On his first day as Secretary of State, John Kerry joked about being a man in what’s been a woman’s agency for nearly a decade.
"Here's the big question before the country and the world and the State Department after the last eight years: can a man actually run the State Department?” Kerry told a large and enthusiastic crowd of Foreign Service Officers and staff at Foggy Bottom. “As the saying goes, ‘I have big heels to fill’.”
Of course, Kerry was talking about replacing Hillary Clinton (D) and Condoleezza Rice (R) before that in the Bush administration, but going slightly further back, there hasn’t been a white male to head State in 16 years, since Warren Christopher under Clinton.
Establishing his "bona fides" with the diplomats, he waved his first diplomatic passport: given him when he was a 12-year-old boy traveling to Berlin with his father and family for their assignment at the post-war U.S. embassy.
Speaking Monday, incoming Secretary of State John Kerry asked, jokingly, "Can a man actually run the State Department?" NBC's Brian Williams reports.
He even told a story about using it to ride his bike into East Berlin on the wrong side of the wall, saying he got a tongue-lashing later from his father, who told him he could have become an international incident. His passport was lifted, and he was grounded.
The State Department has been besieged by bad news in recent months – from the killing of U.S. Amb. Chris Stevens and three other Americans at a consulate in Benghazi, Libya, to the suicide bombing in front of the U.S. embassy in Ankara, Turkey.
“So I pledge to you: I will not let their patriotism and their bravery be obscured by politics, No. 1,” he said of those who died in Benghazi. “No. 2, I guarantee you that beginning this morning, when I report for duty upstairs, everything I do will be focused on the security and safety of our people."
Kerry ended on an idealistic note.
“What other job can you have where you get up every day and advance the cause of nation and also keep faith with the ideals of your country on which it is founded, and most critically meet our obligations to our fellow travelers on this planet?” he said. “That's as good as it gets, and I'm proud to be part of it with you. So now let's get to work.”
After Kerry’s speech, he placed calls to his counterparts in Britain, France, and Germany, three of America’s closest allies.
After meeting with senior staff, Kerry met the Afghan National Institute of Music Group which was in the building today. Later, he will briefed on the implementation of the Accountability Review Board’s recommendations on how to prevent another attack like the one in Benghazi.

Just say a news crawl: "Jeraldo Rivera considers a New Jersey run for Senate"
Hooo-Boy. Where's that protracted "HaHaHaHahH......" from Joe when you need it??
That bozo will never be elected here.
Pretty sure he'd be running against Cory Booker. People love Cory! He was fantastic on Bill Maher Friday night.
Run, Cory, Run!
My wife saw the pic of Cory saving the neglected dog from that house, and that was it. Its Cory this and Cory that. I'll put Cory for Senate and our current Crispy Creme for Gov., and we're good.
I personally can't wait for Tagg Romney to threaten Ed Markey the way he threatened President Obama.
Republicans, please ... tell me that this isn't the best you can do.
TFNJ . . .
I agree with your wife! That and he's super easy on the eyes!
LOL, hmm I wonder if that is part of my wife's fan status too.
After the dog and him saving the woman from the burning house, I called him Batman.
John!!! Don't you know NOT to ever use the word "big" when you're talking about a woman!
He may as well have said he has big butt prints to fill.
Democrats don't say anything about the corrupt Sen. Menendez, but they love to talk about everybody else, who is not a liberal, decency is not in the liberal dictionary , trips to Republican Dominic with young prostitutes, where is your support against child prostitution. Don't trow stones if you live in a glass house.
I did't know he dress with heels.
Kerry's got more than Hillary's big heels to fill. Apparently, he never noticed how big those pants suits had to be to contain that big broad beam and those thunder thighs
I've seen pics of Kerry in high heels.............he doesn't have the legs for them.
Ahhhhh, the Progressive love for one another continues.
Let's wait and see what Mr. Kerry proposes for Foreign policy with Iran, North Korea, Russia, China, and the "remaining" (oooops did I say "remaining" instead of "decimated" ?) al Qaida network(s).
I wonder why all the feminists aren't on here screaming "sexist" for Kerry's remark.
Maybe because he is a DEM?
