As President Obama and Mitt Romney campaigned heavily in the battleground state of Ohio on Thursday, new polls show neck-and-neck race in Colorado with both candidates tied at 48 percent; meanwhile in Nevada, the president still holds a slight advantage. NBC's Chuck Todd reports.
Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney has appropriated for himself one of President Barack Obama's most potent lines of attack throughout this election.
If there is a candidate who represents the status quo and whose plans for the next four years are hazy, it's Obama, as Romney tells it.
It's the same charge the Obama campaign has used against Romney -- with great effect -- for most of 2012. But in a stroke of irony, the Republican nominee has turned the attack back toward the president, with a degree of success.
"This election is a choice between the status quo," Romney said during a major speech on Friday in Iowa, "or choosing real change."
Governor Mitt Romney addressed a crowd of supporters in Ames, Iowa, touting himself as a candidate of change and promising to "bring that kind of change, real change to our country."
The former Massachusetts governor has stumped for most of this week by calling himself the candidate of "big change," claiming for himself the mantle of "change" that Obama had first powerfully represented in 2008.
Moreover, Romney has begun ridiculing Obama's plans for a second term as thin and vague at best.
"You see the President’s campaign is slipping, the president’s campaign is slipping because he can't find an agenda. He's been looking for it -- there's only 12 days left," Romney said at a rally Thursday in Ohio. "He hasn't had a chance to defend it or to describe it to the American people in our debates and so the American people now have to recognize that given the big challenges and the big election we have it's time for a big change."
NBC's Chuck Todd and David Gregory weigh in on the candidates' closing arguments as the presidential race comes down to the wire. Their messages: Mitt Romney promises change while President Obama argues for trust.
If Romney's offensive seems familiar, that might be due to its similarities to many of Obama's own attacks on the Republican nominee.
The president, for instance, has sought throughout the campaign to link Romney to former President George W. Bush, arguing that little has changed in Romney's proposals from the last Republican to inhabit the White House.
"We can’t afford to go backwards to the same policies that got us into this mess; we’ve got to go forward with the policies that are getting us out of this mess," Obama said yesterday at a rally in Virginia.

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney delivers his speech on the economy during a campaign stop at Kinzler Construction Services, Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, in Ames, Iowa.
And Obama mocked Romney's jobs plans as nonsensical and insubstantial, much as Romney has begun to do of Obama's second-term agenda.
"I’ve got a plan that will actually create jobs, not just talk about creating jobs -- a plan that will actually create middle-class security, not just use the words but not deliver on the promise," Obama said at the same rally in Richmond. "Unlike my opponent, I’m actually proud to talk about what’s in my plan, because the arithmetic works."
But Romney has been able to turn these criticisms back against Obama precisely because voters suggest that they are seeking change, even if Obama is re-elected. Sixty-two percent of registered voters, for instance, said in this week's NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll that Obama should make "major changes" in a potential second term.
Obama's campaign also produced a new, glossy pamphlet -- which packages many of Obama's existing jobs proposals, which have met defeat on Capitol Hill -- in a glossy pamphlet. Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan ridiculed it as a "comic book" during a rally Thursday in Virginia.
"President Obama really hasn’t given us a vision for a second term agenda. Just a couple of days ago he came up with a slick new brochure, with less than two weeks left to say, 'Oh I do actually have an agenda,'" he said. "It is ... a slick re-packaging of more of the same."
That Obama hasn't laid out much of a comprehensive second term agenda -- combined with the overall thirst for "change" among many voters -- has only aided Romney and Ryan's ability to sidestep many of the questions about their own plans that had dogged the Republican ticket for much of the election. When asked about the difficult arithmetic or politics underlying Romney's proposals, Republicans are arguing in the closing days of the election that Obama has hardly offered better.
In an interview on Friday with radio host Michael Smerconish, the president dismissed Romney's claim to "big change" -- by again voicing his familiar criticism of Romney.
"What Gov. Romney's offering is a return to policies that have failed us in the past," Obama said. "He's now talking about them as 'big changes.' They're not big changes; they're a repeat, a relapse, of things that haven't worked for American families for over a decade now."

Obama/Biden 2012!
Four More Years!!
You know, In spite of his great performance in office, I thought that maybe Barack didn't really want the job after the first debate. He seemed tired, poorly prepared in the first debate. He's more than assauged my doubts with his last two stellar debates and his recent marathon campaigning. Way to go, President Obama!
