Obama: GOP nominee suffering from 'Romnesia'

Jason Reed / Reuters

President Barack Obama stops mid-stride to greet supporters during a campaign rally at George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., Oct. 19, 2012.

President Barack Obama has been hitting GOP nominee Mitt Romney for weeks over what he says is Romney’s shifting to more moderate general-election policies, but now he has a new catchphrase for it: "Romnesia."

Speaking at George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., Obama turned the joke into a four-minute soliloquy, laying out what he said were all of Romney’s inconsistent positions.

“He's changing up so much -- backtracking and sidestepping. We've got to name this condition that he's going through. I think ... I think it's called 'Romnesia,'" he said as the crowd of 9,000 erupted into cheers and applause. “Now, I'm not a medical doctor but I do want to go over some of the symptoms with you. Because I want to make sure nobody else catches it.”

Given that the event was geared towards female voters -- signs at the front of the stage read “Women’s Health Security” and even the invocation was centered around women’s issues -- Obama first mentioned what he said were Romney’s evolving statements on workplace fairness and women’s health.

President Barack Obama speaks at George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., telling supporters that Governor Mitt Romney's plan will squeeze the middle class.

“If you say you're for equal pay for equal work, but you keep refusing to say whether or not you'd sign a bill that protects equal pay for equal work, you might have Romnesia,” he said as the crowd laughed. “If you say women should have access to contraceptive care, but you supported legislation that would let your employers deny you contraceptive care, you might have a case of Romnesia.”

He concluded by joking that his health care plan would be able to cure anyone suffering from what ails Romney.

“And if you come down with a case of Romnesia, and you can't seem to remember the policies that are still on your website or the promises you've made over the six years you've been running for president, here's the good news. 'Obamacare' covers preexisting conditions! We can fix you up! We've got a cure!” he exclaimed as the audience reached a fever pitch.

Before launching into his new attack line, Obama also renewed his criticism over Romney’s economic plan, again calling it a “sketchy deal” and noting that New York Times columnist Paul Krugman called it a “snow job on the American people.”

But most of Obama’s critiques for Romney pertained specifically to women’s issues, which emerged as one of the hottest topics in Tuesday’s presidential debate.

He warned that the next president would potentially have the ability to appoint a new Supreme Court justice, raising the prospect of revisiting the landmark Roe v. Wade decision regarding abortion rights.

Two-year-old Sacha Marzett wears a homemade Obama t-shirt while waiting in line to attend a campaign rally at George Mason University campus October 19, 2012 in Fairfax, Va.

Obama also alluded to Romney’s “binders full of women” comment during the debate.

“When the next president and Congress would tip the balance of the highest court in the land in a way that turns back the clock for women and families for decades to come, you don't want someone who needs to ask for binders of women. You don't want that guy," he said.

Virginia Delegate Barbara Comstock responded to the president’s remarks on behalf of the Romney campaign, saying in a statement: "Women haven’t forgotten how we’ve suffered over the last four years in the Obama economy with higher taxes, higher unemployment, and record levels of poverty. President Obama has failed to put forward a second-term agenda -- and when you don’t have a plan to run on, you stoop to scare tactics."

The president returned to the White House after his remarks, from which he'll depart later on Friday for Camp David, the presidential retreat in Maryland, where he’ll prepare for next Monday’s presidential debate.

Romnesia?

The best Obama can do now is to reduce himself to Feisty's level with childish, inane, litle quips?

So sad with so many Americans truly suffering, the guy cannot even take real issues seriously.

Oh well.

He has thrown his wealth and status around for so long he can't believe anyone would confront or question him. He will say anything, and there are big gaps in what he has told us he would do. His policies are so unpopular that he has to use made up verbage to make them sound reasonable. Please hold this fool accountable for what he says or has done.

It's really sad to think that somebody in the Obama campaign is paid , probably a lot of money, to come up with drivel like this.

Next thing you know Obama will call Romney "Rob-Me".

Little catch phrases and insults aren't going to work this time Mr. President.

I do not trust pundits and media, so I went back to the issues raised by the first debate and found that Mr. Romney changed positions to suit the audience he was facing. Please recall that when fighting for the Republican nomination he clearly stated hard right positions on almost every issue.

When challenged by President Obama in the first debate, he simply lied to America and rescinded many of those planks of the Republican platform. Later, after the debate was over, his political handlers went to the press and "clarified" those points back to the Republican line.

I guess it easy to fool Americans when you can simply LIE to them in a debate.

Oh, and Kudos to Candy Crowley for fact checking. More journalists should do that, more often.

Mr. Romney, in the words of my grandmother, "Lies like a rug."

And do not get me started on "Lyin' Ryan". The Republicans lie to get elected, to any office, and once in government, they impede progress so they can then say that government is broken.

Remember, Americans, the "Beast" they want to starve is named America.

He is also supporting another treaty that taxes all use of international waters. Yeah this's right, want to drill in the ocean you pay a tax to the UN.... That sure will help gas prices. And the third treaty he is supporting is a small arms ban across the world that he thinks will supperceed our second amendment.... Yes this A-hole is using the UN to shrink the USA. Two huge lies by Romney in the last debate dealt with the deficit and federal spending levels... The first lie was that Obama has doubled the deficit. The truth is that when Bush left office in 2008, the national deficit for that year was 1.5 trillion dollars. This year the deficit is about 1.3 trillion dollars estimated. Far from doubling the annual deficit, it has actually slightly declined since Bush’s last year in office. Only using Romney math is 1.5 twice as large as 1.3.

Of course the other way to look at the deficit is the total national deficit. When Obama took office the total National Debt was $10,699,804,864,612. Most of that debt had been racked up during the Reagan and the 2 Bush Administrations with the only surplus occurring under Clinton. During the Obama Administration the national Debt has risen to $15,856,367,214,324. In large part because of down revenues from the Great Recession and increased government spending related to the 2 GW Bush tax cuts, two wars started by Bush, and the need to keep the economy from sliding into another Great Depression as it did under Herbert Hoover in the 1930s. All of these things came to being under the Bush/Cheney Administration. For republicans to attempt to sweep their responsibility under the rug and blame it all on Obama is the height of irresponsibility and hypocrisy! Even if you do blame it all on Obama, as every republican I know is want to do, 5.2 trillion is less than half, not double, 10.7 trillion dollars. Again, only using Romney math is 5.2 trillion double 10.7 trillion. More importantly is the fact that deficit trends have been trending lower each year under Obama, while they trended higher, much higher, the final year of the Bush Administration. Take a close look at the attached table.

http://www.skymachines.com/US-National-Debt-Per-Capita-Percent-of-GDP-and-by-Presidental-Term.htm

The second Romney lie claims that federal spending has doubled under Obama. The truth is federal spending increases have been far lower (as well as total number of public employees) under Obama than under GW Bush. Federal spending increases were far higher under Reagan, both Bushes and Clinton than under Obama according to both the OMB and CBO. For Romney to insist otherwise has no basis in fact, and show that he is willing to use any distortion, even outright lies, to achieve his goal of returning supply-side trickle down to rule in Washington D.C.

Document dump today giving more detail on Libya. Ambassador Stevens was asking for help the day he died.

The documents were released by two lawmakers who have been active in probing the Benghazi case, Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., the chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, and Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah. In a letter to President Obama, dated Oct. 19 and accompanied by the documents, the lawmakers faulted the administration both for providing inadequate security before Sept. 11, and for allegedly obfuscating the nature of the events on Sept. 11.

"Multiple warnings about security threats were contained in Ambassador Stevens' own words in multiple cables sent to Washington, D.C., and were manifested by two prior bombings of the Benghazi compound and an assassination attempt on the British ambassador," the congressmen wrote. "For this administration to assume that terrorists were not involved in the 9/11 anniversary attack would have required a willing suspension of disbelief."

At the State Department briefing Friday, spokeswoman Victoria Nuland declined to comment on published reports alleging that an official working for the Central Intelligence Agency had informed the Obama administration on Sept. 12 that the Benghazi murders were an act of terrorism.

Romney has been pointing to “six studies” that he claims show that his tax plan work. However, those “studies” (which are mostly blog posts and op-eds) show no such thing.

So now the Romney campaign is touting a (2006) study from the congressional Joint Committee on Taxation that he claims vindicates his approach, telling Roll Call the study shows “how a ‘Romney-style tax plan’ could bolster growth.

Here is what the study says:

Repeal home mortgage interest deduction

Repeal child tax credit

Repeal charitable contributions

Repeal healthcare deductions

Repeal deductions for state and local taxes

Repeal all personal credits (except the EITC)

Repeal all personal exemptions

Repeal all other itemized deductions

Redistribute tax liability from top 1% to middle class

Well somebody is going to have to pay for MYTH'S massive tax cuts for the rich.

The tax policy center released a new study on Romney's tax plan.

The tax cuts will cost $5 trillion.

If we remove deductions from EVERYONE (not upper class, but EVERYONE), that will only cover $1.3 trillion of the cost.

