Republicans said momentum is on Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney's side as a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll showed Romney drawing even with President Barack Obama.
Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., analyzes the state of the presidential race in the swing state of Florida.
As the 2012 election enters its home stretch — 16 days and one final presidential debate remain before Election Day — Obama and Romney were tied at 47 percent among likely voters nationwide.
"I like what I see, because the trend is in our direction," said Ohio Sen. Rob Portman, a top surrogate for the Romney campaign. "The enthusiasm and energy are on our side."
Sen. Rob Portman discusses Republican nominee Mitt Romney's platform for foreign policy and the economy.
NBC/WSJ poll: Presidential contest now tied
Romney has closed the gap versus Obama in a series of national and battleground state polls released since the first presidential debate earlier this month, when the Republican presidential nominee was generally acknowledged to have bested the president. The momentum for Romney has spurred Republican optimism that they may be able to defeat Obama, who's led his Republican challenger in most polls throughout the year.
"We feel good about where we are. We feel we're even or ahead in these battleground states," said senior Obama campaign adviser David Axelrod about the new poll numbers.
As Obama and Romney prepare for the debate on foreign policy Monday night in Florida, new polls emerge showing the candidates are in a 47-47 percent tie among likely voters. NBC's Chuck Todd reports.
RELATED: Obama and Romney each emphasize early voting
The Romney resurgence must play out in a series of crucial battleground states — Florida, Ohio and Virginia, in particular — if the Republican challenger is to subsume Obama on Nov. 6.
"We like the way Florida's going," said Florida Sen. Marco Rubio (R) of the movement in Romney's direction. "We've always predicted it would go this way."
Both Obama and Romney have barnstormed these battleground states in recent weeks, encouraging supporters to vote early and trying to persuade a winnowing sliver of undecided voters.
Each campaign had evidence for optimism as of Sunday. Republicans circulated an editorial from the Columbus Dispatch of Ohio, which called the president "unsuited to a second term." Axelrod pointed to state-level polls — including the NBC/WSJ/Marist polls this Thursday, which showed Obama leading by eight points in Iowa and six in Wisconsin — as evidence of the president's Electoral College firewall.
NBC/WSJ/Marist polls: Obama holds lead in Iowa and Wisconsin
The candidates will get their next opportunity to shake up those poll numbers on Monday evening, when they meet for their third and final debate of the election. That debate, which will be hosted at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Fla., is supposed to focus primarily on issues of foreign policy.
Obama and Romney have sparred most intensely on the topic of how the president and his administration have managed the Sept. 11, 2012 attack on a U.S. diplomatic outpost in Benghazi, Libya, which resulted in the deaths of four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens.
Axelrod unleashed a harsh attack on Romney, accusing the GOP nominee of "disgraceful" behavior for releasing a statement shortly after the events in Benghazi, which essentially accused the administration of sympathizing with the attackers, and apologizing for American values.
"There's only one candidate here who's tried to exploit it from the beginning," Axelrod said. "Even while the flames were burning in Benghazi, Mitt Romney was sending out political press releases."
The Republican nominee has latched onto the administration's shifting explanations for the attack to make the case that Obama was essentially caught off-guard by the attacks. The administration at first said the attacks were the spontaneous outgrowth of protests related to a controversial video, but has shifted to acknowledge the attack in Libya was coordinated by terrorists.
Romney has also argued the administration has been insufficiently tough toward Iran's nuclear program, an assertion that might be colored by a new New York Times report that the administration and the Iranian government had agreed to one-on-one negotiations after the election. The administration called the report untrue, and both Portman and Rubio declined to hit Obama on that basis.
But, in anticipation of tomorrow's debate, Portman said: "I think what you're going to see is Gov. Romney lay out a clear agenda for how to get Iran to do the right thing."
"They're feeling the heat, and that's what the sanctions were meant to do," Axelrod said in defense of the administration's handling of Iran. The Obama campaign adviser also ridiculed Romney's foreign trip this past summer as a "Dukes of Hazzard tour of international destinations."
The Obama campaign has also sought to reignite a battle over women's issues in the last week to bolster the president's advantage among women voters. Obama led Romney, 51 to 43 percent, among women in the new NBC/WSJ data, but that was a narrower advantage for Obama than in past editions of the poll.
The president's campaign has sought to remind voters of Romney's promises to eliminate funding for Planned Parenthood, or his promises during primary season to sign legislation to curb access to abortion, should it cross his desk. The Obama campaign also seized on Romney's remarks during last Tuesday's debate that he had "binders full of women" prepared for him as governor to help increase gender diversity in his office.
Rubio argued those attacks masked a bereft second-term agenda from Obama, and that Romney had begun to close the gender gap by focusing on issues of jobs and the economy.
"You just read a poll that the gender gap is narrowing," Rubio said. "The reason why is because Barack Obama is not offering anything."

Only in Conservativille, are the skies plaid, it rains fairy dust & unicorns graze freely!
This race has always been expected to be close because 50% of this country had never been able to put their hatred aside...
Tell me one time in history when a sitting President has EVER been subjected to what this man has!
Did anyone question Duyba's birth certificate?
Hell, 30+ percent of the bigots still believe his is Muslim!
Good always triumphs over evil and will do so once again on 11.6.12!
Obama/Biden KEEP MOVING THIS COUNTRY FORWARF!
That's crazzzzzy.
Republicans circulated an editorial from the Columbus Dispatch of Ohio, which called the president "unsuited to a second term."
That's crazzzzzy.
the title goes like .'RepubliCONs say..', then you would know why 'momentum is on Romney's side.' If we didn't listen to them to repeal the Glass Steagall, we would never have had the recession.
.
They over-polled all the red(neck) states to get this data?
Denial won't change the facts, your boy is losing! The only contest left of any import is Ohio. BTW, great point, Feisty... Forwarf!
If you liked "W" you're gonna LOVE Willard, who cannot wait imploment the same failed policies let led us into the financial crisis!
Let's not forget Lyin Ryan a disciple of Ayn Rand!
Folks, it's 2012... NOT 1955!!!
Wall Street Journal did these polls, well...that explains it. Wall Street never gets it right! If Wall Street has got it right, we would have never had this recession in the first place.
.
This is how Wall Street works - $1 million for me, nothing for you.
.
What's even more disturbing is that President Obama made so many concessions to guarantee profits to Wall Street and didn't go far enough in pushing Wall Street to take responsibility for the whole recession mess, but what the President has got in return? An ungrateful Wall Street.
Willard was running his mouth off before the bodies were even cold!
Do we need MORE cowboy diplomacy?
How many more Americans must die based on deceit before the blood lust from RWNJ's is satisfied?
Obama will be giving his concession speech in just 16 days! I can’t wait for Nov 6th!
Romney/Ryan 2012
We, as a country, had to suffer through the Carter years to get a Reagan.
We’ve suffered through the Obama years to get a Romney.
Romney/Ryan 2012!
My thanks to the people coming over to the Romney / Ryan team.
No other team has had such nasty attacks and lies told about them.
Obama/Biden KEEP MOVING THIS COUNTRY FORWARF! just like Fiesty said...
Romney / Ryan will make this country progress with jobs and a lower deficit!
Romney / Ryan 2012 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's nice to see that all Jodys aren't LWNJs like the one from Iowa.
The “Romney Tsunami” is surging through the heartland of America.

Times are desperate in Obamaland...Feisty is working Sunday morning, must be on overtime pay...
Still predicting Obama will win Virginia, Feisty? Or have you retreated to the Midwest "firewall"?
Is this because - Mitt has all those binders full of women to boost his numbers? Is this the one area where a Mormon has his strength?
Is it any wonder the RWNJ's are so giddy?
Ohio voters, pay very close attention, vote by paper ballot and then take a picture of it with your cell phone!
These cheating bastards are up to their dirty tricks again;
Eric Holder needs to get involved NOW!
Republican effort to disenfranchise Democratic voters has largely failed, and voters are ready to show up to re-elect President Obama. This is a victory of justice over GOP conspiracy - here is a recent report:
..........A series of rulings has blocked or weakened the laws as judges stopped measures that threatened to bar legally registered voters from polling places in the November election.
.........."Courts see their role as the protectors of the core right to vote," said Ned Foley, an election law expert at Ohio State University.
..........The laws were the product of a Republican sweep in the 2010 election. The GOP took full control in such states as Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Florida, and soon adopted
changes in their election laws.
.
WOW...how can anyone still try to disenfranchise people just because they are poor and minority and don't have cars to drive and thus don't have driver's licence.
FORWARD...

I am still waiting on what the secret talks that Obama and his people had with Iran right after he took office.
This just came out in the news this weekend. Iran does not even want to continue talks until after the election.
What the heck did Mr. President Obama promise or tell Iran?
Where is all of that transparency Mr. President Obama promised?
ROMNEY/RYAN 2012
Sensata 2012 ... moving America the Bain/Romney way.
How strange!
Those who were pissing themselves over 'skewed" polling only two weeks ago, are the very same ones singing praises today!
Make up your mind people - were they skewed then or are they skewed now... lemmings? lmao
One of the reasons I despised "W" so much were his drunken sailor spending habits. Whats the difference between "W" and Obama anyway? Both Liberal, big government war mongers that answer to the SAME handlers.

Fool's Gold,
I believe it's you Tea Necks in denial. You've tried voter suppression, lies. racism, wars om women, and politicizing Benghazi; despite the families asking you not too. But none of it will work in the end. Why? It's all bullsh!t
About that Gallup poll: Is Romney really up by 7? And will Obama win the election anyway?
According to Real Clear Politics, Mitt Romney is, on average, up by one point in the polls. According to both Nate Silver and InTrade, President Obama has a better-than-60-percent chance of winning the election. I think it's fair to say that the election is, for the moment, close.
But not according to Gallup. Their seven-day tracking poll shows Romney up by seven points — yes, seven — with likely voters. But he's only up by one point with registered voters.
It gets weirder: Dig into the poll, and you'll find that in the most recent internals they've put on their Web site — which track from 10/9-10/15 — Obama is winning the West (+6), the East (+4), and the Midwest (+4). The only region he's losing is the South. But he's losing the South, among likely voters, by 22 points. That's enough, in Gallup's poll, for him to be behind in the national vote. But it's hard to see how that puts him behind in the electoral college.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/ezra-klein/wp/2012/10/19/about-that-gallup-poll-is-romney-really-up-by-7-and-will-obama-win-the-election-anyway/
The FiveThirtyEight forecast is unchanged for Saturday, with President Obama maintaining a 67.9 percent chance of winning the Electoral College.

Oh wait....if Romney gets in, you ain't seen nothing yet regarding an increase in military spending. How do you think Romney is gonna fulfill his promise of 14 million new jobs. With all that spending, whom do you think is gonna pay for it?
Yep Feisty is right.
50% of the population hates what's happening.
Huge debts and deficits, huge unemployment, huge energy and grocery prices - all suck.
Obama's complete lack of a second term agenda, and his belief that the sacking of an embassy and murder of 4 Americans is "not optimal" is absolutely ridiculous.
Oh and to have the sitting Pres. act like a 2nd grader and call Mitt Names is just childish and stupid.
Come on Libbies - it's over. But please what ever you all do, kep it up, keep running up that hill.
I love the amusement.
I cant wait to listen to his concession speech, I wonder who will he be blaming this time? Probably the likes of feisty and pigotry, he will say the liberals didnt do enough, didnt volunteer enough hrs, I also heard a few kept their birthday money...
FYI libbies - all this 'lying ryan' 'Romnesia' and of course the old 'binders full of women' and the like IS NOT WORKING.
So, what else you all got?
Oh, I see. Other than silly name calling you actually have nothing.
My, that's just sad.
This is a call for us to state our case, that's all.
Mitt is majority shareholder in Bain, hardly a "blind trust." Bain is still firing Americans (last day of work for some: early November) and giving those jobs to Chinese. These are good jobs, and products that were made well in America. The only "Chinese" stock held by Pres. Obama was from a state pension fund when he was a state Senator, and he has no control over that. I won't believe Mitt's stand against China until he DUMPS all his Bain stock.
And Rep. Walsh says that pregnancy has never killed a woman? Come on, the pledge to support the Ryan-Akin bill that attacks women's health has been signed by all the Republicans. This is the Taliban in America; and if you think that an attack on women is "good" for America's economy, just who is going to do all the work? At best, it is an insult to all the mothers in America. Helping women to not work will not help the economy.
Please consider voting very carefully; consider that we can't afford a Republican Congress, Senate, or President.
The "teabaggers," never good at math can say what they want. The numbers do not support it.
Wait....wait to see Romney/Ryan's economic plans.....changes to tax deductions for the American taxpayer, no specifics, changes to medicare, changes to Social Security, increase in military spending for the Military Corporate Complex(maybe that's where all those jobs he's promised will come from,) increase in spending for Nasa, cuts to Pell grants...... On social issues, kiss Roe vs Wade away, when Romney appoints ultra conservative Judges to the Supreme Court. Anything else to appease the TEA PARTY and their leaders, THE KOCH BROTHERS. Romney really believes the Democrats will cooperate with his agenda, all the while knowing Republicans were more concerned with making Obama a one term President, obstructed every move and hardly anything was accomplished, at the expense of the American people. Even GW Bush had the Blue Dog Democrats, these Republicans have Grover Norcross.....The Koch Brothers, Religious fanatics, et al!!

Obama/Biden 2012
Yeah, whatever....momentum......
Romney got knocked down by Obama the last debate. He will again in this debate.
This is all about getting out the vote, and Obama has spent 3 times the amount Romney has in the ground game.
It took 6.5 years for Bush-GOP Tsunami to completely obliterate this country, including wiping away everyone's 401ks, stock portfolios, and leaving us awash in massive pile of junk debt. Reconstruction from that tidal disaster started when we elected Obama. If Romney and his merry bank of TPGOP goons are elected, the only question will be - Will it take Romney's Tsunami 6.5 years to completely destroy the global economy, or will he be much more efficient and manage the utter destruction in under 4 years.
One final note on the Romney Tsunami surging through the Heartland - it seems the drought wasn't enough. Now they are intent on being laid to waste by an even bigger political/environmental disaster.
And NEITHER is Romney - let's be honest for once now here, folks. In fact, nothing except more senseless wars, and misery for us economically from these trillion dollar "liberation and democracy across the globe" jaunts and misery for the families of the troops who will have to fight them.
NO THANKS. PASS.
National polls all said the same sh*t ("Dead Heat") right before the election of 2008; a day before the final results of Obama (53%) vs. Mccain (46%). National Polling is ambigious when within 8 percentage points.
Battle ground state polling is more conclusive. The delusion Mitt screwed up the entire election and now has an unstoppable momentum purely from his Fibbing Fest of Debate 1 with assertions Obama doesn't have the same base he had in 2008 remain to be on the GOP wish list of delusions. I hope all the GOPer's out there have their kleenex tissue supplies stocked up by Novemember 6th........they're going to need them. Obama never lost his base from 2008, and GOP efforts at voter suppression have been defeated within the Courts.
What else are they going to say? LOL
The one thing we've learned over the past decade about REPUBLICANS is you CAN"T believe a word they say.
Fact is, we've always known this race will be close. Nothing new. There's no more momentum then there was last week or month or last year.
Fiesty,
Eric Holder needs to get involved NOW!
The report was only released hours ago and Obama supporters already seem to be taking the news seriously. Change.org already has an online petition up and running that calls for "Attorney General Eric Holder: Investigate Tagg Romney owning voting machines in OHIO....".
Looks like things may get very interesting in the Buckeye state in the coming weeks.

