Subscribe to RSSENGLEWOOD, CO — Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney implored Colorado voters for "one final push" in his final rally Saturday, making his entreaty to the largest and most boisterous crowd of the day.
"One final push is gonna get us there. We’ve had a lot of short nights and long days and now we’re close," Romney told a crowd of more than 17,000 supporters gathered at an outdoor amphitheater. "The door to a brighter future is there – it’s open, waiting for us. I need your vote, I need your work, I need your help."
Colorado voters have turned out in large numbers for Romney at recent rallies here, and he'll need the kind of high energy he received tonight to move this state, which most polls show knotted up, back into the Republican column on Tuesday.
In his fourth and final campaign stop of the day, Romney continued to appeal primarily to independent voters with his "closing argument" stump speech, telling his assembled crowd that the president had failed to live up to his lofty promises of change, and would continue to fail to work with Republicans in Congress should be he granted a second term.
"Change can't be measured in speeches; it is measured in achievements. And four years ago, candidate Obama promised to do so very much. But he has fallen so very short," Romney said. "He promised he would be a post-partisan president, but he has been most partisan — dividing, attacking, blaming."
Romney also added a local touch to his final Colorado appearance. Retelling the tale of a Boy Scout group's flag — thought lost in the Challenger space shuttle explosion, but later recovered unharmed and returned to them — Romney invited a special guest out onstage: Maj. William Tolbert, the US Air Force officer and scoutmaster from Monument, Colorado who figures so prominently in the story, carrying the flag itself, encased in glass.
"That," said Romney as Tolbert stood beside him and the crowd cheered its approval, "is a great flag, representing the greatest nation in the history of the Earth."

At a recent Ohio rally, Romney stopped to visit a child who had a box full of puppies.
"What cute puppies!" Romney gushed. "What kind of puppies are they?"
"Oh, these are REPUBLICAN puppies" grinned the child. Romney patted the puppies and continued on.
Two day later, while wrapping up his final rally in Ohio, Romney spotted that same child with his box of puppies.
"Hi There! How are you and your Republican puppies?"
"Oh, these aren't Republican puppies," the child chided, "These are DEMOCRAT puppies."
"Democrat puppies?! But the other day you said they were Republican puppies."
"They were," said the child, "but that was before they had their eyes open!"

The reverend and civil rights advocate who gave the benediction at President Obama’s inauguration suggested at a recent Obama re-election rally that he thinks white people are going to hell -- though he later said it was just a joke.
The Rev. Joseph Lowery spoke at a rally Saturday in Georgia. According to an account in the Monroe County Reporter, "Lowery said that when he was a young militant, he used to say all white folks were going to hell. Then he mellowed and just said most of them were.

I think the vast majority of us can agree that the presidency was a bridge too far for Barack Hussein Obama. His ambition got the best of him, and then us. And we are all the poorer for it. He was the most poorly vetted person EVER to be nominated and elected to that office. And we are all the poorer for it. He was the
most poorly prepared person EVER to be elected to that office, which his record confirms. And we are all the poorer for it.
This man has associated himself with extremists and radicals his whole life, yet he tells us that we need not be alarmed by that. If anyone else had done the same things, the media would have been merciless on them. They would have faded back into the woodwork, never to be heard from again. Yet, that did not happen with Obama. Why? You all know the reasons why.
This is a man who tells you that he is doing the best that he can, but circumstances beyond his control have prevented his success. He is but a victim of circumstances. Powerless. Impotent. And we are supposed to accept his explanations about why he failed, and allow him to continue on in his job. To criticize his job performance is given to be racist or hateful. Never is it just an honest criticism, but it is always seen as something more. A secret conspiracy to attack him simply because of who he is.
But the time has come for Obama to move on. And the country needs to move on. This country desperately needs to move forward, and that is not the Marxist/Socialist meaning of the slogan (do you even know the genesis and historical use of “Forward”? Research it. It will open your eyes)
We need to begin solving the problems that will be facing us in January. I hope you will join me and many millions of others in helping us begin anew in January.
Your response is a perfect example of why the GOP will need a colonoscopy starting on Wednesday . Instead of irrationally vilifying the President, why not offer up a candidate with some actual policies that aren't the same old stuff that got us into this mess? Try having Mitch McConnell state that the goal of the party is to help get something done instead of defeating the man whom the nation elected. After the GOP loses this election, I can see the party lineup for 2016 to run against Hillary. The lineup will be Cain, Huntsman, Perry, Bachmann. Gingrich, Romney, Santorum, and Paul.
Running the same people and expecting a different result is a favorite with the GOP.

