Israeli Mossad "Romney is Mortally Destroying any chance of a resolution without war"

The Almonitor Middle East Newspaper interviewed Efraim Halevy who was chief of the Israeli intelligence service, Mossad.

The paper reports that Halevy is very respected man who served under 3 Israeli Prime Ministers and led the secret negotiations with Jordan’s King Hussein that made way for Israel’s historic 1994 peace treaty
with that country.

In the interview, it becomes clear that Halvey thinks Romney is a liar.

Al-Monitor: Many observers believe there is a nuclear deal to be had. But it's very hard to do,
to even talk to them. Do you think it's possible to narrow the huge gulf between the two sides?

Halvey: ...Negotiating with Iran is perceived as a sign of beginning to forsake Israel. That is where I think the basic difference is between Romney and Obama. What Romney is doing is mortally destroying any chance of a resolution without war. Therefore when [he recently] said, he doesn’t think there should be a war with Iran, this does not ring true. It is not consistent with other things he has said. […]

Halvey: Obama does think there is still room for negotiations. It’s a very courageous thing to say in this atmosphere.

In the end, this is what I think: Making foreign policy on Iran a serious issue in the US elections
— what Romney has done, in itself — is a heavy blow to the ultimate interests of the United States and Israel.

Al-Monitor: Beyond the heated US campaign rhetoric, what do you make of the wider perception that, even though Obama has actually used force quite a bit, and successfully oversaw the operation that killed Osama bin Laden, that he is perceived, or mis-perceived, as not wanting to use force, and the US is seen therefore as
weak.

Halevy: I think nobody who has been involved in ordering the use of force can forget the angst, the days and nights of concern, as to what and how it can be done.

Romney has said, Anybody could have decided to finish bin Laden. Even [Jimmy] Carter. This again was a mistaken concept. President Obama didn’t just decide [one day to kill bin Laden]. The operation to end the life
of bin Laden necessitated multiple points of decision by him. I know from operations I have been involved with on a smaller scale.

They are very intricate. You don’t just give the order and wait in your office for commanders to come three months later and say it’s done. No. This kind of operation, which is accident prone, hands on operation,
one has to make one decision after the other […] It took courage and cool headedness and leadership. Anyone who says it was an easy thing to decide,doesn’t understand what he’s talking about. [Such comments] show a total lack of understanding of what this kind of operation means.

Once I was in charge of an operation and Netanyahu was Prime Minister. One day, because of the intricacy of what we were doing, I talked to him 10 times on the phone […] Ten times. It was a Friday, a day I will not
forget.

This kind of operation, every minute, an issue comes up, that sometimes requires a decision on the political level.

1) President Obama's sane, measured responses to issues in the Moslem world work against their efforts to stir up trouble and portray the U.S. as the "great Satan". They see Mitt Romney as a knee jerk President, like Bush, that will over-react, to any terrorist attack, which is exactly what they are after.

2) President Obama has successfully and systematically targeted their leadership. Islamic terrorists were safer under a Republican administration. Obama has surgically eliminated most of the AlQaida hierarchy.

3) Mitt Romney will say and do anything for Israeli support. Even turn the other way to Muslim targeted hate speech and call movies that demonize Muslim religious figures as pedophiles, as acceptable vehicles for "free speech" ,without condemnation. This plays into the hands of those wishing to whip the peaceful Muslim majority into a frenzied mob. Romney sees no US action as needing an apology. Obama understands that Abu Ghraib, cluster bombing civilians, and missed targets are offensive to all world citizens.

4) Republican presidents invade, attack, destroy and rebuild the entire Muslim infrastructure in whole countries. Iraq and Afghanistan were rebuilt with US taxpayer dollars instead of using targetted and much cheaper methods to destroy terrorist bases. Having foreign troops on Muslim soil is a huge boost to Muslim terrorists as they seek to portray the US as Christian invaders. Obama uses surgical strikes and has pledged to withdraw our troops.

5) Romney's energy policy will continue to make the Muslim world rich and wealthy, causing a flow of dollars from democratic governments to Muslim monarchies, which, once overthrown, can put the money in the control of the terrorists elements. Bush/Romney's support of Saudi princes is preferred over Obama's support of Arab democracy, only if you're looking to overthrow a government monarch.

