President Obama stands to lose as many as 340,000 votes as a result of Hurricane Sandy, not enough to affect the outcome in heavily Democratic Northeastern states, but something that could make a difference in the popular vote if the results of Tuesday’s presidential race are as close as polls indicate, a First Read analysis finds.
“Sandy has the potential to reduce Obama's national popular vote share by depressing turnout in highly Democratic areas along the Eastern Seaboard,” Dr. Michael McDonald of George Mason University, who studies turnout, told First Read. “The storm is unlikely to change the Electoral College outcome, as Obama is heavily favored to win the affected states. A turnout drop could be the difference in a close national election, and thus could shape the political discourse over important policy issues in a possible Obama second term.”

For example, assuming 2008 vote totals and a 15 percent reduction in turnout in the coastal counties most affected by Hurricane Sandy in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Rhode Island, Obama would lose a net of 340,000 votes, including 247,000 out of New York, 60,000 from New Jersey, 29,000 from Connecticut, and 3,600 from Rhode Island.
Officials in states hit by Hurricane Sandy are now deciding how to hold an election next Tuesday in communities where residents have been displaced and there's still no power. NBC's Tom Curry discusses.
Officially, four times in American history has a candidate become president while losing the popular vote -- John Quincy Adams in 1824, Rutherford B. Hayes in 1876, Benjamin Harrison in 1888, and George W. Bush in 2000. (Some political scientists believe it’s actually five, and that John F. Kennedy lost the popular vote in 1960.) Most recently, the country was divided in 2000 when Al Gore won the popular vote by 540,000, but lost the Electoral College narrowly because of 537 votes in Florida.
It would be even more accurate to dive into individual precincts, but here’s a rough a county-by-county breakdown:

And then you might actually figure out what transpired regarding Libya. I assume on that you might want the official report - when we get it. You know full well if they had reported wrong info they would be hearing the same things they are right now. Then again there are those rewards from someone lying about you. But you know what if Obama gets a lot of votes up there where the hurricane was you can bet you guys will whine as loud as you can. Because that is what you do! Obama is going to win because America is not stupid or ignorant enough to elect Romney to anything again. Besides he has done a great job and he deserves it. Sandy could cost Obama 300,000 votes.

She didn't listen and she just made it much worse. I wonder how long the republican party will last after this fiasco. The only way anyone on the radical right can win is by lying to the people. If the election results are substantially different than what the alphabet national networks have been telling us, then we know Obama has promised change and delivered to us a socialist-totalitarian police state where the media and journalists are under the complete control and financing of the White House. We'll know this one way or the other on Tuesday. It's one of the most important "dots" for us to connect.

1) If your home is in the path of Sandy, Immediately retire to your second home.
2)If your home sustained damages from Sandy, ask your parents for money to fix it.
3) make sure you've moved your cars to the top floor of your garage.
4) Sandy is violent, because she was raised by a single parent.
5) don't worry about evacuating if it's a legitimate storm. Your house has a way of shutting down to protect itself.
6) my thoughts and prayers go out to the 53% of you.
7) 53% of people I care about the other 47%, you're on your own.
8) if you survive I'll take credit for it.
9) if you must drive in the storm, use an extra strength rope to secure your dog to the roof.
10) chill out- for Sandy will end earlier than male named storms. She has dinner to cook for her family.