The writer that wrote about the E-mails said what time it was in Bengazi when the E-mails were sent. The writer also saaid what time the White House received the E-mail. If you check the time difference the writer showed there was a 6 hour time difference. WELL, than there was a 7 hr time difference, since we set our clocks back last nite there is an 8 hour time difference. This documents the fact the writer isn't good at math or is in some other time zone. Also the E-mail was sent 30-40 minutes after that attack began.
Also to add missery to woe, Who is responsable for deligating Security Deployment? the Senate Security, The Senate Security is being run by whom? The Republicans. It is already a fact that they DID NOT supply the Requested Security as their own beauacrcy delays the request process for days. The Republicans in charge DID NOT notify the President that extra Security was needed. The fault at this point in time sits on the Senate Security Republicans.
The security members (3) that died were EX-Navy seals hired by a Security Firm and Contracted by the US Government. You fail to mention Ambassador Stevens by name. Did you not know his name? The only Admeral that I know of involved here, if he was involved at all is The Director of National Intelligance, James R. Clapper Jr. who (if I'm not mistaken) is a retired 2 Star Admiral. I haven't heard anything from Generals, retired or other. Retired officers, of this stature, will only comment on what is known as being what is known. The investigation is far from being over.
From 1973-1988 this country lost 6 Amabassadors, 4 of them under Republican Leadership, Nixon lost 2, Ford lost 1 and Regan lost 1. Clinton lost 2. In those days we mourned these men losses and didn't want to drag the Presidents out and Lynch them. We were and still are the only true Americans. I don't know what you Clowns are today, you call yourselves Americans but YOU ARE NOT!!

They're talking that way because on Friday there were 22 swing state polls released....of which, Obama led in 19 of them, 2 were tied, and Romney led by 1 point in 1 other.

The Draft Dodger that wants to restart the Draft. And all the job promises that in order to do you have to create/have 250,000 jobs per month for 48 months to get to the total promised. A job promise that cannot be maintained for so long. The screwing the people who are not yet 55 are going to get, People like you and your children and my children are going to get when it's time for them to retire. I have children, Grandchildren, and a couple of Great Grandchildren to think of.

You are right, Dale. A hate cult has been started by Obama and his administration and fed to the liberals. Start educating yourselves on the facts. FACTS are not what Obama repeats over and over. Check out interviews of people who have worked with this administration. His own people. Hear what they say. Actually from their mouths and not from Fox News. My feeling is that many of you are decent people you just don't have the facts. Check out a video made long ago by Clinton's VP who said that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction and were very dangerous. Check out facts and not just what comes out of Obama's mouth. You will find out a lot. And one other thing, I am not a fan of Donald Trump, but if someone offered to give $5million to a charity of my choice, I would show them anything they wanted to see, unless of course I didn't have it. So you see, don't be so worried about Mitt Romney's taxes. That is just a distraction from this administration. Let the IRS deal with him if he is cheating. Be more concerned about why our Ambassador was let to die. Watch interviews with people who know and read the emails from this administration. That is condemnation enough for Obama and his staff who don't know what the heck they are doing.

Where do you get your facts? I always look to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Congressional Budget Office, or other non-partisan sources. What are your non-partisan sources? Right wing think tanks, FOX "News"....what are they?
Doctor Illogic, read again. You can google and find lots of things from credible sources. I do believe Fox is one of them, however, I specifically said not Fox. Plus, look at the whole picture. I know lots of people who stopped unemployment and are still looking. So the "facts" are not accurate.