I agree, his comment could easily be construed as being very sexist! By the way, Colin Powell was SOS before Condolizza.

If this guy is a United States Senator, then the proper person would be the President of the United States Senate who is Vice President Joe Biden. You can call him directly or send him an email.
what a pussy, I knew he was a cross dresser

I'll bet Kerry looks "I'm too sexy for my suit"... in Theresa's Fur Trimmed Bra And Panties, garter belt and fishnet stockings !!!
And now he's got Hillary's heels to complete the outfit !!!
Kerry: "I have big heels to fill"
What about her bra?
Faux 'News' Version of Headline:
Kerry Blasts Condi Rice as "Having Big Feet!"
Kerry is just pompous enough to think he does look better in heels then Hillary ever can.
I wish John Kerry the best of luck in his new role, and I am confident he will make our country proud.
Think how much better off we would have been as a nation if he would have won the presidency in 2004.
Our troops would have been home from Afghanistan by now, and the recession could have been avoided or minimized.
TNSEVOL . . .
Great post.
I think John Kerry is ready to get to work and with the attitude stated above, he will continue the work that Secretary Clinton so beautifully started for our Nation.
I suppose that some of us hope that John Kerry does a much improved job over Hillary of the past four years. I would like to see him rise to the standard and respect of Rice or Powell. In my heart of hearts I hope that he can be given the authority to protect our state department employees around the world and that he will remember that he represents the American people (all of the American people) in State affairs.
I wish him well but I would caution him about wearing heels to state functions....some world leaders frown upon openly cross dressing.
When it comes to Hilary's job well done; or even his wife's millions, he will never ketchup with them.
A friend who works at the State Dept. was telling me it is a big tradition to give a send off to the outgoing Secretary and then a welcome to the new Secretary. Each makes remarks at the event. She said that while the permanent workers always respect whoever is the Secretary, regardless of party, the affection for Hillary was way beyond anything she has ever seen.
txmom32- I pity any children you raise. You are so hell-bent on hatred you have no rational way to judge the job people do. Hillary did an outstanding job as Secretary of State and no-doubt Kerry will do a good job as well. Oh, and just so you know, President Obama is heads above Bush, McCain and Romney - as well as the rest of the Republican party!
TNSEVOL, well said. Kerry will be another great Secretary of State.
After Kerry's hearing Lawrence O did a great segment showing a young John Kerry testifying before Congress against the Vietnam War. My decision to support Kerry in the 2004 Iowa Caucus was based to some degree on that young man I remembered; my thinking was that he won't be so quick to start wars without end. Wish I'd kept the news articles from those years. "How do you ask the last man to die in Vietnam? How do you ask the last man to die in Vietnam for a mistake?" As Lawrence also pointed out, it was John Kerry who invited an unknown Illinois State Senator to be the keynote speaker at the 2004 Convention; he brought Barack Obama to the national stage.
SF, that's probably very true. I remember the day Hillary Clinton started at State; what a welcome she got. I also remember reading that Condi Rice was not well liked because she wasn't very good at the job.
John McCain's wife, Cindy, has all the money in that family; wonder why the right never makes jokes about her beer distributorships.
While I have great respect Colin Powell, my respect for Condi Rice is merely because she presents herself well. She was a terrible National Security Advisor, and not much better as Secretary of State; not because she isn't a highly intelligent and capable person but because government was not her best suit. She didn't have the ability or the courage to stand up to Cheney and Rumsfeld who pretty much ran rough-shod over anything she might have contributed.
Jody . . .
Excellent summation of Condi. She made a nice "figurehead" but I certainly couldn't see her in a hearing being grilled and standing her ground the way Secretary Clinton did.
Good news on TV. That young boy being held hostage in an underground bunker is safe; the hostage taker is dead.
Condi had nothing to contribute. You would be hard-pressed to name one accomplishment that she had while she was either National Security Director or Secretary of State.
She stood her ground in the hearings after September 11, in case you have forgotten, by total denial of responsibility. Who could have guessed that anyone would kill themselves flying airplanes into buildings, even though suicide bombings in the Middle East are as old as Methuselah, and even though she knew that there were Arabs in the United States training themselves to fly airplanes on one-way flights.
