DELRAY BEACH, Fla. -- A day after the two presidential candidates sparred in their final, foreign policy-focused debate, President Barack Obama criticized Republican nominee Mitt Romney’s rhetoric on the topic as "wrong and reckless."
President Obama voiced his concerns over Governor Romney's foreign policy doctrine at a campaign event in Delray Beach, Fla., saying his opponent is "all over the map."
The president renewed his ridicule of Romney from throughout the candidates' final meeting Monday evening in Boca Raton, Fla. before a crowd of 11,000.

"In a world of new threats and profound challenges, America needs leadership that is strong and is steady. Gov. Romney’s foreign policy has been wrong and reckless. Last night, he was all over the map," said a grinning Obama. "Did you notice that?"
The president tried to paint Romney as inconsistent start-to-finish at the debate, on issues from pursuing Osama bin Laden to rescuing the auto industry. To drive the point home, Obama revived his mocking term, "Romnesia."
A day after the last presidential debate, President Obama campaigned in Delray Beach, Fla., telling supporters that Governor Romney had a 'severe outbreak' of 'Romnesia' Monday night. The president was referring to his opponent's changing stance on Iraq and the auto industry.
"We’ve come up with a name for this condition. It’s called Romnesia," Obama said. The president joked a "severe case" had broken out on Monday -- "maybe stage three."
Slideshow: On the campaign trail
Even as he highlighted what he said were Romney’s shortcomings in Tuesdays’ debate, Obama shifted to tout his own plans for a second term, brandishing a 20-page pamphlet passed out by his campaign to reporters and supporters earlier in the day. The pamphlet -- which Republicans argued was just a rehash of Obama's old policies -- summarizes the positions Obama talks about on the campaign trail and that are found on his campaign website.
"I've laid out a plan for jobs and middle class security. And unlike Mitt Romney I’m actually proud to talk about what's in it," Obama said as he held up the booklet, entitled "A New Economic Patriotism."
Even while he spent considerable time talking about his new booklet, which covers mostly domestic issues like manufacturing jobs, small businesses and entitlements, Obama did return to foreign policy by the end of his speech, pillorying Romney for not mentioning American veterans during the debate.
President Obama voiced his concerns over Governor Romney's foreign policy doctrine at a campaign event in Delray Beach, Fla., saying his opponent is "all over the map."
“In the same way that Gov. Romney didn’t mention the Afghan war or our troops in his convention speech Gov. Romney didn’t mention our veterans last night. He didn’t say a word about them,” he said.
“He may written off half the country as victims behind closed doors, but the men and women and their families who have served this country so bravely, they deserve better from someone who is applying to be commander in chief,” he said.
Obama also reprised a line he used last night to criticize Romney’s proposals, on foreign policy and other issues, as outdated.
“His foreign policy is from the 1980s, his social policy is from the 1950s and his economic policies are from the 1920s," he said.
Obama will travel next to Ohio, where he'll hold a rare joint rally with Vice President Joe Biden this afternoon.

When you don't have a record to run on attack your opponent.
"Attacking me is not an Agenda" - Mitt Romney
But hell, if it's all ya got, I guess you have to give it a shot.
The American public won't be fooled again Mr. President.
I was surprised at the lack of "big ideas" from Obama, given all of the detailed promises he offered (and failed to achieve) last time around. I guess he learned his lesson!
Romney/Ryan 2012 - A New Hope
Mitt ridiculed himself. The man is more than etch a sketch. He's a blank canvas waiting upon neo cons, Grover Norquist, WS, Koch brothers and the rest nuts to paint or draw on with impunity. He's a vessel they see to channel their craziness.
We want a President who says what he actually believes, and is consistent about what and who and what he stands for. Romney let the cat out of the bag in his 47% speech.
Romney's jobs plan doesn't create jobs, his deficit plan doesn't reduce the deficit - it adds $trillions to the deficit.
You can't have a President who says one thing four weeks ago, or four days ago and a different thing today. That is not leadership you can trust.
You can't have confidence in someone who does and says anything for political expedience.
We know what President Obama stands for - and he has successfully fought the odds with zero help from GOP congressionals, at their own admission.
Stock market has doubled, 5.2 million jobs created, small business taxes cut 18 times, middle class taxes cut by $3600 under President Obama. Every dime returned from the banks, military folks not barred from service because of who they love... the list is long.
This President deserves re-election and no doubts about it.
romney even looked..
presidential..
Yep - cause that is what the American people, and indeed the world expect out of a sitting president. Ridicule.
Oh my, just how bad are these next two weeks going to get for poor O?
He dies have the three B's though = Big Bird, binders, and bayonets.
Although he did seem to leave out Bengahzi.
But I loved, loved, loved how is only response about creating jobs is to talk up hiring more teachers.
Funny thing is - he is all about manufacturing jobs. Dudes on an assembly line don't really need MBAs.
But then again, it is O, and he is totally clueless about the economy and jobs.
Bottom line: Mitt Romney is a liar and a fraud extraordinaire.
He got where he is now in the election, because of Citizens' United and the secrecy it provides to billionaires and transnationals who want to install Romney/Norquist so he can sign off on their agenda.
Under Romney's tax plan, donor Sheldon Adelson will receive $2.3 Billion, at a cost of raising middle class taxes by $2,000.
Romney wearing heavy make-up and dyeing his hair to "look presidential", will not gloss over the sordid facts.
He is a say-anything, do-anything 0.01%-er, who is divorced from the realities of 30,000,000 Americans.
"We’ve come up with a name for this condition. It’s called Romnesia," Obama said. The president joked a "severe case" had broken out on Monday -- "maybe stage three."

What a pathetic excuse for a man. We have a name-calling, middle school 13 year old little boy who thinks insulting taunts hurled at his opponent is "Presidential".
It's hard to believe someone this immature is trusted with the authority to order the launch of nuclear weapons.
It would be time to exercise clause 4. of the 25th Amendment, except that would put an equally unstable moron in charge: "Gaffe" Biden.
America is screwed.
25th Amendment:
4. Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.
Thereafter, when the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that no inability exists, he shall resume the powers and duties of his office unless the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive department or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit within four days to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office. Thereupon Congress shall decide the issue, assembling within forty eight hours for that purpose if not in session. If the Congress, within twenty one days after receipt of the latter written declaration, or, if Congress is not in session, within twenty one days after Congress is required to assemble, determines by two thirds vote of both Houses that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall continue to discharge the same as Acting President; otherwise, the President shall resume the powers and duties of his office.
SPANKY - But then again, it is O, and he is totally clueless about the economy and jobs.
That's why he has created more jobs in 3yrs and 10months than 8yrs of Bush and Mitt embracing his foreign policies.
Stocks are seeing the biggest growth under his stewardship.
It's either your tone-deaf or simply a RWNJ hand out reader. How about asking why did Mitt run from debating Bengahzi?
But you've been fooled apparently. Just because Romney tells you something doesn't mean it's true. Romney basically agreed with everything Obama said yesterday, and could barely name any occasions when he would have acted differently over the last four years - you call that leadership?
"Although he did seem to leave out Bengahzi."
Funny, but he wasn't the only one. Schieffer served Romney a nice fat one on that - right out of the gate and right over the plate - and Romney didn't even take a cut at it. I wonder why?
Last night Mitt Romney did everything but bow, tug his forelock, and say "Yes sir, Mr. President - whatever you say, sir!"
If he isn't tough enough to stand up to his fellow American that he supposedly has strong differences of opinion with, how can he possibly be strong enough to stand up to the REAL bad guys around the world?
Commander in Chief? The Romney we saw last night couldn't command a kindergarten class. Unless, of course, he had a couple more 1916 Navy warships......
WCA, Joe - you all notice how the more thoughtful and deep thinking libbies have all seemed to disappeared?
No more Anna Molley, TEK, IRA. Instead we get Feisty, Seeking Sanity and the rest, who couldn't debate a point to save their lives.
Call people names and make fun of the way they look? They are all over it.
I guess the smarter libbies all know what's coming and can't take it anymore.
Such a shame.
Oh Dear!
The air is thick with IRONY today compliments of the Idiot from Albany! lmao
Finally found a mirror which allowed your reflection... eh Joey?
"Funny thing is - he is all about manufacturing jobs. Dudes on an assembly line don't really need MBAs".
I Wonder how long it would take you to learn GD&T. CAD Modeling, or utilize programs like Calypso or PC Demis to program a CMM, or CNC machine. These are skills required in the manufacturing sector. But then again Spanky all you do is push paper and do your boiler plate lease thingy. YUP we need more MBA's and guys like Mitt who are nothing more than traders that move paper from one pile to another. That is why America is importing engineers thru the H1B program because we can't find them here. Yeah Spanky, more lawyers, MBA's, stockbrokers, and hedge fund managers like MItt Romney and Paul Ryan. That's what America needs. I get it now.
White Collar Auto
Stiff Collar did you read the above topic? President Obama said:
His foreign policy is from the 1980s, his social policy is from the 1950s and his economic policies are from the 1920s," he said.
See? MYTH has no record to run on.
Speaking of which what President Obama said is taken out the unrepentant bigots @ FUX NOOSE.
Here is what our President said in the proper context:
If you don't have a record to run on, then you paint your opponent as someone people should run from. You make a big election about small things.
And you know what? It's worked before, because it feeds into the cynicism we all have about government. When Washington doesn't work, all its promises seem empty. If your hopes have been dashed again and again, then it's best to stop hoping and settle for what you already know.
I get it. I realize that I am not the likeliest candidate for this office. I don't fit the typical pedigree, and I haven't spent my career in the halls of Washington.
But I stand before you tonight because all across America something is stirring. What the naysayers don't understand is that this election has never been about me; it's about you.
It's about you.
And I've seen it in this campaign, in the young people who voted for the first time and the young at heart, those who got involved again after a very long time; in the Republicans who never thought they'd pick up a Democratic ballot, but did.
I've seen it -- I've seen it in the workers who would rather cut their hours back a day, even though they can't afford it, than see their friends lose their jobs; in the soldiers who re-enlist after losing a limb; in the good neighbors who take a stranger in when a hurricane strikes and the floodwaters rise.
You know, this country of ours has more wealth than any nation, but that's not what makes us rich. We have the most powerful military on Earth, but that's not what makes us strong. Our universities and our culture are the envy of the world, but that's not what keeps the world coming to our shores.
Instead, it is that American spirit, that American promise, that pushes us forward even when the path is uncertain; that binds us together in spite of our differences; that makes us fix our eye not on what is seen, but what is unseen, that better place around the bend. That promise is our greatest inheritance. It's a promise I make to my daughters when I tuck them in at night and a promise that you make to yours, a promise that has led immigrants to cross oceans and pioneers to travel west, a promise that led workers to picket lines and women to reach for the ballot.
And it is that promise that, 45 years ago today, brought Americans from every corner of this land to stand together on a Mall in Washington, before Lincoln's Memorial, and hear a young preacher from Georgia speak of his dream.
The men and women who gathered there could've heard many things. They could've heard words of anger and discord. They could've been told to succumb to the fear and frustrations of so many dreams deferred.
But what the people heard instead -- people of every creed and color, from every walk of life -- is that, in America, our destiny is inextricably linked, that together our dreams can be one.
"We cannot walk alone," the preacher cried. "And as we walk, we must make the pledge that we shall always march ahead. We cannot turn back."
America, we cannot turn back... not with so much work to be done; not with so many children to educate, and so many veterans to care for; not with an economy to fix, and cities to rebuild, and farms to save; not with so many families to protect and so many lives to mend. America, we cannot turn back. We cannot walk alone.
At this moment, in this election, we must pledge once more to march into the future. Let us keep that promise, that American promise, and in the words of scripture hold firmly, without wavering, to the hope that we confess.
Thank you. God bless you. And God bless the United States of America

The chap they call a robotic, tin-man, cannot, I repeat, "cannot" connect with the voters. President Obama is terrific with the voters and their families.
MYTH's ideologies are in another century. No wonder he is so mechanical!!! Furthermore, he cares little about people.

Obama/Biden 2012
Just24 - O does not create jobs. Or do you still not understand that?
Also What O did do was adopt in whole Bush's policies - on war, rendition, the Patriot Act, Gitmo, and of course on tax rates.
He has also presided over our credit downgrade, GDP numbers that continue to decelerate, and debt that is out of control.
But, yeah other than that O' is aces. WHich is why all he ever talks about is all of his accomplishments. That is why he has practically ignored Romney this whole time.
All about his record, right?
Albany Joe, why do you think the modern day democrat party is ruled by uncouth barbarians. Im mean look, FR has its representation with Feisty and NDD and BayLIE and Seeking. I mean the left supports and owns Occupy. What a horde of miscreants they are. and to top it off, their treasonous mascot is Guy Fawkes.
SPanky, our blue friends think its ok if O does it, bad when Bush did it. My opinion is its bad when both did/ do it.
Ooh Rah Torp but tell me my green buddy you oppose more lawyers yet the sitting Pres is one and in fact the last democrat Pres prior to O was a lawyer, Reid's a lawyer and so was the current SOS. So no more lawyers right?
Seems Obama is not immune from memory loss:
Of course he can deny that he was for keeping troops there and he didn't know that the Pentagon were in negotiations.
A challenger needs to prove he's smarter, stronger, better informed, and gifted than the incumbant. Mitt Romney failed in that regard. President Obama prevailed. He had the facts, and conveyed authority through his demeanor and insight.
If a show is looking for someone polished and dignified to "play" a president on TV, however, then Mitt's their man.
I agree--Romney is a pathetic excuse for a man.
You can't deny Romney's amnesia, can you, Albany Joe? You won't even try. Do you know what he stands for? If he wins, you might be in for a wicked surprise. Be careful what you wish for. . . .
Still can't spell, can you, Spanky? Anna Molly is around, as are most of the "libbie" crowd. But I'm glad to see you haven't been around much.