Obama/Biden 2012
There is only one poll that counts. One. I am sick of this going back and forth about polls that mean absolutely nothing. The fact that they change from month to month, week to week, and day to day should tell you they mean nothing.
So, now we hear that there's a dead heat at 47% on each side. Do we conclude that the remaining 6% is going to third-party candidates? Do we draw the ridiculous conclusion that there are still undecided voters?
If you don't know by now that Mitt Romney is a liar, you live in a cave in the Himalayas. If you have decided to vote for Romney, then you have neither morals nor intelligence.
If you don't know by now that Republicans have engaged in a campaign to thwart every single initiative proposed by the President, you are in denial, you are amoral, or you are deaf, dumb, and blind.
President Obama has not been able to deliver much of what many of us wanted to see. He has signed into law some laws that are truly odious - the NDAA comes immediately to mind. He continues to fight the unwinnable war on drugs. However, he staked a great deal on Obamacare, which will one day be viewed as the greatest single piece of legislation since the civil rights laws of the 1960's. Indeed, there's quite a list of accomplishments, all of which benefit ALL Americans.
In my voting life, there has never been such a stark difference between the two major party candidates. That this race is so close is stunning. In a world where rational thought was king, President would win in a record-breaking landslide.
President Obama holds leads in Iowa and Wisconsin. People seem to think with the early voting in Ohio, Obama has already won it. NV? Colorado? If the president wins these states, it OHVA.
First Read writes about a bad editorial the GOP is circulating on Obama. Did they not see the great editorials that came out in the past few days from Arkansas, Florida, Virginia, Ohio, West Virginia endorsing Obama?
From CONSERVATIVE newspapers?
If Romney loses either Ohio or FLA, isn't this over for him? I don't know but it seems to be so. In some polls, Obama is doing quite well in Florida. And in Ohio, we know he is.
The GOP supports candidates who engender a distrust in science. They feel they know best when it comes to a woman and her body. They feel their cause is so just they may lie and cheat to achieve it. Well GOP, God is not on your side. And if you think you have a pipeline to the Almighty than its time for you to visit a mental health specialist.
Mitt is a DEVOUT Mormon.
I have Mormons in my family. Look up Book of Abraham if you are not a Mormon; it's a great place to start...
I STUDIED this religion in detail in weekly classes with a Mormon Deacon, I know what I'm taking about: the documents are comically "translated" from Egyptian texts that NOBODY could read at the time!
They turned out to be common funerary docs from some old mummies.
Interesting diary over @ the DailyKos re: North Carolina:
In total, people voted in One-Stop Early Voting on Thursday and Friday. Of those, 42,709 were brand new previously unregistered voters. They did not pass any poll's "likely voter" screen, nor did they even pass any poll's registered voter screen. And yet, they voted. And it is clear that they voted overwhelmingly for Obama (probably by about 2 to 1).

About that Gallup poll: Is Romney really up by 7? And will Obama win the election anyway?
Beverly:
Currently, the Gallup poll has Romney leading by 6 points with a margin of error of +/- 2 points. Depending on what baseline they use as a starting point, this actually could be in keeping with the other polls. If they are rejecting the notion that in this election cycle Democrats will be turning out with a 7 point advantage over Republicans--an assumption included in both the NBC/WSJ poll today and the IBD/TIPP poll released yesterday--you can see that all of the polls would be in the same basic neighborhood. In other words if you subtracted the 7 and 8 point advantages for Democrats built into the NBC and IBD polls, they would be at +7 and +5 respectively for Romney. Conversely, if you added in a 7 point advantage for Democrats into the Gallup poll, they would be currently showing a +1 advantage for Obama.
I've said this before in previous posts:
You can't compare different polls using different methodologies. You are far better off comparing the results of the same polling organizations against their own polls taking note of the prevailing trends.
As for whether Obama can win anyway? The answer is yes. In my opinion, the entire race now depends on what happens in Ohio. While there are other paths to the requisite number of electoral votes for both candidates, all of these paths would be decidedly more difficult for either. Whoever wins the state of Ohio will likely win the election.
LOL
Now the polls are important? :D
But actually it doesn't reflect the end product which will be Mitt being defeated by Obama. I can only hope Mitt will fade away forever after that.
David Walker,
Without question, you're correct. The only poll that matters is the one to declare the winner of the election. Other polls reflect opinion to how the electorate may vote. And as we all know, pollsters can determine the results they want to see in their poll, buillding the base for the candidate of their choice.
Two polling organizations continually get it right - NBC and their liberal arm are two that don't. As we near the election, it is imparative for polling organizations to justify theirbi identity and correct wrongs to continue to build their credibility for the future.
Now you may see actual results showing a negative position for the president. The final poll should show that America is a nation of fairness by electing the first Mormon president.
Go home Barry, and will Feisty now return to GSG in DC?
Charleston Gazette, West Virginia's Largest Newspaper, Endorses Obama "Steadfastly imposed rescue measures to halt the hemorrhage.."
Salt Lake Tribune: Therefore, our endorsement must go to the incumbent, a competent leader who, against tough odds, has guided the country through catastrophe and set a course that, while rocky, is pointing toward a brighter day. The president has earned a second term. Romney, in whatever guise, does not deserve a first.
Obamacare also illustrates the biggest contrast between the president and his challenger. In words and some deeds, Obama has worked to protect vulnerable Americans – the uninsured, gays, the children of illegal immigrants. He’s governed with a philosophy that all Americans deserve at least the opportunity for success, and he’s advocated for tax reform and an educational infrastructure that would promote fairness.
Charlotte Observer: The America he believes in celebrates the common good as well as the individual good. When the economy improves – and it will – the country needs a president with that agenda, with those values. We endorse Barack Obama for another four years.
Tampa Bay Times: We wish the economic recovery was more vigorous, and we would like the president to present a sharper vision for a second term. But Obama has capably steered the nation through an incredibly difficult period at home and abroad, often with little help from Congress. The next four years will not be easy for whoever occupies the Oval Office, but Obama has been tested by harsh circumstance and proven himself worthy of a second term.
In this, the so-called swing state of Ohio, two of today's three Ohio major newspaper endorsements went to President Barack Obama.
The largest newspaper in the swing state of Ohio, The Cleveland Plain Dealer, endorsed President Obama for a second term today, citing his policies as best for Ohio, noting that’s he’s been met with unbending resistance and belligerence from Republicans and sounding the alarm on etch-a-sketch Mitt Romney’s domestic and foreign policies.

If America had elected George McGovern, instead of Nixon, we could have saved at least some of the over 50,000 who died fighting in Vietnam.
If America had re-elected Jimmy Carter, we would have gotten off our dependency on foreign oil, saving us from having to invade Iraq, heck, saving us from 9/11.
If America had elected Al Gore, we'd be ahead in combatting global warming, and food and energy prices would be down.
If America had elected MCain, we'd still be in Iraq, Detroit would still be in bankruptcy, teachers and cops laid off, and Sarah Palin would be sitting in the Senate.
Will America learn from history?
Elizabeth-1372999
Thats a lot of money George Bush spent. Of course we got 100 months of growth out of it before the democrats took over both the senate and house in 2006 then in 2 short years we were all broke and out of a job! Didn't matter that George Bush was a lame duck President for the last 2 years, it was all his fault!
Of course even after spending 6.5 trillion, thats 2.5 trillion more then Bush in 8 years we are still stuck in the mud.
You didn't happen to read the report from the government economic office that said we will be back in recession next summer did you?
I guess Obama needs to borrow another 6 trillion from China and save the day. Oh wait a minute China has stopped lending us money and we got another credit downgrade in September. No wonder Obama has taken to printing funny money to pay the bills.
Obama's economic plan is called the Cloward - Piven Strategy and if you don't believe it just look at what he has done.

The real skinny is this, Obama will win the election even if he loses the popular vote, which I don't think he will anyway. There is this little thing called the Electoral College that really decides who wins and who goes home. Romney is still behind despite all of the scenario's. And here is something for you right wing turds to chew on. Is it a mistake that a supposed liberal news network is calling this race even? Don't think so. It just may be a way of rallying the troops to get out and vote for the current president. So put that in your conspiracy pipe and smoke it.
Intelligent people know the POTUS has no control over oil prices. IF he did, the scream of socialism would be deafening.
well if the republicans truly have a surge in the polls, after all of the lying, denying what they have promised to do... implying more war, both abroad and against our own poor, threatening to do away with programs, or change them not for the better so that "entitlements" don't weigh down the wealthiest among us... I know one thing for sure. Bill Maher is spot on correct when he says "The majority of Americans are stupid, and will vote against their own best interest".
PRober, especially when most of the welfare recipients are 'Republican voters,' who are THEY going to cry to or blame when the GOP finally stops THEIR payments, Obama?
Fools Gold
As for whether Obama can win anyway? The answer is yes. In my opinion, the entire race now depends on what happens in Ohio. While there are other paths to the requisite number of electoral votes for both candidates, all of these paths would be decidedly more difficult for either. Whoever wins the state of Ohio will likely win the election.
Fools Gold,
Thank you for being honest. I really do appreciate it and now see you in a somewhat different light. You may know me well enough to know I abhor deliberate liars. Again, thank you.

Hello folks, does it feel like the movie Ground Hog Day to you? We keep doing the same thing over and over again and expect different results. It looks and feels like we are gerbils on a treadmill wheel.
Who has always run this world? The blue bloods, right? Nearly every U.S. president has been related to each other and ultimately their lineage can be easily traced back to the British monarchy. So what is different about this election? Are Obama and Romney related? Your damn right they are!
Have you ever looked at the Bush, Romney, and Obama family tree, they are all related to each other! If you think this is conspiracy then Huffington Post, Reuters, ABCNews, Ancestry.com, Genealogy Bank, etc and many more news outlets are involved in a conspiracy. The argument by the disinformation trolls is that if you go back far enough in your own bloodline that we are all related to the Queen of England. That is unadulterated BS. The blue bloods have always run this country!
Obama & Romney Are Related! Genealogy Infographic
By Tom Kemp | Posted on October 12, 2012 by Tom Kemp
“In time for the 2012 election countdown, I recently did some genealogy research to learn more about the background of both President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney, and guess what—they’re related!
What’s more: they’re also related to several former U.S. presidents, English kings, outlaws and celebrities. This is really huge! So huge in fact that our team at GenealogyBank decided to create this Infographic to show many of these surprising genealogical findings.”
Why are you voting for either of these candidates? Because one or the other is the lesser of two evils? That still makes them evil, right? We have a one headed two party system that support the rich and could care less about you, zero, zilch!
For those who still value their individual critical thinking and decision making skills wake up and get off the treadmill.
Our global banking system has crashed and you will find this information out after the elections and neither candidate can save it. You can acknowledge our situation or remain asleep, the choice is yours but you can make a difference if you simply decide to. Peace!
I don't know why anyone would vote for romney? If you are going to vote for a democrat, at least vote for the one that will wear the shame.
And as we speak Romneys vulture business Bain Capitol which he is still a huge shareholder is dismantling and shipping American jobs from a profitable U.S. company(Sensata) to China. Romney is the most ruthless and despicable type of business man in our country and the right wants him to be our president. I hope all you conservatives are willing to move to China if you still want your job.
On the day before an election that's supposed to hinge on jobs, taxes and the middle class, Bain Capital, the company Mitt Romney founded, will close the doors of a factory in Freeport, Illinois, and ship 170 good, high-tech jobs to China.
The employees of Sensata Technologies were forced to train their Chinese replacements, and the American flag that long flew over the factory was reportedly removed while the Chinese engineers were visiting the site. A group of workers have set up camp across from the factory -- calling it “Bainport” -- and some supporters have tried to block the trucks hauling equipment out of the plant. According to Dave Johnson, there have been several arrests.
Sensata workers have asked to meet with Mitt Romney and hoped to enlist his help keeping their jobs in the United States, but he has refused, instead remaining on the campaign trail where he speaks often about “getting tough” with China.
The most important part of the story is that Sensata Technologies is profitable operating in Illinois. Net income last year was $355 million, up 16 percent from 2010. The company reported total revenues of $1.8 billion in 2011, up almost 19 percent from the year before. According to a company financial statement, “both 2011 net revenue and adjusted net income represent record levels for the company.”
So this has nothing to do with “making hard choices” in the process of turning around a failing business, which is how the Romney campaign describes Bain's corporate raiding. Bain's partners are looking for a modest boost in profits by locating the plant closer to the booming Asian automotive market (Sensata makes high-tech automotive parts). They'll get a small tax break for relocating the plant – the one Mitt Romney insisted did not exist during the first debate – and possibly defer taxes on some of the income the company generates.
When I was a child, my father said we should always thank God in our prayers that we lived in a great country like America.
Even with the big problems and controversy that exists here, I still agree. America is the land of the free. Just watch the nightly news. In so many foreign countries, people cannot speak their mind or practice their own religion without fear of being persecuted, ostracized, or murdered.
As an American, it makes me proud to have a leader like President Obama.
As a Christian, it makes me proud to vote for another Christian like President Obama.
I have always had faith in America and faith in God. Neither has let me down yet.
It's going to be interesting when Romney wins buy a landslide. I guess red headed idiots will have to do what most folks do, get a job. But then again, the Messiah will likely get another walk on Nobel.