Bin-Laden Determined to Attack Within United States? Well, at least according to Condi Rice, I never.
And don't get me started on Benazir Bhutto, or Rice's inability to get aid from our NATO allies as Afghanistan was failing in 2007 and 2008.
She just plain had nothing to contribute except an outdated cold-war mentality.
Jody - just read that! I'm SOOOO glad! I just hope he didn't have to see them kill his abductor. He'll have a hard time getting over that!
Seeking and Jody, what a couple of phony hypocrites you two are. Pathetic liberals.
Yes it would have been then you moonbat liberals could lay claim to electing the first War Criminal. Then electing a Communist would not have been so bad. Kerry is an IDIOT and isn't qualified to be a dog catcher just another in a long line of Democratic leaders whom have never held a real job
Moonbat? How many times do you use "Maobama"? Are these supposed to be funny? They are not all that clever...a 3rd grader mentality.
Joe - I'd rather be a liberal than a lowlife Repulican like the crazies on here who go ballistic when anyone talks about guns. It truly is a sickness! But, don't worry - you fit right in!
Between my father, myself and a sister and brother in law we have commited 75 years to service in the military. I have earned the right to use whatever terms I choose. I also have a degree in Electrical Engineering so my 3rd grade education has been very, very good to me.
realist . .
In your book possibly, but in mine you've earned NOTHING.
realist - you've earned our respect for serving. That's it! That doesn't give you the right to use terms that are derogatory and no one who has truly served in the military disrespects the President or anyone else who serves in public office - even if they don't like him. They have been trained to know better!
Seeking ....
You're so correct and if it's true, I will acknowlege that. Having my father being a vet, the ex was a vet, both my brothers, the man I live with is a vet, as are his brothers, none of them ever bring it up for a "see what I've done" moment. If I tallied all of my loved ones time, I'm sure I could knock realist out of the park. As you stated,
Humility in public. Boldness in service.
The above attack, even targeting my children, was from seeking sanity, (good luck with that), 2.5
First to address your comprehension issues, I wished Kerry success in his new position. I would prefer him to represent America along the well respected and trusted lines of SOS Powell or SOS Rice. In keeping up with current history, if you were paying attention, which it seems you definitely were not. During the entire Bush Administration, at which we were at war in two nations, there were a total of 8 US Embassy attacks. In the past two years of the Obama administration with Hillary leading our Foreign policy there were 7 attacks on US embassies around the world. Keeping in mind these past two years we have been withdrawing troops from Iraq and we have announced our withdrawal date from Afghanistan and we have overthrown a few dictators (only to have them replaced with new unknown factions) and supported the Arab spring.
Now here are the very real, very serious concerns with the Obama Foreign Policy under Hillary Clinton. Obama is consistent about drone strikes into Pakistan that once was treated as an ally in foreign policy. Obama aided in the overthrow of the Egyptian Government, once treated as an ally in foreign policy now under Muslim Brotherhood control. Obama supported the uprising in Libya, even though Gaddafi, through tenuous efforts by Powell and Rice, had come around to meet American demands for the destruction and terrorist efforts he supported and to paid recompense to families of the victims of terrorist acts promoted by Libya. Under SOS's Powell and Rice Libya had consented to observers and eliminated their chemical weapons program further showing good faith toward being a global citizen. It is reasonable to believe that Obama supported the assassination of Gaddafi as one more failed foreign policy because we really don't know who exactly is in control of the Libyan Government now. In addition to his policy toward Libya Obama and SOS Clinton completely undermined the integrity of our nation in honoring our agreements by killing the man who was finally complying with his global responsibilities. Now we shall see what becomes of Syria. I believe that the failure to safeguard the Turkish embassy also falls under Hillary due to the timing of transition.
SOS Hillary Clinton has been a dismal fail when it came to representing America abroad. Her final act as SOS was to take responsibility, but not really, for the deaths of American personnel abroad. The fact that she kept up the Administration charade of "it was a demonstration gone bad" is an embarrassment to our nation and the office she held and truly to her own legacy.