6) The availability of weapons is easier to come by in countries that are invaded by Republican presidents. The fog of war creates many opportunities for terrorists to obtain weapons that would normally not be available to them. The US military leaves behind much that can be used again. Republican administrations have been more than willing to negotiate deals with Iran, Iraq, and other unstable or despotic regimes in the past, just to further weapons sales. Reagan and George Schultz sold weapons, including stinger missiles that were used against our own aircraft, to Usama bin Laden in the 80s.

7) Romney will bring the war to the Middle East, rather than the terrorists having to try to hit U.S. targets. Republican presidents have ignored Presidential Daily Briefings that forewarned terrorist attacks against the U.S. In response, GOP presidents have decided to attack, destroy, and then rebuild countries that haven't attacked the U.S. with US taxpayer dollars, and GOP presidents have protected the hotbeds of Islamic terrorism, wealthy Arab countries that have produced the leadership for Islamic terrorist organizations, such as Al Qaida.

8) Islamic militants see Romney as a weaker president, someone they can dupe into making mistakes, miscalculations, and remarks that inflame the Muslim world to accept their point of view, that the U.S. wants to dominate and control them, and force western lifestyles on the Muslim world. Romney's remarks about the Israeli vs. Arab economies is just the right amount of racism and condescension that Islamic militants need to boost anti US sentiments. Throw in the Chicago dirty bomb comment, and anyone can see that Romney is a waffling idiot.

9) Islamic militants and terrorists see Romney as one who would weaken the US economy with trickle down economics. For terrorists, a weaker US is a better foe. Trickle down has never worked because even Romney invests his vast wealth in foreign, rather than US companies, and because it is a flawed economic policy anyway.

10) Romney has been critical of the Arab Spring uprisings. He's happier maintaining the Muslim dictators that the general Muslim public deplores. To that end, he helps the terrorist cause and drives Muslims to extremism to rid themselves of these dictators, while at the same time feeding into the idea that the US is the "great Satan", helping to keep the average Muslim family subservient to their dictators and monarchies. insurance, Romney wants you to use the EMERGENCY ROOM as your primary

Romney said charities will pay
your bills.... folks, there are not enough charities in this country to take

If you do have insurance, under
Romney's plan, after he repeals Obamacare, insurance companies will once again
be allowed to place caps on your treatment... A Romney healthcare plan will
leave you on your own once the cap is met!

SO BOTTOM LINE....A Romney healthcare
plan.... if you do have insurance and need hospital care for a serious illness
you'll be met with overcrowded ER's with a staff who is overworked... you
certainly won't get the care Ann Romney gets!

If you do not have insurance, yes

I think a little refresher course in history just may be in order to help all of you make a wise decision on whom to vote for in the coming election!

So, I’ve compiled some very revealing facts about the Republican Party since Ronald Reagan took the oath, and all of you should take these into consideration when making up your minds on whom to vote for.

Once you have enlightened yourselves, then ask yourself, why in the world would you vote for a party that is hell bent on destroying us?

The lunacy in the GOP started with the Reagan Era, and the GOP would like nothing more, than for all of us to forget their three previous administrations, because all three were filled with nothing but failed policies. And, they know that if the majority of our citizens knew how bad and harmful their policies have been to our country and economy that their chances of ever winning another election would be next too impossible.

Does this sound familiar? "Government is the problem, and Government is Bad.”

From early in Reagan’s presidency’s he started the corrosive distrust of the people’s government and made it a permanent fixture of American politics.

Did you know that Reagan could be considered the Father of the GOP’s fiscal irresponsibility?

Did you know that Reagan was forced to raise taxes at least twice, to avert a financial catastrophe?

Did you know that Reagan caused the national debt to skyrocket during his two terms?

Did you know that Reagan tripled the national debt by the end of his two terms?

Did you know that Reagan’s fiscal irresponsibility equal the entire debt burden produced by the previous 200 years of American history?

In other words, Reagan produced red ink as far as the eye could see!

And, even with the election of George H. Bush, it didn’t stem the flow of red ink.

George H. Bush created a little more than 4 trillion in debt during his presidency.

George H. Bush had to break his famously “read my lips, no new taxes” quote to address the cascading budget shortfalls, and his very own party turned on him, and which probably cost him reelection.

Only with the election of Bill Clinton did the hemorrhaging stop. At the end of Clinton’s presidency no amount of national debt could be attributed to Clinton. Through his policies of higher taxes and reduced spending helped bring about the strongest economy since WWII, and when he left office the CBO had forecasted that if his policies were continued that 5.6 trillion dollar surplus would accrue over the next 10 years.