Obama/Biden 2012
Feisty, Bev and the rest of my libbie friends - President Obama showed his leadership last night with resounding success. He answered every question decisively and with actual facts.
I was not suprised when Romney, when asked about his economic plan, told Shiffer he could go to his website - it's spelled out there. That is his stock answer and it becomes more clear every time he says it that he has no idea what the plan says - so he can't explain it and definitely can't take questions about the plan.
President Obama KNOWS foreign policy and it shows. Romney again did a 180 on his policy recommendations and now basically agrees with EVERYTHING he disagreed with before. And, the right wingers on this site have NO problem with the fact their candidate cannot take a firm stand on ANYTHING!
There is a serious problem with any party that runs a candidate like Romney. They clearly need to actually develop a core set of values - not the erratic mess the Tea Party has handed them - and rebuild. Otherwise, the Republican party will not be around in 10 years.
Obama/Biden 2012 for leadership
Well CA like any true blue red, you deflect and reframe. Sorry dude but like your candidate you and the Spankster refuse to put forth any plan that would solve the problems created by both parties for the last 10 years.
This country is begging for engineers and yet your candidate wants to gut education and limit funding to community colleges Go figure.
SPANKY
I'll try to get across to you.
What ever happens under Obama's presidency or any president, in the economy either good or bad is his.
1.Obama took Bush muddled policies and made them better.
2.The economy is growing private jobs again. 5 million plus created so far.
3. GDP? What do you expect after the turmoil we just went through as a result of bad policies of the past and EU drag on the world economy. GDP slowing down is not just the US but world over. Even at that, we're still in better shape than most countries.
Gitmo? How does that affect our immediate need? Most Americans don't really care. They don't even know what Gitimo is. How many will vote because of Gitimo......we'll wait and see.
This is a President that have delivered even when faced by a do nothing congress.
'you still cant spell spanky nyuck nyuck nyuck' in their pompous self serving tone. Thats all you have Jack? of course it is.
or Torp like any true blue you spin like a top. so see what we have here is a failure to communicate
Just left the above mentioned rally.
Can tell you the Dems are FIRED UP!!!!
Seating for 9000 so 2000 stood in Florida sunshine for well over three hours.
Amy, Obama has had over three years experience now (he also had none going into the WH in 2009) and damned well better know more than a challenger. If the no experience thing is such a big deal, how in the hell in your right mind have voted Obama in? Then answer is simple, no one really gave a damn how that debate came out. Foreign policy is NOT big on anyone's "reasons to vote" list. It matters not that Obama may or may not have won last night's debate. NO ONE CARES on this subject as far as a top ten.
The tactical error of the challenger's campaign was to allow the incumbent to shift the focus of the race from a referendum on the President (Are you better off etc..) to a "choice" between two competing ideologies.
The tactical error of the incumbent's campaign was to let the challenger back into the race with an historically dismal performance in their first debate.
Now they are relatively even in popularity, unpopularity and stature as the election rolls into the final 3 weeks. The cheerleading, venting of spleen and character assassination that passes for political discourse here will continue unabated.
I am uninspired by the incumbent and unimpressed with the challenger. I live in a state (NY) that is so solidly in one column (Blue) that the senate race didn't merit a single opinion poll, as the challenger's name is all but unknown and will be learned by most New Yorkers when read on the ballot, so the vote for President is academic.
I could vote for Gary Johnson, Lyndon Johnson, Howard Johnson, or Magic Johnson for President, and it would not affect the outcome.
After 3 debates and hundreds of hours of consuming political news and discussions with friends. acquaintances, and interested strangers, I have come to a conclusion.
I can support NOBODY. So, I am officially endorsing NOBODY for President.
------------------------------------------------------
Reason #1
Nobody is respected by both parties...
Etch-a-sketchy and Romnesia, this is your argument Mr. President?
Its one thing for your advocates to use these silly terms but its beneath your position and quite petty to use them as the Commander in Chief.
It also smells of desperation...
Romnesia, is the cure for Obama-paratenesis.
It would be one thing if what Obama says about Romney were in any way shape or form somewhat similar to the image that Romney portrays.
But so far nothing of what Obama-Shama-Lama-Ding-Dong says about Romney is either true, or even remotely resembles what Mitt is all about.
That's why its so laughable to read about Obama calling him "Romnesia" and claiming that he was all over the place.
Because, he is not all over the place, and he remembers what he said, and when he said it.
It's Obama who can't remember that he blamed the attack on our consulate in Benghazi, on a spontaneous reaction to the release of an anti islamic video, and that he only referred to random/generic "acts of terror" in his Rose Garden speech.
Obama is the liar. Obama is the one who's all over the place.
We need to get him out of the White House and get solid leadership from someone who knows how to kick start a business.
Time to put America back to work. Time to fix the economy. Time to elect Mitt Romney.
DEMOCRATS FOR ROMNEY!!!!!
Heya, Mr. Obama: Gov. Romney IS NOT THE PRESIDENT....it is YOU.
Therefore, the foreign policy you and your administration has is a TOTAL FAILURE.
Another series of comments which are TOTALLY Un-Presidential.
Actually CA what Strother Martin said (from Cool Hand Luke) was: "What we have here is failure to communicate." NOT "what we have here is A failure to communicate."
Yup...and Mitt deserves it.
Mitt is the only canidate in history to just straight up lie through the entire debates.
Hell, he just makes sh1t up as he goes along, sad...
There has never been a President as petty and childish as our current one. This is not a elementary school name calling match Mr. presdient, its a Presidential election, some maturity would be appreciated.
It only shows how desperate he has become. He has no record to run on so he resorts to name calling.
I keep hearing people like Spanky and others saying Government can not create jobs. That is a lie and Romney knows its a lie. When the Government starts cutting out the banks and loan money to small business directly, like student loans it will create jobs. Where does Mitten think people can get investment money. Bain don't loan money to start ups. Banks don't loan money to small business. The only way money gets to small business is Via SBA. Get the banks out of the way. Hell its government money anyway, so why have the banks as a middle man and save all that money to give to other small businesses. We need to take chances in this country again. We wouldn't have many of the things we have today if not for someone taking a chance. Why do you think Romney wants to put 5 trillion into defense? Yes to give huge contracts to his rich friends. Its not to help the Military. Its like the tank deal. We have so many tanks setting in fields rusting away. Something like 10,000 of them. We need to stop building tanks, we don't need anymore. But that money into Ships if that's what we need. If we do need more ships. But Congress put a stop to that. Congress knows what the Military needs more then they do. This company that builds the Tanks paid someone off and we are still building tanks that we don't need. And Romney said Government can't create jobs.
Obama showed himself to be small, petty, a literal embarrassment to the nation as a sitting President, unable to handle pressure when called upon to explain himself for the disasters He has created. He looked like a sullen, jealous, eighth grader at the local dance who just saw the girlfriend He has taken for granted and abused,(the American People), leave the dance with the nice guy, who is everything he is not, and all he can do is shout out insults and cat calls, because he knows he really doesn't have anything of substance to offer, to try to change Her mind.
thanks for correction Torp but I think the message should have been well received. semantics my friend
Amazing! Obama was beyond horrible in his first debate and MSNBC, Democrats in general and everyone on that side collectively (to a man, to a women, to a pundit) said so and called him out (I wrote and thereafter, several times on line that he looked like he was trying to loose the election)!
How is it then that when the President has 2 out of 3 wins (the last 2 debates) the far right can invent such obvious and laughable fictions? Honestly, if Mitt had jumped up on the top of the table in the last debate and took a proverbial bowel movement he would/was applauded by FOX and these "I hate Obama more then I hate Mitt" types for being manly assertive, in your face decisive, take no prisoners all while simultaneously being a really nice guy and Presidential... but somehow (to the point of ad nauseum) Obama was just an "angry Black Man! I'm sorry but you guys can never own it because even though you can dish it out... it appears YOU CAN NEVER TAKE IT! By the way for those who did not watch the last debate... Obama decidedly won and in the less then nuanced vernacular of boxing, "it was a knock out with Mitt going down for the count". Proceed Mr. Romney...
Obama still attacking Romney. President Obama enough already. tell Us WE THE PEOPLE your future plan for this NATION Because your last four years has-been a disaster and there's no one to blame but yourself. convince me on why I should vote for you. So far you have not made your case with me. Probably you made your case with the close minded 47% but you need to do better than that.
Just cast my vote last night on my mail-in ballot for OBAMA/ BIDEN!!!! I as well as the other former Republicans I know choose country over party, choose intelligence over ignorance and choose a President who is willing to make a stand, someone who is willing to make the hard choices and stand by them even if it means losing the election!
Willard has stood for NOTHING!!!! he changes his position depending on the crowd that day, he hasn't the predisposition to believe in something so strongly that he would jeopardize his chance of being elected and that is a trait that we can ill afford!
If Willard agrees with everything that Obama has done and the only thing that he has to offer is this conjecture of being able to create 12 million new jobs without ever explaining how or for that matter where they would be located... then why change? why should we hand over the riens to an economy that is coming back, sustained jos growth and a renewed faith in America by other nations of the World to a guy who has YET to be honest, or open with the American People...Why?... because he's "White"?????????????????????????LOL
Those on the right claim to have cornered the market on "Patriotism" - keep telling yourselves that when you cast your vote for Willard - a guy who belives in nothing...NOT EVEN YOU!!!!
The National Debt is an important liability that makes us less safe.
Mitt's solution is to spend $2,000,000,000,000 that the Pentagon hasn't asked for to protect us!
We already spend more on our military than the next 13 countries COMBINED! Stick to raiding business' Mitt...
i agree with your sentiment, living in another blue state (MA).
i am an independent who tends to lean liberal. and as such i just don't understand how people on both sides can throw away facts and argue as if they are reading from an unbiased source.
to dems and repubs. independents who pay attention to what's going on notice when facts are omitted. just sayin.....
Just,
The whole "5 million jobs created" has been thoroughly debunked as a falsehood.
He has presided over a net of 300,000 jobs since taking office. From that same article:
According to a study released last week by the liberal-leaning National Employment Law Project, low-wage fields such as retail sales and food service are adding jobs nearly three times as fast as higher-paid occupations."
"The figure of 4.5 million jobs is accurate if you look at the most favorable period and category for the administration. But overall, there are still fewer people working now than when Obama took office at the height of the recession".
All in all, not exactly instilling a great amount of confidence. His "plan" for getting veterans jobs was lacking. He spoke of needed to get them treatment for PTSD. Why hasn't there been a greater push sooner? That's a failure of Bush as well as Obama. I am not hearing any real plans for getting the economy up and running from Obama, and he has been 4 years in. Median income has dropped. Goods and services are going up. He may have the edge in foreign policy, as anyone in the presidency gains, but I care more about what's going on at home first. Obama hasn't done enough to convince me he's appreciably better than Romney.
Since you can't properly paste links here it seems, this article was found on cnn.com. Google "Fact check, Obama, 5 million jobs created". I didn't want to go to a site that leaned left or right.
American Socialist please list his lies and the proof that they are lies!
Oh and just because Fiesty said it doesn't mean it's true. So tell me what did he lie about last night?
Obama simply has nothing else left but ridicule, attacks, and pettiness. The past four years have been an endless parade of blame and excuses for one Obama failure after another, so he has no record to run on. Obama also has no plan for the next four years, or if he does he certainly isn't talking about it on the campaign trail. This is an embarrassing campaign for an incumbent president, and a new low. Obama might want to consider taking some of the 15 million he borrowed for his campaign last week and start buying stocks, as a market tumble couldn't be coming at a worse time for our community organizer.

Romney was "all over the map"? Obama was never even on it !!!
I'm sorry to say this but Romney looked like a Moron at the debate, We should all feel sorry for this poor Clown, What a Loser, this lying jerk is a embarrassment to our Country !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are worried about spending $2 Trillion more in 10 years on national defense but not worried about ALREADY spending $6 Trillion beyond our means the last 4 years or spending an additional $4 Trillion beyond our means that Obama proposes for the next 4 years?
I don't agree with Romney $2 Trillion spending plan but its laughable to paint Romney's proposed spending on national defense as a liability on our safety while glossing over what President Obama has done the past 4 years. Not to mention hypocritical...
Pretty amazing...in Mr. Obama's little world of himself, every single thing he believes, says, or does is correct...and every single thing anyone and everyone else believes, says, or does is incorrect. Without any exceptions.
If the President has been correct on everything...why isn't this country doing better than it it ??? Of course...Mr. Obama would say that I'l wrong on that, too.
dangerfield - Would like to admit that you are one of those posters who are able to contribute without bias. I can not be that way when the choice in this election is so clear. So you have made up your mind then? I agree perhaps your vote may not mean as much in NY as in other states, but you are sitting out? Interesting.
I voted yesterday in my RED state in my RED county where Obama lost 30% to 70% in 08. I put my Obama 2012 sign in my front lawn in contrast to the Romney Ryan signs dotting the other lawns. Who knows if the placard will survive til election day, I joked with my wife that at least with the sign up I won't have as many Trick or Treater's, as GOP parents will ostracize our house again.
Obama will lose Texas this year. I think he will win the election but if through whatever means Romney wins, they will know that I voted my conscience and my preference. More importantly I will know that I voted for my candidate. Obama is an imperfect man, a right of center politician to this liberal, a person who wasn't always right IMO and who I have not always agreed with. However, I've judged that there is no comparison between a person who I know and understand and mostly agree with, than a chameleon, charade of a man who can't even say what he believes in.
Mitt Romney asked me for his vote last night but I was glad knowing that I had already voted for Obama that afternoon.

Boy...you sure put a lot of thought into that comment.
Don't you know... that's the way it's done in da hood! That and drive-by's!
First you talk sh!t and strut around a bunch... then you and your homies jump in the ride and spray some lead!
And Big O is using both to try to beat Romney... it's all he's got!
:o)
Obama is Romnesiaing his way to the unemployment line. Now I know why he wants those 99 weeks passed.
"Wrong and reckless"… here's what I see as "wrong and reckless"
"Nero fiddled while Rome burned"…
Well, let's see how Obama did while the US economy "crashed and burned"…
Twelve (12) days into the Presidency, Obama is nominated (and eventually won) the Nobel Peace Prize… 12 days!!! What in the world could he possibly have contributed to peace in only 12 days? During that time, the US economy was crashing and burning… And Obama was winning a prize that certainly was not based on a real contribution as he was only 12 days into his Presidency… And the "world tour of 2009" was ill-timed… With the US economy a shambles, the President should not have been jetting off to foreign lands on a "howdy!" tour… The focus needed to be at home and dealing with our domestic issues… But, then again, the world tour was so that Nobel price nomination would turn into a win! Screw the American people… it's all about ME!!!
While unemployment rates skyrocketed, Obama was focused on Obamacare… Totally ignoring the unemployment issue… This was a HUGE blunder!!! America needed to be working… And yet, Obama was so focused on healthcare that he could not see America crashing and burning around him…
While US real incomes were dropping, Obama (and the girls) were going on taxpayer-funded vacations to Martha's Vineyard, Spain, South Africa, etc. It didn't matter that unemployment was sky high and that most people could not afford to go on vacation and that people were struggling to keep a roof over their heads and put food on the table… Obama still jetted off on these expensive vacations… Camp David was not good enough… Yeah, let them eat cake!!!
When Obama finally did start focusing on jobs… what was the solution? An infrastructure bill to provide work on roads and bridges… Well, that's great if you happen to be 20-50 years of age and male… Let's face it, the majority of the workers that will benefit from this bill will be males from ages 20-50… So, what about the rest of us? As a 52-yo female, who was laid off (RIF of 200 employees) for the first time in my life, what are my options? Starve? Or go build roads and bridges? Hello… Mr. President lots of people lost their jobs… not just men aged 20-50… I have yet to hear anything about how you plan to grow jobs for people who are not likely to be able to build roads and bridges… At least Romney's plan looks to create jobs in small businesses, which may produce suitable jobs for females who are 50+…
A valid question: Mr. President , instead of attacking Romney, as the incumbent, why aren't you running on your record?
Answer: Because you can't!
While the US burned, you fiddled… You went on world tours and won a Nobel prize (2009)… You focused far too much on Obamacare (2010)… You/your family went on expensive vacations at taxpayers' expense… Martha's Vineyard (2009, 2010, 2011)… Spain (2010)… South Africa (2011)…
Of course that changed in 2012 (an election year)… Now, the economy took first priority… No expensive vacation in Martha's Vineyard… Sorry, Mr. President, you did too little, too late… Romney may not have all the answers, but the last four years shows me that you have none!!!
Just like the person who used the word Marxist to describe our elected President who has no idea what the word means I suggested getting book so they aren't so ignorant in the future. To Caesar I suggest that Romney get an Atlas to see that Iran has access to the sea. Da! Are all right wingers that ignorant? Please you don't have to mention the 57 statement slip of the tongue for the President years ago!
History repeats itself and hopefully this time we will learn.
History Shows that successful businessmen make the worst presidents. Herbert Hoover was successful with business and became president at a time when it looked like a businessman was needed to turn the economy around. He failed. Sound familiar? A vote for Romney will yield the same results, I have no doubts.
No he wasn't the only one, there are more. On the flip side Lincoln was a terrible businessman.
Spanky and et al, the credit downgrade was not Obamas fault. Standard & poor specifically said it was the teabaggers in congress unwillingness to deal with the debt ceiling and recalcitrance to even compromise. Quit reposting this Faux news talking point lie.
Romney has already suckered the tea party folk ... mainly because they were stuck with a bunch of fools to choose from ...
Now he expects the independents to forget all the things he said and positions he took to persuade those clowns ...
AND ... when he was called out on those bold faced lies and changes of positions... he said he was being attacked ... fools and fooled followers ..........
They gave us Bush ... tried to give us Palin ... and now this cracker!!!!
Our President Obama is not reliable. His plan for the next four years, to create jobs, should have been going on for the last 4 years. We only have the President's words 'I'll try harder next time if you re-elect me', no substance.
It has gotten so bad for the President that his campaign has been stooping to name calling. But how about the President's own record. The Obama administration's official document on the stimulus stated what the stimulus was designed to do. According to that document if the stimulus were passed unemployment would not go above 8%. That did not happen. The Obama administration created and used this document to sell the stimulus spending bill as the solution to the nations unemployment problems. The stimulus did not solve our unemployment problem. According to that official administration document if the stimulus did its job as it was designed then unemployment should now be well below 6%. Furthermore, if the stimulus bill had done its job then the President would not have to propose a second stimulus. The numbers in that document were not presented as speculation, they were presented as specification. This official Obama administration document said what the stimulus was going to do. Clearly what the Obama administration said would happen did not happen.
To me, reelecting the President means 4 more years of the same just hoping that things change. The President's new program to fix the the economy is just more of his same on going program to fix the economy. My biggest concern is all of the debt that has been building up. I estimate that an additional 5 trillion dollars of debt will end up costing the tax payers 50 trillion dollars to repay in 180 years. I agree with the President when he stated:
And the cost of our debt is one of the fastest growing expenses in the Federal budget. This rising debt is a hidden domestic enemy, robbing our cities and States of critical investments in infrastructure like bridges, ports, and levees; robbing our families and our children of critical investments in education and health care reform; robbing our seniors of the retirement and health security they have counted on.
Every dollar we pay in interest is a dollar that is not going to investment in America’s priorities. Instead, interest payments are a significant tax on all Americans–a debt tax that Washington doesn’t want to talk about. If Washington were serious about honest tax relief in this country, we would see an effort to reduce our national debt by returning to responsible fiscal policies.
Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that “the buck stops here. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.
~ Senator B. H. Obama, March 2006
Those who generalize President Obama's first term as having no record to run on, or a "total failure" clearly have no grasp of reality. You state opinion without fact. That is irrational. Almost as irrational as the empty suit who is running for the highest office in our country, if not the world.
I won't list what has been accomplished despite the steaming pile that was left by the previous administration (yes, you can blame them, no matter what you think) and the historic obstructionism that was shamelessly on display. It would only fall on deaf ears. But please try this: stop twisting the truth and reality and take a look at where we were and where we were heading. Stop and look at the indicators that show we are slowly recovering - perhaps even faster if Washington gets the message that gridlock is NOT acceptable.
In other words, open your eyes and actually base your opinion on facts and reality, not false sound bytes spewed by those who have spent 4 years hell bent on destroying and not building....
I have questions for Mitt Romney, show me the Golden plates. Will you use you're Mormon belief to judge others in the world, including Christians ?
backhouse...
We have about the same number of people working today...or a few less...than we did four years ago. If you and the President are laying claim to 5 million so-called "created" jobs...do you two buddies also lay claim to the 5 million jobs that were lost over the same last four years ???
How bout you take the same advice. and as for an Atlas, he shrugged and gave you Obama. APPLES!!
White Collar Auto,
"When you don't have a record to run on attack your opponent."
So are you trying to tell me that Romney has not been attacking Obama? You must have been walking around with your head up you butt throughout this campaign. But you are right that Romney does not have much a record to run on. How can he have a record when he keeps changing his policies to suit his current audience? Flip-flop, flip-flop, tick-toc, tick-toc. Time is running out for Romney.
This Community Organizer in Chief has been a disgrace to the office for four years and so glad this nightmare is coming to an end. We want a president who is NOT divisive, NOT condescending, NOT argumentative, and NOT self-centered. It will be great when we have Romney in the White House and the office of the presidency can be respected again.
"Obamesia" seemed to hit Barack Obama about 2 days after Ambassador Stevens and the 3 others were murdered ...... he just COULD NOT REMEMBER who was responsible so he went around for about 2 weeks afterwards BLAMING it on a 17 minute film clip that was not very flattering to Mohammed !
Then, of course, there was the intentional snub of Benjamin Netanyahu because Bam-Bam's fundraiser and appearing on TV to promote himself ... were more important !
Boromir... I'll take those "golden plates" over the racist, America-hating Rev. Wright any day!!!
How very presidential... resorting to name calling... Romneisa? that was cute in middle school... from a president, I'd prefer an agenda and a plan to lead our country to the greatness it once was.
Unemployment rate when the President took office: 7.6%
Unemployment rate now 7.8%
The average duration of unemployment has almost doubled since the President took office, rising from 19.8 weeks to 38.8 weeks
Number of people out of work when the President took office: 11.6 million
Number of people out of work now 12.088 million
National debt when the President took office: $10.6 Trillion
Nation debt now: $16.2 Trillion
Median household income is down by $4,300 since the President took office
Number of people on food stamps when the President took office: 32 million
Number of people on food stamps now: 47 million
Gas prices have more than doubled since the President took office
In-state tuition for 4 year universities has increased 25% since the President took office
These are indisputable facts that most Americans find unacceptable. There’s a lot of blame to go around but the buck stops with the President and he's had 4 years and AT LEAST a 2/3 majority in Washington to get something done. It simply hasn't been enough.