Now, as for what I teach my children. I teach them independence and integrity. I teach them to know what the hell they are talking about and that I don't have to agree and they have my respect when they can back up their points of view. I teach my children that honesty is paramount to becoming a good adult and that service to their community is just a part of our American heritage. I praise my children for their accomplishments and offer guidance if they fall short of an expectation. I teach my children a strong work ethic by example. I teach my children to love and to respect others and if others fall short well, I don't expect them to suffer fools. My children are tremendous individuals and I admire each of them.
So please save your pity for children who do not have parents who love them, honor them and cherish their contributions to what can be at times a very ugly world. Save your pity for children whos parents put their own needs ahead of the child. Save your pity for children who's parents can't or won't properly care for them. Save your pity for the children who are ignored in this world and suffer very low expectations because their parents just don't give a damn. My kids, they are good and they will do their part to make this world better.
TNSEVOL- Kerry's a very good and decent American. And look what they (GOP) did to him during the run up to the presidential elections. And now, listen to them howl when the Obama campaign used comon sense, facts and intelligent arguments to defeat Romney this time around.
Sheesh.
drive -- facts and common sense??? -- like calling him a tax cheat with no proof; like calling him a muderer?
the obama campaign was the dirtiest in recent history full of distortion and outright lies.
drive-by -
And look what they (GOP) did to him during the run up to the presidential elections.
And now Karl Rove thinks he is coming to the rescue of the Republican Party. Look what they did to John McCain, Hillary Clinton, Susan Rice and Chuck Hagel. It wasn't the tea party who did that. It was Karl Rove & Co.
A now he is going to get filthy rich off of his latest endeavor and that's all he's going to accomplish. People will give him millions. For what?
He is a despicable human being.
And now all these republicans coming out of the woodwork, looking for sanity in their party? Who are they kidding? They voted for Sarah Palin and John McCain in 2008. They DEFENDED the tea party once upon a time.
Paul Krugman was on Morning Joe last week. The panel he was up against (GOP) didn't know what the hell they were talking about. It was embarrassing.
They need to go away and start over. Karl Rove caused great harm to our Nation.
"like calling him a tax cheat with no proof" Look- Mitt Romney could have offered proof, but elected not to. And I think we all know why. At least those of us not in complete and total denial.
As for calling him a murderer, please put up the quote where Obama did that, would you please? My memory seems to be failing me. I guess it could have been the RNC or a super pac that did it. But then that would rank down there with the 'you-didn't-build-that' level of dishonesty, wouldn't it?
billybob-
Please show me where the "Obama campaign" ever called Romney a tax cheat or a murderer.
I don't think you can because it never happened.
Romney and his surrogates (Trump, Sunnunnu) did however question President Obama's citizenship, patriotism and religion.
Drive---"Kerry's a very good and decent American"
Yes, except when he called us fellow Vietnam vets "murderers"---right before he threw his medals over the White House fence. Other than that, he's a great guy!
Jarhead- please give us a brief synopsis ofthe 'MiLai massacre' , would you?
Thanks for you service Jar. Sorry he disrespected you.
Mi Lai made the news drive by, but war kills babys, any war. So I take it that Jarhead doesn't like Kerry, because he was being honest. I wonder how many of the 100,000 Iraqi was baby's?
Drive--over two million servicemen served in Vietnam. You probably weren't one of them---I was. Toe to toe with the NVA in I Corps. I have friends whose names are on the Vietnam Memorial Wall. 19 year old kids. No need to apologize for your insinuation. I got similar at the San Francisco airport in 1969. Ever been spit on for defending your country? That's what Kerry did to us. Semper Fi.
Jarhead, I have many family members and high school friends who served in Vietnam. Not one of them felt they provided us with our freedom.
They were actually back home marching in anti-war protests because they felt we didn't belong there and didn't want to see more kids just out of high school going to Vietnam. Brave souls, every single one of them who protested.
Viet Nam was a democratic mistake. We should not have followed the french, it basically was lost at that time. 58,000 dead boys and girls and yes I think anyone my age knows somebody on that wall. Jarhead, I do respect your service, but there are two sides to everything or there would be no war. I happen to believe Kerry was concerned, that some of his 18-20 year old friends wasn't coming back alive also. I know lots of people that went to Nam, myself I didn't, many of them came back so screwed up in one way or another. That is true of any war. People see things they shouldn't in life. It changes a way of thinking. Yeah, I'm sorry but I also think adding and subtracting, Kerry was right.
