Pelosi on Hillary Clinton for president in 2016: 'I hope she goes'

Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., shares her thoughts the mass shooting in Newtown and the fiscal cliff negotiations on Capitol Hill.

Hillary Clinton’s possible 2016 bid for the presidency won one high-profile supporter Tuesday in House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.

Pelosi said during an interview with NBC’s Andrea Mitchell that she hoped Clinton – who will retire soon from her job as secretary of state – would make another bid for the presidency in four years.

“Wouldn’t that be exiting?” Pelosi said. “I hope she goes – why wouldn’t she?”

“She could be president of the United States, and she would be great,” added Pelosi, who was speaker of the House and stayed neutral during the 2008 primary between Clinton and Barack Obama. “And if she decided to run, I think she would win. She would go into the White House as well prepared, or better prepared, than almost anybody who has served in that office in a very long time.”

As an earlier poster said, "Puh-leeese!" No amount of botox and bondo will hide this woman's age as she attempted to do during her run against Bathhouse Barry four years ago. We do not need a woman president just for the sake of having one any more than we need a black president just for the sake of having one, QED over the last four years vis à vis unemployment and economic growth. Yes, he bailed out the unions' pension funds and spent two years ramming an unwanted (except by those who don't work for a living) socialization of medicine plan down our throats. He has the mandate of young uneducated people, 94% of blacks (who said racism isn't alive in the USA?), single women who think their exams and birth control will be free, and, particularly, those who think they deserve a free ride compliments of the American taxpayer.

Hilary, no thanks. We need less government, less spending.

Can you proofread your articles before publishing them or maybe its a Freudian slip to say exiting instead of exciting? What a bunch of hack journalists - no wonder you can't believe anything on this crap of a news site put out by MSNBC - I don't think Hillary really wants that lunatic Pelosi who is out of touch with reality and thinks the rest of the country thinks like the loons in SF - lest not forget Hillary has been Sec of State during all the recent turmoil and loss of respect in the middle east - I'm sure she thinks 4 years people will forget by trust me her connections to Benghazi won't go unoticed - did anyone notice how silent she was during all that crap?

Pelosi needs to spend some of her millions on a new plastic surgeon!

I feel the issue is not about gun control but gun education and safety. It is obvious the the Brady bill was not enough.......

The best thing about Hilary is that politically speaking, she's not her husband. Anyone who follows politics can tell you she's a true moderate and has lots of Republican support, even in Congress. She was close to McCain and especially to former Sen. Chuck Hagel, who is about to become Sec. of Defense.

Reasons Evita won't be elected President!

!.Clinton wear(there is only so much an mind can take of the clintons, anymore)

2.She has never answered some unanswered questions about that land deal in Arkansas in which she was the attorney of record.

3.Juan Peron(Bill) .As much as some like him, there are an equal amont of people who don't.People,of both parties, are not sure they want the Clintons back in power,as seen by the 2008 primary runoffs.

4.She lied about Libya and is now hiding behind lies to prevent her from testifying.Someone has told her to hold off until ofter the cornonation before testifying.

5.She uglier than Lincoln and is about the same age as Lincoln is today.

6.Is is too slick! Not one trust a snake!

7.Her handling of the S.S. job was unremarkable except for the Libyian murders which she lied about and ran from.

        8.Bill.People have Clinton Fatigue!

9.The play about her life,Evita,is about to close.

10.She should move to another country if she wants to be President. She has been rejected by the dimocrap once already.

        11 thru 36.Clinton fatigue.

          #115.1 - Tue Dec 18, 2012 6:42 PM EST

She had the lead when Obama got into the race and was dead in the water in 6 weeks. An upstart beat her.He was a better lier(by a nose) than she was.Half the dimocraps don't want to see the clintons in office again. They still have a bad taste in the mouth(so to speak, not a Monica reference) about having the Clintons around.Clinton fatigue. By the way ,she spells her name with two l's. Hilary, the first person to reach the peak of Mt.Everest, spelled it with one "L".Remember she was named after him! Unfortuntely for Evita(Hillary),Sir Edmund Hilary didn't climb Mt.Everest until Hillary was 14.Just another lie by the Clintons.

mas098 -- your hate precedes you. hilary will beat any repuke loser they run against her. all you have to look at is the kind of losers the repuke party has to offer. bobby dingleberry, palin, bachman, romney, trump, huckleberry. need i list more? you can't come up with much that the middle class relates to.

