Last night, I realized, I will no longer wince when someone calls me a liberal, like I have since the rise of right-wing talk radio.

By applying the term liberal to the President, Republicans have finally redeemed it from an insult, to a word that connotes intelligence, integrity and trustworthy-ness.

Glad you came around, though I'm not sure why anyone should mind being called a liberal. What's wrong with being progressive? To me the opposite always means backward-looking and stubbornly delusional. Everyone is nostalgic for the past, but conservatives so often refuse to accept the realities of the present.

I let the conservatives in my family browbeat me for too long for being a liberal. Even the media uses the term liberal as if it were the kiss-of-death for a politician. Well, you know what? The record of conservative politicians is dogged by failure. Look at who they call a liberal: the brightest, most effective Presidents in our history. (Heck, compared to today's Republicans, even Reagan was a liberal : )

We all should be proud to be called Liberals.

BTW: Conservative has become a dirty word. And the funny thing is they did it to themselves.

If you wonder why NBC and the networks seems to be in such synch with the Obama Administration, here is what they dont tell you...

President Barack Obama had lunch Tuesday with members of his cheerleading squad, the anchors of the networks...But we likely won't find out what was discussed: The entire luncheon was off the record.

"The anchors of all three broadcast evening newscasts -- NBC’s Brian Williams, ABC’s Diane Sawyer and CBS’s Scott Pelley -- will be in attendance," Huffington Post reported today.

Former aides to Democratic politicians who are now working as [supposed] journalists were scheduled to be in attendance, too. And there are quite a few of those!

"Some cable hosts will also be on hand, including MSNBC's Chris Matthews (may need medication to control his tingling). George Stephanopoulos, co-host of ABC's 'Good Morning America,' is attending." George did the dirty work for Clinton, no doubt he can advise the latest liberal President as well as getting his marching orders...

Low level propagandists at First Read werent invited, but if they do a good job selling out their journalistic credibility and praise Obama 24/7, maybe they will be invited next year!

GOPer or should I say Goober? Anyway I hope you realize that those folks at the luncheon are all Republicans who happen to be news anchors. What could POTUS have done or said that would make them report any differently than they would otherwise?

George Stephanopolous is a Democrat and commented as one. On ABC they had both sides represented, as they usually do. Each had their opportunity to comment and did so. With George for the Democrats was Donna Brazille. I don't remember who the Republicans had, Diane Sawyer was one but the other woman I don't know.

Was it just me or did the President actually say last night that he wants the government controlling everything? which well we'll be part of the EU before you know it.