Vote Mitt. For the kind of Change we need! A woman in every Kitchen - baking cookies and taking her Man's advice...
... GOFIGUREIT, 11 EAGLES, SAXON, RISK-1, CONCERNEDAMERICA, KWILSON, MITKO, C.COOK, TAMMY, JWCHANCEY .... please respond to the logic behind this as a republican ..............
.... YOU WANT TO BLAME OBAMA FOR WHAT HAPPENED IN THE MIDDLE EAST where there has beem turmoils and war and bombs on a daily basis ? Not to disrespect of discount the American loss of those four men killed ... May God bless them and their families ....
THIS IS WHAT BUSH DID or DIDN'T DO ON AMERICAN SOIL ....
What Bush Knew Before Sept.11
"We were trying to figure out what they (al Qaeda) would do. We never had specifics about time, place, MO (method of operation)."
U.S. intelligence official, commenting anonymously.
President Bush was told in the months before the Sept. 11 attacks that Osama bin Laden's terrorist network might hijack U.S. passenger planes - information which prompted the administration to issue an alert to federal agencies - but not the American public.
CBS News National Security Correspondent David Martin says the warning was in a document called the President's Daily Brief, which is considered to be the single most important document that the U.S. intelligence community turns out. The document did not, however, mention the possibility of planes being flown
into buildings.
An agent in the FBI's Arizona office did, however, speculate about that, writing in his case notes about Zacarias Moussaoui that Moussaoui seemed like the type of person who was capable of flying an aircraft into the World Trade Center.
It was the observation of an agent taking notes as he thought about his case - an observation whose significance simply did not register at the time.
White House spokesman Ari Fleischer says that while President Bush was told last summer that bin Laden's al Qaeda network might hijack planes, he did not receive information suggesting that airplanes might be used as suicide bombs, as they were on Sept. 11.
Fleischer emphasizes that "until the attack took place, I think it's fair to say that no one envisioned that as a possibility."
The revelation about the president's security briefing comes as House and Senate Intelligence Committee investigators prepare for public hearings beginning next month on whether an intelligence community which spends $30 billion a year should have been able to provide a more specific warning in advance of Sept. 11.
The New York Times reports that an FBI agent in Arizona warned his superiors last summer that bin Laden might be sending students to U.S. flight schools.
Investigators have since Sept. 11 suspected bin Laden's al Qaeda network of masterminding the terror attacks on America, which killed more than 3,000 people.
Republicans don't want to see the bigger picture .... the middle east has been at war since forever ... the attacks on the embassy happened in the middle east .... Bush was for-warned too ... and did nothing and they attacked us AMERICAN SOIL .... HUGE DIFFERENCE .....
OBAMA 2012
That happened ELEVEN YEARS AGO. Guess what, Bush has been gone for FOUR YEARS.
Get into this decade at least please.
And if you want a REAL history lesson, Clinton was offered Bin Laden TWICE and turned it down. No Bin Laden, NO 9/11!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In Libya, while they were being attacked those people asked for HELP. This administration told them NO.
Because Obama didn't want to offend Muslims, AMERICAN LIVES WERE EXPENDABLE.
Yes - it happened 11 years ago. The point is, you did not hold Bush to the same standard you are holding Obama. No one was clamoring to impeach Bush when 3,000 Americans died.
... and the fact .... bush knew months in advance and the terrorism happened on American soil .. yes(thank you choco63) you do not hold Bush to the same standards as Obama for something that happened in a part of the world where bombs go off daily ???????????? where's the logic ... how many americans died going into a war that was unwarranted ... where's the logic .... bush shoulda been impeached ??????? how many americans died for his stupidity ?????????????

Ooops. Looks like Obama is losing Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. He wins there, who cares about Ohio?
Except the UAW that was given a gift of 4 BILLION taxpayer dollars and 60% of GM and the taxpayers are going to LOSE over 20 BILLION dollars while the UNIONS give themselves $7000 bonuses.
The 1 million jobs displaced by NAFTA trade, primarily in manufacturing, would have paid $800 per week or more in 2004. The average job in the rest of the economy paid only $683 per week, 16% to 19% less than trade-related jobs. Growing trade deficits with Mexico and Canada have pushed more than 1 million workers out of higher-wage jobs and into lower-wage positions in non-trade related industries. Thus, the displacement of 1 million jobs from traded to non-traded goods industries reduced wage payments to U.S. workers by $7.6 billion in 2004 alone.
