Even before voters finished casting ballots in House races across the country, the Republican leadership in the chamber began girding for a major battle over taxes and spending in the weeks after the election.
Confident that Republicans would retain their majority in the House, Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, told POLITICO that GOP lawmakers would reject any new taxes on households in the highest income tax bracket.
"We’re not raising taxes on small-business people," Boehner said. "Our majority is going to get re-elected ... We’ll have as much of a mandate as he will — if that happens — to not raise taxes."

Al Behrman / AP
Speaker John Boehner talks with reporters outside Ronald Reagan Lodge after voting, Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, in West Chester, Ohio.
Consider Boehner's comments the first public salvo in a coming battle over how to best address the so-called "fiscal cliff," the mixture of automatic tax hikes and spending cuts set to take effect at the beginning of 2013.
Recommended: First Thoughts: Decision Day
The fiscal cliff involves the expiration of the 2001 Bush tax cuts for all tax brackets and a two-year payroll tax cut, both of which are scheduled to sunset at the end of this year, barring action by Congress. Also set to take effect are the automatic spending cuts set forth in the 2011 debt ceiling deal, which were designed to be so distasteful that lawmakers would reach a compromise on how to best address mounting U.S. debt.
A standoff between the Obama administration, a Democratic Senate and a conservative Republican House of Representatives yielded no deal, leaving the fiscal cliff in its stead. Economists have warned that, if nothing happens to change those deadlines, any economic recovery would be imperiled. Moreover, the cuts fall heavily upon the defense budget, a cut which military leaders have warned could endanger American security.
GOP vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan votes at the Hedberg Public Library in Janesville, Wisconsin.
This gridlock might dissipate if voters elect Romney as president on Tuesday. But if Obama wins a second term and the Senate stays in Democratic hands, the stalemate that helped produce so much disillusionment and nastiness this election could rear its head again in the coming weeks.
"You have to do something, and the best way to do it is by growing the economy," California Rep. Kevin McCarthy, the Republicans' whip in the House, said Tuesday on MSNBC. "Now, we are going to have a fiscal cliff between now and the end of the year -- from the debt limit to the looming tax increases to sequestration. But all those ideas have been passed by the House to solve those. It's the Senate that has not acted."
That rhetoric might sound familiar to any reader who has tracked the incessant bickering between the Obama administration and Congress over the past two years.
But amid the bluster that has begun to emerge from Capitol Hill, President Barack Obama's team seemed more upbeat.
Before the president made his way home to Chicago, he made one final campaign stop where his journey to the Oval Office began – in Iowa. Obama Senior Adviser Robert Gibbs discusses.
"This election, when the president's re-elected, should break this fever of Washington gridlock," Obama adviser Robert Gibbs, the former White House press secretary, said on MSNBC. "It's time that Republicans come to the table and understand that we've got to get something done on the big pressing issues of our time."

These dudes are despicable...
Sounds like Boehner has folded as to the Presidential race.
Straight from the Puddy Tat's mouth...
Or was that Tweety ?
Or Mitt ?
Okay we need a strong person to run against Boehner next time - or someone to just slap him silly! He's disgusting!
Obama/Biden 2012

No more pork for Red States, then. Problem solved.
Boner, keep it up and you're next! Time to look to defeat him.
Boner and you teaparty = American Taliban if you dont do what is needed for this country your A$$es will be fired in 2014. WE ARE TIRED OF THE RICH NOT PAYING THERE SHARE. and making the Middle Class pay for the wealthy. ENOUGH ALLREADY You Silly Drunk SOB
So the uncompromising, obstructionist ways of the republicon party begins again without it ever ending.
Keep it up! That and your 9 (nine!) percent approval rating.
They'll be another republicon congressional blood-letting in 2014, just like 2008.
I'm 100% proud of Boehner...
Show some respect people, what are you??? like 12 yrs old? Boner?? some people have zero class, and don't even realize it...
anti-americans...
If Boner and the baggers continue to refuse to do their jobs, they need to be removed from office, and we can't wait until 2014. Now.
Amy, now now ... Red States cook pork really well. Yummm, what I would do for a pulled pork sandwich right now.
sirie - I think Boehner is the anti-American annd has proved it over and over again during the past 4 years. It's time to show him the door!
Obama/Biden 2012
No matter what Boehner says, nor what Reid says, not even what President Obama says matters......ALL three entities will have to give some ground. The problem with the mandated cuts to spending is they do not address our debt. The only thing they address is the RATE of deficit. Even with the mandated cuts we will still amass an additional $10 TRILLION more in debt. This is unacceptable. Members of BOTH parties are responsible for it. Unfortunately none of them seem willing to make the hard decisions required to get this mess under control.
-------------------------------------
sirie
I'm 100% proud of Boehner@sirie, and there were still 20% who supported bushie jr when he left office. What was that old saying-----you can fool some of the people some of the time but you can fool rethugli-cons all of the time.
If Nancy Pelosi cried in public one quarter of the times as Boehner does, she's be laughed out of office by the republicons.
But since he has an (R) after his name....
I'm 100% proud of Boehner
.
Boehner is our last line of defense against bad policies. Let's say for a moment that Obama does win...
Better get that HoR majority back, or it REALLY will be more of the same ol, same ol...
@ imwhitewolf - you my friend speak the truth. i'm guessing that most won't understand it in this room!!
According to Grover Norquist, Romney is just a guy with a pen. Not a leader, just a guy with a pen. You Republicans should be so proud of your PUPPET!
Exactly, a party that would rather see Obama fail then let america prosper. Voted down or blocked every jobs bill even one that was for GW veterans. The party that always says they are for the military; except sending them to war based on lies, not taking care of them when they get home and then making them and their children pay for the whole debacle.
Sirie - how about showing some respect for the American people and the choice they make at the polls? Voting isn't even done yet and they're already setting up for obstructionism in the 2nd term.
Boehner says they will not raise taxes on small businesses. WTF! Obama has lowered taxes on small businesses something like 18 times! When Boehner says "small businesses" that is code for large corporate vulchers.
I think the writing is on the "Norquist wall" once again. Screw what is best for the country. The Republican party always puts party before country. That is a fact.
The moment of truth is nigh............our massive $16.25 trillion in debt and nearly 8% unemployment will be vindicated this day.......and the "message" will be once again be delivered by the American Voter as it was just two short years ago on 11/2/10!
Send the gaggle of obstructionist Republicans
packing. Make them go work for a living!
Well I certainly agree with B/W Cat that it sounds like Boehner believes the President will be re-elected.
But what a thing to say. I'll tell you what Mr. Weeper, I hope you dig in your little heels and hold your breath until you turn blue before you'll vote for taxes on the rich or anybody else.
Because you will be continuing the gridlock patterns of the previous four years and the American people will not stand for it. You will kill any chance the GOP has of being relevant in the 21st century. Buh-bye. The party's over.
Obama/Biden 2012 and FOREVER!
Pedestrian-in-SF
What they are saying is, that, if there are tax hikes attached to any bills, they will vote them down.
That may be drawing the line a bit to harsh, however this is politics. Play along, play your hand well, or get out of the game
A surprising thought - what if the Republicans ARE doing their jobs? They are being re-elected today. And, their election gives them the continued majority of the House. There must be a reason for this. You bloggers here at NBC can call the electorate in these districts stupid - but the fact is, these districts are voting for the block in more taxes and challenges to business. And this is the majority. I run a small business and everything that has come out of Washington these past four years hurt my business and cut the number of employees I have. It sounds nice to say that there were new rules that help small business - is 100% incorrect. Talk about mis-labeling!
The label "party of NO" is what they do - they are opposed to reducing the spending abilities of the American citizen. Reducing by blocking of the raise in taxes. Reducing by blocking the crippling of business expansion.
I know this is not in line with the small group of posters at this site, but is is the fact.
Republicans - PLEASE stand firm and do not allow more money to go to the big grey blob in DC! And stop further taxes and limitations on the one entity that moves each of our financial well being forward - small businesses.
ATTENTION EVERYONE!
Since sirie is obviously in love with Bohner since he keeps pointing same thing out on multiple vines, please start using "Orange Man" instead of Boner. See, sirie is ok with all those who use Obummer, Obambo, Odumbo, etc. when referring to POTUS - he never corrects them but 'Boner' is offensive to him.
Sounds like someone forgot all those fiscal cliff defense budget cuts that will cause a lot of job losses in GOP districts all across America. Boehner is bluffing with only a king high. Not even a pair. In his hand or pants. Waaaa Waaa crybaby Boehner!
Can some one tell me why we want to discriminate against the RICH?
Why discriminate against anyone?
What have they done wrong?
Why not discriminate against the southerners instead? makes no sense,....
@ Occam's Razor - BINGO, spot on!!
That didn't take long. Obama's not even re-elected yet and Norquist is already threatening the wimps of the republican party about the next election. And almost before Rmoney is done saying, "I will reach across the aisle", Boehner says "our way or the highway". It's time to take the gloves off. The republicans are obstructing the progress of this country. They NEED to be called out...loud and often. The polls aren't even closed and they are already refusing to cooperate. Fiscal cliff, here we come. And it will be 100% the fault of the republicans.
how racist to make fun of someone's skin color Bayllie,..
@Hole122000 - that is a problem... we may just have 4 more years exactly like the last 2 years.
Who would have thought it, huh?
The obvious response to the Republican intransigence is to allow ALL the tax cuts to expire.
Then the tax cuts could be reinstated under PAYGO rules - passing a tax cut would require an offsetting spending cut.
