Tagg Romney not running for Senate

Tagg Romney, son of former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, will not run in the special election to fill the vacant Senate seat in Massachusetts, a source close to Tagg tells NBC News.

The Boston Herald had reported Monday that Tagg was thinking about a run.

Or, Red-Tag Sale on the Romney Family!

Tagg never ever really wanted to run anyway. He was the last man that wanted to run...........paraphrasing one of the Romney Dwarfs.

I guess the little guy didn't want to take a swing at it, lol! What happened to the voting machine purchase? How did that turn out? It didn't help daddy, that's for sure.

Well...maybe Mitt will come out of hiding and a do a presser telling us how much Tagg never really wanted to be a Senator, but everyone was just asking him to....just like Tagg came out and said that Mitt never really wanted to be President but did it because he so loved all the rest of the little minions that populate America?

What a guy. Lord only knows where America would be w/o such 'America lovin' people.

Since he runs a venture capital firm, he couldn't stand the scrutiny of is tax returns any more than his beknighted father could stand it.

That is an extremely idiotic statement. You can't lose if you don't run.

But just like "dear old dad" he's not sure he really wants the job. Yeah, right! He couldn't get elected as Sewer Commissioner. Go away Romney's. Enough already.

The other brother, the one that had a Mexican father, should run. He'd appeal to minorities better.

WTF are you talking about!?!? You're crazy, the people bringing up the Romney's are mainstream media that try finding new ways to bash the Romney family even more. Mitt hasn't even talked publicly since his loss so I don't see how they could "Go away." Leave them alone!

Bob - yes Romney did something no other candidate since Dukakis has done - he missed the inauguration for the man who beat him. And, no one has seen him for a LONG time. I guess when you're Mitt and you lose you go into hiding!

Ann did say she was concerned about his mental health. And that is when she thought he was winning. I wonder how he is handling it now. It is hard when rich boys can't buy something. I don't exactly know how or why he thought he would win to begin with. What did he have to offer and why did he think he could be president. I am not convinced he could even preside over a meeting let alone a country. When you run a meeting you have to act like you are in charge. He never acted like that.

Sounds like a racial or what ever statement to me, even if he is a fag himself. Just stick to your job, any thing will be better then the ass you are trying to kiss, even if it is prejudicial. Protecting Americans is your job, she never ever did that. Obama sure knows how to pick idiots to think his way and work for him.

Anthony, I agree with Seeking Sanity. You are totally off base with your comments. They make no sense since no one is calling him a fag or anything other than a loser. If you think Tagg refers to anything but his name look it up. That is his name, his real name just like yours is Anthony.

Frankly, equating his name to the children's chasing game is amusing. Alot worse could be said.

For the record, I don't intend to run either. Also I know nothing about this guy, and I doubt any of you do either. Seems like a lot of hate tossed his way based on who his father is. I thought liberals did not prejudge, or launch in to venomous speech based in hate. Just kidding, you are the same as the people you hate.

Sane - I don't hate Tagg nor do I hate Mitt. I just don't care for them and would NEVER want either of them in a position of "leadership" since neither has that ability. See we are different than the little rightwingers who truly HATE the President - for no reason except his color. And, you can couch it any way you want but that is the true reason they HATE him.

Seeking: You are such a LIAR. Why don't you man-up and admit that your "hateful" comments were some of the most vicious on the subject of the Romney's than anybody else. And I believe you're forgetting that Pres. Obama is bi-racial. People don't hate him because of that. Most intelligent people will comment against his policies. So cut the race crap.

          #6.2 - Mon Feb 4, 2013 10:07 PM EST

Believe'n - I definitely DID not want Mitt the nitwit to be President. No doubt about it. However, I don't hate the man. I have no use for him but I reserve hate for someone who has earned it. And those are few and far between. Mitt isn't worth the energy it takes to hate.

And, sorry liar but people hate the President because he's black. It isn't that the just disagree with his policies, they HATE him - because a black man had the nerve to run for President, and win- twice!!!!!

So, either admit the truth or go on being a liar. Frankly I don't care. We all know the truth. The fact that you can't admit to it says everything about you!

Isn't he the one who made some ignorant comments after a debate or something? When you open your mouth people listen. And you only have the chance to make a first impression once. He blew it didn't he?

hate to break it to ya, Sane, but my distaste for Tagg has nothing to do with who his father happens to be. Ol' Taggart has done plenty on his own to give me the impression that he is nothing more than a spoiled, out-of-touch trust fund brat. But please, let him decide to run---it would be a guaranteed win for the dems

That's right Sanity, he's a negro, and that is all they see. They don't even see that he is half white. Now, if white is better than black shouldn't the white take precedence over the black?

Believe in America - I am glad the republicans are such nice guys. Do you ever listen to what they say in general. Some of your talk show leaders make up ridiculous crap and you believe it, repeat it over and over and you think it is fact. It has nothing to do with Obamas policies. The republicans demonstrate daily that they have no idea what they even are. If they stated some policy that Obama stood for and then ranted and raved against that it would be different. But they don't. And everyone has to remember under the Constitution he represents everyone. Not only Christians. God knows that. I wish others would recognize it too.
