side I am sure), but I hadn't really thought about it in that context. Interesting, indeed. Happy Friday!

I think the GOP has looked ahead to 2016 and figured that the only way they can possibly win is to continue keeping the economy on life support and pursue voter suppression. Anything that improves life for regular people they are against because they won't get credit for it.

Layton,

The reality is that John McCain doesn't just have a grudge against Hagel, he's still pissed off that he lost to President Obama! Any suggestion that he may be an ally in Obama's second term is wishful thinking.

Steeler Fan ...

I have no clue what they ever have in their little brains. One thing that's been bugging me all week is why was there a response from the party (Rubio) and then another from the teaparty (Rand)? Are they declaring to the world they are two parties? And if so, why was Rubios rebuttal nothing but a rehashed Romney speech?

Alaska Girl---I really like Joy Reid and her take on things isn't always the typical punditry. I think some of these tactics are shiny objects to the media. Look at how they covered the Hagel mess. Meanwhile here in Pennsylvania they are trying to change how we allocate our electoral vote and nothing on that.

#1.7 - Fri Feb 15, 2013 1:46 PM EST

Steeler Fan, I think you are very correct! The Republicans will continue to hold back this country thinking that 2016 will bring the WH back to them and then they can become the "party of yes" and project their party to be the "party of the people". What they fail to realize is that the dye has been cast as to who and what they are as a party and it will take them many years, if they even can, get back to being a more moderate party. With the likes of Ted Cruz in there, I don't see it happening. Too many people, moderate Republicans, Democrats and Independents are paying alot of attention as to the behavior of the modern Republican Party, and it leaves a very bad taste in the many mouths of the American people.

Still blaming Bush/Republicans... Isn't that so 2010? You can only blame somebody for so long BEFORE it becomes your responsibility. But liberals don't understand personal responsibility, they want handouts and everything handed to them.

I'm just hoping President Obama can use his executive powers to get things done, because it's clear the Congress is too dysfunctional to help him fix our problems, if they wanted to, which is pretty clear they don't. Until the Koch Brothers give them permission, Republicans in Congress will avoid reducing gun violence, creating jobs, or, God forbid, address climate change.

Stacking up to be the Worst Congress Ever.

Bob & rukidding - and it's so much easier to blame those who are ACTUALLY responsible - like Bush and the Republican party! Now, if the GOP ever decides to do ANYTHING for the country, we'll be glad to talk about it.

But, we know the GOP frankly doesn't give a damn!

Bob, where in any of these comments do you even see the name Bush?(prior to the comment from SS responding to your comment). Where? I find it amusing that you are the one ranting about Bush, but maybe you see imaginary comments. Might want to see your doctor about that. Oh, and way to keep perpetuating the myth about handouts. Why don't you ask the water boy about handouts? You know, Marco Rubio, who stated that he went to school on the government dime, his father received medical care on the government dime, his mother receives care on the government dime. Now that little Marco got his, he is willing to shut the door behind him, kinda like the other scum bag Lyin Ryan.

The Republican party SUCKS! You know it, Bob, and so does the majority of America.

Bob, do us all a favor and stick yourself and Bush where the sun don't shine.

From the beginning the President has tried to work with the Republicans many times on major issues, and every time they have spit on him. Bottom line the Republican goal from the start was to see Obama fail and be a one term President.

So, to do what’s right for the Nation, the President is hitting back hard this group of obstructionist, who has been hurting the Nation, and showing them and the country that he means business, while proving that he is the great leader we the people elected TWICE!!!

Now, President Obama does not want to “annihilate” the Republican Party. However, I would love to see them voted out of power. Oh yes, “annihilate” them.

Just think of how wonderful life in our nation would be if the number of Republicans in office was drastically reduced and they were re-built to a civil party that the people could actually respect again.

Breaking news update:

Yesterday on the Valentine's Day, these GOP leaders have renewed their marriage vow to the concept of 'Do-Nothing Congress'. The conservative party has always been faithful to the traditionalvalues of marriage, and decided to use the opportunity of the Valentine's Day to make a statement.

As the the question of this news article title: What can and can't pass

Hmmmm, since GOP leaders have been so much in love with this 'Do-nothing congress', why would they do anything to change it? They are serious about their devotion to their values of 'do-nothing'

From the beginning the President has tried to work with the Republicans many times on major issues

You say that like it's a good thing? I was just over on the Pew polling website, and I learned that the word "compromise" appeals to Democrats and, to a slightly lesser extent, to Independents, whereas Republicans prefer their politicians "stick to their principles."

So here is President Obama, all open to any good idea out there, eager to work with Republicans to address our problems...but Republican voters don't care if their leaders bring the country to it's knees as long as they don't, egad, compromise. When are we going to learn that Republicans and Democrats are different animals - Democrats gave Bush support after 9/11, but Republicans refused to cooperate with Obama on anything.

