There was an article in last week's NYT about Romney's term as Governor of Mass. In his four years, he spent over 420 days out of the State leaving most residents to conclude that the Governorship mattered nothing more than a credential to seek the Presidency. There was an article in last week's NYT about Romney's term as Governor of Mass. In his four years, he spent over 420 days out of the State leaving most residents to conclude that the Governorship mattered nothing more than a credential to seek the Presidency.

As a resident of Mass myself, and one that had the "pleasure" of having Romney as my Governor, I can tell you this: most of us are happy that Romney was gone as much as he was. We fear that the damage to our state would have been much greater had Mitt given 100% of his time to his actual job.

Romney will shamelessly say anything to get elected. If he gets in, watch out. Most of his advisors are ex=Bush neocon warhawks. The very same advisors that pushed war with Iraq since 1998 are pushing for war with Iran. Romney's willingness to tell whatever lies that will advance his agenda combined with the push for war, will get a lot of people killed, your sons and daughters.

Don't be fooled by Romney's recent shift to a more moderate position. With so many Bush people on his team, America will be driven into the ditch again just as we were climbing out.

Moody's predicts 12 million new jobs in the next 4 years leaving everything that Obama has done in place. Why is it that Romney's tax cut plan will only give the same 12 million jobs?(and only if everything goes the way they hopes it does).

In Romney's plan, they constantly refer to what happened in other recessions, yet they never reference the the crash that most resembles the one we are climbing out of, the Great depression of the 30's. It took 10 years and a world war to get out of that one.

Romney is cherry picking the economic theories to present his rosey vision of tax cuts balancing the budget. Reality will not be kind to such wrecklessness. Just as Bush's advisors cherry picked information that fit their agenda to go to war with Iraq, the same advisors have cherry picked the economics of recovery. America cannot afford the same Iraq like fiasco happening to the economy. Romney's numbers don't add up unless some segment of the population,(everyone but the rich), will be paying a lot more.

6. Mass piled on more debt than any other state

7. Romney presided over a 15% cut in spending on unrestricted aid to cities and towns; he also cut funding for local schools. Because of this, the average local property tax bill increased by 24%

8. Romney also increased fees on his residents from marriage certificates, to car registrations, to licensing.

9. While claiming to work with the other side, Romney forgets to mention he issued about 800 vetoes including vetoes on funding for elevators for the disabled.

Florida-based Live Prayer TV program as well as LivePrayer.com.

"If you vote for Mitt Romney, you are voting
for Satan!" he writes in his daily devotional.

Keller also comes out swinging against the
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints as a cult.

"This message today is not about Mitt Romney,"
he writes. "Romney is an unashamed and proud member of the Mormon cult founded
by a murdering polygamist pedophile named Joseph Smith nearly 200 years ago. The
teachings of the Mormon cult are doctrinally and theologically in complete
opposition to the Absolute Truth of God's Word. There is no common ground. If
Mormonism is true, then the Christian faith is a complete lie. There has never
been any question from the moment Smith's cult began that it was a work of Satan
and those who follow their false teachings will die and spend eternity in hell."

Keller is also critical of other evangelicals
who have reached out to Romney.

"I have watched in horror over the past weeks
as one evangelical Christian leader after another has either endorsed,
supported, or just as bad, refused to denounce Romney's run for the White House
and those Christian leaders who support him," Keller writes. "Last weekend Pat
Robertson, founder of CBN and Regent University, had Romney deliver the keynote
address to the graduates of Regent. Regent is one of the great Christian
colleges in this nation, and Robertson allowed this cult member to deliver the
commencement address. Is he out of his mind? Do you think there would ever be a
true Gospel preacher giving the commencement address at Brigham Young?"

Keller warned about Mormonism:

"I have been warning you for years now about
this cult born out of the pits of hell and responsible for sending millions of
souls to eternal damnation," Keller says. "For the nearly 200 years this cult
has been in existence they have strived for mainstream acceptance. They are the
most devious of all the cults since they have always tried to portray themselves
as 'just another Christian group' when in fact, they are no more Christian than
a Muslim is! Their deception starts with their name, the Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter Day Saints. Sounds like a Christian church doesn't it? Some Mormons
have recently changed their name to simply Community of Christ to disguise even
better who they are in an attempt to lure people in."

