Biden, Clinton decry new Romney ad

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Pushing back hard at a new ad by political opponents, Vice President Joe Biden and former President Bill Clinton accused the Mitt Romney campaign Monday of saying "absolutely anything to win" and engaging in an attack on President Obama's auto industry record that is "the biggest load of bull in the world."

Speaking at a campaign rally in Ohio with former President Clinton, Vice President Joe Biden takes on what he sees as "patently false assertions" found in a Romney auto ad.

Related: Jeep ad caps Romney effort to recast opposition to auto bailout

The tough rhetoric comes after the Romney campaign launched an ad in Ohio claiming that ""Obama took GM and Chrysler into bankruptcy and sold Chrysler to Italians, who are going to build Jeeps in China."

Speaking to over 4,000 supporters in Youngstown, Clinton flatly decried that as "bull."

"It turns out, Jeep is reopening in China because they've made so much money here, they can afford to do it and they are going on with their plans here," he said. "They put out a statement today saying it was the biggest load of bull in the world that they would ever consider shutting down their American operations. They are roaring in America, thanks to people like the people of Ohio."

Biden, whose stump speech was even more littered with folksy appeals than usual as he shared the stage with Clinton, accused Romney of "pirouettes more than a ballerina" on his auto industry stances and called the ad "an absolutely patently false assertion."

Mitt Romney campaigns in the critical battleground state of Ohio as a poll shows a dead heat between the governor and President Obama. Watch the entire speech.

"Ladies and gentlemen, have they no shame!?" he added. "I mean, what? Romney will say anything, absolutely anything to win, it seems."

Obama's record on the auto industry bailout is largely credited for buoying his poll numbers in swing state Ohio, a firewall Romney is eager to burn through.

Biden on Monday also accused Romney of proposing to "liquidate" the auto industry, a claim that the GOP nominee vigorously contests.

“Today, Vice President Biden falsely claimed that Mitt Romney wanted to ‘liquidate’ the auto industry, and was dishonest about the administration’s own record," said Romney spokesman Ryan Williams. "Mitt Romney’s support for loan guarantees and warranties for the U.S. auto industry is clear. The Obama campaign is less concerned with engaging in a meaningful conversation about his failed policies and more concerned with arguing against facts about their record they dislike."

Well this could be interesting since Bill Clinton still remains the most popular past President there is. IF he were able to run again, it would be no contest and he would win - hands down. His calling Romney on his ad's deliberate lie is good for Obama/

And, guaranteed he will get overflow crowds at each event he headlines. Mitt is such a pathetic liar - just can't help himself because he doesn't know how to tell the truth - just whatever lie he believes will get him votes wherever he is.

Cannot wait for him to go away - for good!

Romney IS saying anything to win. He has a lot of $$Adelsons leaning on him who want his big tax cut - Adelson will get $2.3 billion in tax breaks out of Romney's $5 trillion tax cut plan. The tax cut that Romney vehemently DENIED in debate #1.

It is more than wanting to win. I think you'll find plenty of folks now, who have realized that Mitt Romney is unable to discern truth from lies.

He is unable to track what he said when, and when faced with a correction even on a BIG LIE, Romney is unable to recognize it, or do the right thing. For sure the big guys are leaning on him to say whatever they want - that is the kind of President he will be. But there is more going on.

He seems to have a mental issue, and it will become more and more apparent.

Wow, the balls on democrats here. Nothing Romney said was untrue. They took the implication of Chinese manufacturing of Jeep as it coming from the US job market... where have I heard this implication before... oh yeah! Obama uses it in reference to his territorial taxation attacks! Shocking. But liberals will ignore this. Where else.... oh yes... Obama's 5 Trillion dollar taxation claim! That is only if there are zero loopholes. Not like Obama would leave out key information... Yet here they cry foul? Hilarious.

The facts are Jeep and Chrysler were sold during the GM bailout talks. Fiat has already stated they will be transitioning some of the manufacturing to China, others to Italy, but also expanding some in Ohio. These are all the facts. Romney is pointing out the fact that Jeep/Chrysler were sold under Obama as part of the auto-bailout talks. Nothing is untruthful there.

EarnMyVote... the US has not made money back on the bailouts. You are simply wrong. If all stock was sold right now, they would lose over 20 billion. If you account for all the corporate loopholes Obama gave GM, it would be over 30 billion. Oh, you liberals didn't know that GM received a ton of new loopholes only for them in the bailout?

If we do not have a viable economic plan for the next 4 years our entire economy is going to suffer, including the auto industry.

I read the President's economic plan for the next four years. The Plan is devoid of detail to include budget. It appears to be primarily a wish list. It seems that the President wants the federal government to spend a lot of money that it does not have to train math and science teacher's to teach vocational classes at the JC level for jobs that do not really exist in this country. Foreign manufacturers are paying their workers roughly a tenth of the minimum that our workers require and that is why they can always beat domestic manufactures on price. Neither candidate seems to have a solution for this problem. It is our huge trade deficit that is degrading efforts to revive the economy by injecting more money.

In many states, state colleges and universities are having to raise tuition to make ends meet because of tighter state budgets. The President wants to withdrew federal funding from these schools so that they either have to raise tuition even more or close down facilities. The President thinks that this effort will help improve the quality of education in America.

The President is expecting to pass his increased taxes on the "Rich". He has been trying to do that for the past four years but he somehow thinks the can prevail in the next 4 years. This tax will at best take 100 billion dollars per year from the private sector and put it into the public sector. The President promised that the 2012 federal deficit would not exceed 229.27 billion dollars yet the actual deficit exceeded 1.1 trillion dollars so his efforts to date to cut the deficit have been less than successful. He is proposing more spending and unspecified cuts and which has been provided it is impossible that any actually deficit reduction will take place. So I am looking at a nominal annual deficit of 1 trillion dollars assuming the increased taxes on the "rich" passes.

At the heart of the President's plan is the idea of bringing the troops home in 2014 and with the savings use half of it to start paying down our debt and use the other half for infrastructure improvements. To start paying down the debt the federal government has to run a surplus. To run a surplus with half of the piece dividend, the federal government will have to realize a savings of more than 2 trillion dollars per year from bringing the troops home. That amount is more than twice a s much as we are paying for defense including all overseas operations. The President's plan is mathematically impossible. Mathematically impossible plans are at the least less than viable. The President's plan is an example of fantasy economics.

My biggest concern is all the debt that our federal government has been accumulating. With a debt or more than 16 trillion dollars and huge deficits predicted for at least another decade, I estimate that the money that the federal government is borrowing today will end up costing the tax payers more than 10 times the amount borrowed to repay over the next 180 years. Paying 10 times the going rate for goods and services is not good management. The President has yet to present a detailed plan for repaying the debt. The tax payers have a right to know how much all of this federal borrowing to going to end up costing them.

One thing that Romney could attack Obama for regarding the auto bailout is that some of the bailout money went to con artists who closed an auto parts company in the US and moved it to China. They took the money and ran with it. The problem with Mitt using this as an attack on bailout money being wasted is that the con artist in at least one case was named "Willard Mitt Romney."

Where did Romney state they were considering shutting down American operations?

It is truly amazing how libs can take a simple straightforward statement - a true statement - apply their own fabricated interpretation ... and then protest it as a lie and ..... so many morons fall for it.

A man dies, goes to heaven, stands before St. Peter, and see a huge wall of clocks.
The man asks what all the clocks are for and St. Peter explains, "These are lie clocks. Everyone on earth has a lie clock.
Every time a person lies, the clock hands move."
Pointing to one, the man says, "Whose clock is that?"
"That's Mother Teresa's," St. Peter answers. "The hands have never moved, indicating she never told a lie."
"Incredible," the man responds. "And whose clock is that?"
St. Peter responds, "That's Abraham Lincoln's. The hands moved twice telling us he told two lies in his entire life."
"Where is Mitt Romney's clock?" the man asks.
"Romney's clock is in Jesus' office," St. Peter says. "He's using it as a ceiling fan."