Jarhead - VietNam was a huge mistake for our country. However, I have the utmost respect for every soldier who served. They were sent there thinking this was a just war and they served the country well. Please accept thanks for your service which was and is just as valuable as anyone else who served our country at any time.
Johntho --
Viet Nam was a Republican mistake (Eisenhower), accelerated by Democrats (Kennedy and Johnson), and perpetuated by another Republican (Nixon), whose secret plan to end the war apparently consisted of losing it. Jarhead doesn't realize, perhaps, and maybe you don't, either, that more than 30,000 of those 50,000+ soldiers died under Nixon.
Nixon had the power to stop it. And the fact that anyone was unfortunate enough to have served in that war doesn't make it right.
Kerry was right, as you say. And Jarhead apparently fails to realize that it was he and his brethren that Kerry was fighting for when he threw those medals over the fence.
On the whole, liberals don't want soldiers to die. They want soldiers to come home.
Jarhead, thanks for your service. I disagree, it wasn't John Kerry who caused so much pain for the military men who were lucky enough to return from that war. John Kerry didn't disrespect the veterans, he disrespected the leaders who sent them there and then kept them there fighting with the common military reasoning that "more troops and we can win" this one. Protesting that war ultimately ended it. Had it not been for John Kerry's testimony before Congress, how many more Americans would have died and been injured fighting that unnecessary war. Wasn't 58,000 dead and missing enough? And before you say something, just know this, I lost my fiance' to that nightmare called Vietnam.
Jarhead, as a Vietnam era vet, myself I want to thank you for your service. Not everyone who went to Nam wanted to go. Many kids were drafted and ended up with their names on that wall. I had highschool friends who's names are on there. I find it hard to even go near the wall knowing I will see their names and horrible memories of their dying so young will be remembered. We had no business there but soldiers followed orders and off they trooped. I wasn't in Vietnam but would have gone and did my best when I got there. I opposed the war but my opinion didn't count. Kerry was sending a message to power. If we can't do that than why bother to have a democracy at all? At the time it made no impact on decisions made by high ranking officials but he sent his message anyway. That took courage many didn't have.
Of course the war was long over before he got any serious reaction because he was in a position as a Presidential Candidate to have the issue brought to the forefront.
War should ALWAYS be a LAST resort. Unfortunately like Iraq & Afghanistan it wasn't a last resort. The dominos didn't fall but Vietnam is Communist. It is also a trading partner with the US making some of the cheap stuff you buy at Walmart and other stores.
........On the whole, liberals don't want soldiers to die. They want soldiers to come home.
And pay taxes so the liberal butts can sit on their but. It really is about that "only the soldiers" pay taxes.
Of course you want them to come home. You are running out of "our" money.
You need some more of ours for your stupid ideas. It's obvious you don't think all should pay, just the conservatives. Damn liberals shouldn't have pay, just spend others dollars.
I fail to see how it's obvious. I said nothing about paying, and I pay my share, Bill. I always have.
You believe that liberals think you should pay for our "stupid ideas"? Well, conservatives think that we should pay for your stupid wars. Tell you what. Let's make the federal budget an a la carte menu, and we'll see whether people are more interested in paying for Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid or for Halliburton and other war mongering corporations.
Or wait. Why don't you -- Iran -- just whip up some fear -- North Korea?
Not very subliminal, I know.
I suppose you believe it costs "you" nothing if we keep them overseas fighting pointless wars. Somehow conservatives have the impression that wars are free. Well, they're not. And by the way, liberals are the ones who support veterans' benefits; conservatives mostly don't. So don't tell me about who wants them to come home. For conservatives, it's cheaper if they don't. That's just how you're wired to think.
Don't believe me? Then ask Bobby Jindal about end-of-life care for the elderly poor. He doesn't want to pay for that "stupid idea," either.
Did you actually believe what conservatives were telling you about "death panels"? Well, you were right.
And there they are. Creatures of your own devise. Dead seniors, someone's grandparents, aunts, uncles, brother, sister, cousins, parents, all so that health care executives can get bigger bonuses and turn a tidy profit for their shareholders.
