President Barack Obama campaigns at McArthur High School in Hollywood, Fla. on Nov. 4, 2012.
With just two days until Election Day, President Barack Obama and Republican nominee Mitt Romney are running neck and neck nationally, according to the final national NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll before the election.
Obama gets support from 48 percent of likely voters, while Romney gets 47 percent.
Read the full poll here (.pdf)
A new NBC poll should give both presidential campaigns reason to hope. Obama comes in at 48 percent; Romney at 47 percent. Taking Sandy into account, 80 percent in the Northeast said they approved of the president's handling of Superstorm Sandy. NBC's Chuck Todd reports.
In the NBC/WSJ poll released two weeks ago, the two candidates were deadlocked at 47 percent each.
“This poll is reflecting a very, very close campaign nationally,” says Republican pollster Bill McInturff, who conducted this survey with Democratic pollster Peter D. Hart.
“It’s a dead heat,” Hart adds. “This election is going to be decided by turnout, turnout, turnout.”
While both Obama and Romney are running virtually even in this national poll, a majority of surveys from the battleground states – especially in the crucial battlegrounds of Iowa, Ohio and Wisconsin – show the president with a slight advantage.
A new NBC poll indicates the presidential race is in a dead heat. Meanwhile, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie may have given Obama a boost when he praised his leadership. NBC's Andrea Mitchell and David Gregory have more.
Good news for Obama: Two-thirds approve of hurricane handling
The NBC/WSJ poll – conducted Nov. 1-3 – contains good news for both Obama and Romney in the final days of the campaign.
For Obama, 41 percent of likely voters say that what they have read, heard, and seen over the past couple of weeks have given them a more favorable impression of president, compared to 40 percent who said it had given them a less favorable impression – which is up from his 38-to-43 percent score on this question two weeks ago.
Read our memo on our 'likely voter' methodology (.pdf)
Both presidential candidates have spent months fighting over nine battleground states, but as the race draws to a close the Romney campaign is trying to expand the battlefield to states that have been reliably blue in recent years. Is this opportunity or desperation? DNC Executive Director Patrick Gaspard discusses.
Part of that more favorable impression is due to his handling of Hurricane Sandy, of which 67 percent of likely voters approve.
By comparison, 45 percent of voters say they have say they have a less favorable impression of Romney from what they have read, heard and seen over the past couple of weeks, versus 40 percent who have a more favorable view.
Yet two weeks ago – fresh off his debate performances – Romney’s score here was tied, 44 percent more favorable, and 44 percent less favorable.
In the latest NBC News/ WSJ poll President Barack Obama has an eight point lead among women, however Mitt Romney has an seven point lead among men. Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., joins NBC's Andrea Mitchell to talk about the gender gap.
Comparing 2012 to 2004
In addition, Obama’s numbers in this poll look almost identical to George W. Bush’s in the final NBC/WSJ before the 2004 presidential election, which Bush ended up winning 51 percent to 48 percent.
Obama’s approval rating among likely voters stands at 49 percent – exactly matching Bush’s 49 percent approval in the final 2004 NBC/WSJ poll.
Forty-two percent say the country is headed in the right direction, versus 41 percent who said the same thing in late Oct. 2004.
And the head-to-head score between Obama and Romney – 48 percent to 47 percent – is identical to what it was in the final NBC/WSJ poll before the 2004 election: Bush 48 percent, Democrat John Kerry 47 percent.
“The comparisons between 2004 and 2012 are haunting,” McInturff says.
Good news for Romney: Comfort level, the economy
The good news for Romney in this national poll is that 53 percent of likely voters are comfortable with the idea of him as president, which ties Obama’s percentage on this question (although 39 percent are “very comfortable” with Obama versus 26 percent who are “very comfortable” with Romney).
Also, Romney is ahead of Obama among independents, 47 percent to 40 percent.
And the former Massachusetts governor leads Obama by five points on which candidate is better prepared to create jobs and grow the economy, 47 percent to 42 percent.
However, a majority of voters in the survey – 52 percent – say the economy is recovering.
The NBC/WSJ poll was conducted Nov. 1-3 of 1,475 likely voters (including 443 cell phone-only respondents), and it has a margin of error of plus-minus 2.55 percentage points.

It wouldn't matter if Willard was leading... it's all about the electoral vote, NOT the popular!
As long as we have a fair & honest election in states like FL & OH, it will be an electoral landslide!
Team Obama's ground game is larger and more advanced than it was in 2008.
Given Team Willard are already making excuses about who is to blame for their loss, it's safe to say, we can't stick a fork into this turkey...
HE's DONE!
What ever Feisty finishes saying i agree with her ! :-)
I find Romney's number to be very fitting - "47 Percent"! I also find it fitting and proper that he is finishing second in a two party contest. One difference between Republicans and Democrats lately is that Democrats listen to people whereas people listen to Republicans (and they shouldn't). I am confident the voters will re-elect Obama/Joe.
Republicans declared from the very beginning, in January 2009, that they wouldn't co-operate with President Obama and the Democrats, on fixing the economy.
Romney is so slippery and false - now trying to say that the President was the one who wouldn't co-operate.
GOP is rewriting history by saying this. The President tried relentlessly to bring GOP to the table.
Romney is cut from the same cloth, and trying to rewrite what actually happened.
Talk about a pet peeve of mine!
Notice how reporters on NBC/MSNBC have taken to calling President Obama "Mr" Obama again?
Why is it every time it looks like he is going to win, they blatantly attempt to diminish the office?
STOP with the false equivalency, there is NO comparison between being President of the United States and a Governor of ONE!
FINAL poll.
Remember all those Iowa straw polls that were driving us nuts? lol
And so here we are. FINAL poll.
Hallelujah
Bring it home Obama/Biden/Clinton.
Bring it on home.
It time to get nervous Feisty! The amount of Democrat oversampling by NBC is tremendous! Can't wait till Tuesday!
Nice to know it's the 'final poll'......comparing prime rib vs hamburger...apples vs apple juice..never seemed quite right to me!
Guess all the pollsters will be unemployed.....oh well!
Backhouse, I just saw a Romney ad where he stated - Obama, take your campaign of hate and take it back to Chicago.
After what we heard out of the teaparty for 4 years, then Limbaugh, Sununu, voter suppression, etc., Romney has the audacity to call our campaign a campaign of hate.
Trust me when I say this is just a ploy to keep people interested and reading. I worked for several years at a newspaper and one of the things they love is a close election. The other is tragedy. Both bump up circulation and profits. The same can be said for electronic news sources.
Best wishes to Pres. O.
Mitt doesn't have to be President..there is nothing to prove in his life - he already has all the money in the world. Mitt's argument is totally bogus that Mitt's business background makes him more qualified.
.
We don't need a Vulture-in-chief (Mitt); Pres. O's policies have been working. Prosperity is already here...and is coming to more people with more hope everyday.
.
FORWARD...

.
O & JOE . . . VOTE! :-)
(@1.8) Yes, that struck a nerve with me also, Pat Boston. Especially with Romney ads being 99% negative (and 99% False).
Who will ever forget Bat-Crap crazy Bachmann & her darling husband Marcus winning it? lmao
"as long as" being the operative phrase here. The people of FL just have to get out from under these teaparty clowns.
Fair, honest, in The United States of America, ain't going to happen.. I don't believe in the election system, to much money, to many people to buy off. What used to be a necessity of electoral college votes is now a way to stack the deck. It shouldn't be close, President Obama should have it in a landslide. Romney/Ryan lie through their teeth, makes no sense..
OBAMA OWNS THIS CRISIS.
WATER?
For GOD'S SAKE, WATER?
I live in Schuylkill County, PA, just about 100 miles from NYC. I was in Brooklyn a couple of weeks before Sandy hit. Took less than 2 hours to drive there.
Just counting the one reservoir my little area uses, about 3 MILLION GALLONS, we could help those in NYC with EASE.
Just needs pumps and tankers.
WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH FEMA?
Is THIS Bush's fault, TOO?
I was in Harrisburg PA on Thursday night for an NRA/Tagg Romney event at Bass Pro Shops.
SRO.
Yesterday I drove the 70+ miles to Harrisburg Intenational Airport to see Paul Ryan.
Saw his plane, but not our NEXT VICE PRESIDENT.
Fire Marshall refused to allow any more into the AIRCRAFT HANGAR (you know, a building as BIG as a CITY BLOCK?).
Said we had already EXCEEDED CAPACITY!
Some 3500 of us didn't get to see Ryan, but WE WILL VOTE for ROMNEY/RYAN, anyway!
Lots of nice folks. Even spoke with people I WORK WITH in the State Unemployment Office, and a lovely woman whose daughter works for TSA.
DEAR LEADER and his PROGS won't know what HIT THEM...
In the past month, I have been to Brooklyn NY, Philadelphia PA, Harrisburg PA, Allentown PA, Tamaqua PA, Pottsville PA, Hershey PA, and points in between.
I ZOOM on the Interstate to get there on TIME, and take the back ways home to enjoy the scenery. And I NOTICE things.
Ratio in the cities, of ROMNEY/RYAN signs to OBAMA/BIDEN signs?
100:1.
OUTSIDE the cities? There are NO O/B signs AT ALL...
Let's compare Obama's rhetoric in 2008 with his performance now;
1 – Promise - 'Investments' in Green Energy would create millions of new jobs. Reality – Billions spent on Green Energy companies (like Solyndra) have been wasted, and no new jobs.
2 - Promise - My health care would go down and I would be able to keep my own plan? Reality – Health care costs have skyrocketed, and many employers are canceling coverage for workers.
3 – Promise - You would cut the deficit in half in 4 years. Reality – Four straight years of record deficits averaging about $1.3 Trillion (The largest Deficit under Bush was only $459 Billion in 2008), and the National Debt is $6 Trillion higher than the end of fiscal 2008.
4 – Promise - Unemployment would drop to about 5% in 4 years. Reality – We are still stuck near 8%, which is higher than the 7.4% for Bush's last full month in office.
5 – Promise - Energy costs would drop as we shifted to 'Green Energy'. Reality – Energy costs have skyrocketed (Gasoline is more than double the $1.84 per gallon when Obama took office), and food costs are increasing dramatically.
GRADE - F
The House of Representatives will be essentially the same as now after the election, with Republicans in control with about 240 seats.
This means that a vote for Obama is a vote for several more years of 'GRIDLOCK', since Obama has demonstrated that he is either unwilling or unable to compromise with the Republicans.
Unlike Reagan and Clinton, who worked closely with an opposing Congress to get lots of good things done, Obama has made only one attempt to meet with the Republicans (on the Debt crisis), and even then he reneged on the 'deal' he made with Boehner.
With Romney as President, we will at least have some cooperation between the White House and Congress, and avoid more GRIDLOCK.
There's no explaining TeaPeople voting against their own best interest!
Low-information is the only reason.......
I think that the liberal media is being liberal in the skewed polls showing President Obama ahead. Sorry for your let down. Obama will lose and lose big. This article says that 2/3's of the people are happy with the Presidents handling of Hurricane Sandy, I guess that nobody asked the people in NY that still have seen NO assistance, have no power, have no food, and have lost everything. It is a joke that President Obama said no red tape and assistance is coming with no delay. Another broken promise. lol get ready for the results, I will be celebrating the Romney landslide. :)
That Romney is something else, Pat. I've never seen such a lying scoundrel like this run for such a prestigious position as POTUS. Even Nixon had more likability. Believe me, if Barack Obama were white, this race wouldn't even be close. Sorry, I had to say that because it is the truth. Look at the poll number among white males and tell me it's not true. Hopefully after Tuesday night, we can let out a long sigh of relief when the President is re-elected.
there is a sign in Staten Island the reads " Obama please dont Benghazi us " WOW !!!!! thats got to hurt , maybe Axelrod can blame it on bush !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In 2008, high school kids were campaigning for Obama. Online media targeting the 20 - 30 year old voters went nuts over him. There was an electric energy around the country at the possibility of him being elected. It was as called a Grassroots movement that took America by storm.
In 2012, most Americans (Democrats and Republicans) just want the damn thing to be over. We know neither Obama or Romney are really worth a $#!t but at least we know who Obama is as president. Romney, we have no idea what he might be.
Obama has been far from a compitent president and I say that as a former supporter of him.
If your honest with yourself, you'll admit that this president has been a huge disappointment to us!
@1.13 Feisty, and saw Bachmann's face recently when the audience laughed spontaneously at her claim - lmfao! @opajack, yes it would be nice to see Allen West go 'buh bye' too! @1.19 Chilled: Two of my brothers voted for Mitt, they aren't dumb (not really) - they just hate and fear Obama. They made it through his first term fine, they'll survive his second!
Damn liberal media - Ha!
At least President Obama has tried to run a positive campaign by saying "don't boo, vote." The revenge comment is simply an extension of this, which rightwingers could never understand because they are Haters. But even if taken in the negative context they try to spin this into, let's remember REAL history.
The Republican/Tea Party and Mitch McConnell et al, made it VERY clear more than once that their primary objective was to make the president a one-term president -- Not to make the American people the most important objective per their oath of office, rather revenge has been the rightwing goal (and always has been their mindset -- they did it to Clinton too).
Now with this reminder, and the pitiful un-American record of the GOP/TP (especially after 2010) in obstructing economic recovery, the only other word for this is TREASON. Do I want revenge in the sense of seeing as many of these unpatriotic douchbags thrown out of office? You betcha!
Say NO to the fraud, Mitt Romney -- Don't reward hiding tax evasion, lying, and election shenanigans to win the highest office in the land.
Vote a Democratic ticket all the way down the ballot -- Our country's future is truly depending on your votes!
Romney and Lying Ryan,
A plan of words, like I will create 12,000,000 new jobs, but never a word how! I will get rid of the deficit and loopholes, but Congress will have to decide how? ? Two sick puppies!
No promises, just utter failures. Grade F-
"Obama gets support from 48 percent of likely voters, while Romney gets 47 percent."
Bad news for Obama - NBC uses Marist for their polls, and Marist has one of the worst track records and most bias of all the major pollsters. In fact, in 2004, their final poll had Kerry winning by 50% to 49% for Bush. Bush actually won by 2.4%, so Marist was off by 3.4% - biased in favor of the Democrat. They were also off by about 2% in 2008 - again, biased in favor of Obama when comparing their final poll with actual results.
If Marist/NBC has Obama ahead by 1%, that means Romney is actually ahead by 2%.
Mitt Romney is determined to WIN at all cost. He has people making robocalls telling that Obama is from Kenya, and that he is a MUSLIM. This PIECE OF @!$%# called Mitt Romney deserves only a swift KICK IN THE NUTS.
Obama-Bidden 2012
tony & G-Dog, as President Obama just said on Rev. Al's show, there is a bigger purpose here than racism. It's about the future. All the other nonsense we have to just let roll off our backs. That was President Obama's message to his supporters.
And for the most part, we have. It still hurts to see so much racism, but it is the GOP that is stirring the pot. And Romney is a big part of it.
Hopefully we'll see the last of him in 2 days.
Well, America will see the last of him. Not so sure we in MA have seen the last of him. Perhaps he is moving/or has moved out of state. I have no idea. Nor do we care.
you are a liar....stop it or show some proof..your bullsh*t is PRECISELY why Romney will win in a landslide with 300+ electoral votes...
So some Romney supporter put that up, WTF? Those folks are glad Brownie isn't in charge of FEMA, they are glad we still have FEMA and not Romney isn't at the helm, and they are glad they aren't in Eric Cantor's district where they would have to give up education and other services to pay for disaster recovery.
As for Benghazi, really, seriously, you rightwingers still have your panties in a wad about this LIE from FAUX Noise and the Republican Zone? Wow!
clwyd-2621393
Romney and Lying Ryan,
A plan of words, like I will create 12,000,000 new jobs
What a joke -- those jobs are forecast regardless of who wins. It would be a shame to see Mittwitt squeak into the White House and then take credit for all the progress President Obama made despite Republican obstructionism. Lord, I hope the American people are smarter than to be hood-winked by Romney and the Republicans.
jerry-717350 -- Come out of the Republican Zone -- hurry before you disappear into the alternative universe forever!