READ IT AND REALIZE OBAMA IS LYING TO YOU!!!! ABOUT EVERYTHING!

"The American auto industry is vital to our national interest as an employer and as a hub for manufacturing. A managed bankruptcy may be the only path to the fundamental restructuring the industry needs. It would permit the companies to shed excess labor, pension and real estate costs. The federal government should provide guarantees for post-bankruptcy financing and assure car buyers that their warranties are not at risk."

Listen my friends
And you will see,
What King Obama
Has done to you and me.

On January twentieth
Two thousand and nine,
He took control
We started our decline
.

With record unemployment
And people forlorn,
Our tax money spent
Poverty the Norm.

With free phones for some
And EBT cards too,
The lazy ones come
Freebies from me and you.

On November the sixth
Two thousand and twelve,
You must go vote
Or were going to hell.

The country deserves better
Than the King and Moochele
,America must survive
And ring the liberty bell.

after all, let us remember that clinton is a convicted pervert and an accused rapist...

In Wisconsin, Republican state Senator Randy Hopper, while claiming to still live with his wife, was actually living outside the district he represents with a much younger 25-year-old mistress.

NRCC uses a strip club named Forty Deuce in Las Vegas for fundraiser gatherings with Pete Sessions in attendance.

Mike Duval a Republican politician and a former member of the California State Assembly, resigned after his sex comments were broadcast in Sept. 2009. In the video, the married family-values crusader from Yorba Linda talks in graphic detail about women he said he slept with

Mark Sanford, Republican governor of South Carolina, disappears during Father's Day weekend, returning to confess an extramarital affair in Argentina

etc. etc.etc.

Mitt:

You just gotta love Joe for the dribble that comes out of his mouth. Actually agreeing with Mitt? That goverment kicked American's out of their jobs and those jobs will now reappear in China.

Maybe the ad should have covered the following Government Motors PROBLEMS:

  1. The American taxpayers still own about 28% of Government Motors stock.
  2. The Secretary of the Treasury indicated recently that $ 25,000,000,000 still owed to the American taxpayers will be LOST.
  3. However, that didn't stop GM from giving out bonuses to their UNION WORKERS. A UAW official told members that eligible members of unions representing General Motors would be receiving a $1,000 bonus (reported 6 June 2012).
  4. Government Motors currently is mired in pension/health care debt at the tune of $ 134,000,000,000 to Union retirees and is trying to "offset" the debt by giving retiring Union workers LUMP SUM offers. Sort of sounds like UPS.
  5. Meanwhile, the Secretary of the Treasury was instrumental in TERMINATING about 20,000 NON-Union Delphi employee's pensions.
  6. Government Motors recently announced they were LOSING about $ 39,000 for EVERY VOLT SOLD.
  7. Recent profits have fallen 41% because of "slow" European sales.

Yep, Mr. Obama saved the auto industry......Mr. Biden and Mr. Clinton !!!!!!!!!

Government Motors will ask for ANOTHER BAILOUT "AFTER" the Presidential election, then Mr. Obama will have more room to negotiate with Congress.

Magic Tonic Kills Brain Cells......"Hey people, I actually counted some of these Liberals posts who are here every single day posting some 14 + hours a day. I've counted some of their single days postings at over 175. What does that tell you ?"

Romney will lie out his teeth, that's what sociopaths do...

Is
Romney A Sociopath?

Posted on07 September 2012. Tags: Romney,
Sociopath

1. Ryan claimed that President Obama
“took” $716 billion from Medicare to fund Obamacare and that he and Romney will
“protect” Medicare. But Obama did not “take” any funds from Medicare. He
achieved savings in the program by lowering future reimbursement rates to
medical providers, like doctors and hospitals. People on Medicare today and in
the future will not be affected by the cuts. Ryan also failed to acknowledge
that his own budget plan envisions a similar $700 billion savings from
Medicare. He also proposes to privatize Medicare and replace it with a voucher
system in which seniors will have to use vouchers to buy private health
insurance.

2. Ryan again criticized the Obama stimulus package, but didn’t acknowledge
that he lobbied the Obama administration for stimulus funds for his own
Congressional district.

3. Romney criticized Obama for government bailouts, but didn’t acknowledge that
one of his companies, Bain Capital, would have collapsed were it not for a $10
million federal bailout.

4. Ryan blamed Obama for the closure of a GM plant in Ryan’s district in
Wisconsin, but Ryan knows that the plant closed during the Bush administration.
Ryan also criticized Obama for the auto bailout without acknowledging that he
also voted for the auto bailout. Ryan also didn’t acknowledge that the auto
bailout saved the US auto industry, and that Romney had proposed allowing the
industry to go bankrupt.

5. Ryan blamed the credit downgrade of the US government on Obama, when S&P
stated it was in part because the federal government had not raised taxes — tax
increases that Ryan and his fellow GOP representatives have steadfastly refused
to vote for.

6. Ryan criticized Obama for not embracing the recommendations of the
bipartisan Simpson-Bowles debt commission. Ryan, however, did not acknowledge
that he was a member of that commission and voted against its recommendations.

7. Ryan criticized Obama for not balancing the federal budget, but did not
acknowledge that his own budget plan doesn’t envision a balanced budget for at
least twenty years.

8. Romney and Ryan repeated the lie that Obama said in a speech that small
business owners did not “build” their own businesses. Obama said that business
owners throughout the country are helped by the fact that government builds
roads that the businesses and their employees use and operates schools that
educate future workers.

9. Romney and Ryan criticized Obama for the failure of some small businesses
during his administration, effectively saying that it’s okay to blame the
government if a business fails, but it’s not okay for the government to take
some credit when it succeeds.

10. Romney and Ryan blamed Obama for not accomplishing more during his first
term, but failed to acknowledge that Republicans in Congress attempted to block
or actually blocked nearly all of Obama’s initiatives.

11. Romney said that Obama embarked on an “apology tour” around the world
immediately after taking office, but Obama never once apologized for America’s
behavior to anyone.

12. Romney claimed that Obama raised taxes on the middle class, but Obama has
raised no taxes during his administration.

13. Romney claimed that when he ran Bain Capital, it “helped” companies save
jobs, when, in fact, Bain Capital’s typical business practice was to saddle
companies it took over with huge amounts of debt and outrageous “management
fees,” thereby forcing the companies to lay off thousands of workers.

14. In a TV-ad barrage, Romney and Ryan say Obama eliminated the work
requirements in welfare. The president did not; he allowed states to relax the
requirements, but only if they could show that more welfare recipients in their
states were actually getting jobs.

Romney lying? Not really. On planet Romney your audience determines your reality. So what ever they want to hear you say is what you tell them. The next group may be 180 degrees opposite but remember, it's planet Romney and your audience determines what you think.

Clinton (a married man) lied about having an affair. Shocking! Never heard anything of the sort before.

I have problems with Clinton's Administration but that is mostly concerning letting NAFTA go through. The Republicans spent $50 million investigating the Clinton's and basically came up empty. Meanwhile the 50 FBI agents spending time chasing Republican fantasies could have been investigating Muslims that overstayed their visa's and where taking flight lessons at a rinky dink flight school and the overstaying students were unconcerned with how to take off or land the plane. Even when the flight instructor thought it was fishy but they didn't have the time to investigate it because the RWNJ's were concerned that Bill got a BJ (jealous?) and lied about it because he's a married man.

