Calling for patience on the economy, first lady asks for early support at the polls

Gregory Shaver / AP

About 2,500 people gathered to see First lady Michelle Obama speak Friday during a campaign event at Memorial Hall in Racine, Wis.

RACINE, WI -- Days before early voting begins here in Wisconsin, first lady Michelle Obama told an audience of several thousand people Friday to get to the polls ahead of election day, declaring that the work of her husband, President Barack Obama, is "all on the line."

"Early voting starts here in Wisconsin on Monday," Obama said, before explaining that new or unregistered voters could register on the spot at polling locations.

It was the latest plea from the first lady to vote early, delivered in yet another state that will open its polls in advance of November 6th.

In late September, on the second day polls were open in Iowa, Obama urged students at the University of Northern Iowa to visit a so-called satellite polling station the campaign had opened on campus for that day only.

And Monday, Obama told college students in Cleveland to vote early in Ohio -- declaring she had that day voted by mail in Illinois.

Early voting will be available this election cycle in a total of 32 states and the District of Columbia.

The Obama campaign hopes that by encouraging early commitments, it can create early gains even as it pushes a message on the economy that dismisses snap judgment and calls for patience.

Here in Racine County, a Democratic area south of Milwaukee, Obama told voters that while "we still have a long way to go to completely rebuild our economy," there are signs "every day" that things are looking up.

"The stock market has doubled.  Exports have grown by 45-percent.  Manufacturers have added 500-thousand jobs," Obama said.  "Do you hear me?" she added, growing animated.

The first lady's visit comes as an NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist poll shows the president leading Republican nominee Mitt Romney by six points among likely voters, 51 to 45 percent.

But it also comes days after a testy debate on Long Island, N.Y., in which Romney argued that improvements to the economy haven't come fast enough.

The first lady's message Friday seemed in part a response.

"Real change is hard and it requires patience and tenacity," she said, adding later, "You see your president? How calm he is? How forward thinking he is? That is a lesson for all of our young people."

Earlier, Obama said that listening to her husband "talk about his values" during Tuesday's debate "makes me fired up and ready to go, too."

My lovely bride and I will be dropping our ballots off tomorrow, but the President pretty much has Washington in the bag already.

Last weekend, we took an overnight trip to the eastern part of our fair state, and noted with equal parts of surprise and pleasure that Obama/ Biden and Inslee for Governor seemed to outnumber Romney/Ryan and McKenna sign in people's yards and fields by better than 2 to 1. Eastern Washington is usually pretty conservative, at least by the standards of the Far Left Coast, but our Washington farmers and ranchers are a canny lot, and it appears that they're fully aware that the Koch Stepsons have nothing to offer America except further plundering of the productive class by the ruling class- and they've had plenty of that, thank you very much!

First of all, Congratulations on your new marriage.

Eastern Washington is not the only place in the USA which has seen the Koch fueled Romney is a vulture capitalist and a FAKE, so has most of America. I was looking at the absentee ballots for women and Latinos under 30 tonight on MSNBC being @81% .

I bet you won't hear that from FOX NOISE and the FOX Nationalist! I find it hilarious
FOX NOISE has pivoted from the "war on women" to President Obama has destroyed the economy and no record to run; but MYTH can fix it.

No MYTH can't. The curtain has been back and people know see MYTH is a vulture captalist and the GodFather of Bain's shipping jobs overseas.

Begging for early voting before the truth of Benghazi comes out this weekend and on Monday. You can say what you want about Romney but Obama is the most despicable president in the history of this country. Okay Mr. President you told Jon Stewart the deaths were not "optimal" and as you got information you gave it to the American people. Now show us the real time video of the attack. Obama is a miserable liar and is covering up the deaths of four brave Americans who suffered a needless death in vain.

Wow... The first lady begging for votes... will they step to new lows tomorrow? I guess they really do follow the democrat motto... vote early and vote often.

If this isn't a sign of desperation, nothing is. The work of her husband is all on the line... I guess he'll lose the grooves in the White House bowling alley if he's ejected from living there. His bowling score will go down.

What other work will he lose? He won't be campaigning any more, so that work will be gone by default win or lose.