An additional $3.7 trillion will be needed to be taken from the middle class, to pay for it.

That means that Romney will pay LESS taxes, but middle class will have to pay MORE to pay for it.

This is simple math. I am a middle class homeowner and I can not afford to pay more taxes and lose my mortgage deduction.

Again . . . the ONLY way to pay for Romney's plan is to take away middle class deductions AND tax the middle class more.

Read the tax policy center report yourself. It is simple math. Can you afford to pay more taxes and lose your mortgage deduction? This is the single reason I can not vote for Romney.

Tagg Romney's Company Misled Reporters About Its Relationship With Ponzi Scheme–Linked Firm

Lee Fang on October 12, 2012 - 8:10 PM ET

The private equity firm run by Tagg Romney—Mitt’s eldest son, who is now taking a leadership role in guiding his father’s presidential campaign—misled reporters last year about its involvement with a company run by men accused of taking part in a multibillion-dollar Ponzi scheme.

Last year, I reported that Tagg had formed a business partnership with several North Carolina investors who are still facing a lawsuit for receiving bonus pay for selling CDs as part of the $8 billion Stanford Financial Group Ponzi scheme.

In a nutshell, Tagg helped these investors form a company—called Solamere Advisors, a nod to Tagg’s firm Solamere Capital—shortly after their boss, Allen Stanford, was caught by law enforcement for his elaborate Ponzi fraud.

When I interviewed him in Las Vegas, Tagg told me that his associates were “cleared” of any wrongdoing associated with the Stanford Ponzi scheme. Court documents directly contradict Tagg and show that the lawsuit has not been dismissed.

The New York Times followed up on my story with its own report and confirmed that Tagg’s business partners received incentive pay for selling bunk Stanford CDs. They wrote about one Stanford victim, a local Charlotte businessman and philanthropist named Herman Stone. Stone was pressured by Brandon Phillips, an executive working now for Tagg’s firm, into putting $2 million into a fraudulent Stanford CD and lost everything.

Solamere Capital attempted to distance itself from the story by claiming that their business was not actually connected to the Ponzi-tainted firm, Solamere Advisors. In a statement to ABC News, they claimed that their managers, not Solamere Capital itself, were involved (emphasis added):

It is inaccurate to suggest that Solamere Capital made an investment in this firm [Solamere Advisors]. Solamere Capital was approached to invest in a new wealth management firm being launched by these three individuals. After extensive due diligence, Solamere Capital decided not to invest because the business was at an early stage and did not meet our investment criteria. However, Spencer Zwick, Tagg Romney and Eric Scheuermann each own a minority stake in the business as individual investors.”

However, Solamere Capital’s statement, provided to ABC News, is false. Disclosures from the Securities and Exchange Commission show that Tagg’s company indeed maintains ties with the Ponzi-linked firm, Solamere Advisors.

The claim that Solamere Group didn’t invest directly in Solamere Advisors, the firm employing former Stanford employees, appears to have been an attempt to shield Mitt Romney. Mitt invested about $10 million into Tagg’s Solamere Capital venture, which would suggest Mitt has a direct financial relationship with folks involved in a Ponzi scheme. That’s because Solamere Capital pools together investment money to co-invest in other companies.

Oh yeah, what did Mr. Obama say during the 2008 campaign ? Something like "target" the small stuff and then "attack" the opponent with anything, straight out of the Alinsky playbook:

"An organizer must stir up dissatisfaction and discontent."

Rule 13. "Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it and polarize it." Saul Alinsky.

The truth is Romney is a liar and has proven that on video too many times to even count. When a candidate lies as much as he does it is no longer just a matter of telling the truth - it is CHEATING.

Yes, his lies are so comprehensive and pervasive that it is just another form of cheating. They cheat low-information voters by pretending to support their interests when clearly they don't.

Just like the voter registrations fraud, the voter suppression, the voter intimidation, the stealing of elections, the threatening of employees, the exploitation of voter's religion, and the corruption that infects the TeaPublican party the lies are part of the strategy to CHEAT to win.

Republicans are disgusting and so completely corrupt that they must be purged from the political process. We need a new party that can play by the rules. This is America, not some banana republic... although our country under Republicans is starting to feel like one... at least where Republicans are in power.

Feisty - Don't forget about Romney's failure as a military leader which can be traced through his fathers delusions when called upon.

George Romney said that the U.S. Government was trying to "brainwash" him into serving in the military.

Mitt Romney along the same line runs to France to avoid serving Vietnam.

Supporters of Romney are heiling his presidency as the President of Peace that will flow over the world like water and all will be fine.

Not even wrong.

Such weakness will be used by the enemy to further the goal of Osama Bin Laden creating a Bin Laden Empire throughout the Middle East.

It is a shame that a woman has to blame herself because Obama do not take responsability for his failure. Good luck.

NOW I get why Obama's been spending so much time with Letterman and Colbert...he's tapping their brains for material. How about he get back to D.C. and do the job we're paying him to do. When did they put late night sidekick in the job description? After January the "Joe & BO Show" in D.C. will be cancelled, so maybe he's auditioning to be Letterman's permanent second banana. Mr. Obama is just waiting for the "Lame Duck Session" to kick it and then he will use the Senate to ratify all the United Nations "treaties" Ambassador Rice will vote YEA on. He will not have to direct his Progressive Cabinet members to issue new "regulations" nor have the legislation go through Congressional Proceedings ("Man on Five" Chicago politics). And one of those treaties will be a TAX on Internet usage:

The United Nations is considering a new Internet tax targeting the largest Web content providers, including Google, Facebook, Apple, and Netflix, that could cripple their ability to reach users in developing nations.

@Blue4u - good post. The nut doesn't drop too far from the tree in the Romney forest.

During the last debate, Romney alluded that single parent households caused failure in life (sitting across from the President of the United States ... who came from a single parent household.)

Romney also indicated that it was bad parenting that caused kids to be aggressive and created the crime problems we see in the younger set. Then his son, after the debate, said he wanted to punch the president ... a sign of bad parenting, perhaps?

There is a lot of difference between out and out lying as Romney does, and saying something with every intention of doing it as Obama did but then Bush's Great Recession hits making it almost impossible, then the teabagger republicans block the jobs bill and everything else and REALLY makes it impossible.

Gee, isn't Obama clever? One of his minions gave him a catchphrase and the media laps it up. Too bad the left isn't interested in fixing the economy and creating an environment that will create private sector jobs. Fortunately, most Americans see Obama and his policies for what they are. If they were great then they'd be touting them. Instead, all they have is talking about everything else but what Obama's policies have done to this country. Heck, NBC seems to think that the only news is the the news they create, as in creating phony polls that show Obama leading and then touting that as if it were news. You have to go on other websites to find out what is really going on in the country and the world. But, this site is good for 2 things. One, to find out what die-hard libs are saying. And two, it's the most user friendly comments board on the internet.

"Big Bird"

-Of course that's what Obama's going to talk about, because that's the only budget cut that Romney has offered. As soon as he puts something else on the table - anything else - that will be talked about as well.

"Binders full of women"

-The phrase is Romney's, not Obama's, and frankly too good and strange to pass up.

"Romnesia"

-Kind of rolls off the tongue doesn't it? Plus, it's one of those words that encapsulates it all - pithy, pungent and perfect for the occasion.

Barry wants to talk about ANYTHING but his dismal record of failures.

-He's been talking about his accomplishments for some time now: rescuing an economy in free fall, salvaging the auto industry, building a solid foundation for job growth, pulling the reins in on Wall Street, ending one war and winding down another, decimating Al Quida and much more.

His singular failure is in not convincing voters that a Democratic Congress (or at least a responsible Republican Congress) is necessary to progress. Still working on that.

So.... Please.... Somebody provide the details of exactly what happened... not hear say, second handed and politically skewed details but objectively garnered details from first hand witnesses.

Or, I can wait until the process works itself through and a well documented and vetted assessment is available.

Really???

If that is your hang up, how about those actual lies Bush told about WMDs? How long did it take for GW Bush to respond to Clinton warning about bin Laden attack? That"d be none.

New documents uncovered by investigative journalist Kurt Eichenwald show that despite repeated, urgent warnings from intelligence officials about an impending Al Qaeda attack, Bush did nothing because his neoconservative advisers told him that the threats were merely a “ruse” and a distraction.

Obama has a very good economic record.

Our growth rate is 10% higher than when he took office. Our economy is creating jobs at 900,000 better than when Obama took office. The auto industry avoided collapse and is now profitable and expanding. The banks have returned to profit. The stock market has doubled from its March 2009 low. The housing market is seeing price increases which have increased homeowner equity and wealth. The housing industry is expanding, last month at a 17% better rate than the year before. Unemployment is down and workers at retirement age can now retire feeling their 401K 's have recovered their value and their homes can be sold if they desire to relocate to an area in which they would like to live in retirement. Consumer debt is down and consumer spending is up. We still have a ways to go, but the economy has not been stronger since 2007 (and even then their were warning signs of economic peril ahead).