BTW the Romney/Ryan ticket would stink like a bucket of carp left out in the hot summer sun all day no matter how often they flip flopped about their positions.

First of all there was no private capital available to restructure the industry. Romney only called for post-bankruptcy financing guarantees from the Government!

But you forgot Romney's Opening Statement:

IF General Motors, Ford and Chrysler get the bailout that their chief executives asked for yesterday, you can kiss the American automotive industry goodbye. It won’t go overnight, but its demise will be virtually guaranteed.

Meanwhile, Romney just sits on his hands while the president acts. It doesn't stop him from spewing more lies about Jeep in his latest ads. Isn't this the time to stop lying? Give it a rest Romney!

Sandy's eye should be passing over my head in a couple of hours, and I feel better about how the president is handling it than Romney would. Of course, Romney would privatize FEMA. President Clinton was impeached (the equivalent of an indictment) but he was acquitted in the the Senate.

He has never been tried in any court.

He voluntarily agreed to have his license suspended from both the Arkansas and Supreme Court.

The only President to actually be disbarred, permanently, was a Republican, Richard Nixon. For Republicans convictions, just go through the Nixon and Reagan administration rosters of convicts.

Jeep came out immediately after Romney pedaled that falsehood and refuted it, but yet the R&R campaign is still trying to sell it as gospel.

Here's a toss-up question, Mitt...the sun comes up in which quadrant? You (or your staff) only get one chance to answer it correctly, and given your track record for accuracy, you'd better do some research...BEFORE you respond.

The big question is... Why Romney and Ryan lie so much?

The NYTimes speculates that it is because the current set of facts about the world and the US economy are not sufficient to un-elect the President.
To win they would have to make things up to make them seem worse than they are.
There could be an element of this...
...their politics has placed protecting the privilege of elites over all other concerns and considerations.

By Wednesday afternoon the Obama administration will have an ad out calling Romney on his callous, lying ad placed while Americans are struggling to save their lives and property. If he says he is putting his campaign on hold, he should put this ad on ice for good. It is a mark of the desparation he is resorting to to make a point. A God fearing man should not be lying to gain the highest office in the land, which he is doing routinely and constantly. This man doesn't deserve to win. God help us and forgive us if he does.

In 4 decades+ of politics and presidential politics, this POS is the biggest and most egregious liar I have ever seen. As much as he lies, he should get better at it but he doesn't. He is very transparent. All the more shameless becuase he would have us believe that he's a Christian. He even makes Santoum look good. What a lying SOB...absolutely without shame or conscience.

The liberal hate is as disgusting as it is poisonous. Mitt Romney is not wrong, he is simply using the same lying tactics Obama has used since he began his first run for office. Fighting fire with fire.

As for Chrysler, they build lots of "American" cars in Canada.

But that doesn't fit with the rancid hate-filled liberal mantra.

What is laughable is that these online ding dongs actually think Obama is going to win.

I'll be watching for your "shocked face" on November 6th, as the drubbing will be early and final.

Wow Bo - that is a very revealing article. It begs the question, Is Mitt running for president or is Queen Ann? She certainly has no qualms in feeling entitled.

I wanted to talk it over with her. And every time I'd say, "Let's talk about the pros and cons," she'd say, "Talk to the hand, talk to the hand. We're just doing this. We've got to do it." And so she absolutely insisted that I get in this because she was convinced that I was the only one that had the capacity to beat President Obama. http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2012/10/romney-fundraiser-obama-business-evil

Of course, no Queen Ann statement, the modern day equivalent of Anita Bryant with her plastic blond Barbie hair, can go without a her usual snippy quip. I have to love this follow up from the blond bombshell wannabe.

So I'm glad…Mitt is grown up to you all.

The GOP Party will do and say anything from deep in the trenches in order to win a race with dishonesty and without integrity.

Isn't it funny how Tag Romney has bought voting computers for 8 different states??? (such as : Ohio, Florida, etc., etc.) Need I say any more?

Voting machines should be eliminated, and instead use a paper trail with serial # ID's on absentee ballots through the mail. The ballots and counting should be done on one nationwide tracking system. Voter Registration should still be required as well, but prior to 90 days before an election for free. Eliminating costly (plus possibly doctored) voting machines could save the states a lot of money as-well-as inexperienced, or corrupt help.

GET OUT and VOTE for STRAIGHT DEMOCRATIC TICKET ACROSS the BOARD !!

VOTE OBAMA/BIDEN on NOV. 6, 2012 (if not earlier) !! Don't let the "True to Vote" (a Republican Organization) stalkers intimidate you at the polls. In the first place they are not supposed to be there.

It's amusing reading the little Libbies comments about Barrack Hussein saving the "auto industry".

He didn't save an industry.

He saved 2 auto manufacturers that by all rights should have been allowed to collapse. Chrysler already suffered bankruptcy in the 80's and never had more than its fan base support afterwards.

GM had been hemorrhaging since 2000 under incompetent leadership and distorted vision. Rick Wagner single handedly drove the company to insolvency by methodically selling off its assets to fatten up the bottom line to insure his, and his cronies, salaries and performance bonuses didn't suffer.

The auto industry was doing fine otherwise. Obviously Ford, Toyota, Honda, Volkswagen, BMW, Mercedes, KIA and others were affected by the recession but not to the level of GM and Chrysler who were simply results of incompetent management and bad marketing decisions.

Today we are no longer just the "Big Three" in its historic sense. The US auto industry is an amalgam of domestic and foreign manufacturers. The Big Three is not even a true description as Chrysler is now a foreign company owned by Italy's Fiat.

By the way, I hope all you "anti-outsourcers" appreciate the level of outsourcing these foreign companies have done to bring all these jobs to the United States. Maybe someday you'll understand the need and benefit of outsourcing in the 21st century economies.

GM should have and could have gone through a LEGAL Chapter 11 bankruptcy under the rule of law. The fact that first Bush and then Barrack Hussein abrogated the purpose and structure of the TARP bailouts should be alarming to even the staunchest Liberal Constitution haters. Barrack Hussein, being an alleged Constitutional scholar, should have seen this and disallowed it. His Constitutional usurpations have been many unfortunately.

The notion that credit was "frozen" is nonsense. As Romney stated, all the government had to do was to back the investors that would have been screaming to be a part of restructuring 2 companies like GM or Chrysler and the process would have been complete. If it was so impossible, how did Fiat buy Chrysler? They would have done it with government money or money from banks backed by the government.

The big difference would have been the fact that in a legal bankruptcy, the laws established would have been enforced. Rightful creditors and bond holders would have been made whole rather than crony unions and their bloated pensions. Maintaining contractual agreements is one of the federal governments Enumerated Powers. This was not only ignored, it was violated.

Yes, George Bush and Barrack Hussein saved GM, they DID NOT save an industry. Ford is the better company, Chrysler is a foreign company now and GM will continue to struggle under the mandates of government ideology rather than market forces. The abysmal failure of the Chevy Volt is proof of the governments incompetence. Forcing "green" products on uninterested consumers will never fix GM.

GM, still owes US taxpayers over $42 Billion. $27 billion is owed on the nearly $50 billion it received from the auto bailout and Ally Bank, the company’s lending arm, owes $14.7 billion of the $17.2 billion taxpayer-funded bailout it received.

GM has posted profits of $4.7 billion in 2010 and $7.6 billion in 2011, where is the tax-payers portion of those profits? When will GM start repaying its outstanding debt? Profits have fallen 41% this last quarter. GM’s developments of models that will reach the new CAFÉ standards are less than promising.

GM shares are currently trading at $23 a share. In order to recover our investment GM shares need to trade at greater than $53. This could take decades.

Consumer Reports magazine's "predicted reliability" ranking announced Monday showed all four Chrysler brands in the bottom half of the 28 brands rated.