I was reading another item that says that the presidential election will, likely, be decided by 106 counties.
I have news for you, it will be decided by even less! Presidential elections are decided by independent voters.
If the 106 county thing is correct, the election will be decided by the independent voters in those counties. So, if you want to know the winner, poll the independents in those counties.
Some of us, independents, don't count because we generally vote independent, as I did last time and will this time.
Since I do not vote in one of those 106 counties, my vote won't matter, anyway.
Lets just skip the debate and allow Barry to read the teleprompter concession speech!
Thank Goodness, the nation is seeing the light, given the parting of the red seas didn't work out so well for O.
I hate to break it to the likes of Spanky and Obamabater, but Gallup has been an outlier for more than a week now. Other polls show an equally sizable Obama lead and most show a tie, but the aggregate result is that Obama is still leading by about 1-2 percentage points.
And I also hate to break it to the GOP, but Romney is not carrying the momentum anymore. He was, until Obama spanked his mendacious buttocks last Tuesday. Since Wednesday, Nate Silver's Forecast has shown a slow — albeit noticeable — reverse in the polling trend, with Obama regaining some lost ground.
Historically, the first debate has almost always been a victory for the challenger. Whenever there have been second and third debates, the trend is for the incumbent to do increasingly better. This won't be surprising in Obama's case, since, by all accounts, his forte has been foreign policy. Romney has managed to convince a plurality of Americans that he would be able to better handle the economy, but Obama's lead in foreign-policy matters has been insurmountable. Obama's FP Achilles heel will definitely be the Libya affair, but Romney screwed up big time last Tuesday and I have no reason to believe he will be able to handle the topic more deftly this time around. Regarding all things China, Russia, Iran, Israel, public image abroad, defense spending, Osama bin Laden, Afghanistan, and Iraq, however, there is no way Romney could possibly make an honest (ha! the words "Romney" and "honest" in the same sentence) case as to why Obama has been a poor C-in-C. He hasn't been.
It's also worth noting that Obama's lead in Ohio, Iowa, Wisconsin, and New Hampshire is more solid than Romney's in Florida and Virginia.
Bottom line: Romney is still the underdog. He had his chance to overtake Obama and he came very close, but he did not. And the chance is over. Now, it's time for Obama's last push, and something tells me he'll be able to, at worst, sustain his current thin lead.
What a waste of time. We will find out soon enough, Nov 6th is coming up fast. I think it will be close, and at the end of the day, we will have a winner and and a re-count.
Ever hear of Joseph Juran? There may have been someone more boring. He always used the 80/20 rule, which governs everything on earth.
How it applies in this case is that 80% of the voters elect 20% of the federal senators and representatives. 20% of the voters elect 80% of the senators and representatives, plus the president. You may not like it but that's the way it is.

Romney cashed in big time when Obama saved the auto
It all starts with Delphi Automotive, a former General Motors subsidiary whose auto parts remain essential to GM’s production lines. No bailout of GM—or Chrysler, for that matter—could have been successful without saving Delphi. So, in addition to making massive loans to automakers in 2009, the federal government sent, directly or indirectly, more than $12.9 billion to Delphi—and to the hedge funds that had gained control over it.
One of the hedge funds profiting from that bailout—$1.28 billion so far—is Elliott Management, directed by Paul Singer. According to The Wall Street Journal, Singer has given more to support GOP candidates—$2.3 million—than anyone else on Wall Street this election season. His personal giving is matched by that of his colleagues at Elliott; collectively, they have donated $3.4 million to help elect Republicans this season, while giving only $1,650 to Democrats. And Singer is influential with the GOP presidential candidate; he’s not only an informal adviser but, according to the Journal, his support was critical in helping push Representative Paul Ryan onto the ticket.

Other GOP presidential hopefuls chased Singer’s endorsement, but Mitt chased Singer with his own checkbook, investing at least $1 million with Elliott through Ann Romney’s blind trust (it could be far more, but the Romneys have declined to disclose exactly how much). Along the way, Singer gained a reputation, according to Fortune, “for strong-arming his way to profit.” That is certainly what happened at Delphi.

Why is it when the Democrats talk about the recession they always fail to mention the housing crisis? Why is it at the same time hearings were being held in 2004 all the democrats were saying the housing crisis they were be warned of by the Republicans was just a "fantasy", that there was in fact no problems even though they were being warned that Fannie and Freddie were way over extended? It was all fiction the Republicans were being told.
The true cause, what lead to the crisis, is the bursting of the housing bubble in 2008 that we were told was more "doom and gloom" by the Republicans.

Newspaper Endorsements For Barack Obama Smack At Mitt Romney In An Embarrassing Manner!
Many people might say that newspaper editorial board endorsements do not matter very much in the modern age, but still it is impressive that Barack Obama is gathering newspaper endorsements in places that are embarrassing to Mitt Romney.
The Tampa Bay Tribune, in the city where the Republican National Convention was held, endorsed Obama.
The Denver Post, in the city where the first Presidential debate was held, endorsed Obama.
The Salt Lake City Tribune, in the city and state of the Mormon establishment and the Mormon temple, turned against a person who is a leader of their faith, and endorsed Obama.
Additionally, it is quite apparent that other major newspapers, more significant than those mentioned above—including the NY Times, Washington Post, Boston Globe, and Los Angeles Times—will endorse Obama, and the Philadelphia Inquirer already has done so.
Sure, Mitt Romney has won some endorsements and will gain more, but it seems clear that the majority of newspapers, and the most prestigious and influential ones, will be backing Barack Obama.

I dont see how anyone can deny momentum is on Romneys side. Oh wait, when Obama leads in the polls, its the will of the American people, but when Romney closes the gap, and ties in many polls, then they are just a waste of time.
After seeing the President go 0/2 in debates, and the Vice President making a complete arse of himself, things must be pretty tense in the Obama Administration. I wonder if the W.H. is still a hostile workplace for women? Has the poster boy for womens rights made pay equal for men and women in his own administration....you know, as a show of leadership? Has he answered the question in the town hall on whether he supports his energy secretary's comments? Has he answered ANY questions from the town hall debate?
I didnt think so. He has had the better part of four years and has failed to lead.

Pat, Boston MA,
You just might want to check your facts. The Tampa Tribune endorsed Obama. I would be leary of quoting anything published by the progressiveprofessor without double checking.
Republicans say momentum is on Romney's side in new polls
Wow. Really? Is that what Republicans say?
FOUR YEARS AGO, the Republicans said that Mormonism is a CULT. That Magic Underwear Mitt Romeny is a senior member of he Whackadoo Magic Underwear Cult, and that kind of individual shoudl NOT be in the White House. They made Mormonism the Laughingstock Cult of the GOP -- in order to guarantee the Primary for McCain.
And now, today, well... it's ok.
It's ok to embrace a guy who throws reasonableness and sensibility out the window in order to TRULY BELIEVE that the God who created the universe is concerned over anyone who isn't wearing Magic Underpants. Yes, he truly, devoutly believes that.
4 years ago -- Mormons were the GOP's whackadoo, laughingstock magic underwear cult.
Today - eh, it's ok.
No Consistent Values to be found in the GOP. FRAUDS and LIARS to the very end.
Right. Obama is to blame for the money the US owes to China. ROFLMFAO!!
Bush, in one fell swoop, borrowed almost a Trillion Dollars from China, for tax rebates, as a form of stimulus -- which, of course, had no stimulus effect at all. Most people either put it into savings or paid off a credit card.
And that was only one instance. A Trillion. And it disappeared with no effect on the economy.
So yeah, let's put a republican back into office, to make these same kinds of decisions. And then, blame it on a DEM who wasn't even in office.
Better yet, let's put one in office who's a cultist who think God is seriously concerned about people wearing Magic Underwear!
More and more, I'm convinced that people like you simply hate America. You lie and lie, and actually want to return to policies that destroyed our economy, just to see your anti-gay, anti-female, and other hateful social policies carried out, no matter what the cost. It's unbelievable.
Actually Mickey, I was making a comment more to the generalization of posters on this blog. It is widely known that MSNBC leans to the left. There is no surprise there. My comments were directed at the fact that no one wants to accept the fact that JUST MAYBE people are not satisfied in any way with the job of the President...and JUST MAYBE more people are considering voting for Romney. We can sit here and debate this all day, but to play the devils advocate, when people are quoting polls when their guy is ahead, and criticizing them when the opponent catches up is just as hypocritical.
I have now seen Democratic spokes people talking about how bad the recent data is for Obama. They point to Obama's strategy of negative name calling of Romney. Also the fact that Obama has no workable plan for the future to point to, except maybe more Obama's trickle down poverty. Friday we found out welfare spending has increased 48% to over a Trillion dollars.
To answer your question: First, you are wrong, very few people are motivated by hate. You might attribute some to Obama himself who is the most divisive, racist , and sexist President in history, but most people will excuse him for his hatred of Americans based upon his upbringing. No, the reason that this President has been subjected to so much criticism is that he promotes it by blaming others and not taking responsibility for his failures, in fact, Obama has been the worst President by far in US history.
All in all, the number of folk's in this poll voting for ANY republican, are without doubt in my mind, the complete epitomy of what is wrong with THIS country. Never have americans been so stupid as they are now. When hate and division are bought up WHOLESALE by this ignorant and stupid american political party's leadership, it only proves how ignorant a vast demographic america has. If the average american ACTUALLY KNEW THE DEGREE OF DYSFUNCTION AND DISHONOR brought to this country the last 4 years by THIS so called GOP, Obama would win easily.
HFM-It's going to be interesting when Romney wins buy a landslide.
Well the only way Romney could win is if he was to "buy" the election. But he won't win.The American people as a whole or smarter than that.As the Republican Santorum said about his own party not being the party of "smart people".They will support Romney, but the American voters in the majority will reject him.
Obama/Biden 2012.

Bernitch, do you really want to go back to quotes four years ago? Wasnt it everyones favorite Democrat, President Clinton making the comment to Kennedy that not too long ago, Obama would be carrying our bags? Be careful what you ask for. Hillary made some very snide comments about the future President during the primaries.
If you read my previous post, you may have noticed that most of the ones who post on newsvine are members of the 80%.
The 80% that has very little consequence in the outcome for this country. You can scream your opinions to high heaven and vote for your party 'til you drop and still only amount to a "tempest in a teapot."
Govt_Issue,
"when people are quoting polls when their guy is ahead, and criticizing them when the opponent catches up is just as hypocritical."
Are you accusing me of doing that? I hope I haven't done that. I have no recollection of having done it.
See ... you only have to look at "Uncle Bob" above and the negative attacks ... No plans for the future just attacks. Frankly there's not much Obama can say ... " keep with my plan because increasing welfare by 48% is a good thing " or here's one Team Obama is running with today " anyone who votes for Romney is Fat and Lazy " Good one Obama.
geneffmlr,
"You might attribute some to Obama himself who is the most divisive, racist , and sexist President in history, but most people will excuse him for his hatred of Americans based upon his upbringing"
I would just like to know how you have arrived at the conclusion that Obama is the most divisive, racist, and sexist President in history as well as that he hates Americans. What is your reasoning process by which you arrive at such a conclusion? The fact that you have such an intimate familiarity with all past presidents that you can make such a statement is truly amazing! I envy your vast knowledge of presidential history.
Mickey,
No, I was not accusing you, or even insinuating that you have done anything of the sort. I was merely explaining my point of view. I went back and read a few of your posts and you appear to be a level headed rational individual. We happen to disagree on political opinion, thats fine. I like coming on here and debating a good argument....and I really do try to avoid personal attacks. If in any way I have come across otherwise, it was not my intention.