ROY WILSON-336103
Healthcare costs have NOT sky rocketed and as for employers cancelling health plans, really? even though this wont be implimented for another year, odd, and considering the mjority will NOT be out of pocket, you have bought in to the Republican machine.
Do you really think that if you keep the stock holders over Wall Street making billions of dollars IS GOING TO TRICKLE DOWN TO YOU?
FOR YOUR INFORMATION: The stock market is doing BETTER THAN EVER, AND YET, YOU COMPLAINT ABOUT not having jobs. RICH PEOPLE WILL NEVER HIRE ANYBODY IF THEY CAN AVOID IT. You will have to rebuild your home is you get hit by disaster, because the Republicans want to dismantle all the agencies that give protection to folks: FEMA, and the EPA..Or DO YOU THINK THAT THAT STUFF JUST HAPPENS TO "others"?????????
@Jerry, I used to get that drunk on the weekend, I had to turn it down. 300 electoral votes?? LOL. Romney and his sidekick are looking like beggars now..........
You liberals really are out of touch... seriously.... wait till this NEWS hits the mainstream media... Oh and it will........ you boy might get re-elected but it won't last long till you're stuck with Biden!....
I believe President Obama will win on Tuesday. The tragedy is that there are probably 47% that believe Mitt Romney's lies.. Or do they just hate their President more than they love their country? Each individual must look into their own heart for that answer.
God Bless America....vote!!
Laurence Vickery -- You keep up the faith. I remember the aftermath in 2008. The stunned silence from the rightwing for a few months was glorious.
But the sad FACT is Romney is the nominee because the Republican field in the primary was so pitiful -- he shouldn't even be as close as he is in polls. Even if we were in a depression, Romney should be behind by double digits he so NOT ready for prime time. It is only due to FAUX Noise/the rightwing propaganda machine and low-information voters that he is doing as well as he is.
Krestov -- Good post. Too bad Obamacare couldn't go into full effect immediately. If it had, we wouldn't even be having conversations about polls or his reelection -- It would be in the bag for him.
Barack...hiding his agenda for second term...

Post-Katrina Work Marred by Waste and Corruption
The government awarded 70 percent of its contracts for Hurricane Katrina work without full competition, wasting hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars in the process, according to a House of Representatives study released by Democrats. The report, a comprehensive overview of government audits on Katrina contracting, found that out of $10.6 billion in contracts awarded by June 2006, more than $7.4 billion were handed out with limited or no competitive bid.
This is the problem with FEMA. In many cases contractors charge 3 to 5 times what other contractors could do the job for. This is BIG business and it lines the pockets of the top 1%. Isn't that corruption??? It is in my book! So don't tell me that they have to give up anything. They need to make bids fair and competitive so that money saved can be spent on education and other social services!
Dream on Fiesty TARD... O is way behind with everyone including independents...women and minorities..
This will be a landslide for Romney...
O has absolutely NO character.. no foreign policy.. and everyone is jumping ship... blue states are up for grabs and he will win PA and MN.... too.... HAHAHAHA
Obama... leaving American's behind... in the economy, in hurricane sandy, in Benghazi.. What a complete loser!!!!
Just think... 3 supreme court justices to be nominated by President Romney!! :)
The saddest part about Mitt, Faux News & the Rush Limbaugh types is that nightly, Comedy Central calls out every one of their lies. Jon Stewart doesn't call it Bullsh%t Mountain for nothing. When you are discredited nightly by comedians and you can't handle it? Please just go away!
On my facebook feed. My RWNJ friends keep posting Mitt Romney crap. The best part though are the replies on Romney's page. 75% of the responses are pro Obama - anti Romney ... My Barack Obama facebook feed is 90% pro Obama.
Can't wait until November 7th. That's the day Faux & Friends begin Campaign 2016. While the rest of America moves on. For the next 1300 straight days our RWNJ's will be once again be dragged through the coals of misinformed blah blah blah. These people are soooo stupid. They can't even change the channel.
Fact: Did you know? People who watch NO News are more informed than people who watch Fox News.
Comedy Central Rules! Obama 2012.
Let the exploding heads begin to explode.
IRESPOND, tell us how you really feel - LOL I'm on your side.
You liberals really are out of touch... seriously.... wait till this NEWS hits the mainstream media... Oh and it will........ you boy might get re-elected but it won't last long till you're stuck with Biden!....
Joseph Boell. Is that a THREAT against the PRESIDENT? You should be arrested..

Are you drunk today Fiesty?
Whatever the outcome on Tuesday, roughly 50% of the country will not be happy with who won. Also, as long as there is no majority in congress, nothing will get done the next four years anyway. This nation is dysfunctionally fragmented to a point of hopelessness.
My wife and I are still UNDECIDED ABOUT WHO TO VOTE FOR . .
We were almost swayed by that ad by Mr. Peterffy until we heard HE WAS RICH!!! How dare he make a fortune off the backs of Americans to take back to Socialist Hungary?? Obama should STRIP HIM OF ALL HIS ASSETS, TAX HIM AT 1000% for being Successful!!

Please read this and pass on to anyone who may be enlightened by reading it. Read what a white reporter wrote in a Georgia newspaper.
Andrew M. Manis is associate professor of history at Macon State College in Georgia and wrote this for an editorial in the Macon Telegraph.
Andrew M. Manis: When Are WE Going to Get Over It?
For much of the last forty years, ever since America "fixed" its race problem in the Civil Rights and Voting Rights Acts, we white people have been impatient with African Americans who continued to blame race for their difficulties. Often we have heard whites ask, "When are African Americans finally going to get over it?
Now I want to ask: "When are we White Americans going to get over our ridiculous obsession with skin color?
Recent reports that "Election Spurs Hundreds' of Race Threats, Crimes" should frighten and infuriate every one of us. Having grown up in "Bombingham," Alabama in the 1960s, I remember overhearing an avalanche of comments about what many white classmates and their parents wanted to do to John and Bobby Kennedy and Martin Luther King.
Eventually, as you may recall, in all three cases, someone decided to do more than "talk the talk."
Since our recent presidential election, to our eternal shame we are once again hearing the same reprehensible talk I remember from my boyhood.
We white people have controlled political life in the disunited colonies and United States for some 400 years on this continent.
Conservative whites have been in power 28 of the last 40 years. Even during the eight Clinton years, conservatives in Congress blocked most of his agenda and pulled him to the right. Yet never in that period did I read any headlines suggesting that anyone was calling for the assassinations of presidents Nixon, Ford, Reagan, or either of the Bushes. Criticize them, yes.
Call for their impeachment, perhaps. But there were no bounties on their heads. And even when someone did try to kill Ronald Reagan, the perpetrator was non-political mental case who wanted merely to impress Jody Foster.
But elect a liberal who happens to be Black and we're back in the sixties again. At this point in our history, we should be proud that we've proven what conservatives are always saying -- that in America anything is possible, EVEN electing a black man as president.
But instead we now hear that school children from Maine to California are talking about wanting to "assassinate Obama."
Fighting the urge to throw up, I can only ask, "How long?"
How long before we white people realize we can't make our nation, much less the whole world, look like us?
How long until we white people can - once and for all - get over this hell-conceived preoccupation with skin color?
How long until we white people get over the demonic conviction that white skin makes us superior?
How long before we white people get over our bitter resentments about being demoted to the status of equality with non-whites?
How long before we get over our expectations that we should be at the head of the line merely because of our white skin?
How long until we white people end our silence and call out our peers when they share the latest racist jokes in the privacy of our white-only conversations?
I believe in free speech, but how long until we white people start making racist loudmouths as socially uncomfortable as we do flag burners?
How long until we white people will stop insisting that blacks exercise personal responsibility, build strong families, educate themselves enough to edit the Harvard Law Review, and work hard enough to become President of the United States, only to threaten to assassinate them when they do?
How long before we start "living out the true meaning" of our creeds, both civil and religious, that all men and women are created equal and that "red and yellow, black and white" all are precious in God's sight?
Until this past November 4, I didn't believe this country would ever elect an African American to the presidency. I still don't believe I'll live long enough to see us white people get over our racism problem.
But here's my three-point plan:
First, everyday that Barack Obama lives in the White House that Black Slaves Built, I'm going to pray that God (and the Secret Service) will protect him and his family from us white people.
Second, I'm going to report to the FBI any white person I overhear saying, in seriousness or in jest, anything of a threatening nature about President Obama.
Third, I'm going to pray to live long enough to see America surprise the world once again, when white people can "in spirit and in truth" sing of our damnable color prejudice,
"We HAVE overcome."
@Feisty Redhead Roselle, IL
There is also no comparison between the Governor of a state like Ma. and a Senator that votes present most times and then spends the next four years on the job training as POTUS. Everybody laughed at Clint Eastwood, but he had it right. If someone can't do the job you have to let him go. Times up Obama.
And if I were you Feisty I wouldn't bet my house on it. It's gonna be a cold winter. You don't want to be sleeping outside.
@SeeJames . . Ma'am, you seem to have a problem with "the Skin You Are In"
While you are welcome to wallow in the past and your shame, the rest of the World will continue to LOOK FORWARD and MOVE ON.
Don't project your inability to escape the narrow confines of race onto the rest of us. The world comes in all colors and skin tones. Maybe you should get out and see a few!!!
BOZOhussen is so full of ..IT that biden has to follow him around with Charmin, wiping his checks!& chin!!
Lets talk about "REVENGE" The American People want Congress back from the TeaReTards in the House and put back in the Dem's Hands for a Better America !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How can Romney be running for President of the United States of America when he didn't pay Taxes from 1996 to 2009, this is beyond Crazy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stop sucking all the oxygen out of the air with your GOPee Wee Herman, "I know you are but what am I?" doom and gloom lack of logic.
The election will only be a problem if Romney wins under similar conditions as 2000, or even 2004. This time the Left is not going to let it go uncontested. What is dysfunctional the most is our election system -- Start with this and taking money out of it, and the rest gets fixed too.
The best case scenario is President Obama is reelected, and the Dems keep all their Senate seats (McCaskill, Sherrod Brown, etc.) plus pick up Richard Lugar's seat with Donnelly, win back the Massachusetts seat with Elisabeth Warren, and pick up Kyl's seat in Arizona with Carmona. Donnelly, Warren, and Carmona are ALL superior candidates to the Republicans.
The Dems are unlikely to win back the majority in the House, however we should be rid of a bunch of crazies like Joe Walsh, Michele Bachmann, and Allen West in the House as a good start to recovering sanity. The message sent, as well as diminished Teabagger numbers will force these crazies to stop protesting and start governing on behalf of the People.
And not a moment too soon, since the "financial cliff" will be the first thing faced by Congress after the election. After Teabaggers ruined our credit rating trying to hold the nation hostage, who would want Teabaggers in power again now?
The power of up-the-ballot in these cases for the reelection of President Obama is not being given enough attention. A lot more Dems are likely to vote this year in a state like Arizona to get rid of Arpaio the Birther as well as support for Carmona -- And women are definitely breaking in favor of the president, even Mormon Republican women who don't like the War on Women.
Who knows about Seniors, but they should be pretty mad about privatizing Medicare and slashing Medicaid, as well as having their votes suppressed by Republicans.
Romney wants to help the Storm Victims by dumping FEMA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So mind boggling that the right wing lemmings will vote for Weasel RobMe. A CONman with NO MORAL COMPASS. A cold, callous, conniving man who is in this presidential race for his OWN SELFISH reasons. He has HAVE everything he wants, he just want to add the POTUS title to his massive portfolio AND to protect his massive wealth.
AND YES - IT IS A FACT THAT MITT DID NOT PAY TAXES FROM 1996-2009!
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/11/04/1155381/-Breaking-Romney-Paid-Zero-Taxes-From-1996-To-2009
What the right wing lemmings here do NOT UNDERSTAND is that RobMe has cut a deal with his massive donors, such as Adelson. IT'S NOT EXACTLY A DONATION - IT IS AN INVESTMENT, PEOPLE!! The greedy rich do not like parting with their money UNLESS there is something in return!!!
God help us if Weasel RobMe makes it to the W.H. You all will be in for a RUDE AWAKENING for voting against your best interest, because we will end up with an Oligarchy of the Plutocrats!!
Feisty Redhead, it is correct to call the President Mr. Obama. That is a respectful title for him. It is like Colin Powell would be correctly referred to as General Powell, Secretary Powell or Mr. Powell. Generally the highest rank is the title to be used but there is no hard and set rule on this. The media also often uses one's surname without the Mr. or Ms. in front of it and that is acceptable for them to do that.
LOL.

Fiesty finally got it right....you Can't stick a fork in him.
Her comments, as well as other Obama "die hards," reflect their concern for their Chief.
Also, many daily pro Obama bloggers are "missing in action."
Reality is replacing the BS and the "grandstanding" in NJ is "backfiring."
I got my every 4 year robocall from the NRA wanting me to vote for a Republican for president. Yea right! Romney has a horrible voting record on guns when he was governor, and they want me to vote for him? It's always vote for the Republican. Now why? Because they are backed by the wealthy, thats why. Romney voted for brady bill, voted for assult weapons ban. He doesn't even know which end of a gun you put in your shoulder.
Vote Obama/Biden 2012
Here's the trickle-down we've seen- the Rebublicans give big tax cuts and advantages to the millionaires and billionaires. They de-regulate banks, and other lending corporations as well as other multi-million dollar corporations to leverage for them much higher profits at the expense of the now-struggling middle class.
What did the millionaires and billionaires do with their money they accrued through these advantages? Did these "job creators" create jobs? No, they hoarded their millions and billions so that they could spend it on attack ads to promote the candidate who will protect their advantages so that they can continue to hoard more money.
When Barack Obama took office, America was hemorrhaging 500,000+ jobs per month. Within six months of his taking office, the job loss slowed to less than 100,000, and by the end of the year jobs were increasing. NOT, btw, by the so-called "job-creators", but by US, the MIDDLE CLASS small businesses. Private sector jobs, as well. Government jobs have decreased, therefore reducing government spending and reducing the size of the government, a frequently lamented peeve of the Rebublicans. They should be thrilled, yet they still complain.
President Obama saved the auto industry- 50,000 direct jobs, one million more jobs tangential to the American automakers industry.
Obamacare- the NUMBER ONE REASON FOR THE FLOOD OF BANKRUPTCIES WAS A CATASTROPHIC ILLNESS IN THE FAMILY FOR WHICH THERE WAS NO HEALTH COVERAGE. Familes lost their homes going bankrupt trying to save the life of a family member. Children were dying because, if their parents changed jobs, the new insurage provider refused to cover pre-existing conditions. Young people between the ages of 18-26 who formerly had no health insurance are now covered under their parents' policies. My best friend lost her daughter to a highly treatable form of cancer because she, at 23 years old, had no health insurance from her employer. If Obamacare had been enacted ONE YEAR EARLIER she would be alive today.
President Obama doubled college funding for students, expanded the GI bill college funds for returning vets, and funded job re-training so that the unemployed can train for the many jobs that actually are available, but for which unemployed people are not qualified.
Credit card reform- if you pay one card one day late, your other credit card banks can no longer sky rocket your interest rates. Your credit card lender can no longer charge you a minimum payment that will actually leave you over-the-limit so they can charge a big, fat over-the-limit fee. Your bank can no longer re-order the sequence in which your checks cleared in a day so that they can hit you with a number of $35 return fees rather than the one fee for the one check you may have accidently not covered by a mere $1,2, or $3.
Lilly Ledbetter- everyone gets paid the same for equal work.
President Obama enacted much higher fuel efficiency standards that not only will reduce carbon emissions to slow climate change, but will reduce our dependency on oil, another peeve of Republicans, yet, of course, they still complain.
President Obama is getting us out of Afghanistan, the war made-up by the Republicans. He's reducing military spending by making the military more efficient. The war in Afghanistan alone cost $300,000,000 PER DAY.
President Obama had the cujones to go after Osama-Bin-Ladin like a lion after a warthog, until Osama-Bin-Ladin was killed, so he is never, ever to attack any American anywhere in the world, much less on our own soil. Romney stated it wasn't worth the effort. Apparently, it is much more productive to spend one's time protecting the profits of billionaires bilking the American middle class.