Wrong and reckless is a $16 trillion national debt heading to 20 trillion. Wrong and wreckless is 42 consecutive months of unemployment over 8%. Wrong and wreckless is a trillion dollar stimulus investing taxpayer money in greenworks boondoggles, 14 of which are bancrupt now with several more heading the same way. Wrong and wreckless is an endless stream of lies and spin over Benghazi purely motivated by election self interest. Wrong and reckless is a perpetual balme game and a failure to accept responsibility for what happens on your watch. Wrong and wreckless is a guy who can't function in a two party system because its his way or the highway. Not only has the Obama presidency been a failure in every respect but in the debates he has shown himself to a petty, small, self-centered smug narcissist who will say and do anything to get an underserved second term. I like the phrase "Economic Patriotism". That is when all these big sellers like Apple, Nike and the rest, start to realize that to have Americans can build their products for a living wage in America, is way better than to have these poor foreign sweat shop imprisoned workers making $2.00 day, building their products overseas. My question still remains, how much money do these CEO's need to live a year, $10 million, $20 million, $30 million, I mean how much is too much, or is there a too much? Is this where greed is good? These CEO people were raised in America but somewhere they lost what it is to be American, to help America be strong and free. These guys can't even spend all the money they make in a year, yet they want more. They buy our lawmakers, the lawmakers get greedy, so laws are made to protect the greedy CEOs, and that's where we find ourselves today, our government has ground to a halt, protecting the greedy and their greed, this is the "economic treason" of the 1%.
We have gone as far as we can go as a country of democracy, if we don't change the way our government works we are headed down the road toward full "oligarchy", where the 1% will live like the "kings of old", and the rest of us live like indentured servants, on land we don't own, in houses we can only rent, and work at low paying jobs we can never quit. Romney is one of these oligarchs already, him and his friends at Bain Capital, he keeps saying he is a business man and knows how to run a business, and that's what he will do, run America like a business, outsource or sell the broken parts off, like education, health care, environmental protection, layoff the workers, cut their pensions, reduce their health care, then proudly claim he has balanced the budget!! Then they will all get together and sing, "We are One", as American ends up next to the bottom of the world's once great economies.
I call BS on 90% of people posting here getting swayed to vote a different direction because of the posts on First Read.
So why is that 90% advertising for the one candidate they do like, again?
It isn't like they are even going to convince independents with their words, either. If you look at what is getting posted...
JT,
If you want to write a book, find a publisher first. I don't think Newsvine is in the publishing business.
Romney seems to be the better choice then Obama when it comes to the economy. The Obama administration has run up huge deficits with little show for it and is offering only more of the same. Hopping that things change has not worked very well. The President has failed to adequately explain why he has not kept promises regarding unemployment and the deficit. The President has yet to offer a detailed plan for paying back the debt. The taxpayers have a right to know how much all this federal borrowing is going to end up cost them. Romney showed at the debate that he is definitely not more of a threat to get us into another war than Obama is.
We can all be but agree that nowhere in the past four year, did the right wing media, conservatives, all republicans from the Senate, all republicans from the House, all the republican state governors, indeed all of the republican leadership councils from the right wing radio, television, and cable outlets, did not engage in name calling, derision, disparaging remarks of anything that should have been left unsaid.
This is a time when we should be celebrating, the highest moral standards set by all God fearing Republicans, to establish American as decent, civil place to live, and have a country where all Americans can come together and do the heavy lifting needed to get the economy going, after all we have done so much good in the past four years.
But instead we have to ignore all those saintly concerns, and digress down the ugly path. Obama has only defended himself, in the time allotted and in the gracious manner, and I mean defended himself - all by himself - absent the voices of healing, the voices of cohorts, the voices of true Christian values, the voices of patriotic Americans yearning to be productive, caring Americans wishing to contribute, Americans willing to work but cut off at the knees, by the incessant bickering of the paid for advertising media wishing to collect their market share.
American are now so focused on Romnesia that they cannot remember the past, their past statements, past remarks, or their accomplishments, or even if that had any accomplishments, as if caught by a stern religious parent, swearing, boys would have their mouths washed out, as if caught by the school master smoking in the boys room, as if beaten by their grandmothers hair brush for stealing from the collection plate.
America has digressed to the point where the bullied fighting back cannot be found blameless, while the bully has suddenly donned the halo of glowing innocence, and is seen to be spouting angelic wings where previously there were only delivish horns. Romney is ascending to Heaven and leaving those in his wake, to clean up the mess of being so ripe for so long in the ferment of material so vile that it can only be flushed.
Obummer's condescending demeanor projected great insight - he hasn't got a F'ing clue about how to lead a country. He did nothing to present any positive effect he has had except slam down the "I killed Osama Bin Laden." he is the exact antithesis for the reason he gave the public for not showing what was done with OBL's body - we don't want to use the killing as a political ploy. I was undecided about who to vote for but obummer has convinced me he is as useful as a pimple as a zit on a man's @$$.
The only thing worse than this President is his mindless followers. Come on people get some dignity and shake of this guy and his foolish talk. America and it people are better then Obama and the poor plans he has.
Wake up.
What a bunch of bullocks! So the repubs are gonna start moaning and accusing the president of attacking Romney??? Romney and his buddies have done everythng but call Obama a Nword the last 18+ months and now they are gonna start whining and moaning about Obama attacking Romney? What a bunch of cry baby hypocrites! You can certainly dish it out but you cant take it can ya?
face it! Mitt knows nothing about foreign policy and he got owned.
The Thinker
you got the nerve to say Obama was condescending?? The GOP has been that way for almost 2 years so I suggest you keep your hypocracy to yourself.
elaine,
"now they are gonna start whining and moaning about Obama attacking Romney?"
Whining and moaning is what they do best. Why should we deprive them of that little pleasure, especially when they have threatened to create an armed rebellion if Obama is reelected? I think we are all better off if all they are doing is whining and moaning.

Five Times Obama Has Apologized for America
(QUOTES FROM THE “APOLOGY TOUR” THAT NEVER HAPPENED
In his acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention, Mitt Romney said:
“I will begin my presidency with a jobs tour. President Obama began with an apology tour. America, he said, had dictated to other nations. No Mr. President, America has freed other nations from dictators.”
( Videos of each Obama quote at link below text.)
1. April 3, 2009: Strasbourg, France
“In America, there’s a failure to appreciate Europe’s leading role in the world. Instead of celebrating your dynamic union and seeking to partner with you to meet common challenges, there have been times where America has shown arrogance and been dismissive, even derisive.”
2. April 6, 2009: Ankara, Turkey to the Turkish Parliament
“Another issue that confronts all democracies as they move to the future is how we deal with the past. The United States is still working through some of our own darker periods in our history.”
3. April 17, 2009, Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, at the Summit of the Americas
“While the United States has done much to promote peace and prosperity in the hemisphere, we have at times been disengaged, and at times we sought to dictate our terms.”
4. April 20, 2009: CIA headquarters, Langley, Va.
“Don’t be discouraged that we have to acknowledge potentially we’ve made some mistakes. That’s how we learn.”
5. May 21, 2009: National Archives in Washington D.C.
“Unfortunately, faced with an uncertain threat, our government made a series of hasty decisions. … I also believe that all too often our government made decisions based on fear rather than foresight; that all too often our government trimmed facts and evidence to fit ideological predispositions. Instead of strategically applying our power and our principles, too often we set those principles aside as luxuries that we could no longer afford. And during this season of fear, too many of us — Democrats and Republicans, politicians, journalists, and citizens — fell silent. In other words, we went off course.”

It will be great when we have Romney in the White House and the office of the presidency can be respected again...
LOL...In case you missed it...ole Mittens was overseas for a week (Olympics), ONE WEEK, and he embarrassed the living sh1t out of himself and this country.
As a former GOP myself, I think most serious Republicans that are not Tea Partiers have been able to see the many faces of Romney now, especially the new "oh yes, I agree, let's not go to war" Romney.
It is disturbing to think of someone who, like a chameleon, is changing positions daily depending on who he is talking to and what he hopes to gain by saying what they want to hear instead of what he intends to do.
Mr. Romney is very shrewd and cunning in this way.
What are we to believe? What he says today or yesterday or tomorrow?
He has talked tough war talk in the last 12 months, and inflamed our enemies and allies against us time and again, and now he is Mr. Congeniality at the debate, saying all he really wants is World Peace?
I used to think that if Mr. Romney somehow won it would not be the end of the world, but now I am not so sure ...
Very scary.
$7T. You are forgetting Mr Romney's tax cut of 5T.
President Obama, on the other hand, has reduced the deficit over the last 4 years. I realize that this is difficult for you to understand so your head explodes when the truth is pointed out, but the simple fact is that Obama is the fiscally responsible one, and Mr Romney is the one who is making all sorts of economic promises that do not add up.
Silly negro. Don't let the door hit you where you think.
Everyone knows what Mr Romney stands for, and Mr Romney has been completely consistent on what he stands for. He stands for Romney for President. That's it.
Everyone also knows that. Republicans just try to pretend that it is not so, mostly because they hate Obama so much that they are happy to ignore the fact that their candidate is a reckless spender and warmonger.
But then, these are the same people who think that anything short of a thermonuclear device is an "apology tour."
The only foreign policy that obumbo knows is COVER UP!!!!!
WE ALL KNOW NOW THAT THE STATE DEPT WAS WATCHING THE ATTACK IN LIBYA REAL TIME AND THEY ALL KNEW THAT IT WAS A TERRORIST ATTACK.
OBUMBO TRIED TO COVER HIS ASS AFTER SAYING THAT AL-QAEDA WAS NO MORE
...
That's exactly what Romney, Citizens United and the entire Republican campaign from the Presidential race down to township mayor has been across the country. What is their track record besides a complete and utter failure?!?
More like an old tired stepped on hat! Anybody who believes Romney & Ryan is a new hope is a naive fool! What has Republicans ever done for the economy besides screw it all up? Play with the numbers or with yourselves all you want. History and fact. Republican political and economical philosophy is a bogus ponsi scheme period. Trickle Down sucks!
Last night Obumbo proved what a snide, condescending, and worthless president he is.
Mitt Romney showed the American people that he knows as much, if not more about foreign policy than obumbo will ever know, and obumbo has had 4 years running the country to learn it.
...
You're right and your wrong! You're right that you're a sorry azz! And you're wrong because you and people like Feisty and the other dingle-berry liberals are the embarrassment to this country! None of you bring anything to the table - not even rudimentary intelligence!
Can you hear that?....It's the FAT LADY singing for Barry Hollywood and his socialist/progressive staff!
Ticked off in Ohio,
I read your list of examples of Obama allegedly apologizing for America, but do you know what? I failed to see the words "I'm sorry" or "I apologize" or anything of that sort anywhere in your list of quotes.
Post # 1 white collar auto, Romney does have a record to run on, unfortunately he has proven not to be a friend of the middle class from his Bain Capital business activities by outsourcing jobs to China and India and Mexico, also as Gov. of Mass. he has proven to not be a very effective Governor, that's his record.
Give it a break, Obama's got another 4 years even if he does nothing but keep the economy moving forward. How much more Non-Partisanship bickering/crying can you handle from the Republican Party members in Congress?
Elaine don't you know that he told you that "I have a plan " many times last night. " Trust me I have a plan" . Of course I am not going to tell what it is unless I am elected to find out Vote for me Sorta sounds like a lot like a conman to me !
Confussed,
"How much more Non-Partisanship bickering/crying can you handle from the Republican Party members in Congress?"
You raise a good point there. It should be interesting to see what kind of Congress comes out of this election, too. We're all focused on the presidential candidates and tend to forget about Congress.
The question isn't "do you want 4 more years like the last 4?"
Look at Romney's advisors and money men.
The real question is:
"Do you want 4 more years of the Bush administration?"
One has to wonder when every single minority and special interest group wants to vote for one candidate and that candidate spends more time attacking and ridiculing the other candidate instead of stating his accomplishments for the past 4 years and what his plans are for the next 4 years, what is wrong here?
Romney needs to be ridicule, and his supporters need to hear that he is reckless and wrong. On day 1 he will label China a currency manipulater. Right. He insults, in as big a way as he can, a country that owns $1trillion in securities and is a necessary partner in the Iran sanctions.
Why can't you people on the right see how incredibly dumb that is?
...of stating his accomplishments for the past 4 years and what his plans are for the next 4 years, what is wrong here?
You must be watching nothing but Fox. His accomplishments are major and important - DJIA up from 6600 to 13,000; unemployment down from 10.2 to 7.8%; Deficit whittled down $100b this year, $100b previous year, and $200b last time he had a Democratic congress; international agreement over Iran sanctions; no more "orange" or "red" alerts; GDP positive; I can go on for a long time.
Meanwhile - what's Mitt's accomplishments? One term as a governor in a state that Obama will win by 25%? He is nothing but ego, and his supporters subservient sycophants.
I really think that Obama has lost all sense of reality. He continues to talk as if he hasn't been President the last 4 years. He has never said what he HAS done to improve the economy. He hasn't mentioned how every one of his budgets has not received one vote from either a repub or a dem. Each of his budgets has proposed higher deficits than what has actually occurred. He talks about having a plan to reduce the deficit, yet hasn't said what it is. Are we really supposed to be so stupid that we are to believe that he has a plan? The sum of his economic plan is to spend more and increase taxes on those who make over $250,000 to the levels they were at before Bush. Of course, this is the same tax increase that Obama said shouldn't be enacted less than 2 years ago. The revenues that it will raise initially won't make a dent in the deficit, but will slow the economy, unless you believe that having less money would inspire on to hire more people.
His energy policy consists of reducing access to oil, gas and coal on federal lands, and take credit for the increases on private and state lands, and loaning money to his cronies for "clean" energy so that they can take the money and then file for bankruptcy.
His healthcare policy is to set up a system designed to drive people out of the current private system so that, he hopes, people will clamor for government to take over the system completely. It's such a great piece of legislation that the government issued over 3,300 waivers! (Of course the reason for that is so people don't notice how bad it is until after the election.) Add to that the fact that the government has been collecting revenues off of it (shrinking the deficit, at least in appearance), but won't be paying out anything until 2014 (increasing the deficit after the election).
Obama's "transparency" pledge: Well, Obamacare is a great example, "you'll have to pass the bill to know what is in it!" Fast and Furious: You don't need to know. Libya: Well, I can't let people know that my silver tongue hasn't worked and that my outreach to the Muslim world failed when I hired Muslim terrorists to guard the Ambassador, so.... IT'S THE VIDEO!.
Israel: Yup, Israel is our staunchest ally and we support them 100%! Of course, taking out Mubarak, Israel's staunchest supporter in the region and replacing them with the Muslim Brotherhood (another organization pledged to destroy Israel) must be in Israel's best interest.
as the News Media on Mars on Friday when those workers in Freeport lost their jobs because the jobs were being outsourced to "China"? I know I heard that Romney campaigned in all the neighboring cities and counties but FAILED TO GO TO FREEPORT, ILLINOIS....So why is he making a big deal about Obama not going to Isreal???? I can't believe the news media has not compared those APPLES TO ORANGES....OR where they on Mars on Friday??????
Ironic that he names the most crooked politicians in our area and thanks them for coming!
Why is he shouting to a microphone?
The only one ridiculed will be Barry at the polls!
Recent polls suggest he lost Florida and Ohio is TIED!
Barry, the fat lady is SINGING!!!
why is it Ok for romney to say that he will need 8-10 years to fix the economy and $$$ and all you Reich Wingers are complaining about Obama and only 4. HYPOCRITES
Obama/Biden 2012 Do not let the FOXBOTS controll your Vote
Loved how hiring teachers was his response to foreign policy!!!
I hope people realize that hiring more teachers comes from property taxes, not the federal government. So how does Barry propose we pay for all these teachers he wants to add? And what good are math and science teachers when students graduate and cant find a job?
Good, they can talk about the M1 tank jobs they plan to ELIMINATE!
There, there Rethugs. No need for all this desperation and anger. You've lost before, you'll lose again, get used to it.
Clinton/Duckworth 2016!
Romney looked lost.
I don't know why you Demmie Newsviners are so hostile...I think Mr. Obama is a lousy leader and a phony...but I do think he'll win re-election. He'll have 97% of the black vote...three-quarters of the hispanic vote and childrens' vote...and at least that percentage from the government union employee vote. In my state there's a big effort to sign up felons recently released from prison. Toss in the Newsviners and you should be all set.
Newsviners would call this bunch the "high information" voters !
Did republicans see what I saw last night? Mitt Romney scared me last night, he doesn't know what he is doing. He isn't like Sarah, where he is Vice President. He will be President, he will not just be running a state.
Calling a person out on things they have said in the past that differ from what the person is currently stating is not an attack. It's simply calling you out on your lies, Mitt.
Romney wants the 1916 fleet back because much of it burned coal. But he's forgotten that the capital ships were also armored and US steel mills can no longer roll that thickness of plate - Bain Capital closed those mills.
32 million on food stamps now up to 47 million....
You didn't build that, I bought that bag of chips and soda you are drinking!ProBusiness, I get that you're trying to hide the fact that you don't have a clue of how the unemployment rate is calculated behind all that "I'm an econ professor" razzmatazz (check my comments history, there is a response of mine to a comment of yours you haven't replied to), but this, I won't let you get away with —
Yeah, sure. Romney is the man the Office of the Presidency needs to be respected again. Sure, we need a Commander in Chief who doesn't understand why our Navy is immensely stronger today than it was 85 years ago, in absolute or relative terms, despite having fewer ships. We need a man who hasn't the slightest inkling of how Navies are measured and their sizes or capabilities compared, whether across countries or across historical periods. We need a man who is being advised by the ex-advisers of one of the least respected presidents in modern history. We need our foremost diplomat to be someone who can't visit our closest and most loyal ally without offending them. (And no, our closest ally is not Israel—it's the United Kingdom.) We need the top official of our federal government to be a man who holds private parties where he mocks 47% of us, then says he still thinks he was right, and THEN, only after all the backlash, says he was wrong. We need someone who's so out of touch with the rest of us that he thinks making $10,000 bets on national TV will earn him many admirers. We need our President to be someone who wasn't even respectful enough, when he wasn't the President, to address the sitting President with more courtesy and reverence than "I'm still talking; you'll get you're chance in a moment" or "have you taken a look at your pension?". We need a man whose English isn't even up to presidential standards (please, Mitt, stop saying "with regards to"). Yes, that is the man who will be capable of restoring* the respect the Office of the Presidency deserves.
I don't pretend that I'll change your opinion that Romney deserves a chance at being President. I don't pretend that I'll change your opinion that he would better handle the economy. But don't give me that ludicrous BS about Romney's being in a position to restore, gain, or even maintain the respect the Office of the Presidency has enjoyed during Obama's term, especially from a global perspective. That is baloney and you can't disguise it as an opinion.
*Which, by the way, Obama has done a wonderful job at. Look up any global poll on the opinion people have of the world's powers, whether it's the Gallup leadership poll or the BBC World Public Opinion poll. Compare where we were in 2008 to where we are in 2012.
I'm republican and I'm going to vote Obama..
trying to look like and act like Reagan doesn't make you presidential..... Romney blew it with the crazy Medicare plan and just laying back and saying everything is Obama's fault.... that isn't a plan
Obama is being critized for attacking his opponent. lol. This is an election people, this is what politicians are susposed to do.
oh, and blaming Bush is?
How pathetic of you
WHAT crazy Medicare plan? He is trying to SAVE Medicare for the rest of us, who ALSO PAID INTO IT.....but it will be BROKE when WE need it!
Who cares? You got yours? Gee thanks!
Romney swung so far to the left last night during the debate he decided to vote for President Obama and support his campaign!
Romney swung so far left last night he dumped ANN and tried to get a date with Michelle Obama!
Romney swung so far left last night during the debate his son Tag took a swing at his old man!
Well Hi Feisty! Yeah the last time Willard drew a crowd like that was when he owned the company Soilent Green!
Re post 1.71
They also were using horses to pursue Al Qaeda in Iraq.
Our armed forces need to be and must remain an all of the above operation.
I went to the Obama campaign's web site to look at the President's plan for the next 4 years. What I saw was devoid of details and budgetary information. for example"
There are no numbers. The President promised that the 2012 federal deficit would not exceed 229.27 billion dollars yet the actual 2012 deficit has exceeded 1.1 trillion dollars. If the President gets his tax increase on the "rich" that will divert about 100 billion dollars per year from the private sector to the public sector. To start paying down our debt we have to run a surplus. Using 2012 numbers, to run a surplus our annual savings from ending the war in Afghanistan will have to exceed 2 trillion dollars per year according to the President's plan. We are not spending anywhere close to 2 trillion dollars per year in Afghanistan. We would not save anything close to that even if we eliminated all defense and foreign aid spending. The President's plan is pure fantasy. The President has not sense of budget.
JoAnne in PA "Commander in Chief? The Romney we saw last night couldn't command a kindergarten class."
LOL.....and Mr. Obama cannot talk to a grade school class WITHOUT a teleprompter.
Yep, that's an Organizer-in-Chief for you.
"Look, it's an all volunteer force. Nobody made these guys go to war. They had to have known and accepted the risks. Now they whine about bearing the costs of their choice? It doesn't compute. I thought these were people who were proud to sacrifice for their country. I wasn't asking for blood, just money. With the country facing the worst financial crisis in its history, I'd have thought that the patriotic thing to do would be to try to help reduce the nation's deficit. I guess I underestimated the selfishness of some of my fellow Americans."
-- Barack Hussein Obama, President of the United States, in a speech about healthcare for Veterans, 2009
Odumbo as some idiots keep putting it, kicked your sorry Mormon Republican's a$$! And wiped up the floor with his lack of foreign intelligence. And Obama really didn't have to try too hard after Robmey's performance during his World tour! How pathetic can a Republican Koch sucking diplomat be? Mitten's actually gave some sustenance to Sarah Palin's diplomatic expertise compared to what that idiot did! Even with chaperones he couldn't get anything right! The guy is actually worse than your king of idiots George 2.0 W!
FedupwithFed...
Thanks for the chips a$$hole...they sure were tasty :)
Nom Nom Nom...
Oh...and its Medicare part D btw...
Please do some homework before you come back babbling about sh1t you know nothing about.
The M1 is a cold war relic....the 80's called, they want their foreign policy back :)
After all that’s been said and done, true or false, 4 years of President Obama’s reign are there for everyone to see and no one can hide or deny it. Let me tell you, with that record, he has nothing to crow about.
R/R 2012
Ps. President Obama, the Nobel Peace Prize, issued prematurely, it too was a mistake, please hand it back.
Now that is just f'ing hilarious!
Newsweek, Aug 31, 2010:
Our maddening times demand that the truth be forthrightly stated at the outset, and not just that the president has nothing in common with the führer beyond the possession of a dog. The outlandish stories about Barack Hussein Obama are simply false: he wasn’t born outside the United States (the tabloid “proof” has been debunked as a crude forgery); he has never been a Muslim (he was raised by an atheist and became a practicing Christian in his 20s); his policies are not “socialist” (he explicitly rejected advice to nationalize the banks and wants the government out of General Motors and Chrysler as quickly as possible); he is not a “warmonger” (he promised in 2008 to withdraw from Iraq and escalate in Afghanistan and has done so); he is neither a coddler of terrorists (he has already ordered the killing of more “high value” Qaeda targets in 18 months than his predecessor did in eight years), nor a coddler of Wall Street (his financial-reform package, while watered down, was the most vigorous since the New Deal), nor an enemy of American business (he and the Chamber of Commerce favor tax credits for small business that were stymied by the GOP to deprive him of a victory). And that’s just the short list of lies.
If you righties were really so concerned about propriety, you wouldn't have started this crap in the first place!
Pot, kettle, black!
toney,
"In my state there's a big effort to sign up felons recently released from prison."
Did you know that there are 2 states that actually allow convicted felons to vote by absentee ballot while they are still in prison? Here is a list of the states and their laws that deal with that:
http://felonvoting.procon.org/view.resource.php?resourceID=286
Apparently the good people in those states do not believe a persons civil rights should be restricted just because of a felony conviction.
ticked off.....great post!! The chosen one seems to still think that the Chicago MOBpolicical games of lie, cheat & steal are going to work this time!! After all, they still have the community organizer trick of stuffing the ballot box!!
Romney came off as Presidential and cool headed, BOZOhussen could not provoke him...and that really showed the thin-skinned side of the messiah!!!!!
President Obama at least knows how to forgive people for wanting to perform violence on him. He even shook Trigg Romney's hand at the debate last night!
"Obama’s Inflated Jobs

