Hecklers interrupt Obama's Cincinnati rally

Larry Downing / Reuters

President Obama is interrupted by an anti-abortion protester as he speaks at a campaign event at Fifth Third Arena at the University of Cincinnati, Nov. 4.

CINCINNATI, OHIO -- As President Obama tried to maximize the precious few stops he has left in crucial Ohio, his rally here Sunday night was full of musical interludes, but not without a few interruptions.

Taking the stage at the University of Cincinnati shortly after R+B superstar Stevie Wonder warmed up the crowd, the president was sidetracked by a lone protestor up in the rafters, who held a sign and yelled, his words loud but hard to make out.

“I guess y’all are still fired up,” Obama said as the crowd began a counter-chant of “four more years!” attempting to drown the heckler out.

At first the president tried to soldier through and deliver his remarks over the protestor, but he finally gave in as the crowd cheered on state troopers who pried the man away from the balcony bars he had grabbed onto.

Pablo Martinez Monsivais / AP

President Barack Obama reaches over to greet supporters before speaking at in Cincinnati.

But it wasn’t over yet – there was still one more protestor who had to be removed from the arena.

“It’s okay folks. Everybody, it’s okay. We’re good,” Obama said before once again giving up until the cheering and shouting subsided.

Despite the dissonance at the beginning of his remarks, the rest of the president’s event was much more harmonious, given that Wonder played the president offstage to “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” – an Obama campaign favorite.

As the band struck up the first recognizable chords of the song, most of the 13,500 audience members started to dance and clap along.

Not even the president could resist – he was seen shuffling back and forth, modestly clapping to the beat.

After his event in Cincinnati, the president headed to Aurora, Colorado, where he would be joined by singer/songwriter Dave Matthews.

How come there is no comment from MSN or any other mainstream media about when there were hecklers at the Romney event today!!!

And how come MSN isn't saying anything about the Bengahzi debacle... Why? Because they are afraid that if they say anything it would bring Obama and his team of morons down. They are a bunch of traitors to this country. If you want the truth about what is going on you all need to go to FOX! Uncover your eyes people. This man is bad for Our America! Or you will live to regret it... Mark my words...

Fox news is not the be all end all of news and information. The day most news channels were covering the devastation in the Northeast from Sandy, they were giving it just a small mention but talking about Bengahzi for the rest of the hour. I agree Bengahzi was a tradegy but if Obama and his team had sent in troops and more people killed, then Fox would have been all over Obama for that. He can't win with that bunch of prejudiced goofs. Before you assume incorrectly, I am a white person in my mid fifties and have been married to the same person for over 30 years. I watch all the news outlets so that I can listen to everyone and form my own opinion, not let some news person tell me what to think. Unless you are in the 1%, you will be sorry if you vote for Romney.

Fox is a paragon of light compared to some, at least Fox admits a bias, most media should be required to display their Team Obama buttons.

I grew up in Chicago loving and dancing to Motown music and Stevie Wonder was one of my favorite vocalists; too bad Obama's supporters are as blind as Stevie is.

With a hat tip to Can'tAfforNoMore:

Our President said that he would bring the nation together. Instead he drove a wedge between large segments of our country and deliberately and repeatedly pitted various groups of Americans against one another.

Our President said that he could work with the opposition party by reaching across the isle. He never did so. In fact he was rude and contemptuous of not only his political opponents but even members of his own party.

Our President said that his administration would be free from lobbyists. In fact his administration has more former lobbyists than any administration in United States history.

Our President said that his administration would be the most transparent ever. In fact his is the most secretive and increasingly, the most blatantly dishonest.

Our President said that he would fix the economy within three years. He did not do so. And in fact, his increasingly restrictive regulations continue to cripple our economic recovery.

Our President said that his health care bill would lower health care costs. In fact it is greatly increasing health care costs. And contrary to his promises, no we can't keep our own doctor, and our health care services are being diminished. And our elderly will lose 700 billion dollars in medical services.

Our President said that he would not raise taxes on 95% of Americans in any way. He raised taxes on all of us and will do so again in January. To gain politically, he diverted the "payroll tax", which is the revenue that funds Social Security. He always kicks the fiscal responsibility can down the road.

Our President said that his stimulus spending bill would solve our employment problem. It solved nothing, and tacked a whopping trillion dollars onto the already staggering debt.

Our President said that he would cut the deficit in half by the end of his first term. Instead he added 5 trillion dollars to our debt and has nothing to show for it. And, he has built his Stimulus spending into the baseline and plans to continue to spend one trillion dollars more per year than the country receives in revenues.

I believe we all see a pattern here. Our President said that if he could not fix the economy within three year that he did not deserve a second term....I agree, in fact he has more than proven that he didn't deserve the first one!!!

Obama's war on freedom of speech seems going well. It seems very important for him to have no dissenting voice heard, no embarrassing questions about ambassadors he left to die.

Obama has the press trained and obedient, hopefully the American people will never all be so tame.

Romney is drawing crowds of up to 25,000 and Obama only had 13,000? Looks like he's in trouble! In addition, independents and undecideds usually break for the challenger, plus Romney has the enthusiasm factor and an equally strong ground game.

Romney will win, but we won't know officially for perhaps a day or two after Tuesday. I'm sure Democrats will make attempts to try to steal the election back if Romney is announced as the winner.

Some have complained the GOP wanted to make Obama a one term president. How politically naive can someone be, EVERY opposition party wants to make the other guy a one term president.

Obama had a Democrat controlled congress for the first two years and couldn't even work with them.

One and Done is Obama own fault. Not Bush's fault, not the GOP, Obama's fault.