Keller says that when LDS members talk of God
and Jesus they are not talking about the God and Jesus of Christianity. He
claims Romney's high-profile candidacy for the presidency is an important effort
by the church to gain credibility and respectability.

He says if Romney wins the White House,
millions of people will be attracted to Mormonism.

"Those who follow the false teachings of this
cult, believe in the false jesus of the Mormon cult and reject faith in the one
true Jesus of the Bible, will die and spend eternity in hell," Keller charges.
"Romney getting elected president will ultimately lead millions of souls to the
eternal flames of hell!"

Keller also criticizes Romney for political
flip-flops on issues like abortion, citing a recent report that his wife donated
money to Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion provider in the world.

There is no excuse, no justification for
supporting and voting for a man who will be used by satan to lead the souls of

Q22 - Supposedly his testimony centered on the value of the Staples stock, which he "supposedly" stated was worthless, which would be why the wife sold them early to try to salvage something. Then Romney and the husband turned around and made big bucks off of it. Who is Mitt Romney? His shameless pandering to whoever's vote he is seeking at the moment raises the question of whether he is actually an empty suit with no core beliefs of his own or whether he is hiding his agenda because he knows it will lose him the election. Housing prices are going up, not down.

Banks have returned to profit.

The stock market is near record highs because American companies are making record profits.

The current P/E ration stands at 15.95 (source: http://www.multpl.com/ ). The historical average is 15.48. Given this, stocks are pretty much fairly valued, based on their profits.

So again :- the reason the stock market is near record highs is because the higher price is justified.

As far as the workforce is concerned, we have about the same number of people employed now as we did when Obama took office (source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jobs_created_during_U.S._presidential_terms)

The difference is that when he took office, people were losing their jobs all over, and since he managed to stabilize the economy, we have been recovering and are on our way up. We have had steady job growth for almost 3 years now.

Comparing job growth in Massachusetts 5 years after 2001 recession ended to other states that had already recovered earlier from this recession certainly is cherry picking your statistics. Massachusetts had the slowest recovery of jobs in its recorded history under Romney.

His 4 year rank was 43rd out of 50. This puts him in the lowest 14% of all Governors in that period. Median wage growth in Massachusetts was among the worst in the country during his 4 years as Governor. Romney even balanced his budget by raising fees that hit working people there very hard as well, but he gave the rich a free ride.

It became a campaign issue, as Republicans criticized the Obama administration for not calling it terrorism sooner."

However, this was significant downgrade from the two minutes and 17 seconds that CBS Evening News devoted to the story on Tuesday. Correspondent Sharyl Attkisson gave a more detailed timeline than Rose did, and pointed out that the e-mails are "likely to become part of the ongoing political debate over whether the administration attempted to mislead in saying the assault was an outgrowth of a protest, rather than a planned attack by terrorists." Neither ABC's World News nor NBC Nightly News covered the story the same evening.

ABC's Good Morning America devoted less than half the time - 25 seconds - on the Benghazi development than CBS This Morning. News anchor Josh Elliott summarized that "newly-obtained e-mails show the State Department and the White House were advised that a militant group had claimed responsibility just two hours after the attack. For several days after, the White House still publicly attributed the attack to spontaneous protests. Intelligence sources point out other possibly conflicting messages may also have been sent."

This is just the latest instance of the broadcast media being more interested in pursuing a story that might be injurious to Mitt Romney than an actual White House scandal. Earlier in October, ABC, CBS, and NBC all ignored a scoop from the Spanish-language network Univision, who found 57 previously unreported firearms in the Fast and Furious gunwalking controversy that were used by Mexican drug cartels in crimes.

More blatantly, the Big Three devoted 88 minutes during one week in September to the secretly-recorded "47 percent" remark from the former Massachusetts governor, compared to only six and a half minutes of coverage to a 14-year old recording of Obama voicing his support of redistribution of wealth.

SCOTT PELLEY (teaser): Sharyl Attkisson has obtained e-mails from the night of the attack on the U.S. ambassador in Benghazi. What the Obama administration knew and did not know.

PELLEY: It was six weeks ago today that terrorists attacked the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya. Now, we've obtained e-mail alerts that were put out by the State Department as the attack unfolded. As you know, four Americans were killed, including Ambassador Christopher Stevens.

Sharyl Attkisson has our story.