Yep, our SO CALLED president is a real class act (GAG). Nothing but broken promises and no plan, all he can do is insult, ridicule and villify. He's incapable of any kind of leadership because of his smug arrogance, and is basically just a JERK. And, thank goodness, lots of undecided voters saw it last night. Hasta la vista, burro.
We had more horses and bayonets in 1916 than to day, har, har, har. Now wasn't that cute?
Not true, but cute, less horses, more bayonets. That's what liberals do best, not true but cute. Hope and change.
Vote for johnson or write in Ron Paul, give the country a chance.
Probusiness,
The biggest disgrace for this country in my lifetime was the 8 years before Obama when the WORST president ever almost ruined our whole economic system and came close to bankrupting our financial institutions with the help of right right wing nut case republicans! Also his two lost wars and the $4,000,000,000,000 down the toilet for nothing and the wasted 7,200 American lives. Get your facts straight. You are a disgrace for ignoring the facts about Worst President EVER! (The bushwhacker!)
CoRavensFan,
"One has to wonder when every single minority and special interest group wants to vote for one candidate"
Are you trying to tell us that Romney doesn't represent special interest groups? What about the Koch Brothers and all the other billionaires who are contributing to his campaign's PAC's? What about Wall Street, the banks and the big business interests in general? Are those not special interest groups?
Not only do we have more bayonets today than we did in 1916, we discover that they are being made in canada. That's right, canada.
Liberals blame the loss of our jobs on corporate "greed", yet our "caring" government buys weapons for our military forces from foreign countries. Apparently, after translating corporate "greed" into English it becomes obama. How much went into his pocket?
They get the jobs, we get the bills.
The federal government should only buy things that are made in the united states of america.
Two more weeks, then I will sigh. No way to win when both are losers.
Obama presidency will go down as the lost years and yes I want mine back, but that will never happened so Mr President Obama step aside and let a man do a mans job.
Romney 2012
backhouse your comment about the stock market isnt true, just last night the dow dropped -243.36, just sayin please check the facts also for anyone who needed a timeline obama did his apology tour it was 09, 3 places he made lil slurs toward america was france saying and i quote "america has shown arrogance an been dismissive even derisive toward europe" end quote ...in prague he said" america has a moral responsibility to act" on arms control because only the US had "used a nuclear weapon, thats just 2 examples there were more like what he said to london...vote how you want people but really realize whats going on!
THE MEDIA HITS OBAMA.
Is about time!!! Take a few minutes to read this -- The liberal Washington Post and Newsweek hit Obama.
THE LIBERAL MEDIA HITS OBAMA
Finally, the Washington Post and Newsweek speak out about Obama. This is timely and tough. As many of you know, The Washington Post and Newsweek have a reputation for being extremely liberal. The fact that their editors saw fit to print the following article about Obama and the one that appears in the latest Newsweek, makes this a truly amazing event, and a news story in and of itself. At last, the truth about our President and his agenda are starting to trickle through the “protective wall” built around him by the liberal media.

I Too Have Become Disillusioned.
By Matt Patterson (columnist - Washington Post, New York Post, San Francisco Examiner)
Years from now, historians may regard the 2008 election of Barack Obama as an inscrutable and disturbing phenomenon, the result of a baffling breed of mass hysteria akin perhaps to the witch craze of the Middle Ages. How, they will wonder, did a man so devoid of professional accomplishment beguile so many into thinking he could manage the world's largest economy, direct the world's most powerful military, execute the world's most consequential job?
Imagine a future historian examining Obama's pre-presidential life: ushered into and through the Ivy League, despite unremarkable grades and test scores along the way; a cushy non-job as a "community organizer;" a brief career as a state legislator devoid of legislative achievement (and in fact nearly devoid of his attention, so often did he vote "present"); and, finally an unaccomplished single term in the United States Senate, the entirety of which was devoted to his presidential ambitions.
He left no academic legacy in academia, authored no signature legislation as a legislator. And then there is the matter of his troubling Associations: the white-hating, America-loathing preacher who for decades served as Obama's "spiritual mentor"; a real-life, actual terrorist who served as Obama's colleague and political sponsor. It is easy to imagine a future historian looking at it all and asking: how on Earth was such a man elected president?
Not content to wait for history, the incomparable Norman Podhoretz addressed the question recently in the Wall Street Journal: To be sure, no white candidate who had close associations with an outspoken hater of America like Jeremiah Wright and an unrepentant terrorist like Bill Ayers, would have lasted a single day. But because Mr. Obama was black, and therefore entitled in the eyes of liberal-dom to have hung out with protesters against various American injustices, even if they were a bit extreme, he was given a pass. Let that sink in: Obama was given a pass - held to a lower standard - because of the color of his skin.
Podhoretz continues: And in any case, what did such ancient history matter when he was also so articulate and elegant and (as he himself had said) "non-threatening," all of which gave him a fighting chance to become the first black president and thereby to lay the curse of racism to rest?
Podhoretz puts his finger, I think, on the animating pulse of the Obama phenomenon - affirmative action. Not in the legal sense, of course. But certainly in the motivating sentiment behind all affirmative action laws and regulations, which are designed primarily to make white people, and especially white liberals, feel good about themselves.
Unfortunately, minorities often suffer so that whites can pat themselves on the back. Liberals routinely admit minorities to schools for which they are not qualified, yet take no responsibility for the inevitable poor performance and high drop-out rates which follow. Liberals don't care if these minority students fail; liberals aren't around to witness the emotional devastation and deflated self-esteem resulting from the racist policy that is affirmative action. Yes, racist. Holding someone to a separate standard merely because of the color of his skin - that's affirmative action in a nutshell, and if that isn't racism, then nothing is.
And that is what America did to Obama. True, Obama himself was never troubled by his lack of achievements, but why would he be?
As many have noted, Obama was told he was good enough for Columbia despite undistinguished grades at Occidental; he was told he was good enough for the US Senate despite a mediocre record in Illinois; he was told he was good enough to be president despite no record at all in the Senate. All his life, every step of the way, Obama was told he was good enough for the next step, in spite of ample evidence to the contrary.
What could this breed if not the sort of empty narcissism on display every time Obama speaks? In 2008, many who agreed that he lacked executive qualifications nonetheless raved about Obama's oratory skills, intellect, and cool character. Those people - conservatives included - ought now to be deeply embarrassed.
The man thinks and speaks in the hoariest of clichés, and that's when he has his teleprompters in front of him; when the prompter is absent he can barely think or speak at all. Not one original idea has ever issued from his mouth - it's all warmed-over Marxism of the kind that has failed over and over again for 100 years.
And what about his character? Obama is constantly blaming anything and everything else for his troubles. Bush did it; it was bad luck; I inherited this mess. Remember, he wanted the job, campaigned for the task. It is embarrassing to see a president so willing to advertise his own powerlessness, so comfortable with his own incompetence. But really, what were we to expect? The man has never been responsible for anything, so how do we expect him to act responsibly?
In short: our president is a small-minded man, with neither the temperament nor the intellect to handle his job. When you understand that, and only when you understand that, will the current erosion of liberty and prosperity make sense. It could not have gone otherwise with such a man in the Oval Office.
Is it true that Donald Trump is releasing Divorce papers prepared by Michelle Obama for filing in 2000 after Obama lost his first bid for a Senate seat?
AndresTM,
"we need a Commander in Chief who doesn't understand why our Navy is immensely stronger today than it was 85 years ago, in absolute or relative terms, despite having fewer ships."
You are right. And our Navy is stronger now than it was just four years ago. The Navy had 278 ships when Obama took office. It now has 285 ships.
Actually, Obama mocking Romney is amusing in a pathetic way and because Obama surrounds himself with his minions, he's sure to get laughs whenever he says something that ridicules Romney.
However, for the rest of the country, all they see is an Obama acting in a boorish and juvenile manner. His actions only serve to diminish him in the eyes of the people, but when you have no record to run on, this is all that's left.
Wet Willy,
"His actions only serve to diminish him in the eyes of the people, but when you have no record to run on, this is all that's left."
You guys keep using "the people" as if it meant "everyone". Now you only need to look at many of the posts on this thread to realize how false your statement is unless you think the posters who support him on this thread are not people.
Mickey 1.147
My use of the term "the people" is indeed everyone but Obama's minions. As far as the posts on this thread, this (nbc news) is where these minions collect to put up "feel good" posts about Obama and to mock Romney.
The mindless Obama supporters flock to this site to comfort each other and to delude themselves into thinking that the world loves their socialistic hero. Obviously, you can be counted among them.
Wet Willy,
"My use of the term "the people" is indeed everyone but Obama's minions"
Obama's supporters number in the 10's of millions yet according to you they are not people. I suppose that is the prevalent attitude toward the "hoi polloi" in the Republican Party, and if God is kind to us, we will never again see another Republican president in the White House.
"The mindless Obama supporters flock to this site to comfort each other and to delude themselves into thinking that the world loves their socialistic hero. Obviously, you can be counted among them."
It is the "mindless" Obama supporters who see you and those like you as mindless. And you are wrong if you think his supporters you find on this site are all there are. This is only a very small sampling of the total number of Obama's supporters that you see here.
Mickey 1.149
I've always said there are a lot of really stupid people in this country.
BTW, did you get your free cell phone yet?
Romney was right and BOZOhuseen was lying ....Again!!!!....REuters report from Washington,,,
The truth is coming out about Libya......more lies from Barry, Over-the-Hill'ry and drunken-Biden.....preplanned Islamic Terrorist attack....nothing to do with the video...The White House had 7 hours to save the UNarmed Embassy people... and let them be murdered!!
Hey BOZOhussen, the USA now has these ships that have planes land and take off from them--they are called aircraft carriers....WHY did you NOT help the embassy people??!!
Even the inept jimmy "the peanut brain" Carter did not allow our Embassy people to be murdered!!!
The crowd sure was FIRED UP & READY TO GO & SO AM I!
BTW - anyone remember the last time Willard drew a crowd of 11,000 who voluntarily attended? lol
Don't worry, ObamaCare covers pre-exisiting conditions! ;o)
LOL, GOOD!
Because this election we're going to FIRE OBAMA, and send him back to his convicted pals in Chicago.....and since you're "ready", you can go with him.
LOL
DEMOCRATS FOR ROMNEY, 2012!!!!!
youve got until jan 2013 to get that free obozocare gastric bypass. better move on that now.
How about post-traumatic syndrome? LOL
Woohoo!!! Hussein gets another bounce from the debate. A bounce down. LOL. First time Rasmussen has Romney with 50% to Obama's 46%. Gallup still has Romney by 51-45. Ohio is dead heat.
?????????
obama=moron answers same question from every debate with same crap.
My fellow Americans:
The "Plan" is to destroy America!
Right wing, left wing, Republican, Democrate, Libertarian, Independent, all in it together to bring down America!
And to bring in the "One World Government(NWO)."
Antichrist will "Rule" the world, and Israel will survive! This is where it is headed, read the Book, it tells of the future.
You don't have to believe me, you'll find out, then it will be too late!
"Consider your ways!" Trust Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, REPENT!
The left-wing liberal ding-bats are praising Obama for his win last night. Most liberal media news outlets are saying Obama may have won on style points, but didn't throw the knockout blow he needed to regain his position.
MYTH didn't disqualify himself last night. Even F. Chuck Todd, the FR face in the WH, confirmed that Obama didn't get the job done.
Doesn't look good for Obama, except in the eyes of the Obama cheerleaders of FR.
Desperation at its finest. Big Red, what do you do for a living?
Liberals accepted Obama lost the first debate. Its time conservatives shed their denial about debates 2 and 3. Excuses, complaints, and distortions don't change the fact that 60 million Americans watched Obama reaffirm himself as the strongest man for the job.
A vote for Romney is a vote for the American taliban.
VETERANS FOR OBAMA
jerry-1795679...you scare me more than Romney..LOL - didn't Bush 1 talk about his "New World Order"?
didn't Billy Graham remove Mormonism from his cult list? If the only way to heaven is through Jesus Christ, I wonder how many people Graham has just cast into Hell!!!! .... people like you have taught me a lot about religion!!!!!!!
RobMeHood lost two debates, what a Moron !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
terry-2517690
Sorry Terry but a moron is someone who can't remember what his position was or doesn't believe strong enough to have a position so he changes it every day!!!!
Looks like the Obama campaign is reduced to name calling.
Mass & Patriotic - You both claim Romney lost the second debate, based on what, MSNBC's news coverage? Obama wins by just showing up?
Fact is Romney's poll numbers have only increased since the second debate and have jumped further overnight. So much for Obama's reaffirmation...
"The "Plan" is to destroy America!"
According to Joesph Smith it is the Mormon agenda..
This is how the Left rolls when you don't agree with them. Disgusting!!!
A Wisconsin state senator says his adult son was attacked in the early-morning hours on Friday by two men after he confronted them as they removed a Romney-Ryan sign outside his home.
State Sen. Neal Kedzie says his son, Sean, was wrestled to the ground by the two and stuck repeatedly on the head and face. A neighbor heard the commotion and managed to scare the attackers, Sean Kedzie was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital
The President doesn't need to coach his crowd like Wrongme does. I saw a picture of a sign at one of his rallys where it said two certain sections were reserved for 'active participants'. It was an official sign. It had the Romney logo on it.
Plus, he had to bus in people to fill the Univision broadcast. They made repeated requests around campus asking for people to attend, but there simply was little interest.
I keep seeing "4 more for 44", but my mind tells me "no more for 44". Did anyone else see the u-hauls headed for the white house? Party is over Mr. Obama & Mrs Obama time to give up the rockstar lifestyle, no more air force one and yes you'll have to give up the entourage Michelle. Look at it this way Mr President come next year you'll have plenty of time to shoot hoops, play golf and make guest appearances on The View, perhaps they will make you a new cast member, I am certian you could get a job as a coorespondent for Colbert or Stewart.
ScottW,
"didn't Billy Graham remove Mormonism from his cult list?"
Even if Mormonism is not a cult, Romney is a cult. Just look at all his cult followers on this thread! I hope they don't follow him when he drinks the Kool Aid, too.
Communist Obama Spends The Final Debate Stretching The Truth And Spinning His Record - this is why he will lose the election in a landslide to Romney / Ryan 2012. Only a GOD-less Demon-cRAT will believe his baseless lies . . . LOL!!!