Our economy would be even better if the Republicans had passed the infrastructure and job bill stimulus measures Obama proposed.

But, Republicans wanted Obama to fail even if it hurt America's recovery. A list of those plotters includes Paul Ryan and Newt Gingrich among other leading Republicans. These Republicans placed their bets against Obama and our economic recovery from the worst financial crisis since the great Depression.

Many Republicans choose not to remember how bad 2008 was. John McCain wanted to suspend the campaigns for President and cancel a debate to deal with the crisis. Bush bailed out the banks to a tune of $700 billion and this measure was essential to save the financial system from collapse. Some Republicans voted for it, but many did not because they were concerned about budget deficits even though they had voted for two tax cuts, an unfunded prescription drug plan and two unfunded wars.

Economic insanity was prevalent in the Republican Party in 2008. It has only gotten worse since with the election of all those tea Party types who think you can cut your way to economic growth. You can't.

In Europe, the Germans have forced austerity on countries with high debt loads. Unemployment rates in Spain and Greece approach 25% and government tax revenues only get worse cancelling out the savings from the budget cuts.

Those who want to blame Obama for our slow recovery do so for political advantage. Romney has no legitimate plan to speed our recovery. And Obama tried to speed it up last year. Now, it may speed up on its own. Retail sales in the 4th quarter of this year will be way up as will hiring. Most large businesses have the cash to expand and they need to because they have run out of things to cut in their quest for greater profits. We have the workers raring to go. Consumer confidence is up.

We are poised for higher growth with Obama's plan and the revenue growth from higher growth and the reduced costs of unemployment will cut our budget deficit in half. That is the track we are on. Tougher cuts in government spending can be made after unemployment declines so economic growth is not hurt.

You are spot on when you refer to not having a record of accomplishments to run on. What has this administration have that they can run on? Obamacare, that he spent so much of his first year ramroding through his House and Senate, controlled by Democrats? Had a hard time there passing his stuff, and had to have those closed door meetings with his own party to Stuff-the-Bucket with pork that he said he would put a stop to.

The country needed jobs, but he needed his signature health package.

But Barry is excellent when it comes to funding stuff for his contributors in the solar industry. Or the unions in the car industry. How many $B's are still owned to the taxpayers?

So, what happened? Suddenly, your VALUES aren't your values anymore? Suddenly, the whackadoo Magic Underwear Cult of Mormonism where women are second class at best (but only on a really good day) is totally fine with you guys -- when 4 years ago, it was the laughingstock of your political party?

It may have worked had your boss not lost all credibility with the American people when he now says that he called it a terrorist attack in the Rose Garden on 9/12, when everything he and the administration said for 2 weeks after that is that it was in response to a youtube video. Then, boss #2 explained during the VP debate that the administration had been blaming it on a youtube video the whole time because it was "faulty intelligence". How do you admit that you had the story wrong to then turn around and claim that you had the story right, but chose to lie for the next two weeks? It seems to me that there is a lot of "faulty intelligence" at the top of the current administration.

All I can say is if Romney is elected and is able to push through his tax plan...... The US will go down over the cliff.........VERY SIMPLE...

By taking away tax on interest income, dividend income, capital gain income and the estate tax.... where do you think revenue would have to come from -- everyone that has to work hard for a living. This tax decrease only benefits those that have the capital wealth to keep reinvesting. But that does not mean reinvesting in small business that create jobs that means reinvesting in the finance industry to make more money that is not taxed. That means Romney will pay 0% tax and I will still pay my 24%. But it seems that no one understands that. If you can reply with facts or a different way to look at it..... I have an open mind. But I have been in the tax and finance industry for 40 years... I prepared tax returns when the rate was 52% to 75%. Do not tell me the tax will come from increased jobs.... that even supports my point of who will pay the tax.

You betcha! our economy is really humming right along, for starters...

Last months jobless rate dropped 3 tenths of a % based on adding, what was it again? around 120k jobs? What was that shaak? that amount is barely above the number of jobs we need to keep up with our population growth, right. Seems that all those long term UE folks just dropped off of the labor dept rolls.

Yepper, let's not forget about our economic growth in the areas of food stamps and poverty levels.

Seems that obama wants to deflect all he can from his 2008 slogan "hope and change" by refusing to define his plans for an economic recovery. It was so very droll of mr obama to tell us he was willing to cut spending on programs that he held so dear to his heart, but then didn't specify which ones. Then he spouted of on how increasing the taxes on the top 2% would fix the economy, solve medicare shortfalls, reduce our national debt, increase educational spending, fund obamacare, etc, etc and etc.

Even little joe biden shouild have found something wrong with obamas math... imagine an added trillion $ over 10 years will fix everything according to obama and company. Of course both obama and biden think that a stronger economic recovery is just a laugh away and a bunch of malarky.

Romney had it right, our country needs economic growth, not more regs on small businesses. The wealthy can afford a cut in their discretionary income, but main street can't.

Doesn't take a rocket scientist to find things on the web, however it becomes a big problem for Progressives to search for, and admit to, the truth.

Ido, the following bold-type text (bold is mine) is from your own link. Perhaps you should have read it. Since you can't be bothered to search for the truth in your own links, I doubt you'll admit to the fact that the US is not going to sign on to taxation of the internet. The truth is below.

The U.S. delegation to the Dubai summit, which will be headed by Terry Kramer, currently an entrepreneur-in-residence at the Harvard Business School, is certain to fight proposals for new Internet taxes and others that could curb free speech or privacy online.

By the way, the UN has no authority to levy taxes.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/47623432/ns/technology_and_science-wireless/t/congress-consider-giving-more-control-internet-un/#.UHb4k8XA_Zc

"This is one of those circumstances where I think it's fair to say there's absolute unanimity. I don't believe you'd find any dissent at all to the view that we would like to keep the Internet free of inter-governmental controls," said a State Department official, who was not authorized to speak on-the-record about the discussions.

http://www.state.gov/e/eb/rls/rm/2010/168622.htm

The United States consistently has opposed the extension of intergovernmental
controls over the Internet. Remitting it to intergovernmental control—whether
the ITU or otherwise—would produce two very bad outcomes in our view. First, it
inevitably would diminish the dynamism of the Internet. For reasons that cannot
be overcome, intergovernmental institutions are notoriously slow in taking
decisions. Second, it just as inevitably would open the way for the introduction
of extraneous considerations, the most noxious of which would be content
controls.

Why would any administration wish to see this happen? This is simultaneously
difficult and easy to see. The easy part: clearly, there are numerous
administrations that see the openness of the Internet as a threat to the
security of their entrenched political regimes, to internal order, and to
traditional culture. They would gladly sacrifice the dynamism and efficiency of
the Internet to these considerations. The harder part: there are administrations
that are troubled by the anomaly that an asset as important to national
wellbeing as the Internet is not subject to national control, or at least some
form of shared control with other nations. In this regard, there also tends to
be an exaggerated sense of the extent to which the United States controls the
Internet. These sovereignty considerations—although more benign that the
alternative inclination to limit the Internet for political purposes—also would
put the dynamism of the Internet at risk.

It is too bad that the Romney that the President's campaign invented is not the Romney that the President end up debating. The President has been spending so much time talking about Romney that he has told us very little about what he is going to do in the next four years. During his first four years the President promised to cut the deficit in half by the end of his first administration. That did not happen. For the next 4 years the President talked about bringing the troops home in 2014 and with the money saved to start paying back the National Debt but his White House is predicting huge deficits for at least another decade. The President has always wanted to increase taxes on the "rich" but congress has not gone along with the idea and his "reaching across the isle" has not solved the problem. His increased taxes on the rich would net at most 100 billion dollars per year which is not enough to bridge a shortfall of more than a trillion dollars per year. The President's stimulus spending bill did not work as advertised. If it had, unemployment would be less that 6% and not 7.8%. Apparently the President wants to do more of the same. He wants the spend more on education and infrastructure but he does not say where the money is going to come from but one can only assume that we are to just borrow more. I estimate that the money the federal government is borrowing now is going to end up costing the tax payers 10 times the amount borrowed to repay over the next 180 years. It is much better for the tax payers if the states borrow money as opposed to the federal government. Apparently the President wants the federal government to pay 10 times the going rate for goods and services regarding education and infrastructure so that our unemployed will be better educated and have a better transportation system to use to get to those jobs that they do not have. The President as the nations CEO needs to provide to the tax payers a plan for paying back all of this money that the federal government owes. The tax payers have a right to know how much all of this federal borrowing is going to end up costing them. Hope that things change is not going to fix the economy.

American

Poised for economic growth means we are ready to speed ahead. We could have sped up recovery with more infrastructure spending and a jobs bill. Bush had two rounds of stimulus spending for that little recession following the .com bust. Obama's first stimulus ended the recession (-8.5% growth 4th quarter 2008, 800,000 jobs lost per month) and sped growth to 4% when stimulus ran out. That is when economy started to slow in early 2011 and a second round of stimulus would have kept it humming, but Republicans blew up that plan.

