Subscribe to RSSSARASOTA, Fla. -- Promising to give a Sarasota audience "the whole load" of his GOP criticism, Vice President Joe Biden unloaded a barrage of derision Wednesday over a Romney campaign ad alleging that American automakers are planning to move manufacturing overseas to China.
Calling the Jeep ad "one of the most flagrantly dishonest ads I can ever remember in my political career," Biden called the allegation - which has been widely disputed by fact checkers and by the auto companies themselves - "an outrageous lie."
"All my time I have never heard an American corporation in the waning hours of the campaign engage with that kind of description of what a presidential candidate's doing," Biden said after quoting a General Motors statement calling the Romney ad "campaign politics at its cynical worst."
Responding to Biden's criticism, Romney adviser Kevin Madden said "We've got an ad out that we believe makes the case for why Gov. Romney would be stronger for the auto industry and why the auto industry's an important part of a strong economy. They've got an ad that they're using to make their case to the public, and we'll leave that with voters."
In Sarasota, Biden claimed that auto workers in Ohio have been frightened about losing their jobs because of the ad, calling United Auto Workers representatives to ask if its allegations are true.
"Folks, the president's job is not to show confusion," he said. "It's to plant the seeds of confidence."
The vice president's remarks to a crowd of over a thousand came 1100 miles away from the rust belt cities where the Romney ad is on the air, emphasizing how strongly the Obama team hopes to push back against the commercial and make its claims into a character issue for Romney. President Barack Obama is not on the campaign trail today, traveling in New Jersey with GOP governor Chris Christie to survey damage from SuperStorm Sandy.

For the first time in this election cycle, as of today's averaged polling numbers from Real Clear Politics and FiveThirtyEight, I've come to the conclusion that Obama's re-election is a certainty... barring, of course, Adelson and the Koch Brothers buying the electronic tabulation in just enough swing states to make the difference.
It's been fun, Righties, but you should have gone with Huntsman...and you should have cut loose the Tea Party and all that it has grown to represent.
At least that way, you might have salvaged part of your national reputation in preparation for a fight with Hillary in 2016.

What the Liberal media does not share with you is that the voter registration for DEMS is way down even by 2004 standards and Republican registration is way up even by 2010 standards. There is little hope for Obama even if the Liberal media polls weighting DEMOCRATS 7 or 9 points more than Republicans showing that the race is more or less tied. It is not Gallop who does not rate their polls has Romney ahead by 6 and Rasmussen who also does not weight their polls has had for a week or more Romney ahead by 2. All things considered the enthusiasm gap favoring Romney a lot and the Independents going for Romney by nearly 2 to 1 and that the the gender gap has all but been erased for Romney but Obama is still trailing badly amongst men I think is is all but impossible that Obama has any chance of winning.
Also the liberal media covering up for Obama and helping him to lie to America is not helping Obama as they want . People can read the news from many sources. IE:

This just in: Fox announces they are considering actually broadcasting a true unbiased news story - their stock immediately dropped and half their sponsors announced they are contemplating leaving.
I stopped using Fox as a reputable source after they put on that special questioning if NASA faked the 1969 moon landing, but several years previous to that they broadcast "Alien Abduction" as a "documentary", so it really shouldn't have been such a shock. But since I cut back on my DirectTV package, I no longer get Comedy Central or any soft porn channels, so Fox still fills a need on occasion. It's propaganda for the weak minded and mild amusement for the rest of us.
It is not just Joe Biden who is correctly and forcefully pointing out the fact that Romney and now Ryan are LYING about the Auto Rescue. It is General Motors and Chrysler who are pointing out that Romney and Ryan are LYING. Next

