Goodness… Political Wire: “Nevada assemblyman Steven Brooks (D) is in jail, arrested for threatening Speaker-elect Marilyn Kirkpatrick (D), the Las Vegas Sun reports. "A source said he was arrested with a loaded gun after threatening to shoot Kirkpatrick... Another Democratic source with knowledge of the situation said Brooks publicly threatened to harm Kirkpatrick because he was unhappy with the committee assignments given to him by Kirkpatrick."
“Authorities are investigating death threats against Rep. Markwayne Mullin (R-Okla.), according to an aide to the freshman congressman,” The Hill writes. “Mullin’s chief of staff, Karl Ahlgren, said that Mullin and his family are being protected, the Associated Press reported.”

Unlike the cons most "libbies" don't spin this kind of stuff. We don't claim to be a party of family values or any such holier than thou kind of thing so politicians do what politicians do and we want them admonished for it. Unlike the party of family values who preach one thing and do another. That is hypocrisy.
No...you are the party that "thinks" they know what's best for everyone and then spends your time defending your version of life as if it's the only one that is important...

No we won't. What we will say is that someone who threatens another person with a gun belongs in jail. Period.
This isn't about party, it is about breathtakingly out of control behavior. The person involved should be recalled from office.

What does Gallup have to do with a nutcase in Nevada? Just asking. And no, I will not defend anyone, Republican or Democrat, who makes death threats against another person. This guy is clearly off the rails, regardless of his political party. I know Democrats I don't like and Republicans I do like. But I guess that is a difficult concept for those who attribute characteristics to someone based only on their political affiliation. There are good people in both parties, but the Tea Party is trying to fix that by driving out the good Republicans.

As a liberal democrat, I applaud the arrest of this fool. I hope they have taken his gun for life. People need to learn there are consequences for this sort of behavior - severe consequences. Hope his spends the maximum allowable time in prison.

Well, here's news for you, if their is federal action to remove certain weapons, and you decide to point a gun at a Federal LEO, THAT'S A FELONY and you will lose your right to have ANY weapons.

well, i dont know about where you all live, but here?[Canada] Uttering a threat is a very serious crime,It is usually a form of racketeering[do as I say or I will harm/ kill you] and as such is morally and legally wrong, regardless of political leanings and or connections,..I would have to agree that those in any! uniform, office or public service position who do any such thing?, should get double or triple time so they can serve as an example to others to not! step over that particular line, or real time consequences will! happen,,