President Obama cut taxes for middle class families. Inaddition, he cut taxes for us, the small businesses across America, so that we can continue to employ our staff in some of our cases, and create jobs for new staff in other cases.
All of this DESPITE the obstructionism of the Republicans.
There is a lot of work left to be done. The Republicans have stated their objective over the last four years and it was NOT to create jobs, protect and promote the health of the avarage American, support higher education, provide fair work and pay practices for women, prevent unfair banking practices that prey on the middle class in order to further line the pockets of the already-filthy-rich, reduce oil dependency and give EVERYONE a fair shake and a leg up.
The Republican objective has been to GET OBAMA OUT OF OFFICE, no matter what the cost to the country. Since this will be President Obama's last term in office, making their one driving objective now moot, perhaps they can now focus on the GOOD OF THE COUNTRY, and be motivated to actually REACH ACROSS THE AISLE and vote for a jobs bill, vote to increase taxes for the filthy-rich, vote for education, vote for clean energy, vote to make the military more efficient and therefore less expensive, vote to repair and improve infrastructure. Maybe they can even get out of womens' health- we don't direct theirs.
One can only hope. But, if they don't, President Obama will get it done anyway, just like he has for the last four years.
Romney will be so pissed when he loses. He'll go back to being CEO of Bain. Bain owns Clear Channel and their 900 radio stations so Romney will be able to vent his frustration by ramping up the anti Democrat rhetoric. I doubt the Republicans will give him another kick at the can, but rest assured, he will have fun playing kingmaker behind the scenes. I wonder what other companies he will buy to try and swing the vote to the republicans in 2016?
I see all the GOPs here, screaming POLL BIAS and other such nonsense.
Look. If you all on the RIGHT are convinced that your Magic Underwear Cultist is going to win the election, then why are you here belly-aching, pissing and moaning?
Go to sleep, chill out, and get ready for Tuesday night! If you're convinced that your Cult Member is going to win, why are you so angry and pissy all the time? Get over it!
How fitting it would be for Barack to be stuck in prison with Hillary for many years to talk about the "old days"
He put her on the road for 4 years and to be stuck with her....Hillary-ious
Corruption 101.....The Obama Administration excelled in this
Heh heh heh last check- Romney's in the lead, sweating are we lil' piggies?
Why did Obama vote present so many times? Did not want a record to discuss? The reality of this election is that there is likely to be NO mandate. Do you really want four more years where nothing gets done, things happen by default.? -although I want Romney, the numbers may be difficult. That does not mean the country wants Obama . He will not have a madate and there will be more difficulty in getting the country to really solve problems. Obama only knows tax and spend. Since we cannot pay down the debt on the backs of the one percent, how will we do that? I suspect it will be similar to the idiot O'Malley who has now raised taxes on those making more than $100,000 which in the very high priced state of Maryland is NOT a lot. He will be coming for you. The only alternative is to let us go bankrupt.
I read the President's economic plan for the next four years. The Plan is devoid of detail to include budget. It appears to be primarily a wish list. It seems that the President wants the federal government to spend a lot of money that it does not have to train math and science teacher's to teach vocational classes at the JC level for jobs that do not really exist in this country. Foreign manufacturers are paying their workers roughly a tenth of the minimum that our workers require and that is why they can always beat domestic manufactures on price. Neither candidate seems to have a solution for this problem. It is our huge trade deficit that is degrading efforts to revive the economy by injecting more money.
In many states, state colleges and universities are having to raise tuition to make ends meet because of tighter state budgets. The President wants to withdrew federal funding from these schools so that they either have to raise tuition even more or close down facilities. The President thinks that this effort will help improve the quality of education in America.
The President is expecting to pass his increased taxes on the "Rich". He has been trying to do that for the past four years but he somehow thinks the can prevail in the next 4 years. This tax will at best take 100 billion dollars per year from the private sector and put it into the public sector. The President promised that the 2012 federal deficit would not exceed 229.27 billion dollars yet the actual deficit exceeded 1.1 trillion dollars so his efforts to date to cut the deficit have been less than successful. He is proposing more spending and unspecified cuts and which has been provided it is impossible that any actually deficit reduction will take place. So I am looking at a nominal annual deficit of 1 trillion dollars assuming the increased taxes on the "rich" passes.
At the heart of the President's plan is the idea of bringing the troops home in 2014 and with the savings use half of it to start paying down our debt and use the other half for infrastructure improvements. To start paying down the debt the federal government has to run a surplus. To run a surplus with half of the piece dividend, the federal government will have to realize a savings of more than 2 trillion dollars per year from bringing the troops home. That amount is more than twice a s much as we are paying for defense including all overseas operations. The President's plan is mathematically impossible. Mathematically impossible plans are at the least less than viable. The President's plan is an example of fantasy economics.
My biggest concern is all the debt that our federal government has been accumulating. With a debt or more than 16 trillion dollars and huge deficits predicted for at least another decade, I estimate that the money that the federal government is borrowing today will end up costing the tax payers more than 10 times the amount borrowed to repay over the next 180 years. Paying 10 times the going rate for goods and services is not good management. The President has yet to present a detailed plan for repaying the debt. The tax payers have a right to know how much all of this federal borrowing to going to end up costing them.
Will,
If Republicans had been concerned about the debt, the money that went out in the Bush tax cuts would have gone to pay down the debt instead.
Bob, weird that you are waiting till Tuesday to hear what you already know, Romney has a BIG "L" on his forehead. Oh and it doesn't stand for Lucky either.
President Obama heads into election day with the Pew Research Center projecting a 50% to 47% margin for the president over Romney.
I find it interesting (and somewhat odd) that while polling generally indicates a very close race Silver's all the way up to 85% for O. For his sake I hope D+ oversampling doesn't come back to bite him in the butt.
GIGO anyone?
Ed, Thank you for reading my post and commenting. I agree with the President that the huge deficits posted by the Bush administration were less than good. I had hope that the President would have been the fiscal conservative that he campaigned but he changed. From his past speeches who would have guessed that he would post deficits greater than three times those of the Bush administration. With a debt of more than 16 trillion dollars and huge deficits predicted for at least another decade, I estimate that the money that the federal government is now borrowing will end up costing the tax payers 10 times the amount borrowed to repay over the next 180 years. As the debt grows so will the multiplication factor. The idea of bolstering the economy by injecting more money has not worked during the Bush administration and it has not worked during the Obama administration. The apparent culprit is our huge trade deficit.
@Fils d'Artemis: Think of it this way. If Obama was winning by 75% to 25%, would you say he had a 75% chance of winning? No way! It'd be more like 100%, because there is little chance he could lose that lead. Similarly, the fact that polls - not just from NBC, or some other "biased" source, but almost ALL polls - continually put him ahead by about 3% in all battlegrounds, this should indicate that unless 3% of the population in those states changes their mind all for Romney in the next 24 hours, or unless a hell of a lot of Obama supporters (who checked "Likely to vote") for some reason don't, then the chances are slim that Romney pulls it out, despite how slim the lead is. Just like your favorite team winning by 1, a win is a win, and in all the crucial states, Obama is "up by 1", and there's hardly any time left on the clock.
I just watched an interview on PBS, with the writers of this book;Winner-Take-All Politics: How Washington Made the Rich Richer--and Turned Its Back on the Middle Class is a book by political scientists Jacob S. Hacker and Paul Pierson. In it the authors argue that contrary to conventional wisdom, the dramatic increase in inequality of income in the United States since 1978—the richest 1% gaining 256% after inflation while the income of the lower earning 80% grew only 20%[1]—is not the natural/inevitable result of increased competition from globalization, but of the work of political forces.[2] Those at the very top of the economic ladder have developed and used political muscle to dramatically cut their taxes, deregulate the financial industry, keep corporate governance lax and labor unions hamstrung.[3] Instead of a rising tide lifting all boats, the authors write, "yachts are rising, but dinghies are largely staying put" in America, and "there is reason to suspect that the dinghies are staying put in part because the yachts are rising."[4].
We knew it, they've proven it! Big business needs to be cut off!!
It must be depressing for Democrats , liberals and Obama worshipers to see Obama's numbers sinking. NBC polls is giving Obama 48 % , Romney 47 % in a poll oversampling Democrats to levels of 2008 election. Independents favor Romney, and the war on woman do not work having Obama and Romney 50 % . The enthusiasm among Democrats is lower among Democrats but is higher among Republicans. Obama is working hard in states like Wisconsin that he won in big margin in 2008 The campaigner in chief start his journey for reelection four years ago, spend millions attacking Republicans, leading a partisan congress to damage the image of the whole Republican party, calling "enemies" , the party of no, and blaming them for all his failures, later attacking Romney with lies, creating a false image , continuing negative campaign and calling for "revenge " to his supporters ,he hardly get 1 % over his opponent. For Obama his failure to delivery his promises to bring the economy back on track, create more jobs, reduce the deficit, bring solutions to the illegal immigration and countless more failures including the latest Bengazhi cover up are his own enemy.
Ronmey 45 , 44 gone.
Massachusettz: You must have missed my second sentence. Almost *all* of the polls, especially the ones that sported the worst results in 2008, are routinely showing D+ oversampling. Hell, the CNN poll today showed a dead heat overall with Romney showing a double-digit lead among independents. Given that, it defies logic to believe that the president has a 85% chance of winning. I'll forever hold a flower for Nate because of our shared love of baseball, but I'm convinced he's wrong here.
p.s. I don't say this lightly, nor is it a completely unqualified opinion. Two-thirds of what I do for my weekly scrip involves statistical analysis and data handling.
Seventeen reasons for not voting for Barack Hussein Obama.
1. 23 million unemployed
2. 43 straight month's of 8+% unemployment.
3. 45 million on food stamps
4. Black poverty at record highs.
5. Gas prices have doubled.
6. Black youth unemployment over 50%.
7. Hispanic unemployment at 10.3%.
8. Illegals set to receive $7 billion.
9. Food prices up more than 25%.
10. Middle class has lost more than 1/3 of net worth.
11. Worst job creation record since 1945.
12. Worst economic recovery in 75 years.
13. Average household income declined $4300.
14. Health insurance increases more than $1500 under Obama.
15. Only president to have US credit downgrade (twice).
16. Over 100 million people on some form of means tested welfare.
17. $6 trillion added to our debt; More than ALL presidents combined.
No, this is our problem with our current system that insists on giving contracts to private business. By its very nature, the idea is flawed. It is only worthwhile collecting together services in another industry if you can get efficiency of scale and therefore provide the service cheaper than any single smaller entity can manage to get.
This doesn't work for the Federal government, which already has the scale internally. It's just a giveaway and a waste of taxpayer money. There is NO way private industry can do it better.
The inept obama hasn't got a chance!. You dems better get a ins. policy that covers mental health as you will all need a straight-jacket on Tuesday when Romney kicks the dog poop out of obama....ROMNEY/RYAN 2012-2020
>>> LIVING PROOF
President Obama, Governor Christie, Mayor Bloomberg, Mayor Booker, and a cast of millions, have demonstrated that the October Surprise, was US.
President Barack Hussein Obama, Commander-in-Chief 2012
You & US
President Obama inherited a debt of $10.6 trillion when he took office. Ending the war in Afghanistan will save $1.4 trillion per year. Add to that the $400,000,000 added per year with a modest tax increase on the top 1% of Americans, who are accruing FORTY PERCENT PER YEAR of the wealth in America and we will see the $16 trillion debt, MORE THAN HALF OF WHICH WAS INCURRED DURING THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION, will be paid in less than a decade. This EVEN WITHOUT THE JOBS continued to be added under the Obama policies.
Unemployment continues to decline DESPITE the obstructionism of the Republican party (this is not to say all Republican citizens are obstructionist). As jobs CONTINUE TO BE ADDED under the Obama administration, the debt will decrease at an accelerated rate because jobs added = increased revenue = decreased debt. With the growth in the economy, the deficit will be paid even more rapidly. And the economy IS GROWING.
It all boils down to a growing economy. Any economist worth his salt says there will be no recovery without debt. Much in the same way most people own a home by first going into debt with a mortgage, the economy requires a cushion of borrowing to increase, support, and sustain job growth. Any small business owner/operator uses periodic loans to grow her/his business. Same psinciple. E.g. TVA.
@Massachusettz- Are you not sick of Romney calling Massachusetts his "(my) state"? He's no more Massachusetts than George Steinbrenner is. Besides, he destroyed the state when he was govenor.
From today's NY Times:
Is that what we'd vote for, America?
No more Bush doctrine.
Obama/Biden 2012
Every time I see someone on here ranting about the polls "oversampling" Democrats, I know for certain that they don't understand statistics.
Nate Silver does a lot better job of explaining math to this crowd than I do, so:
Poll Averages Have No History of Consistent Partisan Bias
For more details and analysis of why this is true, read the article.
Obama's REVENGE statement shows his hardened heart toward a large portion of America. He is the biggest partisan bully in the history of America! His REVENGE comment would even apply to Republican Chris Christie! Obama didn't even wait for Jersey's lights to go on, before throwing a sucker punch. Deplorable.
Romney/Ryan with Chris Christie for a Strong "United" non-bullying USofA
kkwilson - You lie!
Here are just two rebuttals of your remarks:
From FactCheck.org:
And from the NY Times:
I don't think Chris Christie is "with" Romney, Independent.
Last I saw of him, he was with Obama.
To all those who don't like the word "revenge".
Al Gore won the 2000 election by over half a million votes.
But because the GOP was so scummy they stole the election, this country had to suffer through Iraq, Afghanistan, Abu Ghraib, 9/11, the total annihilation of America's values of truth and justice, and the greatest economic collapse this country has seen since the Great Depression.
Frankly, I think "revenge" in this election is too mild a remedy.
Call it "poetic justice" or "taking our country back" if that suits your vernacular better. Either way, the fat lady is singing.
REAL:
He was the teaching Obama bipartisanship, too bad Obama failed. REVENGE?
Nice try though...
Romney/Ryan 2012
Real:
It is that mentality that will be the demise of your party. The fact that you justify his use of a disgusting word as the President of all citizens in this nation, is flat sickening.
And yet, with a typical, justification response, of tit for tat, I see you aren't a leader either.
Romney/Ryan for a Strong America
To those, who are to blind to see, too death to hear, or too manipulative with the facts:
Romney is nothing more than a salesman, who's great with repackaging the old Bush ideas that never worked. He panders to the less educated folks, who can't see through the political fog that changes with each campaign stop. Yet, these same people are too quick to parrot the lies/ myths as fast as the stories change on a daily basis. Short term memories of their parties failures keeps them from recalling recent earlier events. How many of these folks do research on their own to verify the candidates policies and philosophies rather than relying on ads or campaign talks? They'd rather stick with a party of extremist, controlling ideas coming from the greedy, wealthy elitists rather than to think on their own. The blind mice ceremoniously follow the "pied piper" when the outcome polices of Romney/Ryan will hurt this Nation the most.
Have you noticed that since Ryan's bad interview and display of temper on National TV (when Ryan thought the microphone was turned off), that they've kept him in the closet for any type of interviews. Romney, too, has shown his running prowess from reporters on the question of eliminating F.E.M.A. for all National Disasters. The Romney/Ryan idea is to privatize F.E.M.A. over to each State for handling on their own without Federal Aid when all the States are struggling just to meet the annual budget without disasters. With Republicans, their self-serving policies consists of eliminating and outsourcing for their own increase of profits. For the past 4 years, the Republicans have done the following: obstructed 100% of any Obama/Democrat Bills; held our Country hostage with the credit rating/ budget approval; made voter's suppression laws; expressed strong desires to place all the cutbacks on the middle class, elderly, and poor social entitlements (which they paid into) while increasing those tax cuts for the wealthy elite, who need the money (to hire more workers which they did not do); want to expand the Military with money that the U.S. does not have. With the wealthy tax cuts and expanded Military, etc., how does Romney/Ryan expect to balance the budget, or lower the deficit without raising the middle class, elderly, and poor taxes????? Of course, there have been no answers from them as is with everything else on their policies of change that sound just like Bush's previous policies. Notice, too, how the Romney/Ryan staff has many of Bush's old staff members running their campaigns in spite of their protests that they are different from Bush. When you can't believe anything that flip-flopping Romney with amnesia says now, what makes anyone think that he'll be different if elected??? Think twice before voting!! Unless wealthy, your life, job, and healthcare will depend on the choice you make.