But back to Romney's fake food distribution photo-op, it was supposed to be to benefit the Red Cross, but anyone who knows anything at all about the Red Cross knows that they don't want cases of bottled water, they want CASH.
The bottled water and canned food drives are for local emergencies for the most part.
In fact, giving cans of food and cases of bottled water is actually a burden for the Red Cross when they are trying to deal with a regional or national disaster.
I guess Romney hasn't ever helped out in a disaster before. If he had, he would know that.
Which is odd, because when he was Governor of Mass, there was a disaster about 3 miles from his house, but he didn't even drop by.
This Romney add is a classic example of the odiously dishonest tactic of "quote mining". Each individual sentence is, technically, factual. But each was taken deliberately out of context and then reassembled into a paragraph whose overall meaning is the EXACT OPPOSITE of what the original sources of those individual sentences intended to say.
This is more than just a lie, and worse by far than just a lie. It is a deliberate and cynical attempt to mislead, distort and confuse.
Romney and Ryan are not ethically qualified to be president and vice president.
At this point it doesn't matter anymore if Obama and Biden were cardboard boxes, it would still be morally imperative to vote for them. Because the kind of unethical behavior epitomized by this add simply cannot be allowed to be rewarded at the ballot box, if we care about the future health and functioning of American democracy.

Romney has made himself available to every turn and every corner, and he can change his previous decision and stand, for the election sake, in which some may be against his own party's agenda, e.g. abortion. Once, I was told that I had a problem of not listening. As I was listening to people telling me about things, I was already consumed in preparing my answer! Here is Romney´s problem that many of us experience - not listening and wanting to come with quick answers so he appears as if he is in charge or well informed on issues. We have seen it on Detroit with the - let Detroit go bankrupt stance and wanting to spin himself out of it(wanted to appear a business man in charge), we have heard him in the middle of the night giving answers on Libya, we have seen how he plays foreseer on natural calamities and how best to for Americans to leave rescue and recovery to the private sector, how he thinks of Russia with Cold War glasses plus plenty many issues.Romney is now a qualified shooter from the waist and he misses. Romney is not alone! But for Romney, I would recommend reading Freud who said - if you listen and talk less, you would learn a thing or two. The advantage is giving well balanced answers. For now, Romney could easily be called a distortionist
Four more years of what? Sluggish economy, lack of leadership, spending the country into debt that even Greece can laugh at. He has a plan... if so, why didn't he implement it the last four years? Sorry, he had his chance and he failed.