Seriously, Bill. Stop spending MY dollars on THOSE "stupid ideas," and then we'll talk. Not a minute before.
Bill - pure and simple, you're an A**. No one I know sits on their butts - except probably you! We have jobs and pay taxes. Now stop being a moron and repeating everything you hear Rush say. He's a drug addict and and idiot and you sound like him when you make ignorant comments as you have!
jarhead, semper fi....you said it all, no need to explain particularly to the likes of someone who doesn't understand. I was there in 69-70. Welcome home....I hear "welcome home" from a lot of vets when I stop guys with caps that say viet nam vet. Kerry has no soul or shame. A little respect goes a long way.
Thanks Nico. A lot of these folks don't get it on Kerry. It's not about Vietnam or the politicians who sent us to that god forsaken place. It's about the buddies we lost there, and what he called us all when he got back: murderers and baby killers. I expected to hear that from the slime in the San Francisco airport in 1969, but not from a guy who is now the U.S. Secretary of State in 2013. Even Jane Fonda has apologized(somewhat)---he never has. My dead buddies can't speak up--but I sure can. Semper Fi brother.
In the beginning, a lot of us bought into the bs justifications for Viet Nam. It was people like John Kerry who made me take another look. It was My Lai that made me wonder what we were doing to our boys, that they could have been so desperate and so crazy as to do something like that. Jody, I lost mine, too. Going to the wall and seeing his name, and the names of all of those soldiers, most of them not even old enough to vote . . . . you touch that stone and you weep, but you want to scream. You want to scream at all the politicians, and all the munitions manufacturers and all the military contractors that rake in the money while they wave their flags and pretend to be patriots.
I have never questioned the valor and the courage of those who died and those who served. I question the valor and the courage of those who profit from war. Those of us who grew up in the fifties grew up hearing about WWII, a war that actually needed to be fought. We heard about the sacrifices of soldiers and the civilians in this country. And we were proud of our country. It was that pride that made us easy victims of a phony patriotism that was just an exercise in killing, killing our boys and killing thousands of innocent civilians and involving ourselves in a civil war that was being fought by corrupt regimes on both sides.
When you touch that wall, when you see all those names, your heart breaks all over again.
Underemployed--the war was basically over when Kerry came home and protested. When I touch the names on the wall of my buddies, I can't help but remember Kerry calling them murderers and baby killers....and not the heroes they really were. My feelings have nothing to do with Vietnam, and everything to do with Kerry's abandonment of us, his comrades.
He'll probably feel right at home in heels. Or was that loafers?
Kidding aside, good choice and can't wait to see him in action.
Can't wait to see how he fills out a pair of silk stockings to go with the heels.
Loafers are Barry's supporters
"Loafers are Barry's supporters"
Yes- that's what I heard, too.
Guys like Warren Bufett.
I supported Kerry for President in 2004, and I am so happy to see him join the Obama administration as our new Secretary of State. He's a good man.
The positive attitude that Kerry projects is such a contrast with the bitterness of John McCain. Both lost Presidential elections but Kerry hasn't let it make him an angry, bitter man.
Steeler: McCain isn't a bitter man. He's just fed up with all the BS that goes on in Washington.
Believe'nAmerica - McCain is a small, childish, bitter "man" who is responsible for a lot of the BS that goes on in Washington. He is in the thick of it. He perpetuates it. He is nothing but a bitter loser who is past the time he should have been sent packing!
Size 6 red pumps?
Ya gotta remember, they were Hillary's. Size 10 1/2..............mens.
But in red, to make them look womanly.
....maybe Kerry will get to look for the phony medals he threw on the White House lawn.....
nycguy - Kerry had NO phony medals - he earned every medal he received. Just ask the men who served with and still respect him.
....seeking.....you're wrong.....he made a scene of throwing his non medals over the White House fence.....
Pardon the pun but, what difference does it make at this point who we put in? I think he can only be an improvement. The last one was asleep on the job and got people killed. With that act to follow it should be easy to look good.
"The last one was asleep on the job and got people killed."
Sane- Try to follow me here:
The outcome was this- a) we didn't see it coming, b) 4 people died, c) we began the search to find the perps.
