Talk about a wild ride this week! *WHEW*

I too am looking forward to the foreign policy debate, given Willard has no clue other than to insult our allies! lol

Will someone cue up McCain's *bomb... bomb... bomb... Iran* for on the old jukebox for old times sake?

Thanks to both Mark & Domenico, for giving us this little cyber-sandbox where we can play political "Family Feud" weekly!

See you all over at the Dew Drop Inn, fireplace is roaring, drinks are ice-cold and laughter will be flowing freely!

Prepare for an agressive Mitt! After the last debate he'll have something to prove...maybe Tagg will run out and take his swing.?.?

It's bound to be entertaining but I won't hold my breath for policy specifics from either. I am quite sure both sides will claim the last nail has been hammered into the coffin of their opponent.

Well it's about time Florida got to have it's moments in the spotlight of a Presidential Election! LOL!

A few tips for anyone, journalist or otherwise, making the trip down to Boca for the debate:

1. Florida leads the country in number of people who hit the accelerator when they mean to hit the brake pedal and crash through store front windows. So watch yourself on the sidewalks.

2. Driving on I-95 can be an adventure. Half the cars are doing 80 and half are doing 35. But no one is doing anything in between.

3. Rush hour for dinner isn't the usual 6:00 to 8:00, it's more like 4:00 to 5:30.

4. If it starts raining, don't worry...it'll stop in 2 minutes.

5. If it's not raining, you probably have just enough time to grab an umbrella.

In all honesty though, I'm looking forward to the media and campaigns descending upon us. I'm planning on stopping by at Mizner Park to catch some of the live political shows just for fun. (Although, if it were up to me, you shoulda picked the Dubliner to go live from as opposed to Racks...but Racks is pretty darned good in it's own right).

Have a great weekend all.

Feisty RedHead Cosmopolitans at the Dew Drop Inn in honor of our one and only FEISTY! Happy birthday, again, my friend. Odd place for us to get to know each other, hasn't it been a ride?

What oh what have we learned? Mitty got his feelings hurt at the last debate when he was so very awfully sure that he had his President cornered on the use of the word "terror" in describing what happened in Libya. Honestly, Mitty was positively gleeful, that HE the smartest man in the world (in his never to be humble opinion) was going to show this interloper, this illegitimate pretender to the Presidency what was what! It was that moment when President Obama said "Proceed, please, Governor" that Mittens should have seen the cliff he was about to fall off in the best tradition of the cartoon characters of old.

Not our Mittens! Nope, he tumbled headfirst, no parachute, and was dumbstruck when the moderator called him out on his lie. See, Mitty is used to dictating to others, and to have someone go above their station to challenge the "Great I AM", well that didn't fly too well.

But it was great TV! May be one of my favorite moments ever, even including the look on Queen Ann's face when that debate was over.

I have to wonder, and I am puzzled. Mitty is disrespectful to the Office of the Presidency. His affect that night was belligerent, entitled, "and who dares QUESTION ME!" I can remember the right wing going nuts over Al Gore crossing the stage over to George Bush.

So, where is the outrage? Or has it always been pretense, and a tool to get points for their guy, no matter how unsuitable he is for the POTUS?

Thanks, Mark and Domenico, I can well imagine that you will be so GLAD when the election is over and you can both take a well deserved break!

One more debate, and on to the election! I am more than ready. Have a good weekend all!

I suggestion for Tagg, since he seems to like violence, is to call 1-800-USA-ARMY.

PS, Nate Silvers just moved the odds for Obama's re-election to 70.4%, up from 65.7%.

Wonder if Mitt be dropping in on his favorite Boca Elite crowd where he can freely express his disdain and outright disgust of 47& of the population. I'll bet one of those guys has in in-home gymnasium where Tagg can beat the hell out of a punching bag. While they're at it, I'm sure one of them has an extra stable to house Queen Ann's fancy-prancy dancing horsie. We wouldn't want her to go a weekend without her therapy. I sincerely hope they forked out enough money to buy a horse-trailer. Horses strapped on roofs can really damage the family Bentley. Speaking of parking, I hope the host's elevator garage can fit the Bentley and horse-trailer. If not, perhaps Mitts can find parking for his custom made 737 with roll-down windows. I understand John Travolta is able to handle the congestion parking problem of 2-3 planes. Unfortunately, he lives in Cali, so he may not be able to give the Romney's an assist with that little problem.