If Obama loses the election, I will be glad his work will be lost. Maybe our troops will be allowed to use live ammunition in Afghanistan again... Maybe our embassy's will have some beefed up security. Maybe even the economy will actually start growing in normal levels, instead of like a snail. Maybe the endless QE programs will be halted... and inflation will stop. Obama's work has been to destroy this nation and I'm all for him losing that work.

Rburn, I understand Romney because I am not a liberal. I don't question what he says... in retrospect, I didn't understand Obama in 2008 when he never defined "hope and change." You have to admit, that worked out so good for him, he refuses to use it in 2012. "Forward?" What the hell is that supposed to mean? Forward to where? I don't want to go in his forward.

I don't hear Romney blaming anyone... nor do I hear Romney making any excuses...

See you liberals have hitched your wagons onto Obama... so while he's leading from behind, you have no idea where he's going... He certainly hasn't stated any direction other than same ol, same ol.

I have a lot of admiration for Romney. I think he's a positive, big picture thinker... his history proves it. Now you may not understand what that means, but that's not my problem. Obama can't think beyond his nose. He hasn't the skills or the life experience. He's proven that over and over again.

I place my trust in someone who understands economic conditions and has a plan I can agree with. We conservatives know you don't like oil, coal or any abundant energy source we have under our feet... and that distorts your view of someone that want's to promote getting it from here... you'd much rather be dependent on the middle east, or Mexico, or Canada for energy.

Funny... it seems the tide has turned against your candidate... and from now until the election I can only imagine the insults and lies coming from the left.

Before anyone even considers voting for Romney, Google: "Bainport IL," and take a look at RomneyWorld . . . .

170 American jobs, out-sourced to China, and the Sensata plant closed, despite 3rd Q net profits of $500,000,000 - $500M is apparently not enough.

why? greed. instead of paying American workers $17 an hour, they can pay Chinese workers .99.

Romney owns 51% of the stock in Sensata - he reported $800,000+ profit from Sensata on his last tax return.

the town council sent him a letter asking for help - he never even bothered to answer.

before you blame Obama for unemployment in this country - and before you decide Robme is going to suddenly start creating jobs (for Americans, not the Chinese) - look into Bainport/aka, Freeport Ill.

Then VOTE! O & JOE!

Begging for early voting before the truth of Benghazi comes out this weekend and on Monday. You can say what you want about Romney but Obama is the most despicable president in the history of this country

Ben, what's despicable is those a**holes wasting tax dollar when Congress isn't even in session. If they wanted to do something productive when calling a special session, they could work on passing a J-O- B-S bill which they voted against 30 times.

Chaffetz, alongside firebug/@!$%# Darrell Issa, convened a special meeting of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee for the sole purpose of scoring political points out of the death of Ambassador Chris Steven’s. At the time, the meeting was seen as just another disgusting and cynical attempt by Congressional Republicans to provoke the idiotic tabloid nature of the cable news cycle into somehow blaming the Obama Administration for whatever bad things happen in the world. However, as Dana Milbank reports today, Chaffetz’s idiocy also managed to accomplish something even worse than the usual wasting of taxpayer money to investigate right wing conspiracy theories; this time they managed to blow the cover of an entire platoon of CIA Officers:

Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) was the first to unmask the spooks. “Point of order! Point of order!” he called out as a State Department security official, seated in front of an aerial photo of the U.S. facilities in Benghazi, described the chaotic night of the attack. “We’re getting into classified issues that deal with sources and methods that would be totally inappropriate in an open forum such as this.”

Mind you that Chaffetz already admitted that he proudly voted to cut the State Department’s budget for securing facilities like the one attacked on 9/11/2012, despite pleas from Hillary Clinton herself that the cuts put American personnel in danger. Now the dude decides to play cowboy on a national stage for the benefit of his party’s electoral chances, and he manages to expose a clandestine CIA hideout.

A State Department official assured him that the material was “entirely unclassified” and that the photo was from a commercial satellite. “I totally object to the use of that photo,” Chaffetz continued. He went on to say that “I was told specifically while I was in Libya I could not and should not ever talk about what you’re showing here today.”

GREAT JOB @!$%#!

I wonder if the Ambassador in Benghazi had hope in Obama... didn't do him much good. Think he was saying to himself... I hope Obama sends help while he was being raped and tortured? I guess Obama really didn't care very much because he was on his way to a campaign event... not paying attention to our diplomat in a dangerous area... I guess the slain border agent had hope in Obama... hoping the weapons used against him were not from America...

