"Shooting for Tuesday".........really? Stupid thing to say when you are for gun control!

There needs to be no new laws. The one law that worked as it was intended toward preventing the tragedy in CT was the law requiring background checks. This guy tried to buy a gun three days before the shootings but was denied due to the results of his background check. That law worked other laws did not. Laws against theft, he stole the guns. The law against murder, he shot and killed his mother with her own gun. The law against having a gun within 1,000' of a school, 24 more violations of the law against murder, and one violation of the law against committing suicide. The one gun control law worked as intended. The required background check prevented him from buying a gun, as it should have done. After that he was no longer a law abiding citizen. The moment he stole his mothers guns he became a criminal with no regard for the law. The moment he shot his mother he became a murderer with no regard for life. When he got to that school he was already a criminal with no regard for law or life. Nothing short of a bullet would have stopped him at that point.

One more point, when this story came out it was stated that the assault rifle was found in his car which would seem to indicate that he never took it into the school or used it in those shootings. He did have two semi automatic pistols he did use. The government and media have conveniently omitted the part about the scary looking rifle being found in his car and are using the fact that it was on the scene at all to push forward their gun control agenda. More laws won't stop this kind of thing simply because the people that do these kinds of things don't care about the law because they are not law abiding citizens, they are lawless and irrational.

Eliminating 30 round clips won't stop this kind of thing either since a magazine can be changed in about two seconds. You have the first magazine in the gun to begin with, two seconds to put in the second, two seconds to put in the third and you have fired 30 rounds in only four seconds longer that you would with a 30 round magazine, it won't make one bit of difference because like they say, when seconds count the police are only minutes away.

We all feel helpless when tragedies like this happen but in reality there isn't anything we can do about these kinds of tragedies. They are committed by people who have no regard for law or life and are hell bent on doing as much harm as possible. Ask yourself this, if this guy had drove a car through the kids while they were grouped to get on their buses and killed 20 innocent children and five teachers would we be having this kind of discussion about banning or restricting cars ? Of course we wouldn't !!! This is an attempt by the anti gun crowd to play on people's emotions to try and progress their agenda of attempting to eliminate private gun ownership in the United States. Laws passed in the heat of emotion don't work well no matter how well intentioned. Just ask the Japanese Americans that had their property either confiscated or literally stolen from them who were put in the relocation camps after Pearl Harbor. Calm down, take a breath and think about this for a quiet moment and you will plainly see that reactionary legislation never works.

The NRA has the most respect of any organization in this country. It also has more credibility than General Obama of the Socialist Party and his idiot followers.

It is said that the prisons are full. Bull! There are 24 hours in a day. A criminal only needs to spend 8 hours i the cell. That leaves two eight hour shifts for others. The first criminal to spend 8 hours in the cell can for the next 12 hours working and then 4 hours doing some type of receration like reading, walking or writing. They must never be allowed access to television or radio. Telephone calls to family should be limited to two five minute calls once a year. Believe me, when they were finally released they would not want to come back.

It is time to stop the idiots in government from taking away our rights. Remember, guns do not kill people, people kill people and they will use whatever means available. Look at the corrupt city of Chicago. They had the most ridgid gun laws in the county and have the higest murder rate by guns.