It is fairly certain that Democrats could make the case for both reinstating the middle class tax cut - and - the necessary offset spending reduction to pay for the middle class tax cut.
Republicans would not want to do that - because - they would have to justify both the tax cut for the wealthy and the offsetting spending cut. Republicans would have to justify cutting government programs so they can give tax cuts to the wealthy.
Republicans believe in personal responsibility - not accountability.
Corporate America paid for and bought by the greedy elite!!! Stand up to them, and vote against the person of their choice! Don't let their money take away your freedom!!
Vote Obama/Biden on Nov. 6, 2012!!!

Romney's whole economic plan is based on a lie. The Congressional Research Council report shows that giving tax breaks to the rich does not create jobs. It does not help the economy. The republicans have been lying to us all along. Kick all the bums out. Vote.
Occam - so you believe it is okay for them to sign a loyalty oath to Grover Norquist that supercedes their oaths of office? I'm pretty damned sure that isn't doing their job.
You think when their behavior stimies the recovery of this country, it's their job? I think not!
Obama/Biden 2012
How much can you tax the non-rich? Blood from a turnip? A guy making 60K pays 25% marginal tax rate. A guy making 250K pays a marginal rate is 39%. The guy making 250K has way more tax deductions and loopholes to make his effective rate way lower than the guy with 60K does.
Well the President should tell Boner and the American Taliban that he is going to let all Taxes expire, and he is going to let the Defense cut start and shortly thereafter He dares Them to vote no on less taxes on 100% of Americans who pay $250,000.00 less a year and let Them know that He will propose Defense increases in BLUE STATES ONLY, Let the red state voters feel the pinch until 2014, Then they will vote Boner and The American Taliban out of office
sirie
you mean Bohner's self inflicted fake tan? I didn't realize that we determine one's race by the number of minutes spent in a tanning booth
you crack me up sirie, nice try
There is a real disconnect with the Republican Party and reality. Since the spread between wage earners and the executive compensation has skyrocketed to like 100 times, it seems we have to do something to stop the rape of the working class. Lets tax these fat cats, and 40% is not an outlandish amount. Then we can use that money to pay off some of the debt that has been created, and as a final resort, we can somehow increase the working man's wages to be liveable.....again.
Baylie, maybe siri is a guy and is offended by the word "boner" because he lacks the ability to get one? Awww, poor poor siri.
Call their bluff! Send those republicons over their fiscal cliff.
Once they go over that cliff their party over country pledge to Emperor Norquist is null and void.
That will release the less radical ones to actually start working for our country instead of their party.
Devil's Son
or purposely inflates his single-digit tax % to a double-digit tax rate on 1 of 2 tax returns that he allows the public to see
so when harry last week said that he will not support president romney's legislative initiatives he was establishing himself as the new leader of the "party of no". sounds very outrageous.
i am trying to remember the words shared by this site when he said that. can anyone remind me what seeking or any of the other obamabots had to say?
Boehner is a Boner
OBAMA/BIDEN 2012
Boehner can push us off the fiscal cliff. We'll go into a recession for 2 year and come back stronger.
If Republicans think they can obstruct another 4 years, they will be very disappointed in 2014.
AlaskaGirl-759554
Republicans seem to be offended by words that refer to private parts or by sex altogether. How else do you explain their obsession with other people's sex lives?
This is always a fun game: just say the word "v-a-g-i-n-a" around Republicans and watch them squirm.
If that's the game the Republicans in the House want to play...let them self destruct. Start reminding the American People that Sequestration would not be looming were it not for the Tea Party freshmen refusing to raise the debt ceiling. Do not let up...beat that horse to death! Do not bargain to let their precious defense contractors off the hook. Straight Sequestration. Let them explain to not just the American People but Wall Street, the Defense Industry and the Department of Defense why they are running the US Economy off the cliff.
It will really hurt the middle-class for about two years but it will crush Wall Street, who in turn will crush the Republican Party. Since Boner is announcing this declaration of war before the election results are in, Democrats in the House only need to hang tough for 60 days. Then they can kiss their Republican colleagues goodbye in 2014.
I wonder if The Weeper of the House remembers what happens to bullies who draw lines in the sand?
In case he forgot, it ends up in his bloated orange face!
The last thing we need right now, is a hormonally imbalanced drunk making threats!
sirie,
It's not a game. It's people's lives.
When did Grover Norquist become King of America?
When millionaires control 56% of the entire wealth of he country, there's not enough left in circulation for consumers to spend and build a vibrant enonomy. Whittle them down to 20-25% and there will be growth and prosperity for all. Still plenty of insentive to excell, still billionaires. With that much (56%) locked up the economy stagnates.
The campaign to eliminate the radical right wing Republicans from congress begins tomorrow. Anyone who puts a pledge to Grover Norquist above the oath they gave to this country should be excised.
So, because a business makes $500k per year, they should be taxed higher?
How come?
Don't they provide jobs, thus providing a tax base for the government to enjoy?
Wow, this country is going in circles, and if Obama wins, mark my word that we will get 4 more years of the last 2 years, and people will complain.... really?? what did they think would happen, that Boehner would magically start giving the spend happy Dems everything they want?
and, the sexual reference by AlaskaGirl, what is your answer to my question as to why the Rich should pay more? nothing??
I'm glad I'm independant and not walking with blinders on.
No wonder this country is in so much trouble, falling to other countries in education, in competitiveness, and in GENERAL.
WE ARE THE PROBLEM people, including myself, as to why we are FAILING our children!
Call the Republican's bluff. If the agreement isn't made the tax cuts are ended, the defense cuts are made, and the deficit is paid down. Problem solved. That's what Clinton did to Newt. He called his bluff.
sirie,
It's not the business that gets taxed more. It's the money that is taken out of that business, if it's a lot.
You independant? It is to laugh.
So what all you Democrats are saying is that people like Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid and the Kennedy family should NOT be allowed to keep what they have accumulated. Please try very hard to remember that not all rich people are Republicans.
Great name for a rock band.
What a fool. It's really sad that he's/they've already started the game. Can we get on with real governance for once? He's mistaken to assume that this is a mandate for the GOP/TP's obstructionist tactics. One could just as easily assume that the electorate is telling both parties, 'let's all just reset back to start and try this again with better results.'
The fact is that the American electorate is sick and tired of politically inspired gridlock. There's enough uncertainty collectively(by the electorate) on the best course for the country that they're effectively asking for a, 'do over'. However, if the House GOP/TP's, don't join in collaboration and stick with their Nordquist pledge, they'll be toast. Because, you can be sure the Democrats will be throwing flags on the play every chance they get.
Since, it's common knowledge that the economy will be improving regardless. Since, that groundwork has already been laid, the Democrats will have a strong narrative in the next election that the Republicans aren't constructively engaged. There will be no second chance for a GOP/TP controlled house.
OK, lets hold hands and jump off the fiscal cliff together then Boehner.
I assume you think the government can tax it's way to American prosperity? I suggest you take some economics classes so you can realize the lack of fundamentals in that theory. So much for he civility Biden and Obama called for yesterday.
Who the hell do you think you are BS'ing? I was around when Dwight Eisenhower presided over a top tax rate of > 90%. The wealthy did not stop investing and continued getting wealthier...as did the middle-class.
Employers are NOT job creators. Middle-Class Consumer are job creators. No Demand...no business...GET IT? Employers are not employing out of patriotism, never have, never will! They are employing as a response to increase demand...no demand...no new jobs...no more business.
It's called profit motive...not patriotism!
Congratulations to the Obama ticket for winning re-election. It's long past time to stop playing the republican's game as if they would relent and do what's best for the country. The next four years need to be hardball instead of the maybe they'll come around and see sense softball Obama and the Dems have been playing.
Weepy Boehner is heading out the door next election if we stop playing softball with all these American Taliban, Grover Norquist A$$ kissing Tea Baggers.
Thanks John-2032532
I am glad there are some with economic skills...
How can Republicans take an oath of office with one hand and pledge allegiance to Norquest and no new taxes with the other? This conflict of interest is the primary reason for our national dysfunction, and they should be ashamed of themselves. And... an unfair tax structure is basically a raid on the treasury. Is it any wonder the rich are getting richer and the national debt is flying in the stratosphere? Are Republicans blind?
@ Ol_Doc
Then answer one question... WHY DO WE DISCRIMINATE AGAINST WEALTH?
You guys/gals act like there is finite wealth, and that the rich are hording it.
is that how you think, really?
Well, don't feel bad if you can't answer, apparantly there is a reason why there are people at the top, and people below them.
.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you....
John, sirie,
Romney's whole economic plan is based on a lie. The Congressional Research Council report shows that giving tax breaks to the rich does not create jobs. It does not help the economy. The republicans have been lying to us all along. Kick all the bums out. Vote.
Worth stating again
As opposed to cutting our way to American prosperity? Where did you say you took economics? Was your instructor Milton Friedman by chance? We've tried supply side economics for 30 years...it hasn't worked! There is no successful economy based on supply side economics in world history...but you neocons keep trying it. Either you are insane or more likely you're trying to keep the same transfer of wealth going to the wealthy that has been going on for the last 30 years.
sirie - you're talking about the guy that handed out checks from Big Tobacco on the House floor, right? Ok, just checking.
Ol_Doc, what is your pedigree?
If the taxes are not raised on the wealthy, then that lost income will have to come from somewhere (esp. if by some crooked chance that Romney wins and wants to expand the military and possibly more Republican wars overseas)), which leaves the middle class left to pay for the deficits, inflation, and added costs. Replace all the GOP/Tea Party House of Obstructionism with other people willing to get some serious work done for a change. Remove Boehner and McConnell, who exists to argue everything.