NAFTA alone is responsible for the loss of at least 1,000,000 good paying U.S. jobs, mostly in manufacturing while at the same time wages continue to be driven down.
Other job killing Clinton initiatives, besides NAFTA and the U.S. joining the WTO, include Clinton praising the approval of China into the WTO with the statement "This landmark act will extend our economic prosperity at home while increasing the prospects for more openness in China".
Again, Clinton lied and continued his ruthless manipulation of the American worker. There was no extension of economic prosperity in the U.S. resulting from America joining the WTO and approving the entry of China into the organization. In an Economic Policy Institute (EPI) analysis, the results of trade with China equated to staggering job losses in America.
Contrary to the predictions of its supporters, China's entry into the World Trade Organization (WTO) has failed to reduce its trade surplus with the United States or increase overall U.S. employment. The rise in the U.S. trade deficit with China between 1997 and 2006 has displaced production that could have supported 2,166,000 U.S. jobs. Most of these jobs (1.8 million) have been lost since China entered the WTO in 2001.Between 2001 and 2006, jobs were displaced in every state and the District of Columbia. Nearly three-quarters of the jobs displaced were in manufacturing industries. Simply put, the promised benefits of trade liberalization with China have been unfulfilled.
Many economists blame the catastrophic trade imbalances between China and the U.S. as no more than China deliberately keeping its currency devalued while imposing slave wage rates. EPI suggests that this equates to a 40% Chinese subsidy on exports.
As a matter of policy, China tightly pegs its currency's value to that of the dollar at a rate that encourages a large bilateral surplus with the United States. Maintaining this peg required the purchase of about $200 billion in U.S. Treasury Bills and other securities in 2006 alone.1 This intervention makes the yuan artificially cheap and provides an effective subsidy on Chinese exports; best estimates are that the rate of this effective subsidy is roughly 40%. China also engages in extensive suppression of labor rights; it has been estimated that wages in China would be 47% to 85% higher in the absence of labor repression.
As the Chinese cleverly manipulate their currency to give subsidized Chinese products price advantages in foreign markets, this is at the expense of the American worker. More importantly, there is no way that the American worker can possibly compete with the slave wages in China.
China's inhuman labor practices are legendary. Recently, UPI reported an incident about 31 Chinese workers who were forced to work as slaves in a brick factory owner by a Communist Party official. They were emaciated and were fed nothing but bread and water. The workers had burns all over their bodies from being forced to carry bricks that had not cooled.
Such is the reality of Clinton and Bush defined "prosperity" and "free trade". The Clinton and Bush gangs represent the two premier crime families in America and we must absolutely work to permanently banish them from future power and political office before American becomes just another third world hovel.
Romney wants to run from the status quo of: improving economy, social secrutiry, medicare sovent for another 9 years, falling unemployment, growing housing market, growing respect for U.S. around the world, DADT overturned, DOMA declared unconstitutional, ObamaCare passed and return to the economy of the 1920s.
"falling unemployment" because hundreds of THOUSANDS are being DROPPED from the unemployment rolls but still are NOT working.
The housing market is NOT growing, unless you consider ONE MONTH as "growth". And that is for NEW houses only. Older houses the market is DOWN. And in the spring the foreclosures START up again because of the 9-12 month crap the government imposed to stop foreclosures runs out.
NO RESPECT for this nation around the world. Even our allies think we are a joke.
Yep, let's make the military a social experiment instead of having them DEFEND THIS NATION in the way that THEY know is the correct way.
DOMA is STILL Constitutional until the SUPREME COURT rules otherwise.
Obamacare passed 617 BILLION dollars in NEW TAXES directly on the middle class and poor according to the CBO.
And the economy of the 20's? Were they paying $4 for gas? Were they paying higher food prices and higher prices for everything else? Was the government spending 40 BILLION taxpayer dollars every month to buy up mortgages as "securities"????? The VERY THING that caused the recession in the first place?
You name yourself "time for truth", and then put out the idiocy that you do?
Time for FACTS is what you need.