Republicans wanted to be able to blame Obama for slow growth. That is why they blocked his second round of stimulus. Republicans did not care about the unemployed. They did not care about growth. They did not care about the people who were suffering. Republicans are to blame for our present slow growth, but our economy is recovering and as I said it is poised to speed ahead.

There are two reasons you can never tell what Romney's really saying.

1) He changes his stance for every audience (wide one with the base, narrow in public), and

2) He uses 'weasel words" like "I need a new accountant" instead of answering the question.

Notice what he said about his tax cut. He didn't say that he DOESN'T plan to cut $5 trillion in taxes.

What he SAID was that he doesn't plan to add it to the deficit.

Now, anybody who can do arithmetic knows there aren't enough "loopholes and deductions" to pay for $5 trillion in tax cuts.

So, what Romney is saying is that the REST is coming out of the FEDERAL BUDGET. From food stamps, unemployment benefits, infrastructure funds, Medicaid, education funding, Medicare as we know it for ALL of us, an increase in the Social Security retirement age, elimination of the Centers for Disease Control, FDA, EPA, etc. etc. (Notice how he talks about the STATES providing services. With what money?) In fact, the Tax Policy Institute said that Romney's plan would REDUCE FEDERAL REVENUES BY 24%.

So we should ask ourselves - are we willing to give up all that to give millionaires ANOTHER tax break and hope they "trickle" some of it back? Again?

Any comment from MSNBC? No.

This is the most insulting comment to the Ambassador and the Security personal that was killed , due to the irresponsibility of this administration. This is why Obama is losing, he is worry in stupid things like Romniesia ,the big bird that make 450,000,000 a year , living in welfare and old enough to fly without help. while AlQaeda is growing. Along with him his campaign chief David Axelrod white bitter guy and with Stephani Carter the lier, they all make a good team of losers. It is a shame that our President is so inept that all he can do is demonise the other candidate. It turns out after the fact checking that Obama spent most of the last debate lying.

Just as he has said in the past,"If you can't run on your record, attack the other guy." Paraphrased somewhat but captures the gist of it. Perhaps he suffers from "Romnesia" and doesn't remember what he has said in the past.

We now know that the reason why the last report with jobless figures showed a "decrease" is because the figures for the State of California were "inadvertently" kept out of the report. What a story! I wonder how many Americans know about it.

When the incorrect jobless figures came out last week, NBC News kept that story on the main page for several days. The more important story, that an "error" made those figures completely worthless, where is it? The last time I checked, it was buried under "Economy Watch" under the misleading headline "Jobless claims take big jump in latest week". The big issue of why this week's figures "take a big jump" over the previous weeks was sadly buried and sanitized as a mere “issue of timing”.

The truth behind the inaccuracy of last week’s figures is not so much the issue, because regardless of what a “report” may state, Americans know in their gut that things are just not “better” than they were four years ago. What is important is the shameless manipulation of data for political purposes by the Obama administration in a way that Americans have never encountered before. Americans find it hard to believe that their government would manipulate data as shamelessly as the Obama administration, so they find it hard to believe that such "accidents" are anything other than "accidental." They would believe it about a third-world government, but not about ours.

What is their plan in trying to stop the growth of Islamist extremists in the ME, extremists I might add who became stronger under Obama.

Obama & Biden are too busy trying to find ways to make fun of the other party.

Has Jon Stewart made a statement on Obama's "not optimal" mention?

A portion of the American people can't be stupid enough to vote for these clowns.

You're being misled (to put it kindly) you're not even thinking, and you're attempting to discourage other Americans from thinking. Do you know why the polls are now showing that Romney is leading nationally?

    #1.124 - Fri Oct 19, 2012 6:19 PM EDT

    @Ido /sigh where do I start...

The "Law of the Sea Treaty" does not do much except say that the 200 mile boarder we ALREADY claim is an economic one. That we are responsible for controlling those waters and enforcing any laws. It has only been around since Reagan and we are one of the only major nations left in the world that has not signed it. Please explain to me what is so bad about this and how this threatens the nation?

The "Financial Transactions Treaty" is not a tax on internet usage moron, but a proposed tax on internet sales. Stop listening to Amazon that already gets away without paying any taxes in California due to how anyone can propose bills in that state. Amazon paid people to go out and get the signatures so they could get away without paying taxes. Many states have sales tax and they cannot collect sales tax if the company does not have a store or outlet in that state. Many states are trying to get similar bills passed in this country. What is so bad about making people pay the taxes they are supposed to be paying? Would our debt be so bad if people had been paying their taxes for the last 30 years? NO IT WOULD NOT.

The "Small Arm Treaty" is to stop illegal arms dealers from selling large amounts of guns from nation to nation. Do you illegally sell lots of guns to people that should not have them? How this bad and what is Mitt going to do different? Quick question. How many countries signed the Hague Deceleration or Geneva Conventions? How many of those countries can you buy hollow point bullets in? More RWNJ talking points I take it?

Mitt's plan will make our economy worse. It adds more to our debt and cuts our revenue even more. There is no reason to vote for Mitt if he is going to make our economy EVEN worse. He cannot pay for it even with his "limited bucket" of deductions, which just means middle class people will not be able to take all the benefits/deductions that they qualify for. Once the bucket is full they cannot use any more deductions EVEN IF THEY QUALIFY FOR THEM. HOW IS MITT GOING TO PAY FOR IT ALL? I do not trust politicians as far as I can throw them, TRY AGAIN. How long has it been since we raised taxes on the rich? Why not give that a try since lowering them over and over again does nothing, but to allow the rich to get even richer? Has Obama's policy of raising taxes on the rich been implemented? What effect would that have on our debt? Would it be as high? NO IT WOULD NOT.

I still would prefer an Independent over Obama, but Mitt scares me since he will do whatever Norquist, the Koch Brothers, David Siegel, Rick Scott, etc. tell him to do. He will do and sign whatever they want him to and they are the reason for this economic mess in the first place. They think they are better then everyone else and that they should be treated like royalty since they are so special. They are special alright...they have a case of "money hoarding". Been saying it for 2 years now that they are money addicts, cannot stop themselves, AND GET REWARDED FOR IT... Yet everyone thinks I am kidding about it WTF?

"Americans know in their gut that things are just not "better" than they were four years ago"

Well those Americans who know in their gut that things are not better than they were four years ago must have been living as American expatriates on another planet somewhere! Were you living in the United States in late 2008? You must not have been. The economy was tanking, man! The financial sector was in a state of complete collapse. We were having runs on banks at that time because many people were afraid their banks were going to fail, and many banks were either closing permanently or at least having to close their doors temporarily to avoid the panic. We were losing jobs at the rate of 800,000 per month. My God, man! What planet were yo living on in 2008? On a lighter note, how was the scenery on that planet?

Housing starts are up, housing inventories are down, and housing prices have increased in my area 4.6% over last year (and yes, I know, it is not the same across the country, but it never was, and never will be). You can talk all the gloom and doom you want to support your ideology, but I, and others like me, don't see it. Mitt and Ann Romney made at least $15.3 million from the bailout..and a few of Romney's most important Wall Street donors made more than $4 billion. This is an interesting read, link below, talk about hypocrites. Just another reason why Romney does not want you to see his tax returns!

In September, the Obama campaign launched television ads blasting Romney's November 2008 New York Times op-ed, "Let Detroit Go Bankrupt." But Romney has done a good job of concealing, until now, the fact that he and his wife, Ann, personally gained at least $15.3 million from the bailout—and a few of Romney's most important Wall Street donors made more than $4 billion. Their gains, and the Romneys', were astronomical—more than 3,000 percent on their investment.

Romney's "job creators" did create jobs—in China, where Delphi now produces the parts used by GM and other major automakers here and abroad. Delphi is now incorporated overseas, leaving the company with 5,000 employees in the United States (versus almost 100,000 abroad).

The Libyan's that saw the attack said the attackers told them it was revenge for the Video. So why is it so hard for the Reputards to understand that a local terrorist group would use a popular issue as an excuse to launch a terrorist act.All this BS about the President getting it wrong is ridiculous.Instead of coming together as Democrats did with Republicans during 9/11. There's video, why cant we all see it? There are memo's and emails, etc., why are we all not entitled to that info? Or is this just an inconvenient time to bring it up? When will it be convenient?

Whoever is on here saying that they aren't better off today then when the bushwhacker left office has Dementia. In my neighborhood homes are selling again, foreclosure rates are down, Unemployment has dropped, but not because of our republican govern, Wacko Walker, who's Economic Development Board has today misplaced $69,000,000 and doesn't know where it went!, my investments and the Stock Market are up almost 50% from their low right after bush left office, two neighbors have gone back to work paying their bills, gas prices have dropped today to $3.47.9 (a drop of 25 cents in a week). What planet are you living on?