You see, that's what got us into trouble in the first place...why should we favor the wealthy? This is the lowest tax rate they've paid in over 60 years...where are the jobs?
There is finite wealth and that is the other problem with Neoconservatives, no common sense at all. If wealth were infinite we would have no economic problems...the wealth would be there. It's a little like this strange myth that when things go to hell in the stock market the money just disappears. Really...care to explain where it goes? ...very wealthy investors betting against the market...that's where it goes.
Tax breaks for the wealthy investor class accomplish one thing...self enrichment for the wealthy. They DO NOT invest in American jobs, they do what Romney did...invest in Chinese jobs!
Funny you should mention the rich hording money...what do you think off-shore bank accounts are? You really don't believe the junk you're talking do you?
by income you mean revenue?
Is there only so much revenue, or is it because of the trade deficit that we are squandering what revenue we have, by chance?
if we pay 38 of every 100 dollars coming in, to loans, then maybe start by looking there...
that is a WHOLE different situation... and one that needs to be immediately dealt with, not kicked down the road for our children.
starting to see the picture folks?
@ ol_doc
wealth is not based on gold anymore, hence their is nothing "finite" about it.
I still do NOT agree to discriminate against the wealthy
Just as I do not agree to discriminate against Baptist, short people, or members of your family, for no reason.
That is hateful, and bigotry.
Tell me that it isn't in a way that I will believe it.
Ok folks are you getting a little tired of this nonsense? I know I am. But before things can get better we have some work to do.
#1. We need to re-introduce the FAIRNESS DOCTRINE in Broadcasting. That will put an end to hate radio and FOX news. The only way we will EVER get this country back on track is if we stop allowing ANYBODY, right or left, to use the public airwaves to broadcast propaganda. Look up the FAIRNESS DOCTRINE. Reagan orchestrated it's removal in 1987 and guess who was the first benefactor? Rush Limbaugh! Here we are 25 years later and look at the mess they've made of America by allowing lies and propaganda to be broadcast to certain gullible segments of the electorate. That's got to stop.
#2. Identify and support GOOD, STRONG candidates to run against GOP House members in the 2014 mid term elections and TAKE THEM DOWN! Half a dozen. That's all it would take to send them a message to get to work and stop jerking us around. Don't use the scatter-gun approach. Target no more than a half a dozen GOP house members and make sure they are gone in 2015. In 2016 we'll target a dozen and give them early retirement. Small gains is all it will take.
If we did those two, very simple things we'd turn this country around in less than a decade. Congress would work once again as the founding fathers intended and we'd put an end to all these shenanigans.
These two goals are VERY achieveable. But NOTHING is going to work if we don't get rid of hate radio and Fox News. They are broadcasting propaganda directly into the brains of the gullible, low information voters that they count on to support their un-American activities.
LISTEN TO ME. I'm a serious as a heart attack. Do those two things and we won't have to worry about expanding the Affordable Health Care act into "Medicare for everybody" or equality for all Americans or real, meaningful immigration reform because we'll be dealing with facts and not GOP wedge-issue bogey men.
We can do it, let's git'er done!
Obama/Biden 2012
So pay attention here. Of ALLLL the issues that could be brought up... jobs... unemployment... health care... Medicare... Social Security... foreign affairs... contraceptives... abortion... illegal immigration...
Out of ALLLL these issues, this Boehner brings up only one... the ONE that the GOP lives and breathes for... the one Adelson donated $100 Million to Romney to assure... is low taxes for the rich.
But let's get real. When we're talking low taxes at the top, we're talking only about low PERSONAL and CAPITAL GAINS taxes, NOT corporate tax rates.
The top tax rate, just for reference, used to be 90%. Well above the current personal rate of 36% or the capital gains tax of 15%. And with these LOWEST TAX RATES IN OUR HISTORY, during this recession we got:
Record profits from the Fortune 500 companies.
Record lows in reinvestment by these same companies.
Record paydays to the executives of these same companies.
A 13% net worth increase by people in these tax brackets.
A 40% net worth DECREASE by the middle class... those below these tax rates.
Record amounts of money sent to off-shore accounts, both in the number of people sending the money and the amounts of the deposits.
An estimated $100 Trillion in off-shore money... taken OUT of this economy.
My point is this. These artificially low tax rates at the top are a primary cause of the rich-to-middle-class net worth gap. They do not ENCOURAGE JOBS, they ENCOURAGE big paydays and removal of money from our economy... they feed Adelson.
So to lower the tax rates is idiocy. It will not "grow" our economy in any way shape or form. It will only line pockets already stuffed with middle class money.
To raise taxes incrementally is only reasonable. It will have no direct effect on small business. It only taxes small businesses TAKING MONEY OUT OF THEIR BUSINESS AS PERSONAL INCOME. It only raises taxes incrementally on the MOST SUCCESSFUL of these businesses to help fund our recovery, our wars, our Homeland Security, Medicaid, and other currently unfunded ventures.
To NOT raise taxes on the top is asinine... plain and simple.
And yet, that is the ONE issue raised by Boehner. Are you people so blind that you cannot see right through this stunt? Call it class warfare if you wish... the rich started it years ago. Call it redistribution if you wish... it was redistributed to the rich off-shore accounts years ago.
I call it a necessary and fair correction.
skip Nicholson, Oklahoma City
Go skip!! Good post!
sure, if you can't answer the question, change the subject.
Repubs are bad!
We are good!
We need to get out the bad!
bullsh!t abounds here................... no wonder really, misery loves company
Ah, the spirit of bipartisan cooperation for the good of the country. These bastards are disgusting.
Further proof that Republicans simply aren't serious about solving the debt crisis.
sirie
It is not discriminating against the wealthy... read my post 1.70.
This has gotten seriously out of control and what should be a simple discussion has been twisted in so many ways that it is confusing to all of us.
Please note:
A 3.6% increase in personal tax rates at the top means that AFTER you have made over $250,000 (or so) in taxable income, the next amounts of monies will be taxed an additional 3.6%. So, specifically, what that means is that a $100,000 project making a 10% Return on Investment (ROI) will cost an additional $360 in taxes... hardly a war on the rich... hardly worth talking about.
What is it with Republicans and their false equivalencies? If Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, the Kennedy family, Charles and David Koch, the Walton family, the Mars family paid 3% to 4% more than they are paying in Federal taxes, they would not loose what they have accumulated. In fact it wouldn't even effect their lifestyles. Personally I'd like to see it increased by 10%-15% with a 15% increase on Capital Gains tax. The carrot I would use with Capital Gains is that if you invest in an American company producing in America (no off-shore production) you could keep the 15% rate, otherwise it goes to 30%.
it is not discriminating if we only discriminate a little?
.
Really?
This reminds me of the 60's, and the racial discrimination, only it is OK because it won't hurt the wealthy.
I give up...
God will know that you are purposely treating a person unfair, even if you can't admit it.
I didn't see it reported anywhere except locally but the same thing happened here in Travis county, TX last week. Our machines don't show the actual votes registered until the end and one person noticed that their vote for Obama was registered as Romney. They were able to get the vote negated and were allowed to vote again but many folks don't actually double check so who knows?? Anyway, it's very disturbing because even though it displayed my vote I don't get a paper trail verifying it.
I HATE no paper trail. I worked in IT for 30 years. Computer programs are too easy to manipulate.
1. Gold is not the only commodity of value.
2. By your reasoning we should just print more money. If there is nothing finite about it, the more paper money the better, right? Good God, I'm more fiscally conservative than you are!
For the last 30 years we've been discriminating against the middle-class...why is that ok?
Probably shouldn't bring God into this. I don't think he likes wealthy people:
"Then Jesus said to his disciples, 'I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.'"
-Matthew 19:23-24
Obama will let the Bush-era tax cuts expire, and then introduce a bill to cut taxes for everyone making less than $250,000-$500,000, which the Republicans will be forced to go along with or they will be seen as being against a tax cut for the middle class...end of story.
Sirie
Come on. Raising taxes on those who make more than $250,000 by 3.6% won't send anyone to the poor house. We make well over than and I calculated our taxes would have gone up less than $500/month last year. When you bring home over $30,000/month that is not a big deal.
Those of us who are lucky enough to actually have that much can certainly afford to aid the country in getting out of this mess. And when I say 'lucky' I mean it. The first and most important point of that luck is that we live here and are citizens of the best country in the world.
And don't start with the 'well, just pay more' because that's just not how it works. There is even a new study out that shows that lowering taxes on the so-called 'job creators' doesn't create jobs. It just concentrates more wealth in the hands of a few. I know I don't want to live in a feudal society where only a few have the wealth and privileges. We tried that in the Middle Ages and it wasn't a good time unless you were one of those 'privileged' few.
Mickey, I wish it were that easy. The problem is that all taxation and spending bills must originate in the US House, which is controlled by Republicans. I guarantee they will make no such proposal. They've already doused themselves with gasoline...I doubt they'll strike a match. Although the Tea Party members aren't terribly bright...they could self-destruct.
discrimination is discrimination...
and Doc, i do agree that the wealthy have a hard time making it to heaven, all the more reason to treat them nicely!
:~D
it all fairness, not ONE person should be discrimiated against, don't you think it is time we ended discrimination?
