Mittzine will appear in 5 battleground states Sunday

CIRCLEVILLE, OH & PENSACOLA, FL -- Voters in several key battleground states will find something unusual when they open their Sunday papers this week: a "Mittzine," a magazine all about Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney.

The insert, paid for by a pro-Romney superPAC , is a glossy, full-color 12-page publication that will be packaged into roughly 4.5 million newspapers in Ohio, Iowa, Wisconsin, Virginia, and Florida.

The magazine was paid for by a super PAC called the "Ending Spending Action Fund," which was founded by conservative billionaire Joe Ricketts,  founder of TD Ameritrade and an owner along with his family of the Chicago Cubs. Originally focused on combating congressional earmarks, the group now espouses spending cuts and debt reduction as well, according to a profile compiled by the transparency-in-government website OpenSecrets.Org.

The super PAC spent just over $1 million on this advertisement.

“Who are the Romneys?” reads the front-page headline of the magazine, and a series of articles tell the Romney family biography. Another page has a chart comparing President Obama and Romney with the headline “Who should lead America for the next four years?” The insert also features light stories about Romney's running mate Paul Ryan, and even a crossword puzzle, with clues pulled from the candidate's life stories.

The clue for 1-down: “The burger company where Paul Ryan worked as a kid” and then for 17-across “Mitt's loving wife who showed her qualities at the RNC convention.”

The "Mittzine" will appear in several major papers Sunday including: The Cleveland Plain Dealer, The Des Moines Register, The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel  and The Richmond Times Dispatch.

But...but...but... when is Willard going to give an interview?

Does the coward believe he can coast from now until election day avoiding the MSM?

10 more days, and this pathological serial lying sociopath can slither out of the spot light and back to whatever state he is calling home these days!

PS: Make sure to take your "entitled" wife along for the ride!

Good point: "Who are the Romneys?"

Mitt Romney is forwarding the failed Bush policies. And we've seen the results of the last decade of GWB/GOP/Romney top-down, 1%-er policies:

GOP brought the U.S and the globe to the very brink of collapse, by shifting massive amounts of money to the top. Putting two unnecesary wars and a giant tax cut, on the U.S. credit card. And allowing the very rich to pay low or zero taxes = no revenue.

NOW, the International Monetary Fund says the U.S. will be the STRONGEST fiscally, of ALL the rich world economies over the next few years.

Thanks to President Obama's policies and determination, America is coming back.

AND NO THANKS to the GOP obstructionists.

And once again, the Romney campaign copies the Obama campaign.

I knew this was coming. They're copying the grassroots organization of the Obama campaign. They're copying what the Obama did last week by releasing Obama's literature on why we should vote for him.

You can't make this stuff up.

We know you Romney. More than we ever wanted to know you.

Wonder if this will include Romney's statement about Chrsyler?

You turn to page three and at the bottom you get the question:

If you think Mitt Romney is for ending Roe vs. Wade, turn to page 11,

If you think Mitt Romney is for allowing a woman to have an abortion in cases of rape, incest or to preserve her life, turn to page 10.

Page 10 will say, we are so sorry to report that Mitt Romney has misled you, yet again, into believing he cares for women, for the correct answer, turn to page 11.

Page 11 say, you are absolutely correct, Mitt Romney does not believe a woman has the right to control her own body or the ability to make her own decisions. Mitt Romney believes we need to return America to the values he knows and trusts, like those he grew up with in the late 1950's and early 1960's.

One of the people who is familiar with Mitt's strong values, John Lauber, who Mitt was so kind as to give a forced haircut to during his formative years in prep school, was unable to be reached to give his praise to Mitt Romney. We are sure the late Mr. Lauber would have been happy to tell all about the joshing and kidding he took from Mitt and Mitt's group of friends. Just liked they enjoyed doing to anyone not in their close circle.

Pages 14 - 16 will show how Mitt Romney "served" the country doing his time in France during the Viet Nam war.

Pat, Boston: "They're copying the grassroots organization of the Obama campaign"

Like hell they are.....the Obama campaign uses actual living, breathing volunteers who give up their free time to work tirelessly to get out there and register voters and talk to them face to face or on the phone, because they truly support the President and would give their blood, sweat and tears to get him re-elected - I know; I gave all three for months back in 2008.

Romney uses robo-calls, massive lawn sign plantings, and now gets the newspaper delivery kids to do all the hard work for him.

What a guy.....but I guess he's gotta make do with what he's got.....