Of course the top 1% now own 42% of the wealth which is up 1% as well and is a crime since Romney thinks they need more than 42%.

"Virginia Delegate Barbara Comstock responded to the president’s remarks on behalf of the Romney campaign, saying in a statement: "Women haven’t forgotten how we’ve suffered over the last four years in the Obama economy with higher taxes, higher unemployment, and record levels of poverty. President Obama has failed to put forward a second-term agenda -- and when you don’t have a plan to run on, you stoop to scare tactics."

"With higher taxes" What higher taxes? These right wing nut jobs keep telling lies within their enclosed circles that they start believing their made up stories. Then they come out of their closed cocoons and repeat the lies to the world and are shocked when they're called liars. They then rationalize that the rest of the world is lying because their view has been corroborated, over and over, within their cocoon of delusional, right wing nut jobs.

Back to this brainwashed harpy. The only taxes that Obama has been trying to raise (actually it's not a raise, it's returning to what the taxes were before Bush) is on the wealthiest 2% of the population, those earning more than $250K.

If these people don't get out of their cocoons, their right wing propaganda blogs and out of Fox News, then episodes like the one where Romney was fact-checked by Candy, in front of 65 million viewers, and made to look like a buffoon, will happen more and more.

Very reminiscent of the final days of the Third Reich, where Hitler and his cronies, huddled up in their bunker, kept telling themselves that they were winning the war as the Allies and the Soviets entered Berlin.

Wait a minute!! This Barbara lady is infected! She has Romnesia; but it seems a bit more advanced--it's to the point of Delusional Romnesia Syndrome, or DRS.

I hate to say it, but even liberals deserve better than Obama.

            Lets recap Obama's campaign:

            "Big Bird"

            "Binders"

            "Mr Coal"

"Hillary is to blame not me"

            "Romnesia"

            What a joke.

Be careful folks. With Obummer on the campaign trail there is a definite possibility that you could catch OBAMITIS. It is a condition known to exist in people who have nothing positive in their resume' so they reduce themselves to ridiculing their opponent. Symptoms are mainly manifested by their antics that closely parallel a nine-year-old. Their identifying marks are their brown eyes and the red ring around their necks - they have their heads so far up their leaders @$$ that all they can see is brown and they use his sphincter muscle as a collar.

It's one thing to not serve. Less than 1% of the U.S. population chooses to do so.

It's another thing to champion for a war then run to another country to avoid serving in a war you agreed with.

                Do you understand now?

Representative Issa is releasing classified documents during an ongoing investigation, that has National Security implications. President Obama needs to have Attorney General Eric Holder, appoint a special prosecutor and go after Rep. Issa. The only reason Issa is doing this is because he wants a distraction for Romney...he wants the President to be off balance and consumed with the failures of Benghazi, at the same time, feeding Milton Romney classified information to benefit his own campaign. "Issa" wanna see Issa go away and very quickly!

                KingK,

                "Handouts?"

Through tax cuts and schemes, Obama's predecessor by trillions of dollars, allowed the elites to raid the U.S. Treasury. Are these the handouts that you are referring to? Through war Halliburton profited by billions. Are these the handouts that you are referring to? Romney's offshore money accounts is nothing less than tax dodging. Are these the handouts that you are talking about? Romney wants to lower the tax rate for corporations. Are these the handouts that you are talking about? At Bain, the workers that Mitt dumped, stood on unemployment lines. Are these the handouts you are talking about?

Mitt is not concerned about the above handouts.

Oddly, Romney is concerned about the "handouts" through Social Security that our senior citizens, the infirmed, the disabled veterans are receiving, the "greedy" 47%!

I really hate this because what most people fail to understand is that our political system is a farce. Both the Democrats and the Republicans are play acting and do this wonderful show for us, but in the end, they serve their true masters, "the corporations!" Have you ever asked, "why hasn't President Obama gotten rid of the tax cuts for the wealthy when he promised to do so if elected?" It's because he is one of the wealthy. But then there is Romney who has already told people when he thought no one was listening that he doesn't care about the poor. People speak the truth when they think no one else can hear them. What's really funny is that most of the people who will vote for him are poor. Guess they want to wait another 30 years hoping for something to trickle down to them. Our government needs to be seriously overthrown by a 3rd party that is REALLY for the people of America and not just full of words and B Freaking S!!!

                  Maybe a talking point?

I wonder how many collectivists it took to think this one up. We know it wasn't Barrack Hussein, he can't even come up with a budget for 1,270 days. Maybe it was Debbie Whatsername Slutz.

So, let's see, in the past we've had Sandra Fluks, war on women, Romneys taxes, fraud, outsourceing, Bush, Big Bird and the most recent "binders".

Of course do you hear ANYTHING about Barrack Husseins plan for the future?

Let's see tax the rich, which will do NOTHING to decrease the deficit, let alone the massive debt he keeps accumulating.

We keep hearing about "fair", "fair share", "play by the same rules" and a "level playing field". All nice, cutesy Liberal talking points but no one can define them, let alone decide who can decide what is fair.

No domestic policy, no energy policy, no economic policy, no foreign policy.

Barrack Hussein, the no policy president.

But Libbies can keep coming up with bogeymen like Bush, Big Bird and "binders" better than anyone on the planet.

It must be such a dark and dank place trying to live in the Liberal mind.

                  TheKhanKubia,

From the GOP, Obama could not have foresaw the historical political obstruction that he has faced.

What other U.S. president has faced such recalcitrance by the senate and particularly the congress? It is well known that the right vowed to stand in the way of Obama being a successful president. The GOP has been so unyielding about not having taxes raised for the wealthy that the party has held this country hostage. Because of Republican stubbornness, our credit rating was lowered.

If Obama had not agreed to the extension of the tax cuts for the rich, he would not have been successful in passing any legislation, legislation that benefited the middle class and poor.

                    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/09/18/brian-terry-fast-and-furious_n_1892271.html

The Obama Administration has abruptly sealed court records containing alarming details of how Mexican drug smugglers murdered a U.S. Border patrol agent with a gun connected to a failed federal experiment that allowed firearms to be smuggled into Mexico.

The now-sealed federal grand jury indictment tells the frightening story of how Terry was gunned down by Mexican drug smugglers patrolling the rugged desert with the intent to “intentionally and forcibly assault” Border Patrol agents.

You can see why the administration wants to keep this information from the public and the media, considering the smugglers were essentially armed by the U.S. government. Truth is, no one will know the reason for the confiscation of public court records in this case because the judge’s decision to seal it was also sealed, according to the news story. That means the public or media won’t have access to any new or old evidence, filings, rulings or arguments.

How can you possibly bash Mitt Romney (and his father) for not serving in the military? Exactly how many days did Obama serve in the military?

Barack Obama was born in 1961. He was forty years old on 9/11... a little bit late to join the military, wouldn't you say? His grandfather served proudly and courageously during WW II.

Obama has been a stellar C-I-C.

Then we have Mitt Romney. He was a Vietnam era draft dodger who supported the war! (surprise, surprise...) He was happy to send other young men his age to die in the jungles of Vietnam in his place while he skipped off to France on his "mission" to convert the French to Mormonism. How did that go, Mitt?

No one in Mitt's family, going all the way back to his great grandfather-- who fled U.S. law to go live in Mexico with his five wives-- has ever served in the U.S. military. Mitt has five sons, none of whom has ever served in the military. How many Americans can say that? How many of us have not a single ancestor who served in any war?

Romney believes in war. He believes in sending other people's children off to fight war. He would never fight, his sons have never fought, and none of his ancestors have ever fought.

Romney is a hypocrite. And please don't give me the 'he had a mission to serve' B.S. Other Mormons have joined the military.

Have you ever had a Mormon missionary at your door? Does anyone besides the Mormons feel that those 'missions' they go on actually benefit anyone? They are out there for one reason: to convert more people to their cult.

So don't give us that excuse Mitt. You are are tough talking bully with the heart of a coward.

obama and his voter base will have to be placed on suicide watch when he loses next month. Desperate people will do desperate things, and when despite their desperation they still fail.....well all I can say is stay away from buildings with more then 1 floor as we may have a repeat of what happened in the early 1900's when the stock market crashed!!!!.

So how does that relate to the military service of Obama vs. Romney? Neither man chose a military career. You can't fault Obama for not joining the military in peacetime when Romney both supported the war of his era yet refused to fight in it.

The Romneys have never served in the miltary, going all the way back.

My ancestors fought in both World Wars, the Civil War, and the Revolutionary War.

Romney is a liar and a coward.

In the autumn of 1969, Clinton entered the draft but received a high number (311) and was never called to serve -- however, Clinton made every effort to avoid the draft prior to entering it.

First, Bill Clinton received education deferments while at Georgetown and Oxford (where he helped organize demonstrations against the war). Second, Clinton attempted to avoid the draft for four years by enrolling, but never joining, the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC). Clinton had enrolled in the ROTC hoping to avoid military service for four years, but, wanting a future in politics, had a change of heart and entered the draft.