Nbc or Msnbc is losing viewers? They showing the republicans too much? When I was a Fox viewer and they were spewing probably false stuff way back when but I hadn't realized it yet, I used to badly want just a channel for republicans only.I used to think just play the republican stuff. Well Fox News is that and now when I see Msnbc showing Romney or the other side I just hit the mute button or change channels and tell myself thank God they are still playing both sides. That is the way it should be.It keeps them from misleading the country. If some don't like it they can go to a more biased channel but when they do they imo are only hurting themselves. With your brain when you put garbage in, garbage comes out. Why would anyone really only want to hear one side of the story when that side is obviously biased and studies show no matter how you try you can't really help it. I do love times like when Cavuto laughed at some preposterous statement and asked Romney if he just dissed half of the country which we all know he did, Geraldo when he has had enough of the bs, and Chris Wallace I kinda like that dude. I have heard more truth from him than anyone on that channel. Anyway I must say to viewers, I used to be hesitant to watch Msnbc because of what the other channel said. But try it. You also have a mute button and a channel changer if you need it. But after a while you may find you are using it less and less. And you are really hearing both sides of the story whether you like it or not. And that ultimately is good!

It seems like the excuse they are dreaming up is Hurricane Sandy. It was hurricane Mitt trying to spew his destruction all over our country and tycoon Ryan. Or was that tycoon MItt. I guess it was typhoon Ryan or typhool. Whatever, it wasn't hurricane sandy and it wasn't the economic collapse last time either. It was McCain and Palin. In game change when her own handler or whatever she was couldn't vote for Palin and McCain you know it had nothing to do with the economy. They can hide but they can't hide that much. Obama and the United States will prevail tomorrow.

This election is about women. Women will lose every right they have fought for over the last fifty years if Romney wins, and the TEA Party wins control of the US Senate. So, women are now in control of their destiny. Any woman who votes for Romney can stop complaining about fair wages at work, her personal health choices, and perhaps her right to sit in the front of the bus. Read the Republican Platform very carefully, women are going to take one giant step backward if Romney is elected.

We haven't heard much about the house. I saw something this morning which indicates the dems will pick up a few seats. Hopefully that will mean the end of Paul Ryan in politics, Michele Bachman, Alan West aka some of the worse troublemakers. If they don't straighten up and fly right as my mom used to say the others will be on the way out next time around. It is time for the obstructors to start cooperating with our president Barack Obama. Imagine how much he would be winning if the republicans had even tried. They knew that of course. I would love to be a little fly on their wall right now. Wouldn't you. Lets see we failed on this on this and on this. Is failure going to be the goal next time too? Boehner when you meet with your financial advisors on the morning after if you are still in control why don't you ask them that. And tell them they have a losing strategy!!

Brenda, you must be a low info person. Where did you get the notion that healthcare costs are lower? We have been forced into a high deductible plan.

As to tax exemptions for the Mormon Church being inappropriate, let' s talk about what some of you think of as more traditional. The Catholic Church certainly acts like a corporation. How about the Lutherans? Baptists? Such bigots.

I wish when things like this happen Obama could bring the heckler up on stage and see what he has to say and straighten him out.Call him out like he did Mitt Romney. Obama chewing out Romney in front of the country was priceless. My favorite moment of the campaign . Of course then Fox News and Limbaugh had to lie out of it for Romney but the truth was in the video of the statement in the Rose Garden.Romney deserved exactly what he got!!! I feel sorry for all the viewers/Americans who are being fed constant lies and untrue statements. Why else would there be such vitriole. Some have so much misinformatin in their heads it is overwhelming to address them. This has to be accomplished by day after day year after year programming from the malicious right. Even take Gov Christie he can yap all he wants but when Obama comes around to work with him one on one, hmmmmmm! That is what a leader does. Christies says he is still republican, still voting for Romney but makes you wonder why doesn't it? You want a leader not a constant criticizer and someone waiting to pounce on every little opportunity that raises its head. And I just read in the Bible just because you have a fancy house(s) doesn't make you a good leader. Isn't Romneys greatest argument to be president and maybe the only way actually is that nice house, 6 total I think, and all his money. Which we don't even know how it was made. After the election hopefully someone who has the guts of a leader will tell us if Romney really paid no taxes. I heard it was through a tax exempt church trust. True don't know?. But someone should have the guts to tell us. Thankfully God knows. romney can run and lie all he wants but he can't hide from God. Thankfully Obama has stayed respectful and acted like a true Christian leader. God knows that too. Now let us see what God thinks of the US. We will find out tomorrow night won't we? Many think being gay, having abortions etc. is wrong and I believe to God it is. But it is just as important to God how you treat those people and how you conduct yourself respectfully, truthfully and with some class. I think to God telling a lie equals the others. Especially when you are lyin to millions. Some simply forget that. God please protect our country and our future and oversee the election of Barack Obama!!

Actually the Romney/Ryan faction on this board are sounding as desperate as Romney campaigners are beginning to look. Sure hope they are right to be worried. Vote for the man who stands up for the middle-class- Obama, not the weather vane that is Romney.

Republicans don't even know who they are voting for, the severe conservative, the moderate Mitt, the vulture capitalist that will dismantle America and sell it for profit? Who is the real Mitt? What is his plan? He says he won't tell us until after we elect him? Oh sure, I'll buy that....not.

I personally DO NOT WANT a Commander-in-Chief who deserts his troops when they are desperately begging for help as we now know that's what happened in Benghazi. There should be many more "hecklers" DEMANDING this administration come clean as to what happened and why Obama LIED to the American people for almost 2 weeks, when he knew full well what happened there. To me a Commander-in-Chief who deserts his troops is not only a coward but just plain UN-AMERICAN. That's Barack Obama.