You have hope in Obama... what has he ever done for you to give you hope?

I wonder why Mrs. Obama hasn't said more about Mr. Obama's grandmother being discriminated against at that Hawaiian bank. Oh, that's right.....she was the FIRST female selected for a high ranking job at the bank. So, can't say that anymore.

I wonder why Mrs. Obama allowed her children to be designated as Senior White House staff members on their African trip. Oh yeah, taxpayers had to foot the bill.

I wonder why Mrs. Obama clapped loudly at the last Presidential debate but the audience was asked not to do so. Oh yeah, she is the First Lady.

Hope is a 'flaw' Brianb? I can see that you don't believe in optimism. Your negative approach to life is self-defeating, my friend.

Especially when you hope in someone that you know nothing about. Obama is about as evasive as a deer during hunting season.

You'd like to kill hope. Is that your analogy?

He says one thing and does another...

You're confusing Obama with Romney. Scary!

I wonder if the Ambassador in Benghazi had hope in Obama... didn't do him much good. Think he was saying to himself... I hope Obama sends help while he was being raped and tortured?

That is nothing more than a a vicious, ugly rumor. Cite a REAL source, Brianb. Have you no shame? Your conspiracy theories and your lies are indicative of both your lack of integrity and your lack of common sense.

I guess Obama really didn't care very much because he was on his way to a campaign event... not paying attention to our diplomat in a dangerous area... I guess the slain border agent had hope in Obama... hoping the weapons used against him were not from America...

That dog won't hunt. American diplomats know they are in harm's way--the same as soldiers are-- and they don't expect to be coddled. It's a dangerous world out there, which you might know if you'd ever had the cojones to serve in one of our diplomatic missions in the Middle East.

Go play World of Warcraft or whatever. Go read another right wing blog and find a new conspiracy theory to harp on. Finally, get a job!

You started with the idiot thing. Now diapers! What, you think you can only sling mud but get none in return. I don't think so, buddy. Because honestly you are too easy to respond to with your lame name calling.

Your talking point about the VP being senile is nothing but old Republican rhetoric. The man is not only intelligent but also posesses a high I.Q. He is one of the more senior Senators who has served his country well. Don't like a guy so call him senile. Well, that "senile" guy cleaned Ryans clock for him at their debate. Not too shabby at all. No doubt who would better be able to lead this country if needed.

Now talk about diapers, lets put them where they belong on your junior congressman ( who didn't want that title used at the debate) whose only claim to fame is putting legislation in regards to anti-abortion bills with Akins and his budget bill which has been shot so full of holes that even he has retreated from parts of it. I do know Romney has distanced himself by declaring that it was Ryan's budget not his. Of course that probably will change given enough time.

Lastly, I really don't care if you think it's bull. Mostly because you get what you reap. In your case calling people an "idiot" & "senile" instead of debating shows to me a lack of intelligence. So if you want to keep on slinging mud I'll be more than to accommodate you. Either way or none is fine by me.

You get what you reap. Two times did Biden say we were at war with Iran (instead of Afghanistan) and once he didn't know what State he was in. There are a few more instances of his senility but they just don't come to mind at 5:00 a.m.

Do you want a senile POTUS? Have you ever thought of that?

As to Biden's history, who cares. He may have been brilliant at one time -- now he is senile;e.

Gil, can you see you have just admitted that your own brain functions imperfectly? Does that mean you are senile?

Find us a person on this earth who never mis-speaks and never forgets anything. Especially someone like Joe Biden, who has a lot on his mind and whose every word is recorded. Joe Biden is nearly seventy years old and still mentally sharp and physically fit. He could run rings around most American men who are the age of his sons.

If you want to hold up someone for ridicule, try your George W. Bush. He could barely speak a coherent sentence and we've got all his gaffes on record too. As for senility: try your Saint Ronnie.

                  'nuff said.

Clearly Obama has been successful at one thing; divide the country by income and race. For those who incorrectly state that the economy is better than expected, this is the slowest recovery in history. For those that think that electing Obama is a good thing another 4 years , clearly they don't own or run their own company. Hugh layoffs will take place as the cost to run the business will be so great. Keep one thing in mind: many companies will continue but the cost of products and services will sharply rise. For those who disagree, medical benefits programs continue to increase 15 to 30%+each year since Obama has been in office.