But...but...but... when is Willard going to give an interview?

Never GF, Willard MYTH is a pathetic cowardly Liar. This is what should have been in
several major papers Sunday; instead. In fact this website should go viral!!!

Romneys feel they can buy most Americans with business deals, bribes and of course, a well put threat. This may be true, however it may not be the case with the American Vote

The Romney family has hidden their connections to Russia and top former Soviets for decades. It would stand to reason a good portion of their families’ wealth has been derived from this dark underworld connection. Scott Romney, Mitt Romney and a number of movers and shakers associated with the Romney family are hiding this secret from the American public and voter.

Romney is unfit for the Oval Office and the American voter needs to be aware. Below is a repeat from earlier 2010 blog pieces from my website with added updates included.

Backhouse, BRAVO! Who are the Romneys, indeed- regular readers of this space will note that I have posed that very question repeatedly all week long, and so far the only answers I've gotten were more of their typical deflection and counterattacks- in other words, no answer at all. The ABO crowd has gotten a complete cipher as a candidate- the candidate of Pope Grover's foul, anti-democracy dreams.

Because, folks, that is what this is really about! (TTTHand, you may want to listen here, and see what you think- because I know that you do think.) A Romney victory means that Wall Street will be completely deregulated, and that huge multi-national corporations will have fewer legal constraints on them than at any time since the Gilded Age of the 1880s to 90s- an era which was brought to an end by the crusading, trust-busting, populist, REPUBLICAN, Teddy Roosevelt! Romney will rubber-stamp pretty much whatever his corporate masters tell him to, which I am certain will include:

1. The pell-mell dismantlement and shipment to Asia of what's left of our physical manufacturing plant.

2. The effective gutting of the Clean Air, Clean Water, Endangered Species, Wetlands, Mining Safety, and Occupational Safety and Health Acts (plus a bunch of others that don't come readily to mind, but you get the idea).

3. A new era of military adventurism, including a very strong tendency to use the threat of force to make other, sovereign nations act as we wish them to, which will lead unavoidably to

4. An America isolated from the community of nations more effectively than at any time since the 1930s, when isolation was our choice.

I don't believe that government is a hostile, occupying force; I believe that the govenment is us, all of us, and that we can make our government as honest and efficient and responsive as we want it to be. I believe that government is a tool, the tool we can use to keep our highways repaired, our coastlines defended, our children educated, and our food, water, and medication wholesome and safe to consume.

I do not believe that the corollary to less government is more individual freedom; I believe that in our current political climate, less government power more or less automatically means greater corporate control, of every aspect of our lives. Nature and power abhor a vacuum. Corporations answer to nobody but their directors and recognize no law but that of profits.

If anybody is wondering why I addressed myself to Talk To The Hand, it's because earlier today, I think he and I reached a sort of modus vivendi; we are going to go on the basis of each man assuming the patriotism and basic decency of the other; we're going to dial back the hostile rhetoric; and we're going to try actually listening to each other, for a change. The country we all love has problems that are so serious, it will take all of us, working together, to fix them. Given a worthy goal like that, I still believe there is no earthly challenge that Americans aren't equal to.

Tagg Romney and wife signed a contract with their babies' surrogate Mom, allowing them to authorize an abortion in case the fetuses were less than perfect. Typical Romneys, one rule for you, a different rule for them. Not to mention the fact, Paul Ryan sponsered a bill outlawing the destruction of fetuses created for iIVF.

(Yeah, I hate myself for bringing it up, but the whole hypocrisy of the situation requires women to KNOW what the Republicans really mean on abortion: okay for them, not for you.)

How come the Super-Pacs have all this money to spend on campaigns; but have no money to hire new workers?? Where are all the jobs that the GOP promised in the 2010 elections????Is the suppression of our voting rights and jobs being caused by the GOP (just as done with suppression in Congress to do the opposite of what the Democrats want, and making their policies look bad)? What was the first and main agenda (before jobs or a budget) of the GOP in less than 10 hours after the 2010 election?? If you think the GOP is all about themselves, you are 100% right on target. They'd rather lower the U.S. Credit Rating than to compromise, negotiate with those Republicans and the minority President. Those good ole' white boys don't like taking orders from a well-educated, articulate, consistent, honorable black man with integrity and concern for all the U.S. citizens, and not just for the 2% elitists because as they claim, Obama is not one of them (the greedy). The GOP would much rather have Romney or Trump. LOL!!! Both big jokers, good for a laugh!!