“Tell me one time in history when a sitting President has EVER been subjected to what this man has!”
History has no recollection of a sitting President whose record is so overwhelmingly against the wellbeing of the nation like Obama’s. I do however give him some credit, he is trying to do his best!
This if from Global News in Canada.
A report that Solamere Capital, a company owned by Tagg Romney, has invested heavily in electronic voting machines to be used next month in the critical swing state of Ohio lit up the political blogosphere on Friday.
U.S. President Barack Obama is still leading Romney in Ohio, despite the Republican's recent surge in the polls. Tagg Romney campaigned for his father on Friday in the southeast reaches of the state.
Ohioans are sensitive to suggestions of voter machine shenanigans, with some liberals in the state long suspecting wonky voting machines played a role in George W. Bush's sudden, late-night win there against John Kerry in 2004.
Read it on Global News: Global News | Romney's sons singled out for death stare, wanting to 'take a swing'
The national polls are all over the place. The Investor's Daily poll, just out today, has OBAMA UP BY 6%. It is a post second debate poll. Moreover, the NBC/WSJ poll has Obama up 5% among registered voters, indicating a very healthy preference for the dependability of Republican voters in the poll's final conclusion that likely voters are tied. Problem for the GOP is that in the battleground states, I think the Democratic turnout may exceed the Republican. Another concern for the GOP is that in the poll of the polls Obama is up in Nevada, up in Iowa, tied in New Hampshire, tied in Virginia, and tied in Colorado. So, just the slightest movement - say half a point - or an unexpectedly good turnout - gives him a very nice alternate path to the White House. I actually think Obama's chances in Virginia and Colorado are almost as good as in Ohio.
And Romney's five point plan is essentially nothing when you examine it closely. As the voters think about it, they will conclude that a plan that says a big tax cut is the key, but for many the tax cut will be wiped out by unspecified deduction elimination, looks bizarre. And every time Romney suggests this will create jobs, he implies that lowering rates of small business owners encourages hiring. Small business owners always get to deduct the compensation and benefits paid workers. Employee expenses are above the line expenses.
Of course, the key to Romney's tax cut is that a person making one million per year doesn't care if you eliminate personal deductions if you lower his rate by 20%. He will still have his tax bill go down about $50,000. Romney is not doing anything about the lower 47% - or even the lower 67%.
Republican's, and especially Romney, seem to view the responsibilities of the President of the United States, in particular those of Commander in Chief, as a series of daily headline grabbers, with a carnival type atmosphere encompassing a spitting contest to determine whose font is the biggest. In essence, and in appearance alike, it's as if their single minded goal is simply to rush into print, at all costs, even if by doing so, they fail to act in the best interests of the American people.
Even weeks after the events of the attacks there are still conflicting reports of what actually happened, and yet the Republicans contuine to quibble over the hidden meanings behind 'acts of terror' and 'terrorists attacks.". What was said when, by who, and with what inflection of quivering sincerity in their voice. Romney/Republicans essentially, see this as a race of who got there first to claim the title of "Most Pariotic." It's ridiculous. In these kind of situations, whether it's happening somewhere on the other side of the world, or in our own backyard, cooler heads will always prevail, and certainly should.
This might be a bitter pill to swallow, but while, without question, every American life lost is equal in outrage and the desire to bring their murderer(s) to justice, not every death, does, or should, have the same uniform military response, as say, the bombing of Pearl Harbor. And this is exactly what Romney is lacking in spades, an ability to apply the proper degree of response to the particular action, which includes sometimes, holding your tongue until you have better understanding of what actually went down, and because of this inability, his foot has been repeatedly inserted in mouth. This fault isn't a big deal in the campaign, because he has a dutiful staff following behind with plastic bags snd pooper scoopers, cleaning up his messes by releasing statements after the fact, starting off with the words: "What Governor Romney really meant to say was..." Unfortunately, he won't have the luxury of this safety net as President, and our enemies tend to have very long memories.
I think everyone would agree that in the shadow of these horrific events, every avenue of of saving the loss of additional lives should first be explored diplomatically, before ever even considering other, more deadly, options. It has become far too easy these days for Republican's to pledge, if elected, their intent to prove the mettle of America's standing as the greatest nation by virtue of our military might, on the backs of the young men and women of our Armed Forces who will be the ones to pay for their bluster with their lives Of course I understand that there will always be instances where there is no option other than attack, but the ability to recognize the diiference, and act accordingly, is the mark of a great leader. Obama is exactly that kind of leader, able to temper power with diplomatic restraint, and Romney would do well to learn from his example.
We would all do well to remember that, with few exceptions, nothing is ever as it appears at first glance. And to illustrate the point, I'm going to cite the worst act of terrorism ever purpatrated on American soil, resulting in a staggering loss of life numbering in the thousands. No one will ever forget that day, or should, because it still has many lessons to teach us. On 09/11/2001, when that first plane hit the North Tower of the World Trade Center in New York, at 8:46 am EST, I was just arriving at work, and as I'm on the West Coast, it was three hours earlier.
As I'm usually the first one in, I was all alone, for well over an hour, with only a radio as a means of communication, listening to the coverage. The second tower, the South Tower, wasn't hit until 9:03 am EST. But up until the very moment that the second plane hit, after there was undeniable proof of a coordinated attack, everyone: reporters covering it live, the radio station I was listening to, myself, our government, President Bush, and the American people, were all under the impression that it was an accident, either mechanical difficulties, or a plane that had simply lost its way. Once this became known though, the appropriate response changed dramatically. We would all do well, Republicans and Democrats to stop seeing this a race to see who gets there first. First might mean faster but it doesn't always mean right.
Romney is just too eager to get there first, in my opinion, regardless of clarity of facts, or common good sense. He's more interested in having his face televised with the American flag in background, for that all important photo-op, and of course, getting it on record that he is in direct opposition to Obama's response, whatever that might be. Because honestly, being in opposition to President Obama's position must be preprinted on all Republican stationery, because it precedes every single statement they make.
At some point in this election, Republicans, as a party, traded logic, reason, and a proud history of political bipartisanship, in exchange for assassin-like personal attacks on their opponent, with no basis in real fact, and a series of artfully arranged photo-ops. And while photo-ops, in and of themselves, aren't necessarily a bad thing, as long as they remain in the human interest section, where they belong, like Ryan's recent soup kitchen visit for example. Ryan washing dishes is a designated photo-op in all it's prepackaged glory. Some might call it cute. Others might call it weird. But no one, absolutely no one, mistakes it for policy, or as a legitimate decision-making turning point. It's an opportunity to view the candidate as an "everyday Joe" and will eventually disappear from the airways altogether. Thankfully.
It's only when photo-ops are doctored from the ground-up and camouflaged as being something else entirely that they start to become dangerous. Republican's and Romney/Ryan are purposely attempting to make photo-ops out of life or death situations, and aren't even ashamed that televising your opposition to the President's response, as events are still unfolding, is a blatant attempt to score political campaign points. It is akin to dancing on the graves of all those who tragically lost their lives. This is yet another display of Republican speed versus accuracy, where their rush to judgment has later proven to be less than wise. It reminds me of those studies decades ago where children were offered the choice of a nickel today, or a dollar tomorrow. Children will always choose the nickel, because they live in the moment, lacking the ability to understand that sometimes patience will bring greater rewards.
Now imagine electing Romney, who bases every decision he makes with that same 'in the moment' mentality. An adult with a bull-headed, refusing to admit an error, win at all costs, we are never wrong, unless hell is freezing over, type of attitude taken from the realm of entertainment, and into the sanctity of the White House. Not disturbed yet? Okay, go a little further then, and imagine that same person and his "nobody ever tells me no, because I was elected CEO of the world" self-delusions in full effect, with his twitchy little tigger finger resting on the nuclear warhead button that would launch us into the next world war. Some might becry 'hyperbole' at this suggested scenario. I would counter with 'cautionary tale'.
Romney/republican's and every Citizen's United multimillionaire and billionaire who is currently floating your boat for President, if you really want to talk about an entitlement society, you're looking in the wrong aisle of the supermarket. (In one percent speak, in case you're confused, I'll translate: a supermarket is that boxy warehouse type of building that your maid visits once a month, after which your refrigerator magically fills with food. What was that? Oh yes, well, a refrigerator is that.... Oh never mind). The real entitlement society that is in sore need of a complete makeover, is the one percent. They've been operating under the misquided delusion that their wealth equates to their right to rule.
Obama/Biden
Gee, isn't it amazing that when the polls start to swing in Romney's favor there is a hue and cry from the liberal side! But, when the same polls had Obama in the lead, these same liberals said that the election was "over" and the Republicans may as well just shut down and take the inevitable! Now we are starting to hear how the conservatives and their "operatives" are going to "steal" the election from the "Dear Leader" and there need to be investigations. But, when there were suspicious swings in unemployment rates and new claims for unemployment a few weeks ago the libs were catcalling and calling conservatives "foil-hat wearing teabaggers"! Mark my words, after Obama loses in November, if there are any even remotely close contests, there will be so many liberal "conspiracy theories" against the Republicans that the newspapers will have to double their size to fill them all! BTW, libs, get your foil hats ready!
Hey, any of you liberal celebrities like Rosanne and Cheryl Crow, there are some great deals flying down to Venezuela in December! You can live in your fantastic socialist paradise on the cheap after Mitt hands Barrack his walking papers!
A vote for Romney/Ryan is a vote to gut the middle class. The middle class will see and feel pain like they have never seen before. Romney/Ryan WILL have your sons and daughters fighting another war or two or three. Your loved ones will die and your family will endure much pain. We saw alot of this in the past under Bush and we will see this under Romney/Ryan. If Romney and Ryan wouldn't have taken our jobs oversea's in the first place there would be jobs. Many of you were forced to take money from your 401-k plans to survive while the rich made a boat load of money over the last several years. Bush passed legislation to get company's to do away with traditional pension plans and go to 401-k plans and we all know they don't do well, if you can afford to put money in the plan. A vote for Romney/Ryan is a vote for the wealthy. A vote for Obama/Biden is a vote for working people and the poor. Please vote straight Democrat to advance the middle class. Obama/Biden 2012
Tagg Romney buys voting machine company.
Could they cheat a win in OH with machines documented to swing OH 5 points towards Bush in 2004, at midnight when nobody was voting?

Dangerous Mind, you had better get your "tin-foil" hat ready for after the election. Plus, you have me rolling in the aisles with you claiming that the Republicans stole Ohio in 2004! The only party with a history of long-term vote stealing are the Democrats. How about, "Vote early, Vote Often", or when there were more votes from Chicago than active voters! Please, do not go there and call this kettle (not a racist comment!) black!
there is a huge number of people on here that are either on drugs or in need of them. polls dont matter i said last spring that obama would be shown the door no matter who the nominee was. inever lost faith in the american people. nov 6 he can start making his tee times, seeing golf has been more important to him than the american people or our country!
beverly in chicago obozo wasnt even suited to hold the highest seat in the country, must less b suited for it again. undoubtably he will go down in history as the worse president in all of the presidents. WAKE UP ALL U DUMBOCRATS.
Do you really think so? If he had won, McGovern would have taken office in January, 1973. Saigon fell in April, 1975. By that time, most American trips had been long gone. Do you think that McGovern could have left Vietnam much, if any, sooner?
I'm no fan of Bush, but please cite the legislation that you're talking about. 401(k) plans were around long before the Bush presidency, as was the shift away from traditional pension plans.
The reason why Obama isn't getting 53% of the vote (the taxpayers) is because we've seen him buy big companies, bail out big companies, and overspend our borrowed tax money by $4 trillion.
The non-taxpayer, however, has no skin in the game, and will glady vote themselves more benefits. They have no incentive not to.
had mcgovern won? you do know the only state he carried was taxachusetts! thats part of the reason we try to keep them out of nh.
wow tv news and news paper on Obama side what a shocker no don't say it isn't so
Joseph Juran, the man behind the quality of japanese cars, the 80-20 pareto principle. You democrats and republicans are a part of the 80% "useful many", some independents are the "essential few". Not me, I usually vote independent.
The whole idea of Mitt's son Tagg and his family owning or having anything to do with voting machines should make him ineligible to run for president. THAT IS A CONFLICT OF INTERESTS. Why are company employees not eligible to play in contests that their company runs? Every person should be crying about this. You wonder how he and others made all of their money again. Easy to win when you cheat and break the rules, why do they deserve to get rewarded again? Why do I not just cheat? I could get away with murder I bet $ on it. I am in the best state to do it too. "To many rules and regulations killing business" like the rules against murder, stealing, theft, etc.? Why are those rules and regulations ok, but not ones that effect you?
Do not forget that there will be two people at each voting station with clipboards from the Teaparty (Koch bros) trying to influence your vote too. I think I am going to have to go volunteer to stand next to them all day to disrupt them, and to provide a biased view point. If they are actually doing anything illegal which is unlikely I will call the cops on them.
This reminds me of a cat when they slip and fall off a tin roof. They are scrambling and clawing at anything trying to find something to get a hold of. I was not really even going to bother posting since it is Marco Rubio. If you live in Florida you know he is full of chit and is a piece of it too. How he and Rick Scott were elected is beyond me. It shows the average intelligence that many people have in this state. How can people even vote for people like Rick Scott after he stole billions from Medicare and got a two days notice from the FBI that his company was going to be investigated? He had plenty of time to get rid of any incriminating evidence and setup a fall guy, must be nice to live be another set of rules all because of the amount of money you have.
A poll of wall street, a bunch of rich people that do not want to pay any taxes at all favors Mitt...NO CHIT. Say it isn't so. Tell me something I did not already know. I know you are trying to influence any of those undecided voters that Obama is no longer "cool" or "popular" and Mitt is the latest and greatest thing since "sliced bread". Even if you win you morons still lose, that is how stupid you are. There will be less rich people in America if Mitt gets elected. There race to the top will continue even though the contest is only among less then 0.1% of our population. That means that many of the rich people today will be soon be poor if Mitt is elected. He has to get MORE money too even if it has to come from a fellow rich person. Survival of the fittest remember.
How much less would our debt be if Obama had been able to raise taxes on the rich? Who is in charge? Who owns this country? Would it be nearly as bad. No it would not. Mitt plan is worse for our economy and debt. Getting tired of giving these great leaders chances to fix their mistakes and to come clean, but they would rather play games with peoples' lives. The only ones that are going to make out are the super rich people that will have 4 years to squeeze a couple more drops out of the middle class before they bail and move to another country. The will run for their lives as soon as the revolution they caused breaks out after doing what they intend to this country and its people all in the name of money. I will still be alive, will know who they are, and will come find them no matter what country they attempt to hide in. We will not forget what you did. Once the people start to suffer more under you then they would me it is the beginning of the end for you. I will not show you any mercy just like you taught me to. Do as I say not as I do.
Trust me when I tell you, that even if 67% of the voters vote for Mr. Obama, the republicans, counting in their tossing out democrat and independant voter registration cards, intimidating workers to vote Romney in order to save from being fired if he loses, and buying the actual voting machines to manipulate after votes have been made, Romney will lower that percentage. By owning the voting machines, his family and Bain Corporation affiliates that now own those machines can simply rig them in Mr. Obama's favor and get caught in a recount to negate the democrat votes in that manner or simply rig them to give him the votes outright if he has the balls and risk getting caught.
The republican party has been outright criminal in how they are conducting this voter manipulation in much the very same way that Amanutjob won his own election in Iran.
If the Republcans claim Romney is ahead, then we know he's actually down.
Since Republicans lie about everything it is safe to assume they are lying about the polls as well.
No matter what Internet trolls say or anyone else, this election will come down to Obama in the lead and the Republicans doing their best to limit peolpe from voting and stealing what elections and states they can. Finally, if they are still down a bit they can have their Suprmeme Court give the election to Romney.
So, this election is about Obama getting a big enough lead that it can't be cheated from him.... that's the bottom line. It comes down to how many people go out and vote.
Dear Undecided Voter,
Have simply forgotten what got us here in the first place? You've had 4 years to question the Republican Party and ask them why, with every opportunity they've been given, haven't they produced a piece of legislation that both Democrats and Republicans could be comfortable with that would move this country forward. It took 8 years for Bush's policies to get us where we were 4 years ago and you really expected President Obama to fix everything under 4 years with a "Do Nothing Congress?"
Now down to specifics. Please tell me what Obama policy has had an immediate & negative, impact on
you and how?
1. If you want to go with Obamacare...how has that affected you negatively? The law stops Medicare and Medicaid fraud, expands eligibility up to the age of 26 on your family plan, and expands coverage to those with pre-existing conditions; insurance companies must give you a rebate if you pay more into insurance than what it actually cost you in medical services.
2. The auto bailout - Congress gave money to the auto industry. The auto industry took it for what it was, an opportunity to reorganize and modernize, without having to put hundreds of thousands of people out of work, U.S. wide. The best part, the auto industry paid back the federal government with interest.
Under bankruptcy - you don't get interest paid. Today, the auto industry is stronger and the products are better. In fact, it was such a good deal that according to a report by Greg Palast of The Nation, "Romney and his wife, Ann, made at least $15.3 million -- and perhaps tens of millions more - as a result of bailout funds paid to General Motors."
There is more...the list can go on and on. But let's stops the lies now. They don't change the fact that Republicans are obstructionist
On the budget: President Obama has done an exceptional job under the circumstance's. The President's job is not to lead the Congress - there are three equal branches of government for a reason. His job is to set the agenda for directing this country and it's up to our Congress for getting us there. It is apparent that the many of you have a ridiculous set of expectations. On the subject of Romney being our Commander in Chief, I cannot bring myself to follow a fraud, who supported and protested in favor of the Vietnam War, and then requested a deferment and a trip to France. Romney does not rate to be our Commander in Chief.
Forbes: For A Better Economy, Vote Democratic:
• Personal disposable income has grown nearly 6 times more under Democratic presidents
• Gross Domestic Product (GDP) has grown 7 times more under Democratic presidents
• Corporate profits have grown over 16% more per year under Democratic presidents (they actually declined under Republicans by an average of 4.53%/year)
• Average annual compound return on the stock market has been 18 times greater under Democratic presidents (If you invested $100k for 40 years of Republican administrations you had $126k at the end, if you invested $100k for 40 years of Democrat administrations you had $3.9M at the end)
• Republican presidents added 2.5 times more to the national debt than Democratic presidents
• The two times the economy steered into the ditch (Great Depression and Great Recession) were during Republican, laissez faire administrations
Well, technically, the Republicans are wrong. There was a bounce after the first debate for Romney. After the second debate there was a slight rebound by Obama... so current momentum is currently with Obama. Their conclusions have more to do with the timing of the polls than the trends of the voters.
And why we're considering these clowns is beyond me... tax cuts are asinine. Yes, you get an initial stimulus effect from a tax cut... and an equal and opposite bump when you take it away later. The net effect of tax cuts are temporary, so if you have tax cuts lasting as long as the Bush tax cuts, the only economic result is a sh!tload of debt. Asinine.
And now we want to cut taxes 20%? Idiocy... unless you can really find enough loopholes in the right places to make it all relatively neutral, WHICH THEN NEGATES WHATEVER YOU WERE TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH BY THE TAX CUT!! Asinine.
Our recovery is delicate. Eliminating so called loopholes like the mortgage deduction will change incentives for real estate purchases and can potentially put our recovery on it's heels. And we seriously want to try such nonsense NOW? Asinine.
Romney's "plan" makes no sense. Obama's steady recover and reasonable and balanced tax rates make perfect sense.
And when you throw women's rights, gay right's, Medicare reform vouchers, Social Security cuts, cowboy foreign policies, and Romney's forbearing CEO temper in the mix and you have a pure losing equation.
Why are people voting for Romney anyway? It makes no sense.
Hey Feisty (aka Jen Psaki) tell your boy he's goin down!!!!...You seem a little more nervous, ALMOST DESPERATE! today, starting to get those ass sweats?
We here in OHIO can't wait for tonights debate when Romney drives the final nail into obumbo's coffin!!!