Anyone that can claim to have failed to note the rampant obstructionism and deleterious effects on our nation as a whole... Even to the point of praising it even when the obstructors obstruct their own ideas so long as a half black president likes them... Has clearly eaten too much eucalyptus and is chock-full of the fibrous results. Pretending to belong to a reasoned group of thinkers while claiming high ground for 9%ers... That's a flop without ever first having been a flip.
You ask why we discriminate AGAINST wealth? You don't get any answer because your question is a steaming load of crap. Please explain again at what level their lower percentage tax rate becomes descriminatory... 1/2 of what a teacher pays? 2/3? 3/4?. Brainiac.
OK, let's stop the discriminating. Let's tax everyone that makes over $50,000 at 39% until the debt is paid off. Business that reinvest their profit back into the business don't pay taxes on that money. If they chose to keep the money then they pay 39% like everyone else.
By the way, I make much more than $50,000 but I don't mind paying my fair share.
Absolutely! Charles Koch should pay his mail clerk the same amount he makes.
sirie
Romney chose to manipulate his 2011 tax return to pay a higher tax rate. Was he feeling patriotic that year or was it to prevent discrediting his claim that he pays too much in taxes?????
according to the IRS, the top 400 individual income tax returns (which was $202 million in 2009) paid less in taxes than Romney—in fact, some paid zero.
ZERO ZERO ZERO so please spare me the 'poor rich folks" propaganda!
Mickey, NY - Would you like to make a bet that Obama (if reelected) will not let the Bush tax cuts expire just to try and prove a point. He promised that the last time and caved at the last minute. Further as you yourself have said "Obama can't govern unless he has a majority in both houses of Congress, and that isn't going to happen."
I have said many times, I am not against tax increases but only after the tax codes are revised to close loopholes, & subsidies that have out lived their purpose. Also all government agencies are audited by the GAO and waste, fraud, and duplication of programs within several agencies be ended. We need a complete realignment of agencies responsibilities. Once those two things are accomplished then, and only then, should tax increases be considered. The government waste billions of dollars every year.
Larry - You say let's tax everyone who makes over $50K pay 39% until the debt is paid off. The problem with that is the government will not pay down the debt but will use the money for more government programs. The more the government takes in the more they will spend.
it all fairness, not ONE person should be discrimiated against, don't you think it is time we ended discrimination?
We discriminate all the time. Criminals should be put in jail. Poor athletes shouldn't be chosen in the NFL draft. Bosses should have more say in a company than the workers. Handicapped people should get better parking spaces. There is no problem with discrimination as long as it is rationally justified.
It is rational to ask the wealthy to pay more because they have more money by definition, and when money needs to come from somewhere, it is ethical (utilitarian-wise) for those with more to give more, and those with less to give less. But hey, who needs ethics, right? We have guns and religion.
Let the Bush Tax Cuts expire. Show the Republicants what happens when you refuse to negotiate. The Democrats had a majority and had a right to set the agenda but all the Teabag scum want to do is filbuster and obstruct. Let the cuts expire and let the American people see what caving into the Teabag scum has gotten them.
The ONLY way we will ever get enough revenue to move toward a reduction in the deficit is to let ALL of the Bush tax cuts expire. It will hurt some, but we need the revenue and we will never get it any other way in the short term.
sirie
So please show us how Romney was discriminated against prior to 2010, and even during 2010 &2011.
You do realize Romney is an S-corp so he gets to avoid paying Medicare tax and he pays a much lower % by avoiding to call his income "income". The rest of us don't get to manipulate our income so yeah, I guess you are right, discrimination is discrimination.
OHIO UPDATE!!!.....November 6th 2012 5:49pm
BAD NEWS FOR OBAMA !!!
HAMILTON COUNTY OHIO RECORD REPUBLICAN TURNOUT
75% REPUBLICAN TURNOUT BY 8:30 AM
LARGEST TURNOUT IN HISTORY OF HAMILTON COUNTY!!!
LINES IN REPUBLICAN AREAS ARE 1 1/2 HOURS LONG!!!
BYE BYE OBAMA!!!!
There are 88 counties in Ohio.
Hamilton county has a population of 800,000.
Ohio has a population of 11,500,000.
I love it when numbers speak for themselves.
AS HAMILTON COUNTY GOES...SO GOES OHIO!!!
TRY LOOKING UP THE HISTORY OF HAMILTON COUNTY AND WHAT THAT MEANS STATEWIDE...
DO YOU LIVE HERE?
First poll closed!!!
ROMNEY JUST WON INDIANA!!!
When you get sprayed orange that not "someone's skin color". Now is it?
I do not live in Ohio and I am willing to bet you $10,000 (Wink, wink) that Obama wins Ohio. Care to take me up on that bet? In fact, I am willing to bet the good of the nation and it's middle class (The real patriots of the country) that the President gets re-elected because if not they, myself included will be the ones that suffer after Romney & his little henchman are seated. But I choose to stay positive and can only say that all tax cuts should be abolished and let the sequestration begin, as it will harm many a republican's district and impact their corporate masters donations to their re-election coffers. Good luck in Ohio!!!!!!
Obama/Biden for a better future without the fleas that are the republicans in the 9% Congress.
sirie,
By your logic, it is the rest of us who have been discriminated against. Since 1960, the taxes of the top brackets have been cut far more than everyone else. That's discrimination.
Raising rates on the most wealthy is merely evening out the score fractionally.
I guess we gonna have to call on all retired snipers to call their spotters....
"ticked off"....That's the tricky thing about votes that you teabaggers don't understand...
...After the polls close, you have to actually COUNT them.
I hope this helps you in your blatant ignorance...Were you home schooled?
@ sfcret
So you're saying the Republican house will spend every dime they take in and more like they did from 2001 to 2007.
The problem with the BS talking points of Republican being fiscally conservative is they only want to save money when a Democrat is president.
hey shocked
Romney is at 63% to 35%
40,000 votes to 21,000 votes...its going to be ugly...even tho it was a foregone conclusion Romney would win Indiana
Maybe you should crawl back under your rock and read a pamphlet or two
Let me throw in Kentucky too...its 69% to 29%...again...we already knew Romney was taking KY If I'm going to fast for you to keep up just go ahead and go away
Shockedanddisgusted
he's already calling the winner with only 1% of vote in IN and in counties that vote red anyways...
Ticked off in Ohio
educate yourself, please! Most of IN counties went to McCain in 2008. Obama still won the ones that count BIG.
bayllie:
It is painfully obvious that "ticked off" has no clue as to what 1% means....
Larry-2260635
that's spent > than took in.
every single year under Bush (with the exception of FY2001 which was Clinton's), Republicans ran deficit. They controlled WH, Senate and House for 2 yrs, and WH, House and 50/50 + VP in Senate for 4 yrs.
Shockedanddisgusted
it's because he's been brainwashed by Romney to believe that 1% decide it all!
ticked off, here is how Obama did in 2008:
http://elections.nytimes.com/2008/results/president/map.html
that's how this works
brainwashed
Remember that Romney is majority shareholder of Bain.
Bain owns Clear Channel.
Clear Channel owns 900 radio stations that host Limbaugh, Beck and Hanity et al.
That's a lot of persuasion power.
W. Bush changed the rules to let Clear Channel own a lot more stations in a single market than before.
Romney may lose the election but he will reap a windfall profit from all the advertising done on his radio stations.
lol..OK bayllie and shocked...since you seem to be so sure that just 1% doesnt mean jack....
Lets place a friendly wager...I bet you both 1 million dollars each that Mitt Romney will win Indiana and i'll even wait til 100% of the vote is in...
HAHAHAHAHHAHHHAAAA!!!
EDUCATE MYSELF????...THATS REAL AMUSING
...
OH DAMN!!!
Would you just look what they just did!
They just went and colored Indiana and Kentucky "RED" on the electoral maps!!!
Hey bayllie and shocked...the bet is still on isn't it????
hahahhahahhahahahahhahahah!!!!
Libtards...they're the funniest people!!!!
Um, kentucky and indiana were already projected to go red. Should we flip out when ney york an california go 'blue'?
On a seperate note, the real travesty is the sweater he is wearing in the picture. That should make both dems and republicans sick.
It's done. Obama Wins.
I'm guessing Ticked Off in Ohio has no comment. So sorry for your loss Ticked. Better stick with your day job and forget that career move into the field of prognostication that you were hoping to make.
Ticked - Still laughing at us libtards? Wow, it must really suck to get creamed by a bunch of libtard pukes, huh? How about another little hahaha from you? Lip out of joint a bit? Oh, poor nut job, we truly do feel sorry for you.... OK, not!
Princeton final … that is until the polls close
Obama 303 to 305
Romney 235 to 233
BCWC 0 … buy it on E-bay now
House- Democrats win 2-22 seats. D 205+/-10, R 230+/-10 seats, Republicans retain control.
Senate- Democrats win 1-3 seats. D/I 55 +/-1, R 45 +/-1 seats, Democrats retain control.
Two-candidate popular vote: Obama 51.1%, Romney 48.9%.
That was funny... I can just see it...
N.B. that is with Florida going to Romney ... we may have to wait for a recount.
One of the odd things about all the GOP chanting about winning the early vote is that they may well lose the election day vote as in they shot their bolt early.
well black cat white cat - proof is in the pudding!
Hey, no copying!!!
I predicted 303 EC votes, and 51-52% of the popular vote for Obama.
I have a novel idea that I'm sure will be completely ignored. How about, no matter what the results of this election are, the American people try to avoid allowing the parties to polarize us? How about we try being civil to one another again? Of course, with the anonymity of the internet that'll never happen but it sure would be nice if we could start showing respect for the differences in other people's opinions. It would certainly be worth a shot, wouldn't it?