In December 1969, safe from the draft with his high lottery number, Clinton changed his mind about joining the ROTC program and wrote a letter to the director of the ROTC program thanking him "for saving me from the draft" and regretted misleading him by not revealing the extent of his opposition to the war. The letter was leaked by the Pentagon to ABC news early in the 1992 fueled criticism of candidate Clinton's character.

Later in the 1992 campaign, it became known that Clinton's uncle had attempted to get Bill Clinton a Navy Reserve assignment during the Vietnam war. Clinton said he didn't know anything about it to the press on September 3, 1992 but a day later admitted that a former draft board member had informed him of his uncles' attempt several months before.

                      Not enough?

How about our current vice president Joe “Bite Me” Biden.

Officials with Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama's campaign released Biden's Selective Service records at the request of The Associated Press in 2008.

According to the documents, Biden, received several deferments while he was an undergraduate at the University of Delaware and later as a law student at Syracuse University. A month after undergoing a physical exam in April 1968, Biden received a Selective Service classification of 1-Y, meaning he was available for service only in the event of national emergency.

"As a result of a physical exam on April 5, 1968, Joe Biden was classified 1-Y and disqualified from service because of asthma as a teenager," said David Wade, a campaign spokesman.

In "Promises to Keep," a memoir that was published in 2007 and became an instant best-seller after he was tapped as Obama's running mate, Biden NEVER mentions his asthma, recounting an active childhood, work as a lifeguard and playing football in high school.

So, a life threatening ailment that kept him from serving is never mentioned in his OWN MEMOIRS and never prevented him from playing very strenuous sports such as football or being a lifeguard.

I hate to say it but I think this is typical for the delusional Liberal mind.

Maybe Dan Rather can write a book about this.

Clinton and Biden is a liar and a coward.

                      Spin that hypocrite.

Mitt Romney, the candidate. Job experience: pioneered Gordon Gecko style profiteering from outsourcing American industry and jobs. Religion: cult member and High Priest of the LDS. Foreign affairs experience: none. Political platform: will tell you when elected.

While the state of the economy is important, it isn't everything. There are other issues that matter to people as well. Romney's tax returns are important. You don't want a crook in office, do you? The matter of reproductive rights is a personal matter and should not be controlled by the government. You conservatives claim you are for less government, and yet you support passing laws that give the government much more; not less control over people's personal lives. You are always contradicting yourselves. Where is your love of freedom? With you emphasis on the economy to the exclusion of everything else, you remind me of Esau, in the Bible story of Esau and Jacob, who sold his birthright for a bowl of stew.

Actually it is Obama that is suffering from Obamanesia. He says things that sound good at the time but but are really just bs that he forgets about. His economic plan for the next 4 years suffers from being mathematically impossible, He promised that the 2012 federal deficit would not exceed 229.27 billion dollars yet, contrary to the President's promise the deficit exceeded 1.1 trillion dollars.

The Obama administration document on the stimulus stated what the stimulus was designed to do. According to that document if the stimulus were passed unemployment would not go above 8%. That did not happen. The Obama administration created and used this document to sell the stimulus spending bill as the solution to the nations unemployment problems. The stimulus did not solve our unemployment problem. According to that official administration document if the stimulus did its job as it was designed then unemployment should now be well below 6%. Furthermore, if the stimulus bill had done its job then the President would not have to propose a second stimulus. The numbers in that document were not presented as speculation, they were presented as specification. This official Obama administration document said what the stimulus was going to do. Clearly what the Obama administration said would happen did not happen.

To me, reelecting the Presdient means 4 more years of the same just hoping that things change. The Presdent's new program to fix the the economy is just more of his same on going program to fix the economy. My biggest concern is all of the debt that has been building up. I estimate that an additional 5 trillion dollars of debt will end up costing the tax payers 50 trillion dollars to repay in 180 years. I agree with the President when he stated:

And the cost of our debt is one of the fastest growing expenses in the Federal budget. This rising debt is a hidden domestic enemy, robbing our cities and States of critical investments in infrastructure like bridges, ports, and levees; robbing our families and our children of critical investments in education and health care reform; robbing our seniors of the retirement and health security they have counted on.

Every dollar we pay in interest is a dollar that is not going to investment in America’s priorities. Instead, interest payments are a significant tax on all Americans–a debt tax that Washington doesn’t want to talk about. If Washington were serious about honest tax relief in this country, we would see an effort to reduce our national debt by returning to responsible fiscal policies.

Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that “the buck stops here. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.

                          ~ Senator B. H. Obama, March 2006

Is this going to help Obama with women?

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton says in a new interview that she can't stand "whining" by women who are unhappy with the work and family choices they've made in life and complain that they have no options.

Clinton, in the interview with Marie Claire, was discussing Anne-Marie Slaughter, a former director of policy planning at the State Department who left in 2011. This summer, Slaughter wrote a much-discussed cover story in the Atlantic — "Why Women Still Can't Have It all" — about leaving her job because of the difficulty of balancing her work at State with the needs of her two teenage boys.

"I can't stand whining," Clinton told Marie Claire. "I can't stand the kind of paralysis that some people fall into because they're not happy with the choices they've made. You live in a time when there are endless choices. … Money certainly helps, and having that kind of financial privilege goes a long way, but you don't even have to have money for it. But you have to work on yourself. … Do something!"

Clinton added, "Some women are not comfortable working at the pace and intensity you have to work at in these jobs. … Other women don't break a sweat. …They have four or five, six kids. They're highly organized, they have very supportive networks."

Benghazi- it was the video. For two weeks, it was the video.

Then, suddenly, when the lies caught up with them, it wasn't the video. It was a terrorist attack.

Of course, the State Department knew the day it happened that it was NOT the video. Are we to believe they did not communicate this to the White House?

And the intelligence community knew about over two dozen prior attacks on the consulate there; knew that the Red Cross and the British had pulled out- but, somehow, they didn't communicate this to the White House?

The endorsements just keep coming for Romney. Even big Dem supporters!

After a lifetime of voting for and supporting Democrats — and even declining appointment to the U.S. Senate from a Democratic governor — Lee Iacocca Thursday endorsed Republican Mitt Romney for president.

The blessings of the onetime Chrysler chairman are expected to help Romney in two highly competitive states: Pennsylvania, where the 88-year-old Iacocca was born and raised and is still widely respected, and in Michigan, where Iacocca rose to become a major figure in the auto industry and won international praise for cobbling together the government-backed loans that saved Chrysler in 1980.

Iacocca, who now lives in California, issued a statement saying he backed Romney because of his “dozens of years of experiences in the public and private sectors” and because the GOP nominee has a plan that “will enable a stronger America.”

I am 68 years old. I have never see an election in my life that has such hateful lies. The narrow minds..... The lack of knowledge of the tax structure.

Haven't been on much today. I see the topic is about Romnesia and for the GOP it is about Obama's use of the words - "not optimal" talking about what happened in Libya.

I would rather the President keep the Romnesia joke to last night. Ok I'll admit I chuckled, but I don't think that line will get any swing votes.

As far as the latest shiny object for the GOP, a slip of the tongue or taken out of context, or ill advised words - give me a break. The GOP is trying to paint Obama as someone who doesn't care or is trivalizing the tragedy in Benghazi.

No a President who trivialized a tragedy was George Bush when he parodied himself looking for weapons of mass destruction under his bed, in a closet and in the Lincoln bedroom. He willingly LAUGHED and JOKED about his WRONG assumption and cherry picked intelligence that lead us into Iraq. An assumption that killed more than 4,000 US military, maimed tens of thousands of soldiers and caused the death of hundreds of thousands of Iraqi's. He joked about one of the biggest mistakes in US military history and an event that forever changed the power structure of the middle east.

Romney failed as a job creator as Governor of Massachusetts. According to nonpartisan Massachusetts budget and Policy Center's 9-3-06 report:

Massachusetts’ experience in recovering from this latest recession stands in sharp contrast with its experience in recuperating from the recession of the early 1990s. Job losses were somewhat sharper during the early 1990s, but, by this point in the 1990s economic cycle, the Commonwealth had completely restored all of the jobs it had lost since that recession began. At the current pace of job growth (an annualized rate of 1.2 percent between September 2005 and June 2006), Massachusetts would not replace all of the jobs it has lost since the start of the 2001 recession until March 2010.

Romney did a lousy job at job creation as governor of Massachusetts.

She has Romnesia; but it seems a bit more advanced--it's to the point of Delusional Romensia Syndrome, or DRS.

It's not an issue of service. It's an issue of hypocrisy. At no point did Obama demonstrate in FAVOR of a war, then take a chicken@!$%# religious deferment to go holiday in France on some bogus "missionary" trip, right at the time of the Tet Offensive.