Who would ever have thought that our October Surprise would be Gov. Chris Christi, a Republican, who knows how to work with a Democrat, and doesn't appear too bigoted to say: "Pres. Obama has done a good job, worked hard, stayed in contact all the time, and gave up campaigning to come to their aid". Obama places his Country comes first with self-serving needs last. And where was Romney? Why he stayed safe campaigning in Ohio and still has yet to visit the disaster areas. Now, doesn't that sound just like Bush, who didn't visit Louisiana until two weeks after Katrina?
Obama is Pro Choice, while Romney is Multiple Choice (one for each personality) !!!
So, Which Man Is BEST for ALL AMERICANS ??? IT’S YOUR CHOICE!!
1.) One, who practices true Christianity with concern and compassion for all; or one, who cares for the 2% and to Hell with the 47%
2.) One, who demonstrates clarity and calmness; or one, who uses “FEAR TACTICS” to create confusion?
3.) One that demonstrates morality and integrity; or one that demonstrates greed and concerns for the 2% wealthy elite while expressing that he doesn’t care about the 47%?
4.) One that shows respect the women and provide them with their choice of appropriate healthcare; or one that backs a candidate (Murdock), who claims RAPE and PREGNACY are "GOD’S INTENTION" as-well-as a "GIFT FROM GOD", or one (Akin), who wants to legitimize (Akin) the rape of women and children?
5.) One, who clearly DOES NOT suffer from amnesia; or a CHAMELEON with changing colors on the hour by the hour depending on where he is and telling them what they want to hear in order to get their votes?
6.) One, who puts a NATIONAL DISASTER FIRST and CAMPAIGNING LAST as-well-as visiting the areas of calamity; or one lacking in personal character, whose main concern was to campaign in Ohio (a critical electoral State) on Tues. (as the storm still continues to wreak havoc) while doing this under the guise of helping the victims with the planned opportunity for a “POLITICAL PHOTO OP” as he packs a few boxes which the Red Cross has expressed donations be given in the form of money, since they know what is actually needed and can get it there faster?
7.) One, who has visited the storm area immediately; or one, who is too busy campaigning on the trail, and has yet to visit the disaster area?
8.) One, who demonstrates CHARACTER, HONESTY, and CONCERN for ALL; or one, who doesn’t care about the 47%, too busy attending expensive fund raising dinner events, and refuses to show his tax reports (when other candidates--to include Obama-- who has shown 10 or more tax reports)?
9.) One, who encourages investing in America; or one, with off shore accounts, and as the acting President for the Board of Trustees and Investment Member is currently sending a company, Asentia (not sure of spelling), overseas to China for sweat-shop wages (less than $1.00 per hr.)?
10.) One, who wants realistic benefits; or one, who wants to eliminate all entitlements, and replace some with vouchers to invest in often very unstable stock markets. If you lose with the investment, there goes your healthcare, because it’s your loss?
11.) One, who wants to reform the taxes, eliminate the loopholes, and make the wealthy elite pay more of their fair share of taxes; or one, who wants the wealthy to have even bigger tax breaks , because they need the money to hire workers, which they have not done during the Great Recession, but do have billions to spend on Campaign Ads ?
12. One , who believes in the right to vote; or one who condones Voters Suppression?
13. One, who believes in transparency and truth; or one, who continually runs away from the press by hiding or ignoring their questions presented 31 times?
14.) One, who realizes that the private sector cannot handle major catastrophes, and allows the Govt. to step in with aid; or one, who wants to privatize everything (so his companies overseas can take on the contracts for profit) and expects the private sector to handle everything on their own? (Can you just see NJ handling $50 B on their own now, or in the immediate future?)
15.) Real leadership that looks like ONE, who shows up and is out there with a National Disaster area while cutting through the “red tape” to get help moving sooner; or one, who is busy campaigning in Swing States while using the storm (during the storm) as a “Photo Op Event” under the guise of a “Disaster Relief Event” with canned goods when the Red Cross asked for cash or blood donations, since they know what is needed?
16.) Someone, who lives in this universe; or someone, who lives in a parallel universe with a gold self-serving spoon in his mouth?
17.) one, who realistically tries to provide the help where needed; or one, who professes, “YOU CAN”T PUT UP THE RICH ELITE ON THE TABLE; BUT YOU CAN PUT UP THE MEDICARE, MEDICAID, SS, and HEALTHCARE ON THE TABLE”. “Just Privatize everything with vouchers!!” ?
18.) The “OCT. SURPRISE” is one, who shows one more concern with the needs of our Country while placing campaigning last; or one, who is more concerned with his own needs by campaigning negatively in the “Swing States”, and not even visiting to take a closer look at the disaster areas??
19.) One who tries stabilize and to bring our Country together; or one, who "Flip-flops" hourly as Mitt does, which doesn’t help to stabilize our Country in hard economic times of distress, etc.?
20.) One who cares about our Vets; or one, who never mentioned the Vets in the 3 debates/campaigns, and whose V.P. voted the against the recent Vet Bill to help them find jobs, etc.
Be sure to get out and vote on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 in spite of the hardships that Ohio and Florida will experience.
Go FL and stick to your determination for the right to vote in spite of Gov. Thug Scott ( Get smart by voting Scott out when his re-election comes up the next time. Remember that he bought the last election with his own money.). Blessings to all those (in both Parties), who wait with patience while suffering the long 7, 8, and 9 hours to vote with their choice.
Vote Obama/Biden on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012 !!!
And do report immediately any discrepancies with the voting, ballots, etc. Don't let your bosses dictate as to whom you will vote elect!!!!
I made the mistake once but I AM DONE making the same mistakes over and over. I am not happy with the statue quo, eventhough many are happy, appently they don't care for the 53% of Americans plight and continuing struggles. They continue to pull the strings and outright LIE, to push buttons and play on the emotions of the majority 53% of American people. They are happy with the deficit taxpaying spending on corrupt Unions, and regulating domestic energy sources. The 47% are happy with way things are NOW! They are happy to get their Federal Gov't subsidies that go to drunks and addicts strung out on drugs that pump out babies, enviromentalist control over domestic energy resources, and wasteful spending of taxpayers money to corrupt unions. I am dillusioned by my vote for Mr Obama in 2008...Never Again! I will do more research in the future!
Years from now, historians may regard the 2008 election of Barack Obama as an inscrutable and disturbing phenomenon, the result of a baffling breed of mass hysteria akin perhaps to the witch craze of the Middle Ages. How, they will wonder, did a man so devoid of professional accomplishment beguile so many into thinking he could manage the world's largest economy, direct the world's most powerful military, execute the world's most consequential job?
Imagine a future historian examining Obama's pre-presidential life: ushered into and through the Ivy League, despite unremarkable grades and test scores along the way; a cushy non-job as a "community organizer;" a brief career as a state legislator devoid of legislative achievement (and in fact nearly devoid of his attention, so often did he vote "present"); and finally an unaccomplished single term in the United States Senate, the entirety of which was devoted to his presidential ambitions.
He left no academic legacy in academia, authored no signature legislation as a legislator. And then there is the matter of his troubling associations: the white-hating, America-loathing preacher who for decades served as Obama's "spiritual mentor"; a real-life, actual terrorist who served as Obama's colleague and political sponsor. It is easy to imagine a future historian looking at it all and asking: how on Earth was such a man elected president?
Not content to wait for history, the incomparable Norman Podhoretz addressed the question recently in the Wall Street Journal: To be sure, no white candidate who had close associations with an outspoken hater of America like Jeremiah Wright and an unrepentant terrorist like Bill Ayers, would have lasted a single day. But because Mr. Obama was black, and therefore entitled in the eyes of liberal Dom to have hung out with protesters against various American injustices, even if they were a bit extreme, he was given a pass. Let that sink in: Obama
was given a pass - held to a lower standard - because of the color of his skin.
Podhoretz continues: And in any case, what did such ancient history matter when he was also so articulate and elegant and (as he himself had said) "non-threatening," all of which gave him a fighting chance to become the first black president and thereby to lay the curse of racism to rest?
Podhoretz puts his finger, I think, on the animating pulse of the Obama phenomenon - affirmative action. Not in the legal sense, of course. But certainly in the motivating sentiment behind all affirmative action laws and regulations, which are designed primarily
to make white people, and especially white liberals, feel good about themselves.
Unfortunately, minorities often suffer so that whites can pat themselves on the back. Liberals routinely admit minorities to schools for which they are not qualified, yet take no responsibility for the inevitable poor performance and high drop-out rates which follow. Liberals don't care if these minority students fail; liberals aren't around to witness the emotional devastation and deflated self-esteem resulting from the racist policy that is affirmative action. Yes, racist. Holding someone to a separate standard merely because of the color of his skin - that's affirmative action in a nutshell, and if that isn't racism, then nothing is.
And that is what America did to Obama. True, Obama himself was never troubled by his lack of achievements, but why would he be? As many have noted, Obama was told he was good enough for Columbia despite undistinguished grades at Occidental; he was told he was good enough for the US Senate despite a mediocre record in Illinois ; he was told he was good enough to be president despite no record at all in the Senate. All his life, every step of the way, Obama was told he was good enough for the next step, in spite of ample evidence to the contrary.
What could this breed if not the sort of empty narcissism on display every time Obama speaks? In 2008, many who agreed that he lacked executive qualifications nonetheless raved about Obama's oratory skills, intellect, and cool character. Those people - conservatives included - ought now to be deeply embarrassed.
The man thinks and speaks in the hoariest of clichés, and that's when he has his Teleprompters in front of him; when the prompter is absent he can barely think or speak at all. Not one original idea has ever issued from his mouth - it's all warmed-over Marxism of the kind that has failed over and over again for 100 years.
And what about his character? Obama is constantly blaming anything and everything else for his troubles. Bush did it; it was bad luck; I inherited this mess. Remember, he wanted the job, campaigned for the task. It is embarrassing to see a president so willing to advertise
his own powerlessness, so comfortable with his own incompetence. But really, what were we to expect? The man has never been responsible for anything, so how do we expect him to act responsibly?
In short: our president is a small-minded man, with neither the temperament nor the intellect to handle his job. When you understand that, and only when you understand that, will the current erosion of liberty and prosperity make sense. It could not have gone otherwise with such a man in the Oval Office.
I have done my research this ELECTION, and the clear and just choice is Mr. Romney... God Bless this beautiful country.
My hispanic family and myself are no longer slaves, to the liberal media and politicians that play with our emotions. We are making choices with commonsense and intelligence from here on out!
Romney/Ryan 2012
Those of you regardless of Party who write the encyclopedias above are wasting your time. Your not going to change anyone's mind.
What we have is a country divided right down the middle. No matter who is elected it will not be an easy road. If Obama is re-elected we can expect exactly what we have seen in the last 2 years. If Romny is elected we will se the same type os stailmate at least for the first part of his term.
Obama crammed the healthcare bill down the republicans throats with mandates . they will not forget that EVER. after he lost the majority nothing was accomplished because of his "my way or the highway " attitude.
romney will face very similar opposition if elected fro the democratic Senate. It is a no win for America .
Independent Thought,
Just wanted to let you know I will be voting REVENGE in regards to your lies and crap in your posts! Thank you Mr. President for reminding my reason fro voting!
The media maybe trying to portray this as a close election to energize the voters, but the raw data is being heavily manipulated to do so. Every one of the recent polls are using the 2008 presidential model to adjust the raw data, and nothing supports their contention that in 2012 there will be a similar turnout. Also there is no mention of the fact that Romney has a 12 point lead over Obama among independents. So unless the turnout is exactly the same as in 2008 meaning Democrats over Republicans, and the independents don't show up, this is very likely to be a lopsided win for Romney.
Liberal morons are shaking in their boots at thought Obama could be one and done. They better start looking for a job.
Thankfully, the 'spin' stops tomorrow. I wonder what all of the 'political junkies' are going to do after the election is over - I suspect that many people will be going through 'Political Withdrawal Syndrome' (PWS) for the next few weeks. In reality though, I'm reminded of Bill Murray's "It just doesn't matter" speech from Meatballs.
Considering the wide disparity among pollsters, I can't wait to find out which were the REAL POLLSTERS, and which were the POLITICAL HACKS.
A Vote for R & R is a Empty Lunch Box, all your money will be going to the 1% !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Foolish voters help the Mega Rich get Richer, stop the 1% from buying your Democracy - wake up dude !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Obama's best choice may be suicide!
Republicans will survive if Obama wins on Tuesday.
But the Democrats have nowhere to go if Obama wins or loses.
Biden is the next champion to hang their hat on? (He's the village idiot and his party knows it). The
Democratic Party no longer has any acumen. Obama has created a substantial
displacement for the Democratic Parties leadership and the party now looks very
one dimensional in its insolent glory.
Every day young Americans are becoming more fiscally conservative
while their social choices lean liberal. Both major parties continued political
insolence only drives these young people to protect themselves. Young
Americans will sadly leave both parties if necessary for their own survival. The political
pendulum always keeps swinging!
Unfortunately many Democrats just don't get how they’ve
allowed Obama to take them so far left. The displacement Obama creates for the
Democrats destroys them even in victory. The Democrats now struggle to find
their core if Obama wins or loses. If Obama wins, the Democratic Party could be
in substantial trouble if the status quo continues another 4 years (and there
really is no light at the end of the tunnel right now). Even now Democratic
leaders are very fearful about the position Obama has put them in. Don't look
for Democratic leadership to support Obama's policies and spending habits over
the next 4 years if he wins (good luck Sandy victims). Obama won’t get any
support from Republicans either, because of the blame game he has played for
the last 4 years. He and his party are really in a pickle and the Chinese and
Western Europe aren’t going to buy down the debt either. He’s definitely a lame
duck in a lame duck term. Suicide might be his best choice. He really has nowhere to hide.

So what's your point?
This is nothing but the 'assumptions' that the pollster used to 'adjust' their poll - giving the Democrats about 20% more respondents than Republicans (31% vs 26%). If Rasmussen and Gallup are correct and there are as many (or more) likely voters who consider themselves Republicans than Democrats, the poll numbers would be very much different. And then there are the Independents, who currently seem to favor Romney.
Most surveys show that the breakdown of voters is about 33% Republicans, 33% Democrats and about 34% Independents. Since exit polls show that those who identify with a political party typically vote 90% for their party's candidate, that means that the Independents typically decide the election.
Like I said in my post #1.103 - "Considering the wide disparity among pollsters, I can't wait to find out which were the REAL POLLSTERS, and which were the POLITICAL HACKS."
ROY WILSON-336103
My point is the over sampling of Democrats. It obviously wouldnt be to show the over representation of Republicans...I didnt think it needed commentary, but I guess it did
Kornfed "ROY WILSON-336103 My point is the over sampling of Democrats."
Sorry - I obviously misinterpreted your post. I agree that most polls over-sample Democrats to 'skew' their results. Fortunately, 'The proof is in the pudding', so we will find out tomorrow.
Interestingly, since Ohio is key, and there are a lot of side issues there, we may not know the actual outcome for another week or two.
We know who is getting the blame for tomorrow's GOP loss in two of the three branches, The Bishop. Rove, Rush, and Fox already have their thesauruses out, looking up names to call Willard (ala Monte Python) after they lose. We are once again going to hear Limbaugh whine about 'carrying water' for the losers. Reminding voters of what good government can do for them after a disaster was the final push. Phoney can good drives and lying about the auto industry were terrible decisions. If you can't run a campaign properly, you can't run this nation.
An Independent Thinker:
Kudos. Well said.
Obama/Biden 2012
“Mitt Romney the GOP candidate who violated federal ethics laws will be the first Presidential candidate to be charged before an election for President.”
politicolnews.com/romney-charged-with-ethics-violations-before-the-election/#ixzz2BN9Xgiaz
And this is the man you want for president!!!!!
