Pelosi on Hillary Clinton for president in 2016: 'I hope she goes'

Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., shares her thoughts the mass shooting in Newtown and the fiscal cliff negotiations on Capitol Hill.

Hillary Clinton’s possible 2016 bid for the presidency won one high-profile supporter Tuesday in House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.

Pelosi said during an interview with NBC’s Andrea Mitchell that she hoped Clinton – who will retire soon from her job as secretary of state – would make another bid for the presidency in four years.

“Wouldn’t that be exiting?” Pelosi said. “I hope she goes – why wouldn’t she?”

“She could be president of the United States, and she would be great,” added Pelosi, who was speaker of the House and stayed neutral during the 2008 primary between Clinton and Barack Obama. “And if she decided to run, I think she would win. She would go into the White House as well prepared, or better prepared, than almost anybody who has served in that office in a very long time.”

Hillary Clinton has every right to retire. However, I am appalled that "DO NO REHIRE" wasn't stamped on John Kerry's personnel file. What a horrible choice. He's a goofball and his ethical practices came into question the last time he was in office. Obama didn't deserve his job this time around, but it sure speaks volumes about and against the GOP that he was re-elected. Vote Green Party in 2016.

Are you serious Nancy?! Hillary is old, tired, haggard, and doesn't have the stamina to handle the stress and strain of a presidency.

I'm a conservative independent and I would vote for Hillary in a second. I would have voted for her in 2008 if she would have made it. Unfortunately the media wanted Obama instead. That said, the first thing Hillary will hopefully do is distance herself from the likes of Polosi. What a screwball. Who cares what that hag thinks or who she wants to do what. She is an embarrassment to Washington. And that is quite a statement if you think about it. She has made so many dumb statements through her tenure as Speaker and still makes them today. You would hear them all the time on the news and on comedy shows like SNL if she was a conservative. She looks and acts like a cartoon character. What a joke.

I would vote for her in a heartbeat. However, if she's as smart as I think she is, she should steer clear of becoming President. If I were her I would run far and run fast. This country would eat her up and spit her out.

Why in the world would Hillary want to follow Obama - I would think not in this lifetime. She should have been the president in 2009 and would have been if the women of this country had held together and put her there. I just can't believe women feel a man makes a better president than a woman would. Had Romney won in 2012, Hillary would be perfect to knock him out of the ballpark in 2016.

I'm 73 and would like to see a women president before I die. I certainly am tired of the stupid men we keep putting in that office. I voted for the Green Party in 2012 - they fielded women candidates as both president and vice president.

I am so glad that I know this. I was on pins and needles wondering what Pelosi thinks.

Pelosi on Hillary Clinton for president?? Will one is carzy and the other one is nuts, I'll leave it up to you to say who's who! Pelosi should have been out of the senate many years ago. Hillary should never had been in any Government job. She wasn't a great First Lady...Being head of the State dept. has just about done her in, she couldn't take the heat of being CEO of the once geart country...Wishsfull thinking on Pelosi part, put then again pelosi has never been one you could say had a brian to think with, at best. When she was Speaker of the House, she couldn't get the roll call right, they had to get a bigger GAVEL so she could fine it. She needs to be in some kind of old peoples home or a rubber cell....along with Hillary and obama.............

We need another Community Organizer if we want to keep on defeating these GOP crazy fake heroes and Millionares. Their Money and fake heroic status could not defeat the poor good organizer of American Communities. We need Obama 2.0 in 2016

Okay you male chauvanist pigs - let's wait and see who gets elected in 2016. If Hillary runs, she will have the support of women all over the country and remember we now outnumber men. Also, I would like to see either Caroline Kennedy or Nancy Pelosi run the the same ticket as Clinton. And, you do have to admit, Bill Clinton would make a great first lady - lol! Sara Palin - really - maybe if she kept her big mouth closed, she might have a slim chance against Hillary, but I doubt. And a few more words to the male population who are more anti-women than in the 70's, but remember the song by Helen Reddy "I am woman, I am strong, too big to ignore" Go to msn and try to find this song and listen to it with both ears open. And, let your wives and any gils in your family finally have their say - and go into the kitchen yourself and learn to cook. I'll even buy you an apron - lol.

Not too many women like Hillary, sorry. They might want to dig a little deeper. Not to mention, Obama has shown how little respect he gets as President; Hillary in the M.E. is not as important as their camels. Not to mention, by 2016 all of those who voted due to Obama's promises will realize he lied once again and they will be paying more in taxes, might think twice.

I'm a woman, but sorry - I refuse to support the likes of Clinton. Whitewater, Benghazi, and a few other scandals she got caught up in while Bill was president (remember Travel-Gate?) - that old hag does not deserve my respect or my vote. She's proven to be void of any ethics or morals. I'll continue to vote Third party.

Why wouldn't Michelle Obama run? She has as much experience as her husband did before he ran. Hillary might run, and I hope she does, as it will really water down the candidates. She has no chance of winning, especially since goofball Biden wants to run, Gore again, Kerry. I do think the GOP will find a suitable candidate that can't be as easily crushed by the liberal biased media 24/7. They crucified Palin - too stupid; crucified Romney -too rich. I guess a smart homeless person should run.

We all hope the Pelosi goes bye-bye. Any politician that tells people to wait until something like Obamacare is passed to see what it all involves is as incompetent as those idiots that voted for it. Now these same idiots have become a bunch of whiny babies because they are now finding out what Obamacare is all about. Any intelligent person would read a contract before signing it and those that don't are screwed.

As for Clinton--perhaps her stomach virus is because she is so sick that she played a part in her dear friend Ambassador Stevens death or maybe she is using it as an excuse (after all her husband is a big fat liar) to not answer to why she did not provide more security or military help for those 4 Americans that died on 9/11/12 in Benghazi.

She definetely has my vote. As a male democrat, it would be refreshing to have her as President. The GOP/Tea Baggers are pushing M. Oribio from Fla and Jingel from La. Neither one of these clowns can lead themself out of a wet paperbag. Hillary is the most qualified out of either party. In addition, she would carry on Obama's legacy. The GOP/Tea Baggers Party has a problem embracing female and minority voters which would play into Hillary's favor. For sure minority's and of course women will definetely vote for a Clinton. Also, Bill would be a great First Man to keep an eye on the Staff while Hillary is runnning the business of the country.

First of all, she has to finish paying off her 2008 campaign debt, unless she's going to operate under the same deficit spending rules that the Federal Government adheres to. Secondly, if Barbara Walters is going to bring up the "weight problem" with Gov. Christie, then we should be having a serious discussion concerning Clinton's fainting spells.