SHARYL ATTKISSON (voice-over): The e-mails contain the earliest descriptions so far of what happened at Benghazi the night of the attack. At 4:05 p.m. Eastern time on September 11, an alert from the State Department operations center was issued to a number of government and intelligence agencies - included were the White House Situation Room, the office of the Director of National Intelligence, and the FBI: 'U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi under attack. Approximately 20 armed people fired shots; explosions have been heard as well. Ambassador Stevens, who is currently in Benghazi, and four chief of mission personnel are in the compound safe haven.'

At 4:54, less than an hour later, another alert: 'The firing in Benghazi has stopped. A response team is on site attempting to locate chief of mission personnel.' Then, at 6:07, State sent out another alert, saying the embassy in Tripoli reported the Islamic military group, Ansar al-Sharia, claims responsibility for Benghazi attack on Facebook and Twitter, and 'has called for an attack on Embassy Tripoli'.

The e-mails are just a few in what is likely a large number traded throughout the night, and they're likely to become part of the ongoing political debate over whether the administration attempted to mislead in saying the assault was an outgrowth of a protest, rather than a planned attack by terrorists. Fourteen hours after the attack, President Obama sat down with Steve Kroft of '60 Minutes' for a previously scheduled interview, and said he did not believe it was simply due to mob violence.

PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA (from interview on CBS's "60 Minutes"): You're right that this is not a situation that was exactly the same as what happened in Egypt, and my suspicion is that there are folks involved in this who were looking to target Americans from the start.

ATTKISSON (on-camera): The White House and State Department declined comment on the e-mail alerts. The House Oversight Committee, Scott, told us the information in the e-mails will be part of their ongoing investigation into the Benghazi attack.

The Republicans are taking the low road by going through the voter roles in heavily Democratic areas and disqualifying as many as possible on any grounds in those areas from having the right to vote. Do some nation-building here at home: We’ll use half the savings from ending the war in Afghanistan to help pay down our debt and invest the rest in fixing our roads, runways, bridges, and schools.
End overseas wars and rebuild our economy. After responsibly ending overseas operations, the President will reinvest in our country by:

• Committing half of the money saved from responsibly ending overseas operations in Iraq and Afghanistan to reducing the deficit and the other half to investing in public infrastructure.
• Investing an additional $210 billion over six years to support a million jobs improving America’s roads, bridges, transit systems, railways, aviation systems and runways, and putting construction workers back to work.

Four years ago, without conditions of any kind to include any act of congress, the President promised that the 2012 federal deficit would not exceed 229.27 billion dollars yet in fact it exceeded 1.1 trillion dollars. That says a lot for the President's fiscal planning and sense of budget. For the past 4 years the President has been proposing a tax increase on the "rich" that congress has yet to pass. This increase in taxes would at most divert 100 billion dollars per year from the private sector to the public sector. The federal government has been trying to spark the economy by injecting more money. This move will have the opposite effect and will do little to solve our debt problem. so using 2012 figures the federal government will still have a trillion dollar debt to deal with.

According to the President's nomination acceptance speech, the troops will be coming home in 2014 so by 2015 the peace dividend will be in full effect. According to the President's plan, he is expecting to net more than 2 trillion dollars per year by bringing the troops home. It will take at least 1 trillion dollars to balance the budget and of course that has to be done before we can start running a surplus. Balancing the budget is done with just half of the peace dividend. That is why the peace dividend will have to be greater than 2 trillion dollars per year. So the President is claiming that we are spending more than two trillion dollars per year on the war on Afghanistan which is less than true. If the federal government cut out all defense spending that then cut the rest of the budget in half it would not generate the required savings. The President's plan is fantasy economics. The President's plan is mathematically impossible. It is the President who needs more math education.

As I’m sure you know, the Washington Post newspaper has always had a reputation for being extremely liberal, so the fact that its editor saw fit to print the following article about Obama in its newspaper makes this a truly amazing event and a news story in and of itself. Finally, the truth about our President and his obvious agenda is starting to trickle through the ‘protective walls’ built by our liberal media.

Years from now, historians may regard the 2008 election of Barack Obama as an inscrutable and disturbing phenomenon, the result of a baffling breed of mass hysteria akin perhaps to the witch craze of the Middle Ages.

How, they will wonder, did a man so devoid of professional accomplishment beguile so many into thinking he could manage the world's largest economy, direct the world's most powerful military, execute the world's most consequential job?

