SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan is “shocked and saddened” by the shooting in his home state of Wisconsin that took place Sunday just two months after another mass shooting in the state.
“Janna and I were shocked and saddened by the news from Brookfield today. As our community continues to heal from August’s tragic violence, our thoughts and prayers are with today’s victims and their loved ones,” Ryan said in a statement.

“Our gratitude also goes to the first responders who rushed to save lives and secure the scene. We will not allow the evil responsible for this heartbreaking event to triumph over the spirit of the people of Wisconsin. I ask all Americans to keep those affected by this event in their hearts, minds, and prayers today,” he said.
At least seven people were shot and three of them killed this morning at the Azana Spa across the street from the Brookfield Square mall, according to police.
Brookfield is in the 5th District, which Republican Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner represents.
In early August -- the week Mitt Romney tapped Ryan as his running mate -- a shooting in Oak Creek, Wis. rattled Ryan's district. Romney delayed announcing his running mate so that Ryan could attend funeral services for the seven killed at the Sikh temple outside of Milwaukee.

Please specify why you feel they are lies when Obama did, in fact go to a fundraiser in Vegas instead of responding to the call when it came in, proceded to blame the attack on a little-known utube video even after the Libyan leader called and said it was a pre-planned, terrorist attack, and continued to lie about it for over a week - even after it was learned that his administration had refused to increase his security or evacuate him.
I really would like to know where you get these delusions from so that I can avoid the source.

Bush accepted responsibility for it even though many of the events leading up to the attack on the twin towers occured during Clinton's time in office.
Hind sight is always 20/20, but much of the intel was unclear as to what was being targeted at the time - especially as our intelligence assets had been severely reduced under Clinton, who also accepted responsibility for what he did wrong in the time leading up to 9/11 as revealed by the commission to delve into the issue.
Why can't Obama accept responsibility for his mistakes?
In fact, much of the Islamist justification driving the "blowback" that was 9/11 is traceable continuously back through the Eisenhower administration when the CIA overthrew Mossadegh and installed the Shah. Sadly, many Americans with no sense of history think that 9/11 sprung from the world like some disconnected, random nightmare...yet our CIA has known it was overdue for decades.
John Doe-2241225 seems to have forgotten 1) that the House Republicans slashed the State departments security budget 2) that the Republicans were responsible for ignoring the warnings that 9/11 would happen.
Now -- both parties are responsible for the accepting money from the NRA and doing nothing about controlling the proliferation of guns. We ARE the third world and have a third world mentality.

It is truly amazing how the liberals follow the LIES from Obama about Romney, Ryan, Bush, Chaney, GOP and everyone except the Democrats. The Dem's have had control over the government for over 45 of the past 60 years and ASSUME NO RESPONSIBILITY AT ALL. Something is terribly wrong and blind sighted here. President Obama has spent the last four years working hard towards getting this Country back on track. He definitely has made many positive changes that have steered us in the right direction. Yes, of course more changes need to be made but he's done a great job considering what he started with. It's going to take time to unravel the mess. Whether you want to believe it or not, President Obama genuinely cares about this Country and is willing to continue to try his hardest to keep it going to make it a better place for all of us. Why do people choose to ignore the good that he's done and instead choose to be so negative and calluse? It's tough to figure out human nature and what makes some people react in the cruel ways that they do...lots of cold hearted people out there. These two other guys:Romney and Ryan come along, who promise the world to the American people like two salesman knocking at the door. They display no consistency in how they are going to do it, but make all of these promises of change because they know exactly what it takes to do it. They have it all figuered out but have never been in the position to do it before...really don't have a clue. At this point, it's all talk for them. When it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. As time goes by, these guys keep changing their minds which is a real good indication that they really DO NOT know what they are doing. They don't stick to their own decisions or plan. Mitt Romney is a self made billionaire. How many toes has he stepped on to get to where he is today? How many people has he skrewed over to get there? Honestly, what kind of person is he deep down inside? I would bet that he puts himself first... it's all about himself...me, me, me! Mitt has all the money that he could ever want, now he's looking for more power. So he decides that he wants to be the President of the United States....wants that title. I cannot believe that anyone could take the gamble that these two guys are really who they portray to be. I do NOT trust them what so ever. Romney comes on as though he's God Almighty...just listen to him. It's amazing. Seeing that our Country is making actual progress, and there are facts to back that up, why would we even consider taking the chance of making a bad decision right now? Casting your vote to Romney and Ryan is a crap shoot, where Obama and Biden have shown that they are a for sure thing. They have been surely plugging away and are trying to keep the momentum going. American people really need to have patience. Our economy is going to take time to straighten out... we see that it is improving, so why bail on those who have turned it in this direction. We are much better off today than we were four years ago, be honest with yourselves. Change could very possibly make things much worse than what they are today...big gamble with high stakes.

This is not the first such shooting in your state, and you've done NOTHING to prevent this kind of thing from happening a second, third, or fourth time. I'm surprised that Ryan didn't hold a press conference within hours after the tragedy, accuse the Governor of a coverup and then mount a compaign of lies about what "really" happened. If the Governor of Wisconsin had been a Democrat Ryan very well might have made the typical Repubulican response of blaming and lying. It would be move in line with Romney's lying response to Benghazi.
Any issues arising in the middle east will be used by Romney to score a point!

Shocked and saddened? I will give him the sad part but shocked. Why would anyone be shocked by gun violence when we have enough guns in the hands of people in this nation of ours to outfit the armies of most countries. He prayed for the families. Our nation stands mute in Wisconsin as they do elsewhere...police, FBI profilers, ER trauma teams & reporters are on O/T yet we dare not speak about stronger gun laws. Rep. Ryan's condolences and prayers for the bereaved do NOTHING to change policy. It is a non-existent policy which contradicts Republican claims of an over-reaching federal government. We continue to be impotent to protect ourselves at home because of this national disgrace.