Mitt Romney was raised

a) in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
b) in large nest of vulture capitalists.

His parents are

a) Lenore and George W. Romney.
b) Captain and Tennille.
c) Herman and Lillie Munster.

Mitt Romney spent thirty months in France as

a) a coward.
b) a draft dodger.
c) a Mormon missionary.
c) all of the above.

.... YOU WANT TO BLAME OBAMA FOR WHAT HAPPENED IN THE MIDDLE EAST? Not to discount the American loss of those four men killed ... May God bless them and their families ....

THIS IS WHAT BUSH DID or DIDN'T DO ON AMERICAN SOIL ....

What Bush Knew Before Sept.11

"We were trying to figure out what they (al Qaeda) would do. We never had specifics about time, place, MO (method of operation)."
U.S. intelligence official, commenting anonymously.

President Bush was told in the months before the Sept. 11 attacks that Osama bin Laden's terrorist network might hijack U.S. passenger planes - information which prompted the administration to issue an alert to federal agencies - but not the American public.

CBS News National Security Correspondent David Martin says the warning was in a document called the President's Daily Brief, which is considered to be the single most important document that the U.S. intelligence community turns out. The document did not, however, mention the possibility of planes being flown
into buildings.

An agent in the FBI's Arizona office did, however, speculate about that, writing in his case notes about Zacarias Moussaoui that Moussaoui seemed like the type of person who was capable of flying an aircraft into the World Trade Center.

It was the observation of an agent taking notes as he thought about his case - an observation whose significance simply did not register at the time.

White House spokesman Ari Fleischer says that while President Bush was told last summer that bin Laden's al Qaeda network might hijack planes, he did not receive information suggesting that airplanes might be used as suicide bombs, as they were on Sept. 11.

Fleischer emphasizes that "until the attack took place, I think it's fair to say that no one envisioned that as a possibility."

The revelation about the president's security briefing comes as House and Senate Intelligence Committee investigators prepare for public hearings beginning next month on whether an intelligence community which spends $30 billion a year should have been able to provide a more specific warning in advance of Sept. 11.

The New York Times reports that an FBI agent in Arizona warned his superiors last summer that bin Laden might be sending students to U.S. flight schools.

Investigators have since Sept. 11 suspected bin Laden's al Qaeda network of masterminding the terror attacks on America, which killed more than 3,000 people.

Republicans don't want to see the bigger picture .... the middle east has been at war since forever ... the attacks on the embassy happened in the middle east .... Bush was for-warned too ... and did nothing and they attacked us AMERICAN SOIL .... HUGE DIFFERENCE .....

MIDDLE EAST - 4 KILLED

AMERICAN SOIL - 3000 KILLED .... YES REPUBLICANS EXPLAIN THAT ONE .....

MAY GOD BLESS AMERICA .... AND AMERICA VOTE FOR OBAMA 2012

You know you guys ought to stop with that Bush thing. He isn't on the ballot. And I can tell you nobody is not voting for Obama because of what you people think Bush did. They are not voting for Obama because of what Obama didn't do. And I've talked to a lot Dems (they will admit that if you press them) and they won't vote for Obama because he takes credit for every good in this country (that he had nothing to do with) and blames and whines when questioned about his failures.

Oh and that 3000 killed, that was actually Hussein Obama's relatives and friends that did that, not republicans. Too bad for Hussein Obama they had to die. But at least he spared 4 of them this 9/11. I know he and his father are proud and now he's on the good side of crazy louie Farrakhan.

This is a necessarily-long post detailing what we know so far about the Benghazi attack. I believe I have brought together information from multiple sources that has not been seen in one place before:

  1. Ambassador Stevens believed strongly that an attack was likely, and made multiple unambiguous requests for additional security in Libya.

  2. In June 2012, the Consulate in Benghazi, Libya was damaged by an improvised explosive device. Stevens reported to his superiors that an Islamist group (Ansar al-Shariah?) had claimed credit for the attack. Shortly after that a British Embassy convoy in Benghazi was also attacked. And again, Ambassador Stevens requested more security forces for Benghazi.

  3. Eric Nordstrom the State Department's Regional Security Officer, and Karen Keshap and Shawn P. Crowley, State Department employees, had all made multiple complaints about the inadequate security in Benghazi. Crowley, had even apologized in an email for "being a broken record" on the subject of inadequate security in Benghazi.