Company owners and managers will do the evil thing, make a profit. Which means that the cost to buy these products will sharply rise. And lastly for many of the posters above, your standard of living will continue to fall as the Obama administration has run out of money and will not be able to borrow from other countries when there is little chance it will be paid back. When the Obama administration has no money to hand out to the lazy bums who have held their hands out for so long, we will see the worst depression in the history of this country. The stock market and small business sees a faltering Obama administration and has hope that change is coming in Nov. Without this hope, we will see the falling markets and the slowing of the economy once again.

The Koch brothers are only speaking the truth and I hear it from many other business owners. They will shut down their business or have massive layoffs as the costs of owning and running a business are so high. Why work 60 hours a week to break even or lose money? I am confident that our country will survive, but we might not like way it looks if we get another 4 years of Obama.

You want misquotes or what you consider "senility". Try your main guy, not just the junior partner. Like Russia being our number one enemy and we should start the cold war again! Give me a break. We have been there, done that and don't need to go there again.

See, people can make claims no matter what. The Republican party has tried to label VP Biden as old and senile. Trouble is, that rhetoric doesn't float for anyone that can research and think for themselves. Personally, I think they are afraid of the VP because he knows when they are spouting BS and can call them on it.

I know he did with Congressman Ryan. (For the life of me, why would he request not to be addressed with that distinction.) Could it be because of his voteing record? Maybe you should check that out before labeling other people senile. Just saying...

I've lived in the Middle East. I know diplomats who have had to stockpile food, water and batteries in case of emergency, who have had to send their families out of the country to keep them safe, diplomats who have been kidnapped and held for ransom, diplomats who have been the victims of terrorist attacks. Some survived but others did not. Those who have survived carry emotional scars.

Of course it's not the same as the military. In many ways, it's worse. Diplomats put their lives on the line, and the safety of their families as well, yet I have never heard a single complaint about the risks they take on behalf of our country. Not one.

Secretary Clinton is heartbroken over the death of our four diplomats in Benghazi. Try to put yourself in her shoes, if that's even remotely possible.

Well now, bob in Virginia brought out ACORN, so check out Colin Small who has been charged with 12 felony counts in Harrisonburg, Virginia. He was caught throwing voter registration cards in a dumpster and said he works for the GOP/TP.

I didn't label him, the court did!

Yeah, Chilled we have a case here in Michigan where our repub Speaker of the House recruited a fake Democrat for the repub ticket out in Grand Rapids area. The fake Dem got cold feet and backed out, and now the Repub Speaker of the House is being charged with potential voter fraud. Speaker's name is Jace Bolger.

A Grand Rapids prosecutor says no crime was committed. Problem was,.....they prosecuted a Dem for doing the same thing a year ago. The guy is in jail now for trying to fake a Tea Bagger on the ballot.

Wouldn't that be a hoot? Watching them "perp walk" your own Speaker during a House session?

Repubs are the ones getting caught with voter fraud. Especially here in Michigan.

Ben, my question to you since you seem to have knowledge most people don't about Benghazi in your daily post's. Who briefed you on these claims of "murder/killings" and who was responsible? Com'on you can tell us what intelligence agency it was. We just know that you are "classified" and hold a level position in the current government so they would give you this information. What is your position again?

Now every American has a right to question events like these when they happen. But your post's are making specific claims and accusing our POTUS as a killer/murderer. WITHOUT ANY KNOWLEDGE OF WHAT REALLY WENT DOWN THAT DAY! And that's BS!

You probably can't see that your shouting of "facts" without any real facts make you kind of unbelievable along with your Republican party. Nothing but a political ploy. By the way, it was a Consulate not an Embassy that was attacked that night. First, if you are going to make unfounded claims at least find out what was attacked!