Jeep was the top Chrysler nameplate, at 19th. Chrysler, Dodge and Ram clustered at 23rd through 25th.

Unfortunately for Chrysler Group, that reinforces a stereotype that Detroit brands generally, and Chrysler's in particular, have trouble matching the best overseas makes.

An auto company wasn’t saved, it was given a second chance. History is not on GM’s side. The question is, how badly taxpayers and future Constitutional decisions will be affected?

The simplest solution is to not give Barrack Hussein any further chances to abuse the rule of law for his cronies and the unions.

JK,

Yes the Republican-controlled congress passed the Iraq war. The Republican-controlled congress planned for the Iraq war in the late 1990s with the bill they passed which Clinton signed under the duress of their impeachment stating that the US should do "regime change" in all Middle Eastern countries not friendly to US policies in the Middle East or "vital interests" there. (Hmmm, wonder what the vital interests were?)

The Republican party is now the big warmonger, Neocon party wanting to increase military spending greatly again when not needed and bring us more wars like Iraq, only worse.

Under duress?? Are you serious?? So are you saying now that not only Clinton perjured himself in front of America he was also spineless? And last I checked, there were PLENTY of Democrats that lined up and voted as well. And let's take a second and see how many lives are being lost in Afghanistan? Last I checked, citizen, more US soldiers have been lost in Afghanistan since Obama has been in office than in all the years that Bush was in office. So who is the warmonger? And if you want to parade out that tired old line that "Obama pulled out of Iraq", just remember, that troop pullout plan was already planned while Bush was in office.

So at the end of the day, your party on the left wants to absolve itself of the wars in the middle east, when in fact they are up to their eyes in them and yet they still want to blame the other party. That is why the vast majority of Americans loath the party on the left.

I'm glad the polls are shifting back Obama's way, and they are, by a couple of points in almost all major polls (other than the GOP shill, Rasmussen). But more importantly, this latest line of attack by Romney is embarrassing lying. Most liars would eschew such pathetic black is white and white is black stuff. There would be some nuance. Romney is literally out there saying his bankruptcy for the auto industry would have been better. And then he tries to paint Obama's support of Chrysler as part of some cabal to aid the Chinese. Romney is finally, at long last, a complete and total whore. I mean he would have sex with any sailor in town to win this thing. I am so tired of his bobbing head. The more he gets all animated, the more he is working up the courage to lie. There is no shame. Where is the media on this stuff? Romney makes Richard Nixon look like Gandhi. And Romney has ALWAYS BEEN A LYING WHORE. If his spinning head were anything new, then I might see some reticence on the part of the media to label him a complete whore, but we have seen this stuff so many times with him.

Beyond,

You might want to view the steaming pile of a commercial that Obama released saying the HE created 5.2mm jobs... Now that is a BLATANT LIE!! (and has been proven to be an outright lie by factcheck.org) But for someone that lies every day in office, its easy to confuse truth from fiction. Fortunately, the vast majority of Americans have finally awoken from the haze of the last four years and have realized there is a choice between the failure of the last four years... And you are sadly misinformed with the polls as most (with the exception of the NBC/DNC cheerleading squad) show Romney with a slight lead. But I'm sure that what Romney wins, there will be the deafening chorus from the left about voter suppression and all the other lame excuses that use to justify that their candidate was not the right person for the White House.

Watching Fox news? You think that Obama is lying, clearly Obama seems to not do it as obvious as Mitt Romney. Romney and someone in his team manipulated the Obama speech to give the impression of bad policies. That is R&R dishonesty. Is a matter of trust, if R&R can not be honest in the campaign trail, what is to say they are going to keep the promises they are making to all American Citizens once they get into office. Only a dummy will put R&R in the white house. Don't run to the Benghazi incident. While it is tragic that we loss our citizens there, get a clue, the host country is the one responsible for providing the heavy fire power security (i.e. rapid response force) when diplomats are threaten by superior fire power, quit blaming Obama. If you disagree with me, then answer this, how many nations have heavy fire power (i.e. rapid response team) off our coast ready to protect their diplomats? 0

This is the witching hour in the Rove Play Book. Time for the rash of big lies since it's too late to refute... put doubt in the voter's minds, support with the FOX liar team, then criticize the opposition for being negative. These people have no ethics.

I've always wondered about this... how does one reconcile so-called "strong religious beliefs" with running an ethics-free campaign? Maybe THAT's what Romney means by separation of church and state?

The facts are simple.

Chrysler is opening manufacturing in China to make cars FOR China while moving forward with Jeep expansion plans in the U.S.A.

But regardless of what they are deciding today, which is out of Obama's hands anyway, Chrysler would not be here today if Obama hadn't made the bold move to finance the GM and Chrysler bankruptcies.

Mitt supported a managed bankruptcy for the auto industry. He supported government guarantees. He DID NOT support direct government financing, which is all that was left to save the industry. Without that government financing, GM and Chrysler may well have been liquidated.

So that's the truth. Romney twists and turns and lies and cheats to try to pander to Ohio and those that recognize the auto industry's importance.

The real question is; What would Romney have done in Obama's place? You can bet $10,000 that he would have let them fail. No doubt. His handlers would have it no other way. He wouldn't have the balls to put government money in the game... because... after all... that would be Socialism.

I'm sure that won't be good enough until you think of the Month it took for Katrina repairs because bush was busy at his ranch doing nothing to coordinate anything. Eventually he flew over the damage!) Even if it is the job of the power companies to make repairs they will have you believing it is Obama's fault. Also, get ready for the jobs report, if it gets out in time? If it is bad it will be Obama's fault as well it should be, but if it is good it will be because the numbers were rushed through and can't be believed! But for President Obama to pull us out a disaster that the Republicans put us in and now they are claiming it's President Obama's fault. How ignorant and stupid are any one to believe that. I could go point by point to rebut every lie out there. But I wont, what i will do is not give the keys back to the same people who put us in this mess than claim they had nothing to do with it, it was all President Obama's fault.

The racial hatred they have ginned up is beyond the 1920's era. All because they are afraid of losing power. I would too, I would try to get every government dollar in my pocket then tell you you are the one who is taking government hand outs. And we can't afford it anymore, all the while getting rid of the estate tax, dividend tax, corporate tax, eliminating government oversights. Then lose the election as the Dems clean it up again. Then wait for the next election and blame it on the Dems that they did not clean the mess up fast enough. I viscous cycle all the while the rich get richer and the poor gets poorer. All due to the lack of education. They will be a lot of white people making 10k - 50k voting republicans knowing they will privatize every program for profit. You mean CONGRESS is the one that approved the Iraq war...somehow you on the left keep forgetting that...

I haven't forgotten anything, including that a majority of Democrats voted against the war and a majority of Republicans voted for it.

Show me where I'm wrong JK1963!

Poor Seeking Sanity - she just cannot refute that Clinton was convicted of lying.

I said it before (many times) and I will say it again:

I will take Bill Clinton's lie about a BJ that killed no one over a Bush's lie about WMD that killed over 100,000 (if not more)

This China dribble is ridiculous. Obama and his cronies keep calling Romney out for things they are doing themselves. I loved in the debates Romney calling out Obama for his pension also being invested in China! What hypocrites!

This auto issue is even better. Obama fires the CEO and HAND PICKS a new one who brags to the Chinese about their growth in China and everywhere outside the US. He says 7 out of every 10 GM cars are built outside of the US, they've built the Advanced Technology Center in China that moves Research and Development jobs from the US to China, he says that they 'regard their 11 joint ventures' with the Anti-democratic Communist Chinese government as their 'recipe to success' - to get these bids they agreed to transfer 'a good deal of state-of-the-art' technology to China. He touts GM's 'commitment to working in China, with China, and FOR China'.