Reaper - logic in this room is like a force field, and will be invisible to the "drones".
Capitalism has a way of working itself out.
It has a checks and balances system built in, that one group can NOT gain control.
I agree with you whole heartedly, but I think your logic falls on deaf ears... sadly.
Boner is such a dick!
Didn't seem to work out well for the French aristocracy. I doubt it will work out well for the American aristocracy in the long run either (and the French only had torches and pitchforks).
He who writes the biggest check controls the system!
And what would those be pray tell? If enough children die from tainted food products people will quit buying the food product? I rather like the Chinese method myself...quick trial in an auditorium...public execution immediately afterward. Now that's checks and balances!
Romney is now on the phone to Boehner, yelling, "I haven't lost yet, schmuck! Could you at least wait until the election's over to announce the new obstructionism!?"
Michael ... PERFECT and so very TRUE!
It's about time the Republican party understood it isn't about them, it's about US and they were voted in to do a JOB . . . NOT just run for office!!!
Except he wouldn't say "schmuck". He would say "for Pete's sake" or something from 1950's television shows.
I really love watching Faux Noise talking heads complaining how Obama never compromises with the teabaggers and hasnt met with republithug leaders since summer. SO What! Meet with leaders that have no intention of compromising. Thats like agreeing to meet with the schoolyard bully before school knowing hes going to kick you in the balls and steal your lunch money.
And Taliban Pete and Jihad Jeb will still be there
Let us not forget why the economy didn't recover faster. Republicans pledged to take the nation down in order to make President Obama a one term President!
WHY DON'T RT WINGERS AND REPUBS BRAG ABOUT HOW THEY DELIBERATELY PREVENTED THE ECONOMY GETTING BETTER FASTER?
REPUBS CAUSE THE ECONOMY TO GROW SLOW, THEN WHINE THAT IT IS NOT GROWING!
RYAN SABOTAGES THE ECONOMY. REPUBS BLOCK BRINGING OFFSHORE JOBS BACK TO AMERICA.
REPUBS DO THEIR BEST TO MAKE AMERICA WORSE!
From dailykos.com 9/6/12 by keepemhonest Story : MAtt APPUZZO FACT CHECK THIS.2009 PAUL RYAN PLOTTED TO SABOTAGE THE ECONOMY.
So, allow me to educate Matt Apuzzo with real facts that really led to the Republican's plotted obstruction to guarantee legislative cluster-f@ck.
FACT 1. In Robert Draper's book, "Do Not Ask What Good We Do: Inside the U.S. House of Representatives" Draper wrote that on inauguration night, 2009, during a four hour, "invitation only" meeting with GOP Hate-Propaganda Minister, Frank Luntz, the below listed Senior GOP Law Writers literally plotted to sabotage, undermine and destroy America's Economy.
FACT 2: Draper wrote the guest list included:
FACT 3: Newt Gingrich confirms meeting took place in an interview with Al Sharpton's Politics Nation on June 12, 2012
FACT 4: Two months after Paul Ryan's covert meeting where they plotted to sabotage the US Economy, in March 2009, Rep. Pete Sessions said Republicans should follow the model of the Taliban in its battles against President Obama.
In the March 2009 interview with National Journal Rep Sessions said:
Rep Pete Sessions went on to say:
FACT 5: Also, at the January 20, 2009 meeting they plotted to suddenly stop supporting any Stimulus Legislation, even though, they all supported Bush/Cheney Stimulus legislation.
Clotho - you're right, he's right out of "Father Knows Best" or even "Leave it to Beaver"....
Typical drunken Boehner behavior. Blowing his wad before he's even figured out who he's screwing...Woops.
A scene from the reformed '50's republican sit-com, "Leave it to Boehner":
"Aww shucks, Mittsy. Why is Paulie all bent over like that??"
Ther is no one at Guantanamo Bay that has done as much damage to America as the People on that list above provided by August 506561... Think about that...
Why are these people still finding freedom and prosperity as an option in our country? Don't double-agents go to prison anymore? Don't people found to have plotted against this nation get excluded from its promise anymore?
Where the hell is J. Edgar Hoover when you need him? These sacks of excrement should be collared, tried, convicted, and forgotten in their cells. That would send the rest of the religiostic four-faced racist tea-baggers back into their little closets until time cleansed the earth of them.
Republicans will have to decide if they want to keep the bloated military or decide to compromise.
Give them a little more time. They may yet learn the true meaning of insurgency!
I think that should have read their priority is to get re-elected. That's been their ONLY priority for the past four years! I hope you all voted your do-nothings OUT!
Obama/Biden 2012
How can people ticket split ?
You are either for one set of ideas or the other or don't vote...
The GOP has made their stance clear..
The dems have a right and left....
The GOP is only far right..
Vote straight tickets...
Time for my prediction ...
Sometime this evening based on aggregate State polls 50.1% of the country will be cheering OBAMANATION and 49.9% will be jeering OBOMINATION.
Actually, that's something I've been thinking a lot about lately, BCWC. There's no real way to verify it, of course, but when viewing early voting, there's two ways to view it. You either 'move' a vote that was going to go to your column anyway or you 'bank' a certain number of votes that would not have voted under normal circumstances because you make voting easier.
My personal theory is that Democrats get more bang for their buck from early voting, ironically enough, because Republican voters tend to be such loyal and motivated voters. If you look at the internals of most polls taken and look at the place where the likely voter screen is, you'll generally see something like this:
Republican:
Will Definitely Vote - 92%
Will Probably Vote - 3%
Democrat:
Will Definitely Vote: 77%
Will Probably Vote: 18%
Because of that, there is more of a tendency for Democrats to 'bleed off' a certain percentage of votes that would otherwise have been there each election because voting is a hassle.
So what I think we'll see is that it doesn't really matter when Republicans vote, because they are going to vote anyway. So they are 'moving' votes. But the longer the early voting period and the more convenient you make the process, the more likely it is that the Democrats will actually 'bank' some votes they would not have had in prior elections.
Michael,
I see it as fake Hootenanny on the Republican side that came about after the second debate with the false mantra of Ro-mentum ... it had ground to a halt and began moving in the opposite direction.
What I haven't heard much this cycle is the military vote which mostly goes republithug but this year we have a guy who got them out of Iraq, killed bin laden and 30 of the top al-qaeda leaders and sent cruise missiles at Qaddafi. Who you gonna vote for, the guy who got you out of the hellhole in iraq or the guy who said it was a mistake to leave and wants another war with Iran alongside his good buddy Bibbi.
JohnRN
I would expect the numbers among Iraq and Afghanistan veterans to shift quite a bit more to Obama ... Michelle has done much for them.
JohnRN
You forgot to mention the Murder of Ambassador Stevens and 3 other Americans in Obama's Libyan Campaign. And that will leave a bad taste in the Active Military,Reserves and Vets for a long time.
You sir are an idiot
slodon, I would think the military would have more of a "bad taste" in their mouths for the thousands of American troops who have died wandering around looking for Bush's WMDs.
Such narrow minds ....
The votes aren't even counted and Boehner is right back to repeating the same old lies. What a tool.
I think things might be different in Obama's second term. This reminds me a lot of 1996. It's easy to forget how much the GOP despised President Clinton, but they really, really did. His second term, however, he had the support of the American public and the political capital to do the things he needed to get done. Also, not having to run for re-election is extremely liberating for any politician.
Without Republicans having a main goal of making Obama a one-term President, manufacturing a new "Waterloo" every month, plus having less reason to suppress economic growth with two new presidential candidates in 2016, they may work with him after some initial bluster.
And maybe I'm too optimistic, but I'm hoping this loss encourages the GOP to reject the Tea Party extremists that have infiltrated and torn apart the party.
Clotho,
Do you happen to recall anything about a little impeachment, an impeachment that costs 10s of millions of dollars and was never really meant to remove Clinton from office; only drag his name through as much mud as possible to help ensure Al Gore would not win in 00'?
I'm sure if Obama gets re-elected, the GOP will come after him anywhere they can get their teeth into deep enough to hold...
The GOP is downright desperate.
Oh you mean like opening up the free-for-all for Wall Street to sell off bad loans to fannie mae & Freddie Mac? He made billions for himself and those of both parties. However if those crooked a-holes would have listenend to Brooksley Born, and fixed it then we would not have had the issue we had in 2007
Clotho, consider that, with a re-election, President Obama will no longer have his hands tied by electoral concerns, and he may just decide to arrest the Repubs who have, against their oath as Representatives and Senators, signed on to Norquist's Anti-Tax Pledge for treason if they DO go and try to obstruct everything again. He has ample grounds to do so since they are, intentionally, causing damage to the very Nation that they have sworn to Serve and Protect as well as the Hundreds of Millions of People that have been negatively impacted by the Repub's intransigence. Toss in arresting a few of the Repub Governors, AG's and the like, such as Rick Scott, who have, intentionally and maliciously suppressed voting in their States. Use of the RICO law might also be in order since the Repub Party, at National and State levels have been acting no differently than the Mafia with their blatant extortion, obstruction, lies, extreme fear mongering (terrorism anyone?) and illegal/unconstitutional acts against the Nation, the States and the Public.
Would the right wing scream...yeah, but they would have to do so from a jail cell, and I could live with that.
Hey, since the Repubs were the ones that put the Arrest and Indefinite Detain sections in the NDAA and have refused to let Guantanamo be closed, I can think of no better idea than to send them to Guantanamo to see how the Other prisoners and terrorists there live. I can just see Boenor, Cantor, McConnell, Romney, Ryan, Scott and the rest in orange jumpsuits behind a chain link fence and chained by the ankle to the center of their cage with Marines, armed and ready, guarding them.