HISTORY SHOULD deal harshly with Bill Clinton. Throughout his terms, real wages stagnated, manufacturing and service jobs moved overseas in large numbers, and the middle class was squeezed. With the federal government asleep at the wheel, there was a significant rise in predatory lending practices by banks and mortgage companies. By Clinton's final years in office, all of these trends had contributed to an ominous rise in delinquencies and foreclosures on subprime mortgage loans. This was particularly pronounced in urban America. In Chicago, for instance, foreclosures on subprime mortgages rose from 131 in 1993 to more than 5,000 in 1999.
By the time Bush took office in 2001, the Federal Reserve was once again stepping on the accelerator. The collapse of Enron, a wave of corporate governance scandals, and then the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks were a drag on economic activity, and so the Fed lowered interest rates from 6 percent to 1 percent between January 2001 and June 2003.
The lower interest rates helped revive the stock market and housing bubbles. It was like pouring gasoline on a fire. By July 2005, the Economist was referring to the U.S. housing market as "the largest financial bubble in history." Some officials began to sound the alarm. The debt of American households was climbing nearly 20 percent a year, the savings rate had fallen below zero, and the cash being pulled out of homes from mortgage refinancings had reached about 5 percent of GDP. This fueled an enormous consumption binge and a growing trade deficit that put downward pressure on the dollar. Oil producing countries, paid in dollars, began raising oil prices to make up the difference.
It was clear the housing bubble had spread into an even larger dollar bubble. Something had to be done. But without margin requirements or any other selective credit controls, the Federal Reserve could only raise short-term interest rates to cool the housing market and encourage household savings. Starting in 2004, the Fed began tapping on the brake, raising short-term interest rates seventeen consecutive times from 1 percent to 5.25 percent over a two-year period.
If Greenspan was worried that the rise in interest rates could lead to panic, he tried not to show it. "The vast majority of homeowners," he said, "have a sizable equity cushion with which to absorb a potential decline in house prices."
Greenspan could not have been more wrong. The steep rise in home foreclosures, now at an all-time record high, has contributed to a downward spiral of housing prices, which in turn has contributed to more foreclosures. By last August, there were more than 200,000 monthly foreclosure filings nationwide. For all of 2007, 1.2 million properties-more than 1 percent of all U.S. households-were in some stage of foreclosure, up 75 percent in only a year. By April 2008, about 2 percent were in foreclosure, and nearly 9 percent, some 4.8 million home loans, were past due or in foreclosure.
Losses from the subprime meltdown have surely passed half a trillion dollars, and some estimates now exceed a trillion dollars. Major U.S. financial institutions have turned for help to central banks and sovereign wealth funds from abroad. The housing market is in its worst decline in memory, the dollar is falling to record lows, and the U.S. economy may be heading into recession.
So why don't you run for office and bore them instead of us with this tripe?
And tripe it is. Pubic seem to think every successful Democratic President should be impeached and jailed, but the loser Republican ones should be rewarded. Pubic is taking simpleton to all new lows.
Not bad...but you missed the faulty "securitization" process, and a dozen other problems. And, about half of the subprime loans made were made by front-line lenders who were not subject to the CRA. Greenspan did have the power to regulate them, but declined because of his view that "free markets self-regulate."
The subprime boom was between 2003 and 2006, although I don't question the selective data you present regarding foreclosures in Chicago. And, of course, you missed Bernanke's reason for the melt-down: "Asian savings."
Now ask yourself who in the Government monitors conditions in the Banking and Finance sectors of the economy to ensure no harm comes to the citizens?
The President? No. It is done in the congress, by committee.
Who were the chairs of those committees at the time of the melt down?
Dodd and Frank.
They should be in Jail
Nonsense.
The meltdown began in mid-to-late 2006, prior to Dodd and Frank assuming their Committee Chairmanships.
They were, in effect, only around for the results of a fiasco.
Government "monitors" the financial sector in various ways...most directly through regulatory agencies, among them the Treasury Department, and various other Cabinet level departments (such as the Department of Housing and Urban Development), the SEC, the OCC, the OTC, the CFTC, the FDIC, and others. Beyond the federal government, state regulators agencies also play a part, including state insurance commissions.
The Barney Frank-Chris Dodd story is for simpletons...as I am sure of which you are aware, no?
NBC is slacking off. Romney was catch in not just a lie, but a lie that could have impacted stock values and the economy. Is that leadership? Where is the online coverage of the jeep story?