Layton - I'm endorsing Romney. He will be getting my entire family's vote. We all agree he's better suited to take our country in a new direction. A better direction. His performance in both debates was stellar... and he completely ran Obama off the road with his list of Obama's failures in the second debate... Obama has made so many broken promises it runs into historical levels... and Obama's stance on the economy has been nothing but a failure... I believe Romney is capable to handle the direction we need to be heading... In contrast, Romney has a plan and Obama's rhetoric is getting very old... and hard to listen to... same ol, same ol. We need new blood in the White House. This isn't 2008 where a community organizer was given a chance to prove his wares... and all of them were paper.

                              Brian,

I'm glad you are voting for the person that you think will satisfy you. Your post was mostly just what you feel. Unfortunately for you, alott of people on this vine do not agree where you think the direction of this country should go.

I think the major problem I have is in the second part of your statement. Now each side does belittle the other when it comes to their candidates. Mostly, I have observed the conservatives to be the first to interject derogatory remarks and quickly followed up by the same response from the opposing view.

As an Independent I have over the course of my life voted for all parties at one time or another depending on the candidate running for office. I followed your candidate from the very beginning during his run for the nomination. But as you may have guessed I came to the conclusion that he is not what we need at this time or would be helpful in steering this country in the right direction.

So I have deemed this President not as a failure but an honest hard working individual who has done a really good job considering what he had to start with. I plus my family and extended family are and have voted for President Obama.

So you vote for your pick and I do the same. It doesn't mean that we have to be angry or derogatory against one another. We are all Americans. No matter who is elected, Americans need to dig in and help. It is just too bad that some of the Republican/Democrats didn't feel that way the last four years. We probably would helped more than hurt this country.

Lastly I will say I have no use whatsoever for the Tea Party. My only hope is that in the future the Republican party learns to realistically find out when to stop catering to that segment when it is blatantly apparent their wishes hurt the USA.

Independent: No alot of posts here don't agree with you. Democrats like to Blame blame blame. There are 4 brave American's who were murdered and we still don't know the whole truth. President Obama has failed most of the American people. The rich are richer than ever before and the middleclass has been "buried" We still have 23 mil. Americans unemployed, 46 mil. on food stamps, and more people in poverty. At some point liberals have to start looking beyond their own backyard and see the millions who are truly suffering because of the failed economic and foreign policies of this president.

                                  #3.18 - Sat Oct 20, 2012 11:38 PM EDT

                                  Believe in America,

Did read what what i said at all? I said "alot of people on this vine". I do not need to get into the blame game because all do it. So don't make out like it is a one way street.

As for Benghazi, until the full story comes out (which it will) you or me or anyone else don't have the facts of how this went down. What! You think this is the only President that people in harms way have died. Then you must be awful young. Each and every instant the full facts were never known right away. So I don't buy into this being nothing but a political ploy by the Republican candidate to gain traction in Foriegn policy.

Mostly because Romney issued his press release saying it was brought on by "our Embassy issuing an apology". Now, he can say that was the reason then and change it to terrorism later and that's OK. I think not. What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

By the way, it was a Consulate that was attacked not an Embassy. Difference, mostly security and personnel.

In late 2008 unemployment in my state hit a high of 10.7%. Housing market became almost non-existent. Most 401 K where gone in the 6 trillion dollars lost in the market and housing. Banks were failing. It was not just a recession but the mother of all recession's. No matter who was to blame that was where we were at. Period!

Which would you rather have, the conditions then or now? Be honest! See, I am old enough to have gone throught more than this recession. Quite a few. Not as bad, but still more than I would have liked. Back in the 80's we had one that lasted more than 3 years before it got back to were it had been. And that wasn't even 1/2 as bad as this one. Interest rates were in the upper teens and low twenties. Gas went crazy, food was high and employment had risen. For the times and money we made back then it was rough.

As for the rich, you'll have to talk to your Republican's about that. It's been over 30 years of trickle down economics that have given us this great disparity in wealth. Democrats aren't to blame for that.

As for the unemployed I honestly think the outlook is promising. Thank god they had these safety nets in place that you guys want to get rid of. With the amount of jobs being outsourced over sea's it will be a great challenge to bring it back to low figures. The 12 million jobs Romney is talking about are nothing more than future projections no matter who is President. So that's all smoke and mirrors talk.

Don't blame just liberals. That's what you guys try to lay off so you can't take any of the blame. Your conservatives are just as guilty about spending and the deficit as anyone. Lastly, I am getting off as it's getting late, but I just for the life me don't understand how conservatives just blame one guy. 90% of our problems lies with the Congress. Hey, you say you know the Constitution so well, then you must know that they handle the money!