B Honest - that is the best idea I've ever heard. Like you, I can live with that. It's what they deserve for what they have attempted to do to MY country. What I can't understand is why they are they way they are. I'm a 63 year old retired white woman who graduated from high school in 1967. (I went to college but didn't graduate but I had a decent life and retired with a not so bad pension.) Anyway, I'm a baby boomer and an ole hippie. We smoked pot, did other drugs, listened to a lot of really good music and had a good time but there came a time to take responsibility for ourselves. The only thing that we hated was the war in Vietnam. We actually did something about that. And the best thing about it, is that the peace treaty was signed on my birthday in 1973. We went after the politicians and made them change. We'll just do it again in 2014 if that's what it takes.
I would think even a Lying-a'd "Road Skollar" would know how to spell "Polling place" when he wanted to lie about taking people there. Leave out the second L and you've Sanduskied yourself. I feel sorry for the LaCrossers.
Anyway, I rounded up 1,019 homeless people and herded them through the streets to a POLLING place where they ALL voted several times for OBAMA in exchange for the cookies that Mitt didn't like because they looked store-bought from a 7-Eleven... Afterward, I flew them all home on my private jet.
B honest, are you serious? Arrest your opponent? Wow, The TEA party was elected to stop government spending, their constituents voted them in for that purpose. You want them arrested because they don't agree with you? Priceless
julio, it is not about arresting ones opponent, it is about arresting those who have, against their SWORN duty to the USA, and have, against their oath, sworn fealty to Grover Norquist and his Anti-Tax Pledge, along with entering into their conspiratorial agreement to do EVERYTHING possible, even harming the Nation, which they did, in their grand plan to make President Obama a one term President. The FACT that they INTENTIONALLY slowed down the recovery, preventing actions that would have produced many new jobs and got the economy back on track, causing distress, intense damage and even death amongst the populace shows that they have actually acted in a manner that is, quite frankly by historical definitions, Treason, and should be charged for that crime against the Nation, the States and the people of the USA.
No, it is not a matter of doing what dictatorships do, rounding up the opponents to remove them from any chance at power, this would be the removal of individuals who have proven themselves to be members of a group which has directly caused damage tot he US, against their SWORN duties tot he USA. Individuals have been hung for less, here in the US in fact, and since the Repub Party, at State and Federal levels, have done such unconstitutional acts as suppressing the vote, disenfranchising legal voters, intentionally slowing down the economic recovery and refusing to do their sworn duties of Governing for the People and upholding the Constitution, my solution is actually quite apt. As TRAITORS and TERRORISTS (causing fear in the populace for political and ideological reasons) these individuals and as a group are culpable in the harm and added expense inflicted upon The People, they deserve no pity, no respect and deserve to lose their freedom, power and wealth as they have abused it in their single-minded drive for ever more power and the wealth that would accrue with such power. They have no legitimate place near the levers of power since they have PROVEN that they are unable to wield it for the good of the Nation, the States or The People.
Politicians who fail to uphold the Constitution and do harm to the people in doing so need to be removed, and my idea, the removal, imprisonment and subsequent trials (considering that they have forced the prisoners and terrorists at Guantanamo to be held for a decade with no trial, perhaps wait as long to try them) is much better than just calling them out as traitors and demanding that they are all hung, as would have happened to them in past centuries for this kind of actions.
And besides, the TPers did not run on bring government to to a halt, they were elected on the platform of JOBS, JOBS JOBS...and they NEVER delivered even a single bill for JOBS. So you fail in your argument right there. I expect that some politicians will disagree with me, or the opposite party, but never before in the history of our Nation has one party done so much damage, and all in the name of political points to remove a sitting President...NEVER. Their actions speak for themselves, and they do NOT have the best interests of the Population in mind, only that of the top level of the richest in our society who are grabbing after the last scraps on the table, no matter that people are in desperate NEED, no, they represent only those forces which have been intent on damaging our ecology, economy, the Government and The People they swore to represent.
Believe it or not, I just convinced two undecided co-workers to vote for the President.
Drove them to their polls and they were very happy. They claim they were afraid of being harassed by right-wing activists at the door so they were going to skip the election.
Not on my watch!
Go O and Joe..................... Roll Tide.
Andy, I'd buy you a beer after work if we were close!
Thanks Andy. You are a true American!!
Just drove my son and his entire Lacrosse practice squad to the poling place. They all voted for Romney as they care about getting jobs after college and are freaking out about the $52,000 that each US citizen owes to cancel out the $16 trillion dollar debt.
All of you others out there, I hope you can possibly see how someone who is finally making decent money (in the range where Obama wants to raise taxes) feels about giving more money to the Government to fund failed energy companies, robotic squirrel research, or a welfare recipient who got his/her work requirement waived.
Even if Obama wins, we will keep him in check for at least two years. The majority of this country is slightly right of center and we believe in fiscal discipline and less government intrusion. Deal with it.
Andy of Steeler Nation.....What has 124 legs and 124 arms and has an IQ of 80? The University of Alabama football team. What a disgrace college football has become.
Good job dude what a true American
Sounds about right for liberals. "Those people are scary. I just can't risk my life to vote". Pathetic. Not only PC but self obsessed to go with it I bet.
What were they afraid of? Some liberal placed crap in their minds that someone might actually say hello when the really meant vote for Romney or else?
Well i voted Obama because i care about being able to AFFORD to go to college
To bad you had to convince them after this past year of campaigning, IF they really were afraid, there would not have been the need to convince them, they already would of been democratic. I find your story a bit for fetched, But, there are those that believe you.
Dandit61 - Gotta agree with you on that far fetched yet I was willing to give the "hero" the benefit of the doubt.
Andy, Id buy you an Iron City beer even!
the laziness of dems has been summed up. they need people to drive them to the polls and basically walk them to the machine and tell them how to vote... get their butt off the couch and physically take them to the polls. i'm sure the two you convinced to vote were well educated and informed voters haha have yet to meet a obama supporter that can get anything more out than "racist!"
funny thing is, this is exactly why obama will get beat. its a tight race and republicans are making time after work to go to the polls while libs are to lazy to wait in line. their laziness will cost them the election.
@Chris Rhodes Scoloar - "believe in fiscal discipline and less government intrusion"
This coming from the party of Reagan and W - two presidents who created the most deficits we have today - and the party that wants to legislate who can marry whom and what woman can or can not do to their body - I think sir that you've lost all credibility with that sentence.
@FrugalDemocrat - what good will college do anyone when you won't be able to find a decent job out of school. obama is creating less jobs, lower paying gov jobs, and part time jobs.
obama will lower the price of tuition....yeah right, just like he lowered debt, got unemployment under 6%, and brought dems and republicans together. the guy promises the world and hasn't delivered on anything. i'm sure its Bush's fault right? all obama needs is 4 more years......If obama couldn't fix things after the first four, how do you think he'll fix them now that america is worse off and deeper in debt.
That post by Chris Rhodes Scholar in unbelievable because of the reasons given for voting for romney.
This is a 1%er who just wants to keep his tax cuts.
Andy - First time I've ever posted. Your post about talking 2 undecided to vote for the President and then taking them to vote...
I just had to say That's the best thing I've heard all day!!
Oh i forgot, lets give money to millionaires. They are sure to hire more people, even if the demand falls off because the middle class is failing. Also, quite a bit is Bush's fault. He may be gone, but his legacy is not. Lastly, he has delivered on quite a few things. Of the 508 promises he made on the campaign trail in 2008 he has made at least an attempt on 420 of them.
miklkit - no Chris "Rhodes Scholar" is no 1%er. Not even close to being smart enough.
Obama/Biden 2012
Love that multi millionaires are considered "small business men" LOL!
Certainly hedge fund managers are defined as small businesses.
Golf pros are considered small businesses. Just ask Tiger Woods.
Boners concession speech........................... nice!
Obama gave his farewell speech in Ohio last night. At least, with the thanking and praising he was doing sounded like a double purpose speech to me. Practicing so he can use it tonight or tomorrow also when needed.
It was an amazing speech. Whoever people support, seeing Obama's last campaign speech ever was a moment in American history. I'll tell you though: if Hillary runs in 2016, Obama is going to have to run himself ragged campaigning for her, after the unbelievable job Bill did for Obama's campaign.
No actually if you remember, Bill and Hill owed Obama a big one. Do you not recall that Obama helped pay off Hillary's campaign debt at the end of the 2008 election? Methinks all the "help" was to eradicate that debt.
The house needs to attach an amendment to any tax bill or jobs bill, that amendment will say if this bill is passed and signed by the President then Obamacare is repealed.
They have been trying that, that is ALL they have been doing...33 attempts to repeal the ACA and NO jobs bills passed...and didn't the Repubs, in 2010, run on JOBS...well, where are they, and where are the jobs bills...Oh Yeah, the ONE jobs bill that they wrote, for Veterans, the Repubs voted against their OWN bill because President Obama approved of it.
The ACA will NOT be repealed, it will be improved, over time, but it is here to stay!
LOL Improved on the backs of the taxpayers, your living in lala land.
The Rethuglicans that ran on job's,job's,job's, only created one job. That being a second term for Obama.