Bob, there is no denying that Bush nearly crippled this country, and it will indeed take years to recover from it. It didn't happen overnight and it sure as hell cannot be brought back to the pre-Bush levels overnight. No, not everything that president Obama has tried to do has been successful, but he, along with fellow Democrats, were the only ones willing to roll up their sleeves to try and get this country going again. From day one, the GOP has done everything they can do to thwart his efforts. My question to you is, why? Why would your party do the things they have done to this president? Do you think that the majority of Americans are all living in some sort of alternative universe, when so many of us agree that this new party of extremists has behaved in such a fashion at the cost of moving this country further than it would be if not for their extreme ideologies and apparent extreme distate(I am being kind using this word instead of the word I really think fits) for this president, in particular.

@ myvote: Combat Cat! I love it! Tell me, is that really some kind of helmet, because without really looking very hard, it appears to be a green apple hollowed out and fashioned into a helmet. Either way, quite adorable, and I am sooo not a cat fan.

Bob, sometimes blame needs to go on for years. When the impact of the failed Bush Administration continues to affect the country and the world people need to understand that impact. Bush is so used to screwing up royally but daddy's contacts make it okay and things are quickly forgotten. Most people aren't willing to cover for Georgie and he must take the blame for the major mess he made. That mess won't be cleaned up in a year or two. It took him 8 years to make it and it is going to take nearly that long to fix the mess.

I'm less optimistic than you are dangerfield...the polls show record low approval ratings for Congress - and the Republicans clearly don't care. Polls show the public is more interested in increasing employment - and Republicans focus on cutting spending, which will jeopardize jobs. Until their major donors start taking Republicans to task for their obstruction, nothing will get done. It's pretty apparent who calls the shots - not the voters, obviously, but the money men.

LIBERALS.....licking up the "presidents droppings", and then regurgitating the "agenda" that LIES within. Read the "comments" here and you will see the brilliant strategy that Democrats have adopted.

Each and every liberal post here refers to Obama, as a "victim" not a "leader". Poor Obama if Republicans would just "compromise", and not stand in the way of his agenda, what a "perfect World" it could be.

J D you are exactly right, Democrat "give aways" may bankrupt the Nation, but Democrats only see benefits in buying the votes.

Democrats need to spend OTHERS money to stay in power, and when the "coffers" begin to run dry, accuse Republicans of being "obstructionists".

How can Obama can fix things(victim), if the Republicans stand in his way?

Obama is only trying to make things "fair", and what could be wrong with that?

. Obama and the Democrats(and the liberal media) merely need to point to your neighbor and claim, his home, his car, his life is better than yours and its UNFAIR.

And Obama is "trying" to make things FAIR, all Obama simply asks of your neighbor is to "downsize".

while proving that he is the great leader we the people elected TWICE!!!

Great Campaigner is more like it, Yes what a politician Pharaoh Obama is,especially the use of ends justify the means political destruction tactics "we will give him kudos for his power to get elected, however as a leader he is sadly lacking in any quantifiable substantive ability. One question Why is it that he never seems to be Governing during crucial events? Could it be he is more interested in mitigating personal political damage when it comes to real life consequences? or is delegating responsibility/blame his high card?

                Gooday.

To all you clueless liberals The President of the United States

For all the ridiculous stories that are pumped through the media airways, one would think they could at least squeeze THIS story in somewhere? We are talking about the President of the United States of America, the Full Supreme Court, and complete with possible involvement of the CIA nominee John Brennan, and no one in our pathetic media feels this is news worthy?

“Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States, the Hon. John Roberts has scheduled to hear a case by attorney Orly Taitz dealing with Barack Hussein Obama’s use of forged IDs to be heard in conference before the United States Full Supreme Court.”

The Hon. John Roberts, Chief Justice has scheduled to hear case regarding Obama’s forged IDs in conference before the Full Supreme Court

Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States, the Hon. John Roberts has scheduled to hear a case by attorney Orly Taitz dealing with Barack Hussein Obama’s use of forged IDs to be heard in conference before the United States Full Supreme Court.

A Congressional Petition has been posted online replacing the Taitz petition that was removed from WhiteHouse.GOV. This new Congressional Petition has taken on a life of its own!

The birther case became less a source of entertainment when New York Times best-selling author Jerome Corsi suggested that the president’s nominee to head the Central Intelligence Agency, John Brennan, may have played a role in removing birther evidence from Barack Obama‘s passport records.

It appears that in 2008, a State Department insider was simultaneously employed by Analysis Corporation of McLean, Va. (then headed by Mr. Brennan) and was reprimanded for accessing (and possibly altering) Obama’s passport records.

It is likely that the overwhelming information coming from credible parties cannot be ignored any longer and it might be the reason behind the decision by the Hon. Chief Justice John Roberts to grant Taitz a full Supreme Court Conference on February 15, 2013. This story will be updated as the events evolve.

The case titled Noonan, Judd, MacLeran, Taitz v Bowen provides a mountain of evidence of Barack Obama using a last name not legally his, forged Selective Service application, forged long form and short form birth certificate and a Connecticut Social Security number 042-68-4425 which was never assigned to him according to E-Verify and SSNVS.

Additionally, this case provides evidence of around one and a half million invalid voter registrations in the state of California alone. Please, keep in mind, Richard Nixon was reelected and sworn in, but later was forced to resign as a result of Watergate.