I belong to neither Party (including the Tea Pots)
Corporate America paid for and bought by the greedy elite!!! Stand up to them, and vote against the person of their choice! Don't let their money take away your freedom!!
Vote Obama/Biden on Nov. 6, 2012!!!
I don't understand why people wait until Election Day to vote, and most likely becoming involved with many voting problems. It's so archaic!! It's so much easier doing the voting with an absentee ballot. That way you don't have to miss work, or stand in long lines up to 6 hours, etc., etc. It wouldn't surprise me that when the Election Day is over, the people still standing in lines will be refused the right to vote, esp. with the Medicare crookster, Rick Scott in FL. How in the world did we ever come to the point where we allowed money to make our choices? Some blind (figuratively and not physically) voters just can't see the greedy, thieving, crook wannabe President from the candidate, who really cares about all the people and the job itself. Media, too, has become the evil messenger disciple with false/misleading reporting to gain their share of the profits/ratings.
If you have not voted yet, get out there to vote no matter what difficulties you may have to face. And then for the next election, make it easy to vote through absentee ballots. Refuse to allow money to buy the elections anymore. We want people in office that know what life is really like and are there for all the people while ignoring the other 47%.
The last line in Post #1.117 should read as follows:
We want people in office that know what life is really like, are there for all the people, and not just ignoring the other 47% with different party philosophies.
I would love to see someone try to intimidate me at the polls. They would find out in a hurry that you dont mess with this citizen's right to vote. I would not do anything stupid mind you. Romney's 47% number seems to be haunting him quite a bit. I dont think it is a good omen for him. Dare I say it is quite funny actually.
These so called democratic elections are nothing more than Gestapo Elections controlled by the corporate wealthy elite money and the crooked Republican, & Tea Party members. Such a huge waste of money that could have been used to hire people for jobs 4 years ago. But, oh no that wouldn't even be considered, since if it wasn't obstructing 100% of everything coming from the Democrat Party. That just shows exactly what the elite thinks of middle class and poor Americans. Those classes are the dirt beneath the fingernails of the wealthy elite and Republicans. Those classes exist to be the corporate elite slaves when they don't know how to vote intellectually, or to insure their right to vote by waiting till zero hour.
To rapidrush:
They'll just take your vote away behind your back with broken, lost, or rigged voting machines. Do you remember the chads and the Diebold voting machines (still out there in Ohio with more bought by Romney's oldest son)???? And we all know how it goes when counting the votes by hand which resulted with the evil Gestapo's in 2000 and 2004, who destroyed our country while the laying all the blame on Obama and Democrats. We don't need any more of the 2000-2008 decade with wasted fiscal spending for things they don't have the money to pay for, esp. with more wars and expanded military.
Too late for this, but I hope it makes headlines before the end of the day tomorrow.

Our President said that he would cut the deficit in half by the end of his first term. That did not work.
Our President has provided an economic "plan" for the next 4 years that is mathematically impossible. That cannot work.
I see a pattern here. Our President said that if he could not fix the economy within three year that he did not deserve a second term.
Per the AP, as of four hours ago today, Nov. 4, 2012:
COLUMBUS, Ohio — President Barack Obama enters the final hours of the 2012 campaign with an edge in the hunt for the 270 electoral votes needed to win and more ways to reach that magic number. Yet the race is remarkably close in at least six states that could go either way, giving Republican Mitt Romney hope that he can pull off a come-from-behind victory.
If the election were held now, an Associated Press analysis found that Obama would be all but assured of 249 votes, by carrying 20 states that are solidly Democratic or leaning his way — Iowa, Nevada and Pennsylvania among them — and the District of Columbia. Romney would lay claim to 206, from probable victories in 24 states that are strong Republican turf or tilt toward the GOP, including North Carolina.
Up for grabs are 83 electoral votes spread across Colorado, Florida, Ohio, New Hampshire, Virginia and Wisconsin. Of those, Republicans and Democrats alike say Obama seems in a bit better shape than Romney in Ohio and Wisconsin, while Romney appears to be performing slightly better than Obama or has pulled even in Florida and Virginia.
The AP's analysis is not meant to be predictive, but instead to provide a snapshot of a race that has been extraordinarily close from the outset. The analysis is based on interviews with more than a dozen Republican and Democratic strategists in Washington and in the most contested states; public polls; internal campaign surveys; early vote figures; spending on television advertising; candidate travel; and get-out-the-vote organizations.
Both Republicans and Democrats say Tuesday's election has tightened across the board the homestretch. Many factors are adding to the uncertainty, including early vote tallies, Election Day turnout and the impact of Superstorm Sandy in the East. There's no telling the impact of Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson, who's on the ballot in 48 states, including all the battlegrounds, or Virgil Goode, an ex-congressman from Virginia who's running on the Constitution Party ticket.
But here's perhaps the biggest issue complicating efforts to get a handle on where the race really stands: different assumptions that each party's pollsters are making about the demographic makeup of the electorate. Republicans are anticipating that the body of voters who end up casting ballots will be more like the 2004 electorate, heavily white and male. Democrats argue that 2012 voters as a whole will look more like the electorate of four years ago when record numbers of minorities and young people turned out.
The difference has meant wildly disparate polling coming from Republicans and Democrats, with each side claiming that it's measuring voter attitudes more precisely than the opposition.
Said Republican strategist Phil Musser: "The conviction with which both sides say they are on a trajectory to victory is unique."
Tuesday will determine which side is correct. For now, the gulf between the two sides' polling has made it difficult to judge which candidate is faring better in the six up-for-grabs states.
In the final hours of the campaign, national polls show a neck-and-neck race for the popular vote.
But it's the Electoral College vote that elects the president. In that state-by-state race, Obama long has had the advantage because he's started with more states — and votes — in his column, giving him more ways to cobble together the victories he needs to reach 270. Romney has had fewer states and votes, and, thus few paths — though victory remained within his reach.
Said Mo Elleithee, a Democratic strategist who specializes in Virginia: "A 1 percent shift in any demographic group in Virginia is the difference between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney being president. That's how close this election is."
Over the past month, Romney's standing in national polls improved following strong performances in the October debates, and he's strengthened his position in several states, including Colorado, Florida and Virginia.
But all three are too close to call and both Romney and Obama had final weekend campaign appearances in them, underscoring their fluidity. Romney has gained ground in North Carolina, which now is tipping his way. Obama's team has all but acknowledged that it's the weakest for the Democrat of the competitive states, and the president himself isn't visiting the state in the final stretch.
But the key for both campaigns is the Midwest, specifically Ohio. It offers 18 electoral votes and figures prominently in each strategy. That urgency was evident by the multiple visits to the state by each candidate in the final days.
Obama has enough of an edge in the electoral race that he could win the White House without carrying Ohio. But it's hard to see how Romney does so.
That assessment, and Obama's slight but stubbornly persistent edge in the state, could explain why Romney made a late-game play for Democratic-leaning Pennsylvania's 20 electoral votes. He began advertising heavily in the state last week and put a stop in Philadelphia on his Sunday schedule even though the state has voted for a Democratic presidential nominee in every election since 1988.
Democrats projected confidence about holding Pennsylvania, although Obama responded with his own ads in the state and was sending former President Bill Clinton to campaign for him there on Monday.
Not that Romney is writing off Ohio. No Republican has won the White House without winning the state, and, without it, Romney would need a near sweep of the other battleground states.
"Ohio, you're probably going to decide the next president of the United States," Romney said Friday at a plant near Columbus.
Refusing to cede ground in Ohio, Obama's campaign is flooding the state with four visits in as many days to every major media market by the president, first lady Michelle Obama, Vice President Joe Biden and Clinton. Obama planned to finish campaigning in Ohio on Monday at a Columbus rally with rocker Bruce Springsteen.
Obama's team was projecting confidence in Ohio, arguing that the renewed debate in the final weeks over the auto industry financial bailout — which Obama signed and Romney has criticized — has boosted the president at the right time while undercutting Romney. Republicans in the state don't dispute that characterization, and Obama has kept the heat on Romney over a TV ad he's running that misleadingly suggests that the auto bailout helped U.S. auto giants send jobs to China.
"This isn't a game. These are people's jobs. These are people's lives," Obama told a raucous crowd in Friday in a Columbus suburb. "You don't scare hard-working Americans just to scare up some votes."
Wisconsin, the home state of GOP vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan, also figures prominently in the calculations for both sides, but, again, is more critical for Romney, who is looking to stop Obama in the Rust Belt.
Here's why: Obama surest path to a second term cuts through both Ohio and Wisconsin, and victories in those states would give him 271 electoral votes as long as he wins all of the states that are solidly Democratic or tilting his way.
Those include:
_Iowa, where public and internal campaign polls shows Obama with an edge even though Romney has campaigned in the state a half-dozen times in the past two weeks and has spent the final hours of the campaign working to narrow Obama's edge in early voting. Both candidates were in Iowa on Saturday, and Romney was back Sunday playing hard for late-deciders his team is confident will break their way and make the difference.
Obama planned to return to the state Monday. Republicans characterized that visit as a sign of instability while Obama's team said he wanted to end his campaign in the state whose 2008 caucuses put him on the road to the presidency.
_Nevada, where Republicans and Democrats say the president has gained ground over the past few weeks, despite high unemployment and foreclosures. Obama seems to be benefiting from the state's large Hispanic voting bloc and political machinery of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.
Romney all but acknowledged the president had an edge in the states. He scrapped plans to visit the state in the final two days. Instead, he sent Ryan.

HOW ROMNEY MANAGED TO PAY NO FED TAXES FOR 12+ YEARS - LEGALLY . . .
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/11/04/1155381/-Breaking-Romney-Paid-Zero-Taxes-From-1996-To-2009."
.
Using a tax shelter called a CRUT (charitable remainder unitrust) that was held by the Church of Latter Day Saints (Mormons), Mitt Romney was able to pay zero taxes (legally) every single year from 1996 to 2009. Why did he stop in 2009? Because he would make public his 2010 tax return, that is why. This tax loophole was killed by Congress in 1997. However those including Romney that were already using it were allowed to continue it. The way it works, is that Romney makes a "charitable" contribution to the Church of Latter Day Saints and it goes into a trust. Since the trust is held by the church, the money is tax deferred. Any capital gains, are non taxed because of the charities status. Like an annuity, the donor gets a charitable tax deduction and an stream of cash payments. When Romney dies, the church accepts full ownership..
Bloomsberg's attorneys estimate as the Romneys have received these payments, the money that will potentially be left for charity has declined from at least $750,000 in 2001 to $421,203 at the end of 2011.....Romney has refused to answer any thing on this topic. His campaign puts out that it was all legal....Legal perhaps. Ethical for the president of the United States? Well, only if you want a crook running the country.... Imagine! Legally stealing from your church!.".

Interesting article. Thank you for posting it.
These POLLS are just intended to appease the Repubs after they complained about the numbers 2 weeks ago.
On the ground, Obama is beating Romney in every battleground States including and surprisingly of all place; Virginia-- they are neck to neck !!!
You will see what we are talking about in a couple of days!
Here is what's going on:
Ohio : Romney 43, Obama 48
Florida : Obama 48, Romney 47
Pennsylvannia : Romney 39, Obama 51
Virginia : Obama 47, Romney 48
Colorado : Romney 40, Obama 54
New Hampshire : Obama 49, Romney 42
Iowa : Romney 39, Obama 48
Nevada : Obama 49, Romney 43
I dont think Romney is going anywhere on Tuesday!!!
These are facts on the ground...
When Hillary retires from the job of secretary of state we need to put Bill in to take her place.
Business travels this week took me to Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania and West Virginia .....
The Romney momentum has grown tremendously across these areas....I was very surprised to see the strong support and the decisions from those who voted for President Obama in 2008 that are supporting and voting Romney/Ryan in 2012.
The consensus opinion in all I had an opportunity to speak with and areas I traveled through...we need jobs and a strong economy and the promises and hope from Obama didn't happen or get us there.
I think the polls are definitely misleading in the closeness in these states...not seeing it on ground
I heard a new term in Pittsburgh yesterday...Nov 6th would deliver a "Sunami of voters for Romney"
I find it interesting that all of the contributors are democrats. And they are sadly misinformed. I am sure that this is a ploy, or a last hope to get the republicans momentum and motivation down to suppress the republican turnout. Well that wont happen, Let Soon to be ex-President Obama he should start packing his bags. The undecided vote will all be GOP directed, and Mitt Romney will win this election. Including Ohio, and Pennsylvania. I am sure many democrats will be put on anti-depressants to help them cope with their loss. I hope you all accept the outcome with a healthy respectful mindset. There is a lot of work for this Nation to do to repair the damage that has been done. Fire up those coal run plants, mine that coal, get that oil from Federal lands and create millions of jobs. Obama NO MORE.
Half of the country IS NOT SUPPORTING MITT ROMNNEY, they are just AGAINST the President.
And Mitt ROmney is telling that the President is on "vendetta Trip" That is RICH, considering he has that dumba*** Trump bringing back the birthing issue.
Are these the a***s that you Republicans want? Is your hate for Obama so big that you want to cut YOUR OWN LEGS???
HOW IS THAT possible????? You would rather elect the people that SIGNED PLEDGES TO KEEP THE RICH PEOPLE ON TOP, INSTEAD OF WORKING FOR YOU...WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!!!
Liberal...Liar...Coward...Corrupt...No Character?
Shortly after Bill Clinton was re-elected in 1996, the news broke of his sexual encounters in the White House with Monica Lewinsky, and much of the next couple years were tied up in his lies, cover-ups and eventual confession of lying to America about his Oval office experiences with her.
The cover-up, corruption and impeachment were a black eye to our country.
It now appears with another pending election, the current President, Barack Obama, is sitting on yet another corrupt Administration and cover-up.
We don't want to spend the next two years in a very bad O-conomy with our president trying to explain misleading Americans and the continued corruption that's been coming out.
We did not respond to our Ambassador and citizens being attacked and murdered. The President stood by and did nothing.

Yea......Right!!! They said the same crap before Obama beat Mccain 53%-46% a day before the election. The results of this election are going to surprise (shock) a GOP Party. The TEA Party has hijacked this GOP Party tearing moderates away who joined Dems. Republicans and media never seem to talk about it. Pretty said that any time Obama is in a pinch, he calls on Clinton. But isn't this typical of Obama, leading from behind.
Irespond,
Do you think that you are the only one that is making those threats??
Maybe he was talking about after the election. There is a few things he needs to clear up. Like Benghazi.
Right! Bush was the b. of Dick Cheney, but you probaly missed all tha part of history, JUST LIKE ALL THE REPUBLICANS, THAT FORGET THAT GEORGE BUSH AND DICK CHENEY EXISTED. ALL OF YOU JUST WOKE UP FROM A COMA SINCE REAGAN -THAT RAISED TAXES eleven times - WAS PRESIDENT!!!!
Is Clinton running for office, again? Seems that way, Obama stands back as the crowds cheer....Clinton.
AMERICA, Don't give the Keys back to the Clowns that got us into this scary mess, let's not make another mistake like "W" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@Patriotic American U.S.A.
Instead, just compound the problem by letting Obama keep the keys and have another four years of on the job training. As for your asking how Mitt got to run for President while seemingly not paying taxes, ask Geitner and the rest of the Dem tax cheats Obama gave jobs to.
While I love Bill, Hillary is so much better! She speaks to the right for women! And the importance of the rights of Women for the lifting up of a county! China through Iran. Bill can't do it like she does. She rocks. Bill even knows this. Ask him.
KJNC
That is a half truth. The tax free annuity from the donated stocks to the Mormon fund is only part of his wealth. Mitt paid taxes on everything else.
It's simple. If you vote for Obama we add another 6 trillion to our debt and the great depression will officially begin. Four years of Obama gave us literally stagnant job growth 5 million jobs created and 5 million people left the workforce. Like it or not Keynesian policies simply don't work and it's time for some Austrian economics to save the day. Romney will bring us at least a little of that common sense in our debt spending.
What a lousy job the President has done that half the country want him fired!