Actually its, going to a single payer system would see MASSIVE savings in the cost of medical care instantly. Doctor's offices would Not need to have a large staff of billing specialists whose job it is to file claims with all of the various insurance companies with all of their different, and constantly changing, policies and things that they will and won't pay for, they will not have to keep sending bills to the Ins. Cos. and since the ins. cos. are profit driven, going to a single payer system would completely bypass the insurance companies themselves. Will that put some people out of work, yes, but a lot fewer than the number of just teachers that have been let go due to budget concerns. But what it would do is slash the actual costs of health care in half immediately:not having to pay for huge billing departments, which are extremely inefficient to begin with, and removing the insurance profits from the equation would literally save trillions of dollars every year. This is why all of the other Nations with Socialized Medical systems are able to afford to cover their citizens.
And NO, it is NOT the medical and welfare that these nations have set up that is driving those nations broke, it is the same thing as we have here, rapacious bankers and Wall Street and their Stock Markets that are sucking all of us dry. Greece is having problems because, like here, the rich have been able to rig the system so they pay very low taxes and the banks are demanding that THEY get paid FIRST, before the needs of the Nations and their Peoples are taken care of. Just like the Repubs and their rich fat cats have been doing here. In fact, MOST of the debt that Greece owes is to Goldman-Sachs, who sold them bundled mortgages of American homes, remember, the ones that G-S DESIGNED to fail, and then bet against themselves? That and the banks were all lying about what their actual costs of them borrowing money was, the whole LIBOR scandal that they are still investigating and have expanded the number of banks that they are investigating, and are finding that they have just found the tip of the iceberg of deceit and manipulations.
We can have single payer medical here too, with much better medical outcomes if the doctors are not worried about the treatment that the patient needs is not denied by the insurance companies who deny claims so as to increase their profits. The ONLY people that will really be hurt are those insurance billers, yeah, the insurance companies themselves will go out of business or move to a different segment of the market (housing, car, business and life insurances) but the owners and management class ALREADY have plenty enough money that they will be able to live the rest of several lives before they even come close to going broke, most can live off the interest alone and still make a cool million a year. We can make it so that he people that do the billing get job retraining or pensioned off with a tiny amount of the saving, so even they can be easily taken care of.
The impact on taxpayers would actually be minimal, especially since people would not have to pay the insurance companies ever increasing amounts of money for slimmer and slimmer coverage, so a small increase in taxes would be massively offset by the savings from not having to pay for medical care separately.
John Boehner does not represent the vast majority of high-income Americans, who actually have no problem with necessary higher taxes. Boehner represents his backers, a handful of the greediest billionaires on the planet.
Ben Goodman- and Grover Norquist - he represents Grover Norquist!
Obama/Biden 2012
necessary high taxes? obama can tax the rich 100% of their money and it won't make a dent in the debt of america. there isn't enough people in the country to tax to fix obamas spending. this is what the low minded libs can't understand. obama is spending out of control.
anyone want to talk about what got us in this mess? it was america spending on their mortgage way beyond what they could afford. Obama is doing just this. the last crash will be nothing compared to Obama bankrupting america. dems need to get a clue. not everyone wants to be out of a job and live on government assistance, as convenient as it might sound to the laziness of the libs.
Ben, here in Washington, our own Bill Gates and Paul Allen have spoken out publicly on the neccessity of raising taxes on the highest incomes. You are as right as rain about that.
Top marginal tax rate of 35% = Capitalism
Top marginal tax rate of 38% =Socialism
Yep, it adds up...
HoosierMizuno, my fondest wish for you and everybody out there who despises his fellow man for having a run of misfortune is that you, too, should someday know the helplessness and bitterness of losing first your job, then your health insurance, then your health, then your home- followed quickly by your dignity and maybe just your arrogance.
I don't know if you fancy yourself a Christian, but I do know that the Jesus of the Gospels would be horrified and deeply saddened by your callousness. A brain without a heart to inform it will always make bad decisions.
As opposed to how fiscally responsible the conservatives are being? What with their trillion dollars of additional military spending and massive tax cuts.
And people dont just "get" mortgages. Banks were 50% of that.
Also, lets take a look at spending. Medicare Part D-Republican idea, will cost $1 trillion
Iraq War-Republican idea, cost about $1 trillion
Bush tax cuts-Republican idea, cost about $3.5 trillion.
Forgive me if i laugh at the idea of a republican balancing our budget
@FoxTrotsky i for one believe 100% that less fortunate or those struggling need some assistance to get on their feet. its those who's career is living on the government that is wrong. you talk about losing jobs, funny that more people that ever have lost jobs under Obama. Romney wants to help the poor by creating jobs, not upping food stamps.
Obama wants to create a snowball effect where the more poor they help, the more poor is created.
i'm not rich, don't hate the poor, am christian but not a bible thumper, and believe that obama is creating a hatred towards success. Romney doesn't hate the poor, he wants rich to pay more by lowering the rate but gettting rid of silly deductions. cant you understand that obama gets the moron vote playing to the poor.
obama isn't helping the poor, he's supporting their ways and lessening incentive to work for success. romney will still help those who want to be helped. my tax money is not a charity to those who want to not look for work, do drugs, and have babies.
I have a daughter who makes close to $100,000 a year and yet could not get health care insurance because she had asthma as a child. Pre existing condition.
She has health care insurance now because of ACA, and it hasn't even fully kicked in yet.
I have already voted for my family.
O and Joe for America.
Hoosier: You must be counting the unemployment numbers starting on Jan 20, 2009. Are you seriously saying that those numbers belong to Obama? I guess you can't fix stupid.
heh heh- read where some poll machines have some glitch where your vote for Obama switches to Romney. Even the poll machines have an opinion- and a good one at that!!
We don't want your kind of freedom.
Would that be the freedom to be a hate-filled, ignorant, low-income, spiteful, blaspheming bigot? I'm with Starderup- we already have that freedom, but we also have the freedom to choose to be better than that- and we, along with millions of our countrymen, have made that choice.
Face the facts, Pro; you're on the losing side of history, just like your spiritual forebears were when they went after the Freedom Riders with dogs and firehoses. Your kind of politics are becoming extinct because fewer and fewer children every year are being taught to despise and hate. Say hello to the dinosaurs from me and Starderup, willya?
Hmmm...I'm thinking that if the shoe was on the other foot you'd be crying very loudly.
That has been going on for over a decade, and it is always you republicons doing it.
Yes. Something very strange happened in Volusia County on election night November 2000, the night that first Gore won Florida, then Bush, and then as everybody can so well remember there was a tie.
Diebold Memos Disclose Florida 2000 E-Voting Fraud | Scoop News
Heh heh- and all the Obama leg-humpers come out. Enjoy the rest of the day because tomorrow President Romney will take center stage and steer us away from the cliff your hero has been steering us toward the last four painful years.
Wow...only a nazi teabagger would laugh about voter fraud and call Americans supporting their President "leg humpers".
Regardless of how the election goes, "profreedom" will still be a bad person...a true reflection of his/her mother's inability to raise a decent human.
Without revenue, we could keep the military and entitlements for seniors, but we would have to eliminate the WHOLE rest of the government to balance the budget. If you make the rich and corporations pay what they SHOULD be paying, we have a government and a real country with a balanced budget.
Someone needs to say right up front how INSANE the GOP is! They do NOT tell you the consequences of their actions nor how reckless their so called ideology is. The TeaPublicans took us to the brink of default last summer which got our credit rating downgraded. It does not get much more insane that that!
Your so good at wanting to raise taxes, how about you send the Government a extra 1000.00 to help balance the budget, oh wait that is coming out of your pocket, never mind.
It is not just me giving $1000, it is 100 million people giving $1000. That is $100 BILLION dollars. EVERYONE has to pay taxes, not just the middle class, while Romney pays 14% and corporations pay 7% of the federal budget.
Boehner is dressed for another round of golf - The GOP "Do Nothing" Congress really does something (golf, smoke, & drink).
Man, Boehner and the GOP are already pulling the plug on this election and Romney. Nice party they have there.
It never fails. the only comeback libs have is to change a last name and be vulgar. obviously they are out of ideas on what actually should be done or why to actually support obama, as if name calling ever does anything other than further push independents to the republican vote.
Democrats are in for a shock when they wake up wed morning. their liberal media has been doing a bang up job clouding the truth and distorting the picture of how close this race really is.
we can see from this story that after the election republicans don't take days off. they'll keep working and fighting for america. dems, they'll go back to laying on the couch, biden will take his vacation, and obama will hit the links. business as usual
Hoosier - how short your memory. It seems like only this morning I was reading posts referring to Obozo or Obummer. And, this Independent has had enough of the idiots on the far right calling our President names; claiming he's a socialist; marxist; communist; not an American.
You need to wake up to facts. YOUR party of disgusting racists who don't have the intelligence of a rock have been out to get this President from day one. And you have the audacity to come on here and whine about what someone calls the traitor Boehner?
Your stupid last paragraph says everything about you. You whine about Boehner but then make the same snide comments about Democrats who work more than your stupid radical right wingers ever do.
You're a disgusting hypocrite. Try to grow some decency for a change. It would be a welcome change of pace for your ilk! Your post shows exactly what gutter trash the radical right is!
Obama/Biden 2012
Hey Hoosier, how about Obummer, Obammy, The Muslim, the Socialist and some of the other lovely names that come from the Republican side? You never hear any of that....right? Get real.
HaHa! OMG! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the "tears streaming down my face" laughter. Your party is a joke. "Republicans don't take days off." That is the biggest load of crap I have read all month.
"It never fails. the only comeback libs have is to change a last name and be vulgar"
Yeah.....Odumbo, Obozo, Oblamo, ObaMao, Obammy, Oblahblah, Obomba, Obummer, OsamaObama......