Obama handed GM a pile of Money, fired their CEO, and appointed a new one who's moving the company OUT of the US. They've admitted 25 billion will never be recovered. Thanks Obama for bailing out a company that doesn't care about AMERICA and appointing a CEO that is determined to move jobs outside the US.

          Oh really??

          Spanky-

Hey Forrest and WCA [my fellow gar guys], check it out:

I just picked up a '05 Land Rover lr3 off a buddy of mine. 64,000 miles, i great shape, but it's a Land Rover so of course it has all kids of problems: Suspension compressor motor a d relay out. All four Breaks and rotors, gone, and both rear 02 sensors out, and check engine light on.

Dealer wanted $3500 to fix. I just picked up all the parts for $940 [the compressor was $550]. Gonna go out and get started now. Plan to make it a desert crawler/weekend car.

Got the car for $10K, after I do above repairs it'll be worth probably $16-17K.

Plus I would way rather spend day rooting around in my garage than working in office.

So Everyone - have a happy and safe weekend. I'm off to get my hands real dirty.

And of course Ms. Spanky hates it when I have grease caked under my nails and smelling like gasoline all weekend. :)

Not a lie bayllie the Obama administration 'asked' Richard Wagoner to step down and appointed Akerson, to GM's board one year later. 'Look it up' -- as Obama would say.

Point is Obama blasts Romney for some made up 'outsourcing' garbage and not being 'tough' on China when the reality he doesn't care, he only pushes that angle because you dopes will eat it up.

NOTE: Liberals/Progressives remember to vote on November 7th.

But wait a minute JimSpence...your side told Latinos in AZ that election day was November 8th. The secretary of state there even had that date printed on the ballots. But the interesting thing about that...right above the incorrect date listed in Spanish, the correct date was listed in English. Glaringly stupid. I know that you boys, led by Mitt, usually operate in a state of confusion or in a vacuum, but you'd think that somebody in that cabal of yours was intelligent enough to actually see that you're at odds with yourselves. Perhaps even you...but no, evidently not.

I continually marvel as to why the right-wing is so-o-o-o-o afraid of having a fair election. Voter ID and voting day restrictions, early voting snafus, on-line voter registrations sites that can't handle the traffic (take a look at CO), "(Un)True the Vote" operations, billboards targeting minority voters about "voter fraud" that even Republican politicos can't provide any proof of in their court filings, the company the RNC hired (and later fired in multiple states...again) to conduct voter registration that was found to have trashed some registrations because they weren't Republican (FL) but yet was the same company (with a different name) that they used before, that young lady in CO (working for that same company as in FL) who was caught on camera lying about who she worked for and stating that she was only registering Romney supporters, improper dates on ballots, your POTUS wannabe calling company owners to "advise" them that they should talk to their employees about who to vote for, Republican state legislators passing bills "guaranteeing a win for Romney" (PA)...etc.

Sorry to tell you, but your cloaking device is on the blink.

              Romney's quote (from above) .....

"Obama took GM and Chrysler into bankruptcy and sold Chrysler to Italians, who are going to build Jeeps in China."

              GM Bankruptcy:

WASHINGTON — President Obama will push General Motors into bankruptcy protection on Monday, making a risky bet that by temporarily nationalizing the onetime icon of American capitalism, he can save at least a diminished automaker that is competitive.

The bankruptcy is a moment of reckoning for an industry that was once at the heart of the American economy. The process began early Monday with a bankruptcy filing by a G.M. affiliate, a dealership in New York City, which described the automaker as “a debtor in possession under Chapter 11.”

              http://www.nytimes.com/2009/06/01/business/01auto.html?pagewanted=all

Chrysler bankruptcy and sale to Italians:

Chrysler LLC, for years America’s third-biggest automaker, survived perhaps the most dire of its periodic near-death experiences in 2008 and 2009, when the federal government forced it into bankruptcy, pumped in $10 billion in taxpayer funds and put it under the control of the Italian automaker Fiat, with the auto workers union as the company’s biggest shareholder.

              http://topics.nytimes.com/top/news/business/companies/chrysler_llc/index.html

              Jeeps manufactured in China:

Fiat SpA (F), majority owner of Chrysler Group LLC, plans to return Jeep output to China and may eventually make all of its models in that country, according to the head of both automakers’ operations in the region.

              http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-10-21/fiat-says-china-may-build-all-jeep-models-as-suv-demand-climbs.html

So, instead of making more Jeeps in America and creating American jobs, Jeeps will be made in America and in China, with new job creation going to China rather than to America.

Nope, no lies here. The only liars on this subject are Obama, Biden, and Clinton.

It is true that my claim no longer stands however it is still true that the latest 10 polls over the last 7 days shows our President with a 2 point (down from 2.3) lead and of the 10 polls they are tied in 2 and Romney leads in just one. Also Romney has not lead on average in Ohio ... ever!

Thanks to the storm we may not get any more updates for a couple days. Gallup has suspended their daily tracking poll for tomorrow … maybe more … due to power and phone outages.

The Republicans should ask Monthy Python for permission to use this song in their Presidential Campaign:

              GIRL:
              Let the heathen spill theirs
              On the dusty ground.
              God shall make
              them pay for
Each sperm that can't be found.

              CHILDREN:
              Every sperm
              is wanted.
              Every sperm is good.
              Every sperm is needed
              In your
              neighbourhood.

              MUM:
              Hindu, Taoist, Mormon,
              Spill theirs just
              anywhere,
But God loves those who treat their
              Semen with more
              care.

              Because

              Every sperm is sacred.
              Every sperm is great.
              If a sperm is
              wasted,
              God gets quite irate.

              CHILDREN:
              Every sperm is sacred.
              Every sperm is great.

Romney is pointing out the fact that Jeep/Chrysler were sold under Obama as part of the auto-bailout talks. Nothing is untruthful there.

That's funny. I thought Romney said that Jeep production was being moved to China. Looks like this chump hears at a different frequency than most rational people. A pity.

Jeep production is not moving to China, or anywhere else. Pubbie alternate reality has let some of their fantasy land escape to the real world again.

I work at the Science Labs/Proving Grounds for Chrysler in Auburn Hills, Mi, their World Headquarters. It is the second largest office complex on the planet, the Pentagon is first. When driving past the Toledo North Assembly Plant (TNAP) in Toledo along I-75 you can see the construction work ongoing at TNAP where there will be a massive expansion of their assembly operations. You can see it from the freeway, but don't look, you'll cause an accident. This plant makes the Wrangler, Liberty.

At the Jefferson North Plant (JNAP), in Detroit a giant expansion was completed to ramp up production of the Grand Cherokee. Sergio announced that a new Maserati super luxury SUV will be added to the plant production portfolio.

The point being: Jeep is in the USA to stay, and production is being moved there if anything. The plant in Belvidere, Illinois is also slated to receive more jobs. Another 1,100 of them, I believe. Sergio wants to move production to a place with a devalued currency and anachronistic labor laws: the United States.

The Chinese have this rule that says that any product you want to sell there,.....you have to make there. They have intelligent trade policies modeled after the ones we used before the Pubbies took power in 1980. China may as well use our policies,.....we ain't using them no more.

The Chinese don't allow any Romney's, Maddoffs, Milkens, or Icahns in their world. They know how these parasites operate.

After all. Look at what these policies have done to our country. The Chinese have a prime textbook example of what not to do.

The Reich-Wing Mainstream media is merely counting on the consistently reliable ignorance of their adherents when they put out this idiot bait story, and Mitt never met a self-serving lie he didn't like.

              How about Italy?