Obumbo gonna get a major ass bbq on Monday night.
About 75 MILLION people gonna be watching obumbo go down in flames!!!!
BREAK OUT THE POPCORN FEISTY...HAAAHHAHHAAAAAA!!!!!!
Liberals have spent the past four years accusing anyone that disagreed with Obama as a racist. Blinded by hatred and race was the standard comeback for anyone questioning Obama. All liberals have ignored the fact that Obama has simply failed this nation, and in part because the mainstream media and liberal supporters were too busy covering for him. Obama enjoyed the perks and benefits of the job, but he didn't do the job. It is almost as if Obama wanted to do the bare minimum that could get him re-elected, so all his failures just became a montage of blame and excuses that did more to prove he was incapable of leading then rallying people to his cause. Obama hasn't earned a second term in a large part because the mainstream media and his liberals supporters never held him accountable for anything. Now that Romney is, Obama looks weak, petty, and incapable.
Ah Hah hah, the Romney BLIMP had momentum too - downward momentum, as it flipped over and crash landed (it's just like Mitt)!
well put fiery red bush.
the left hates, success, oil, coal, logging, wall street, banks, business, god, religion, people who believe in god and religion, old white guys, white guys, Conservative women any adult that acts like one and can take care of themselves and ...............well getting tired of typing but we get it.
Tell us Republicans, which Romney do you favor?

Or this Mitt Romney ----- “Ronald Reagan is… my hero.” – Mitt Romney.
This Mitt Romney ----- “I think the minimum wage ought to keep pace with inflation.” – Mitt Romney.
Or this Mitt Romney ----- "There’s no question raising the minimum wage excessively causes a loss of jobs.”– Mitt Romney.