  4. In response to all these requests, the Obama Administration refused to increase security at the US Consulate in Benghazi at all.

  5. On the morning of September 11, Ambassador Stevens signed a three-page cable, labeled "sensitive," in which he noted "growing problems with security" in Benghazi. As before, he was ignored.

  6. On the night of September 11, in what would become his last known public meeting, Stevens met with the Turkish Consul General Ali Sait Akin, and escorted him out of the consulate front gate at about 8:35 PM.

  7. Possibly related to this meeting with the Turkish Consul General: There was a CIA annex about a mile from the U.S. Consulate. Part of their mission was to track and repurchase arms in Benghazi that had proliferated in the wake of Muammar Qaddafi's fall, including 20,000 missing shoulder-fired antiaircraft missiles. Stevens may have been in Benghazi to negotiate a weapons transfer in an effort to get such missiles out of the hands of Libya-based extremists. Five days previously, the Libyan-flagged vessel Al Entisar, was received in the Turkish port of Iskenderun -- 35 miles from the Syrian border. According to a September 14 report by the Times of London, Al Entisar was carrying 800,000 pounds of cargo. Some of it was humanitarian, but it also included a large consignment of weapons headed for the Syrian rebels.

  8. One hour later, at about 9:35 PM on the night of September 11 2012, the Consulate in Benghazi, Libya was attacked by 20 – 100 heavily armed terrorists with rocket propelled grenades and machine guns. Ambassador Stevens, and four of his personnel moved to the compound "safe haven". The terrorists torched the compound with incendiary devices. Information Management Officer, Sean Smith, was killed during this period.

  9. Former Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods was at the CIA annex about a mile from the U.S. consulate. When he and others heard the shots fired, they informed their higher-ups at the annex to tell them what they were hearing and requested permission to go to the consulate and help out. They were told to "stand down." Soon after, they were again told to "stand down."

  10. To emphasize: The first communications to CIA, reporting the attack, were almost simultaneous with the first shots fired.

  11. Woods and at least two others ignored the orders to stand down and made their way to the consulate which, at that point, was on fire. Shots were exchanged. The rescue team from the CIA annex evacuated those who remained at the consulate and the body of Sean Smith. They could not find the ambassador and returned to the CIA annex at about midnight.

  12. Ahmed Abu Khattala, a leader of the Benghazi-based Islamist group Ansar al-Shariah, or "Partisans of Islamic Law," was observed commanding the attack that night.

  13. Tyrone Woods was joined at the scene by fellow former Navy SEAL Glen Doherty. They were later killed by a mortar shell at 4 am, nearly seven hours after the attack on the consulate began. Four mortar rounds were fired at the annex. The first one struck outside the annex. Three more hit the annex. The team inside the annex captured three Libyan attackers, but were then forced to hand them over to the Libyans. U.S. officials do not know what happened to those three attackers or whether they were released by the Libyan forces.

  14. Two military surveillance drones were sent to Benghazi shortly after the attack on the consulate began. Both were capable of sending real time visuals back to U.S. officials in Washington, D.C. Any U.S. official or agency with the proper clearance, including the White House Situation Room, State Department, CIA, Pentagon and others, could call up that video in real time on their computers.

  15. Two hours after the attack started, Obama was informed through unclassified channels that "the diplomatic mission is under attack. Embassy Tripoli reports approximately 20 armed people fired shots; explosions have been heard as well." The SBU (Sensitive But Unclassified) email did not report any crowds, demonstrators or protestors. It is safe to assume that the urgent classified communications from CIA came to Obama and Clinton much sooner, and with far more detail. Other SBU emails, obtained by Reuters, specifically mention that Ansar al-Sharia had asserted responsibility for the attacks. Again there was never any mention of crowds, demonstrators or protestors.

  16. At about the same time that Obama received the unclassified emails two hours into the attack, CIA operators at the Annex called again for military support and help because they were now taking fire. The request was denied. There were no communications problems at the annex, according those present at the compound. The team was in constant radio contact with their headquarters. One member of the team was on the roof of the annex manning a heavy machine gun when mortars were fired at the CIA compound. He had a laser pointing at the Libyan mortar team that was targeting the CIA annex, and the operators were calling in coordinates of where the Libyan forces were firing from. They repeatedly requested back-up support from a Spectre gunship, which is commonly used by Special Ops forces to provide support to teams on the ground involved in intense firefights. The Gunship was never allowed to take off.