By the way, obliviosly this President has not failed all the people. Otherwise you wouldn't have such a tough and tight race. That is just your rethoric. Doesn't mean it's everyones. I know you probably won't agree or understand where I'm coming from but that's OK. That's what makes us Americans. Have a Good night.

A nasty statement that manages to be both bigoted and entirely factually untrue. A moonbat double play.

And just for the record, you are predicting Utah will vote for Obama? Adjust the meds...

Not bigoted or nasty in the least! You really don't know born-again Christians do you? You've no clue how Pat Robertson is sleeping having a Mormon Presidential nominee. I'm sure he's not sleeping well. When you understand the dynamics of Christians and Mormons, then go right ahead and call me out.

What religion do you affiliate yourself with, pray tell?

HI Layton!-- Pretty cool about the Tribune, but I was sort of expecting it, although for a while I wasn't sure. You do know though, that alot of the Mormons here ARE going to vote for Romney, if ONLY because he IS Mormon, unfortunatley there are alot of LOW-TO-NO-INFORMATION voters here, especially in the rural areas, which is where I live. Another unfortunate thing, alot of the people in other Red States"will hold their nose and vote for Romney", simply because he's"NOT OBAMA", which tells you what "kind" of people they are. Still...wouldn't it be COOL if Utah went PURPLE?! I know that I'm dreaming.....but still.

So forgot to thank you for pointing me to Romney's website yesterday (like I hadn't read it before)! So exactly how is that math of his going to add up? Cut taxes, increase spending to the military, try and be a Bain CEO of the United States????

Didn't really see anything new there. But, again, thanks for directing me to the Romesia website.

The economy is doing much better than it was four years ago, and some of us are doing quite well. Despite that, the economy is not the only issue or even the most important one. There are many reasons not to vote for Romney and the GOP.

Simply imagine 2008 without food stamps, unemployment, social security, medicare and medicaid. The entire country will be one giant Romneyville-Tent city.

                                    what happened,

What happened was Congress extended the tax cuts till Dec 31, 2012. Congress voted the sequestration bill and then ran out the clock so the cuts are now law. Obama signed the bills .

You know the Congress that worked only 32 weeks a year since Boehner became Speaker.

And their work week in DC is 2 day at the most in their week.

                                    So that is what happened....

Explain this: A recent Pew Research poll showed that 74% of white evangelicals support Romney, a percentage point higher than Sen. John McCain when he was the Republican nominee..

And the GOP is sweeping the evangelical-rich Southern states.

The first lady sure like to ask for a lot of things. Do you think anyone will objest to me taking forty of my friends to Spain and bill it as a State Visit so the taxpayers can pick up the tab?

Ten at or about the time the first lady was asking the democratically controlled congress to redefine Pizza as a health food so it could be served in schools as a health food, congress was also lifting the ban on horse meat for human consumption.

Michelle Obama had nothing to do with the lifting the ban, by Congress, on horse meat. Got any other slander you'd care to share.

Despicable and pitiful begging for votes. Be patient? How insulting. Four more years of waiting patiently for the economy to improve would be even more disasterous than the last four years have been. Obama wants everyone to vote early before any more of his lies can have light shone on them. Well, at least she is fired up and ready to go......

Romney/Ryan 2012, because America has waited long enough.

The State Department has plenty of money for new Chevy Volts in Switzerland and a new charging station at a cost of $108k each. This at the same time multiple requests were being made for new security. Hillary may have had to stand by another one of her men in the press, but all she does is conduct White House policy on the national stage. Mr Obama got our people killed.

That old excuse has run its course. When the president cannot get others to work with him in four years, it is seen as a failure of leadership. Just read the latest liberal newspaper endorsements of Romney, papers that once endorsed Obama in 2008. If Obama cannot get it done in Washington from the inside as he said recently, what will he do that will be any different for another four years? It will most likely be the same Congress that he has been blaming. Most people cannot afford another four years of excuse making.

Obama's attack dogs in the EPA are not subject to congressional approval. He could have easily told the EPA to ease up a bit for the first two years to get the recovery rolling. Instead, the EPA has amped up the push for stiff regulations. No business would invest in such an environment without knowing what the return on investment would be.

