Subscribe to RSSVice President Joe Biden made a reference to possible future political ambitions at a stop Wednesday at a restaurant in Florida.
A short while after an earlier rally -- where the vice president boasted of "being a good Biden" today -- Biden slipped into a characteristic moment, to the delight of DC's chattering class.
NBC's Carrie Dann, who is traveling with the vice president, describes the scene:
At an off-the-record stop at a restaurant called "400 station" in Sarasota, Joe Biden spoke on the phone with the brother of a voter who wanted him to chat with her Republican relative.
After chatting about the health insurance law, he concluded, "Well look, I'm not trying to talk you into voting for me, I just wanted to say hi to you, okay? And after it's all over when your insurance rates go down, then you'll vote for me in 2016. I'll talk to you later."
Biden is among the handful of Democrats included in early speculative lists of possible presidential candidates in 2016, at which point the former Delaware senator would be 73-years-old.
His viability as a candidate, though, might well hinge on the outcome of the 2012 election next Tuesday, when a second term for President Barack Obama is far from certain.

Insurance rates up, taxes going up yet again.... sure, some ppl are paying less but a lot more are paying more. and why?
Because we make more money. I'm sorry not all are quite as successful but you know what.... I built my business <ok, my husband just might have had a thing to do with it.>. How dare anyone say I didn't do it myself, I have the seriously depleted bank acct to prove it. Not one damn loan...this is MINE. You know, with that money I SAVED for years in order to make my dream a reality. I certainly didn't go to Obama with my hand out but I guarantee he sure won't give a flying fig when I am forced out because of rising taxes. I work 12-14 hrs a day and have a family to raise.
When you all put that kind of time in, come talk to me, until then... you can take your Obamacare birth control and choke on it oh and I'll pay a penalty every year just so I know my hard earned money is not used to pay for some stupid female who couldn't keep her legs closed to get an abortion.
You say if we vote for Romney we don't love god.... God helps those who help themselves. Better yourself.... do something more productive than sit back waiting for Obamacare to finish burying this country.

Just like my husband and I, except that as an engineer it is not feasible for me to quit working.
My husband is starting his own business, however capitalizing on over 20 years experience in shipbuilding (he was laid off in April due to downsizing in preparation of the closure of the shipyard). Noone wants to hire someone with that level of experience, so we are starting our own business rather than going on unemployment. Long hours and a lot of hard work - and no thanks to the federal government who throws a wrench into the works just to give our hard-earned money to some lazy individual who can't keep their legs closed or their pants zipped.
I wish you and your husband all the best. At least his business won't be 'banned'. It's not an easy road but really is worth it when your doors open. The trick now is to keep them open.
I get it two-fold; once from taxes and the rest from the anticipation of my shop being obsolete every time a left winger starts talking gun bans. Because you know Miss Tammy, it is not feasible at all that a Legal citizen should ever have the want/NEED to protect themselves from the criminals. Funny, last I checked, I have the Constitutionally given right to Keep and Bear Arms.
4 more years? We'll be a country completely at the Federal governments mercy, forced to do what they think is 'best' for us. Sad that somewhere along the way the people have forgotten that issues like healthcare and immigration are supposed to be mandated by the STATES, by officials who are actually voted in by popular majority of the population of that State, not some Electoral college. I enjoy my 44 oz Pepsi's every day because Cali will likely be next in that new 'regulation'.

He is the LAST person I would want as president - which is why there is no way I would vote for Obama. For 4 years - I have been waiting - no Joe - I am hoping I do not have to wait another 4. People need jobs and jobs with insurance that is paid by employer and employee. Now the earned income credit has to be used to pay the penalty for not having insurance.
2016 will be all Hillary. Biden seems to get lost in his empty brain if he thinks he has a chance to beat Hillary in 2016. The fact that he is heatbeat away from the presidency now is scary enough .
I don't think she will run, I think the Libya thing is going to tarnish her. I would like to see her run but I don't think she will.

The U.S. Mission in Benghazi convened an “emergency meeting” less than a month before the assault that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans, because Al Qaeda had training camps in Benghazi and the consulate could not defend against a “coordinated attack,” according to a classified cable reviewed by Fox News.
Summarizing an Aug. 15 emergency meeting convened by the U.S. Mission in Benghazi, the Aug. 16 cable marked “SECRET” said that the State Department’s senior security officer, also known as the RSO, did not believe the consulate could be protected.
“RSO (Regional Security Officer) expressed concerns with the ability to defend Post in the event of a coordinated attack due to limited manpower, security measures, weapons capabilities, host nation support, and the overall size of the compound,” the cable said.

Biden, get a load buddy. Premiums since the start of Obamacare have risen to all time highs. The elderly are being denied coverage. All of us, go ask someone on medicare how their coverage has been since in start of Obamacare. Ask them how their premiums have increased on their fixed incomes. Let them know that Medicare advantage will increase next month. Ask them, Find out just how many have found out that certain routine tests or services are no longer covered under Obamacare. How many seniors will die because of the lack of coverage. You dont have to believe me voters, But, at least go ask some seniors, find out for yourselves. Premiums will go down in 2016, When was the last time you saw one of your bills go done and stay there. Your a joke Biden. Say anything to get elected. thats who i want in the presidents chair..

Did he mean offering credits for the middle class to purchase private insurance? Was he referring to those exempt plans?