Anyho, the average residents of Boca may want to attach the chain on their doors. I understand the other Romney sons are supporting the war by knocking on doors and converting folks to Mormonism. The converts will thusly vote for Romney who has all but promised to usher in a new war with Iran. Let's take a moment to thank the Romney boys for their valiant efforts to support war.

Finally, residents of Boca, be sure to keep you windows closed over the weekend. Queen Ann will be firing up the ovens at the home of one of the elites to bake burn up some good old Welsh Cakes. I understand she gives them away for free. Personally, I think she may be in cahoots with the local dentists hoping to increase their business next week replacing broken teeth.

Yes, sounds like good times for the elites in old Boca this weekend. I think I'll grab my cell phone to see if I can capture any of it on film. I hear they secretly love to be recorded behind closed doors. Cheers Boca Raton - enjoy!!

Even though the organization is still shrouded in secrecy, and its operations; and the diary schedule of its chief; are rarely acknowledged MYTH was in full "Romenisa" mode.

The Obama campaign has regressed to an adolescent state. I see Beavis (Biden) and Butthead (Obama) in my cartoon bubble.

Butthead: Whoa! Romney has binders full of women. Cool.
Beavis: Yeah, yeah, hey, hey, you said "binders"
Butthead: Uhh, huh, huh, we can like, use this against him
Beavis: Yeah, yeah, yeah, heh, heh, are they biker chicks? Yeah, yeah?
Butthead: If we just, like, keep saying, uh, "binders", and like, uhh, huh, huh, "Big Bird", we will kick Romeny's a$$.
Beavis: Yeah, yeah. Binders, binders, binders, yeah, yeah, heh, heh, yeah. Binders and Big Bird, yeah

Who is spinning this for political advantage?

To me, it is the person who lied about this entire situation- telling the country that it was the tragic aftermath of a peaceful demonstration over a video- despite the fact that Intelligence knew that the consulate had been attacked previously- as did State, which still denied extra security- knew that the Beitish and the Red Cross had pulled out, and also knew that the State Department had watched the attack in real time after being notified by a diplomats who was there.

Unless, of course, Obama really didn't know because he was too busy being a candidate, rather than the president.

And as if lying isn't bad enough, what the heck do you call characterizing the attack as "not optimal"?

Face it, Obama never wanted to be president- he just wanted to play one on TV. Judging by his demeanor last night, he knows he's on his way to Hawaii in January.

Aloha, Obama.

Your problem is that you don't really have a point other than "Obama is bad". It is an imperfect world. If you have nothing to offer other than complaints then you are part of the problem and not part of the solution. Here you are parsing words over an attack that was not even part of the campaign until some American heroes were murdered in Libya and Romney tried to take some political advantage out of it. It is truly despicable and pathetic. Really.

anaxgnosis - You do know if the President had not tried to cover up the attack in Libya it would not have become a political football. All he had to do was admit it was a Terrorist attack and not connected to the Video he kept blaming. When you start something with a lie it just keeps getting bigger and bigger. The best think Obama can do is to come out an admit he erred, apologize and ask the nation to move on.

    5. "There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. ... He lived there for a number of years. I mean, I say that jokingly, but it would be helpful to be Latino." -Mitt Romney, in leaked comments from a Florida fundraiser, May 17 2012
    9. "It's hard to know just how well [the 2012 London Olympics] will turn out. There are a few things that were disconcerting. Blatina here, and I wanted to share with all some thoughts from my 18 year old who register as Non-party-affiliation and will be voting this year for the first time. He also gave the sites that back up his numbers. I don't have to say what inspired him.

    CHAINS WE CAN BELIEVE IN?

Democrats have good intentions to help, but in order to stay elected they use the poor of America to keep them in their Thrones. In fact, they have secured a 72% (1) of their vote according to an NPR poll.

Unfortunately those on welfare are stuck in a terrible wheel by staying on welfare. In Florida it is as a high of 25%(2). Not to mention those who stayed on welfare for years without a job 46.5%(3).

The choice however is with YOU. Do you the people want to brake free?

Concern - the supposed "liberal" professor should have rated this paper poorly. You son needs help interpreting surveys. To start off - pay a friggin' tutor to teach him the proper use of brake/break. Obviously, his mother can't be taught, let's hope it isn't too late for your son. Secondly, his citation of 72% is incorrect, assuming he is citing question 56 of the NPR survey. Finally, the NPR survey in no way supports the "Throne" statement. In fact, if you read through the survey, it tells you who/what they blame for their unemployment situation.