On the very day Obama became president the republicans got together and made a VOW to make him a one term only president. They have done everything in their power to thwart anything that would help the American people to make Obama look bad and these are the people you want elect??? For shame on all of you. We will be in so much worst shape if Romney gets in. Your taxes will jump-your kids or maybe you will be sent into another war=the rich will just get richer and still will help to provide jobs. You will lose your benefits that you may need for schooling. you will lose a lot more than that!! Just really=really listen to Romney and Ryan and try to understand what they really stand for besides the very-very-very Rich.

What Iacocca does not say is that he endorsed Kerry in 2004 and Bill Richardson in 2008. He supported GWB in 2000. So he's not a right wing crazy.

Iacocca: America needs a turnaround, which is why I'm voting Romney

Former Chrysler Corp. chairman Lee Iacocca says that Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney gets his vote in November. (Olivia Gatti / Associated Press)

I've seen a lot of situations that needed a turnaround in my time, and I know one when I see one. Trust me, America needs a turnaround.

America is in deep trouble. After four years, economic growth is still anemic, our annual deficits were not cut in half as promised, and our staggering $16 trillion federal debt hangs over us and our kids like the plague. Our people are hurting, they can't find jobs, they have lost a major part of their net worth, the number of Americans living in poverty is at unacceptable levels, and we just aren't doing the things that would get our country back on the right track.

Like any turnaround it must begin by honestly facing our problems; hope and speeches won't get our people back to work. It will require experienced leadership that can create and lead policy change that will enable a more robust and competitive America. We need leadership that understands that government, just like American families, can't continue to spend beyond its means. We must find leadership that won't pander to the people, but rather will speak honestly to them about our situation, explaining in simple terms what we have to do to get back on the right track. And we need leadership that can bring us together in a sense of shared responsibility so that we can move forward as a team. All of us. As Americans.

                                              America needs new leadership

Mitt Romney has successfully led both public and private sector turnarounds. He is a bright and successful man; he is a good man, a caring man, a man of integrity, family and faith. Importantly, he recognizes we are in a tough situation. With dozens of years of real world experience in the public and private sectors, he knows what he's talking about. His policies will enable a stronger America, one in which all Americans can share. He was groomed and trained for this moment.

The future of our country is at stake

If you are out of work or worried about your job, having trouble making ends meet, are worried about your kids' future or your own, or if you just have a nagging sense that as Americans we can do better than this, it's time to wake up and stop just hoping it will all work out in a few more years. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it won't!

                                              It's time for straight talk.

I'm asking you to vote for change that will get us moving in the right direction, and to be ready to be part of the solution. Everything depends on it. We don't have time to waste. It's time to make America great again.

Vote for Mitt Romney for president.

Another one from MSNBC's journalistic prostitute's:

                                                • Documents add to evidence of security fears before attack on US consulate in Benghazi

Separately, a senior U.S. intelligence official, who spoke with NBC News on condition of anonymity, said Friday that investigators still have not uncovered any evidence that the attack was preplanned.

"No one is ruling out the idea that some of the attackers may have aspired to attack the U.S. in Benghazi," the official said. "However, right now, there isn't any intelligence that the attackers preplanned their assault days or weeks in advance. The bulk of available information supports the early assessment that the attackers launched their assault opportunistically after they learned about the violence at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo. Of course, other factors may also have motivated participation in the attack."...

                                                • I'm a former U.S. Marine. This was a coordinated attack AT NIGHT on a 9/11 anniversary with at least four mortar positions, Rocket Propelled Grenades, AK-47s along with several thousand rounds all being expended on the Benghazi compound. You don't just offhandedly go off on an impulse and launch a combined assault lobbing mortar shells training rpg and automatic weapon fire in on a position you are assaulting without some degree of pre-planned coordination. Hell you'll wind up killing more of your own troops than the enemy. They had already blown a huge hole in the compound's wall. That is what you call an enemy probe...

It would be "optimal" if he did tell us all what actually happened even though Fox was reporting with in the first 24 hours what the rest of the press is telling us now.

What are the chances of the press doing a story about themselves and their roll in the cover up?

Obama uses a movie cover up story

                                                  To hide the real truth,

Just so he can get re-elected