The left desperately pushed for early voting because they can use it for firing up the base, but this time it is still neck and neck and just wait until the right gets out and votes on Tues! Set the DVR to watch Chris Matthews lose it. Priceless...
Chris Matthews looks like he needs an antacid ever night he is on.
America! OHIO! IOWA, FLORIDA, NEVADA, COLORADO, WISCONSIN, VIRGINIA, PENNSYLVANIA, and all the rest!
Vote for the CHILDREN, they are depending on you!!!!
Romney/Ryan with Chris Christie to work collectively for a better nation!!
R - Republicans
R - Recession the republicans brought us and will bring us more with trickle-down economics and no taxes on those who can afford them the most to pay off the HUGE recent republican war and military-spending debts and other massive debit.
R - Racist.
R - Robbery of Medicare for future seniors by privatizing it, and private insurance will again price most future seniors out of the market as before because they will not pay for all the age-related diseases and conditions. Even robbery of Social Security which is nearly adequately funded. (Repubs have proposed cutting Social Security in many ways too.)
R - Reckless - getting us into more unnecessary wars under false pretenses like Iraq. Not increasing national security at appropriate times again as before 911.
R - Ruthless - making massive cuts to Medicare and food stamps that will seriously hurt America's most vulnerable citizens (poor children, handicapped and elderly).
Couple of funny things-
Pew did a survey of the media, to ascertain which network had the most negative coverage of the candidates. The loser? Fox- just 46% of its coverage of Obama was negative.
The winner? MSNBC- fully 71% of its coverage of Romney was negative.
Make space on the shelf for the award.
Second- when describing media bias, those making the accusation are always asked for proof. Well, if the above doesn't do it for you, consider the polling in this election. . .
Every election, candidates compile a "book"- that is, the candidate's team assumption about the demographics and turn out of the election, which is then used for their own, internal polling. (often, candidates will share this polling with the media, in order to garner positive coverage).
In 1980, Pat Caddell's book was shared with the media, which dutifully used it for their own, " unbiased" polling- showing a race that was too close to call- until Reagan won in a landslide.
This year, Axelrod's book is being used to set the demographics of the polling done by media contracted polling organizations. Not surprisingly, this book shows an electorate with even more minority representation than the last election, (hence, all the media coverage of the importance of Hispanic voters, and the total lack of coverage of the importance of independent voters), a more democratic, vs. republican, electorate, and one where the enthusiasm is firmly on the side of Axelrod's candidate.
Not until last week did stories of the media's inability to predict the outcome of this election begin to surface- seems they are a little concerned about the fact that BOTH candidates are confident of victory. In normal elections, while one side projects outer confidence, it is easy to see that the team knows they have lost; it's all over but the shouting. This time? Not happening.
Now, I happen to believe that Axelrod's projections are completely off-base. His demographics project an inconceivable drop off in white voters- not merely a dilution by rising ranks of minority voters. He projects a huge increase in voting by minority voters over and above the historic highs of the last election-which is highly unlikely. Most importantly, his book presumes that evangelical voters will stay home in droves because they disapprove of Romney's religion- one of the things that will come back to bite him in Ohio, as well as North Carolina.
I firmly believe that, in the week after the election, we will be discussing how the polls were skewed- and the media will resolve to create their own demographics for all future elections, based on Census date, rather than exit polling.
That will hold for about another thirty years, when some democratic candidate puts forth a book that suits their bias.
If anyone bothered to read the raw data of all the recent polls, they would see Romney leading in most of the battleground states including Florida, Ohio, and Virginia. But because that raw data is being manipulated to conform with the 2008 presidential model for turnout Obama is shown to lead. No one, and that includes the mainstream pundits expect a similar turnout, so the polls are very skewed toward Obama. Likewise the polls indicate that Romney has a 12 point lead among independents, which is also not being reported. So this could very well be a lopsided victory for Romney, liberals had better get prepared. It won't be the result of a stolen election, but of a media that tried to influence it rather then tell the truth.
Looks like Rick got his info from Fox ReTarded News Network !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't understand why this is such a close race. Why would anyone want a man that changes his values and morals to suit the situation? Why would anyone vote for a man that is not clear on anything? Why would anyone vote for a man that lies every time his mouth opens? Why would anyone vote for a man that disregards almost half of the population of the land in which he wants to govern? Why would anyone vote for a man that does not and has not apologized for any of the "mis-spoken" words he has said? Why would anyone vote for a man that we know nothing about, we clearly have no idea what he stands for.
I can't believe Romney's camp is running an ad that says he saved the auto industry...wouldn't that be a clue to his dishonesty? All of the Republican claim to be sooo patriotic, that they love their country, but the idea of "country first" doesn't seem to have entered their mind. Why would anyone want an administration that would let the country drop to its knees because they aren't in power? Romney promises 12 billion jobs, but why does he have to be President before he will help the economy? They seem to get everything else passed through Congress with their majority, why haven't they proposed something that would have a positive impact on the economy or given any assistance to the present Administration to enhance economic growth? Is this the type of mentality that we want to govern our nation? Do we really want a reckless opportunist as our Commander in Chief? Why do you think that because he is a shrewd businessman that he would create jobs and reduce the deficit? The Federal Government is NOT a business. The objective of a business is to profit monetarily...while we do need to create revenue, that is not PRIORITY NUMBER 1 and creating revenue cannot be at our expense. The POTUS has to consider 100% of the citizens in which he governs not just the top 2%.
And to all of us who are included in the 47% that Romney has written off, Romney was very clear on his stance that we should take responsibility for our lives, why do you think anything think that the Romney Administration would be beneficial for you?
Do not kid yourselves Obama supporters. Please turn out to vote, take your husbands and kids. No kidding! I am in Wisconsin and I will take my good thirty minutes on my ballot, just making sure that it is the President - Obama baby. I love this president. The best president America has ever had. Do not make a mistake if you are in a battle ground. I have this sneaky feeling that they will try and suppress the vote. Obama all the way baby!
Kazembe, looks like Wisconsin is going to come through for President Obama.
Good luck on election day. We have been watching your state throughout the year. We're almost there.
And to echo what you said - GOTV
Now of Wisconsin could only get rid of that "stain" Walker.
kazembe,
Do not worry. The Democrats will be there on Tuesday. I am bringing two family members and four neghbors to the polls.
Fire up and ready to go!
HUH? I want some of your drugs Kazembe
Obama baby? My, the cult of personality is deep.
How fitting it would be for Barack to be stuck in prison with Hillary for many years to talk about the "old days"
He put her on the road for 4 years and to be stuck with her....Hillary-ious and Billy C out doing his war on women....Liberal Style!
Corruption 101.....The Obama Administration excelled in this
Elaine: Did you forget they tried to 'get rid of' Walker and failed miserably (~9%)? Don't be surprised if Romney also takes Wisconsin (in addition to Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia).
@Kazembe
We're out in full force. Lots of boots on the ground. To the very patient Democrats in the swing states: thank you for your patience in answering your phones, responding to our requests, and GETTING OUT THE VOTE. We need you to SHOW UP AT THE POLLS AND VOTE! If you do this, President Obama will continue to lead us out of this mess created over the 8 years preceeding his inauguration.
You don't need to make calls, canvas, etc. Just show up and VOTE!
However, if you want to join the millions fighting for recovery www.barackobama.com.
Things "might" go as one wishes. What something "looks like" is a matter of perception. Reality is, republicans could very well, yet, steal this election. Media reports of "polls" are all over "hell, and all the state of Georgia". Democrats must vote! They must vote in large numbers! They must not allow intimidation! They must bear the aggravation of purposeful and time consuming obstruction. Democrats must go vote with an attitude of fighting a war. Unauthorized people who question you, or get in your face, call the proper authorities, and wait there for their appearance. Know whom and where to call before you go out to vote. Do not leave under any circumstances until you have consulted with proper Authorities, and agree with their assessment. In extreme situations, be prepared to put those who are bent on your hindrance on their asses, even to the point of crushing faces if required. DO NOT ALLOW ANY GWADDAMNED REPUBLICAN TO DENY YOU THE BASIC RIGHT TO VOTE. Exercise your rights, responsibilities, obligation and American satisfaction. When all this is accomplished, then we must all worry and wonder how many ballots the republicans will change or rule invalid. What a gwaddamned sorry country that will not only tolerate, but sanction such criminality.
The President's lead is much larger in Maine, the whitest and oldest state, demographically, in the nation. Imagine if we had a Hispanic component? Nope, just us chilly, taciturn Yankee WASPS up here. And we like Obama.
Angus King, moderate Independent candidate for the Senate, is also ahead double digits, dispite the relentless negative ads being run by Republican Super Pacs like Karl Rove's Crossroads for, literally, MONTHS. The only bright spot in this election is imagining Karl explaining to his robber baron clints how he wasted millions of their ill gotten gains trying to buy Maine's seat for the Republicans.
Maine stands with the President and sends a King to Congress!
Amy, looks like King will win.
Congrats to your state for supporting President Obama. I was so hoping for the president to pick up all N.E. states. I think he's gonna do it.
Pat,
New Hampshire is still polling blue. You may well get your wish.
Amy---those rich white Republicans expected a return on their investment and are going to be disappointed. They should come over to the Democrats. No one makes you pay to have your voice heard.
There is an old Republican saying, "As Maine goes, so goes the nation." Hopefully it will be working for the Democrats as well.
Barack, perhaps Hillary and Paneta will likely face trials for turning their backs on our own.
(D) Doubt, Debt, Decline, Deception, Dishonest
obamas legacy will be the worst president ever!
And yours the UGLIEST AVATAR of the WHOLE VINE!!!!!!
Robert Simons The WORST president ever gets to Bush...
Actually, the history hasn't been written yet, but Obama's record isn't real great. His adoring fans will vote for him, they 'love' him, and the people afraid of losing entitlements will vote for him. Actual working class people, those who have seen their incomes drop, their standard of living drop and their jobs disappearing won't be real anxious to vote for him.
Mygirl and Robert...Not sure what you are using as a metric but Obama's record is pretty good. You must be in republican world where 2+2=10 and Obama has taken all of your guns and rights.
HEY ROBERT SIMON
THE WORST PRESIDENT EVER
Bush / Cheney arguably the worst presidency in American history
It was on their watch that 9/11 took place: it was Bush who failed to kill or capture bin Laden: it was Bush / Cheney who failed to destroy Al Qaida and the Taliban after 8 years of war: It was Bush / Cheney who lied to the entire world about WMD in Iraq: It was Bush / Cheney who turned a record Federal surplus
into a record deficit: It was Bush / Cheney who created the conditions that have lead to the biggest economic crises in since the great depression: it was Bush / Cheney who failed to act when New Orleans was hit with a natural disaster; It was Bush / Cheney who destroyed Americas standing in the world and
I could go on.
And where was Dick Head Cheney while all this was going on HIDING IN AN UNDISCLOSED
LOCATION JUST LIKE the WIMP DID DURING THE ENTIRE VIETNAM WAR
JUST LIKE BUSH WHO WAS DRUNK AND AWOL HIGH ON COKE AFTER HIS DADDY GOT HIM IN TO THE AIR NATIONAL GUARD
AND WHERE WAS Vomitt Robus hiding in France like a little WIMP
mygirl1.......
Anyone who has a job (do you?), owes it to President Obama.
The U.S. economy was in a republican death-spiral when Barack Obama became POTUS. Don't you remember?
BTW---We (democrats) don't blame George Bush. We blame YOU who elected him (twice).
Well, if you think record numbers on food stamps, welfare, disability are something to brag about...Please, give us Obama's record on job creation (real numbers, not the bogus numbers bandied about by the campaign) then show us all those wonderful jobs created by the stimulus (jobs that still exist even after the money ran out) then show us all the shovel ready jobs. If buying electric signs to announce potential shovel ready projects counts as 'job creation' these days, well, no wonder expectations are so low.
Ian: Nice to know that the blame game is so deeply and profoundly entrenched in the psyche of democrats. Now, show us what Obama has done to address the criminality on Wall Street and amongs groups like Lehmann Brothers. Nada, zip, bupkiss and, in fact, he and Holder announced there were no prosecutions to be made on those folks. Interesting, no?
As to owing president Obama a job? Please. You might want to rethink that statement, seems the unemployment numbers aren't getting any better under Obama, even after four years, but then, you don't really have a clue as to the causes of the financial collapse and, apparently, you don't want to find out what REALLY went down, might not sit too well with your need to blame and point fingers.
Guess you don't think endless unemployment is a problem, like four years worth...nevermind. I realize that facts get in the way of denying reality.
mygirl1
read this-- winner take all politics. then decide.
Don't worry Mygirl1 Obama will be packing his bags in two days. There is simply no excuse to keep this guy in office and your post nails it spot on.
Anyone who has a job owes it to Obama?! I have my job in SPITE of Obama- geez, you must be a product of our pathetic education system- thanks to Obama. ONE and DONE!
Romney/Ryan 2010 the end of an error 2 more days!
certainly not Hitler, Bo the dog....however....
Worst president ever is Bush. Did nothing to prevent 911 in spite of many warnings, then used 911 along with other false pretenses to start a totally unnecessary trillion-dollar war in Iraq that killed thousands more Americans and led to much chaos, unrest and more terrorism. Refused to increase taxes on those who could afford it most to pay for the repub wars and increased military spending and horrible effects of 911 on the economy, and thus the federal debt grew exponentially. Instead gave big tax cuts to the big mega-rich, American job providers for third-world and communist foreign countries to profit from the low wages they could pay there because they did not want to pay American workers wages to cover the high American cost of living or world-record cost healthcare, and so Bush rewarded them.
mygirl1........Here are your answers:
http://www.sec.gov/about/laws/wallstreetreform-cpa.pdf
Now, show us what republicans have done to reduce financial corruption.
http://data.bls.gov/timeseries/LNS14000000
Take a look at the graph. You will find a steep ascent in unemployment at the end of your last at-bat in the White House. The Obama administration period is a steady decline.
If you don't think democrats fix the problems you create fast enough, stop creating them or, at least, stop sabotaging efforts of democrats toward fixing your mess. It is as though you folks have an economic death wish.
Billionaire husband of Democrat Congressional Representative from Maine Chellie Pingree owns every major news media in the state. So of course Maine will endorse Obama, every Mainer is spoon fed liberal propaganda everyday in all of the states newspapers. Maine is nothing but an over taxed, welfare heavy bastion of liberal social engineering. Angus King who will win the senate seat vacated by Snowe is a closet Democrat that runs as an independent to avoid the primaries. But King is as liberal as they come, and he loves what he can do for himself when in office.
Rick-3416939......
Doesn't George H. W. Bush have a home in Maine? Apparently (according to you), he must be a glutton for punishment.
In any case, congratulations on alienating yet another subset of American voters.
The ONLY way Romney wins is by stealing the election....and GOP is sure trying to do that.
Come on Dems, get out and vote....take nothing for granted....and get friends and family to voting booth.
Reading some of the stories about long lines in Florida due to Rick Scott limiting early voting, which many Dems and elderly do, makes it all the more important Dems, Independents and moderate Repubs get out and vote for President Obama.
Obama/Biden 2012!!!!
Well said, Dragon. It's nice to be in the driver's seat, but it ain't over until it's over. We need to send a very clear message to the Republicans and the rest of the "haters" of this country.
Locked out in FLA, CHANTING in LINe let us vote after the doors are locked
This is sick !
Hang in there, zilly-#######
2012 - The Baroke O-conomy Legacy...Own It!
Campaign funds are used for one purpose only: to help their candidates to win. If the Obama campaign is hiring lawyers to sue over Ohio's voting laws, it is only because they believe that disenfranchising military members will help Obama win.
Sick? What is sick is the NAACP in Houston, openly and shamlessly promoting Obama, INSIDE the polling stations. Interesting that even after protests, these people were allowed to continue cheating.
In Florida, the Democrats are complaining that Governor Scott closed early voting at the end of the day on Saturday so the people can't vote on Sunday or Monday and have to vote on voting day Tuesday. This was something we in Florida knew about and it was all over the papers and news in Florida well before early voting opened a week ago. The fact that at the witching hour the Democrats are complaining and saying that the Republicans are preventing people from voting is obviously false. The people should have voted during the week. I voted early, was in and out in 30 minutes. There were no problems that I could see. Everyone was civil and all equipment was working.