  17. The fighting at the CIA annex went on for more than four hours -- enough time for any planes based in Sigonella Air base, just 480 miles away, to arrive. A Special Ops team that specializes in counter-terrorism rescues was also on hand at Sigonella. They could have flown to Benghazi in less than two hours. They were told to “wait.”

  18. Throughout the attack, which lasted for approximately seven hours, classified and unclassified information, real time surveillance video, requests for support, and reports from on-site personnel were pouring into the White House Situation Room. The big missing piece of the puzzle at that point was who denied permission for the CIA operators to rescue Ambassador Stevens when the attack started? Who denied the request for military support? Who grounded the Spectre Gunship? Who told the Special Operations Forces to “wait”?

  19. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta on October 25 defended the lack of U.S. military response, saying the situation on the ground was “too confusing.”

  20. Twelve hours after the attack began, the body of Ambassador Chris Stevens was finally found being dragged through the streets of Benghazi. A Libyan official said “He died suffocation,” but a news report made by the Libyan Free Press reported that Ambassador Stevens was sodomized before he was killed. Question: Where was he during those twelve hours, and what was being done to him? Dragging his body through the streets may have been to obscure marks of brutal torture while he was still alive.

  21. The following day Obama made an ambiguous statement that may or may not have acknowledged that this was a terrorist attack.

  22. Immediately after Obama's statement though, administration spokespersons, including White House spokesman Jay Carney, maintained for two weeks that the attacks likely were a spontaneous protest against an anti-Muslim film. They offered no evidence to support that contention.

  23. After two weeks, faced with all the mounting and incontrovertible evidence, Obama finally admitted that it was a pre-planned terrorist attack.

  24. On October 17 The New York Times reported that "Libyan authorities have singled out Ahmed Abu Khattala, a leader of the Benghazi-based Islamist group Ansar al-Shariah, or "Partisans of Islamic Law," as a commander in the attack." This confirmed the unclassified email that Obama had received on September 11.

  25. Had Obama told the truth at the time, he would have been admitting that he had committed a huge error in judgment not to grant the consulate's repeated security requests, especially on the anniversary of 9/11. He clearly had a great deal of motivation to call it a "spontaneous demonstration," and that is exactly what he did!

  26. On October 25, leading congressional lawmakers applied new pressure to the Obama administration for information on the attack: "The American public is increasingly reading information contradicting early accounts by your administration of the causes of the events of the day. "In the absence of your direct engagement to clarify these concerns, the public's frustration and confusion is likely to discredit efforts to achieve our shared goals of justice and accountability for the direct assault on American interests and the deaths of four public servants."

  27. On October 26, A man suspected of involvement in the Benghazi attack was killed in Cairo, Egypt. Authorities named the man only as “Hazem”.

Sorry for the long post, and I'm afraid it will get longer as more and more information comes to light.

Keep beating that drum. Maybe you'll get the war you and all the other chickenhawk Republicons want.

Maybe we should re institute the draft, right ? That way we would have plenty of troops to go into Iran, Syria and anyplace else the GOP can think of.

Of course, there would be an exemption for idiots, which would exclude anyone who would vote for the GOP in the first place.

Kannin, for Dog's sake! The way you and your rightie cohorts are going on, you'd think that this was the single, pivotal, defining event of your lives. You're going to be hella buff from beating that there dead horse, dude. It was a tragedy and some people at or near the top of the chain of command f***** up- now, really, do you think that it's never happened before?

Even those of you who make sense from time to time are throwing away what credibility you have by straining at this particular gnat. It was a dreadful occurence, but it wasn't freakin' 9/11 or Pearl Harbor. Just give it a rest, willya?

(Probably not, and now I'm in his sights too.)

Kannin: if the President of the United States and several of the cabinet members and many of the advisers had involved most of the government in creating the an illegal situation which resulted in the deaths AND then proceeded to utilize the FBI, IRS, CIA and the Justice Department to try to prevent the American public from discovering the attack AND had lied to Congress about it, repeatedly for a period of almost 1 1/2 years, then the situation would be similar.

In this case, each and every person who went before Congress repeatedly said that the investigation is ongoing and additional information is STILL being discovered.

The fact is, the GOP wants to use the tragic deaths of a US Ambassador and three others to put a puppet into the White House simply because they can't stand having a black man as President. THAT is the reality. Rather than try to govern with the Democrats, the GOP would rather destroy the country. The current Republicans are a pathetic trace of the Grand Old Party.