Since when have the Republicans --- the right-wingers --- got things right?
.
maybe all RepubliCONs are suffering from Romnesia?
It's very evident from your sophmoric posts...you are truly the reason for the name...Dumbocrats!
Why are Republicans so insecure - and have to adopt a name 'Rich' to show you are a RepubliCON? There are a lot of rich folks who are Democrats...you don't see Warren Buffet name himself 'rich' and post stuff here!!
Bush brings on the greatest recession in a century with disastrous policies, and you want to bring back the same policies?
Republican/Tea Bigots champion more wealth transfer to the uber wealthy, and you want more of that?
Republican/Tea Bigots seek more opportunities for wars they won't pay for, and you want more of that?
Republican/Tea Bigots refuse to sponsor more jobs repairing America's infrastructure, adding teachers, police, firemen and you think that's all right?
Republican/Tea Bigots think health care is only for the rich, and you'll vote for that? (Look at how many fortunes were destroyed by unexpected health care bills!!!) You're OK with that?
Damn fools. You can't tell help from harm. You don't recognize disaster from the relief that follows. You deserve what you get. Vote for your fascist leaders, conservatives, and prepare for the end of America. Democracy requires intelligence, and you can't see past your greed and hate.
This is so rich from so many libs on this blog with regard to Romney. CLINTON was the MOST FINANCIALLY DESTRUCTIVE PRESIDENT IN U.S. HISTORY:
A) HE, no one else, with the assist of his Goldman Sachs and Wall Street buddies - Robert Rubin, Lawrence Sommers, Timothy Geithner, et. al., and Alan Greenspan (Fed) (and some of these people where brought back by OBAMA to his administration!) - repealed the Glass-Steagall Act of 1934 which kept Commercial Banking, Investing Banking, and Insurance separate; and with this repeal led to the meltdown of TRILLIONS of dollars of speculative non-oversight investments by banks and financial institutions.
B) HE, no one else, and despite warnings from many councils of economists, industry groups and labor unions truly opened the flood gates on free trade towards LABOR-SINKHOLES economies such as China with NO labor- and product-return to capital, value-added safeguards to protect key industries and sectors in the U.S., as other countries do, such as even the Europeans when drafting similar treaties. In the process HE is the one who set the stage for true syphoning out the manufacturing/industrial base of our country!
C) HE, along with the usual suspects above (and again the same people brought back by OBAMA to work for him) purposely undermined his own chief regulator on market derivatives, Brooksley E. Born, Chief of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, by preventing her, through their insistence, in taking action on regulating the emerging subprime derivatives market which she rightfully predicted will lead to a major world disaster. (Duh ... does anyone remember the crash of '08?). Anyway, such lack of deregulation led to a market of 800 to 900 Trillion (with a T) of mostly toxic derivatives. (How much were Bush's hare-brain adventures in Iraq and Afghanistan cost? ... 1, 2 Trillion?).
CLINTON IS BY FAR THE MOST DESTRUCTIVE FINANCIAL PRESIDENT and OBAMA has taken most of these people in! Romney was no wheres on the radar screen in the decision making on any of the above
The next debate will be on foreign policy.
The President ended War In Iraq - is winding down the War in Afghanistan (2 destructive Bush wars)
bin Laden was dead under the President's watch - Bush never got bin Laden!
US has become so popular in the world now - after Bush destroyed American reputation.
But Romnesia continues his saber-rattling, threatening to invade more countries and even invade the Mars.
.
According to a recent survey majority of Americans agree with Pres. Obama on most foreign policy issues.
Yep - our man Pigotry has it just right.
Casue O has gotten it just right. Right on the economy, on the Arab winter, on monetary policy.
And of course the proof s in the pudding - we are all doing so awesome right now.
Which is why all we hear from O is about the economy.
Wait. Why O never, ever brings that up.
Huh.
It's widely known that Bush gets the credit for the recession. You can't cut taxes and go to war twice and remain fiscally solvent. The big driver for the recession was "trickle down" economics, which Romney supports and endorses.
So if you want to return to recessions and financial crises vote for Romney. As you can see, he won't disclose how he'll pay for his 5 trillion dollar tax cut.
Hey, Eric-913730,
You are absolutely right. But sadly, some Americans have very short attention span - they have already forgot that the recession started with bank failures due to GOP deregulation. and recessions started with bank failures are harder to fix - look at the 1929 Great Depression that did not end until the end of WWII 1945.
.
Where is common sense??
Eric-913730... problem is, neither has Obama submitted a clear, coherent plan on how to cut down our ever growing mammoth debt and deficit ... and regardless whose fault it is it has terrifyingly increased under his watch.
Jose V....a clear, coherent plan?
As you should know, the US - the largest economy in the world is too big...GOP's clear and 'incoherent' plan to laissez-faire of 'leave the market alone' is the worst such plan in the global history - having done so much damages - from the recession of 1873 to the recession of 1893, to the recession of 1907, to the Great Depression (1929-45), to the recession of 1990, to the Asian Financial crisis of 1997, to this current recession. So this 'clear and incoherent' idea of market as perfect (laissez-faire) is lazy and unfair.
.
The vision of an economic policy is often depending on improvising, the only sure thin is to get Congress to go along with the President and work together for a better America...but GOP in congress only want to humiliate the President, putting thei rpartisan interest in front of the country's.
I think Mitt's created too much of a cartoon of himself, and I also think his pride was badly stung in Debate #2.
I have a good idea we won't be seeing Hack And Slash Mitt.
Hey, Jose V.
Yeah, you rightWingNuts (RWNTs) want to have your cake and eat it too.
1. If the president talks about regulation, you call it socialism that is against the 'perfect' market which gives bankers obscene profits but forces taxpayers to bail them out when in trouble.
2. If the president agrees with you, Clinton agreed with Sen. Gramm and GOP majority to repeal Glass-Steagall, you call him the most destructive - you WWNTs always bite the hands that feed you.
... look, my last post on this with regard to Clinton ... the buck still stops at the President's desk.
Jose....in the US, Congress is also king...actually 535 kings vs. 1 president..which are supposed to work together. They did in repealing Glass-Steagall of 1933 - that's when the GOP had majority in both Houses of Congress during Clinton's last 6 years (1995-2001).
Obama has laid out a plan. Here it is:
"46 percent would come from higher revenues; about 54 percent of the reductions would come through spending cuts.
Obama’s plan is detailed and complex. To raise revenues, families making over $250,000 a year would pay more, but he also has an extensive list of tax breaks he would eliminate. They can be arcane. For example: • Repeal last-in, first-out (LIFO) method of accounting for inventories
• Determine the foreign tax credit on a pooling basis
• Repeal lower-of-cost-or-market inventory accounting method
• Eliminate special treatment of carried interest
On the spending side, the president proposes $580 billion in cuts to a number of programs that range from agricultural subsidies to rental assistance to airport construction. In 2011, Obama proposed some $320 billion in health program cuts. The federal government would pay less to drug makers and nursing homes. In the long run, many states would shoulder a larger share of Medicaid costs."
His plan is more complex to explain to Americans. It also has some flaws, but not to the depth Romney has. He explains more of how he would pay for his plan.
Eric - 913730 ... Thank you so much for this post. I was wrong, and regret, my previous post on Obama not submitting a coherent plan. This is truly coherent. Your post should be highlighted for all! ... we desperately need, for our country, to address, in earnest, this problem.
Bill-Austin
Actually Joe V was close.
The CRA Lawsuit of 1994 forced banks into making bad loans, It was not deregulation that caused the Mortgage Meltdown rather the CRA Lawsuit that set the pace for it to happen.
Bill Clinton then in 1995 forced Fannie and Freddie to buy all mortgages from the banks without review. Because of the CRA Lawsuit most loans were sold to Fannie and Freddie before the ink was dry.
Fannie and Freddie know these loans were toxic and bundled them with good loans and sold them off to keep the loss ratio acceptable.
Bill Clinton leaves behind the beginnings of a recession. George Bushes policies stop it and America enjoys 100 straight months of economic growth.
2006 pissed about the wars America elects democrats to the house and senate. George Bush becomes a lame duck President.
2007 China begins to buy all the oil they can at any price.
2007 China begins to buy all the scrap metal they can at any price.
2007 The price of gasoline soars because China is buying all the oil it can at any price. Americans are scolded for driving big SUV's and told it's their fault.
2007 Due to high gas and steel prices America begins laying off workers.
2007 Laid off workers can not pay their mortgage and because of the CRA Lawsuit many of these people owned homes they could not afford anyway.
2008 America is in full recession and Barack Obama blames the lame duck President George Bush.
Did you Google the CRA Lawsuit to see who forced banks into making bad loans and added to the collapse of the economy??
You'll be surprised!
PigotryWhy are Republicans so insecure
republican have been more secure then all Democrat put together. That's why you see Democrat buying vote by offering public assistance to poor people. what Democrat need to do is educate these people with free Education or a flat rate tuition so they cut get on their feet. But that doesn't work to their advantage. because an Educated person see light were other can't see.
You know who else is dead? Amb. Chris Stevens, Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty, both former Navy SEAL commandos working as diplomatic security officers. The fourth was Sean Smith, IT specialist.
So, here I am in Key west. Last night, at a party, I was surrounded by friends who know I understand how polling works, all of whom had one question-
Can Romney really win?
Now, bear in mind, these are former Obama voters- all of whom live, daily, with the ramifications of his muddle headed economic decisions: the empty restaurants and hotel rooms; decline in revenue from shops; the closed businesses; the decline in real estate value.
They wanted reassurance that the polling that shows Obama slightly ahead is wrong. There's nothing like going to a party and having to explain the difference between weights and targets, functions and regression models- suffice to say, it's a good thing I don't drink.
All of this is to say- this bastion of Obama support four years ago has flipped, one hundred per cent, to Romney.
Obama is going to be sailing off to Hawaii soon- aloha, Obama. You will, definitely, not be missed.
I just moved out of Florida, after living there 20 years. The state's economy is in a shambles. Romney wins Florida in a landslide.
no joe, no bo, nj
Florida's woes are the result of pre-existing conditions as you well know. Cut the BS.
bcwc: if no jo had to cut out the B.S. she would have nothing to say.
Can't you just see her holding forth at some party that she was invited to because some poor person felt forced to do it? And all the people there, drifting away the moment politeness allowed, happy to be able to relax the forced smiles as no jo drones on and on and ON!
And whispering to each other "who in the world let THAT in?"
As Pelosi said about passing Obama care. "Once it is passed we can all read it"!! Obama interjects his name into history at every opportunity. It is time to erase this failure and let him retire to Chicago.
Fantasy Fest 2008- last week of October, you couldn't rent space for a sleeping bag on someone's lawn.
Christmas week, 2008- you couldn't get space to lean against a lamppost.
2009, 2010. 2011- hotels were giving away rooms. Two for one night, free meals- still couldn't fill up.
This year?
The worst yet.
The small business owners in this town depend on the tourists- and the dollars they bring- and those two weeks are the most important weeks of the year for them.
Stick your Obama-excuse-making in your ear, bcwc. These people know who's to blame for the economic devastation of this island- and they plan to do something about it.
I don't know many people in Miami, but it's hard to believe that this place, a liberal bastion, is that different than Miami.
Florida is going red- big time.
See, bcwc: You have interfered in no jo's perception of herself as all knowing and able to speak for EVERYONE in the world.
When you do that, she gets testy.
She'll be putting you on ignore really really soon!
Romney 2012, and beyond! Obama cancelled Americas Space program! All of Florida was affected by this betrayal! After all Obama was for Americas space program, as he campaigned against Clinton, for president! When he became President, he cancelled American human space flight ceding our leadership in space to the Russians! Obama will not win Florida! Mack, will beat Nelson In Florida's Senate race as well!
Romney Ryan 2012!
I live in Florida! The I-4 corridor, as a matter of fact, and everyone I know is voting for Obama!! The problems in Florida are directly due to the policies of the Republican led administrations of the past...forever!!!! When Obama took office, Florida's unemployment was over 10!! It is now 8.2!! Rick Scott had nothing to do with it!!! He stalled every work opportunity we had, for as long as he could!! When he had to finally start the high speed rail, hire more public workers and invest in the local economies, not just the rich neighborhoods he adorned in his first year, jobs are coming back. Anyone, and I mean anyone, who attributes this to Scott or his cronies, is out of their mind!! Obama has tried to push for more help, Scott turns it down, even when it's paid for!!! You can't blame Obama for the failings of this Governor!! He bought his way into office with 72 million dollars of his own money!! The race was so close, it came down to a recount!! To say Florida is all Romney, is a joke!!!
I'm willing to bet they tell old Snookie-Joe they're voting for Willard just to shut her the f*ck UP!
As if anyone takes what the lonely broad says seriously! lmao
No matter how we look at this election it will be close.I live in a "red" state. And even in the red states the President will have many people voting for him. In the "Blue" states the President will carry those states, though Romney, sadly will also have quite a few voters.
If the Republican Congress had done their duty as Patriotic Americans and co-operated with the President and worked FOR AMERICA instead of AGAINST AMERICA the economy would have nearly fully recovered by now.And the lives of all Americans would have improved much faster. But given that they didn't want anything more than to obstruct the President. To make him a one term President it has taken much longer for him to bring us back from this recession. But he is doing it to their great chagrin.
The difference between the the Parties, could, for thinking Americans not be clearer. The Republicans have become over the years, the party of the 1%,the party that denies science, the party that embraces the most backward elements in our society.Racists, the ultra-religious Taliban-lite supporters, the anti-gay rights people, and those that believe women of the 1950's should be the model for women in 2012.They are the party today of exclusion. And they honestly believe that's what right for America.
The Democratic Party on the other hand has through the years been a party of inclusion. We believe in science. We believe that a sincere religious faith is not a license to force our beliefs on others. We believe that America can be great only if it doesn't deny civil rights to any of its citizens,White,Black,Hispanic,Asian. We believe in holding the door open for women's equality not closing it .
The difference between the two Presidential candidates are even more stark. The Republican candidate has shown himself throughout his life as a man that will say and do anything to win.On one hand during the 1960's he proclaimed himself in support of the Vietnam War,while making sure that he didn't have to serve our country over there.Instead letting another kid be sent in his place. In his highly touted "business" career instead of being a "job creator" he was infamous as a job destroyer.A man who "harvested" American companies, shipped American jobs overseas, and made a fortune off the misery of American workers and their families.During his election campaign he's employed lies and half-truths to cover up his real record as a businessman,as a governor, and as a man. Its worked for some American voters. Those that the Republicans have called "not the smart people".You see many of those people on these boards. But not for the majority of American voters, who the more they see of him the less they like.A man that when picking the person to run with him as Vice President chose the man with the worst voting record of supporting the middle-class in American politics.
President Obama,on the other side, has shown himself as an honest man,an intelligent man.Who deeply cares about all the American people.A man who inherited an America in the worst condition than at anytime since the Great Depression. And against the odds, has made great progress to improve our country. He is a man that unlike his opponent, had to struggle in youth to educate himself and came from a life of poverty,to the Presidency of the world's greatest country. He is a man that the middle-class and working poor Americans know understands their life and will always work for them.A President that when picking a Vice President chose a man whose whole career has been made standing up for the middle-class and the most disadvantaged of us.
Yes,the chose is clear. You either support Romney, and vote against America.Or you support the President and vote FOR AMERICA.
Vote Obama/Biden Nov 6th,its the right choice for America.
To Uncle Bob 512
I totally agree with your post above. I firmly believe that if Romney/Ryan are elected, we will as a society will go so far down hill that we will never make it back up. Every part of society will suffer, the retired, those heading toward retirement, working people, people looking for jobs, students, poor, and millitary families. Everyone except the 1% (wealthy). Those with the gold and fine furs and coats of many colors will hire some for food to guard their fine mansions so they can laugh at us because they could buy an election on lies.
I AM VOTING STRAIGHT DEMOCRATIC TICKET TO BREAK THE GRIDLOCK THE REPUBLICANS HAVE CREATED IN THE HOUSE. OBAMA/BIDEN 2012
Like I said a couple months ago, it's going to be Romney in a Land Slide. Romney's A-Kicking of Obama in the first debate, slightly winning the second and Obama's epic fail when it came to security in Libya....thus another debate loss tomorrow night for Obama. Romney 3-0 in debates and Obama's failed policies. Well, enough said.
On Nov 5 we will piggy we and will big.
Romney 2012 Because he has a plan
6 lol
Republicans really don't give a damn about the economy. They don't give a damn about healthcare. They don't care about women's rights nor human rights for all that matters. They do care about corporations to an extent. They farm them but really, this election really has very little to do with them either. This election is about something far more important than human rights, healthcare, taxations, economy, works protections, environmental economies etc, etc etc... This election is about doing anything they can to win as their prize are the potential 3-4 Supreme Judicial seats that will more than likely be vacated during this next four years. The tealibanians realize that with this presidency, they have the control of the Supreme Courts and can destroy and have this nation not being controlled by The Constitution Of The United States, but rather by their very own, rewritten version of the King James Version of their occult handbook. Whichever party controls the Presidency and Congress during the next four years are going to control the judicial and constitutional path of this nation for the next twenty years or longer. We do not need the Taliban in our government nor do we need any other radical religious cult filling it as well.
Obama has no known plan for a second term. Obama spends his days on the campaign trail attacking Romney with petty schoolyard trash talk. You never hear Obama say this is what I will do if re-elected, it is only scare tactics of what he claims will happen if Romney is elected. People fell for his hope and change hook line and sinker in 2008, and the country has suffered. Now Obama wants a second term but hasn't articulated a plan, and after four years of blame and excuses people are just not going to be as gullible this time around. No president has ever been so coddled by the mainstream media or there supporters like Obama, and the fact no one ever held him accountable is a big reason he failed. Obama was simply unqualified to be president, and no amount of blame, excuses, or playing the race card will ever change that fact.
Yep!
The Right is surging from the REAR!
LMAO!
Good Bye Barrak, Good Bye Michelle.... have a safe trip back to Chicago this January!
ROMNEY/RYAN 2012..... Believe in AMERICA!
Hold your nose and put on your waders, the right is describing it as a Tsunami!!
If Romney wins he won't get cooperation from the Democrats, in fact, the Republicans deserve nothing more than what they've given with Obama.....total obstruction.
Try leading with that Romney.
I just got all the Herman Cain is surging cleaned up, now this.
Eric,
As a Hispanic American I believe Governor Romney will work across the aisle. He has his entire public service career and will continue to do so. Heck, Obama could not even work with his Dem counterparts when he had a super majority his first two years of office. You want the evidence:
1). No immigration reform; not even an effort to get it done (broken promise)
2). Gitmo still open (broken promise).
A lot of people are into Obama like those poor folks followed Jim Jones down to Guyana many years ago, Seriously. Look at Obama's record. Look at the broken promises, I simply do not understand how anybody can look at those two items and vote for the guy. Boggles the mind. Maybe it is the free contraception for everybody.....geez......lololololo.
Let's not forget the Santorum surge. Seems these GOPTP candidates will not rest until the country is covered in sh!t.
If Americans were against obstruction then they should be voting most of the Republicans out of congress.
Obama did reach across the aisle, but Republicans decided on full obstruction prior to his inauguration.
Democrats had a supermajority (only if you count the two right leaning independents) for 5 month, not 2 years. With the total obstruction from the Republicans of course he couldn't accomplish what he wanted to accomplish.
Remember, it was Boehner that walked away from the 4 trillion dollar deal that Obama proposed. We could have a lower deficit now, and wouldn't have had the downgrade had Boehner agree.
Where is the rage at the obstructionism that Republicans have engaged in?
Truth Conveyer
Spanish people are smarter then Obama gives them credit for. A few kind words mean nothing without action.
2 weeks ago Obama dedicated Cesar Chavez's home as a National Monument. Had he done that 3 years ago it would have meant something but just before the election? It was a slap in the face!
Millions of Latinos that had jobs when George Bush was President have not found decent work since Obama came. Empty promises do not feed your family!
Junta Romney!
Eric-913730
There is a difference between blocking things that are bad for America and obstruction.
Most the things your claiming the Republicans obstructed were also voted down by the democrats.
Obamas budget voted down 100%, thats both sides o the isle.
Obamas new jobs plan?? Filled with huge tax increases plus the last time Obama did a jobs bill it cost the taxpayers $1 million dollars for every job it created.
FORWARD?????????
ERic,
Is this the first election you are eligible to vote in. I can see by your lack of critical thinking that you must be fresh out of high school.
I just think we are to a point with all the hatred and name calling this country (no matter who is elected)
is going to crash...... If Obama is elected - there is still going to be the hatred... If Romney is elected - who knows. 1. repeal Obamacare 2. No funds to planned parenthood 3. eliminate abortion - but yet reduce programs that will feed the ones that are born. 4. increase military spending in the name of "American Imperialism" 5. Keep redistributing the wealth to the top by way of reducing top rates and eliminating the estate tax. 6. Allow the pipeline from Canada... which does not create future jobs, but ruins the state's environments and then ships the oil out to other countries. 7. Privatize social security 8. Gives vouchers for insurance coverage... on and on.... oh well.
Eric, whomever wins will need to clean up the tax code, save Medicare and SS and first deal with Taxamegeddon. These are not new issues, just issues on which Obama has failed to lead.
well folks when you own the newspaper you can make the headlines read any way you want them to read. and that is what the cock brothers are doing to try and tilt them in their favor,, wait until the election and hopefully they will read that they have lost.
the ultra conservatives will do any thing and have,, ever wonder why no new media articles about the cheating in Florida about the scam of voter fraud,, guess what who controls the mews media,, the scum cock brothers,, why they could actually make some believe the sky is falling in ,,lol
Frank 739--- whatever the rest is...As a Hispanic you are belittling a man who gave millions of illegal young people some breathing room till a comprehensive immigration reform deal is reached, and giving support to a man who has told Hispanics that they should SELF DEPORT? Yeah, I can see how your brain works. No insult, but..it doesnt.
Soribee,
As a Hispanic who followed the rules and came here legally, I resent your implication above. I think you should note that you call out the term "illegal". What part of that do you not understand? The POTUS has created a different set of rules for some versus others....i.e, he does not practice what he preaches in regard to "everybody playing by the same rules".
Aside from that, he promised to create a comprehensive immigration plan in his first year of office (when he had a super majority BTW). The FACTOF THE MATTER is that he did nothing. Zero. Nada. Did not even float the idea.....what a joke.
Obviously he takes the Hispanic and African American vote for granted. I fell for it once....that is not going to happen again. The sad fact is that he lied to us as to what his REAL intent was in regard to immigration reform. Are we to believe that he will address now when he at best will have one part of the Congress that is Dems. Hell, he did not address it when he had super majority in the entirety of Congress. So please, do not insult me and like minded minorities that he champions our cause.....because he does not. Actions speak louder than words and his record has demonstrated his actions.
BTW, the African American unemployment rate is 15% overall and close to 50% for men. He is doing a bang up job there as well.
Pull your head out of the sand, people!
Vote early, vote often! I did!
Wrong again democrats are already coming forward saying that they want to sit down and work with President Romney
I feel sorry for all the teleprompter guys that will be looking for jobs next year.
Romney should become the spokesman for teleprompters after he loses the election, in the same way that Bob Dole was for Viagra. I'm sure if he did, and then invested capital in those same teleprompter company stocks, it wouldn't be long before he'd be able to add yet another zero behind all those other zeros, already stashed away in his many off shore bank accounts.
Seriously Republicans, do you not see the irony here? I know you love to dust off the old "Obama always uses a teleprompter" card that's been making the rounds since the last election, and wave it around like you'd just uncovered the last Willy Wonka 'golden ticket' but it just doesn't hold water, and certainly not with your choice of candidates.
If anyone could benefit off the use of a teleprompter, it would be Romney. Perhaps an investment in one might even have saved him from that whole 47 percent disaster, and the comments about trees being the right height, and when he said that Russia is our number one enemy, and that he misunderstood the question about contraceptives, so he's actually in favor of the Blunt amendment, after saying he wasn't, and every other important issue that he's on record as being for, before he was against, before he was for it again.
Now if you actually had a candidate that could deliver a semblance of a statement, or point of view for that matter, without stumbling all over himself, or creating a media nightmare in the process, then you might have a leg to stand on. Unfortunately for you, there's nothing near the quality of a Gettysburg Address coming out of his mouth, and you, Mr. Romney, are no Abraham Lincoln.
On second thought invest in a tape recorder instead, at least that way he could keep track of where he stands on issues from day to day.
Obama/Biden
Like Pelosi said in 2009, we won we write the bills. Or Obama when he said Republicans to the back of the bus. Yup, sure sounds like reaching across the isle to try and work together. You reap what you sow, and Obama went to Washington thinking he could bully his way around, and he never figured out that is not how you lead. Obama failed because of himself, and his inability to do the job.
"Axelrod pointed to state-level polls — including the NBC/WSJ/Marist polls this Thursday, which showed Obama leading by eight points in Iowa and six in Wisconsin — as evidence of the president's Electoral College firewall. "
Axelrod and NBC are best buds.
Which is the reason NBC did Axelrod's bidding and oversampled Democrats in MidWest swing states, so they can put up the fig leaf of the "Midwest firewall".
Other polls show a tie in Ohio and Wisconsin.
You aren't the only one who can see this reality HERE.
The question is, do YOU see any problem at FoxNews?
folks,, go vote and put those ultra conservatives back in the rear and where they belong,, let them follow and live like we working class folks.
leave our ss as is and medicare and make the insurance companies keep existing policies,, do not let them renig on existing policies,,
Even the most liberal poll - NBC/WSJ is concurring that Obama has continued to lose his lead of 3 points prior to the debates. With each debate Obama loses more percentage because the American people see what his past 4 years has produced...nothing! Obama has done the following:
1. Increased deficit to 16 Trillion...he added 4 more trillion in debt the last 4 years.
2. 67% of the American voters do not want Obamacare...yet he forced it on us.
3. Blamed the Libya attack on a movie...yet 2 weeks later said it was terriorists. He's out of touch with foreign events that caused 4 deaths of Americans.
4. Gave 98 Billion to green companies.....so far 13 of those companies have filed bankruptcy.
5. Gave 150 Million (stimulus package funds) to unemployed factory workers to play cards and board games.
6. Cancelled Christian Day at the White House - first US president to ever do this!
7. Celebrated the Muslim holiday at the White House - first US president to do this!
8. First Lady Michelle admits that she is the proud of the US for the first time in her life...the day Barack gets sworn in for President.
9. Obama is compared to Jimmy Carter as the worst president in over 250 years.
10. The American people are smart and no longer drinking Obama's Kool-aid...he's voted out next month!!
Of course Richie, you have valid sources/links to your wild accusations?
Please share them with us...
Otherwise, crawl back to NewsforDumbFux, your dishonest talking points feel right at home over there!