Instead of criticizing Willard while he's lying, let's review a few of the President's accomplishments:
1. The first bill President Obama signed was the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, to help women fight back when they don't get equal pay for equal work.
2. His Recovery Act supported millions of jobs and helped to stave off a second Great Depression.
3. He pushed for and won middle-class tax cuts that benefitted every American worker, and saved the typical family $3,600 in taxes over the last four years.
4. President Obama rescued the auto industry, and now GM and Chrysler are healthier than they've ever been. The American auto industry has added nearly a quarter of a million jobs since June 2009 -- and they most likely wouldn't exist right now without President Obama's leadership.
5. He doubled funding for Pell Grants, helping to make college more affordable for nearly 10 million families.
6. His student loan reform ended billions in subsidies to banks serving as middlemen and reinvested those savings directly into students.
7. The President established the American Opportunity Tax Credit, worth up to $10,000 over four years of college.
8. His Race to the Top Initiative helped spur nearly every state to raise academic standards.
9. His tax cuts, social-welfare programs, and economic policies lifted nearly 7 million Americans above the federal poverty line in 2010.
10. President Obama has signed 18 tax cuts for small businesses since taking office.
11. We've seen 5.2 million new private-sector jobs over the last 31 months.
12. The unemployment rate is at the lowest level since President Obama took office.
13. Health care reform -- passed after decades of failed attempts by every previous President -- provides affordable health coverage to every American and will lower premiums by an average of $2,000 per family by 2019.
14. Obamacare expanded access to lifesaving preventive care such as cancer screenings and immunizations with no out-of-pocket costs for 54 million Americans.
15. Obamacare ends insurance discrimination against the 129 million Americans with pre-existing conditions.
16. Because of Obamacare, over 3 million more young adults have health insurance today than would if the new law hadn't passed.
17. The parents of over 17 million children with pre-existing conditions no longer have to worry that their children will be denied coverage.
18. President Obama has ordered the overhaul of federal government regulations to make them smarter, practical, and more efficient. Just a fraction of these commonsense initiatives will help save businesses $10 billion in the next five years alone.
19. His historic investments in clean energy have helped more than double the amount of electricity we obtain from wind and solar sources and helped increase biofuel production to its highest level in history.
20. President Obama is doubling fuel efficiency standards, which will save drivers more than $8,000 at the gas pump, not to mention lessen the impact of automobiles on our environment.
21. President Obama has taken unprecedented action to address climate change, reaching historic international agreements to curb carbon emissions, and taking action here at home to reduce carbon pollution from our vehicles and promote clean energy production.
22. He has taken historic action to protect our environment -- signing one of the largest expansions of protected wilderness in a generation and putting in place standards to reduce toxic air pollution that will save thousands of lives.
23. President Obama fought for and won landmark Wall Street reform that reins in the abuses that led to the financial crisis and ends the era of taxpayer bailouts and "too big to fail."
24. Wall Street reform created the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the nation's first federal agency focused solely on consumer financial protection -- and the Bureau is already protecting families from unfair and abusive financial practices from Wall Street banks and shadowy corners of the financial industry.
25. As part of President Obama's commitment to transparency, the White House has posted its visitor records online for the first time ever.
26. President Obama's all-of-the-above approach to energy has helped cut the United States' dependence on foreign oil to its lowest level in 20 years.
27. President Obama responsibly ended the war in Iraq.
28. He announced a plan to end the war in Afghanistan and transition security responsibility to the Afghan people.
29. President Obama sent the largest security assistance package to Israel in history and funded the Iron Dome system, which is protecting Israeli homes and schools from rocket attacks.
30. President Obama rallied the international community to implement the toughest sanctions on Iran in history.
31. Through the President's historic increases in Veterans Affairs funding, he has expanded and improved healthcare and job training access for our returning veterans.
32. President Obama negotiated the New START Treaty with Russia to reduce the number of nuclear weapons in both countries. At the same time, he also secured commitments from dozens of other countries to lock down nuclear materials.
33. His administration naturalized 11,146 military service members as U.S. citizens in 2010; more than in any year since 1955.
34. President Obama set a bold new plan for the future of NASA space exploration, using the skill and ability of the private sector for short trips to the International Space Station, while building a new vehicle for exploration of distant space, and doing everything in his power to support the economy on Florida's Space Coast.
35. President Obama recognizes that tourism is one of America's largest economic engines; he's worked to encourage international visitors to come here, maintaining our security while keeping millions of Americans in good, paying jobs.
36. He has affirmed his personal support of marriage equality, directed the Justice Department to stop defending DOMA in federal courts, and took the practical and compassionate step of extending hospital visitation rights to same-sex partners.
37. He fought for and won the repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell, allowing gay and lesbian members of the military to serve openly for the first time in history.
38. When Congress failed to fix our broken immigration system, his administration did everything in its power to improve it, streamlining the legal immigration process and announcing a policy that lifts the shadow of deportation from hard working young immigrants brought to the U.S. as children.
39. Oh, and he gave the order to send troops in after Osama Bin Laden -- and has decimated al-Qaeda's senior leadership.
Yeah and let's not forget that Obama stood by and did absolutely NOTHING while our Ambassador, 2 Navy Seals and another American were being slaughtered by Islamic rabid animals. Oh yeah, he did do something, he skipped off to Nevada to "campaign" then yucked it up on late night TV shows, and oh yeah, he blatantly LIED for almost 2 weeks after the fact to America that the Benghazi attack was caused by some "video". It shows me plain and simple whose side this guy is on, and it isn't our side. He needs to be tried for treason, because in my book what he did is exactly that!
Anyone who votes for a Commander-in-Chief who did absolutely NOTHING to help our Ambassador, Navy Seals and another American is in my book just as guilty of murdering them as those who actually pulled the trigger.
