Secretary Napolitano inspires a marvelous confidence.

She is brilliant, and am glad she is out there working every day on our behalf.

Napolitano is a flaming idiot. Anyone who would equate our returning veterans (myself included) to basically being a terrorist can eat a big ole pile of dog scat. Her obfuscation of "fast and furious" should be grounds for termination.

Of the people staying Eric Shinseki should be fired. The lengthy process of getting your permanent disability benefits from the VA is unacceptable. Over one year at this time and a very flimsy stressful process as experienced first hand by my husband. I think SSD needs to take over for them. They can't do their jobs for our Veterans. Men appointees have failed our veterans in this position for years. Time to put a woman in charge.

Hopefully the shake up will shake out the culprit in the Federal gun walking fiasco largely responsible for Walker's murder and the murder of 65,000 poor Mexican people that has, up until now, been skillfully covered up by this administration..

Nominating Janet Napolitano was the worst move President Obama ever made. Not because of any flaw in Napolitano herself, but because it opened the door for the dumbest, craziest, most incompetent Republican governor ever to take office: Jan Brewer of Arizona. The state has been a total mess of right wing extremism ever since.

Amy---if we follow the logic of the Bush administration, the fact that we've had no terrorist attacks during her tenure means she's doing a fabulous job! Seriously, I think it will be important to have her in place as we implement whatever gun control legislation we are able to get out of Congress.

This lefty isn't too impressed with her either. While I think the outrage over Fast and Furious is overblown and owes more to partisan sniping than anything else, I don't think too much of a person who has continued to make policies based on hysterical and irrational fears. Jim - perhaps we should try to post truth instead of pure fabrications. The guns that you make so much noise about was the Feds watching legal purchases by drug dealers. The NRA has demanded that the watching stop. Not the purchases.

The fact that the guns that were being watched were used by the drug cartel in killings just confirms that the DEA was correct. So - ask yourself why the NRA wants the feds to stop monitoring the purchases of guns by the catrtel?

Truth is that the feds did not buy these guns. They did not 'let' the criminals buy the guns. They allowed legal buys to occur, but under surveilance. Now - because of the direction of the republican oversite in the House of Representatives, the DEA is not allowed to surveil gun buys by drug cartel representatives.

But I know - the lies that you spread carry more impact than the truth.

While I think the outrage over Fast and Furious is overblown and owes more to partisan sniping than anything else

The administrration allowed thousands of high caliber guns to walk into a sovereign nation without their knowledge. Hundreds of their citizens were murdered with these weapons as well as 2 of our border agents and all the incompetent idiotic administration can do is say "welllll,duh....we didn't know".

Canadians are no fans of Napolitano ... she is a twit and either a liar or totally misinformed..

April 2009 Napolitano, trying to defend her plans to thicken U.S.-Canadian border security, claimed incorrectly that September 11 attack perpetrators entered the United States from Canada. Her comments provoked an angry response from the Canadian ambassador, media, and public.

In response to criticism, she later said, "Nonetheless, to the extent that terrorists have come into our country or suspected or known terrorists have entered our country across a border, it's been across the Canadian border. There are real issues there". Though there has only been one case, that of Ahmed Ressam an Algerian citizen who was in Canada illegally.

Homeland security has been proven ineffective at stopping attacks in public places and venues.

True safety and security is provided by armed and vigilant citizens. Americans defending against all enemies foreign and domestic.

There has been no border security, nor has there been more inspections at ports. All that has happened is they are collecting information and keeping you safe from a safe distance. I do not nor did I support the Patriot Act or Homeland Security.

P.S. I have never been in favor of a paramilitary force patrolling the United States and I am not in favor of giving up basic rights for security.

When you get to a level of leadership where you are considered for a Cabinet position, you need to have a pro doing your taxes. It has been said the the physician who treats himself has a fool for a patient. I think the same is true for anyone who files anything but a 1040EZ for taxes. Thank you Congress for the tax prep industry.

The main reason we have not had a terrorist attack, is due to the fact the government is destroying America from within our country. The terrorist can't do as an efficient job as Obama is doing turning America into a 3rd world country. Highest Unemployment, Highest Welfare, Highest Food Stamps in American history. No evidence of upgrading the economy and employment. Our allies have lost faith, respect and confidence, in the Obama administration. More military leaks from the White House, our military are having soldiers killed every day and not being reported by the liberal American media. Having to find the truth and facts out from foreign media of our allies and communist countries. Pretty PATHETIC we can't count on the facts and truth from our government. No evidence of a positive turn a round in America!

We wait and wait for our legal green card for my wife that entered the USA LEGALLY a YEAR ago while her stupid USICS twiddle their thumbs patronizing illegals and the Dream Act. Apply for your green card as an illegal under the Dream Act and get a green card in 2 months-for a legal immigrant, ours in particular is going to be OVER 2 years. Come on reporters, this is my REAL name, come interview me and publish my story so the Americans can see how legal immigration thrives while at Napalitano's watch at USCIS legal immigrants are levied with fees, redundant paperwork and wait times that are cruel. This is after we waited over a year just to get her into the country to marry. I am a veteran and I am BEYOND let down as the US Government has forsaken its own people. INTERVIEW ME and bring my story public as I have lost all faith in America over it as surely they should never ever do this to anyone. My own spouse, married to me a legal American cannot even go to Niagara Falls with my spouse, she cannot visit her own country while we wait and wait-all the while while watching illegals work at every local restaurant and gas station her let alone construction and landscaping. Did I mention my wife cannot legally work either until the green card comes too? This place is a disgrace and the USCIS and their leader as absolutely on face, pathetic.

      Signed,

Gary E Meyer, Merchantville, NJ and HIGHLY disappointed and disheartened American.

Mr. Meyer, from a fellow Veteran, may I offer my humblest apologies for the ineptitude of our elected leaders? Yours is a story that resonates in many of our fellow Veterans, especially non-citizen veterans who have fought, and died defending our great Nation. Sadly, my people have been on this continent for 40K years, but are still treated like second class citizens by many here in America. I sincerly hope that your story gets "out there", and you and your family hold firm while waiting to become proper citizens of these United States. I agree that the travesty that you are experiencing is absolutely horrendous, and completely unnecessary seeing as how there are EXISTING LAWS that cover immigration and naturalization. However, our current administration has seen it befitting to provide carte blache resident status for many undocumented, and illegal immigrants, while side-lining those who are actually going through the proper and legal channels to obtain citizenship. Thank you for your service sir, and I hope that it all works out for your and your family.

                Legislate DHS out of business.

Pack 'em up and move 'em out.

That department is the single most intrusive and unlawful method of privacy violation for American citizens that this nation has ever created.

Want to remove the potential for terror? Revoke the Department of Homeland Security Act.

Because of that bill - we incarcerate more of our own than any other nation - bar none.

Concurrently, we have the most successful, most powerful Defense Department in the World, bar none.

                That is sufficient.

Let's return to adhering to Constitutional requisites and keep America what it was meant to be - independent and free.