Imagine a future historian examining Obama's pre-presidential life: ushered into and through the Ivy League despite unremarkable grades and test scores along the way; a cushy non-job as a "community organizer"; a brief career as a state legislator devoid of legislative achievement (and in fact nearly devoid of his attention, so often did he vote "present"); and finally an unaccomplished single term in the United States Senate, the entirety of which was devoted to his presidential ambitions.

He left no academic legacy in academia, authored no signature legislation as a legislator. And then there is the matter of his troubling associations: the white-hating, America-loathing preacher who for decades served as Obama's "spiritual mentor"; a real-life, actual terrorist who served as Obama's colleague and political sponsor.

It is easy to imagine a future historian looking at it all and asking: how on Earth was such a man elected president?

Not content to wait for history, the incomparable Norman Podhoretz addressed the question recently in the Wall Street Journal: To be sure, no white candidate who had close associations with an outspoken hater of America like Jeremiah Wright and an unrepentant terrorist like Bill Ayers, would have lasted a single day.

But because Mr. Obama was black, and therefore entitled in the eyes of liberaldom to have hung out with protesters against various American injustices, even if they were a bit extreme, he was given a pass. Let that sink in: Obama was given a pass - held to a lower standard - because of the color of his skin.

Podhoretz continues: And in any case, what did such ancient history matter when he was also so articulate and elegant and (as he himself had said) "non-threatening," all of which gave him a fighting chance to become the first black president and thereby to lay the curse of racism to rest?

Podhoretz puts his finger, I think, on the animating pulse of the Obama phenomenon - affirmative action. Not in the legal sense, of course. But certainly in the motivating sentiment behind all affirmative action laws and regulations, which are designed primarily to make white people, and especially white liberals, feel good about themselves.

Unfortunately, minorities often suffer so that whites can pat themselves on the back. Liberals routinely admit minorities to schools for which they are not qualified, yet take no responsibility for the inevitable poor performance and high drop-out rates which follow.

Liberals don't care if these minority students fail; liberals aren't around to witness the emotional devastation and deflated self-esteem resulting from the racist policy that is affirmative action. Yes, racist.

Holding someone to a separate standard merely because of the color of his skin - that's affirmative action in a nutshell, and if that isn't racism, then nothing is.

And that is what America did to Obama. True, Obama himself was never troubled by his lack of achievements, but why would he be? As many have noted, Obama was told he was good enough for Columbia despite undistinguished grades at Occidental; he was told he was good enough for the US Senate despite a mediocre record in Illinois; he was told he was good enough to be president despite no record at all in the Senate.

All his life, every step of the way, Obama was told he was good enough for the next step, in spite of ample evidence to the contrary.

What could this breed if not the sort of empty narcissism on display every time Obama speaks?

In 2008, many who agreed that he lacked executive qualifications nonetheless raved about Obama's oratory skills, intellect, and cool character.

Those people - conservatives included - ought now to be deeply embarrassed. The man thinks and speaks in the hoariest of clichés, and that's when he has his Teleprompters in front of him; when the prompter is absent he can barely think or speak at all.

Not one original idea has ever issued from his mouth – it's all warmed-over Marxism of the kind that has failed over and over again for 100 years.

And what about his character?

Obama is constantly blaming anything and everything else for his troubles.

Bush did it; it was bad luck; I inherited this mess.

It is embarrassing to see a president so willing to advertise his own powerlessness, so comfortable with his own incompetence.

But really, what were we to expect?

The man has never been responsible for anything, so how do we expect him to act responsibly?

In short: our president is a small and small-minded man, with neither the temperament nor the intellect to handle his job.

When you understand that, and only when you understand that, will the current erosion of liberty and prosperity make sense. It could not have gone otherwise with such a man in the Oval Office.

They now propose another puppet to do their bidding by the name of Romney with the very same proposals as Howdy Doody. They believe us all to be fools. The above article about Obama, written by Matt Peterson was presented in "the American Thinker" a conservative blog. Although I am sure there are some who will outright dismiss it as a "right wing" attack, it was a very well written piece published in August 2011.

Obama was a total failure on all aspects of the Benghazi attack. He didn't anticipate it. Our Ambassador did anticipate it and requested more security. Obama turned him down. While the attack was underway, Obama was hiding under his desk, afraid to send any support.

But now it comes out that Obama knew it was a terrorist attack. Had he told the truth at the time, everyone would have known that he had committed a huge error in judgment not to grant the consulate's security request on the anniversary of 9/11. To prevent that, Obama deliberately mischaracterized the attack as a “spontaneous demonstration.”