I'm seeing reports of very long lines in Florida, and I also saw the debacle in Doral...you shouldn't have to pack a lunch (and dinner) to vote. Zilly, and everybody, keep your cool - and vote.
I don't know about Florida, but the early votes in Ohio are stored in a vault until election day, and then they are run through the scanner by board of election workers.
The reason some of these state have limited the hours is that they don't have the funds for more time.
You know it's in the bag when the only talking point that MSNBC and its fan club can fall back on is vote suppression/stealing/disenfranchisement, never mind that the only examples of it to be found actually favor them.
I'm not sure how you can spin it to cover the 8-10 million vote margin for Romney I see coming this Tuesday.
question ----- how do they decide who a "likely" voter is ??? ------ i love it how accurate they make the poll seem ---- with an error margin of +/- 2.55% ---- like that level of accuracy is even possible....
ron: There are demographics of people who vote....elderly tend to vote, young adults tend not to vote.....those kinds of demographics from past elections is what a "likely" voter is based on.
how do they know the age of the person they are calling ??? ----- how do they know whether the person to whom they are talking is truthful about their voting intentions ??
The poll numbers also give the Democratic candidate an automatic bump due to voter turnout in 2008. Hopefully nobody in the party base feels like they haven't had improvement in the last 4 years because then turnout may be different. Hopefully voter turnout will be even higher this year than in 2008, regardless of candidate, so that everyone's voice and vote is counted.
ron: Age, sex, race, that is all public information. As to telling the truth to the pollster, who knows.
Likely voters are people on lists who have voted regularly in the past. They are categorized that way based upon their past voting tendencies.
so.... in other words, these polls do not include anyone who is a first-time voter....???
No. Because they aren't on the list of past voters which is how these lists are generated in the first place. They also don't include the millions out there - myself included - who don't have landline phones anymore…those who only utilize cell phones.
does that mean they also do not include unaffiliated voters, who may switch their vote from election to election ??? ---- the same unaffiliated voters who represent 25% of the voters, and who are responsible for the winner in all elections ??? ------ you didn't read the article then.... it clearly says about 1/4 of those people polled were on cell phones, which means the other 3/4 had to be landlines.
i question the accuracy of any poll, political or otherwise, which relies entirely on phone calls. ------ and frankly, when your talking about 200 million people of voting age, a sample size of 1400 is ridiculous. ----- assuming they skewed which states to call, that means many states, like north dakota or wyoming, received at most 1 call.
and if they did skew the poll by state population, that means they were mostly calling blue states.
Voting machine swaps Obama for Romney
"Joan Stevens was one of several early voters at the polls on Monday. But when Stevens tried to cast her ballot for president, she noticed a problem. Upon selecting “Mitt Romney” on the electronic touch screen, Barack Obama’s name lit up.
It took Stevens three tries before her selection was accurately recorded.
“You want to vote for who you want to vote for, and when you can’t it’s irritating,” Stevens said.
Stevens said she alerted Jackie Smith, a board of elections member who was present. Smith declined to comment, but Stevens says she mentioned that the machine had been having problems all day."...
I know! Damn Democrats were sending out mailers informing voters that their registration was invalid so they wouldn't show up at the polls. Voter suppression sucks in all of its forms. Of course the KKK members could just show up at polls with bats and say stuff like "you know which candidate to vote for" while being videotaped on cell phone. The Obama Justice Department has OK'd this kind of activity, so it is cool and all, as long as you don't actually hit anyone (and get caught, of course).
i think i am done with all the brainwashed democrats at msnbc.they all have their heads way too far up obamas ass
Aniilof. It was he republicans sending out those mailers.. It is only the republicans trying to surpress the vote
Actually, no one knows who sent out those letters and....they went to republicans as well. Nice try at disinformation. Seems the real serious cheating is being done by democrats who are busing in non-english speaking Somalis, telling people how to forge documents like utility bills to show residency and turning up at the polls in their kk...er...NAACP tshirts, telling people to vote for Obama, moving people up in line along with going into the actual polling places. Guess you missed THOSE stories?
Turnout, turnout, turnout. The major problem here is the amount of time it takes to vote. People standing for 7 hours in queues in Florida is just crazy for a democracy. I've voted in 3 different Countries and it takes a few minutes. No wonder the GOP is favored for turn-out, and they're still doing their best to stop Democrats from voting. The latest set of law suits in Ohio, shortening the voting period in Florida. It's disgusting. All people voting for Obama, please be resilient and make sure you vote. The GOP will cheat, lie, and do anything to win.
And there the first to wave the flag pathetic, Who are the real Bolsheviks
Analyze - You mean like not giving our military men and women overseas enough time to vote?
No, overseas people have plenty of time to vote (me included). I'm talking about the poor people who have to stand in line for hours, often at the risk of losing their jobs, and the ones who stand in line for hours only to be told the polling station has closed. This happens a lot more in urban areas than in rural so favors the Republicans.
Technically they didn't shorten the time, they didn't opt to extend it. A lot of people in Florida are stupid (dangling chads and all) Disclaimer: I was born in Florida and still in live in Florida. Still, I say that because I didn't stand in line because I got a absentee ballot, filled it out at my kitchen table, and then turned it in the next day bypassing the long line (also because we acquitted Casey Anthony). The beauty of this methodology is that there is a paper trail and I didn't entrust it to the U.S. Post Office and I didn't ever wait in line for anything. Also, the reason that lines in Florida are so long is because our state legislature apparently can't pass any laws without making it a Florida constitutional amendment and you have to read all of that lengthy crap and then figure out what it is actually talking about before you vote on it (I hope).
Yes, absentee ballots is the way to go (me too). The only concern I have is that you can't actually see what's going on in person. Then again who knows what goes on in the back rooms. It's a pity you can't get some kind of receipt, like at a bank.
LOL, the military wont vote for Obama again, half of them would lose their jobs. Just like the coal miners in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and 12 other states. It is too bad that none of you democrats are smart enough to recognize the depressed job creation. All of the things you throw at Romney are true of Obama, he will destroy this country given the chance. Thanks to all of the polls counting all of those democratic votes from 2008......... The polls are not accurate and the Democrat ground game is stagnant. The numbers are not magic like in 2008. There is trouble in Chicago. Mr. Obama please prepare to be beaten by a very large majority of Americans that are sick and tired of going nowhere.
The administration has taken various states to court to block voter ID laws on the grounds it will disenfranchise voters. But it has no qualms about the disenfranchisement of military voters overseas through its failure to comply with and enforce the Military and Overseas Voter Empowerment (MOVE) Act, passed by Congress in 2009 and signed into law by President Barack Obama.
The law acknowledges the difficulties caused by time and distance for deployed soldiers in exercising the right to vote they put their lives on the line to protect. One of the key provisions required each military branch to create an installation voting assistance office (IVAO) for every military base outside an immediate combat zone.
Last week, however, the Pentagon's inspector general reported that attempts to locate and contact IVAO offices at overseas military installations failed about half the time.
Why is it that Obama points to someone in the crowd at every place he visits? It's simple, he's played golf with those guys!
who in the hell are in these polls ... if 90% blacks are voting for Obama, 60% Hispanics, close to 60% white women then who are answering these questions ... that leaves white men
Angry white men, lets face it there is an element of race here
ahhh yes...Dems, devoid of ideas, who can't defend their position...OUT comes the race card.....
HEY! I'm an angry white man! But I'm angry at the nasty obstructionist T/GNOP party and their unwillingness to even work with our president. I've voted already. Not a single R marked on my ballot!
This angry white man is for Obama!
4 more for 44!
You could have voted for Romney and he's got lots of R's. He's also got plenlty of soul.
Put them together and you get what Mitt is, a lying R-Soul.
lol, the race card? Wait a minute, 90% of blacks are voting for Obama? And then you try pulling the race card? Seriously? Wait, riddle me this, what is the percentage of whites that voted for Obama in 2008? What, more than whites that voted for 2-term, beloved Democratic WHITE president, Bill Clinton? No, surely not. Whites are inherently racist, there's no way that more whites voted for Obama than voted for Bill Clinton right? What's going to happen when the Hispanics are the majority, huh? Should be interesting how the race card comes into play then because they're probably NOT going to react the same way to it. I can't blame you for using it now, when it still works, I mean I would too, I understand. You got to use whatever works. But the true racists are going to have to come up with something new pretty soon if the demographics continue on the path that they are currently on.
Me, I'm an angry INDEPENDENT woman and I want election reform and to do away with Citizen's United.
I want rights for all women and equal pay for women.
I'm anti-war and really upset that Bush/Cheney LIED us into a bogus war on us and didn't pay one cent during their term.
I'm against the party of NO & LIES!
I voted for President Obama!
if you are against the party of lies you must surely not be a democrat.and i know a lot of angry black men voting for romney.only a racist would vote based on color of skin
I'm Republican and I voted for Mitt Romney and I want rights for all women and equal pay for women too (and blacks, hispanics, whites, and homosexuals). I don't want to do away with Citizen's United because it lets news outlets like CNN, MSNBC/NBC News, and ABC News (as well as FOX) to continue reporting on the election even if they are corporations. I want the geniuses in Congress to come up with a new campaign law that differentiates media-based electioneering by corporations like G.E., Boeing, Bank Of America, Microsoft, and Apple from CNN, MSNBC/NBC News, ABC News, and FOX. And I admit that I use the term geniuses in a very, very loose way here.
Read the following from Robert Reich if you are planning or have voted for Romney
RUCKUS - HERE IS THE ARTICLE FROM ROBERT REICH (MOST OF IT, ANYWAY) THAT I THINK YOU MEANT TO POST:
"ROMNEYISM"
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/robert-reich/romneyism_b_2069095.html?utm_hp_ref=politics
The ten guiding principles of Romneyism are:
1. Corporations are the basic units of society. Corporations are people, and the overriding purpose of an economy is to maximize corporate profits. When profits are maximized, the economy grows fastest. This growth benefits everyone in the form greater output, better products and services, and higher share prices.
2. Workers are a means to the goal of maximizing corporate profits. If workers do not contribute to that goal, they should be fired. If they cannot then find other work that helps maximize profits in another company, their wages must be too high, and they must therefore accept steadily lower wages until they find a job.
3. All factors of production -- capital, physical plant and equipment, workers -- are fungible and should be treated the same. Any that fail to deliver high competitive returns should be replaced or discarded. This keeps an economy efficient. Fairness is and should be irrelevant.
4. Pollution, unsafe products, unsafe working conditions, financial fraud, and other negative side effects of the pursuit of profits are the price society pays for profit-driven growth. They should not be used as excuses to constrain the pursuit of profits through regulation.
5. Individual worth depends on net worth -- how much money one has made, and the value of the assets that money has been invested in. Any person with enough intelligence and ambition can make a fortune. Failure to do so is sign of moral and intellectual inferiority.
6. People who fail in the economy should not be coddled. They should not receive food stamps, Medicaid, or any other form of social subsidy. Coddling leads to a weaker society and a weaker economy.
7. Taxes are inherently bad because they constrain profit-making. It is the right and responsibility of individuals and corporations to exploit every tax loophole they (and their tax attorneys) can find in order to pay the lowest taxes possible.
8. Politics is a game whose only purpose is to win. Any means used to win the game is legitimate even if it involves lying and cheating, as long as it gains more supporters than it loses.
9. Democracy is dangerous because it is forever vulnerable to the votes of a majority intent on capturing the wealth of the successful minority, on whom the economy depends. The rich must therefore do whatever is necessary to prevent the majority from exercising its will, including spending large sums of money on lobbyists and political campaigns. The most virtuous among the rich will go a step further and run for president.
10. The three most important aspects of life are family, religion, and money. Patriotism is a matter of guarding our economy from unfair traders and undocumented immigrants, rather than joining together for the common good. We owe nothing to one another as citizens of the same society.
.
On Tuesday we'll decide whether these should be the guiding principles of America.
.
IS THIS WHAT YOU WANT FOR AMERICA?
HECK NO, VOTE O & JOE! :-)
More propaganda, lol, I have already voted, and I know that the seniors here in Florida dont want to lose their Advantage plans. They are voting for Romney, and the majority of women I have spoken with are voting for Romney, so somebody is missing something, and I know it is not me.
Reich, ;like the 3rd Reich, meaning Hitler. I am not surprised. lol Good luck :)
A member of the 3rd Reich would be supporting Romney, not Obama.
Vickery -
Well IF seniors voted FOR Romney to save their Medicare Advantage plans then they got fooled good. With Romney -- watch for little old confused people wandering around with vouchers in their hands looking for medical insurance. They'll be ripe for the picking from unscrupulous insurance scams.
They got what they voted for.
Analyze -
WRONG! It is Obama who has set up a youth corps - training and all, actually graduated their first class within the past month. Also FEMA 'relocation camps' and a few other things, some of them hidden in Obamacare.
So, it looks like you are thoroughly propagandized by the liberals.
So, the brown shirts are Obama's baby.
Looks like you need to open your eyes and see what is going on around you.
Tammy,
My father and grandfather fought in the second world war against Hitler. What Obama has done has absolutely nothing to do with the Hitler youth. It was a despicable time in Europe's history where millions of Jews were murdered and many innocent civilians killed. What Obama has done is to get young people involved in constructive activities, not criminal pursuits.
Not only you will lose your "Advantage Plans" if Mitt wins. You will lose your home as well, trying to pay for that triple bypass that you may need, or the cancer treatment, or anything catastrophic like that...Tell me about your vote then...
You are going to SAY: "I VOTED WHEN I WAS HEALTHY"...That was then....
And under Romney/Ryan if you are under 55, when you become a senior, good luck in trying to pay for private health insurance with a 40% to 20% off discount voucher to purchase an extremely inflated private health insurance plan. Raising the cost of premiums beyond what most seniors could afford was the technique private insurance used before Medicare was started to avoid paying for the many age-related diseases and conditions of seniors, and they will inevitably do it again.
And under Romney/Ryan we can watch the right to life end at birth, then it will be starve the poor babies and deprive the old ladies and anyone else poor, handicapped or down on their luck.
After Romney/Ryan, watch for little old confused people of the future starving in the streets along with poor children and handicapped citizens.
It's Electoral College, dummy! (see: Gore vs. Bush; Tilden vs. Hayes; Jackson vs. Adams). It doesn't matter how many votes Romney runs up in the Confederate States. It is the entire Union that counts!
you could make the same claim about california, oregon, and washington. ----- if obama takes 70% of the vote in oregon, it's still only one state's electoral votes..
Eventually all the Red Necks and bigots will be the minority in the "Confederate States", and the REAL people that work in those States: blacks, hispanics ,and women, will turn those States so blue that they will look bluer than blue!!!!
After the Civil War ended they should have just cut the south off at the Mason-Dixon line and let them form their perfect little country where there are unicorns, blue skys and white people everywhere. Are these people playing with a full deck - red states suck!
Wow, and bet you don't think you're prejudiced or biased or bigoted either.
One thing nobody is mentioning is the devastating effect that a Romney win would have on the make up of the Supreme Court. With elderly justices ready to retire it would be horrific to have a conservative dominated court for years to come. Please don't let that happen! Go out and vote!
The first order of business will be elect judges that would reverse Wade vs. Roe, and toughen the "voting laws"-In other words, he would disfranchise women and minorities of civil rights and liberty-
David - absolutely right! The SCOTUS is in jeopardy(if Romney is elected) and most women know it!
VOTE DEMOCRATIC!
Supreme Courts generally do not reverse prior Supreme Courts decisions, at least not in one fell swoop. It happens on very, very rare occasions but not in general. Even a fully conservative Supreme Court couldn't come up with a reason to reverse Roe vs. Wade or "toughen" voting laws as they would be blatantly unconstitutional and the Supreme Court, even though allegedly non-political, still has to weather popular criticism as a voter-instituted Constitutional amendment could limit their broad powers as assigned by Justice Marshall.
Hmm. so if Eric Holder gets the nod, you'd be ok with him on the Supreme Court? Of course you would, acceptance of lying and mendacity are a hallmark of the breed of Obamabots.