Then we elected another fiscally irresponsible Republican, and almost from the beginning of George W. Bush presidency he began squandering away the forecasted 5. 6 trillion dollar surplus, because of his 1.4 trillion dollar tax cuts in 2001. George W. Bush.’s second round of tax cuts in 2003 accounted for the doubling of the national debt.

Then you add in 2 unfunded wars, 1 unfunded Prescription Drug Mandate, and his American Dream Downpayment Act, and all of this adds up to is, he took a forecasted 5.6 trillion dollar surplus and turned it into and 11.9 trillion dollar debt! And, it’s all easily verifiable by going to Treasurydirect.gov. And doing the math!

Now, when you read the last portion of this posting keep in mind the first part, because you’ll most definitely see a pattern!

1)Their self-fulfilling prophecy of bad government under Republican leadership, as the Bush recessions of 1991 and 2007, the Hurricane Katrina response, the Iraq catastrophe and the transfer of federal oversight powers to the industries being regulated all showed.

2) And, when the backlash from the American people inevitably comes as it did in 1992 and 2008, attack the very legitimacy of the new Democratic president they elected.

3) Then they turn to the filibuster and other obstructionists’ tactics to block the Democratic agenda, inaction for which the incumbent majority will be blamed.

4) They target the institutions and programs (Social Security, Medicare, the IRS) which form the underpinnings of progressive government.

5) They are smart enough to know that their plan cannot be fully implemented in just a few of their presidencies, and it will take a longer period of time.

6) And, all they do to get ready for the next cycle is, simply lather, rinse and repeat the procedure.

7) This has been the GOP’s Recipe for Successfully Changing America Into the Country of Haves and Have Nots!

Now, remember #2, 3, and 4 above!

From the onset of President Obama’s presidency the GOP has made it very clear that they had no intentions of working with him, even though they had no idea of his plans at the time.

Mitch McConnell said, that their only goal was to make sure that Mr. Obama was a one term President.

The GOP has been on a witch hunt ever since President Obama took office.

Through the GOP’s underhanded tactics have caused this country to have to endure 4 extra years of depression/recession.

The GOP has jeopardized our children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren’s futures by their underhanded tactics.

Then they try and lay blame on President Obama for their contrived fiscal irresponsibilities.

We elected Mr. Obama to try and right the wrongs of the fiscally irresponsible borrow and spend republicans, and as you can see all they’ve done throughout his presidency is to try and keep the country in a depression/recession and by doing so, has kept the public in a despondent mood, and just to get you to once again be fooled into voting for their fiscally irresponsible candidates!

Don’t get fooled again!

The Republicans have done everything under the sun to destroy our economy.

And, here is the kicker, just to bring about their version of Capitalism!

This upcoming election boils down to whether we want. . . .

The Right’s version of capitalism, a laissez-faire type of capitalism, whereas. . . .

Capitalism is characterized by free market fundamentalism, where consumers, workers, and families are left on their own, and businesses do whatever they want, with little or no role for government.

Or, do we want the Left’s version of capitalism where society sets the rules and standards of commerce, regarding matters like protecting consumers, employees and the environment from irresponsible business practices, such as excessive pollution, risky oil drilling, predatory and reckless bank lending, unsafe workplaces, food, medicine, cars, and airplanes, minimum wages, and discrimination by race and gender.

It’s as simple as that!

Now, if you want to be a party to their lunacy, then vote for Romney/Ryan to further the destruction of your country!

Or,

If you want to stop this lunacy, then vote for Obama/Biden to resurrect the Middle Class and save your country!

Have you ever heard the saying “Strange Bedfellows?” What it basically means is, that two opposing groups have joined forces, and become allies. And, this is exactly what has happened in the GOP. What the polls seem to be unanimously confirming is that if Republicans turn out in a much larger percentage than Democrats, Romney's chances are excellent. But with Obama holding a 5% lead among registered voters in both NBC and CBS polls, it is clear that if Democrats get out the vote in the close states, Obama wins. Frankly, in this environment and with our screwed up electoral system, turnout doesn't matter in California, New York, Texas, Alabama, or Oklahoma. In states like that, turnout percentages will only affect congressional races.

In other words, the Obama campaign controls its own destiny. Obama is well up among all registered voters. If in the six most crucial states, his campaign gets out 65 to 70% of the Democratic vote, Obama wins. And there is nothing the GOP can do about that.