Now pick one of the following scenarios Rice could have taken-
1. Protestors did it, but she said Terrorists did it.
2. Terrrorists did it, but she said Protestors did it.
3. Protestors did it, and she said Protestors did it. or lastly,
4. Terrorists did it, and she said Terrroists did it.
Now, read it all agian, and pick one of the scenarios that would have affected the outcomes a,b and c.
This ought to be good- I've been waiting for someone to come along that could do it.
Me? I'm in the Hillary camp: WTF difference does it make now?? I know Hannity's concern is only that the admin MAY have lied to the public, and not the 4 dead. Are you in that Hannity camp, too?
Drive by, it is bad enough that 4 Americans died on Sept. 11, last. But to have certain conservative talk show host politicize if for their gain, however to do nothing but repeat all the lies that were told. Far out things, that just wasn't true in order to "get at" 1) President Obama, 2) Hillary Rodham-Clinton. These people are traitors even if the allegations were true. They Ruined Ms. Rice's service to this country by making her the demon because she told what she knew at the time.
Sane, its people like you that I vote democratic, you are my cause, so wrong and yet won't admit it, won't do any research on your own, but accuse the Sectary of State of wrong doing, when the actual fact you have way too many bones in our closet, that you don't want to let out. For instance the president of the U.S did nothing even though he knew that the terrorist posed a danger. 3000 people, and I don't think it was any mistake.
Johntho - Sane clearly isn't and it shows with every disgusting post he makes. Just ignore him - he's not worth the effort!
Go Hannity, the woman everyone is drooling over, let 4 people die, it was her job, as she herself said, the buck stop's here, I love how the media give's the Democratic socialist party, a break when one of their own screw up, but, thats right, the left leaning media, always gives sugar and pop to Obama and all his socialist friends, go Fox News!
Which scenario do you pick, kflann? 5?
She may be the next President! Wrap yourself in that blanket...Liberals will run this for country for years to come...
kflann: Hannity and Fox reports the news as it is and as it should be. There is no sugar coating, ignoring the facts, lies. or selective journalism like the other media. Certainly Americans are not getting correct and accurate news from the other sources. American people are now one of the least informed groups related to what is happening with the government with the one sided journalism. Nothing bad ever is reported unless it is Republicans.
What did Hillary do to earn all the respect as secretary of state? I hear a lot of praise but did not see any meaningful results. Any educated person could travel the world visiting heads of state without accomplishing anything other than making the bias news reports. All I see her do is travel, attend meetings, and award foreign aid. Sad thing she was able to skate through the Bengazi affair without any negative impact.
Jack Duloouz: If Liberals continue to run this country as they have done in the past 6 years, we can all continue on the road to NO RECOVERY. The rich will get richer and the poor will get poorer. Open your eyes and around.
Tom2 - LOL!!! FACTS from FOX, the station that makes it up as they go along? Please - they don't care for facts and discard them like most of us discard garbage. Then, they report "garbage" for facts.
Tom2 If you actually believe the crap that Faux entertainment puts out, you aren't doing your research. Most of it is provably false. You like listening to it because it justifies your hatred and paranoia, not because it is true.
Believe..Nice twist on the facts.
Too bad it's not true
Maybe "big cankles"???? He may look better in the pant suit.
Kerry should have said, "I have high heels to fill" rather than, "I have big heels to fill".
That's "tall heels", John, "tall heel to fill"! (Just hope your wife doesn't "bust' you up against the side of your mouth this time, John, at least not in public! Why do you get yourself into these things, John?) - RC
So where's the outrage? Didn't Kerry insult Hillary and Condi? At least he didn't say he had big pantsuits to fill.
And for those that think Kerry's service in Vietnam and then back state side was one of valor, think again. I hope he shows more intestinal fortitude in this present position than he did then.
Saron - you're a blithering idiot. Kerry did NOT insult Hillary. And, YOU have no idea about his service. Those who served with him would disagree with your slander of Kerry.
Sharon, do you think the military and specifically the United States of America gives medals just to give them out. No particular reason for doing so we give people medals because we like them or something? Those medals were earned. Try doing what he did to earn those medals and then come back with your BS. Radio talkers who never even came close to military service have no business disrespecting someone who is a national hero along with many other such heroes. Despicable comments from them and you against a true American hero makes one wonder about your patriotism.