When the final report was issued, essentially absolving the entire Obama Administration from any wrongdoing, well, the only reason I heard about that at all is because I read the Lefty press! Dirp - Just as in '72 - '74, It may well take 1 1/2 years to determine that cabinet member Hillary Clinton lied or Leon Panetta lied when he said there was not a clear enough picture of what was occurring on the ground in Benghazi to send help. It may take that long to determine that Jennifer Youngblood lied when she said, "no one at any level in the CIA told anybody not to help those in need." If the truth doesn't come to light until August 2014, so be it.

Somewhere in there you need to add what Joe Biden said when the bodies landed at Andrews AFB.

"Charles Woods says that, at the ceremony, Joe Biden strolled over to him and by way of condolence said in a "loud and boisterous" voice, "Did your son always have balls the size of cue balls?" One assumes charitably that the vice president is acknowledging in his own inept and blundering way the remarkable courage of a man called upon to die for his country on some worthless sod halfway across the planet. But the near-parodic locker-room coarseness is grotesque both in its inaptness and in its lack of basic human feeling for a bereaved family forced to grieve in public and as crowd-scene extras to the political big shot."

German Gem scared by my avatar? All I can say is- heh, heh, heh. (Still waiting for somebody to recognize it though!)

As for why he'd pick a female persona- well, we know there are some guys who like to wear things that make them feel, well, pretty. Before we start an Obama impeachment, we want to know how many requests were made to shut down the freeway for the motorcade, how many denied requests for additional automobiles and drivers, who claimed immediate responsibility, should we believe the Tweets that Reid was dragged through the streets and sodomized before being taken to the hospital. Most of all, we need to know about this massive cover-up by the Obama admin - it has been two days with no comments from the White House. What is Obama hiding? We deserve answers.

Kanin and Bewildered: even assuming each and every one of your statements was 100% true, that does not come near the level of government wide corruption which took place under President Nixon or the very extensive, if not government wide, corruption which took place under President Reagan.

You really need to get your sense of proportion straight. President Nixon used every investigative arm of the US Government; the CIA, the FBI and the IRS, to investigate, intimidate, bully, steal from and smear anyone he felt was his enemy. He and his administration turned the apparatus of US government into a group of thugs intent on destroying his enemies.

When their amateur burglars were caught in the break-in of the Democratic Party headquarters at the Watergate Hotel, PRESIDENT NIXON ordered the investigation be stopped and the White House involvement be covered up. When a semi-independent prosecutor, Archibald Cox, was starting to get too close to finding the truth, Nixon ordered the Attorney General to fire the prosecutor. When the AG refused, Nixon fired him and a deputy AG's until finally he found Robert Bork to fire the prosecutor. The act of firing Cox and Nixon's ordering it were both against the law which.

All of the combined activities of President Nixon were found by the House Judiciary Committee which was moving rapidly toward impeachment. President Nixon would not only have been impeached, but the overwhelming evidence would have required his conviction and removal from office.

Any statement that there was anyone who was a worse President has not studied history.

The only possible exception being President Ronald Reagan. However, because he probably had Alzheimer's during his time in the White House, he may not have been aware of the actions which led to at least 21 convictions during his Presidency.

If you want corruption, vote for a Republican.

I was just talking with someone about a subject that I rarely see in any comments section or otherwise: What about Mr. Romney's religion?

It is absolutely over the edge of normalcy and yet nobody talks about it. Think about how much of an uproar was made over JFK being a Catholic, for God's sakes (pun intended). I know it's a much different time now, but Mormonism? Seriously?

And, please, nobody respond with the fact that they have both millions of followers and millions of dollars. That does NOT give it legitimacy.

I live in the West where the Mormon population is extremely high. I think people from other parts of the country who don't have members of this religion as part of their everyday lives - schoolmates, coworkers, business owners, etc. - have no idea how bizarre the requirements are to be a member.

And if you are a woman? Forget about it.

Did you know that married Mormon couples come up with a 'secret' name for the woman, that only her husband knows so that at the end of life, if she has served him well in their marriage, he - and only he - has the ability to call her to be with him in their version of heaven?

