UPDATED Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012 at 11:45 am ET: President Obama ranks ninth among candidates for president in electoral-vote averages since 1896, according to a First Read analysis.
Mitt Romney's 203 EVs puts him 22nd of the 44 candidates who have gotten at least one electoral vote in that 116-year history.
First Read averaged the electoral-vote score of each of the runs for president for each candidate (who got at least one electoral vote).
Ronald Reagan takes the top spot with his average EV score of 507, followed by Lyndon B. Johnson's 486 in 1964 following the assassination of John F. Kennedy.
Franklin Delano Roosevelt is third with his average of 469 across four successful presidential runs. Dwight Eisenhower follows with an average 449.5 across his two campaigns in the 1950s.
Bill Clinton, who comes in at No. 7, edges Obama 374.5 to 348.5.
George W. Bush is 15th with his 278.5, two spots behind his father's average of 297.
Al Gore's 266 lands him at 16; John Kerry's 251 puts him at 19.
John McCain's 173 EVs in 2008 put him at No. 24, tied with Jimmy Carter's average between 1976 and 1980.
Note: Prior to the 1908 election, Alaska, Arizona, Hawaii, New Mexico, and Washington, DC, did not yet count. Oklahoma was first counted in in 1908. In 1912, Arizona and New Mexico were added. Hawaii and Alaska began being counted in 1960. DC came into play for the first time in 1964. In addition, California began getting at least 40 electoral votes in 1964. In the early part of the 1900s, up until the 1930s, California was below 20 EVs. States like New York have been on a steady decline in electoral votes, while states like Florida and Texas have seen a steady increase.

Bill O' Reilly (fair and balanced rightwinger) claimed last night on Fox that Obama won people making under $30,000 by 28 pts. Which must have meant 5-10 points in the election overall, nationally.
The bribes work, that's why Dems do it. That's why the number of people on handouts kept rising during Obama's first term even as the economy was supposed to be improving. He was buying votes for election time.
Obama lost the people who pay for everything (those making over $50,000), by 7 pts according to CNN.
He ran up the score with the people who pay nothing and expect freebies. As the Dems have trained them to do.

There's no specific contract. It's called they market to you how easy it is to get handouts--the Obama administration actually ran commercials with women talking about how everyone should get on food stamps because it covers all their nutritional needs, they ran around the country signing people up for free Obamaphones, so the size of that program doubled in 4 years.
They tried to get as many people on handouts as possible.
And who are the people that the Dems gave free stuff to going to vote for at election time? Especially with the Dems claiming mythical hard times ahead for government spending under Romney?
Why Dems of course. By 28 pts.
They don't need a contract. They give you free stuff and you vote for them to continue giving you free stuff. And that's why the bottom votes overwhelmingly for The Handout Party.
And the Proof it was a strategy by the Obama team was that the number on handouts kept rising as the economy was allegedly improving. If the economy was improving in 2011 and 2012, the number of people on handouts should have been slowly dropping, not rising as it was. The goal was not to help the needy, but to get people dependent on Democrats and the government.

One problem I have with this article. The table at the end of it is titled "Presidents' Electoral Votes by Average" or something like that.
Willard Romney's name is on that list and he's not a President. Just thought I'd point that out.

It would be interesting to see a list of correlations/graphs on the vote, a quick look at the map of the country on this Politics page with the percent of votes in each state by putting your mouse arrow on each state makes me think the lowest percents for Obama were the states with least non-whites in it. Also the states with the highest losing Obama vote percents like NC and GA look to be ones with what I have seen the best/highest concentration of university/research centers (you know, signs of civilization) in the red states.

If you look at the county map, red dominates in all rural areas throughout the entire country. The big city folk need their handouts to survive. The USA is in Economic Recession. Even the Europe is in Economic Recession. Catholics, Protestants are equally harassed. for the eg. the Riots in Kandhamal in Orissa state against Christians, the harassing of Christians in Dangs in Gujarat and other parts all over India. Recently the Tamilian Hindus showed their colours against the Christians. The Tamilian Hindus played a double game. On one side they harassed and attacked the Sri Lankan Christian pilgrims who had come on a pilgrimage to Vailankanni Shrine and on the other hand they packed them into buses and sent them back to Sri Lanka thus not giving them a chance to pray. Presidential candidates maybe? I see the listing underneath Presdents also include Kerry and Dole. The current state of journalism has fallen so far as to list runnerups as Presidents. Is NBC giving out a box of a Crayolas to anyone that can write an article these days, factual or not?
