Pelosi suggests she'll announce future intentions on Weds.

House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) suggested she would make her future plans known on Wednesday morning on Capitol Hill.

Pelosi, the first woman to ever serve as speaker of the House, answered a question about her intention to remain as House minority leader by inviting reporters to gather for a press conference tomorrow morning.

"I'll see you right here, 10 o'clock, tomorrow morning," she said. That would allow her to first confer with fellow Democrats.

The 72-year-old California Democrat served as speaker for two full terms, but remained as Democrats' leader in the House following Republicans' takeover of the chamber during the 2010 midterm elections.

Pelosi had scheduled leadership elections for a date slightly later than usual, prompting speculation that she might relinquish her role as the top Democrat in the House -- a position she has held for a decade. Wednesday marks the 10 year anniversary of her ascension to that position.

Her tenure was most memorably defined by her tenure as speaker during the first two years of President Barack Obama's first term, during which time Pelosi helped shepherd Obama's landmark health care reform law to passage.

Pelosi's departure could set off a tough battle between House Democrats to replace her. Among the candidates could be her No. 2, Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-Md.), Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.) or Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) -- among others.

Iam certain that the Mother of Modern America Marxism is not going to concede any power. There is a chance Democracy might be restored if she relinquishes her domination right now.

Scarey part of it is, Hilary is making noises like she is stepping down as Secretary of State. Do you think, Numb Nancy might be making herself available for Hilary's job?

If she becomes SecState, "Here Come the Black Helicopters," might become a reality. (re: Morris and McGann.

My pick for #2 would be Debbie Wasserman Schultz; she'd be perfect for the Democrats. She criticized Mitt Romney for having off-shore accounts until it was exposed she and her husband did also. Nothing like a little hypocrisy to elevate you in the Democrat Party.

For one thing, the amounts of money in the accounts are of staggeringly different size. Wasserman Schultz’s 401(k) fund had less than $15,000 and was investments that were not done by them it lasted eight days. Look at your retirement you will see that they invest for you and you dont know where they will invest. One package could have forty companys in it. Romney had up to $3 million for seven years in a Swiss bank account that he put there himself.

She led the house during its most divisive period, she was responsible for the passage of the most diivisive piece of legislation since prohibition and because of that, because of her actions the DNC suffered the most humiliating defeat of any party of the 20th century. That is her legacy. Goodbye.

As a conservative Democrat, Nancy Pelosi "leading" the party is exactly what I DO NOT WANT to see. A moderate Democrat needs to lead the minority party to move the country forward. Republicans have some good ideas that should be heard, Pelosi is not the person to do that.

She is going to announce special legislation that will grant all present and past members of congress to free-anything-they-want at taxpayer expense. That will include free private jet expenses and plastic surgery. pelosi was quited as saying "let the taxpayers eat cake, if there is any left after the hogs get done at the trough".

Good riddance. As a member of the House, let alone its speaker, it is criminal (in my opinion - not in actuality) tovote on legislation that they have not read. To do this on the single largest piece of legislation in recent history, and then joke about by saying that we'll learn what's in it after we pass it, is unfathomable.

More "you'll have to pass it to see whats in it"? Hope not .. but with so many of you supporting her and the dem agenda without careful scrutiny, I suspect all of America will have to brace for more of the same tactics. For nancy to "make her future plans known" means to be vague and misleading. America will truly have to just wait and see with this current batch of dem liberals running things.

I suspect amnesty for "illegal" immigrants to be labeled as "reform", and tax hikes for the qoute "rich", to be at the top of the list however. We'll likely have to rely on investigative reporting to reveal the details. There is no transparency as promised by obama. In fact it appears to be the opposite.