            I wonder what Mrs. Romney's name is…

Also, they believe that they each - and by 'they' I mean the men - member of the church gets their own planet to use as their version of heaven. And the more you do for the church, 1) recruit new members to the church (why do you think they go on missions), 2) give time to the church and other church members (this is monitored and members get put into higher positions within the church while they are still living by becoming an 'elder'), 3) have lots and lots of babies (and therefore creating more members of the church, 4) and, of course, by giving money (which they get to write off as giving to charity, as Mr. Romney keeps reminding us, but it's really all about buying that big, big planet at the time of death).

And, the biggest doozie of them all, in my humble opinion, is that they 5) convert non-Mormons into the church after they have died so that they can brag about bigger member numbers, and I'm sure for other disturbing reasons. Don't believe me? Google how they just got caught baptizing those who were killed in The Holocaust. I. Kid. You. Not.

If that's not disgusting-enough to make you not want a very active and proud member of this church running your country, I can't imagine what would be.

If you are so inclined, could you pass this on? There will be those who don't find favor in people picking on a candidate's religion, but Mr. Romney made it fair game by using it as one of his reasons we should vote for him. Just the amount of times he's bragged about giving money to charity - when the church is the #1 of these - gives permission to others then looking closer about that very church.

I just passed this along to the Mormons For Obama website. I'm sure they will love your bigotry. So you know, Harry Ried is a Mormon and he spoke to this group at the DNC Convention.

Malarson; you are a despicable person.

Whew, how do I even reply to such statements? I've been a Mormon (member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints) all my life. Your comments are insulting and absolute lies. I have the finest husband who treats me like a queen. Where this idea that Mormon women are beaten down is beyond me. We hold positions of authority and responsibility in our Church and are looked at with the utmost respect. "Served him well?"

When, if ever, did you attend a Mormon Sunday service? We are about as normal as it gets. We are as Biblical as a church can be. Temple worship - all through the Bible. Baptism for the dead - in the Bible (for our families).

The LDS church is full of the best people I've had the privilege of knowing all my life. Charitable, hard-working, honest, moral, Christ-centered. It's hard to see our faith mocked by so many. You are all welcome to visit us any time and find out for yourselves what we believe and what we are like. You will be pleasantly surprised.

If you want to find out the truth about something, isn't it best to go to the source instead of elsewhere?

Our church is the first responder when there is a disaster anywhere in the world. You will find food, clothing, helping hands all ready to go and serve communities and faiths of all kinds. We are a good people. Don't take the word of those who don't really know what they are talking about. It doesn't serve you well.

The desperation in Obama's supporters comments are laughable if they were not so pathetic. Distraction and distortion is the only mechanism left when there is no record to defend.

4 Americans died. The ambassador twice asked for security, - denied. Navy Seal Wool was told not to go in and try to save his fellow Americans a job he was trained to do.Why? Wood asked not once , not twice but 3 times for help which was 30 miles away and was told, sorry Charlie. Why? Why would someone in our government deny help which was 30 miles away? Why does Obama either evade the question or said this has nothing to do with the election then goes on National TV and declares his number one job is to protect the American People. Well, it is obvious he has failed on this job, he has failed in turning this ecomony around. 23 million people out of work. Gasoline prices double then when he took office. Food stamps usage at an all time high. Obamacare a tax increase for all Americans and a death sentence for many Americans if they are over 73 or older. America is not working.Obama is not working.Obama is bad for you. bad for America and I know he is bad for me and my family. We need a real Leader who give us real jobs in a real recovery and who will answer the call for help when an American overseas and not on the battlefield says, "can you help me?" Romney will not have to look into what happened because he wil send in our forces to save even one life because he knows the loss of one American is one too many.

Vote Romney/Ryan in 2012 and reclaim America.

Seriously, people…think about it. I should be able to judge someone's character as it relates to the decisions they make, with one of those decisions being the religion they choose to spend their time and money. It doesn't make me a bigot. It makes me informed. Romney voters in the Midwest and East Coast have NO idea what this religion really means. Especially for women.

Maybe you all are reacting with such vitriol because a little part of you knows it's true. You do know it's true, don't you?

The magazine was paid for by a super PAC called the "Ending Spending Action Fund," which was founded by conservative billionaire and owner of the Chicago Cubs baseball team, Joe Ricketts.

One loser supporting another. And if anyone should know about throwing money away, it would be the owner of the Cubs. What's it been, a hundred and four years? LOL. This is too funny.

I read an article that said that Mitt Romney being a Mormon was acceptable to southernors because the Mormon church did not allow AA members until 1978. From the AP article this morning that said the republican party is more racist now than they ever were in history I understand this concept. I am very happy to be a member of the democratic party which is the party for all races.