Obama pretended that he didn't know and lied for two weeks in order to hide his incompetence and now he is caught. This one is NOT going to be swept under the rug.

Accounts from Libyan and U.S. officials, and from locals who watched what began as a protest on Tuesday against a crudely made American film that insults the Prophet Mohammad spiral into violence and a military-style assault on U.S. troops, point to a series of unfortunate choices amid the confusion and fear.

The actions of Libyan former rebel fighters assigned to help guard the lightly fortified compound may also face scrutiny. Libyan officers suggested that sympathy for the popular anger at the slight to their religion, as well as simple fear under heavy fire, meant the guards may have done little to defend the walls.

Much remains unknown, notably the extent to which armed militants may have prepared in advance for an attack as opposed to merely profiting from the opportunity of an angry crowd spinning out of control in a country where guns are everywhere.

However, this much is clear: a crowd gathered at dusk, about 7 p.m. (1700 GMT), chanting slogans against the film and angry at Washington's failure to act against its promoters. At some point, shooting began, with some in the crowd thinking they were under fire from the consulate. Around 10 p.m., rioters surged into the compound, bullets and grenades flew, and fires started.

Among the assailants, Libyans identified units of a heavily armed local Islamist group, Ansar al-Sharia, which sympathizes with al Qaeda and derides Libya's U.S.-backed bid for democracy.

Eventually, some three dozen Americans drove off to a safe house, knowing one diplomat was dead and Ambassador Christopher Stevens missing. When an eight-man rescue team flew in from Tripoli, they and their Libyan escorts were pinned down with the survivors by another attack in which two more Americans died.

Meanwhile, Stevens, 52, had been found by local people and taken, unrecognized, to a hospital, around 1 a.m. A doctor failed to revive him and pronounced him dead of smoke inhalation.

Around dawn, at 7 a.m., the beleaguered American survivors, with their battered military rescue party, were finally escorted back to Benghazi airport by a convoy of Libyan militia fighters in dozens of vehicles, to be flown to Tripoli and safety.

SEPT. 11

The fact that the attack took place on the 11th anniversary of al Qaeda's September 11 attacks on the United States, and that the ambassador, normally based in the capital Tripoli, was present in person, has prompted speculation that it may have be elaborately planned in advance by the likes of Ansar al-Sharia.

Three months ago to the day, the British ambassador survived a rocket attack as his convoy approached London's Benghazi consulate and there has been other violence against foreigners, mostly blamed on anti-Western Islamists, with some possible involvement by angry loyalists of the late Muammar Gaddafi.

Diplomats say foreign staffing in Benghazi has generally been kept low to reduce the security risks. But the city is home to key oil installations, Libya's economic mainstay, and a local source said Stevens had been expected at meetings with state oil executives on Wednesday, explaining at least part of his visit.

Some of those who took part in the initial demonstration in Benghazi insisted it was a spontaneous, unplanned public protest which had begun relatively peacefully. Anger over the film also saw an unruly protest at the U.S. embassy across the Egyptian border in Cairo on Tuesday evening, with protesters scaling the walls.

Local journalists also saw an eclectic gathering of people infuriated by religious sentiment but few of them bearing arms and most not appearing affiliated with hardline Islamist groups.

"When we had heard that there was a film that was insulting to the Prophet, we, as members of the public, and not as militia brigades, we came to the consulate here to protest and hold a small demonstration," said a 17-year-old student named Hamam, who spoke to Reuters at the devastated compound on Wednesday.

By his account, while some demonstrators fired rifles in the air - a far from uncommon sight in postwar Libya - a rumor spread that a protester had been wounded by firing from inside the consulate and Hamam and many others went off to retrieve guns which, like many Libyans, they keep at home for security.

"So we started shooting at them," Hamam said. "And then some other people also threw homemade bombs over the fences and started fires in the buildings. There was some Libyan security for the embassy, but when the bombs went off they ran off."

GUARDS SYMPATHETIC

Abdel-Salam al-Bargathi, who runs the security operations of the former rebel February 17 Brigade, which effectively forms the police force for Benghazi while the new authorities work to establish new institutions, said he heard explosions start around 8:30 p.m. from his headquarters a mile or so away.