"Mr. Obama sought to negotiate a Status of Forces Agreement that would have allowed United States troops to stay in Iraq after 2011. Initially, the Obama administration was prepared to keep up to 10,000 troops in Iraq. Later, the Obama administration lowered the figure to about 5,000 troops - some 3,500 of which would be continuously based in the country while the remainder would periodically be rotated through. The role of the American forces would be to train Iraqi troops, patrol Iraq's skies and help Iraqi commandos fight Al Qaeda." This is a process in which the company uses the bankruptcy code to discharge its debts, but emerges from the process a leaner, less leveraged company. THE CLAIM: Obama: It Cost Less To Liberate Libya Than What The U.S. Spent In Two Weeks In Iraq. OBAMA: (President Barack Obama, 2012 Presidential Debate, Lynn University, Boca Raton, FL, 10/22/12)
THE FACTS: CNN's John Berman: "Our Verdict Here Is False On The Math." BERMAN: "So, what are the facts here? The total cost for the first five years of the war in Iraq was 646 Billion. Which breaks down to about 700 Million for two weeks which is less than the 896 million the U.S. spent on military intervention in Libya. Our verdict here is false on the math. Obama was right that Libya is cheap compared to Iraq overall, but he exaggerated by about 200 million dollars when he compared it to two weeks in Iraq." (CNN, 10/22/12)
LIE #6: OBAMA CLAIMED ROMNEY'S JOBS PLAN WOULD CREAT JOBS OVERSEAS

You mentioned the Navy, for example, and that we have fewer ships than we did in 1916 well, Governor, we also have fewer horses and bayonets because the nature of our military has changed. We have these things called aircraft carriers where planes land on them. We have the ships that go underwater, nuclear submarines." (Fox News, 10/22/12)
Fiesty,
I am just curious, If Obama looses what does this mean for you? How will it change your life? What do you think will happen?
Just a question, Not only you but other democrats what do you think really will happen? Not using none this media propaganda from both sides. Just a true honest answer.
Fired up and ready to go! Sane individuals will show up this November, unlike 2010. The polls consider a LIKELY voter as one that voted in the tea party midterm last election in 2010. People who actually care for this country will not stay at home in two weeks. Be ready for the real November surprise, when the President wins by a much larger margin than expected. Obama will win a much deserved re-election, and the tea party will be the ones bowing down!
The hackers can release Romney's tax returns any day now.
Ah! Bayonets and Horses. Actually I like where Romney is today, who could have thunk it. After years of running his campaign, all the debates with the other challengers, all the attack ads, all the millions spent explaining his shifting positions to the American people, and finally we get to the last presidential debate and Romney starts to see and understand President Obama's plans for America and the next four years, and he agrees with everything President Obama said, which shows you Romney isn't so dumb after all!!
spud,
"Obama will win a much deserved re-election, and the tea party will be the ones bowing down!"
I just hope you're right. Obama already got my vote, but I'm only one person. The Republican base and the Tea Partiers are all fired up, so if we are going to win, Democrats and right-thinking Independents need to get just as fired up and get out there and vote.
OBAMA the negro wants to make Mexican illegals "the White Man's Burden"!
Oh boy, another "teabagger" bigot!
Just heard that Obama has presented the nation his jobs plan! Nothting more than his previous statements, presented in booklet form. Should have used one of those Chinese binders there Mr. President.
After the fact fact-checkers point out that Obama told more lies during this debate than prior debates. But at least the Community Organizer knows what an aircraft carrier is.
No matter how you spin it, this man has issues. Keep on dividing and telling the lies Mr. Obama, it's only two more weeks before you join the ranks of Jimmy Carter.
Bush came to Office in 2001 with a 5.6 trillion dollar SURPLUS projected between 2002-2011. Not only did he completely wipe out that projected surplus, he added 5 TRILLION DOLLARS TO THE NATIONAL DEBT WITH TAX CUTS AND WARS. Over a 10 TRILLION DOLLAR reversal in America's financial status!!! Where were all the tea party deficit warriors then!!!! HMMMM...where the heck were they!!! When Bush left office in January 2009, his last full year in office 2008, he ran a 1.5 TRILLION DOLLAR DEFICIT for that year alone!!! I never heard a word out right-wing, self-righteous republicans about that. Now they want to pretend it all happened in the last 4 years??? Really??? How stupid are the American voters??? Idiots can parrot that Fox Noise?Romney/Ryan BS all they want, but its just a pack of lies by a bunch of sanctimonious, irresponsible, finger-pointing HYPOCRITS!

So why have liberals forgotten about the onerus Unaffordable Care Act? I am not only paying more for my health care under the new laws but am worse off with higher deductibles and higher copays. This is a good thing?? Not in my book.
Oh and the Benghazi affair is to be ignored too, Obama is even worse at flopping his story around than Romney, however, Obama's giant f***up got people killed, ya can't say that about Romney.
I can't wait to see the election results, we need these flaming liberals to eat some crow for a change and admit they aren't really all that wonderful, but self serving, self righteous demagogues who make more of themselves than is real.
dont forget them there new newfangled underwater boats they is calling sub marines.
So why have liberals forgotten about the onerus Unaffordable Care Act?
You obviously aren't paying attention. We love it. Our kids covered until age 26, no fear of pre-existing conditions, and - here you may be shocked - the lowest premium increases (for two years now) in the last 50 years.
If you are paying more for healthcare, you probably work for Romney's friends, who consider you a pathetic victim with no sense of responsiblity, who deservse to be cheated on health care as a matter of principle.
If Romney wins, it will be worse for you than if Obama wins. If Obama wins, your kind can continue to whine and complain about how things are getting better too slowly. If Romney wins, cuts taxes, increases spending, you're going to have to hear from us about his devastating impact on the deficit and the economy, to say nothing of foreign relations. Romney = Bush; it is insanity to keep doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
Uncle Henry,
You could use a new brain.
lololololol 1funnygirl,
she claims that pukes are now using factchecker, LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
It doesnt get any more stupidier than that.
noncoms,
prove it....
You can talk all you want but show me some numbers.
My numbers are real, and I observed the immediate increase in deductible from $1k to $3k the same month the ACA rule took place.
Under the old rules I was covered to at least 21 but then I also had my own jobs to cover myself by then too.
We also know from further study of the ACA that MORE taxes are coming, HUGE taxes. We DO NOT need MORE taxes!
Also in the last year, my rate per month nearly doubled, the highest increase in a single year than all the prior years combined. You call that 'affordable'?
If you are a 26 year old on mommy and daddy's insurance, you have some serious growing up to do too! Most people should have a job and their own insurance by at least 21.
FedupwithFed - Comment #1.109
Congress off-loaded THOUSANDS more MIA1 tanks than the Army wanted or ever needed. Now Congress wants to conduct major upgrades on thousands of these tanks designed for the Cold War era and a European theater, again thousands more than the Army wants or needs.
In the combat roles the Pentagon currently foresee these tanks will not be needed, certainly not what is undoubtedly the word's finest battlefield tank. Just because the weapon is good and is profitable for the defense contractor to produce and upgrade should NOT mean that the Army gets stuck with them.
I just don't see how making something cost more, and forcing me to pay more out of pocket, and reducing my coverage benefits, makes that product more affordable.
I guess that is liberal logic, upside down, backward and inside out.
Romney swung so far left during the debate last night he decided to join the military!
Romney swung so far to the left last night he promoted Obamacare!
Romney swung so far left last night he sold all his bayonet and horse companies!
Romney swung so far left last night he decided not to attack BeckyBeckyBeckystan!
Romney swung so far left last night during the debate he decided to show all of his taxes!
It doesn't get any more stupidier(????????) then that? Stupidier, really?
Now why should I care if it is fact-driven that Obama can't tell the truth as often as MYTH?
In his three debates, Obama fell asleep in round one. In round two he came out swinging and showed a petulant child who while he talked, it didn't say anything of substance. Just the same old recycled talking points and negative jabs at MYTH.
Round three was even worse. He's constantly on the defensive.
VOTER FRAUD ALERT:
You'se went berserk over Voter ID.....Here's how the Obama Regime does it
In Florida, White Republican voters are receiving letters mailed from the Bluest of Sanctuary Cities in the Bluest of States....SEATTLE, WASHINGTON....In official looking letters, telling them there is a information that shows they are ineligible to vote....
http://dailycaller.com/2012/10/22/florida-republicans-receiving-fake-ineligibility-letters-aimed-at-suppressing-their-vote/
And in Milwaukee, Wisconsin:
On the first day of early voting in Wisconsin that has Same Day Registration/Voting....They aren't checking cross-checking Felons List....Makes you wonder if they "forgot" to check against the felons list all year....Hmmmm
"Updated: Milwaukee election officials on Monday -- the first day of early voting -- did not check those registering to vote against a list of felons ineligible to vote, according to city and state election officials.
None of the 204 people registering to vote Monday at the Milwaukee Election Commission were checked against the felon list, according to the commission's director, Neil Albrecht. Those people will now be checked to see if any of them were improperly registered, Albrecht wrote in an email to the Journal Sentinel."
"Those who were not registered to vote or who had moved were able to register or re-register and then cast a ballot. Those who registered to vote were to be checked against a list of felons who are currently under state supervision and thus not eligible to vote. But election workers in Milwaukee did not check people registering to vote against the felon list, and the state Republican Party complained about the matter to the Government Accountability Board, which runs state elections.
Kevin Kennedy, director of the accountability board, said his agency told the Milwaukee Election Commission where it could get the felon list on the accountability board’s website.
Kennedy said he believed the problem was addressed by early afternoon Monday, but Albrecht said the city commission didn't have the list available on city computers until the end of the day Monday, making it available for use on Tuesday."
http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/news/175421001.html
WHY WASN'T IT ON THE COMPUTERS THE WHOLE TIME ????.....HOW MANY REGISTRATIONS REALLY WEREN'T CHECKED THIS YEAR ???? SAME DAY REGISTRATION HAS GOT TO GO !!!!
It means a $7 trillion increase in the deficit, the destruction of the middle class and the mass shipping of American jobs to China - till American workers become so desperate that they are willing to accept Chinese-style wages and living conditions.
As a CEO, Mr Romney would buy companies, fire all their workers and ship their jobs overseas. He now wants to be the CEO of America. What do YOU think it means for America? That he has suddenly developed sympathy and love for the working class? Give me a break.
Barack Obama gave a speech today in Dayton, Ohio today and showed his true colors once again.
He stood in front of that crowd and spoke of Mitt Romney with such contempt and arrogance it amazed me.
I can only hope that the great American citizens of Ohio can see through Barack Obama and vote him out on November 6th.
We do not need or want this Liar in Chief to lead our great nation.
He stood in front of the crowd and told them that he had kept his promises to Ohioans and Americans and as I listened I wondered how he could kiss his children with that mouth, or even sleep at night.
If he wasn't just blatantly lying he was twisting the truth so bad it was no longer recognizable, which is really the only way he can hope to win.
This Liar in Chief broke his first promise to the American people when he signed the Lilly Ledbetter Law just 2 days after it was passed.
Obama repeatedly promised not to sign bills without first giving the public five days to comment. And that was just the first of a LONG list of broken promises.
I'm not going to list all of them; you all know what they are…
I have confidence that Ohio will send this poor excuse for a president packing. I look around the state of Ohio and the atmosphere is NOTHING like it was in 2008.
No Obama banners hanging from buildings, no Obama signs filling yards as far as they eye can see, no Hope and Change signs either.
What I do see is Romney support EVERYWHERE! Banners, signs, posters, and excited voters!
I know Ohio will come through for the nation as sure as I know Ohio is the Mother of Presidents!
...
God bless America and the next President Romney!!!!!
All the progressive-Marxist can now huddle together and shout....BooooOOoo!!!
border joe,
"All the progressive-Marxist can now huddle together and shout....BooooOOoo!!!"
It sounds to me like you are opposed to progress. You should be living in the Middle Ages. Maybe you would like that.
IDO
Do you know how childish you sound? All the candidates use a teleprompter when speaking to large groups. You don't really believe what you said about Obama and kindergartners? Well, maybe you do with your right wing warped mind sick on too much FOX!

If anything sinks Obama, it will be the bayonet snafu.
Romney/Ryan 2012 - A New Hope
Yet you're comfortable with Willard not having a grasp of basic geography?
even with obama's 57 states..
it will not help him!
Hmmm...
4+ years ago OR yesterday? lol
When you have nothing left, whip out the 57 state card, it was soooo effective last time around!
Forget it Feisty - you'll never get an answer from the RWNJs. They slur and run every time.
NorCalModerate -
What they hell are you smoking - Bayonet snafu??? While our military still provides bayonets for our troops to use in case of close hand to hand combat, that was not what the President was referring to last night. Romney brought up 1916 remember???? Back then you fixed a bayonet on the end of your rifle and jumped out of a trench and charged across a vast battle field towards machine gun nest, or stormed beaches - how many of those types of battles has our modern military engaged in today????
Seriously for those that don't have a clue please go back into your self induced coma's until after the election. Romney still living in the past - Let's move "Forward" with Obama.
Mitt Romney does not understand our military needs …
Governor Romney you want to build a dozen more ships a year every year just because the fleet is smaller than 100 years ago even though they can go 5 times faster, go 10 times father, stay out 20 times longer and have 10,000 times the fire power and defense systems than 100 years ago.
The current replacement plan for our Naval Ships meets the need of the pentagon and our Admirals.
No that is what you libs do when painted into a corner. Witness the very person you were addressing. Can you find a post with an original thought from the "great one"? Nope, stir and run.
The lib vitriol continues to increase as doomsday approaches. But I guess you all are just following the example of your messiah who flat broke me up with that mean, menacing scowl he painted on his face last night. I'll bet that "evil eye" schtick really intimidated Romney, especially coming from a a guy with those pipe cleaner arms and bird legs......oooooh, downright scary!
Let's check with the residents of all 57 states on that!
""I've now been in 57 states -- I think one left to go." - Barack Obama
NorCalModerate....
So please tell me how voting in a white colar criminal, who hides money overseas, whom refuses to show America how much he actually pays in taxes, and supports outsourcing is going to help.
And please dont say "wheres Obamas college transcripts"
Answer the question.
Mediterranean Sea Big Red
If a sitting president can't talk about foreign policy better then a challenger he should drop out of the race. Yet Obama hardly receives a vote of confidence for his handling or understanding of foreign affairs. Obama is still trying to convince everyone Al Qaeda is on the run, when in fact everyone can see they are setting up new shops all over the middle east. Even though this election will not be won or lost on foreign policy, Romney did far more then just hold his own on the subject, he laid out a vision that makes sense. Unlike the Obama vision for the economy, which today is being greeted by a massive sell off as the market tumbles. Just more bad economic news for a failed four years of believing in Obama.
I really like the quote: "If you want to anger a conservative the them a lie, if you want to anger a liberal tell then the truth". Well the truth is Obama is on his way out. Romney will win in a romp.
To American Socialist- Romney submitted his taxes and he doesn't hide money overseas. Because if it was hidden we wouldn't know about it. Nobody cares how much money he makes and if he was breaking the law the IRS would be all over it. Didn't your pal Obama just hire a bunch of new IRS agents? Why don't you move to a socialist country? By the way what is a colar?
Our President Obama is not reliable. His plan for the next four years, to create jobs, should have been going on for the last 4 years. We only have the President's words 'I'll try harder next time if you re-elect me', no substance.
Diamond60,
What do you consider a romp?
Speak in terms of National percentage and in Electoral Votes, please.
Romney hid his money from the IRS and then took the 2007 amnesty deal the IRS offered. He paid the taxes and fines so he could avoid the felony charges for tax evasion.
Diamond60...
typical right wing response...
Just because something is legal doesn't mean its ethical. Oh...and Mittens has admitted time and time again he has money stashed away overseas.
Its amazing how much Mitt's base refuses to believe.
Feisty...
Feisty, Iran has access to the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman. But the sea we're talking about here, is the Mediterranean sea -- the one that leads to Israel, the country that Iran wants to obliterate. That's why access to the Mediterranean sea is important for Iran. And since when does one have to share a land border to be an ally?? Since when does one have to have a border with an ally to get goods from one country to another??
The point is, Iran is freaking scary. And if I were Israel, I'd be VERY concerned about that access to the Mediterranean Sea via Syria.
Dennis, If you must spew stupid theory, please use the correct year. It was 2009
More than you acknowledge.
The reason why I say that if anything sinks Obama's chances it will be the bayonet snafu is because it's a visual meme that is easy to circulate on Facebook and Twitter. Lots of pictures of modern-day military with bayonets on the end of their weapons. It has the potential to make Obama look very weak on foreign policy, at a time when even the slightest breeze one way or the other could topple either campaign.
Feisty shows glaring ignorance of geography; the sea was the Mediterranean, not the Gulf or some other body of water south of Iran, which is easy to blockade. DUH . . . the desperation of the ignorant Lib-tards is apparent or is it the Wisconsin effect all over again, or just a bad case of Obama-roids flaring up? Their market for oil is the European market via Iraq, Syria and Lebanon.
Communist Obama Spends The Final Debate Stretching The Truth And Spinning His Record - this is why he will lose the election in a landslide to Romney / Ryan 2012. Only a GOD-less Demon-cRAT will believe his baseless lies . . . LOL!!!