Hillary would make a great president she has years of experience and knows how to handle herself with the various parties and she could get the parties to agree on bills etc. Michelle and Sara don't have a chance between them they have a brain of a flea.

As much as I would have liked to see Hilary as prez, by the time we are 25 trillion in debt, no democrat has a chance of winning the WH in 2016.

Besides, my guess is she won't run, let's not forget she got the popular vote for the Dem nomination and the delegates gave it to obama.

Pelosi, who is so far left, she makes Chavez and Castro look like republicans,is excited about Evita running for president. There a reason to never vote dimocrap again.Evita and Juaan(Bill) have too much lugguage for another run.Ever read anything about the Prons of Argentina?Do and you will find very similar story to that of Bill and Hillary. Both ran for president.Evita won once and lost once.JUan once, lost and reelected again.Like the Clintons, they would never leav the stage. They will not be happy until someone finds them dead in the Ovqal office from old age.I bet when they do die, they will have 6 months of taped messages for the world to listen to,after they have gone!.Clinton fatigue!

Thanks realist! I could not remember the name of that big land deal in which Evita was the attorney of record andlost the paperwork showing her signatures and payouts to the various parties involved. It turned out to be a giant scheme to funnel money to Bill while he was governor of Arkansas.Interesting is after a number of years of denying knowwing the where abouts of the paperwork,it turned up on Evita' credenza in her office which had very limited access to by anyone but her.She still until today, just doesn't know how those folders(about 4' of them) got on the furniture.Just like her convenient falling and knocking her head on the ground.I think she was muff diving when she hit her head and it wasn't on the floor.Maybe a hip bone at worst.Evita and Bill are such liers!

                      Democratic presidential candidate-elect

                      Barack Obama

The 2008 Democratic presidential primaries were the process by which the Democratic Party chose its nominee for President of the United States in the 2008 U.S. presidential election. Senator Barack Obama of Illinois won and became the party's nominee. However, due to a close race between Obama and Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, the contest remained competitive for longer than expected, and neither candidate received enough delegates from state primary races and caucuses to achieve a majority without so-called superdelegate votes.

The presidential primaries actually consisted of both primary elections and caucuses, depending upon what the individual state chose. The goal of the process was to elect the majority of the 4,233 delegates to the 2008 Democratic National Convention, which was held from Monday, August 25, through Thursday, August 28, 2008, in Denver, Colorado. To secure the nomination, a candidate needed to receive at least 2,117 votes at the convention—or a simple majority of the 4,233 delegate votes. This total included half-votes from American Samoa, Guam, the United States Virgin Islands, and Democrats Abroad, as well as "superdelegates", party leaders and elected officials who were not chosen through a primary or caucus. The race was further complicated by a controversy over the scheduling of the Michigan and Florida state primaries, which had been scheduled earlier than party rules permitted, affecting the number of delegates that those states sent to the national convention.

Although Obama led Clinton in delegates won through state contests, Clinton claimed that she had the popular vote lead as she had more actual votes from the state contests.[2] However, this calculation could not include many states that had held caucuses, which Obama had dominated, and it did include Michigan and Florida, which neither

Not to mention, arabs dont talk to women. it was not a joke sending her to the arab nations, it was a slap, and they dont forget.

Personnally i think the best chance for the democratic party will be a gay, socialist, illegal alien. I mean seriously they have nominated everyone else.

What we need is a third party with a middle of the road actual leader. No more far left, far right idiots. If you have not looked nothing is getting done. unemployment solved? national debt less? Govt spending within its means? Add in mental health for the mentally ill, new subject. Illegal immigration other than handing out free green cards? Do we have 6 year retirement plans? the best medical on the planet free? A police force that covers up our dwi's rapes and other offenses? Who does? Those idiots in washington, except we gotta tighten our belts and ride out the storm. I would love to ride out the storm on $174,000 minimum a year. Hows your reduced hours/paycheck working out for you? Oh, yeah, FORWARD into the depression.