"There was a lot of chaos and confusion when the clashes began," he said. By 9 p.m., he was receiving calls from his units at the scene that rocket-propelled grenades were being fired at the consulate. A power cut had plunged the area into darkness.

"People started running into each other and nobody knew who was who," Bargathi told Reuters, saying that around this time he began ordering preparations to be made for an evacuation.

Tellingly, he and another senior officer, Wissam Buhmeid, the commander of the pro-government local defense force, the Libya's Shield Brigade, stressed that the Libyan guards on the consulate - estimated by Bargathi at up to 40 or more - may have felt little will to defend the compound from what they, and many other Libyans, judged to be justified religious indignation.

"I first of all place the blame on the United States itself for allowing such a movie to be produced. This was the product of the anger of Muslims," Buhmeid said, noting also that the guards had only light weapons in the face of rockets.

"I saw utter chaos. The power went out and it was completely dark," he said. "There were definitely people from the security forces who let the attack happen because they were themselves offended by the film; they would absolutely put their loyalty to the Prophet over the consulate. The deaths and injuries and attacks are all nothing compared to insulting the Prophet."

Bargathi, of the police command, said the killings had taken the protest too far, but said: "What we saw was a very natural reaction to the insult to the Prophet. We condemn the deaths but the insult to the Prophet made people very angry."

Ali Fetori, 59, an accountant who lives near the embassy, said: "The security people ... just all ran away and the people in charge were the young men with guns and bombs."

AMBASSADOR KILLED

U.S. officials said the consulate's perimeter was breached 15 minutes after the crowd tried to storm in at around 10 p.m. The main villa was set on fire, with three Americans inside - the ambassador, IT specialist Sean Smith and a security officer.

"They became separated from each other due to the heavy dark smoke while they were trying to evacuate the burning building," one senior official said. The security officer made it outside.

"They found Sean. He was already dead. And they pulled him from the building. They were unable, however, to locate Chris, before they were driven from the building, due to the heavy fire and smoke and the continuing small arms fire."

Ali Khamis, a gardener, said he was in his room at the consulate when the attack happened. "They came into the compound, through all the gates. They were shouting 'Allahu akbar' and they were shooting in the air when they came in," he said.

Hamam, the young protester, said he had seen an American "totally covered in soot and black" lying apparently dead in the compound. Some people he said were chanting, "Allahu akbar (God is great), We are victorious over the infidels."

Photographs published on the Internet appeared to show Stevens unconscious and begrimed, being held by local men.

Ziad Abu Zaid, who was the duty doctor in the emergency room at Benghazi Medical Centre, said local civilians had brought in a man they said was American around 1 a.m. "He came in a state of cardiac arrest," Abu Zaid said. "I performed CPR for 45 minutes, but he died of asphyxiation due to smoke inhalation."

Only when someone told him the patient had come from the consulate did he make out Stevens's locally well-known features beneath the smoke and grime that obscured his face, he said.

SAFE HOUSE SIEGE

Libyan officials said the surviving Americans withdrew to a safe house. It would be normal security procedure in countries like Libya for international personnel to have a secure, secret location prepared for just such an eventuality.

Captain Fathi al-Obeidi, commander of a special operations force for the February 17 Brigade, told Reuters that he took a call about 1:30 a.m. from Tripoli telling him that a helicopter was on its way from the capital's Mitiga airport with a rescue squad of eight U.S. troops - he described them as marines.

After he met them at Benghazi airport with a convoy of 10 vehicles, mostly pickup trucks, one mounted with an anti-aircraft cannon, the U.S. force directed Obeidi and his men to the GPS coordinates of a farmhouse to find the survivors there.

Here, two more things went wrong. First, Obeidi found four times as many Americans at the single-storey, fortified house as he had been told expect - 37, not just 10. So he did not have enough transport. Then, the villa came under massive attack.

This time, there was little doubt in the minds of Libyans who experienced it that this was a well-organized assault by men who had mastered the complexities of military mortar fire.

"This attack was planned," Obeid said. "The accuracy with which the mortars hit us was too good for any ordinary revolutionaries."

While some Libyan officials suggested that former soldiers from Gaddafi's army may have been involved in Benghazi, some of the Islamist fighters also have substantial military experience from years spent fighting with the Taliban in Afghanistan.

Though Libya's deputy interior minister described the locating of the safe house as a "critical security breach," the attack may not have been planned for long in advance. The assailants would have had some hours to follow the fleeing Americans and set up an ambush after the consulate attack.