Initially, the Obama administration was prepared to keep up to 10,000 troops in Iraq. Later, the Obama administration lowered the figure to about 5,000 troops - some 3,500 of which would be continuously based in the country while the remainder would periodically be rotated through. The role of the American forces would be to train Iraqi troops, patrol Iraq's skies and help Iraqi commandos fight Al Qaeda." THE CLAIM: Obama: It Cost Less To Liberate Libya Than What The U.S. Spent In Two Weeks In Iraq. OBAMA: (President Barack Obama, 2012 Presidential Debate, Lynn University, Boca Raton, FL, 10/22/12)

We have the ships that go underwater, nuclear submarines." (President Barack Obama, 2012 Presidential Debate, Lynn University, Boca Raton, FL, 10/22/12)

The problem is, you don't like the answers, so you refuse to hear them. People believe what they WANT to believe, so you're going to believe that Romney is a "white collar criminal" no matter what proof there is to the contrary (and there is plenty of proof, most obvious is that he's never been charged with a crime!!)
As for "hiding money overseas", first off, that's perfectly legal. So if you have a problem with the Cayman Islands, change the law -- Romney did nothing illegal. Second, do you know what a blind trust is? Here's a hint: the word "blind" means that the person benefiting from the trust doesn't know what his money is being invested in.
Taxes, taxes, taxes. He has provided years worth of taxes, and the IRS has found nothing --NOTHING -- illegal about his taxes. He has provided information about his tax history, but the truth is, the left is never going to be satisfied until they can satiate their voyeuristic desires to pour over every single deduction and find something to berate him for.
And the left is going to willfully misunderstand the definition of an EFFECTIVE tax rate until this whole thing is over.
Supporting outsourcing -- here's your homework. I want you to provide me with a list of companies that Romney, personally, outsourced to China. Not companies that his associates sent to China -- companies that he, himself sent to China while he was actively involved in Bain. And then I want you to compare that to the list of companies that Romney personally kept from going under entirely. If your China list outweighs your domestic list, then we'll talk. Oh, and be sure to cite your sources so we can fact-check you.
Romney/Ryan 2012 - A New Hope
....and yet you're comfortable with the fact that when Barry Hollywood was campaigning in 2008, he visited all 57 states? The empty suit in the oval office doesn't even know his own country...hahahaha
Sorry, Feisty.......there's no coverage for YOUR pre-existing condition, no cure either for your lack of connection to the real world.!
Do you hear that?....it's the FAT LADY singing for Barry Hollywood!
All you've got is a slip from 4 years ago, when Obama used the wrong term? (There are 50 states and 7 territories - )
Meanwhile, Romeny's slip showed a major, major misunderstanding in the importance of Syria. He really believes that Iran can ship stuff through Syria to the Med, and gives that as a reason for our involvement there. He fails to note that Iraq is inbetween. That is a major strategic blunder.
And the "fact checkers" are pathetic Fox News propagandists fooling only their sheep. Obama said we have fewer bayonnets than in 1916, which is absolutely true (think of all those WW1 soldiers). It is pure Fox News misleading to pretend that Obama said we have no bayonettes. But you guys are sure falling for Fox News Fake Fact checks, aren't you?
JT,
what romney did last night was concede the foreign policy debate to President Obama.
Foreign policy is the most important job that the US President has to do while in office and romney conceded the subject to Obama.
What a joke of a Presidential candidate romney is.
Either Romney is stupid or he is taking things as a joke. He went against everything he has said in the past.
Dennis
When you have to extend the normal deployment of a Carrier Group 2 months to TRY to cover your needs before you cut the Navy, you already don't have enough ships to cover a major war and we used to have enough to fight 2 major wars.
Mad Man Mitt foreign policy = Battleships and Bayonets
Mad Man Mitt domestic policy = Binders and Big Bird
Obama/Biden 212
So AnaB - tell us about O's actual policies.
Unemployment is terrible, as is GDP.
Bottom line people are not happy with the way things are going and tired of O's excuses.
Which is why O is losing.
So which states will O give up on today? He has already conceded FLA and No. Carolina. I suspect today it'll be NH.
Spanky,
Obama has conceded nothing. He will win Florida on election night. That state always goes with the flow. It is not an original like Ohio. He will win Colorado and Nevada, Wisconsin and Iowa. So its over. Who cares about Virginia and New Hampshire. It is over. Obama/Biden 2012.
"I suspect today it'll be NH."
Why would you say that?

Sure he will Ana B, sure he will.
Why I am sure he'll win them all.
Sadly for you and JoAnne, you are familiar with trends and momentum.
You guys are fantastic.
\Why I'm sure he'll get a HUGE bump from his awesome performance last night.
"You guys are fantastic."
Aw, gee.....thanks, Spanks. You too.
Hey, if you've got a minute, could you post something about gas prices again? I don't know how the magic works, but every time one of you says the words "$5.00 gas is right around the corner", the prices just seem to plummet. Down 18 cents a gallon here again in just the last two weeks.
Come on, just one more time.....pretty please?
And after that, could you explain why Romney didn't seem to want to talk about Benghazi?
It's a beautiful day in Northern California when Spanky agrees with me. Mount Shasta is full of snow this morning as are the Eddy's. Just a beautiful day. Beautiful performance by my President last night. A wonderful two weeks to come and a win on November 6th for the Commander in Chief.
Spanky...i'm issuing a penalty for blatant Trolling. 4 more years for you!
Pettiness and personal attacks is all that is left for Obama and his liberal lemmings. The endless blame and excuses have worn thin, so what else does a president without a record have to run on? Hope and change became why we couldn't, and now schoolyard taunts and pettiness. What an embarrassing campaign strategy for a sitting president.
Actually, I'm ready for it to be over. I'm casting my ballot tonight, straight BLUE, baby!!!!

Down 18 cents a gallon and you rejoice. 4 years ago the average for a gallon of gas was under $2.00.
The Obama admisistration blew it with Benghazi.
The Obama administration officials repeatedly rejected “requests for increased security despite escalating violence … (and) systematically decreased existing security to dangerous and ineffective levels.”
Lt. Col. Andy Wood The former head of a Special Forces “Site Security Team” in Libya says that in spite of multiple pleas from himself and other U.S. security officials on the ground for “more, not less” security personnel, the State Department removed as many as 34 people from the country in the six months before the terrorist attack in Benghazi that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and three others.
Wood said when he found out that his own 16-member team and a six-member State Department elite force were being pulled in August – about a month before the assault in Benghazi – he felt, “like we were being asked to play the piano with two fingers. There was concern amongst the entire embassy staff.”
U.S. Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens wanted a Security Support Team, made up of 16 special operations soldiers, to stay with him in Libya after their deployment was scheduled to end in August, said the commander of that security team . The embassy staff’s “first choice was for us to stay,” Lt. Col. Andrew Wood, 55, said in an interview. “That would have been the choice of the embassy people in .”
You've probably been told this a couple hundred times already, but.......You really are bananas. Try to find your way back to reality before you're completely lost!

"Down 18 cents a gallon and you rejoice. 4 years ago the average for a gallon of gas was under $2.00."
Soooo not true. In 2008 I remember paying over $4.00 a gallon. I remember in 2005 when Katrina hit, that seemed to be the last of gas under $2.00 a gallon. I guess if you keep lying to yourself, eventually you will believe it because I remember CLEARLY breaking the bank at the pumps in 08. Gas prices were a huge issue for a lot of us in 08 except for RWNJ's who was somehow getting cheaper gas than the rest of us.
izzyserious,
Ahhh! Struck your conservative nerves did I? One down, 30 million to go!
Down 18 cents a gallon and you rejoice. 4 years ago the average for a gallon of gas was under $2.00. <-- because the national economy was in free fall!!! Sheesh. Apples were cheap in the Greta Depression, don't be fooled into thinking that was a good thing.
The Obama admisistration blew it with Benghazi. <-- this is so terribly unpatriotic it depresses me. Imagine if 9/11 had occurred on Obama's watch. We'd hear nothing else but Obama's blood guilt. Conservatives are mean spirited.
Look - terrorism is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay down, all across the world. The fact that 4 people killed in Libya is big news to you should be put in context to the 2000 killed by terrorists in Bush's 4th year. Look up some terrorism statistics and learn something - terrorism is waaaaaaaaaaaaay down, all across the world.
What is wrong with building more ships? It creates jobs . It makes the country more secure . Ships need maintenance some of which comes from civilians .
Obama has to go. His ideal of job creation is making a road or investing in toy cars.
wake up people.

I think it was terribly unpatriotic for the Obama administration to not only deny them the security they wanted but to also take away the security they had.
I also find it hard to believe that you believe terrorism is way down because Obama said so. What's happening in the Middle-east is proof otherwise.
It's also SAD that you think the killings in Libya we're no big deal. Again taking away existing security because you want to believe terrorism is down proved to be a mis-take.
Ahhhh, no you didn't. I've read a lot of stupid statements posted in these forums, by both sides, yours just happen to strike me as particularly stupid, that's all! Sorry to disappoint you.
Jane?Doe,
"Soooo not true. In 2008 I remember paying over $4.00 a gallon."
You're right. The price of gas varies quite a bit from state to state, city to city and even from one part of a city to another part of the same city. Some of that, at least, has to do with the difficulty or ease of getting gas into each particular area as well as other factors. So it is really hard to speak of the price of gas on a national scale. I guess what they do is add up all the varying prices and take an average of them.
You're right.. google gas prices in June 2008 -- I think average price was $4.10 a gal .. Gas fell to under $2.00 a gal right before the bottom fell out of the U.S. economy.
Obama now finally claims he has a plan for his second term?
His plans for the first term...they didnt turn out so well, did they ?
His plan is to buy that $33 million house in Hawaii.
He is a nasty, dirty, no good 1%-er after all.
Bob and Spanky -
I live in VA and am very happy with the past 4 years. Our unemployment is under 6% and our Education system especially in Fairfax is one of the best in the nation.
Warner & Webb have done an excellent representing our State. I don't know what dirt patch you live in put I will take 4 more years of continued job growth, over the flip flopping of Mitt Romney - thank you very much!!!
Actually his plan is to NOT buy that 35 million dollar house but his plan is to have it given to him.
Will he pay taxes on it as a gift?
His so called 'residence' in Chicago is NOT in his or moochies name. Check it out there are four (maybe five) 'owners of record.
My, my how this fraud does strive to deceive hmmmm ?
Obama is all about do as I say not as I do, which is the liberal mantra. For Obama, being president was about the perks and benefits, and a way to get rich. It was never about doing the job, just keeping it as long as possible.
Are you better off than you were 4 years ago? Let us NOT look at who is the better leader. Let us NOT look at the state of the country or world. Dont think about issues. Do NOT consider factors which make our personal situation in the world difficult-such as economy collapse, weather, hunger, war, jobs. Dont consider future potential, whatever you do. Look only at your own little bubble. Do NOT under any circumstances use your brain to think about anything except what the preacher tells you is right regarding abortion, and whatever little creature comforts you might stand to lose if the world doesnt go your way. Now tell me. Are you better off? If the answer is no, vote against your solid responsible leadership, and vote for Romney- because he will control the universe and make it better for you.
Household median income down 8.2%
Cost of living going up, up ,up!
People in poverty increasing daily.
Unemployment still in the toliet.
Spanky-
I truly resent what you posted about President Obama's move to Hawaii. You are completely out of touch with reality. You have no idea what the President is doing. And by the way, the house is only $31 million, but it has a killer ocean view!! But the real problem for him is he won't be able to move until after four more years in the White House. Aloha dude.
He is a fraud and he has evidently even deceived you. We are broke and he says Romney has no economic plan-----and what is his? More trillion dollar debts. Nice.
Wake UP.
Are you trying to imply that everyone who considers whether or not they are better off than they were 4 years ago (and perhaps concludes they are not and wants change) is naturally selfish and refusing to consider anything other than their own little bubble? Or are you perhaps concerned that a LOT of people are worse off than they were 4 years ago (because if only one or two people are not better off then it wouldn't be enough to sway a national election)? You do seem quite worried that people will conclude they are not better off and will vote for Romney. Have you considered that if enough people to sway the election are not better off then that might be one sign the country itself is not better off? Didn't the president build his campaign in 2008 partly on "hope" and "change"-can you blame people for wanting change if they are worse now than they were in 2008?
I personally don't support either candidate, but I can tell you that I'm not better off now. We suffered a layoff in 2010, even after my spouse had headed the most productive team in the company for over ten years and the team had never slipped a date on a product. It took a year to find a job-and that was with job hunting for at least 40 hours per week, constant networking, and taking classes to update skills as well as being willing to move across country, change industries, and take lower positions. We are thankful for the current job even though it is in a lesser position at less pay. A lot of people we know have either given up on looking for work and instead have taken early retirement while trying to do some type of consulting-and therefore don't show up as "unemployed" any more. We've seen other cases (i.e., in summer of 2010) where people were technically employed and told they would be called in as needed, but they were rarely if ever given actual work hours. Many, many others like us are working in lower positions with less pay and fewer benefits than they had-many are contractors with no benefits at all like my spouse was for several months initially. Furthermore, we used up all our retirement during the year of the lay-off. I'm not trying to whine about it but just to present the situation. We are actually blessed in that we have fared much better than a lot of people we know, and we are thankful for that.
Our income has been significantly reduced, so naturally the taxes have adjusted; however, our property taxes have skyrocketed-so that's not better. You might think we would be very happy about Obamacare because of our circumstances, but I'm in the healthcare field; and I can see a lot of potential problems such as the potential for a tremendous shortage of doctors. Obviously, I am in contact with a lot of different people in the healthcare field; and I have not talked to a SINGLE one personally-whether nurse, nurse practitioner, doctor, physical therapist, or occupational therapist-who likes Obamacare. Without exception, those I have spoken to personally in a variety of settings have told me they think it's a terrible idea. We all agree the system needs to be overhauled, of course; but just because something is a change does not mean it will help.
I have friends and family in the school systems, and they do not believe the schools have improved. I don't even think I need to present my case on that one. Besides, my post will be far too long if I go on about that!
If everything has improved so much, then why are so many more people on food stamps and government assistance? (I am not advocating cutting these programs, BTW; I'm just making the point that one would think that in improving economy, etc, would help people not to need these things as much.)
Again, I don't support either candidate. I don't believe the president has kept his promises or made things better for this country (and I don't just mean my little bubble.) However, I'm not convinced that Romney/Ryan would make things better either. I don't believe either of them had been entirely truthful in their speeches and debates (though, I hate to tell you guys, some of these truth-finder/verification things go a bit overboard in what they call lies ON BOTH SIDES-because I've read quite a few of them AND researched what they said rather than just taking their word for it.) So I'm not quite sure what to do on election day. I'VE always been the one telling people they couldn't complain about the govt if they didn't vote, and now everyone is telling ME I have to do my patriotic duty. I just wish I had better choices...
To add a bit more: all my friends who support Israel, without exception-Jews and Gentiles alike-are convinced that the president has betrayed Israel, will betray Israel, or is cabable of betraying it. I've heard quite a few commenters on here make comments to the effect that perhaps we should stop supporting Israel. While I am certainly sympathetic to the plight of the Palestinitans and I don't believe the Israelis to be perfect, it cannot be denied that they are our allies in the region. Do we normally just stop supporting allies in strategic regions like that? If we are going to start demanding perfection of our allies then perhaps we had better get rid of about half of them (think Saudi Arabia or even China)-and maybe we should self-destruct while we are at it since we are not exactly perfect ourselves! Many people believe that the Middle East has become more unstable since the Arab Spring, and our foreign policy in that area has to be incredibly subtle. I've also heard speeches from experts in the region who are very concerned about the situation in Egypt and they are even concerned about the groups we assisted in Libya-not that despots should stay, but not every group that replaces a despot necessarily becomes our friend.
Now, let me say that I do give President Obama kudos for giving the order to get Osama bin Laden. As far as I know about the mission, that took some guts because if the mission had gone bad, it probably would have been a real nightmare-likely worse than the helicopter crash in the failed rescue mission for the hostages during the Carter administration. This wasn't in the middle of the desert; it was next to a military base. (I know there's been some controversy about this whole thing, so someone can correct me if I got it wrong somehow.)
I haven't heard of anyone who supports pre emptive action against Iran-I don't think I've even heard Gov. Romney express support for that (though I certainly haven't heard all his speeches-if anyone has heard him say that, give a link, please.) However, I don't see why everyone is so strongly against holding them accountable with sanctions. The US has intervened with Israel in the past to convince them not to attack-that sort of thing can happen between nations IF THEY ARE ALLIES and if they trust each other not to do anything to betray the other. I remember quite well during the Gulf War in 1991 when the first Bush was president (I watched practically the whole thing because I had an infant at the time and I was awake anyway) when Saddam Hussein was raining down Scud missiles on Israel and I was terrified it was going to be the beginning of WWIII. The CNN reporters were inside a bomb shelter literally holding their gas masks as they reported.
The reason I feared WWIII was that if Israel retaliated, the US would of course support them, then Russia might join in to support Iraq against us then other nations might line up and take sides like they did in the world wars. So the US put pressure on Israel not to retaliate against Iraq for the Scud missiles that were landing on their soil-and Israel stood down. However, what if the government of Israel does not trust us to have their backs? What would you do if you were them and someone with nukes (assuming Iran gets them) who had repeatedly said they wanted you dead was breathing down your neck? Would YOU listen to the US? It's not like Israel has never had bombs dropped on them before-Obama himself said so in the debate and said he commiserated with them. If he REALLY commiserates you'd think he would care about a nation that is developing a nuke with a leader who has said repeatedly that Israel should not exist. Just don't get the logic if Obama is refusing to impose strict sanctions or to do what it takes to hold Iran accountable...
Predictably enough, the Rethuglicans are out in full hue and whine, snivelling about how mean and rude and just plain ungentlemanly the President was last night, and his supporters are today.
To me, that smacks of the Germans in '44 and '45, crying that the Soviet troops were "inhumane" and were acting "brutally" towards civilians.
Y'all threw away the rule book of genteel behaviour and replaced it with Newt Gingrich's infamous guidelines, but now you're complaining that the weak-kneed, lily- livered, cowardly Liberals are beating you up? COME ON!
As the scholarly and distinguished Adlai Stevenson III said: " I propose a truce with the Republicans: We will stop telling the truth about them if they will stop telling lies about us."
You started this ugliness, and now it's eating you alive. We Progressives have had enough.
Damn right FoxTrot!
They no likey when we kick sand back at em! ;o)
Too effin bad!
Romney does not like sharing a sand box. Regarding horses and bayonets, troops are still issued bayonets, and horses are still used but just like the President stated, much fewer because the military constantly adapts to environment and technology. Romney should know this but he is surrounded by very old men who haven't kept up and live inside a cold war bubble. It was in full display last night with Romney.
Ana - after 11/7/2012 Romney can go back and play in his very own sandbox in the Cayman Islands or wherever - we really don't care!
The technology comment by Obama showed how totally out of touch Romney is - on most everything. And, whenever Romney touts his "leadership" in Mass - I want Obama to ask, "then why aren't you carrrying the state?"
Obama/Biden 2012
feisty psaki..
i can whip out 9 reasons..
that would make you vote for romney!
Massachusetts has always been a "blue state" traditionally. It is a tribute to Mitt Romney that he was even able to get elected there to begin with. Don't forget, "Iinvented the Internet" Al Gore failed to carry Tennessee.
Obama still has no answers to the ongoing lies of blaming the Libyan ambassador murder on a 17 minute anti-mohammed video. Why did the Obama administration spend 2 full weeks trying to distort the truth ??
Ew. I believe both of you, FT and your arrogant President, despite your self declaration as being a "Progressive" (chortle) could use a lesson in basic manners, debate and the rules of such. I was saddened to see that Obama used such evasive tactics as name-calling and silly, chiding quips to attack Romney rather than simply addressing and actually DEBATING. I really wanted to hear him speak to what the facts were, even his version, rather than be embarrassed for his rude stance and seeming focus solely on berating his oppnent. No whining here, mere disgust. Carry on.
Right SeekingS !!! or Romney needs to stop bragging on a school system that was built 10 years before he went into office.
I will be curious to see who is whining after the election. The conversation here resembles the debates sophomoric. Both sides claim the high ground and then act like a bunch of 9yr olds. I have news for both herds, you are doing nothing to advance your cause and are demonstrating that those of us who are for the most part cynical participants who vote for the lessor of two evils that we are right.
I'd like to thank Jennifer Rene Psaki for being there to help Mr. Obama prepare for the debates and for being one of his talking heads.
Great job in helping to elect the first Morman president as the 45th POTUS.
Uh-huh. Enough Eugenics, Abortions, Sterilization, Over spending us into oblivion. Worked great for the Nazis....good socialists they were.
Progressive indeed----progress to Marxism is about all it leads to. Which leads to Communism and then despotism.
I see Sheeple who consider themselves "educated" but are just pawns, not men with their own minds, just pawns. How sad.
Another lost mind to the fog of liberalism.