Obama is more "likeable."
Becoming world-class at anything takes a huge amount of training, experience, and natural aptitude. Governing a country is no exception. It should have been apparent at the outset that Obama could no more be an adequate president than he could be a chess grandmaster, or a symphony conductor.
Choose an “average American” at random. Chances are that he or she would:
Cause an NFL team to lose if playing quarterback
Sound awful playing a violin solo with the Philadelphia Symphony
Be quickly checkmated by a Russian chess grandmaster
Hurt the country's economy and world position if chosen as President.
The point is that becoming world-class at anything takes a huge amount of training, experience, and natural aptitude. Governing a country is no exception. Romney has demonstrated that he is truly extraordinary at planning, organizing, negotiating, etc. Everything, in fact, that is required to be a world-class US President. If that makes his personality a little inaccessible to the common man, that is understandable … and acceptable.
Romney and Lying Ryan,
No promises just utter failures! Grade F- for lies and poor math.
Way to go Obama
Welfare in 2011: $60,000 Per Household
Taxpayers last year spent $1 trillion on welfare programs for households below the poverty line — enough to give each low-income household a check for $60,000.
According to a report from the Senate Budget Committee’s Republican staff and ranking member Sen. Jeff Sessions of Alabama, the federal government spent $746 billion on welfare in the 2011 fiscal year, and states paid out $254 billion in matching funds.
The federal total was up from $563 billion in fiscal year 2008, the last year of George W. Bush’s presidency, and up from $692 billion in fiscal 2009.
The federal welfare spending cited in the report does not include programs such as Medicare and Social Security, which are not means-tested and directed toward lower-income Americans, and does not include programs for veterans.
The Congressional Research Service reported that federal spending on health benefits for people with low income totaled $339 billion in fiscal 2011, with $295 billion spent on Medicaid.
The second largest category, Cash Aid, totaled $145 billion.
Federal taxpayers shelled out $101 billion for food assistance, including $80 billion for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (food stamps). That’s double what they spent in 2008.
The total also includes $2 billion for Nutritional Assistance for Puerto Rico.
Taxpayers also spent $41.4 billion on Pell Grants, $46 billion on Housing and Development, $7.5 billion on Head Start, and $5 billion on Energy Assistance.
According to the Census Bureau, last year 16.8 million U.S. households were below the poverty line of $23,000 per year for a family of four. If all households received an equal share of the $1 trillion in welfare spending, they would each get $59,523.
And if only the federal share of welfare spending is considered, without state matching funds, each low-income household would still receive $44,404 — nearly double the federal poverty line of $23,000.
It's a pretty sad statement that those who refuse to work live better than those who do work.
While no one minds helping those in genuine need, there is no excuse for supporting the 'baby-mommas' who make no attempt to better themselves.
Ah, but the baby mama's vote democrat, they know which side butters the toast. Not one Obama supporter ever thinks about where the money comes from, no need, they have their hands out and will riot if not appeased.
You are so full of it. Wall Street is doing better than ever, and yet, all of you just repeat what you hear from FOX: That Obama has more people on food stamps, and that all Democrats are just sitting around, cashing food stamps. OK, so if Wall Street and the millionaires are doing so good, why is the WEALTH NOT helping others?
Do you really think that people stay on welfare all their life? Are you really that ignorant? How much "help" do you think the Republicans will give to people in need? Do you think that Obama is just giving welfare checks to people?
How stupid is that? Chris Christie said something NICE about President Obama, and all of YOU CRITICIZE HIM. pathetic! I guess saying something nice makes him a leech, a welfare recipient and part of the 47% that are only trash.
tammy-311614 and mygirl1
just read --winner take all politics--. might enlighten you. Just asking.
Bopeep: Tell you what. Go watch '2016' first. As to being enlightened? If by that you mean that I should choose Obama, well, sorry, I already voted and it wasn't for Obama.
Bopeep: Winner Take All politics is an old story, go look at history and the Robber Barons for just one instance. Then, go read up on communism, fascism and other totalitarianistic forms of 'governing' and ask if those particular 'isms' are more savory.
I'm not suprised by said Winner etc. info, and I'm not buying the book either. I will suggest you read this article, it is one of the better written synopsises of the financial collapse, the current state of affairs in the country and a very upsetting bit of information that should be made mandatory reading for ALL Americans.
http://Immartin.hubpages.com/hub/The-Real-Wealth-Redistribution
You know what's truly frightening? This election is wicked close. That means that 49% of America is going to be very unhappy Wednesday morning. The divisiveness on these forums is amazing. 50% of Americans want America to follow the principles that we were founded on and 50% want "fundamental transformation". There will be no real winners this time. What will it take for America to feel unity again?
It is always interesting to see these polls. How many people did they poll? There are millions of registered voters in this country, if they only called 1,000. this is not a representative sample. How much does the media think this will sway the election. I for one do not believe the polls. How do you know the person is telling you the truth?
exactly ---- one of our more difficult tasks in stats class was to design and take a poll ---- it is very difficult to be realistically accurate.
Romney MUST have Florida which it looks like he does, without it its game set match. In addition if he can't pull Ohio it is a very tough road but mathematically possible.
How can anyone possibly believe anything reported by NBC, ABC, CBS or CNN? They have miserably failed their oblgations to acurately and without prdjudice to report events to the American people. Intead, what ww get is trash talk against one candidate and praise for another. These once honorable agents of the American press are now only propaganda rags for the most corrupt and inept president oue country has ever seen. These rags seem perfectly fine with Obama pushing us over the fiscal cliff of oblivion while morality hits in the tank. Yhery are perfectly happy to see us pushed into the European style socialism, even though every one of these nations are failing thier own people. They are perfectly happy to see Obama turn his back on Israel, while standing by and letting Iran obtain nyclear weapons and letting terrorists murder our ambassadors while Obama stands back and attends campaign fundraisers and then has his surrogates lie to the American people with a totally shameful lie that as done nothing but stir up more hatred of Americans throughout the muslim world. Yet these rags wantto keep him in office. One has to wonder why? I believe the answeis money. These agenciesare heavily invested in the entertainment industry, and it is they believe that the more despicable and tasteless they can add to their programs, the more money they can make. It is time for all Americans to stand up to this junk and vote Obama and his cronies out of office, and restore honor and civility to our country once again.
Doug,
Ever read Orwell's 1984? That is exactly where we are headed. The goverment controls it all, including the media.
Why would anyone in their right mind want to "fundamentally transform" America? We already have an equal shot Mr. Obama. Just no guarantee of equal outcome. Some people get to be president and some people don't. Now if you're redistributing wealth i'll take some of your 10 million to start...
You left out Fox
American,
the government you speak of is supposed to be we the people. Not we the Corporations.
You posted that crap LAST week and the WEEK before. How much does Romney pay a blog monkey?
Weak and yes, like Barack....Yes you lie...and it doesn't matter....weak...own it!
2012 - The Baroke O-conomy Legacy...Own It!
All4, I suspect you'll be rather disappointed Wednesday morning.
@ All4a REaso:
If you want a contest about GAFFES, YOU LOSE.
There is not enough rooom in these vines to write the STUPIDITIES AND ASININE COMMENTS OF THE REPUBLICANS DURING THIS ELECTION!
GET OFF YOUR HIGH HORSE!
Yep, he's the man I would vote for if everyone else was dead, a man that ran off to France during the Vietnam War is a better leader than President Obama? A man that started his campaign with a lie and is finishing it with a lie is a leader? This man and his entire family are nothing but cowards. This goes all the way back to Willard's Grandfather, he ran from prosecution for being a Polygamist. He took the family to Mexico and swore never to return. It was Willard's Father that snuck back into the United States and it was Willard's father that convinced everyone even though he was born in Mexico he was born of American parents. That was a lie and that lie to this day can't be proved because the words I denounce my citizenship to the United States was never recorded. You tell me would you leave this country if you were being investigated for a crime and still want to remain a citizen or would you tell your family and friends the hell with America I'm never coming back? As far as I am concerned there is the coward in Romney's blood and there is the habit of lying. I ask you this about his faith, does the church Condon his lying and deceit? Is this how the Mormon Faith programs its parish to behave? About Romney's leadership skills, do you know no where in American history any of Romney's family has ever served in the Military. They refuse to spill their blood for their country or ours. I'll be happy when this election is over and Romney can take his family back to Mexico where they can practice their polygamy as they see fit. Ann Romney is not a woman I would want my wife to model her self after. Ann has no morals when it comes to telling the truth and thinks releasing more tax returns would just give people more dirt on her husband. Her kids are cowards for not serving this nation. Even Prince Harry and William are man enough to serve their country.
Not to bust your pathetic little excuses for Obama bubble, but....how much enlistment time did he have? None? Oh, so only REPUBLICANS must serve in the military...gotcha. Note that you also ignored Slick Willie's draft dodging, why is that?
All4Areason, your#25.8, talk about a Freudian slip! LOL
So will Americans embrace the plutocracy by electing Romney, a man who's every word from the beginning of the primaries till today has been a lie? A man whose constant flips, flops, and self-contradictions have made a liar out of himself?
Well, this is the country which generates more lies per minute than any other civilization in history, so you never know. Nevertheless, I think there are enough non-rich, non-racists in the country to send him back to his car elevators.
"if I don't have things turned around in 3 years this should be a one term deal", isn't that kinda flip flopping, he hasn't turned anything around
since I believe no one here is in the one percent, they do not have the time to post here, nor the need. Read Winner Take All Politics. You maybe informed.
Well i just believe that the land of the free and home of the brave are actually going to re-elect obama.this romney guy looks the real deal and i think this an oppotunity too good to miss.you dont want your government micro managing your lives like we do here in Australia.in actual fact the governemnt we have here is a dictatorship of liars and crooks.even our prime minister is being probed about misconduct and it dont look good for her.well its your country, just dont ending up missing out on what could have been as the Australian public have by voting out John howard our greatest ever Pm.dont let the hangers on drag you down America because the world needs you strong and we have got your backs.

Welfare for the rich - Romney’s tax cuts - Paid for by YOU.
you must be one of the welfare mooches, kinda got to you huh , take one of the jobs Obama has saved !!!
Everything lyin Willardo feeds his braindead followers is a myth. I am sure he would be doing better if he told these repuke dopes that he would create 50 million jobs in the next 4 years. They don't need to be told how.
Clueless Lyin Willardo should not even be running for president. But for a lyin moron, talk is cheap. This clueless moron has no idea how to fix anything. This criminal repuke bankupts companies and loses jobs. What a joke. The nuts that follow him actually believe that he is going to create 12 million new jobs and these dopes believe him. He does not have to tell them how, that does not matter.
Clueless Lyin Willardo is known as the slapped axx Mexican Mormon Moron for good reason. This complete dunce made himself look even more ignorant than he already is by stating in a campaign clip that if he ever overpaid his taxes, he does not deserve to be your president. Well this repuke dunce overpaid his 2011 taxes by $3,000 to make it look like he was paying a higher tax rate-which he can recover after the election. He has up to 3 years to refile an amended return. Only a pathetic, psychotic, braindead radical right wing cracked teanut dope will vote for him.
The thing I used to admire most about Democrats was their unswerving opposition to all forms of prejudice, and adherence to the ideal of "a colorblind society." Now they have become what they used to hate. It is now the Left that spouts the most foul bigotry like "Mexican Mormon Moron:" ...
The Dems represents themselves as the tolerant party. Can there be any doubt that they are now the party of division led by our current POTUS who has taken the politics of division to an art form.
Barack Obama should be ashamed of himself. So pitiful of a leader
first mulatto american president more like, why doesn't he ever claim his white half ? because it would get him nowhere.
Have you noticed that since Ryan's bad interview and display of temper on National TV (when Ryan thought the microphone was turned off), that they've kept him in the closet for any type of interviews?
1.) One, who practices true Christianity with concern and compassion for all; or one, who cares for the 2% and to Hell with the 47%;
2.) One, who demonstrates clarity and calmness; or one, who uses “FEAR TACTICS” to create confusion;
3.) One that demonstrates morality and integrity; or one that demonstrates greed and concerns for the 2% wealthy elite while expressing that he doesn’t care about the 47%?
4.) One that shows respect the women and provide them with their choice of appropriate healthcare; or one that backs a candidate (Murdock), who claims RAPE and PREGNACY are "GOD’S INTENTION" as-well-as a "GIFT FROM GOD", or one (Akin), who wants to legitimize (Akin) the rape of women and children;
5.) One, who clearly DOES NOT suffer from amnesia; or a CHAMELEON with changing colors on the hour by the hour depending on where he is and telling them what they want to hear in order to get their votes;
6.) One, who puts a NATIONAL DISASTER FIRST and CAMPAIGNING LAST as-well-as visiting the areas of calamity; or one lacking in personal character, whose main concern was to campaign in Ohio (a critical electoral State) on Tues. (as the storm still continues to wreak havoc) while doing this under the guise of helping the victims with the planned opportunity for a “POLITICAL PHOTO OP” as he packs a few boxes which the Red Cross has expressed donations be given in the form of money, since they know what is actually needed and can get it there faster;
7.) One, who has visited the storm area immediately; or one, who is too busy campaigning on the trail, and has yet to visit the disaster area?
8.) One, who demonstrates CHARACTER, HONESTY, and CONCERN for ALL; or one, who doesn’t care about the 47%, too busy attending expensive fund raising dinner events, and refuses to show his tax reports (when other candidates--to include Obama-- who has shown 10 or more tax reports);
9.) One, who encourages investing in America; or one, with off shore accounts, and as the acting President for the Board of Trustees and Investment Member is currently sending a company, Asentia (not sure of spelling), overseas to China for sweat-shop wages (less than $1.00 per hr.);
10.) One, who wants realistic benefits; or one, who wants to eliminate all entitlements, and replace some with vouchers to invest in often very unstable stock markets. If you lose with the investment, there goes your healthcare, because it’s your loss?
11.) One, who wants to reform the taxes, eliminate the loopholes, and make the wealthy elite pay more of their fair share of taxes; or one, who wants the wealthy to have even bigger tax breaks , because they need the money to hire workers, which they have not done during the Great Recession, but do have billions to spend on Campaign Ads ;
12. One , who believes in the right to vote; or one who condones Voters Suppression?
13. One, who believes in transparency and truth; or one, who continually runs away from the press by hiding or ignoring their questions presented 31 times;
14.) One, who realizes that the private sector cannot handle major catastrophes, and allows the Govt. to step in with aid; or one, who wants to privatize everything (so his companies overseas can take on the contracts for profit) and expects the private sector to handle everything on their own? (Can you just see NJ handling $50 B on their own now, or in the immediate future?);
15.) Real leadership that looks like ONE, who shows up and is out there in a National Disaster area while cutting through the “red tape” to get help moving sooner; or one, who is busy campaigning in Swing States while using the storm (during the storm) as a “Photo Op Event” under the guise of a “Disaster Relief Event” with canned goods when the Red Cross asked for cash or blood donations, since they know what is needed;
16.) Someone, who lives in this universe; or someone, who lives in a parallel universe with a gold self-serving spoon in his mouth;
17.) one, who realistically tries to provide the help where needed; or one, who professes, “YOU CAN”T PUT UP THE RICH ELITE ON THE TABLE; BUT YOU CAN PUT UP THE MEDICARE, MEDICAID, SS, and HEALTHCARE ON THE TABLE”.“Just Privatize everything with vouchers!!”;
18.) The “OCT. SURPRISE” is one, who shows more concern with the needs of our Country while placing campaigning last; or one, who is more concerned with his own needs by campaigning negatively in the “Swing States”, and not even visiting to take a closer look at the disaster areas;
19.) One who tries stabilize and to bring our Country together; or one, who "Flip-flops" hourly as Mitt does, which doesn’t help to stabilize our Country in hard economic times of distress, etc.;
20.) One who cares about our Vets; or one, who never mentioned the Vets in the 3 debates/campaigns, and whose V.P. voted the against the recent Vet Bill to help them find jobs, etc.;
21.) One, who looks forward with the future energy sources, etc.; or one, who looks back to the past policies of failure.