Return to news instead of sensationalism, NBC.
Yeah...the press in general shouldn't let him get away with that one.
social secrutiry,? No can zpell 2day... but can follow the party line...
Democrats just can't handle the fact that Obama had a Dem Congress for two years and the ONLY thing they really accomplished was Obamacare, which about 1/2 the country was opposed to.
IF by some miracle Obama is re-elected, will he blame the next 4 years on the guy in charge for the LAST 4 years?
mike,
After Romney loses, do you think that he'll run again in 2016?
Might not be much point in it if Obama is reelected--the whole country will be way too far in the crapper by then.
Guess you're naive,politically,Grasshopper..
The passage of Obamacare was the cornerstone of the new vision, but hardly the only element of progress. Just check out CNN's "snapshot of Obama's economy", we are (at least marginally) better off than four years ago.
Mr. Obama has tried to proceed in a coherent and balanced manner, not just the wholesale slashing and hacking and howling of the Grand Obstructionist Poopies. When the scum of the Senate: Boozer, Burr, Toomey, and Johanss couldn't even manage the decency to OK a jobs bill for Veterans, all vestiges of GOP integrity and just governance were cast aside.
Your Republican campaign has dug new and slimy holes of distortions, reached an all time low in their regard for even the simplest of truths, and demonstrated over and over again an arrogant pride of ignorance reminiscent of the Joe McCarthy era.
You want to see more progress against this set of economic challenges? Well then just clear your GOP butts out of the way and watch the recovery happen!
All I need to know is 4 years ago the Country was shedding 600 thousand jobs a month, every month, even during the holiday hiring season.
The rats are abandoning the sink ship. Hillary to step down after one term. Hope she doesn't think she can just go away for four years and all will be forgotten. Her name will always be linked to the Libya situation. Kinda of like a stain stuck to a blue dress.
timmy,
If and when Hillary steps down, it will be for one reason and one reason alone....preparing to run for her own eight years in the White House.
Your infant grandkids will be asking to borrow the car keys before another Republican might have a legitimate shot at the Oval Office.
She has no chance of ever being elected president after the mess she's in over Libya. Hate to burst your bubble, but....
That political perspective from a man, and a viewer of FOX, I presume.
Nice try dumbass.. I would have voted for her over Obama in '08, but that was then, this is now.
Poor timmy has twelve more years of frustration in his future. Good.
Not really. I survived the last four years of failure. I can make it through twelve more.
Romney buys want he wants, like his nomination.Anybody else that stood up at the convention, was thrown out on the street. You have no choice but to shine his shoes.
Comments like mine are the truth.
You know, I had to leave my home two years ago to find a good paying job. Had to move to another state to get another job comparable to what I had and keep my family going. Not the same for the rest of my family.
My "hero in his own mind" brother in law, meanwhile, has been unemployed for over a year now, living off his wife's wages. Good wages, I might add, or they couldn't make it work. Let's see her lose her contraception, shall we? You know who'll be screaming blue bloody murder the loudest? Her husband.
I am also taking care of my father right now. 76 years old. He's has SS and retirement but it's not enough. He needed to live with me. He stays home and he didn't want to clean or cook. That's changed, let me tell you. He cleans now and cooks. And he's piped down with all his opinions about women that he's had all his life.
I also want to stay that I am so proud of Hillary Clinton's service as Secretary of State during the past four year. I love Hillary. I appreciate her service. I hear in the media she intends to step down as SOS in Barack's next administration. She has more to come in her life's journey, whatever she decides. I just want her to know how much I appreciate her excellent work on behalf of this nation. The ladies of this country get it, we have your back.
When four Americans lose their lives, which should have been avoided, you consider that excellent work?
Victoria,
You'll be seeing Hillary again in 2016...and in 2020.
History compels her to run, and American women have never had a better chance to shatter the glass ceiling in the Oval Office.
Yes, I think Hillary is an excellent Amercan, and excellent stateswomen, exceeding you and I by far (particularly you), and I stand up and applaud her.
You wouldn't know greatness if it slapped you in the face. The closest you'll get to greatness is forcing a female in your family to give birth to a child that you can rock on your fat, unemployed lap while she waits tables.
Comments like that shouldn't make you wonder why many independents will more than likely be driven towards Romney this election.
I be thinkin the only glass ceilings that she will shatter is the sky light at millwood. It's a hospital.
