This is a very close election, and unfortunately divided government didn't work very well the last two years. We're gonna have to make sure it works in the next two years.”
(Actually, Republicans suffered losses at all levels last week – Democrats picked up not just two Senate seats, but also expect to net seven seats in the House, Ryan’s chamber.)

Rick Perry won’t be joining the roughly 77,000 people who have signed a petition calling on the White House to allow his state to secede from the Union,” the New York Daily News writes. “Perry has famously joked in the past about his state breaking away from the United States of America, but his spokesperson said he doesn’t approve of the Internet campaign that has swelled to include secession petitions for more than 35 states.”

Don't forget to give thanks for your new, increased Federal Income Tax next year, and for higher utility rates and more money out of pocket for the gasoline you need to get to work. It all is coming in three years--if you kick out the only people who have kept America from receiving these new gifts from an Administration that cares nothing for the middle class.

is now beginning to become clear to me why the Republicans deliberately threw the last two Presidential Elections. It's obvious that they didn't want to deal with the results of an eight year Pres. Bush administration,the increasing military and economic problems in the world and societal problems at home in the U.S. Why else would they have allowed a proven non-native-born Kenyan Muslim socialist (see evidence by D.Trump, Sheriff Arpaio) to run for and become President?
That's the only explaination that I can think of.........
The problem is that many Republicans who live in blue states feel like their vote does not count, so they don't vote. Others who are fed up with both parties and who never have a third party win, and also feel like their vote does not count for anything, are among those who have ceased to vote. The cessation of voting for a lot of voters is the reason for two wins in a row. In close elections that is the way it is.
Well, there is that, dead people voting Democrat, and a number of registered Republicans and Independents who found themselves suddenly unregistered voters on Election Day.
The Republicans did such an effective job of scaring everyone into believing that a 2nd Obama term was tantamount to Apocalypse that all the people that actually bought it are now putting on their Ascension robes and looking for the nearest mountaintop. Or so it would seem. Truth be told, white conservatives cannot stand the idea that an African American holds the Oval office. Fear isn't possessing them, good old fashioned American racism is and that is why the Republicans lost the election and will continue to lose until they come to grips with the fact that America is on a permanent trend of turning colors.
Wait till you see all the new taxes America is about to get. Ready for your electric bills to skyrocket? Obama himself stated that would happen when he implements his energy plan. Ready for $6/gallon gasoline or higher? It's coming if the Democrats get their way.
That is no apocalypse but it certainly is a major hike in the cost of living. It will be worse if they just start printing money. You were warned...

Obama told us that his energy plan will cause utility bills to skyrocket. Almost nobody listened when he said it. Half of America reelected the man, including the middle class and the poor that he is about to piss on.
What will the poor and the middle class do when he and a Democrat-controlled Congress cause utility rates to skyrocket? How about when the Democrats tried to raise the price of gas on America? Seems nobody noticed.
Believe the propaganda of the Democrats, and give America another Democrat-controlled Congress, and they will make good on what they already attempted and the Republicans in the House blocked. Ready for gasoline prices exceeding $6 a gallon? It is coming. And, it will result in the prices of everything else going up, including food prices and other everyday necessities. This all will also result in the shedding of jobs along with Obamacare, which is now here to stay.
Way to go! Thanks for nothing, left-wingers and apathetic voters, and voters to failed to vote, who reelected Democrats to wreak destruction on the America way of life and economy. Well, at least you'll still have Bush to blame. :-)
Lets get something straight here. Texas is not going anywhere! And moronic Teabaggians that are trying to make matters even better for us are only making it worse for the Republican electorial count.as What a bunch a babies. They did not win so they want to go into their own room and play. Just like Iran wants to do. The Govenor was right now to sign on with the idiots. He is saving his job.
No one in the middle and poorer classes have won. If Obama has his way and the public give him another Democrat-controlled Congress, count on the cost of living skyrocketing in the next three years or so. Obama himself said that his energy plan will cause electricity rates to skyrocket. The Senate already tried to pass legislation in 2011 that Obama wanted them to pass, which legislation would have raised the price of gasoline to over $6/gallon next year--had it passed, that is.
It's important to watch what the Republicans do. Will they heed that going to extreme is a loser or get someone even more extreme yet a "sweet" image. The rhetoric will be interesting. Ryan lost because he was extreme. They may hone him and make him appear middle. Ryan is I'm right and your wrong mentality will not help. There are great minds out there Ryan and your not one with this Ann Ryan philosophy. She was wrong and still is. But, the rhetoric over the next year will be important to listen too.
It is far more important to watch what the Democrats do. They are trying to create a two-class system of abject poor ruled over by Democrat aristocracy. Go read the legislation they tried to pass in 2011. They tried to raise the price of gasoline to over $6/gallon by eliminating oil credits and subsidies, and hid that garbage inside what they told the public was jobs legislation that was designed by Obama with the assistance of Harry Reid, who introduced the legislation.
That was pretty sneaky. Good thing that the Republicans in the House didn't fall for it!

Ron Paul would have been a lame-duck President. Everybody who knows anything about the man and does the requisite research knows this. Know something else interesting? People are complaining about Republicans blocking things and voting 'no' on lots of stuff Democrats are trying to pass. A lot of people actually are pissed off about that. Herein is what is funniest of all. Ron Paul is affectionately known in Congress as "Dr. No" for a reason. Look up his voting record.
People in Congress already don't agree with him on many issues and he does not work with them well. If he were President he would do more of the same as he has long done and he also would fail to work with Congress. That is why he would have been a lame-duck president. Nothing would have gotten done.
I do agree with your stance to piss on all of them, though. I would like to see BOTH parties flushed out of Congress for the next few decades and replaced with viable Independents, but, with America's party loyalty I do not see that happening for a very long time, if ever. As it has been said, "People who don't know their history are doomed to repeat it."
Mitts in the pits where he belongs. The best thing for the country is to look back on this time in our country as a poop stain on a short page in our history book. The whole Republician thing just smelled, well it still actually smells but at least we've got our hands on the flush handle.
The tea party would do well to consider moving to russia. They are used to a "one party" system. Carl Rove can manage the trip for you. Seems rather they do not understand that only one party at a time can be in office and there is another party besides the republican party. Michele Bachman said there was a bunch of communists in government. She just didn't realize it was her and her republican party.
The two parties need to set aside this divisional drama and get this country back into working order, do what you are paid to do.

PLEASE, lets get back to the issues at hand, and get the job (you were voted in to do) completed. Stop this incessant petty diversion, it is hampering the survival of our country. What is more important-a division between the democrats and republicans or the survival of our nation.