Sadly, when I read the short paragraph citing unrelated statistics, all I read are your thoughts transcribed by your son onto a piece of paper. I'm quite frankly surprised you didn't force him to use your Miami Rave Party survey to support his claims.

I know that comparisons are odious, but I can think of another time in recent history in which a large, wealthy, industrialized state with a high proportion of educated citizens decided en masse to elect a right-wing party who played the game of divide and conquer, and who encouraged the citizenry to blame every one of the problems their society faced on two minority groups (Jews and Communists).

      Give up?

Let it be enough to say that the experience turned out badly for that country, and far worse for their neighbours. Some people never learn from history.

Oh, and Sirie? You can't support your comment with an actual illustration of the comparison you're trying to make- I'm telling you, not asking you. A final nugget for the day for my right wing leaning friends, from the mouth of Mr. Silver:

On Thursday, that story was one of President Obama continuing to hold leads in most polls of critical states. Of the 13 polls of swing states released on Thursday, Mr. Obama held leads in 11 of them.

I know all of you have been excited over the course of the last week and so forth, mainly due to the release of the Gallup poll that showed Mr. Romney up by 7 points and that some of you have even taken the Gallup poll to mean that Mr. Romney now leads in every poll being conducted, but that is just not the reality of the situation.

Bear further in mind that one of the polls Mr. Silver is talking about here is the Susquehanna poll in Pennsylvania I've talked about today in depth. I have more or less disqualified this poll solely on the basis of methodology alone and the fact that it flies in the face of every other poll in Pennsylvania being conducted.

But on a gut level, just ask yourselves... and speak to yourselves truthfully because no one else is there to hear it... do you honestly believe that Mitt Romney is actually going to carry Pennsylvania?

In the national polls added to RCP today, only one poll has Mr. Romney ahead. Only one. The same Gallup tracking poll taken yesterday, the one all of you were so excited to see, except in today's version, the 7 point lead has started to revert to the mean and to evaporate. And the fact is that it is now the only one out of the last six posted that does not show a lead for the president or a tie, I think you're forced to admit that Mr. Romney's high water mark for this campaign might have been last weekend or Monday.

        Have a good weekend.

By the way, on the weight of today's polling, President Obama has retaken the lead in the RCP average since before the first debate bounce for Mr. Romney.

        Silver?

Why do you not mention the other oddsmakers who pick Romney? Why would you not mention the University of Colorado? They have predicted the winner using their model since 1980. They're picking Romney in a landslide.

You pick Silver because he's a liberal hack supporting Obama. He's wrong this time.

          Michael Thompson,

Nate Silver has his eyes on the ball.

During my drive time, listening to NPR, the focus of the meaning of the polls is not relating to the reality for this elections.

The assumption is one of "is this a national election or 50 separate elections." Pollster have assumed, and most rightly, that in national election the national polls drive everything . But with the nation so divided, it is the swing states that will prove the theory that each of them are a election in their own right. Obama has a lead in most of the swing states that he needs. His list is lot shorter than Romney's path to victory.

you should check out the electoral map at Real Clear Politics. Romney leads. Obama convinced the American people at the last debate he is incompetent. Today, the news is reporting that on the day he was killed Ambassador Stevens sent a communique to the State Dept again stating how security had deteriorated to the point of being life threatening.

Obama has demonstrated for the last four years he knows absolutely nothing about foreign policy.

So the question is,"how will he attempt to explain away his obvious lie as he attempted to be the alpha dog in the last debate?""Why didn't the American people get an explanation as to why Russia refused to renew the arms agreement we had with them for the last three decades?"

It is an administration which knows the ship is sinking (just look at the polls) and is busy tossing the women and children out of the life boats.

To all of the True Christians that read these threads!

Have you ever heard the saying “Strange Bedfellows?” What it basically means is, that two opposing groups have joined forces, and become allies. And, this is exactly what has happened in the GOP. You have unsuspecting Christians joining forces with Ayn Rand Worshipers (Atheist), and this is what would be considered as “Strange Bedfellows!” I do not mean to offend Atheist in anyway, because I believe the vast majority are not Rand Worshipers, which I feel are giving Atheists a bad name. And, just to let you know, I’m an Agnostic.