Feisty, you really do not know of any of the damage that Mr. President Obama and Joe Biden have done to this country or how much it has cost, do you. Ignorance is not an excuse. You should check up on who you are voting for, yourself.
Romney and Ryan are not perfect by a long shot and not my choice, but I firmly believe they will do less damage to the United States and U.S. citizens than Mr. President Obama has done.
Romney/Ryan 2012
Silly Me!
For believing one of YOU could actually back up your bull@!$%#!
Then again, the truth isn't real high on the right wing nitwits list of priorities! lol
Thanks for playing - sorry we are out of lovely parting gifts!
Don't you DARE lecture me on ignorance, when you & your com-padres are wallowing in it!
Rich:
1. You say it like he was the only person who has spent money on behalf of the government in the past 40 years
2. Many people like me want single payer, medicare for all, which is why we don't like Obamacare.
3. All evidence still supports the attack was prompted by the video (although not spontanious).
4. Good.
5. Better give money to middle-class than to the wealthy
8. Be black for a week and tell me what you think of America
9. Opinion.
10. wont happen
Romney would be sad to hear about all that cash in Cheney's* basement (Of course, this is mere speculation, harmless): America has nothing left to loot.
*Hey, his rented heart didn't keel over yesterday, YAY. Another bowl of pills, and it's gonna be a Great Day.
D -
Then why have the wealthy gotten wealthier under Obama?
Oh, and on number 8 - Michelle did say that it was the 1st time she was proud of her country when her husband received the democratic nomination in 2008. It was actually on the news, so fact, not opinion - unless you are referring to Michelle's opinion.
And, yes, Obama is worse than Carter - by a long shot.
Obama will be voted out in November - count on it! And if he is stupid enough to try to declare martial law when he loses, freedon-loving Americans will take back the country and try him for treason - along with anybody who supports him.
Hate to break it to the Tammy's of the country, but your opinion simply doesn't matter. You might want to recheck those silly little likability polls, you know, the ones where Romney is about as likable as a turd left in the toilet bowl.
Feisty sounds rather befuddled today. Nothing to worry about, Mitt wins soon. Then you can return to your former position.
RedDevPS-
First of all, you have no clue as to my political party affiliation. Actually, I'm not fond of any of them.
Next time you try to trash someone, look in the mirror. I'm sure you'll find the garbage you're looking for.
Gee tammy, I guess your relatives weren't kidnapped and brought to this country legally, in chains. I guess you don't care that when the country was founded women and blacks were not counted as equal. Are you proud of that? Do you believe in Human evolution Tammy ? Do you think the Earth is only a few thousand years old? That's what leaders of your party believe. Are you proud of that? Try getting some facts into your life.
Rich -- When you start out your list by saying that Obama "increased the deficit to 16 trillion" you lose all credibility. Clearly you don't know what the difference is between the debt and a yearly deficit.
You have shown that your knowledge of the nation's economy is extremely low, so I won't confuse you with even more detailed discussion concerning the cost of stopping the great recession or debt-GDP %s.
Poor little 31years, he throws a nasty vile punch, and when you swing back, he howls and cries like banshee whore. If it smells like a TPGOP coward, it must be a TPGOP coward.
Rich....... your racism is showing.......
I probably care more about my personal freedom. I was raised Mormon same time Romney was.... Unless you were raised Mormon, you would not understand the attitude and concepts of what women are supposed to be and do. I do not want the concept of the government telling me what to believe or how to live my life. I do not want to go back to the dark ages.
Tammy: provide a source that Mrs. Obama said that she was proud of her country for the first time when her husband received the nomination.
Or apologize.
Okay. I'm curious.
Richie, do explain. What is "Muslim Day." What is "Christian Day".
Quit making stuff up.
NDDR - I believe she stated "For the first time in my adult life, I am really proud of my country because it feels like hope is finally making a comeback,". There are numerous articles and fact checks about what she said and later what she supposedly meant. Google the quote and take your pick.
Yes, sfcret. That is what she said. Which is independent of the President's nomination. This comment has been blown out of all proportion by those on the right.
At least, be honest.
Rich-827064 post#5
Even the most liberal poll - NBC/WSJ is concurring that Obama has continued to lose his lead of 3 points prior to the debates. With each debate Obama loses more percentage because the American people see what his past 4 years has produced...nothing! Obama has done the following:

National Day of Prayer established 1952-President Harry S. Truman, set as the 1st Thursday in May-President Ronald Reagan, President Obama issued traditional Presidential Proclamation but chose not to observe it with ceremony at the White House. cbsnews.com
huffingtonpost.com - The Jummah Prayer on Capitol Hill event was a one-time only event that was coordinated by the Dar-ul-Islam mosque in Elizabeth, N.J., said Imam Ali Jaaber, who attended the Sept. 25, 2009, event. It was privately organized and never was billed as a National Day Of Prayer. In fact, the two Muslim members of Congress did not attend. Hassen Abdellah, board president at Dar-ul-Islam, organized the event in response to positive remarks by Obama in his inaugural speech and another speech five months later in Egypt about welcoming and acknowledging the presence of Muslims in the United States, Jaaber said. Also, Capitol Hill is more than a mile from the White House, not beside it. And, "Muslim" is not a religion; a person who follows the religion of Islam is a Muslim.
Foxnews.com 19 February 2008 - Good article, gives information from both sides.
I haven't any idea and truthfully didn't bother to look it up as we have only been electing Presidents since 1781 (231 years) Personally I think it is a toss up between the two Presidents (Carter v. Obama)
I think this is more a personal observation rather than a political point.
Feisty Redhead Roselle, IL
Please note that not all have links, some have text (both from the article and personal opinion) I have tried to be fair. I have also refrained from either name calling, slurs and injecting my personal political views.
Kathey Mattes,
You have responded in a dignified manner as opposed to that of the petulant children here.
It's not clear how much the national polls matter when the race is this close. Given the way the Electoral College works, it's perfectly possible for one candidate to win the popular vote, which would presumably be reflected in these polls, but still lose the election. This scenario would still tend to lean towards Obama, who still holds a lead in electoral votes based on the big states where he holds a clear lead, so unless the national polls show a clear lead for Romney, they probably don't really mean that much.
And, of course, Romney still has to survive the debate on Foreign Policy, a subject on which he had zero experience, relies heavily on his Neocon advisers, and is therefore completely clueless.
It's a little early for the Republican victory dances.
Obama still has to survive the debate on Foreign Policy, a subject on which he has clearly FAILED, he relies heavily on his "political" advisers, and is therefore completely clueless.
It's a little early for the Democrat victory dances.
ROMNEY/RYAN 2012..... Bdelieve in AMERICA!
What don't like abou this foriegn policy?
Trade agreement with Korea?
Exiting Iraq?
Deporting more illegal immigrants than any other POTUS?
Killing bin Laden?
Romney makes a "good will" trip to select countries in Europe and manages to offend the British, our closest allies. I'd say that he's already failed, unless he's trying to alienate the few countries that the last Republican administation didn't piss off. In that event, he's succeeded brilliantly.
The suggestion that the Obama administration's foreign policy is anything but exemplary is simply ignorant of reality. Beyond that, the idea that Romney can survive even a modestly detailed discussion of foreign relations is naive. Russia is our greatest threat? Really? Crack down on China? Before or after you ship the Sensata factory jobs there? Send troops to Syria? Have you looked at a map of the world lately?
The very suggestion is ridiculous.
Romney knows how to do a "gotcha" better now, I think.
Momentum for Mit, hmmm catchy, but which Mit, the middle Mit, or the extreme Mit, seems a candidate whose opinions change direction like the wind would be better off running for dog catcher, at least that way no new wars would be started on inaugeration day and the American citizens could again trust that all the things they work for will still be there in the future. I for one believe the debt crises started with the bush tax cuts and the end of the debt crises will begin when we let them expire. Let's be responsible and pay our bills, there is no such thing as a free lunch ;well maybe for venture capitalists!
To all of you saying Romney has zero foreign policy experience....what about Obama? How long was he in the senate before being elected? Please remind me. Before all you lefties and righties start bashing each others candidates and each other...stop and look at the big picture.
Our economy is in the toilet.
Unemployment is VERY high.
Why must you bigots sit and hack at each other? Cleary, the President has done NOTHING to stop the unemployment rate from climbing or getting us out of fiscal poverty.
Sure, sit there and blame BUSH (hmm...he's been out for 4 years). IMHO Romney is the lesser of two evils. But Obama has had his chance. He f*cked up. Give someone else a chance. Perhaps if all you armchair quarterbacks would spend time volunteering for the candidate of your choice instead of being internet bullies this world would be a little better off.
Romney/Ryan 2012
You're' not paying attention, or you simply don't want to.
If Romney were President, our 4 Americans in Benghazi would still be alive. That is all the foreign policy Romney needs.
Sheer fantasy. If Romney were President, he would think Benghazi was the name of the Prime Minister of Israel.
tim,
"If Romney were President, he would think Benghazi was the name of the Prime Minister of Israel."
Yes, and he would also probably think Disraeli was an Israeli.
Really? Given the current GOP animosity towards international affairs (and government spending, in general), what makes you think that the State Department would have been willing to spend the money for security in Libya? Or, even had it to spend, if Romney were President?
I thought Romney didn't believe in polls.
ssmith, failed foreign policy? The President has achieved more on that front than any President since Reagan, and he didn't have the opportunity to go up against the USSR so who knows what would have happened.
For the GOP to be counting on a surge now is pretty pathetic. I've already cast my vote and I'm hardly the only one. He needed a surge several weeks ago if he wanted to catch up to Obama in the electoral college vote.
Romney himself is mostly popular with hard core bigots and people that are completely unwilling to ever vote for a Democrat, given the years of base shrinking, I can't imagine how Romney can possibly expect to win at this point.
Republicans say a lot of bs. Doesn't mean any of it's true.
So do we Dems. However, our guy isn't a laughingstock,
he's merely a failure in his detractor's eyes.
Well, see, the problem?
The number of detractors, many of whom were, formerly, supporters.
Wave Aloha, person-with-offensive-handle. He, the wife, the kids, and the mother-in-law are off to Hawaii. Heck, he probably will not make it back for Romney's inauguration.
He's that kind of guy.
no joe, no bo, nj,
"Wave Aloha, person-with-offensive-handle. He, the wife, the kids, and the mother-in-law are off to Hawaii. Heck, he probably will not make it back for Romney's inauguration.
I think you guys are getting your hopes inflated way out of all proportion and may be setting yourselves up for a major disappointment after Nov 6. And speaking of offensive handles, yours is pretty offensive, too!
Republicans lie? Doesn't every politician. The difference here is that this particular liar is KILLING this country and I don't listen polls. I see my community and know that not only is he going to lose? He's gonna lose big. He's done NOHING! Oh, wait yes he has. He shoved that p.o.s. health care bill down our throats and now I get to pay for my health care insurance for the first time! My employer has been paying for my healthcare since I got hired (I work in a level II trauma center). Now thanks to that friggin panty waste and the panty wastes that went behind closed doors to construct that sham of a bill? I get to pay and with gas and food and bills increasing at an insane rate? That makes me all warm and fuzzy. Actually? I'm enraged........he has GOT to go. I'd vote for my dogs fleas before I put that loser back in for 4 more years and all these libs here are mentally ill to stick by your party at the ruination of this country. Please move to Greece.
Foolsstillbelieve,
"I'd vote for my dogs fleas before I put that loser back in for 4 more years and all these libs here are mentally ill to stick by your party at the ruination of this country."
I already voted, and I can assure you that your dog's fleas are not on the ballot. Perhaps you can try a write in in favor of your dog's fleas, though, but I am not sure it would be accepted since there is more than just one, I'm sure.
Vote straight democratic ticket to move us forward as the greatest nation in the world. no romney, no ryan, no 2012.
obama/biden 2012
Michael,
"Vote straight democratic ticket to move us forward"
Thanks for the suggestion. I already did vote a straight Democratic ticket, except for one local Republican politician who was running unopposed for a local seat. If I had known of a Democratic politician whose name I could have written in, I would have done that, too. But I didn't know of anyone else to put on the ballot instead of him so I had no choice but to vote for him.
C'mon - where are you guys hiding Dubya and Darth Cheney? Must be in the same location as Robme's long-form tax returns.......
Leave Cheney alone: I get to die first.
I want to know he kept wheezing long after I went to rest.
repub,
Still on those tax returns? Can't let go of them and the last Al Gore race to the bottom, can you?
Call up Senate Leader Harry Reid; he has the tax returns that show MYTH hasn't paid taxes in years. Remember his statements on the Senate floor?
So where are the returns Harry Reid?
Yeah, right under your messiah's REAL birth certificate.
1funny, everybody else running for President has released their records going back like a hundred years. Any cabinet nominee is required to release those records. And Romney is only able to manage what 2 years? He may not having anything to hide, but it sure does look suspicious.
And JC, precisely why does the President have to release more documentation of his birth? Apart from a minority of hard core bigots, everybody else accepts that the President really was born where and when he claims to be. I still haven't heard a convincing explanation as to how he managed to go back in time and fake those birth announcements.
The posts from the lefticles are all the same. They comment about the past. They do not have a forward thinking mentality, always blaming Bush or talking about the past.
Just like Obama, backward looking. He wants to take us into the future but leading from the past. BS.
We need a president who is forward looking and has a vision to build the country and not a vision ot take us into socialism.
The blind sheeple will vote for their candidate not matter what. They love their rockstar. Too bad, they will let anyone from Illinois. vote.
You need a license to drive but anyone can vote and in Illinois.
Not a big fan of democracy, eh?
Must be a republican- you and your buddies spent the last few years focusing on how to restrict voting rights instead of helping the economy.
Here's to the America that the forfathers didn't want.
A Conservative complaining about Progressives only looking backwards. Oh, the irony.
My self-named business has done GREAT with Obama, and I'm looking forward to another four.
When I'm not being alarmed at Mitt's ability to keep angered supporters.
_Paladin
Do we really need a president who looks forward to putting on what he believes is "MAGIC UNDERWEAR" everyday? Think about it... he believes his underwear are magical... does this not give you pause in your own rational outlook of things? Speaking of blind sheepie!!!
Don't even worry about the Republicans.Like the saying goes "you can't fix stupid".Just go out and vote. That's what we can do to bring America together. Don't let them steal another election.
Vote Obama/Biden Nov 6th 2012.
Obamacare is about looking forward to the ever increasing expenditures in health care and dealing with it on a long term basis.
The green energy funding is something that's forward looking.
The only times I see Bush brought up is when the connies whine about how the economy isn't improving. Well, the economy is improving, and it's largely the result of decisions made by President Bush. Unless of course you can prove that Obama caused the economic problems that existed prior to him being President through Presidential activities.
Considering that connies are all about the past and bringing us back there, I'm not sure how they could bring us to anything better.
But, it's a moot point as Romney is unelectable at this point. He's failed to give anybody a compelling reason to vote for him. The comments here pretty much prove that. I don't see many people supporting him for any reason other than him not being the President. Speaks volumes. The Scholastic survey of high schoolers is also something that's suggestive. The kids taking the survey don't vote, but they do have parents that do and kids tend to vote the way their parents do for the first few years.
pass the bull sh-t oh i mean mustard.tea nuts
bank bail outs..2 wars on a credit card...oh lets cut benifits that's the problem huh tea nuts
I wouldn't blame it on the Tea Party. Those six people are still Americans to me.
I just won't have them eating off the "good" Stoneware.
Win or lose on Nov. 7th Rove's Zombies and Trolls will be out of a job. Karl will take a long overdue vacation before starting his work on the 2014 Congress races and working with his defense lawyers on his indictments for election fraud.
I think there's a divide the missing Iraqi cash party brewing.
Many, many favors to be settled yet, and Romney getting elected is supposed to "do" most of them.
I live in Texas...Iwill vote for obama monday...but the rest of the Texans are retards
look what Perry has done for Texas...cut cut cut...they are made at Perry and mad at Obama??????
Keep in mind: I have well-to-do neighbors who just cannot admit to strangers that they intend to vote against Mitt.
Appearances, ya know.
What else do you expect them to say....that Romney is losing??? Really why is this news....Romney's campaign will say he has momentum, Obama's campaign will say they have momentum.
FIRST coherent and relevant post here!
but...but....but....Chuck Todd, Obama disciple, DNC advocate and MSNBC employee just said your are wrong!
What happened to Obama in the polls?, he was ahead in every category just three weeks ago before his first devastating debate? I thought incumbents were supposed to be ahead in the polls.....not drop in them the closer we get to election day?......hmmmmm.....sounds like a Romney/Ryan landslide!
If the American public knew the control the LDS church has over its members and the extent of the brainwashing and strange rituals this church conducts ie (baptism for the dead), they would not even consider Mitt as an option. When i met my wife of 5 years she was running full speed from this wacko religion and has never looked back. Having lived in Utah for 33 years i can tell you that the Prophet and his cronies will have control over this nation if Mitt is elected. This is no sunday religion, it would be more appropriately compared to Islam than Christianity, do some research people, the largest paper in utah endorsed Obama this week for a reason.
Mitt isn't going to win, no need to worry.
The fuzziest of Math does not favor it.
"Psephologists will attribute the Democrat victory to "Obama Republicans", millions of Republicans who will vote for Obama, as in 2008. They will characterize such Obama Republicans as southern whites and northern blue collar workers who will vote for Obama because they credit him with the economic recovery, see Obama as strong on national security issues, and perceive the Republicans as supporting the "One Percent" at the expense of the middle class."
It will be the inverse of 1984's election results. Barak is the Democrat's Reagan.
My own cut-and-paste act.
Butah..... I totally understand. I was raised Mormon same time period as Romney. No one else understands the power that the "President" "Prophet" of the church will have with Romney's decisions.
It scares the hell out of me.
To address Bucket from an earlier post--I studied this Religion in detail in weekly classes with a mormon deacon, I know what I am talking about. I believe this is what you said. Fact is, you didn't study very well. A deacon in the Mormon church is a boy 12-14 years of age.
Now to Butah and padikit=Yes, we as members of the church do try to live our faith 7 days a week. Some of our time is helping our neighbors, having on Monday evening, what we call family home evening. A time to spend quality time with our family. Our church encourages us to pray, care for the poor, visit members of our church. We do have activities going on at church like socials. Maybe they are just pot luck dinners with some kind of entertainment, like putting on a play, or someone playing an instrument or whatever. During the week we hold boy scouts, and a girls program called young women where they learn all kinds of skills even how to do basic things on cars. Then there is a combining of the two groups called mutual. The boys and girls with adult supervision present may play vollyball or basketball and have refreshments, something like that. But what you guys don't understand is, no one tells me that I have to be involved in everything that is going on in the church. I have been a member for 38 years and I have never been forced to do anything. I give of myself to others on my own. As far as our Prophet telling Mitt Romney what to do, I don't believe that will happen no more than he tells Harry Reid what to do. I believe Mitt Romney is a good family man but I believe he has got caught up in money is more important than what is right and what is wrong. I don't believe I have ever seen a candidate change positons on all major issues like Mitt Romney. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of LDS (Mormon) I plan to vote for President Obama. My church does not tell me who to vote for and I will not vote for Romney because he will hurt the majority of the people in our country as he takes care of the rich, 1%. Romney's ideas and direction will devastate our country.
Obama/Biden 2012 for America
Well, he sure didn't look like he was trying to win for you in the last debate: Romney Phoned It In!
Two weeks ago conservatives insisted that all of these polls were total BS.
Just their spineless leader Willard Romney, they're too happy to change their minds and support the thing they used to think was BS.
Just more republican bs ....
The Polls are BS, Romney/Ryan are a lot further ahead than they reflect....LOL
all Churches are uniting ..now... electing our members...bad times ahead there name tea party..they once were divided the churches
Romney has to be at least tied now, because he used to be losing and you know he can't keep the same position on anything for more than 2 days.
lol, I had to reread that a couple times, but spot on. Now that you mention it, he is still Mormon, right? I don't recall him flip flopping on that or the rich thing yet.
Why are you guys keeping Dubya and Darth Cheney under wraps? Could it be that you want the voters to forget the failed republican policies that got us into this mess in the first place?
yes....they want a war leader again R/R..
I know our troops will be safer with a better set of Rules of Engagement than they Currently have?
all churches...will give the image back the catholic church...its in the making people..right in front of your eyes...church and state holding hands..in due time the future....that's the mark of the beast..meaning mark of a nation..this is there agenda..R/R
you tea party are just like the scribes and Pharisees...Christ like.outwardly

