Isn't it obvious that Republicans are the underdogs in this fight? The POTUS doesn't have to cater to their whims anymore.

Please don't tell us that a majority of Americans want Obama to cave. Whatever the Wall Street Journal poll shows, we middle class voters are not willing to give up Social Security and Medicare so that Romney and his cronies can pay 1% tax. That's ridiculous. Obama has already compromised...now let's see if Boehner can swallow his medicine.

The RepubliCONs are not blinking? As you know, not blinking can hurt your eyes. Did their doctor tell them that?

Even more harmful is the fact that the uncompromising GOP has turned the government into a Political Weapons of Mass Destruction, which will make George Bush to turn in his political grave.

On NPR they had an ex-negotiator from GM. He pointed out that both sides will have to concede on something. If they come to an early agreement their supporters demand to know why didn't they continue to negotiate before giving up.

The result is that there will be no agreement until close to the deadline. It's simply the nature of negotiations when both sides have to give something up.

So lets all go home for Christmas and the media can stop trying to sell this as a play-by-play.

Watch Al Jazeera, it at least has 23.5 hours of other news. It is quite shocking to see that other stuff of import is happening around the world. What, there is a Southern Hemisphere?

We realize there are some conservatives still hiding in caves and basements. It's safe to come out now! All those things they told you about Obama were lies, only meant to frighten you. The election is over, Obama won. We are on the path FORWARD!

The president has anything but a common sense approach. Business people understand budgets, we make them up every year and review them every month. Obama is a lawyer, he doesn't understand business and budgets.

Businesses have to do budgets every year. They have to live within their means on go out of business. You can raise prices on products, but eventually you price yourself out of the market and you lose business to your competitors. You can cut costs, but that also only goes so far. A business has to have a balanced approach and raise prices as well as cut spending in difficult times. Our federal government has to figure that out as well. You can't keep raising taxes and not address the spending that is out of control in Washington. Even if we go back to the Clinton Era tax rates, we will go back to the Clinton Era budget and therein lies the problem.

And yes, we will be happy when everyone pays their fair share. Who wouldn't be, other than a selfish right-winger?

Now for the $B's that he wants from the top 2%, how long will that money fund his spending? After the first of the year, the middle class will be paying more for the services he wants to provide. When that 2% money is spent, where will he go next to create more Obama investment?