Coming hot on the heels of speculation that some Jeep production may be moved to China comes a bombshell from a Bloomberg report. Fiat is now considering moving Chrysler and Jeep production to Italy.

According to the piece, "To counter the severe slump in European sales, (Fiat CEO Sergio) Marchionne is considering building Chrysler models in Italy, including Jeeps, for export to North America. The Italian government is evaluating tax rebates on export goods to help Fiat. Marchionne may announce details of his plan as soon as Oct. 30, the people said."

So, let's be real clear here, we are talking about vehicles that will be built in Italy and exported to America. The evidence is clear that Fiat is looking at ways to move production of vehicles from the US to elsewhere, whether it be China or Italy, costing American jobs. This is becoming indisputable, despite outcries from certain parties to the contrary.

              http://nlpc.org/cached/fiat-says-chrysler-jeep-production-may-move-italy.html?q=stories/2012/10/29/fiat-says-chrysler-jeep-production-may-move-italy

              Or this story.

In a bid to fill some of its empty Italian production capacity, Fiat plans to build a pair of small SUVs at its plant in Melfi starting in 2014, according to Automotive News Europe. With most Chrysler plants running at or near full capacity, the Melfi facility will probably build the new Fiat and Jeep SUVs for export to North America. The final decision could come as soon as this weekend. The new small Jeep is expected to replace the Patriot and/or Compass, which are both produced in Chrysler's Belvidere, Illinois plant.

              http://www.autoblog.com/2012/10/21/small-jeep-and-fiat-suvs-to-be-built-in-italy/

Now does it make it better for you if Jeeps are made in Italy and not China for export to the US??

Clinton and Biden are upset with a Romney ad? Oh, the shock, the horror. Now let us examine the Obama campaign ads, hmmmm? We have a man falsely accusing Romney of murder, then we had the ad that accused him of being a felon and most recently ( and hitting a really low note) we get the ad with children singing about how voting for Romney is going to turn the seas black with oil and kill off all the polar bears.

Scraping the bottom of the barrel is all the Obama campaign has done and can muster. There is no lie about moving auto factories to China, GM will be building caddies there and as to the outsourcing, well, seems that Obama is the champ when it comes to sending jobs overseas. South Korea, Brazil, China and...are you ready? Finland. Not too many Obama supporters seem to pay attention to THOSE jobs being outsourced, but then, most Obama supporters don't pay attention to anything longer than a thirty second sound bite. Being spoon-fed propaganda and regurgitating misinformation is their only raison d'etre.

More than 60% of the GM bailout went to their off-shore manufacturing expansion, creating more jobs outside the US. Obama has off-shored more jobs than Romney by a huge margin with his spending of our money, but worse, borrowed money.

Maybe you need to pay attention. Jeep said they are not moving American jobs anywhere as a matter of fact they are expanding here and adding 1100 new jobs.

In addition so they can sell their jeep in China, they are going to start making them there too.

Good lord, one thing after another to keep republicans from remembering that Mitt is the least vetted presidential candidate in 50 years.

We keep hearing what a honest guy Mitt is but all those people are just repeating Mittens lies. Did he show the voting public 8 years of back taxes to vet him as much as he vetted his Vice President?

All we really know is McCain saw 18 years of Mitt's taxes and choice Palin instead for his V.P. With all the brains the republican party members keep claiming, this is dumb for republicans to not even be curious to know what Mitt is hiding.

A vote for Mitt is telling everyone that vetting a president is no longer important.

I can see Karl Rove's sick "sense of humor" in the ad described in the article. To him, it's all a big joke. He had a hand in annointing GWB for eight years, knowing how incompetent GWB was from the start. He should be in jail for treason for, at the least, voter fraud and intimidation in two presidential elections, and therefore as an accomplice in almost tanking the country. Okay, I'm making my own laws here, but Rove's stink is all over this latest ad. He's basically stuck in a kindergarten mentality of playing practical jokes and the entire country and a good portion of the rest of the world are paying the price. Pleeeaaassse -- can every Democrat vote for Obama and vote out the TPers in Congress and thereby make Rove irrelevant????!!!!

And now the Koch brothers are trying to make in-roads into California with their Prop. 32. Can every Calif. democrat please vote NO on Prop. 32 and keep the Kochs and Rove out of Calif. politics??!! Apparently the mega-wealthy Kochs aren't happy with what they already have and want even more money and power. Egomaniacs. All we need to do is say "No" in the voting booths to these people and we can make them go away.

Considering some of the vile political diatribe passing for ads that the Obama bunch is running, it seems they can dish it out but start whining when the opposition responds in kind.

What they hate most is that the Romney Jeep ad is 100% accurate.

In the meantime, Obama will busy himself with the hurricane thereby avoiding any election problems and let Clinton and Biden campaign for him. It’s called hiding in plain sight.

                  #2.24 - Tue Oct 30, 2012 4:22 PM EDT

WW -- Jeep management came out immediately and refuted the claims, so the ad isn't 100% accurate, is it?

Obama is doing what any President in this situation would do, and that's tending to a crisis -- Hurricane Sandy. duh. But don't worry, Rove and co. will nitpick and criticize and LIE about everything Obama does regarding relief efforts.

                    #2.25 - Tue Oct 30, 2012 5:52 PM EDT

                    In agreement 2.25

Reading challenged, are we? The Romney ad never said anything about Chrysler moving Jeep production to China but said a Jeep production facility was being constructed there. This prompted Chrysler chairman Sergio Marchionne to issue a statement acknowledging a Jeep production factory was indeed being built in China but insisting Jeep production will remain in the U.S.

Read between the lines. Chrysler is now foreign owned and they'll do what's necessary to maintain profits, so let's wait and see what transpires once the Jeep facility in China is up and running.

They claim with disdain that the Romney ad was carefully crafted to be accurate. What's the problem? Would they have liked it better if the Romney ad was carelessly crafted and inaccurate? You bet they would.

Despite your protestations, the ad remains 100% accurate.

Spanky is unbelievable. What is he trying to do, tell more lies per day than Romney?

                      1) There was no private money for GM. None. Nada. Zip. All of you republicons were sitting on your $Trillions and doing nothing. It was a case of really bad management that got GM in trouble, and the other managers were going to just let GM go under, taking Ford and a hundred other companies with them. That Is the Romney plan.

Instead Obama did the smart thing and sent Steven Rattner in to clean up that cesspool.

                      2) The stimulus worked. Not well, because it put too much money into bailouts, but it worked far better than the alternative. The REAL stimulus bill is sitting on Boner's desk. It is modeled on the New Deal, which gave us 9% growth during most of the 1930s.

Are you saying that 9% growth is a failure?

Obama & Biden took no one out of anything. TAXPAYERS did it all with our money, and our future earnings.

As for "taking them out of bankruptcy", GM is a disaster. Their cars don't sell without sub-prime car loans, they don't come close to current standards of performance in any category or value, and if you check the driveways of liberals not working for government, they won't touch these pos's.

GM is headed for a second bankruptcy, with taxpayers getting screwed again both with the billions in loss on the first deal, and the new billions we will be on the hook for in retirement benefits. Oh, but only for union workers, as Obama/Biden actually did screw the non-union workers out of benefits and retirement, stealing money from grandma and grandpa and giving it to their union-thugs.

Spanks can't lie, because in his world, lies don't exist. Much like Romney, the world according to Spanks is popular opinion. So if today, the sky is called blue, then the sky is blue. If tomorrow, the sky is called green, the sky is green. Today, if 2+2=4 is true, well what is also true is that tomorrow 2+5=4. Core beliefs aren't a driving force, only popular opinion. That is how he treats the world. Just look at his treatment of Mrs. Spanky - he TREATS her once a week to an evening out at the local Outback restaurant. When he gets really racy, he has a couple of Captain M's, and pounces the Mrs at the door knowing she was just laying in wait. The Mrs. is fulfilled, has food in her belly, the sky is green, and 2+5=4. How do we know any of this, you might ask? Why he brags about it, along with Hummer, his guns, his rich clients, and his 27 taco eating son.