Have you people even realized that the GOP has been taken over by a bunch of Ayn Rand worshiping sociopaths? And, their philosophy is Objectivism, where selfishness is considered a virtue, and declares god-fearing Christians to be incompatible with reason! Which means, Christians as true believers in God, are incapable of any logical reasoning! I’ll bet you are shocked to find that out? In other words, you are nothing but pawns, and are being used to bring about your own demise!

They also believe that there are only two kinds of people in the world, creators and parasites! Whereas the creators are made up of businesses, corporations, entrepreneurs, investors, and anyone that is in a certain income bracket. The parasites are anyone who fails to meet the criteria I just mentioned.

These people have turned lying into an art form, and use manipulation as readily as breathing air. They use wedge issues such as abortion, healthcare, and anything that can distract you from important issues that will cause you to vote against your very own better interests!

These people are self idolizing sociopaths, and have done everything humanly possible to sabotage our economy, because they have become so entrenched in Ayn Rand’s ideology, and want to bring about nothing more than what Ayn Rand envisioned, a laissez-faire type of capitalism.

These people are trying their best to destroy a system that brought about the great society that the rest of the world revered and has ever known! And, contrary to these self idolizing sociopaths beliefs, no man is an island unto themselves! They have tried to demonize socialism, but contrary to their beliefs socialism is what built this country and brought about its greatness. Its citizens working together for the common good of all, and just not for the supposed creators! This country did not attain its greatness through self idolizing psychopathic loners. Where their only goal is to create a country of what they consider creators and parasites!

Wake Up America, before it really is too late!

Obama/Biden in Nov, because all of your and my offspring deserve better than what the Ayn Rand Worshiping GOP has to offer!

                              • Documents add to evidence of security fears before attack on US consulate in Benghazi

Separately, a senior U.S. intelligence official, who spoke with NBC News on condition of anonymity, said Friday that investigators still have not uncovered any evidence that the attack was preplanned.

"No one is ruling out the idea that some of the attackers may have aspired to attack the U.S. in Benghazi," the official said. "However, right now, there isn't any intelligence that the attackers preplanned their assault days or weeks in advance. The bulk of available information supports the early assessment that the attackers launched their assault opportunistically after they learned about the violence at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo. Of course, other factors may also have motivated participation in the attack."...

Comedian Tim Allen has an idea for a home improvement at the White House: Get a new tenant!

A rare Republican in Democrat-loving Hollywood — let alone in prime time — Allen delivers a comic smackdown in the season premiere of his ABC sitcom, “Last Man Standing.”

It’s the first sign the GOP may be making inroads in what has been nearly solid support for the president on the left coast.

In the episode, airing four days before the election, Allen’s uber-conservative character, Mike Baxter, tries to persuade his impressionable 18-year-old daughter to vote for Mitt Romney.

“The Democrats will tax [your] inheritance and probably use that money to throw gay weddings for illegal aliens,” Allen’s character tells the Kardashian-loving teen, who thinks Bill Clinton’s mother is secretary of state.

“Democrats love spending other people’s money. Free health care for everybody . . . Whoopee! Now lazy people can go around licking doorknobs.”

While Allen squeezed some jokes in at the president’s expense, he wasn’t given an unlimited leash to bite into Bam.

Allen told The Post that the Disney-owned network scrapped numerous jokes, including one in which his character calls the president “a communist.”

“I love communist jokes,” Allen said. “The right sees everything as a communist.”

“We also had this line about the Clintons where I say, ‘They’re like shingles; just when you think they are gone, they pop back up.’ ”

                                That, too, got cut.

                                Among the lines that survived:

                                * “Romney is a doer. It’s easy to be consistent, like Obama, when all you have done is ‘organize communities.’ ”

                                * “He did a great job with that South Side of Chicago. It runs like a watch down there. Of course, you can’t wear one.”

Allen said there are plenty of jokes aimed at Romney — because the network thought it was necessary to give the show some balance.

Romney has made plenty of mistakes in this campaign, but the largest number of blunders have come on foreign policy

No his biggest blunder is shipping his money offshore that he made in vulture capitalism. He is one of the 1 percent that expects the 99% to vote him into office. His "Blind trust" that he does not control but he knows what is in it. Hmmm, blind trust my foot. Corporations are not people!