We cannot forget that over 30 high ranking officials of Nixon administration including Attorney General of the United States and White House Counsel were indicted, convicted and subsequently wound up in prison. According to Orly Taitz, Obama Forgery gate is a hundred times bigger then Watergate.

More corrupt high ranking officials, US Attorneys, AGs and judges were complicit, committed high treason by allowing a citizen of Indonesia and possibly still a citizen of Kenya Barack Hussein Obama, aka Barack (Barry) Soebarkah, aka Barack (Barry) Soetoro to usurp the U.S. Presidency by use of forged IDs and a stolen Social security number SCOTUS printout is below.

The decision of the Supreme Court will be released on Tuesday

                President Harrison J. Bounel

February 15, 2013 by Bob Livingston

Who is Harrison J. Bounel? According to the 2009 tax return submitted by President Barack Obama, he’s the President of the United States. All nine U.S. Supreme Court Justices are scheduled to discuss this anomaly today.

The case in question is Edward Noonan, et al v. Deborah Bowen, California Secretary of State, and the Justices are finally looking at it thanks to the dogged determination of Orly Taitz. The case calls into question many of the documents Obama (Bounel, Soetoro, Soebarkah, etc.) has used and/or released as authentic since he came on the national scene. The case contends that the documents — birth certificate, Social Security number, Selective Service registration, etc. — are fakes or forgeries. If that’s the case, Obama should not have been on the California ballot in 2008 and, therefore, should not have received the State’s electoral votes.

Four of the nine Justices must vote to move the case forward. We’ll see.

Meantime, on Feb. 4, Kathleen O’Leary, presiding judge of the 4th District Court of Appeal, reinstated the appeal of Taitz v. Obama et al filed by Taitz when she ran for Senate. That case involves evidence of 1.5 million invalid voter registrations in the State of California. The appeal also involves Obama’s lack of legitimacy to hold the office of President based on his forged IDs, stolen Connecticut Social Security number, the fact the last name he’s using is not legally his and his fraudulent claim to be the U.S. citizen.

                Evidence in the case includes:

                • A certified copy of the passport records of Obama’s mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, showing her son’s legal last name to be Soebarkah, not Obama.
                • Obama’s school records from Indonesia, showing his citizenship to be Indonesian.
                • Sworn affidavits of top law enforcement experts and investigators, showing Obama’s birth certificate and Selective Service certificate are forgeries and that the Social Security number used by Obama on his 2009 tax returns as posted on WhiteHouse.gov was fraudulent. (The SSN failed when checked through both E-Verify and the Social Security Number Verification Service.)

On another legal front, Obama defaulted in the case of Grinols et al v. Obama et al on Jan. 30 when he failed to file a response within 21 days of being served notice of the suit. This case also involves Obama’s phony SSN.

                The suit states:

Investigator Albert Hendershot found in the database of the name of the individual whose Social Security Obama is using. Acxciom-batch-solutions showed (Exhibit 1) that Harry J Bounel with the same Social Security number xxx-xx-4425 at 5046 S Greenwood Ave in Chicago, home address of Barack Obama, Database shows Bounel with the same address and Social Security number as Barack Obama himself. According to the databases last changes to the information on Harrison (Harry) J Bounel were made in and around November 2009 by Michelle Obama, who is listed as Bounel’s relative. Database changes can involve entering the information or deletion of information. It appears that changes made by relative Michelle Obama included deletion of information, which was done at a time when Taitz brought to Federal court in the Central District of California before Judge David O. Carter a case of election challenge by her client, former U.S. ambassador Dr. Alan Keyes and 40 state Representatives and high ranked members of the U.S. Military.

Recently obtained results of the 1940 census, Exhibit 2, provided the last missing link, link (sic) between Harry J. Bounel and the date of birth of 1890. Exhibit 2 shows the printout of the U.S. census, showing Harry J Bounel, immigrant from Russia, residing at 915 Daly Ave, Bronx, NY, age 50 during the 1940 census, meaning he was born in 1890, as shown in the affidavit of Investigators Daniels and Sankey.

There is a pattern of Obstruction of Justice and tampering with the official records and falsification/forgery of the official records related to Obama. This happens in particular when [George W.] Bush employees leave their positions and are replaced by Obama appointees.

Taitz has asked for expedited default judgment and post judgment discovery in this case out of fear that any records on hand at the Social Security office will be destroyed when George W. Bush-appointed Commissioner Michael Astrue leaves office in February. Records that might have proven Obama’s Selective Service registration was a forgery were destroyed in 2009 after Bush-appointed Selective Service Director William Chatfield resigned, Taitz alleges.

Disclaimer: Dr. Taitz, Esq. has no means of checking the veracity of all the claims and allegations in the articles.

                From Orly Taitz:

Some good news and some bad news. Good news is that the 9th circuit VACATED an order by Judge Guilford, when Guilford denied my motion to dismiss Berg and Liberi’s case in AntiSLAPP. That is great. Bad news, a transmission on my car suddenly died. Thank god it did not happen in the middle of the freeway, I could be dead.

The word is spreading, 2 million 30 thousand hits on Google under Orly Taitz, I am sure massive scrubbing will start right about now.