                      GM is a disaster.

GM has been a disaster since 1978, the last year they actually provided a stylistic and reliable automobile. That being said, the time to let them fall into bankruptcy wasn't during the Global economic crash. It should have been in 1979. It didn't happen then, so there was no reason to allow it to happen during the economic meltdown. GM is on top when it comes to world-wide sales. Let them ride this tide, and if they deserve to go under, let them go under on their reputation. I suspect they have turned a corner. While they will never get me as a buyer, they have proven to be popular world-wide. Good for them!!

Bill Clinton say "Bull" on something Romney said is really a joke. Is this the same Bill Clinton that degraded all women by stating "I did not have sex with that woman, Monica Lewinsky",and then having all of his female cabinet members go before a press conference and say they "believed him". This is the Clinton that was "Impeached", lost his law license, settled a couple of law suits concerning sexual behavior with other females, not his wife.

This same Bill Clinton who was forced to the center right by a Republican Congress after one of the worst mid term elections in history, surpassed only by Obama's loss of the 2010 mid terms.

Give me a break, Clinton is only concerned about one thing and that is power, and trying to get Hillary elected President.

If Clinton butts heads with RichBoy Romney, your punk loses. See you boys in 4 years. Maybe you can beat Biden or Hillary. Probably not. You losers are done. I notice that you didn't mention that your thugs were doing worse than Clinton did while they were trying to impeach him. Clinton? Most Americans? Uh, no. Most Americans tolerate him and regard him with amusement, rather like they do Biden. Then again, it seems that most democrats hold to very low standards. Note that Gingrich DIDN'T get the endorsement? That seems to have escaped your notice. Then, noticed any 'degraded' morality with Romney? No? So sorry, guess you'll have to keep making things up.

Thomas - when you justify your own guys abhorrent behavior by comparing the President lying to the American people and wasting millions of taxpayer dollars on impeachment proceedings rather than being a man to a typical politician cheating on his wife, this is the very definition of hypocricy, so study away.

As for our "punk losing", sorry to disappoint, but literally every poll shows Obama consistently losing ground, larger numbers of Republicans voting early and requesting absentee for the first time, along with many polls still using the 2008 turnout %'s as their basis - I know all of this is over your head so I'll explain what this means.

This means next Tuesday night the election will be called early, for Romney, as your punk will have been beaten like a dirty rug.

Amusing how the dems have dusted off and polished up ol' Billy Jefferson. Now he stands for them, he is their spokesperson and, being posessed of exceptionally short memories and no moral compass atall, the dems hold high the man accused of rape, adultery, lying and other sordid activities, said activities would have landed a poor person in jail, Bill, however, is out walking and talking up the party line. Says alot about dems, doesn't it? Speaks volumes about women who follow the dem party line as well.

Guess they are indeed the sum of their 'parts.' Wonder how many support the ad that wants women to lose their virginity to Obama?

Remmember when Bill Clinton did this.

He explained that, in 1996, the Clinton administration agreed to give the People’s Republic of China a complete set of magnetic tapes from the U.S. Patent and Trademarks Office computers, containing every iota of American technology registered with the patent office in the previous 160 years. With the information from those tapes on their computers, the Chinese would know exactly how to make everything we make. But more importantly, by tracking the long-term development of every conceivable kind of technology and extrapolating the path of development into the future, the Chinese could “leap-frog” our own technological development.

No American president could possibly think it was a good idea to do such a thing – unless, of course, he owed a debt of gratitude to the Chinese and he was more concerned about that than he was about the future prosperity of the American people. The American people would never have known how many factories were being built in remote provinces of China, employing workers who were happy to work for two or three dollars a day. When the proposed technology transfer was inadvertently reported in a Commerce Department newsletter, the offer was withdrawn.

                        Ron Brown

But what was potentially more damaging to the United States was contained in a Memorandum of Understanding with the Japanese government, signed by Commerce Secretary Ron Brown… an agreement to introduce legislation in the U.S, Congress that would destroy the U.S. patent system, as we know it. The vehicles for that treachery, already introduced in Congress, were H.400 and S.507, the House and Senate versions of the Omnibus Patent Reform Act of 1997.

Because the legislation was so thoroughly “wired” on both sides of the aisle, our employers were seeking a small team of experienced government relations professionals who’d been in the political arena long enough that many of their longtime friends had risen to become influential members of Congress. They were looking for lobbyists who were on a first-name basis with members of Congress…. men whose reputations in the political world were such that they could ask members of Congress to take certain actions, on faith alone, and expect those requests to be honored.

What made the task so difficult was the fact that the legislation was supported, not only by the president and vice president of the United States, but by the Peoples Republic of China, the Japanese government, the Indonesian Lippo Group, and 80 or 90 of America’s largest multinational corporations… all but assuring the neutrality of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the National Association of Manufacturers.

On the day we arrived in Washington, April 12, 1997, we tuned in to C-Span just in time to see the House of Representatives pass H.400 on a voice vote. Not one member of the House of Representatives demanded a roll call vote on a bill that would severely emasculate a core function of the federal government.

When we were finally able to obtain a copy of S.507, we read it very carefully and we were horrified. Never in all of our years as lobbyists had we ever read a worse piece of legislation. If we had ever wondered what it was that the Chinese received in return for the millions of dollars they poured into the Clinton-Gore reelection campaign in 1996, there was no longer any doubt:

How can you write this article about this ad that is blatantly false and not mention that the claims in the ad are blatantly false. Jeep is NOT sending jobs to China, but adding jobs to Ohio and China to support the American and Chinese markets respectively.

This article is so full of fact-free "he said she said" nonsense as to provide absolutely no information to anyone who doesn't follow the issues. A person coming to this article without knowing the story doesn't come away knowing any more after reading it than they did before.

Fiat SpA (F), majority owner of Chrysler Group LLC, plans to return Jeep output to China and may eventually make all of its models in that country, according to the head of both automakers' operations in the region.

Fiat is in "very detailed conversations" with its Chinese partner, Guangzhou Automobile Group Co. (2238), about making Jeeps in the world's largest auto market, said Mike Manley, chief operating officer of Fiat and Chrysler in Asia. Chrysler hasn't built Jeeps there since before Fiat took control in 2009.

"The volume opportunity for us is very significant," Manley, who is also president of the Jeep brand, said in an interview at Chrysler's Auburn Hills, Michigan, headquarters. "We're reviewing the opportunities within existing capacity" as well as "should we be localizing the entire Jeep portfolio or some of the Jeep portfolio."

Read it and weep Leftist fools.

I take it you don't understand what localizing means. It means making something for the local (in country) audience. I give at least some demerits to Bloomberg's for writing the original item so poorly.

What they should have said is that they intend to eventually make Chinese versions of all of their jeep products for the Chinese market. But, if you slow down and read carefully, that is what it says, just very clumsily.

If you prefer to believe the Bloomberg article or Romney's misreading of it instead of the very straight forward denial of the Chrysler Company, they you are choosing to be lied to because you want to be lied to.

The GOP/RNC "Pathological Liar and Chief" is just Mentally Ill. He has been lying all his life about his personal life, his professional life, and his views about honesty. Jeep is not going to China however, he is sending Sensata to China. The GOP/RNC "Outsourcer and Chier" loves to 'harvest' all corporations for pure profit, and he has no respect for the US Auto Worker at all, and his father would have been appauled. Every Progressive Think Tank is laughing at the GOP/RNC "Intervert and Chief." This "Bain Trained Speculato" is not qualified to ever be President Of The United States. That is fact!