He can take his pony & bayonet show back to the Chicago MOB!! Apology accepted-- now We the People will put in Romney who can do the job you Failed at!!!
Romney said, after i'm elected i'm going to reduce the federal budget by 5 trillion dollars, but he won't say how. Romney said, after i'm elected i'm going to create 20 million new jobs, but he won't say how. Romney said, after i'm elected i'm going to end President Obama's healthcare program. Everything Romney says he's going to do, we all have to wait until after the election to find out how he's planning to do these things. Every thinking person in America, except die-hard republican voters know that Romney won't be able to do any of the things he talks about.
After listening to Romney I asked myself, how stupid does he think the American voter is? When I read the letters pro-Romney people write, it's perfectly clear, Romney is right on target, his voters are incredibly stupid.
Romney has no plan for anything, no agenda, no nothing, he's all talk. People need jobs,so Romney says he's going to create 20 million of them, and all the Romney idiots believe him.
People think government is too big, so Romney says he's going to slash 5 trillion from the budget, for number one, the numbers really don't add up, for number two, even if it were possible the only way to acheive that goal is every government program that you and I need will have to be cut. Romney people, think for a minute, 5 trillion dollars, what programs can he possibly cut to reach that amount of money? answer: all of them. Romney people, which one of,all of them, is your only source of income??
Somebody please explain to me why so many people hate President Obama so much that they are more than willing to vote for a man that clearly doesn't mean anything he says, but says only what stupid people want to hear, a man that if elected will make the Bush years seem like a picnic.
Terrorist, mad at the United States, blow up a shopping center or busload of schoolkids in their own country, die-hard republican voters mad at President Obama, vote for Romney and cut their own throats.
Die-hard republican voters fit the age old adage perfectly, stupid people don't know they're stupid.
"Gov. Romney’s foreign policy has been wrong and reckless. Last night, he was all over the map," said a grinning Obama. "Did you notice that?"
Mitt Romney just called. He says that once again, he agrees with the President 100%.

I don't know about that. Romney sure does not know where the countries are located and their proximity to the ocean.
This I liked, 11:19 into the debates and Romney tried to get the President to stay on message. Obama just had to spew the lines his puppeteers gave him before he forgot them. There wasn't an opportunity yet so he throws them out in the middle of a serious discussion. He got called on it by Romney and rightfully so.
Odumbass sure knows about our 57 States though doesn't he ? I bet Romney know how many States there are in the United States. But then again you wouldn't expect a Kenyan to know.
Oh YAY! Another bigot shows up!
newday - Shouldn't you be happy to see a fellow liberal?
I am thrilled when the ""teabaggers." make true what I have always said';
Scratch a "teabagger" find a bigot.
So much fun being right!
Obama has to attack because he is losing the election, if thigns dont change.
For months we heard about Virginia, North Carolina, Florida...not so much any more.
Now Team Obama has retreated in defeat to their final 'firewall', Ohio, Wisconsin and Iowa...once they fall, it is "ovah".
Bob - put down the drugs
The President is retreating - he was still in Florida this morning and will be visiting all the other battle ground states over and over again in the next two weeks.
President Obama always moving "Forward" - Romney still back in 1916,1950 and 1980.
Pointing out how someone is wrong or lying isn't attacking its pointing out the truth. Someone should have yelled out Hey Mitt Its a debate! ob, you mad because Mittens kept agreeing with the Presisdent. Myth has been attacking the Presiedent for months. The only reason hes the nominee is because of all the losers that where running against him. The only thing I ever agreed with Newt was when asked if Mitt was a liar he said "Yes"
John - " Myth has been attacking the Presiedent for months."
Funny how many Liberals know that Romney is the leader... while Obama follows.
Debate moderator to obama...."Why did the chicken cross the road??!!"

I hope you're wrong so that.. (sing it with me..) so that ..Mitt Romney can mie to Kolob.
I hope Mitt Romney loses this election so that we can send him back to the Mormon planet Kolob.. from whence he came.. lol.
LOL...when Mitt was attacking President Obama the Respubs were singing his praises...but now that the shoe if on the other foot Repubs are whinning about how mean President Obama was to Mitt last night.
Mitt doesn't have a domestic or foreign strategy that is obvious from the debates...he will say whatever he thinks the audience wants to hear...unfortunately for Mitt the debate audiences aren't his loyal followers and they expect more than spin and lies.
you noticed that too? Republicans wage reckless political campaigns, driving swiftboats full of personal attacks and negativity...but they sure can't take a punch, can they?
I thought Romney was going to start to cry when Obama informed of the existence of aircraft carriers and submarines.
Love the new avatar, Amy B! Greetings from one of the other border states!
The Reptilicans are just acting like bullies, cowards and thugs everywhere have always done- the day finally comes when the long- suffering targets of their stupidity decide that they've had enough and give them a pop in the snoot, and they go running off to Teacher bawling, "BWAAHH! HE HIT ME BACK!"
These are the same guys who are always contrasting their toughness with the "weakness" of the Democrats- that is, when they're not busy sucking up to Hitler or playing kissy- face with Mao Zedong. Bloody pathetic is what they are.
The only mistake Obama made was not mentioning that Myths foreign policy advisors are made up of Bushies neocons. The aholes who got us in this mess.
The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were approved by Congress with prominent Democrats voting "FOR" .... at least, until they flip-flopped their positions and were "AGAINST" the wars. Obama's order to attack Libya with $1 billion in Cruise missiles was NOT APPROVED BY CONGRESS !
You forget that bush/cheney lied. He lied to you and me. He also lied to Congress. When the truth came out those Democrats did indeed change their minds. As did many others.
Do you not remember bush/cheney slandering an American Ambassador when he called their claims false?
Do you not remember bush/cheney outing the CIA agent in charge of the team looking for WMD? A lot of good people died because of that.
Do you not remember when UN weapons inspector Dr. David Kelly was murdered after he said the WMD charges were "sexed up"?
Study: Bush, aides made 935 false statements in run-up to war - CNN
Bullys are usually cowards inside.
Sean Hannity and the bully's in the Repungant party and it's followers.. who LOVED Romney trying to be a bully in the first two debates.. are now not happy that he has been smacked down by the real President.

"I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority to use force-- if necessary-- to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security." Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Oct. 9, 2002
"There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working aggressively to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear weapons within the next five years ... We also should remember we have always underestimated the progress Saddam has made in development of weapons of mass destruction." Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D, WV), Oct 10, 2002
"He has systematically violated, over the course of the past 11 years, every significant UN resolution that has demanded that he disarm and destroy his chemical and biological weapons, and any nuclear capacity. This he has refused to do" Rep. Henry Waxman (D, CA), Oct. 10, 2002
"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members. It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons." Sen. Hillary Clinton (D, NY), Oct 10, 2002
"Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation ... And now he is miscalculating America's response to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real ..." Election Monitor: 14 Days to Go and Romney Rise Continues....RUH-ROH!!!!
Posted: 10/23/2012 11:24 am
Friends,
Last night was a draw, plain and simple. Both candidates were quite good and neither made a glaring error. Obama needed to be more energetic and aggressive and appeal to his base. He did that. Romney needed to reassure swing voters that he had the temperament to be Commander-in Chief. He did that. Nothing that happened last night changed the overall trajectory of this race. The Romney surge may have slowed-- but it continues--and Team Obama likely wishes the election was held today. With exactly 14 days to go Romney is poised to catch or overtake the President in key battleground states. If the President has an October surprise, he should use it now.
Yes, the President was more aggressive last night and scored more rhetorical punches. He may, in fact, have won the debate on points. Romney, however, just might have won the strategic campaign battle. Team Obama sought to paint Romney as reckless (the President even used this word) and bellicose. Romney came across as neither, either stylistically or from a content perspective. According to a CNN/ORC snap poll Obama won the debate 48% to 40%. He also had a 51% to 46% edge on leadership. But the two were tied on likeability. Two months ago, Obama led Romney on likeability by 20 points. To be even on likeability and nearly even on the leadership attribute is a huge boost for Romney. Finally, the CNN survey also asked whether voters thought Romney could handle being Commander-in Chief. By a 22-point margin (60% to 38%) voters answered in the affirmative. Last night Team Romney wanted a debate performance that would help them win the election, but not necessarily win the actual debate. Time will tell if that strategy was correct.
For a sitting President to go on the attack as President Obama did last night suggests that this was a strategic calculation born of necessity. The President has been losing vote share for nearly 30 days. Our projected election trend line shows that there has been a substantial structural change to the race. Obama maxed out his vote share after a) the Democratic convention and b) Romney's 47% comment. Since the first debate, it has been all Romney. This line is so steep that we are hesitant to project it out because it would show a Romney landslide. While our sense is that the Romney ascent has begun to slow, it does show a 5-6 point shift that represents this election's clearest and most substantial vote share change.
In Today's Huffington Post.....yes that's right....I said Huffington Post!!!!!
seriously??? You're projecting trend lines?! Try following a website that uses actual statistics. If you had projected a trend line for Obama after the 47% video, it would have probably shown him winning by 30 points. Try looking at the graphs that show that Romney has NEVER been ahead in the electoral college, how about that trend??
I was going to suggest a tissue but after all that you problably need a paper towel.
written by a CEO and an advisor to the 2008 Romney campaign. The so-called "trend line" shows a distinct rise for Romney well before the first debate even though all the numbers were going against him at the time. Talk about chartsmanship!
It is the ongoing case of the GOP/RNC "Political Double Standard." When the GOP/RNC "Bully and Chief?" Goes out of his way to disrespect himself, the debate moderators, and the President. The Tea Begger "Zombies" thought this was just great. The GOP/RNC "Vote Suppressors."Thought that the GOP/RNC "Speculator and Chief" was so Presidential, strong, and commanding of the room. When he was still acting like a spoiled brat! When the GOP/RNC. Was calling the rudness of the GOP/RNC "Romulian and Chief" determined. They thought this was great! Remember America. Polls do not vote. People do! Hey! Hey! Ho! Ho! The Party of NO has got to go!
It is going..................to the Whitehouse! Woooooohoooooooo......
Mitt Romney endorsed President Obama last night.."I agree with everything our President is doing"..! I suspect he's voting for him as well....Obama/Biden 4more..!
4 more years in Chicago!
It's 3:00 AM EST, the phone rings in the White House and President Romney answers it. A faint voice is heard from the receiver. Mitt then answers "Why sure Mr. Jintao, we will send more jobs to China". Do you really want this to happen?
And yet liberals try to say they don't live in fantasyland.
Try paying attention to the REALITY of jobs flowing to China under Obama... oh, and China would never even bother asking Obama.
Liberals, lies and bulsh!t=right out of the obama playbook!!!!! Obama hasn't created any jobs. His EPA czar is putting out a bunch of regulations which will be shutting down coal plants and other businesses. If you think obamacare is gonna cost alot of jobs, these regulations are gost millions of jobs!!!!! Pray obama doesn't get re-elected america. Because there won't be anything left except gov't jobs!!!! The man knows nothing about business and niether do his community czars. All they know about is socialism and taxes to pay for it!!!!!
Bainport is what Robme has in store for all of you.
Romney Ignores Bainport While Trying to Take Back 47% Comments
Obama acts like a 5 year old on the play ground. Maybe he should take his toys and go home. Where ever that is.
Obama (if that is his name) has nothing to offer America. He offered 'hope and change' four years ago and for an America weary of the vacillation and retreating of the Bush Administration, America said: “ Hey let's give AFFIRMATIVE ACTION a shot! “
Then Obama(if that is his name) descended from the 'heavens' surrounded by Greek columns and stage smoke to accept the adoration of the faithful cool ade drinkers and socialists assembled for his coronation.
And you may recall that he and he alone took the stage. No family, no supporters just the ‘anointed one’ floating in on a silver cloud to save the Nation for socialism.
BUT, he failed. He failed at everything he said he would do. OF course any reasonable observer knows that his FAILURE was due to the finagling by Bush and possibly Cheney.
But Obama (if that is his name) forgets that the democats, progressives, socialists whatever you care to label them had complete and total control of the Congress during the first two plus years of the bumblers reign of terror.
In fact many observers were wondering if Obama (if that is his name) might have been the number one terrorist threat to this Nation from time to time.
So the 'hope and change' fairy tale was replaced with the very real 'gloom and doom' scenario brought to us daily by the likes of Carney, Biden, Wasserman, Durbin, Schumer, Waxman, Sheila Jackson Lee, Maxine Waters and their ilk.
Of course we cannot overlook the gaffes which this inexperienced and incompetent former 'community organizer' gave us.
Returned the Churchill bust because he (Obama his real name?) did not like the way Britain treated Kenya during the ‘colonial days', he put his hands on the Queen of England, he spoke during the playing of the National Anthem of Britain, he said "CORPSES" for corps, he nodded with agreement when moochie at an important celebration to honor the sacrifices of Americans mouthed the words ALL OF THIS FOR THE DAMN FLAG?
And who can ever forget those inspirational words she uttered when she was, excuse me, he was a 'candidate' " FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE I AM PROUD OF MY COUNTRY" . We all assumed she meant America but after some reflection we could not say that was the fact.
But now we come down to this: the eviction notice is being prepared to remove these unfit AFFIRMATIVE ACTION recipients from WE THE PEOPLE's home.
Romney/Ryan and a return to greatness for America. A new bright day is just around the corner.
Josh, we want serious discussions not this birther crap. Dont post anything no one wants to hear your wet dream fantasy that obama was really born in Kenya
JohnRN, It's sad that whenever you Obama worshipers have nothing valid to say, you immediately jump to YOUR sexual references !
Why are Obama's college records sealed ? What is he hiding ??
John - "Josh, we want serious discussions not this birther crap"
You must be thrilled with "binders", "mr. coal", and "romnesia" then.
Isn't it obvious what your messiah thinks of you sheep's intelligence level? Who can blame him though?
sad how dems reject bullying, then always ridicule and attack romney. hmmm. disconnect? dems are hostile with a fawning media. anyone (even a community organizer) can follow joint chief of staff's ideas. big deal. and my dog could have said 'go' or 'woof' on bin laden. barry is an egocentric dud whose only high value target is partying at the white house and trying to be a bigger celeb than his moronic hollywood pals. moronesia is his legacy.
And Romney agrees 100%

