“Republicans for years have complained bitterly that Senate Democrats last produced a comprehensive budget in 2009 and say that, if Obama and fellow Democrats want to borrow more money, they'll have to outline a spending plan,” AP writes. “Senate Democrats announced Sunday that they will oblige and produce a budget — but warned it will include higher taxes that Republicans oppose.”
Said Senate Democrats’ No. 2 Chuck Schumer: ‘‘We’re going to do a budget this year. And it’s going to have revenues in it. And our Republican colleagues better get used to that fact.’’
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) doesn’t like Obama’s gun push.

And this will surprise who??
Spoken like a true Obamabot.
Are you used to it yet Talk to the Hand? That's alright you have a little time to get used to it.
The GOP are the kings of spending and taxing less -- winning hands down compared to the Dems for years -- so they want spending cuts & no tax increases -- sorry but we have to pay off all those GOP debts & deficits from their years of fiscal failures.
Having It Both Ways Is Now A Thing Of The Past -- Spend More / Tax Less -- Sorry -- But It's Back To The Real World -- Higher & More Taxes For Revenue Are Coming And Spending Cuts Will Follow!
Stimulus My Friends -- Stimulus!

CMCPO....... I for one would like to see the opposite and I doubt that I'm alone. I and many others would be much more receptive to tax increases if I could see a government plan that showed unequivocal proof that the government made substantial spending cuts that have a lasting effect on our economy without damaging the lives of others. Once they are able to prove that they are serious about spending cuts instead of just making excuses to raise our taxes is -- the real world as we've always known it.
Let's see, Obama has already raised taxes twice:
First, Through Obamacare, a 3.8% Medicare tax on those making above $200k single/$250k married has been imposed upon "investment income" (broadly defined), 2). a .9% tax at the same levels of income for "earned income", and 3). elimination of numerous medical deductions for ALL LEVELS of taxpayers. Of course, this does not include the "TAXES" (per Supreme Court) if mandatory health insurance is not purchased !
Second, Obama raised taxes on the wealthy yet again through the "fiscal cliff deal" ... I guess we'll have to read the bill to see what's in it !!
So Dems are not done yet, huh ? My question is WHEN DO THE DEMOCRATS GET SERIOUS ABOUT THE PROPOSED SPENDING CUTS OBAMA PROMISED ???? Was that just asnother campaign lie ???
jim,
There has already been $1.4T in cuts with another $1.2T that must be cut as part of the sequester deal. That accounts for $2.6 Trillion in spending cuts.
Democrats and our President are waiting for the Republicans to define what additional cuts they will would like to make so our President can assess and make a counter offer if necessary.
Typical, give them increased revenue and what do they do?
Scream for more revenue. Of course there is not spending issue in DC only a revenue issue. Joke of a government we have, both sides made this mess.
I have heard for years that the Democrats are all about tax and spend. The Republicans are about borrow and spend. Let's catch up with the recent Republican borrow and spend before we do any more tax and spend. So what I am saying is let's pay for what we have already charged and then, once that is under control we can spend more but only if we can pay for it at the time.