Thank you, THANK YOU a hundred times over for putting out the truth there for everybody to see. The brilliant way you framed your argument, and the incontrovertible evidence that you presented to back it up, were enough to overwhelm and obviate YEARS of Socialist- Muslim indoctrination in my poor tortured mind.

Now that you have revealed THE TRUTH, anybody who isn't 100% CONVINCED by your SUPERIOR intellect and FORMIDABLE use of capitals is obviously one of those DUMB AMERICANS and who needs them anyway? Not patriotic all-American HE-MEN like us, that's for sure!

I see the far left is out in force whining and calling names. I never get a response when we state facts versus fiction. Facts are 47 million on food stamps versus 32 million in 2008. 23 million unemployed and no positive movement since 2008. Deficit of 16 trillion.

Fact, Obama promised to lower unemployment under 5.5% and it is 7.8% with many people working lesser jobs or just given up and are now on welfare and food stamps. Fact, Obama promised to cut the deficit in half, but doubled it. Fact, black unemployment is now over 16%. In essence, Obama talks about helping the poor, but people are poorer after four years.

Have you seen the President's 20 page plan he put in a binder? It is hilarious and full of big print and pictures. It has no budget specifics, just a bunch of the same campaign promises he claimed 4 years ago.

If Romney is elected, be prepared for the banks to go belly-up in about three or so years; I plan to have some hard money on hand, and have the Y2K stash up and ready. I really like my 401(K) having money in it, but be prepared to see it all go away if the 1% needs it to keep their yachts. Or watch as Pres. Mitt spends more billions of dollars for banks 'too big to fail'. Banks always screw up if they're not regulated. Blame Clinton all you want for getting rid of Glass-Steagall, but isn't it amazing how Republican presidents don't think the banks need any regulation at all? (quote, 'And I'll get rid of Dodd-Frank, too!' in the second debate.

Women, please note that Romney only gets in the face of women moderators. There's an underlying disrespect for women there that perhaps you should notice.

I have reviewed all the comments about how wonderful Obama is but has anyone heard of the new Bill HR4646 which Obama will be passing right after he is elected. Perhaps you should know your SS check and any pension , bank deposit will be taxed 1% every month it is direct deposted as is every deposit you make to your account including tax refunds. What other surprises are we in for? ; Do you still think Obama is telling you the truth because he is not and the surprise will be when you realize that he has lied to the American hard working honest people. He has nothing to lose. Last run for Pres.

Gloria, just this week I've started a new movement; we're calling ourselves the "+1%ers." Permit me to elaborate:

I'm just a working-class stiff. I don't make buckets of cash, despite being a skilled tradesman, but I don't have to look far to see people who are worse off than me by a mile. Now, Americans are all about being self- reliant and standing on our own two feet, and that's great- gave us guys like Chuck Yeager and Steve Jobs. But we also believe in helping out our neighbors- I bet you did your part for the poor people who got clobbered by Katrina, didn't you? Of course you did- an American sees somebody in a bad spot, we drop everything and pitch in to help. It's just who we are.

The idea behind +1% is that we'll support rolling back the Bush tax cuts from 2002 and/or voluntarily have our taxes bumped up by just a tiny bit- one percent. If you get paid weekly, that's going to work out to about half a paycheck. I'm paying about 18.5% now, so if it goes up to 19.5%, is the additional burden on me too much to bear? Hardly! The whole point is that we all pitch in to pay down our national debt, which will mean a stronger economy now and in the future- it'll pay off especially for our kids who are still in school.

+1% isn't about class, because everybody contributes in the same proportion. It's not about party, because everybody benefits! Interestingly, so far everybody who has signed on has been a liberal. Are you in? Think about it!

the president forgot to tell that to the U.S.citizens!

In laymans terms, (stand down) same as not to protect the men being attacked!

Pathetic creatures - republicans that is. YOu don't even know what you stand for and who you are voting for. You worry about little comments, or small reactions. Why don't you think about thebig reactions and stances or your despicable leaders. You're apparently brainwashed that is why and you won't let any intelligent matter get into your brains. After I just found out that Alan Greenspan was a russian atheist economic supporter I am livid. And I didn't like Ryan because of that. How many others of his ilk are out there and are being reelected every year?. I bet God thinks we are a pathetic bunch especially when some even say they are Christians. Rev Hagee may be on the right track but he is definitely in the wrong pew.