I am sorry for Ambassador Stevens and his staff and their families, but what was he thinking that on Sept 11 he would go out where there could be very little protection? He should have been in Tripoli at the embassy, which is very well protected. The president said the next day it was an act of terror. He also cited the fuse that helped ignite the protest. There were many instances where YOUR religious right threatened to burn Korans. It was solders under Commander in Chief Bush who burned Korans and pissed on Afghans and Iraqis. THEY tortured unduely. They ALL caused American deaths. Get over it. YOU are just mincing words but Romney does in fact suffer from romnesia.

I guess we just need to look at his fantastic vice presidential candidate and his gaffe parade (Anyone here serve in Iran! Stand up Joe! ad nauseum!) Kind of like how the savings from the wars are going to pay down the debt. So he is going to use borrowed money to pay down the debt. Romney's got a mental condition, no doubt about that.

His own sons say that Mitt goes wacky when he is separated from Ann for long. Ann has to stabilize him emotionally...they call her the Mitt Stabilizer.

So, what happens if Ann isn't available? What if she's not around? She's a very sick woman herself...we all know that. MS, breast cancer.

We need to be concerned about Mitt's mental state, which is admittedly fragile.

Kaybee, I would so agree to the Ann thing. Anytime they are interviewed together, he looks at her like a lost puppy wondering if he should say anything.

She did tell us that she was worried about his mental state and how hard this all is on their family.

I think they're a bit too fragile and have too many anger issues (Tagg wanting to punch the President) to truly be considered for office. They might just melt if you toss a little water on 'em.

Kaybeetoys, I've been very concerned about Romney's mental gymnastics. His flip flopping.

Do we want a president who agrees to one thing with his advisers, the public or heads of state... Then flips the next day and goes off to act on his whim?

In business they call that a "loose cannon".

Plus he is ego driven. His impulsiveness is not a good personality trait for the leader of the free world.

God help us if he wins this election.

The American people need to hear this TRUE story, its coming from Freeport IL. Bain Capital(which Romney owns 51% of) bought out a company, and fired almost all of its employees, except the ones who are forced into training Chinese workers how to run this company. Yes that's right Bain sold(outsourced) it to China, 250 people lost or are about to lose their jobs. And yes China is going to pay its workers $.99 per hr, thats right cents!!!! The workers of this company begged Romeny to stop by this summer, but of course he was to busy. Romney could of stopped this from happening, but he didn't, why? GREED, MONEY!!! He does not give a damn about the American worker.

Today on the Ed Schultz radio, a woman by the name of Sydney came on to tell how this is effecting her. She is one of the lucky ones who are still working, but has to work from 7am to 10:30pm just so she can train these Chinese workers, do they give her anything extra for her time, knowledge, experience, hell no, instead they give bonuses to the CEO's. Her last day is Dec 21(Merry Xmas) her story is so heart wrenching. Tonight Ed will be airing live from Freeport to tell the story.

WAKE UP AMERICA, THIS IS WHAT ROMNEY/RYAN/GOP/TEAPARTY ARE ALL ABOUT, AND YOU MAY BE NEXT.

WHY IS THE MEDIA NOT TELLING THIS STORY, THIS IS THE REALLY ROMNEY!

Romnesia is a very pleasant way to note that Romney is a liar. As politicians go, Romney is one of the all time champion liars. He can change positions within a week or a day if need be, or if the audiences are really disparate. But over a span of a year or two, he routinely spans 180 degrees on a topic. This is not NEW. He has been that way since 1994. He is looking to morph into that political superman, who can be all things to all people. I still say John McCain said it best in a debate when he sneered through his teeth: "You say you are the candidate of change, Governor. Well if there is one thing you are - it's the candidate of change." The crowd broke up. Teabaggers, listen up. You don't get on Mt. Rushmore or have a memorial near the mall in D.C. if your biggest asset is to spin around on every issue. Women should consider the lie he told about abortion recently when he stated he didn't want any change in the law. But only a few months before he boasted that he would gladly overrule Roe v. Wade if he could. And with Robert Bork in charge of his Supreme Court search committee, Romney WILL overturn Roe v. Wade.

In the last debate, Obama didn't have a teleprompter and he did great. His problem in the first debate has something to do with him being too polite, but it had more to do with Mitt's metamorphosis from "severely conservative" Mitt to "Moderate" Mitt. I know I was stunned at the amazing transformation.

Mitt Romney, "Who are you....who are you....?" what do you really stand for? Bigger deficits or tax cuts? Growth or budget cuts? Hard to know since he is so confusing as he shape shifts his way through the campaign.

I know who Obama is and I like him and the job he has done in fixing our broken economy.

I am 68 years old. I have never see an election in my life that has such hateful lies. The narrow minds..... The lack of knowledge of the tax structure.

Isn't that cute of JK? Romney was ganged up on in the debate. I would hate to see how Miss Mittsy would handle himself in a room full of Middle Eastern leaders if he can't hold his own with a debate moderator. Lucky thing Ann was there to change his diaper.

Speaking of which - did anyone catch Ann's nasty little snub of the President after the debate? Regardless of your opinions, that is not how any real American treats the President of the United States of America. I usually try to avoid comments about spouses, but that b*tch certainly did show her true hatred for the United States, didn't she!

Maybe, next week, Miss Mittsy will leave the dog at home.

From one of the biggest newspapers in Mormon Central:

Therefore, our endorsement must go to the incumbent, a competent leader who, against tough odds, has guided the country through catastrophe and set a course that, while rocky, is pointing toward a brighter day. The president has earned a second term. Romney, in whatever guise, does not deserve a first.

Wow, this is huge. If Romney can't carry his own people, he hasn't a chance with non-Mormons.

Well...explain to me why Hussein needed to hide behind the moderator? It's clear he wasn't up to the task in the first debate and then to see his "friends" prop him up so he wouldn't look like a fool the second round really was just too much to ask...

And you mind posting a ink to your "supposed" outrage about Ann Romney? It surely can't compare to the amount of waste that Michelle has spent on the tax payer's dime on vacations without the president. I would say tha if she doesn't have enough respect for the average tax payer that pays for her security on vacation without Hussein that then perhaps she needs to take a few lessons in respect for our country.

Obviously you need to watch the debate again, "jk". When you do, notice at the end when Mittsy's concubine comes out on the stage. It was a very clear and pointed snub of the President of the United States and all that the office stands for. You should spend a little more time pressuring your lying wimp to teach his concubine proper protocol instead of coming on hear using the President's middle name as a racist attempt to link him to something you think is bad.

Too bad you weren't such a budget hawk when Bush was spending all of that time in Crawford. Oh...that's right...you and your lying little friends can't remember a thing before 2009...

Please don't confuse all of the people in Utah as "Mitt's people." I have way too many liberal friends here and we live amongst the brethren the best we can. However, there are quite a few of the faithful that are thoroughly disgusted with Mitt's mouth.

jk, what are you talking about? President Obama knew he didn't do well in the first debate. The second debate he wasn't going to be overrun by the lies and rudeness of the gov. The President even invited Romney to proceed, that was very polite. And now we find out the Willard Mitt Romney is not very emotionally stable. It takes his wife to calm him down. Ann wasn't very happy after the last debate.

I personally think, and I know you don't care what I think, is that the president was pre-occupied with being the President and was working on other problems in his head after spending countless hours before the first debate. He also flew into Denver just a couple hours before the debate, so perhaps the thin air made him feel not fully at it. Who knows, point is, he knew he didn't do well, and he was determined not to let Romney get away with all the flip flopping and lying Romney is well known for. Perhaps Romney should get professional help since his whole family has from time to time hinted there is a very serious problem. Why hasn't he gotten back onto Bain? Could it be that it is too stressful for such a fragile man? Romnesia seems to be the best answer to his condition until he comes clean with it and tells us what the problem is.

He put it all onto himself. The question from the lady wasn't about hiring more women, it was about what he would do for equal pay for equal work. He was the one who said he asked for the list, which was a lie in of itself. He said when asked about budgets cuts mentioned Big Bird himself, even though that was one of the smallest cuts. He was the one who doubled down on Benghazi even though there is video proving him wrong. He was the one who secretly bashed 47% of all Americans. But yet he mentioned that in the debate giving the president a wide target. We can only wonder what his prepared counter was. We know he must have had one, but time ran out. It was his problem ego that told him to go first knowing he would not get the last word. All this being said, I wish Willard Mitt Romney well and that he gets the help he needs with his condition. You should also not vote form him if you care about his well being. The Office of the President is a very stressful place.

Obama/Biden 2012 Help Willard Mitt Romney get well and keep him in your prayers.

JK, President Obama didn't hide behind the moderator. She called Romney on the issue first. I was glad the president asked her to say it a little louder. I didn't quite catch what she said the first time. You do know she threw Romney a bone in there too, didn't you? The time for the Republican House to demand 100% is about over. The end to the open filibuster is about over.