Not to mention "Moochelle".
We libs should be ashamed of ourselves.
"republicans don't take days off"
Of course they don't. It was only the Democrats who took off all these days, right?
Wish I worked this kind of schedule and still got paid for it:
http://thomas.loc.gov/home/ds/h1122.html
Hey.....here is a new one.....how about ex-President effective January 31st!
Hoosier...I applaud you as a vouice of reason and sanity. You see, being a democrat is like being in a cult. They believe what they want to believe and ignore all the facts. If you told them they were on fire, they would say its just a little hot out today. Obama has added $1.5 trillion dollars to the debt every year in office, we have 23 million Americans out of work, 45 million people on food stamps, GDP is less than 1%, etc and they just go on their merry ways.
Chris - you could never be a Rhodes Scholar because it is clear you have very limited intellect. The cult followers are the Republicans who don't care about facts - just make them up as they go along - even in the face of proof that they are lying. Your concept of reality is so far divorced from what reality is, it is frightening.
Our President had the job of putting 2 wars on our tab since Bush decided they didn't count. 45 million people are on food stamps because Bushie tanked the economy and we as a country don't let our people starve. We are adding jobs and - had Republicans not blocked every effort - there would be more.
Your lying stupidity shows how dishonest and dishonorable you are! You're the perfect Republican - you just don't give a damn!
Obama/Biden 2012 for ALL Americans
Want fries with those words, Hoosier? Hope you have an appetite.
Disgusting racist??????? I was called a stupid B*TCH going into my polling location because I happen to be wearing my NRA shirt.
DO NOT lump us all into one category.... you will be the one looking like a damned fool.
JoAnne inPA: As a pushing 60, white male you do not know what I hear. I have come to notice that it is not a lot, but a very vocal number. Lets shut them up. VOTE!
4 more 4 44
So much for politics of "love America" or for reaching across the aisle. Boehner's comments make it clear that compromise with Republicans means you do it my way or the highway--even if business people endorse an increase for the wealthiest of Americans and even if it means that we throw the economy over the cliff. What a scum bag.
Would Mr. Boehner survive a RECALL vote? I am not sure that we can survive another two years under his watch (but I am confident that he won't get re-elected in 2014
Boehner's seat is probaby safe, but his Speaker's gavel is not. There could be a wave in 2014, just as there was a wave in 2010, only in the opposite direction.
On Wisconsin.......oh yeah....that'll work!!
Is your name your total IQ.
Readyornot, please learn to punctuate before you call others stupid. Thanks!
Be careful what you wish for - Cantor is waiting in the wings just dieing to take the speakers gavel. He is worse than Boehner.
Agent Orange needs shut the f@%k up and start doing whats best for the country. What a dick he is.
Hmm so to republicans billionaires are more important than those who enrich the billionaires with their hard honest work, ya makes a lot of sense. Exactly how to they plan to be able to pay for any projects when they refuse to tax the primary sources of income?
love how obama has created an america where successful people have become the villians. i'm far from rich, but understand that no one is employed by anyone who isn't rich. business owners aren't the bad guy. they are the one supplying the ignorant dems with jobs....those that actually want to work.
keep thinking that anyone who is rich is a horrible person, and it won't be long until we're all living a worse life. obama has succeeded in creating a mindset of low standards, zero motivation to be successful, and combine that with their belief of entitlement and we're doomed.
Hoosier, and no rich guy has ever gotten richer with out the help of his lowly workers. Don't forget that. They are what makes him rich.
Hoosier - more lies from you! NO ONE dislikes rich people. More of the 1%ers are Democrats than Republicans. See - they just have values and have no problem paying a little more.
You clearly only listen to FOX - try some REAL news for change - then you won't sound so totally ignorant!
Obama/Biden 2012
What is with this obsession with supply-side economics. It doesn't work.
If there is a demand, someone will make it. Its NOT if there is a supply, someone will buy it. You can complain that rich people need money to do business all you want, but i know that if middle class people spend, there will be business, with or without rich people
Agent Orange...............I like it. It has a very evil overtone.
Frugal Democrat...you must have failed business or economics or both. Its real simple, business people have loads of cash just waiting to see what happens with the tax laws and health care costs. We can either make profit on margin or volume. Before we are willing to invest valuable capital on expanding which is a risk in itself, we want to know if our healthcare costs and taxes are going to go up. If they do, then why hire more workers if we are going to make less money. Might as well close up shop, liquidate, and park our money in the Caymans. Let some other sap deal with all the regulations, increase in healthcare, and taxes.
Chris: That's kinda' whats been happening. Sitting on loads of cash instead of investing it in people and products. Why? Because there's no incentive to spend. With a higher tax obligation the "job creator's" are motivated to spend to reduce that obligation instead of save.
How in the world would you ever have survived when the tax rates were 50% and above? 39% is still very reasonable.
Read this, and see what you think of your Representative, sometimes the truth hurts:
The Bush tax cuts will expire . The republicans will have to negoiate this time.
The Bush tax cuts do expire as planned and voted for. The Boehner ought to know this, he voted for them to expire twice. Once again, the GOP was outwitted by President Obama. Obama knows that because of the timing and the failure of the GOP to take the Senate or WH (plus losing house seats) the GOP will be in no position to bargain. Sit tight and the tax cuts expire. Same with the estate tax on the wealthy 1%. The Boehner can flap his jaws all he wants but it is all empty bluster.
All tax cuts should expire and let sequestration begin. I'm sure by the time President Obama is sworn in for the second time, the republicans will be ready to compromise. If not, they will be blamed for everything bad that will happen to the country. More power to 'em.
We should all be asking our Representatives about this report, when they insist on extending the Bush tax cuts for the super rich. Get informed and read this:
So it's been made as clear as can be that Boehner, the Oompa-loompa from Hell, is going to only do the bidding of the 1%; he's already gone on record saying, in effect, "We've been ranting, screaming and throwing tantrums for four years about getting spending under control and shrinking the deficit, but we all know it was never about that. All we're here for is to protect our billionaire masters and make Obama look bad to the low-info, low-intelligence Republican base. I already made myself clear when I said: 'So be it.' "
MY GOD!! (Trotsky pummels self in forehead, provoking worried glance from wife and mournful howl from pugs.) I don't even know what's worse; Boehner announcing, 10 hours before the Far Left Coast polls close, that his party intends to continue their war on the American productive class, or knowing that all over this ill-informed land, there are people in their singlewides (that being all they can afford on the $17,600 that a full-time job at Wal-Mart pays them), saying, "Damn right! We ain't gonna stand for no got-damn socialism, no way."
Jesus wept, the Republican war on public education is paying off years sooner than I had anticipated. "We have met the enemy, and he is us." - Pogo by Walt Kelly
Boehner and the other House Republicans face a problem that a reelected Obama would not face. That is, keeping their own seats in 2014.
If this election has any result, I think it is "ideology fatigue" for the voting public. We need to get things DONE for America!
Campaign finances are a perfect example of the leadership of Obama.
Romney finances are balanced and in good shape. actually has surplus of funds.
Obamas campaign has racked up huge debt.
Obama loves to spend money that isn't his. Who's the next green company to get taxpayer money and then go bankrupt. Obama picks losers better than anyone. what a joke of a president. the guy is a fraud. he'll be broke within 5 years after he's booted out of the white house if he spends his own money the way he spends mine
This rich job creator mantra is garbage and they know it. The Congressional Research Council has just completed a study looking at the last 65 years to understand the correlation between taxes and growth. Guess what... NO Correlation whatsoever so you have to question the Republican leadership's motives.
And here's another reason why, McConnell had the report removed from circulation. It just doesn't fit into their lie or platform. If you remember, Bush did the same thing with the environmental study.
Sleezy or what?????????
It's peculiar that the GOP would publicly take this stance before any of today's election results. To do so has the feel of an underhanded admission that they're marking their territory while sensing that they aren't going to win the presidency and or upper chamber.
GOP actually planning for whatever the outcome, actually thinking ahead. obama hasn't came up with a plan on anything other than tax the rich cause they need to pay a little more" yeah casue that will create jobs??
forgive the gop for actually doing their job and working on a day obama plays basketball while thousands continue to suffer the hurricane aftermath. obama is lazy and a fraud. got a lot in common with libs.
Grow up Hoosier.
Get a life, Hoosier!
Boehner is doing what he was elected to do,limit the damage the Bozo in the white house does to the deficit. He has done a great job and will continue to fight for all Americans and their children. If it wasn't for him we would be up to 20 trillion in debt by now, which would be as Obama said"shameful".
That's funny because the deficit began when Clinton's term ended and the surplus was spent under Bush. The deficit went up exactly the same amount as the Bush tax cuts. Now, we need to get that money back from the 1% to pay down the deficit. They really aren't 'job creators' at all.
Boehner is doing what he was elected to do,limit the damage the Bozo in the white house does to the deficit. He has done a great job and will continue to fight for all Americans and their children. If it wasn't for him we would be up to 20 trillion in debt by now, which would be as Obama said"shameful". You could take all the 1%'s money and it wouldn't cover the debt Oblamo ran up-do you get it yet?
When you go to apply for your next job, tell the employer they really aren't job creators. That is sum funny chit right there
that f u c k i n g IDIOT BONEHEAD has no love for the USA (none whatsoever) He has the attitude of a spoiled child - I WANT I WANT I WANT!!! Well BOO HOO. Just think - due to a total lack of compromise, we will tilt over the fiscal CLIFF. Maybe (just maybe) THAT will get somebody's ATTENTION