Clearly your most intelligent post to date.
It was the only post of mine that would match your thought process, a blank..
Romoney will be sure to give us CHANGE - change from one way of thinking to another on a weekly basis - who really knows exactly what this guy will do in office! If you think you know, you'll be fooled because . . . he'll change!
He is simply a pawn for the wealthiest in America to get what they want. The Kochs wouldn't have bet on an investment that wasn't going to give them quite a return on that investment. You think their money was a GIFT. You're wrong, they'll get their money back from us - the hard working Americans. (not from Romoney!)
Well we are down to crunch time and the melly mouthed community organizer from Chicago is still spitting out his glorious speeches to the multitude about how great he is or at least thinks he is. Kind of reminds me of another very effective speaker differance being the crowd yelled Zeck Hile when they cheered.
Obama's smoke screen is about over. He cannot BS his way any longer. The proof is in 4 dead Americans who were serving their country with honor and on a mission of peace. The proof is in 23 million Americans out of work. The proof is in fast and furious another sleezy cover up of another dead American bravely serving his country as a border patrolman. The proof is in a supposed to be secret statement to the Russians I will have more flexability in my second term that was captured on tape. Yes a real slim bag at work who manged to fool the majority of Americans last election. I do not think he will do it again.
You can actually see the desperation in his demeaner. You can tell he talks in circles with no teleprompter to guide him through his statement of lies hand crafted by the likes of Axlerod super slim ball no 2. Don't even count Biden that mental midget is nothing more than an errand boy. He probably cleans the White House toilets it is the only thing he qualified to do. After all everytime he opens his mouth crap comes out. No I think the party is just about over. Chicago make room some of your slim ball politicans are getting ready to come home. Better in your cess pool of dirty politics than disgracing the hollowed grounds of the white house.
Yes, all the Mitt has to do is talk about the past 4 years and Omama will not mention the word change.
The 47 will not listen and the other 3 ro 4 % will and he's gone. Oh, don't forget Mama Michell.
Hell, not that Mitt is gonna be any better but, who could not beat the Obama with his record?
"I’ve got a plan that will actually create jobs, not just talk about creating jobs -- a plan that will actually create middle-class security, not just use the words but not deliver on the promise," Obama said at the same rally in Richmond. "Unlike my opponent, I’m actually proud to talk about what’s in my plan, because the arithmetic works."
I have read the President's plan on the Internet. There are no details and virtually no numbers. It is not much more than a big wish list. There are no budgets. The arithmetic needs numbers to work but there are no numbers, no estimates of how much things that he would like to do are going to cost. The plan talks about cutting but does not really say what is going to be caught. For the plan to work the federal government will have to realize a savings of more than 2 trillion dollars per year by bringing the troops home in 2014. That number is more than twice the size of our current defense budget that includes our expenses for all over seas operations. The arithmetic does not work. The President promised that he would cut the federal deficit in half in four years. That did not happen. The President's administration said that if the stimulus were passed that unemployment would never rise above 8% and that by now unemployment would be less than 6%. That did not happen. Considering the broken promises on the economy, the lack of definition, and the mathematical impossibility, there is no way that one can believe that the President's plan will work. A vote for Obama will be a vote for, at best, another 4 years of what we have been experiencing in the last 4 years only this time the President will not have to worry about being reelected.
Which America, Mr Romney, your friends the 1%'ers? What a hypocrite?
And there lies the problem with the GOP of today, totally out of touch with the people of America. The present day GOP, the party that Reagan and Bushes destroyed, has clearly demonstrated over the last 3 decades they;
GOP, is the Party of the rich, by the rich, for the rich, ...
Thank you Mr Romney for your honesty, but sorry, you are not good enough for the American people.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So incredibly stupid ... even after some thought and brainstorm with the other morons in his campaign he not only repeats the mistake, putting a conditional scenario before taking any action to help people, ... he adds more stupidity by proposing a discriminatory policy to cover his perception of an American class structured society.
This idiot has absolutely no clue what the Office of the Presidency is about, let alone what leadership is about.
Sorry Mr Romney but you are not qualified to fill the position of President, go away.
This is what we need, another peeon telling us what to do. Yep, you know who I bee talkin about girlfreind.
Romney is such a jack-ass,, but he likes cars.
he likes trees
maybe he will build them a house in a land far far away.......dear lord
My guess is that Mitt has enough money to try again in 2016 after losing in 2012, even though no Republican in their right mind would want him to.