elvis,
"all churches...will give the image back the catholic church"
What would Hollywood do without the Catholic Church? I think almost every horror movie that has ever been made involves the Catholic Church in some way. Prophecy, the Omen, the Exorcist; there are just too many to name. They all have the Catholic Church as a major player. That's because the Catholic Church has that mysterious mystique about it that most Protestant churches lack. Hollywood would go broke with the Catholic Church.
Fascism is coming in the name of God...R/R
Revenues/Sales are at record levels for the Pollsters and TV Advertising Execs., all the network media sales people are fat and happy thanks to the spending of SuperPACs. The Citizen United decision has been a windfall money maker for Madison Ave. and the Corporate owners of the Main Stream Media. Bet they can't wait for another contentious political campaign and profit even more off a ' Divided America.
It would be interesting to dig up Romney's polygamist past and the age of his ancestors wives, Joseph Smith's youngest wife was 12, not okay. They would all be still practicing polygamy if our great nations government had not put a stop to that.
Remember what Willard stated(didn't know he was being recorded) about 47% of Americans:
Speaking to a group of like-minded conservatives, Mitt Romney disses the 47% of Americans who, he claims, "are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it."
Raise your hand if you:
AND OF COURSE, DON'T FORGET, ROMNEY'S OWN GRANDFATHER RECEIVED A GOVERNMENTAL HANDOUT-WELFARE, WHEN HE NEEDED ASSISTANCE. Did I mention his running mate collecting SOCIAL SECURITY.....???? LOOK THAT UP TOO!!!!
And your party kills babies
Romney has yet to meet another male Romney that isn't his grandfather, father, uncle, nephew and son. Snap - that'll get me a slap from Tagg.
Oh wait Obamanot-509462.....You probably don't believe in evolution either! You probably don't believe a woman has a right to choose abortion even if that woman is raped(YES LEGITIMATE RAPE,) or if that woman's life is at stake. But lets see what old FLIP-FLOP Willard had in mind, when he was a supporter of abortion, prior to his being against abortion.....
Abortion burned as a front burner issue in 1994. Romney established himself as a
passionate supporter of abortion rights early on in the campaign, despite his
personal opposition to abortion. In fact, his professed views would grow more
liberal over the course of the race. Romney initially said he opposed Medicaid
funding for abortion. He later softened that position to say he favored leaving
the question of coverage up to the states. Romney also endorsed the legalization
of RU-486, the abortion-inducing drug, and appeared in June at a fund-raiser for
Planned Parenthood. Ann Romney gave the group $150.
Romney asserted that his family had supported a woman's right to a safe,
legal abortion ever since the October 1963 death of his brother-in-law's sister,
Ann Hartman Keenan, from complication following an illegal abortion.

Romney, by Kranish & Helman, p,183 , Jan 17, 2012
Don't worry, if elected Romany will appoint those conservatives Judges to the Supreme Court that will strike down ROE VS WADE......Ge I wonder whom is gonna pay for all those unwanted babies....the government???? Hey, how big is your house Obamanot maybe you have the room for some little ones?
Things are not looking good. I'm just turning 54 the cut off date for R/R end to Social Security/Medicare. I have yet to figure out what I'm supposed to do. Do I get a check for everything I've put into it? If that's the case what then, invest it in the stock market where tomorrow it will all be in some one else's hands and I'll never see it again? I'm not going to live like some of the poor people in other countries off of UN food where my food is rationed out in sacks of rice. Why it is these politicians have excellent retirement/health packages while the average American will have nothing is beyond me. Romney doesn't need any of it and as far as I'm concerned he doesn't' deserve any of it. Let them do as they want us to do and fend for them selves. No retirement and No health insurance!
You mention Romney's Grandfather, he left the United States after coming here and after getting government assistance because he was being investigated for polygamy, which he was guilty of. He no doubt said the hell with America I'm going to Mexico where I can live the way I want to, no doubt denouncing his citizenship on his way across the border. Romney's Father on the other hand being born in Mexico decided he wanted to come to America where he might have a better life, just as millions have done before and after him. That makes Romney's Father an illegal in my eyes, a cheat, a thief and a liar! I have a half brother born in Canada by my American mother and he is listed as a Nationalized Citizen, yes he had to fulfill the requirements (learn the constitution) to become American. He unlike Romney or his Father, served in the United States Marines. I really don't know why anyone would vote for Romney unless they are just doing because of race. The President has done everything he can to make things better and things are getting better. Romney on the other hand thinks he is making things better by starting companies that pay part time minimum wage (Staples and Sports Authority) and sending thousands of jobs overseas. I think Romney watched the movie Pretty Women with Julia Roberts and Richard Gear but didn't see the end of it where Richard Gear became the good guy. According to the man that created JetBlue (another Mormon) he ran his business the way the "church programmed me". Is this how the Church programmed Romney? It seems to me to be Satins greatest work up until now. What are next, food lines? I suppose if you want Jesus to come back we first have to starve, and kill each other as it suggests in Romney's Bible.
First of all if you read the Bible and you are doing what you are supposed to like not lying and causing disharmony every little whipstitch and keep your faith in God and Jesus you will be okay.In our paper in Illinois they showed where some church had on its church sign that was Obama was a muslim and a communist. That shows me first they are not very well versed at religion and God and even Obama and second of all and maybe first I think it would be more appropriate to say it was Satans house that had the sign there. Read the Bible and see for yourself. Doesn't it say also that false prophets will appear in sheeps clothing? I think the republicans have been taken over by Satan or they wouldn't be acting like they are. And republicans, Satan will lose.
ktlin60,
"I think the republicans have been taken over by Satan or they wouldn't be acting like they are."
I think you may be on to something there. Would it be possible to do an exorcism on an entire political party, I wonder? Driving all those demons out could be a tricky undertaking.
Hussein Ostumbler- "I did not have sex with that video."
So do your posts.
Your attempts at humor are incomprehensible. Please clarify, wait don't bother. If you have to explain it....
the end is near...but not what you people think...it will come from withen...R/R
You know elvis payne the end might be near. With 50% of the population always at odds with one another and no one seemingly in the middle anymore it's a miracle that a Civil War has not occurred. Most likely the only reason Civil War is not occurring is due to the strong government we have. Their is more than one reason the government keeps a strong military and with a strong military civil war is, thankfully, much harder to ignite. But thats as far as we agree elvis. The bigotry, polarized population, and an energized right wing full of fanatics is the only reason this presidential race is even close. Romney has made so many promises he has failed and not even reached office yet. Not to mention it looks very likely that the Democrats will control both houses of Congress. So in affect the republicans might win the battle and lose the war. Imagine another four years of gridlock. What a losing proposition for the American People. But then again with the American People split 50/50 down the middle what can you expect. The people in the middle use to decide these elections but those people have vanished. The radicalization of America by a radical right wing population that has many names. It's the tea party nuts, the right wing religious fanatics, right wing militias and hate groups, and I could go on. So yes maybe we will destroy ourselves from within but if so we richly deserve it. Obama & Biden 2012.
If it wasn't for the tea party in 2010 you probably be bowing or kneeling to OdumbO
Joe, 4 years of gridlock? Does that include the first two years when Democrats totally controlled both houses of Congress and the Presidency? Even when the Democrats were in control there was gridlock. So don't blame it on the Republicans. I don't think Democrats will win contol of the House, and It looks like they may loose control of both the Senate, and the White House, which they deserve to loose after the terrible proformance they have done. Obama has not done anything to lower the national Debt, instead he almost doubled it. He complaned about Bush raising it by 5 Trillion in 8 years and he raised it 6 trillion in 4 years. All the wrong things are continully growing like food stamps, the number of unemployeed, and he is worried about Big Bird. The man has no clue on how the real world works. The Press gives him a free ride while our foriegn nationals get killed. He has not kept one important promise that he made, Democrats say Romney is a lier, but can't see the the worse lies that Obama says everyday, and he lies right to their faces on tv debates with a stright face. I thank God there is the Tea Party, who's goal it is, to reign in spending. This spending 1.3 Trillion dollars more then the government takes in is crazy. If the people did it, we would be thrown in prison. Then all the scandles, what happended to Transparentcy? Obama took a bad situation and made it much worse. At least Romney has a record of fixing problems. Obama's record stands on it's own merit.
Let's see. Even though the Democrats had control of both houses of congress, the Republicans filibustered the hell out of every bill. And because of that, instead of having a simple majority to get things passed, you need a SUPER majority to avoid the filibuster. Screw the republicans. If elected, Romney will ruin the economy and get us into world war 3.
300Michael put up or shut up. The Democrats had both houses "locked up" as in veto proof majority in the Senate for about 2 months thanks to that low life in Minnesota that refused to admit that he lost his race to Al Franken. With the GOP threatening to filibuster everything in order to increase their chances at the Presidency in 2012, what precisely are the Democrats supposed to have done?
Seriously, the GOP had that infamous meeting about saying no to every proposal that the Dems provided.
