VIDEO: First Read Minute: Approaching the 'cliff'

Now that the election is over, attention turns to the fiscal cliff negotiations between President Obama and Congressional Republicans including House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH).  NBC's Mark Murray questions whether either side learned lessons from the 2011 fight over raising the debt ceiling.

FoxTrotsky you are really ugly in your picture too. Geez..........you know a shower now and then would do you good. Why are you frowning in your picture of an African Zulu dancer? You should be happy Foxtrot! Your guy won! (EVEN though he stole the election with rampant voter fraud)

Come on foxdung, give us a smile! :)

"Hope and Change" remember? Or...........have you already......forgotten!? LMFAO................

On Janruary 20, 2009 the "Fourteen GOP Felon's" met at the Caucus Steakhouse Restaurant in Washington D.C to drive the US Economy off the cliff. Read the book by Robert Draper called. "Do Not Ask What Good We Do." They demand that justice be done America. Why are the GOP/ Tea Beggers still in their "House Of Hoodlum's?"

Jeff the three oclock phone call was answered even as you say it wasn't. When we go into foreign lands we do so at our own peril even as we are hurt and heartbroken by the deaths of these four hero's. We would never allow foreign soldiers to come into our country to protect their embassies that are in the USA and yet we want to demand that we be allowed to have a batalion of soldiers to stand guard. Don't believe for one minute that I don't want an investigation but I want one free of the right wings bloated lies of what did or did not happen. The Rush Limbaugh drug induced imagination is in overdrive. Just as I wanted the truth about the WMD during Bush's year which we never got I am willing to be as patient with Obama as we are being with the two wars where thousands of soldiers just as important as Chris gave up their lives also. Are you screaming about the loss of these young people who went to war without the protection they should have been awarded leaving wives, children, parents behind to mourn them. This is what the problem is, you sift and sift hoping for a sliver to go after Obama with. Sorry you need to go away and let the real people who are trained to figure out what happened do their work. Stop knee jerking making yourself sick with disgust with your over active imagination. Obama is in for 4 more and that my friend is final. He won both the electoral and the popular even if you want to pretend he didn't. 44 is in for 4 and he isn't your worst nightmare you are your own.

Obama better get everything he wants in revenue out of the January compromise after we go over the cliff (because the GOP House will make us go over the cliff). In giving the tax cut back to the 98%, he should consider adding a gasoline tax (because the current rates don't maintain the federal highways and the bridges) and perhaps a small excise tax on alcohol of all varieties. We need more than one trillion in revenue over the next ten years. We are more in the hole than that. And we can't cut everything. And he better not give the Pentagon everything it wants, or we'll never get close to filling the hole. He should propose legislation to help facilitate the new marijuana laws in Colorado and Washington, and in the process tax the hell out of our new legal vice. I'm all for legalized marijuana, but it should be heavily taxed. Regulating its sale will cost money, but more than that the federal government and the state governments should use it to boost revenue in general.

What we need is a tax on porno which would show how much revenue could be raised in the red states where it has been proven that the most porno is sold in those very red states. Wonder why and can anyone tell me why there is no tax on porno? Oh conservatives don't consider watching smut a sin. They only denounce the birth control that is needed after they watch the antics of actors who make them think they can do all that swinging from the ceiling all night long. LOL. We could make so much money in such a short amount of time to help stop the fiscal calamity. if we could only convince everyone that tax would be good for America we could enact it right away..