Mr. Romney your election is doomed by the word R
You put up double R as your election signature.
However the three Rs have done you in!
The three Rs are:
1. Rape - Intent of God by Murddock
2. Race - John Sonanu
3. Retard - Ann Coulter
haha.... Amorphous Mitt at work..... just what America needs a shapeshifter president ready to give more goodies to the rich!!
Bain and Romney saved hundreds of companies. They can be seen on every street corner of your city or town and employ millions Americans. The tax base they provide helps city, state, and even the federal governments afloat in this horrible Obama economy.

How many small businesses did they put out of business and how much in taxes would those businesses have paid, versus those paid by those on your list?
Creating efficient businesses is not "governing." Romney just mastered an out-of-date business model based on mass consumption and financial services, coupled to cheap imports and low retail and service wages and benefits. Can't go back to that for a long, long time, if ever.
If efficiency were the end of government, the founding fathers would have never established a system of "checks and balances," with so many redundancies.

Nice try Publius, look at those companies;
They are all retail companies, low paying jobs and the JOBS that cannot be shipped overseas
Sensata's Jobs can be ship overseas and is being done by Bain as we speak. Hello China. The same thing Romney did when he was the Kahuna at Bain.
HCA? Doctors and Nurses?
Weather Channel? Produces? Directors? Technicians? Meteorologist?
Aspen? Counselors? Teachers?
Warner Music???
Clear Channel???
Your an idiot. Do some research before you post.
Will Haas- Ok So tell me about the Romney/Ryan plan, and do the numbers work? What is the 5 point plan that isn't vague also? I think that not having to worry about reelection will be a good thing, and if we can force the republicans to work with the President, we can make some real strides and get Americans back to work!
I am not talking about the Romney/Ryan plan. The President promised that he would cut the deficit in half during his first 4 years. That did not happen. The President's solution to our unemployment problem was the stimulus. It did not solve the problem as advertised. The President's economic plan for the next 4 years is devoid of detail and is at best, fantasy economics. We should not let ourselves be fooled again.
I'm sure Willard will change if he makes it to the WH..As matter of fact, he'll change his his positions and policies every other day...
Mitt will be burning up the phone lines to Salt Lake City regarding social issues....that's for sure.
that's the best you can do, Bill?
the cult fer sure will tell him what to do...
I have yet to hear Rommney mention what G. Bush did to this country along with the bankers who bankrupted themselves and cause foreclosures and job layoffs and firings that still go on today. What the Bush/Cheany clan did to this country should of had both tried for treason. Where did the Trillion dollars go that was "lost" when sent over to Iraq? Still not found yet it is trying to be pushed aside and not mentioned. Bush tried the tax break for the rich and promised trickle down effect that would bring on millions of jobs. Maybe it happened overseas but not here. Most of the rich with the nice tax breaks went on vacations, bought another home etc. By the way Rommney where are your taxes at? Did you pay any the two years you refuse to show? Maybe Donald Trump will give you 5 million to show your taxes. Not any one person with a congress that refuses to create jobs here can fix what George Bush did to this country when Congress gave him a virtual rubber stamp. Rommney has filp flopped and says what people want to hear and then IF he gets elected all hell will break loose. Congress needs to be cleaned out and new members in place that are not OWNED by any company ie. Koch brothers etc. We, the tax paying public (legal) need to vote out all legislature and put in new members who are not owned. Govenors also. We in the US need to STOP buying JUNK made in ASIA and demand it be made here. We need to stop protecting big businesses interests overseas that kill our soldiers. We need to stregthen our boarders and worry about the USA and not other countries that bleed money from the US taxpayers. Buy US not Foreign.....use wal mart less. Look what the govenor in MI has done to the Unions, next there will be no unions and you will be working for $3 a day just like Asia does. BUY USA made.... Mr. Rommney when will you mentin and blame president Bush and his congress?????
blame blame blame blame blame blame blame blame blame ... that's all you people have. Who the F cares about George Bush now? that was four year ago. when will we be past it? Ever???
not, just blame, but a careful battle to be sure it doesn't happen again ... Semper Vigilans
why is this fight needed? because your Republican party has been hijacked by reactionary radicals, bent on unraveling and hollowing out the middle class.