"It began to rain down on us," Obeidi said just as the rescue force was preparing to leave. "About six mortars fell directly on the path to the villa," he said. One American fell wounded by him. A mortar struck the building itself, throwing from the roof another American posted there onto the men below.

"I was being bombarded by calls from all over the country by Libyan government officials who wanted me to hurry and get them out," he said. "But ... I needed more men and more cars."

Two Americans, including one of the eight security personnel sent from Tripoli, were killed and several wounded.

Finally, dozens more vehicles from the Libyan security forces arrived, the attackers melted away and, as the sun came up over the desert, they reached Benghazi airport, from where the surviving Americans and the bodies were flown out.

As I've said before: WHO CARES? Benghazi is a non-issue.

WRONG! Benghazi is an issue, because Obama lied about it.

There were several things Obama could have done to prevent or mitigate what happened.

1. He could have beefed up security - instead he actually cut back security for the ambassador.

2. He could have evacuated the ambassador since he did not wand to upgrade security.

3. He could have sent in a rescue team or air support to break up the attack - he didn't, even though there was a drone in the area watching tha attack.

FAILURE to protect our embassy in Libya resulting in the deaths of four Americans, and the cover-up afterward.

Scarce resources due to security cutbacks in State Dept 2012 requested budget of $300 million by Congress forced security cutbacks in most of our 279 consulates, embassies, and trade missions around the world.

Any one of these locations could have been attacked. That budget cutbacks made in security for our brave diplomats shows how STUPID the cost-cutting of Republican House can be. These House Republicans should bear much of the blame for deaths in Benghazi consulate where any improvements in security became impossible because of these budget cutters.

You choose to blame the administrator who allocated the cutbacks in security around the world. Many consulates and embassies receive threats and over 30 have been attacked in past 40 years.

You should blame the cost-cutters here. Government serves many useful purposes, but Republicans like to pretend cutting costs is easy. Sometimes, as in the case of Benghazi, cost-cutting results in Americans dying.

The Benghazi issue is very important because OBAMA LIED... and he REPEATED THE LIE many times ! Only the Obama leg-humpers wish to make it a non-issue. Of course, the President invoking "executive privilege" to quash the investigation into the "Fast and Furious" program was merely a predecessor COVERUP !

Obama also lied when he says he kept faith with the service members. He signed the bills that forced the military to cut back man power. Good enlisted servicemen and women in middle ranks were given their pink slips. People with bright futures in the military. Honest hard working Americans. They were forced to join the ranks of the unemployed. How is that good for the economy? Veterans have the highest unemployment rate of any minority in the United States.

Rather than look at how much money is spent on the DOD take a look at how the money is spent. Currently Colt Firearms holds the contract to provide the general issue M-16 and M-4 rifles to the troops. Colt Corporate HQ has been with Walther in Germany for some years now. The tax money we spend on those rifles profits the economy of Germany. The general issue sidearm is a rather unreliable Beretta model 92 9mm. Beretta is a Italian company. More tax dollars leaving the U.S. Should the weapons the troops are issued not be made by an American company based in the U.S. ? At least that way money spent to arm the troops is cycled back into the U.S. economy rather than a foreign economy. This is just one example.

In the end one must give the job to the candidate who possesses the highest degree of experience and qualification to do the job you want done. This is the way that anyone should get a job. Obama has simply not accomplished what he said he would do. He made promises that he knew could not be kept just to win a nearly fixed election.

It is my personal disposition that Obama is not qualified to do the job he was hired for. He got the job mostly to spite the GOP as so many were angry with the Republican party, most any Dem would have won.

Romney has run a business. He has balanced budgets in the past. He has worked across party lines to get things done even if he did have to give a little (that is how negotiating is done). He is simply more qualified to work on the problems currently facing this great nation and her great people.

I know I will not change the minds of the party hardliners among you but I urge you to take a close look at the qualifications and accomplishments of the candidates applying for the job in question. Stop listening to the attack adds and look at what matters. Obama attacks but has little to no record to run on. Romney has a record of accomplishments that back up his claim that he is qualified to handle the job.

President George Bush introduced the fiscal 2009 budget in February of 2008 which was passed long before Obama so much as won the election.

President Obama presented the FY2010 budget this in Feb 2009, the FY11 budget in Feb 2010 and the FY12 budget in Feb 2011.