Oh, and I don't think he insulted Hillary. If anything he complimented her with his redition of an old adage about filling someone's shoes that was awesome and may be difficult for those who come after.
So, besides being a anti-war protester, is he gay also ??
Bill - "is he gay also?" No dear, that would be you! Exactly how close are you with Lindsey Graham????
Yep, we knew all a long he was a drag-queen!!!
Yessir, first thing I thought of was Rocky Horror Picture Show...
He's good looking in drag. Didn't you see the Doritos commercial yesterday.
Oh was that him? I knew he had been on TV before but I thought it was on the Addams Family...
Wouldn't that be a sight, John Kerry running around (well barly balancing probably) in high heels. Barney Frank. maybe but not John Kerry.
Seriously, Secretary of State John Kerry does follow one dynamic Secretary. She cleaned up most of the mess left by the Bushies but John is going to have to keep it going. I think he'll do well.
Just got an email from EBAY They want people to write their senators because Senator Dick Durbin D-IL is proposing new taxes. He has proposed that states collect taxes from internet purchases. This bill is coming up this year and your input is needed. For many of us who use EAY, this is like taxing our yard sale. Do you see how this Democrat from a broke state can create a new tax obligation for the whole country if he gets his way? These broke , corrupt, and mis-managed states are about to drag the rest of us down. I don't mean this just against the Democrats...This is just wrong for the rest of the states ,just because this guy is looking for more money. Off topic but I thought you should know what EBAY is sending out today. I am no longer allowed to post on Yahoo, Blocked because of posts like this. So if someone can get this out on Yahoo pages, the country needs to know who is sponsoring this.
Don't get your panties in a twist. California and other states already do that. States need to increase revenues and local businesses are often feeling disadvantaged when someone buys something at a lower price that isn't taxed. I buy stuff on Ebay all the time and I really don't see much difference. Of course I don't buy big ticket items on Ebay either.
OEL
Maybe the states wouldn't be broke if people paid more taxes. All you guys want good schools, good roads, good parks, good police and fire protection, but none of you want to pay for it. Then you bitch about freeloaders. Expecting government services without expecting to pay for them is my definition of a freeloader.
Saron - It took a lot of intestinal fortitude for a young John Kerry to stand up to the administration and military during the Viet Nam war. Do you remember how many young men went to war and lost their lives for a lie? The provocation was the so-called incident in the Gulf of Tonkin--IT NEVER HAPPENED. He wasn't a draft dodger; he served his country honorably. Wish him well on his new assignment. He's right in stating that he has "big heels" to fill. Hillary was a tireless performer and did a great job.
She was a performer alright. She should get an academy award.
As for Kerry, he may well fill some high heels.
Wouldn't surprise most Viet Nam vets if he did.
When did Rush Limbaugh serve? Oh that's right he got several deferrments for a boil on his tukas. Then there was Dick Cheney, eager to send kids off to war, also deferred. Then we have Dubya who served in the Texas National Guard and assigned to taxis daddy's pals all over the South as they campaigned, was AWOL and drunk most of the time. Men like Kerry and Hagel put their lives on the line while those draft dodgers relaxed and enjoyed their frat parties.
If Kerry is worried about filling the heels of that lying policical scum bag Clinton then he doesn't have a very high bar at all. She wasted more American Taxpayer fuel and time than any Secretary of State I've seen in 70 some odd years. She was about as dynamic as an outhouse and as full as one too.
...and likely your next President
Let’s hope not!!!
Robo - you are going to be SOOOOOO upset in 2016!!!!! Get used to Madam President!
Kerry is another loser.
Why would Kerry say he has big shoes to fill the middle east is in total unrest. Hilary did absolutly nothing to stop problems in the middle east. Al-Quadia has now made that the new training grounds. The only person to do a job that stunk more than her was Colin Powell he sucked
Better watch closely. Kerry may be serious about filling some high heels.
He's RIGHT! ...Both her and her husband are the biggest "HEELS" I've had the dis-pleasure of been "ruled over" by!
Besides being a liar he's a cross dresser too!
Love this funny comment from Kerry. He does had some big heels to fill - and black pant suits. ;-)