Obama's doing well with early voters, at least according to one poll that puts him at 59 percent against Romney's 31 percent among those who have already voted.
That poll, from Reuters/Ipsos, has a pretty big "credibility interval" of 10 percentage points for early voters, though Obama still leads above that margin.
So why the focus on early voting? First, because early voting turnout has been high this election, including in battleground states, at least partially because both campaigns are encouraging supporters to take advantage of early voting opportunities. And second, early voters heavily favored Obama and Democrats in 2008, as Slateexplained earlier this month. High early voter turnout is expected to help Team Obama, and, if the Reuters poll is to be believed, for good reason.
Vote early, vote OFTEN .... that's the Demmie strategy ! When it comes to "getting the vote out", a graveyard is NOT an option .... it is an opportunity !!
Easy to vote early when you have nothing to do but watch Springer and wait for your welfare check.
This is probably the best lin of all - 47% is the amount of population that has been added to Medicare/Medicaid and welfare rolls in the last 4 years (of which many are illegals).
Vote early and then you can IGNORE the rest of the political nonsense and relax!
A ridiculous man has nothing but ridicule. Obama has now run out of gas. He has NOTHING ! Bu-bye Barack...
We can only pray. Obama should be the brunt of everyone's ridicule, in fact he is. Only he HAS NO CLASS. Romney has more class than Obama will ever have. Let's not forget who his frineds are: Rev Wright, Bill Ayers, Bernadette Dorn, maybe even Charles Manson - he hangs with thugs, acts like a low-life and let's get rid of him - VOTE NOV 6TH

Tonight's third Presidential debate featured a battle between Obama the Professor-in-Chief vs. Romney the student-who-didn't-do-the-reading. As someone who has ADD, even I had trouble keeping up with many of Governor Romney's non-linear arguments. Indeed, Romney's desperation to hit all of his talking points and critiques at all costs came at the expense of appearing Presidential. Presidents and leaders don't just critique problems they offer specific solutions on how to fix them -- in that regard, Obama handily won.
Romney clearly can memorize the talking points Dan Senor and John Bolton feed him -- hence his obsession with Israel and Iran -- but they all need to look at a map, because last time I checked Iran has a whole ocean border with the Indian Ocean (I'm still not sure how Syria is Iran's path to the sea). Also, a pre-emptive attack on Iran will do nothing but unite the Iranian people with the Ayatollah's for at least another generation -- Obama gets that, Romney scarily does not. The last thing America or the planet needs is an American war with Iran. While Governor Romney clearly wanted to use Israel against President Obama as much as possible, the President's story about visiting the Holocaust memorial and shelled Israeli cities while Romney held fundraisers was one of the most poignant and moving moments of the debate.
In fact, I'd argue too much time was spent on Israel and Iran and not nearly enough on what I think will be the single most important foreign and economic policy development of the 21st century -- the emergence of the Chinese middle class. The day China's middle class can replace the US middle class as consumers is the day China no longer needs to fund our debt. President Obama at least attempted to talk about long-term competitiveness of American labor via improved education standards because we need to be able to make things better and cheaper than everyone else. Sadly, neither man offered up enough specifics on policies that the US could enact to protect the American economy from the loss of China's investment. Now is the time to solve our coming China problem -- not 10-20 years from now when China decides it no longer needs us to buy its goods to keep its economy growing. .
I found it striking that Afghanistan got such little mention (in comparison to Iran and Israel) as we still have just under 100,000 troops in Afghanistan. Once again, neither candidate acknowledged the truth about American involvement in Afghanistan -- that we will remain in combat in Afghanistan potentially until 2024. Governor Romney absolutely incorrectly screwed up when he said we will be finished in Afghanistan in 2014. America signed a treaty to train the Afghan Security Forces till 2024. Combat won't stop simply because we bring home "combat troops" (i.e. the 82nd Airborne, 101st Airborne, etc...). I was an adviser to the Afghan Security Forces, I got shot at on my 13th day in country and many days thereafter and yet I wasn't technically a "combat troop" -- the same will happen to our advisers for the next ten years.
Sadly, the conversation of Pakistan was also too limited. Pakistan is the most dangerous country on the planet (a state sponsor of terrorism, Osama Bin Laden's last sanctuary, and the greatest proliferator of nuclear weapons and material on the planet). The US-Pakistan alliance has essentially collapse over the last decade and yet neither candidate offered specifics on how to fix that relationship. The US must find a way to keep Pakistan from falling apart or Afghanistan and Iraq will look like a cakewalk.
Also, what happened to Europe? Their economy is on the verge of collapsing and could take ours with it -- yet not a single mention during the debate.
I enjoyed the discussion of Syria but I still can't find a difference in either candidate's policy towards the conflict. Indeed, while neither candidate wants to commit the US militarily to Syria, this probably is not possible - esp. if the conflict expands to Turkey and Jordan, our staunchest allies in the Middle East. I had hoped both men would have offered specifics on how to address the growing regional war in the Levant.
I found the limited conversation of US drone attacks frustrating and supremely disappointing. Lethal drone strikes have become the weapon de jure of the war on terror and could actually move people (i.e. the children of the killed) towards terrorism in the future I found President Obama's acknowledgement that we need to move people away from terrorism refreshing, but to do that, we actually need to expand literacy as literacy increases the access to the marketplace of ideas. We need to prevent today's children from becoming tomorrow's terrorists, but to do that, we'll likely have far greater success with words, not drones.
Had I been Mitt Romney's debate coach, I would have had him congratulate President Obama off the bat for getting Bin Laden. Such a move would have come across as magnanimous and would have taken the bite out of President Obama's forceful narrative on what it means to be a President: "When we bring those who have harmed us to justice that sends a message to the world...because that's the kind of clarity of leadership [that a President must make]." Conversely, I would have never have allowed Romney to call himself a son of Detroit who's father ran a car company. Most sons of Detroit and their fathers worked the line and not in the board room. Romney continued to come across as out of touch with the American middle class. A point further exacerbated by the President's criticisms of Romney's business practices that helped send many of those Detroit jobs to China. Indeed, it took three debates, but President Obama finally pointed out that Romney helped pioneer outsourcing to China.
President Obama came across the most Presidential and coherent when he tied the ending of the Iraq war with increased resources for fixing things at home and taking care of our veterans. As a veteran, I applaud the President for taking the time to acknowledge the need to take care of our veterans -- a point Romney did not make once in all three debates.
President Obama continues to be the most culturally in-tune President in modern American history. His use of David Spade throw away line "The 1980's called and want their foreign policy back" was simultaneously hysterical and powerful. Even more poignant were President Obama's statements regarding the changing nature of warfare, especially the "we used to have horses and bayonets" line. President Obama's correctly asserted that warfare changes and evolves to demand new weapons and tactics -- a lesson that sadly many politicians and US government officials never learn. For example, the US military spent billions of dollars on the F-22, an aircraft designed to fight Soviet MiGs but now finds itself unused as we face enemies who fight with IEDs and small unit ambushes. We can no longer afford to learn the lessons of the last war during the first moments of the next one.
Finally, thank God President Obama acknowledged that we all hate campaign ads -- a sentiment with which I'm confident all Americans can agree.
Wow.. you must be 'fun' at parties? How do you feel when you are not in a drug or cool ade induced ethereal state?
Too bad Obama didn't realize bayonets are still being used in the military.....
Perhaps, Obama was too busy appearing on late night TV/ the view, or trumpeting big bird...or making up "funny" names to mock his candidate to realize his error. Then again, he was just trying to be funny so the American people would all love him. Surely, these are the characteristics we should all admire in a President of the U.S.
The real truth about the liar in the whitehouse!!!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7s9StxsFllY
What's really hilarious is how little Obama knows about the military, in particular the use of Bayonets! They're still used by the Marine Corps! In fact, someone should have suggested that Obama go to the Marine Corp website before he made that remark-you'll find they talk about it being the #1 weapon of choice when no weapon can be fired. So, Obama got off a cute line, but now has made himself look foolish with the comment. It was a good for a a laugh at the time, but now the laugh is on Obama, especially on the part of those in the military, in particular the Marine Corp. In fact, Chuck Todd of NBC has a video talking about Bayonets and their use in the Marine Corp...(direct)|utmccn=(direct)|utmcmd=(none)&__utmv=14933801.|8=Earned%20By=msnbc%7Ccover=1^12=Landing%20Content=Mixed=1^13=Landing%20Hostname=www.nbcnews.com=1^30=Visit%20Type%20to%20Content=Earned%20to%20Mixed=1&__utmk=149468726
Regarding the comments by the OP, I think you made some good points-it would have been good to have heard more about a lot of the issues you brought up that were not mentioned or were discussed very little. However, I think perhaps some of that was because of the moderator's questions and some of it was because of the fact that the president seemed to continually want to return to discussions of domestic policy rather than talking about foreign policy as I thought the topic of the debate was supposed to be. (That kept frustrating me-I kept wanting to tell him to get back to foreign policy.) To be fair, Mr. Romney countered the president with his OWN domestic policy discussions. I think perhaps they went for the most "bang for the buck," which was with Israel, Libya, China, etc. I guess that's just how TV politics works-they do need to have people watching, after all; and if it gets too intellectual, people will tune out (sad as that is).
Campaign enters final stretch as Obama takes final debate

The debate over Iran, horses & bayonets
STORY HIGHLIGHTS
(CNN) -- Three debates down. Two weeks of campaigning to go.
President Barack Obama put Republican challenger Mitt Romney on the defensive on foreign policy in the final presidential debate Monday night, with analysts and an immediate poll giving Obama the victory.
With 15 days before the November 6 vote, the candidates now hit the road for the final sprint to Election Day -- focusing on the handful of vital battleground states that could decade the closely contested race.
As a proud-to-have-served combat Marine I can tell you that what obama (and you) does not seem to realize as the arrogant manipulator allowed to sit above it all is that in the most gruesome combat of hand to hand the bayonet (and knife) are the Soldiers' life saver NOT AN AIRCRAFT CARRIER. And you seem to be a nit picking dope, still living on his 'hope'. I'd just like to see the photo of obama bowing to Saudi King - you'd even rationalize THAT one to the world.

The Third Debate: Obama Wins on Style and Substance

President Obama won the foreign policy debate, cleanly and decisively, on both style and substance. It was as clear a victory as Mitt Romney’s in the first debate. And Romney lost in similar fashion: he seemed nervous, scattered, unconvincing — and he practiced unilateral disarmament, agreeing with Obama hither and yon … on Iraq (as opposed to two weeks ago), on Afghanistan (as opposed to interviews he’s given this fall), on Libya and Syria and Iran. He didn’t have a single creative or elegantly stated foreign policy thought and, indeed, seemed foolish at times, using the word peace about as often as George McGovern in 1972 (not that McGovern was foolish, but Romney has run so hot and aggressive on foreign policy that he seemed a sudden convert to transcendental meditation or Yoko Ono’s secret consort). Romney did have some strong moments — but they were, once again, on the domestic economy. And Obama didn’t have a single weak or unconvincing moment.
This was not only a strong debate for Obama, it was a clever one. He mentioned Israel three times as our greatest ally in the region before Romney mentioned it once. It was especially convenient that we are conducting joint military exercises with Israel this week, exercises that had been delayed from last spring at Israel’s request (and after Matt Drudge and other weasels blamed Obama for delaying them at the time). I thought Obama’s “zinger” about Romney favoring the “foreign policy of the ’80s, the social policy of the ’50s and the economic policy of the ’20s” seemed transparently precooked, if true. But the President’s strongest moment — also precooked — came when he noted Romney’s frequent assertion that Americans have the smallest Navy since 1916: “We also have fewer horses and bayonets,” Obama said. “We have these things called aircraft carriers where planes land on them. We have these ships that go underwater, nuclear submarines.” There were some commentators who thought this was too sarcastic or condescending. I didn’t.
The fact is, Romney’s foreign- and national-security policies have been a steaming heap of nonsense from the start. It was telling that Romney didn’t attempt his line about “throwing Israel under the bus” and Obama “wanting to return to 1967 borders” tonight. He did not do that for a reason: because it is a lie. Obama would have come right back at him, saying, “Governor, you know my position is a return to the 1967 borders with mutually agreed-upon land swaps. Why do you insist on misrepresenting me?” (Once again, Obama’s position is not only consistent with that of every American President since Nixon, it is also consistent with the stated position of Benjamin Netanyahu’s government.)
I’ll have more to say about this skein of debates — and about our Israel-centric foreign policy — in my print column in a couple of days, but I did want to mention this: I was flipping around the channels, watching the talking heads afterward and saw Chris Wallace — an estimable journalist, in most cases — do something really Fox News reprehensible. He mentioned that a Marine had tweeted that Obama wasn’t in touch because Marines still use bayonets. True enough, but does Wallace really think that bayonets are nearly as important as they were 100 years ago? They certainly haven’t been in my experience in war zones over the past 30 years.
(MORE: Obama, Romney Spar on Mid East Policy in Final Presidential Debate)
And meanwhile, Romney made the sort of mistake that makes Marines cringe: early on in the debate, he called our troops overseas “soldiers.” That drives Marines up a wall. The Army consists of soldiers. The Marine Corps consists of Marines. Both exist under the umbrella of American troops or forces serving overseas. This distinction has been so noxious to the Army that in recent years, it has capitalized its troops — Soldiers — to match the Marine code. I would guess that Fox News may have gotten a few e-mails about that, unmentioned by Fox.
This may seem petty, but it is part of the other-than-reality-based world of RushFoxland — like the alleged Apology Tour that wasn’t. That world, so far as foreign policy is concerned, came crashing down tonight.

What Obama (if that is his name) won is an all expense paid trip back to Chicago.
That is it.
Eviction notice for him, his beard and her mom on the way as we speak !
Not sure if you ever served but as a proud-to-have-served combat Marine I can tell you that anyone who was part of the ground fighting force (vs Navy/AF) who nit picks ''Soldier vs Marine" is just trivializing those who have risked their life. Soldiers who served (or KIA/wounded) is just as honorable as any Marine and YOU show ignorance to even suggest otherwise. What obama does not seem to realize as the arrogant manipulator allowed to sit above it all is that in the most gruesome combat of hand to hand the bayonet (and knife) are the Soldiers' life saver NOT AN AIRCRAFT CARRIER. And you seem to be a nit picking dope, still living on his 'hope'. I'd just like to see the photo of obama bowing to Saudi King - you'd even rationalize THAT one to the world.
Obama wouldn't know how to use a bayonet if he got tutored. Send him to the Moon - one way!
If you are too pathetic to take care of yourself or your family, you can always vote democratic and have your elected officials seize money and assets from your more industrious fellow citizens to take care of your parasitic hides. The democratic party is the party of whiners and losers who need someone to wipe noses with government tissue.
Wow Jim -
How is everything in your cave? Cause that is where you must be living - since you don't depend on anything from the Government Federal or Local like water, sewage, fire, police, roads, energy needs and obviously education.
I sure that you will turn down Social Security and Medicare when you become of age if you haven't already. Big bad government - all they want is your money.
Lets not forget how Mittens "balanced the budget" of the Olympics with a huge government bailout. Huge black eye for Salt Lake and the corrupt cultists that live there.
For the life of me, I can't see how all of you think Obama is doing a good job. Just today DuPont laid off 15000, last week Sea Ray (maker of boats) that's been in business more than 40 years, just closed down.. Within the last month alone, 4 other large companies have let people go. That is not what I call moving Forward. I have been through 16 Presidents, and always though Carter was the worst. Guess I have to change my opinion on that. (I have voted both Dem and Rep). Over the past four years I have watched this great nation fall from Grace. So sad.
As far as Obama better in Foreign Polices?.....First think back to Obamas job,(if you call that a real job). He had no clue and still doesn't. Second I don't like the President of the United States bowing down to Foreign counties, and bad mouthing America. America bows down to no one. Also what other sneaky things is he doing behind Americas back? Remember the "off mike" comment he made to Putin.
If you want four more years of unemployment, higher decifit, the world on the brink of war, by all means vote for Obama. A remard made by someone I greatly admire said "If you want a loaf of bread, you don't got to the baker that keeps burning it, you try a different baker."

Good Luck......
After the third debate it became clear that the PResident had borrrowed his debate strategy from Muhammmad ALI - lay on the ropes in the early rounds, then land enough jabs to stay in the fight in the midddle rounds - and then schoool the other guy in the finale. Mittt looked like he'd beeen slappped sillly by the end of the third debate.

OUR EDITOR RECOMMENDS
Obama vs. Romney: Final Presidential Debate (Live Blog)
The president, who defended his administration's diplomatic policies in the Middle East while smacking Mitt Romney for being "all over the map" in his positions on war and peace, was named the victor by 53 percent of the 521 respondents in the poll of undecided voters. Romney was ruled the winner by 23 percent, while 24 percent said it was a tie. The margin of error was four percent.
In CNN's poll of all registered voters -- committed or otherwise -- Obama was given the win by 48 percent, while Romney took 40 percent.
rick-200,
A survey by CBS? Lemme see - CBS kinda leans toward the democrats now doesn't it.
I'll bet that if you took the exact same survey but done by FOX you would get Romney winning by a landslide.
The news organizations nolonger report news, they only report their party affiliations.
Wow, a wonderfully impartial poll taken by the most even handed network in the country....NOT!!! Change is comming, very soon, CBS notwithstanding...just another voice....
This sounds like the groups that gave Obama a 10 point lead in the election polls too. Ask 10 democrats who won the first one and they will Say Obama did. It is all propaganda, in the end. I vote on substance, not feelings.
Poll: Sizeable win for Obama in final presidential debate
October 22, 2012 8:08 PM
In a poll of 521 uncommitted voters conducted immediately after the final presidential debate, 53% of these said President Obama was the winner, 23% think Romney won, another 24% feel the debate was a tie.
thanks , RIck. I thought ROmney loooked a bit desperate and deranged at times. And since we're voting a MAN into the office - not a computer program, that mattters to voters. THere are rational and non-rational factors at play in Democracy. At this point it seeems that the race is back where it was before the first debate.
Obama will always win, when glitter and glam, are the issues. On facts, and substance, then he looses every time. So far giltter has not helped get people working again.