The debt is a huge concern. That is why it is so important to NOT elect Romney since his plan is the same as Bush's plan that started all this mess. It is equally important to replace the Republican obstructionists who have blocked every attempt to creat jobs, including a jobs bill for veterans. Paul Ryan is one of the ringleaders of these obstuctionist Republicans who all must go so our economy can improve at a faster pace.

Our President has done a better job then any other President to increase the debt. You are confusing the efforts of Bush with the job done by the Democratically controlled congress. And what about the Democratic obstructionists in the Senate? They have been so effective that, despite the law, budgets have not been passed in years. The President's theory of spending our way to prosperity has not worked.

OK, Will, let me see if I've got your 'logic' down: The Democrats in the House caused the economy to crash because they had control of the purse strings, and 'President' Bush was powerless to stop them.

But now that there's a Democrat in the White House, it's the Executive Branch that is responsible for all of the additional debt that's been added since 2008; the Republicans had no power whatsoever to stop or modify the Democrat's agenda.

In addition, you are accusing the Democrats in the Senate of being 'obstructionist'. Remind me again which party it is that has been using filibusters at a rate never before seen, or even imagined, in our country's history? Is filibustering every single piece of legislation that is supported by the President a strategy to accomplish relief for the American worker?

Lastly: Are you ever for one second bothered by your own relentless lying, or by the damage your party has done to our country? Never mind; silly question for the Party of Destruction who nominated a sociopath to be their standard-bearer.

Fox, thank you for reading my post and commenting. Without conditions of any kind to include any action of congress, the President promised to cut the deficit in half by the end of his first administration. The last full year of the Bush administration was 2008 and the deficit for that year was 458.55 billion dollars. The last full year of Obama's first administration was 2012. For the President to keep his promise the 2012 federal deficit could not have exceeded 229.27 billion dollars yet the deficit exceeded 1.1 trillion dollars so the President did not come even close to keeping his promise. For the first two years of Obama's administration his party had control of both houses of congress and they at first were passing almost anything that he asked for. The President said that he would bring the nation together. He said that could fix things in Washington by reaching across the isle. I am not saying that Bush was completely innocent of the turn down in the economy but the Democrats in control of congress had a lot to do with it too. The President's solution to our economic problems was the stimulus that congress enacted but it has failed to solve our unemployment problem as advertised. Lately it has been the Democratically controlled senate that has been blocking legislation. They have not passed a budget in years.

So you are personally calling me a liar. Ok. let me have it. Exactly what have I said here that is a lie?

Why, Clinton was impeached because he'd been made the target of a partisan witch hunt by a power-crazed, lying, bribe-taking, whore-mongering Speaker of the House- who was later removed from office and given a historically huge fine for ethics violations. (His name was Gingrich, for those of you who have amnesia regarding Republican crimes.)

Needless to say, when he decided that the Republican Party was once again in need of his particular brand of moral guidance, he was welcomed back into the fold with open arms!

Oh, and, uh... whatever became of that there Whitewater investigation? Going into the history books with Fast and Furious, is it?

To hear a Republican crying about corruption is like hearing Ted Bundy complain about the smut on TV (which he actually did do!).

Republicans tried to impeach President Clinton for protecting a woman's chastity. Nothing more.

Republicans were peeping in EVERYBODY'S bedrooms back in the 90s, and as you might imagine, a few things were going on. One thing that was uncovered (pun intended) was the Republican Congressmen were having tons of affairs, some with other men.

Republicans were so jealous of Bill Clinton they slobbered all over themselves because they wanted to be Bill Clinton.

Bill Clinton is handsome, VERY successful, extremely smart, he's got a photographic memory, AND he is the most dearly loved President in the history of the United States. Everybody in the entire World loves Bill Clinton, including other world leaders.

Republicans had the House and they were sick with jealousy, and each of every one of the 13 Republican Congressmen who tried to impeach Bill Clinton were ALL put out of office, either by the revelation of their own sexual scandals, or by the voters who voted them out of office for messing with Bill Clinton.

I don't have to "look it up", I was there.

What "lie" did he tell Ricardo? That he wanted GM and Chrysler to go through a controlled bankruptcy and THEN get government assistance? Not much of a "lie" there seeing as after the over 50 BILLION taxpayer dollars were used to "bailout" GM and Chrysler, they went through....a CONTROLLED BANKRUPTCY.

Meanwhile, Obama, Biden, and Democrats keep going out there and LITERALLY lying about what Romney said. And the fact check is pretty simple. Fiat OWNS 40% of Chrysler, and the UNIONS own 60% of GM. That would be from the CONTROLLED BANKRUPTCY that Romney called for.

Meanwhile the American taxpayers LOSE over 20 Billion dollars as they UNIONS give themselves $7000 bonuses instead of paying the taxpayers back.

PutAmeriaFirst - The ad clearly manipulates. It does not say that Jeep is going to expand into China (because they're doing so well and now have the money to), it just says they're going to build Jeeps in China. This is political insinuation by omission of all the facts. Supporting this for Romney's sake, is doing a great disservice to all the auto workers in Ohio who have worked hard to turn around their companies. They are Americans too, put them first.

Cheryl - Romney wanted bankruptcy utilizing private capital, but no private capital was available due to the economic situation at the time, which would have caused the companies into forced liquidation. Finally, Fiat was initially given 20% (not 40%...they have since bought more as it is a free market, which Republicans are for...right?)of Chrysler in exchange for fuel efficiency technology that is used on the new Dodge Dart and other upcoming cars, thereby making Chrysler profitable quickly so they could pay us back (just giving them money without the ability to create a better product would result in failure...Obama realized this). Thanks to this, Chrysler (Fiat) owes you as a taxpayer nothing, as they have paid back all of their government loans. The question is, should GM have been merged with another company so they could do as well as Chrysler has (they do still owe). With Jeep, Romney attacked a success story. Shows us how out of touch he is with us average folks.

Obama “all we need to do is have the wealthy pay a little more in taxes?” What does “a little more” mean ??

Here are the changes set to go into effect on January 1, 2013:

Capital gains rate goes from a maximum of 15% to 23.8%* - a 59% INCREASE

Dividends tax rate goes from a maximum of 15% to 43.4%* - a 189% INCREASE

Ordinary income tax rate goes from a maximum of 35% to 43.4%* - a 24% INCREASE

Estate tax exemption goes from $5,000,000 down to $1,000,000 – a 80% DECREASE

The estate tax rate goes from a maximum of 35% to 60% - a 71% INCREASE

*These numbers include the new 3.8% medicare surcharge going into effect on 2/013 as part of Obamacare. Yes, passive ordinary income such as rental property income will be subject to this new tax.

That is not “a little more” that is A LOT

Funny when Obama needs to invite a serial groper and accused rapist to his convention as being more popular than the sitting president.

What's more, GM was placed into bankruptcy by the Obama administration. Stockholders and bond holders were segregated into old GM and their assets and portfolios liquidated.

New GM consists primarily of union members who, at the expense of the taxpayers, had their pensions, which were run dry by bad investments and corruption, made whole.

This whole thing was a big, wet, sloppy kiss on Big Labor's Johnson by a president all too willing to oblige.

Here we go with the lying about a war sh1t again. Everybody, including Slick Willy, thought Hussein had WMDs. Hillary and Biden voted for the use of force to unseat Hussein and feared he'd use them.

The thinking was these weapons headed to Syria before the invasion. Now, Obama has hinted that Sryia, led by Assad (who Hillary called a "reformer" just before the uprising) may have... wait for it... WMDs!

                              Really. Stop acting so stupid.