Hey all you libs, the only parties in this current election which are using race to their advantage are the Democrats! Anytime they please they just whip out some kind of insinuation that a comment is racial (or sexist like in Romney's innocent "binder full of women" quip)! People in this country are getting so over the constant barrage of stupidity from the left and are just itching to kick Obama and his liberal cohorts to the curb! I understand that some people will always use the race angle to try to force feed everyone their liberal agenda, but, the majority of the people (far over 47%) are just sick and tired of this BS!

Laura, one thing you didn't mention in this...

During the training of these Chinese, they were not allowed to have an American flag flying at the entrance to the facility.

That is a bunch of BS. To bad Mitt Bain Romney didn't show up... maybe they could have hoisted him up the pole by his ankles so he could see just how upside down he really is.

President Obama has failed to put forward a second-term agenda -- and when you don’t have a plan to run on, you stoop to scare tactics."

Women haven’t forgotten how we’ve suffered over the last four years in the Obama economy with higher taxes,

From how she worded it she is trying to make people think that women pay more in taxes then men.

What a lie. To make someone pay more taxes because of their sexual gender is against the law. Typical spinning by an otherwise clueless nonsensical.

The only way they could pay more taxes is if they made more money.

There is no war on women in this country, except from the left who need new "victims" to save! Vote for me, those Tea Bagging conservatives want to take your birth control, abortion, and your very lives! They all hate you, want to force you to wear muslim veils and bow to all men! (Oh, I forgot, that is what liberals seem to want when they have tried to allow Islamic law to be integrated into our legal system!) Women are smart enough in this country to realize a titanic load of BS being shoveled on their laps! Women realize that a good economy will help themselves and their families get out from underneath the tons of crap "burying" the American people for the last four years! Also, I have not met a single conservative Republican who wants to take away birth control from women. Not a single conservative I have met believes that it is the Federal Government's right to legislate away legalized abortion! (They believe that under the Constitution it is the responsibility of the individual state to decide their own fates!)

The Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act was another version of liberal overreach which has virtually destroyed this country from within! Equal pay for equal work is what should happen, not another liberal "correction" which just adds costs to business and makes lawyers rich!

And the liberal slurs like "Romnesia" just help show the total ignorance of the Democratic party! If these same individuals would work for the good of this country instead of just trying to entrench their power, we would all be the better!

Ohio and Florida are the "precious" being sought by the two campaigns, so if you're lucky enough to live somewhere else, enjoy your weekend. If you do live in Florida or Ohio..TiVo!

The President has said that he wants to reform our tax code, invest in alternate energy, enact the Dream Act and immigration reform, enhance the manufacturing sector and address the deficit through both revenue and cost cutting. Sounds like a second term agenda to me.

Looks like St. Louis, yet again. I'd rather play SF, but either way, with our starting Pitching a has been off the charts, so it ought to be good cuz:

Okay, so most of you posters don't like Romney, and there's sure a lot not to like.

But don't EVER think Obama is a friend of the middle class.

Look at who was lobbied hardest for ObamaCare: the trial lawyers (once Obama took out malpractice reform); the big insurance companies (after Obama gutted all rules to let them compete in each others' states); Big Pharma; Big medical equipment manufacturers; and big hospital chains.

Who got short-changed? Your local family doctor, and seniors who are going to find fewer doctors willing to accept Medicare. That's who!

Obama talks the middle class talk. He walks the big special interest walk.

The one to two SC justices are probably among the most compelling reasons to select a president. Times are going to get better over the next four years just because of the economic cycle. To what degree they are going to get better is debatable, but it isn't going to matter who is in office. I think the citizens of the nation really want to ask themselves whether they want a 6-3 or 7-2 majority on the court that will make decisions similar to Citizens United.

Roe V Wade is one thing and a polarizing one. But having two more justices who will support Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas is another thing entirely.

Tammy, Michael was projecting what could happen with the next president, not how it is today, but I disagree with you slightly. It should be 5 liberal and 4 conservative. That would more closely mirror society as a whole since there are more liberals than there are conservatives. That is why the tpgop wants to suppress the vote. They need to make sure all the liberals who want to vote can't, but then that is backfiring too. Even voter fraud arrests for throwing out voters registration are beginning as we speak.

"Here is what I will say -- if four Americans get killed, it is not optimal. And we are going to fix it."

"And what happens during the course of a presidency, you know, the government is a big operation -- at any given time, something screws up and you make sure you find out what's broken and you fix it."

"we weren't confused about the fact that four Americans had been killed. I wasn't confused about the fact that we needed to ramp up diplomatic security around the world right after it happened."

"I wasn't confused about the fact that we were going to hunt down whoever did it and bring them to justice. So, as I said during the debate, nobody is more interested in figuring this out than I am."

All are Barack Obama words..... brave Americans DIED & Mr Obama thinks they were "not optimal"

Stewart posed the question in that fashion and he answered in the same fashion.

Poor choice of words but that is all it is.

You're wasting your words on the GOP/TP trolls who are here to spew their talking points. If they could read, they'd find that they're repeating the same stuff over and over. They ask the same questions over and over and NEVER read the clear (and carefully written) responses from the many NewsViner's that are interested in educating the masses. THEY can't handle the truth!

Sad to know there are so many blind followers of a candidate that doesn't give a rats ass about them. Romney is void of original thought. He's the speaker, but the words and thoughts are coming from someone else that thinks even LESS of their base.

Well big dog's, Obama is not a candidate with a "common sense plan" that works, he hasn't for the last 4 years and if becomes President again(hope like hell he don't) then you can expect much much worse for the next 4 years and you can expect Congress to actually impeach him. Give Romney a chance at least it will be something different and he knows how to manage and make money, Obama only knows how to let others pay "his way." Not a good resume for our leader.........he's never had a real job, probably not even American born, but no one would care if could could at least govern sensibly, if you'd like to "stand united" then lets do it over policies that work mathmatically and producing rather than drain and create more unneeded taxation...........

America seems to be suffering under Obamanomic's.....no jobs and massive looming taxes from Obamacare.

He's not cute, just like Joe Bidden is NOT cute-----he's a Ken doll.....an empty head of air with hair plugs.

The air is usually hot by the way and not easy to understand unless your some other Ken or Barbie.

He will say anything, and there are big gaps in what he has told us he would do. His policies are so unpopular that he has to use made up verbage to make them sound reasonable.

Romney came across like a total dbag at the catholic dinner the other night. It's supposed to be lighthearted, they poke a little fun at each other and at themselves. Romney acted like it was a bloodsport. It was kind of painful to watch, not just for that weird lip-smacking thing he does, but for the fact that he looks around with that tight, twitchy little smile as he expects his applause and laughter for going overboard with his attacks.

Obama has been there before and he acted like it. He knows the tone of the event, but Romney ignored that memo. Romney may be filthy rich, but obviously all his money can't buy him class.

I understand that you are buying the liberal propaganda, but tell me, if you can, why you think it is acceptable to steal from those who work to give to those who will NOT work.

Because that is exactly what taxation is - stealing! While everyone can agree that some taxation is acceptible to keep things going, it is not fair to those who work and earn their own money to continually have to fork out more and more to support those who will not work. Everyone should have 'skin' in the game, even if only a dollar or two in a year. At the present time, about 47% do not have any skin in the game at all as far as federal income taxes go. Why shouldn't they have to pay at least a dollar or two?

"oscar" shows disrespect for the President of the United States because "oscar" is an anti-American racist and bigot. The better the President and our Country does, the meaner "oscar" gets. The fact that he is squealing "OMG" like a little valley girl is a very good sign for our country.

Keep on posting your klan tripe, "oscar" - it is good for all of us to see the caliber of human the supports Miss Mittsy and his nasty concubine.

Padikit - you may be 68 yrs old with 40 yrs in the Accounting industry, but I'm questioning your outlook. I, too, have experience in taxes and Accounting, 20 yrs worth, and Romneys plan gives a tax break to those making less than $200,000 to $250,000 in annual income, lowering tax rates for all, but cutting loopholes (tax deductions) for those who make more than that, making it revenue neutral. In fact, he wants to cut the tax rate to 0% on interest and dividends for those under that income level.

For those of you who keep touting he will cut the Home Mortgage Interest deduction, the child tax credit or the education credits....you know the saying about "assumptions". He has never said he would do that.

On the tax subject, Pigotry, how stupid can you sound. Romney gets NO tax breaks for his sons. They are adults...the child tax credit phases out at age 17.

Old timer - take what chance with Romney? We already know what Obama has done. 46 Million now on food stamps, compared to I think 23 million when he took office, executive order power he has used instead of going through Congress, not being able to work across the isle, no improvement on our National debt, and despite how his campaign touts it, he has not eliminated Al Queda despite killing Bin Laden. Our foreign outlook is dismal.

I agree with Tammy, we all need some skin in the game. Get rid of refundable tax credits, like the Earned Income tax credit, so that you don't receive a tax refund when you didn't pay anything into the tax pool in the first place! It's kind of like having welfare without having to justify the need.

Tammy, taxes have not been as low as they now are for some 100 years. Taxes have to be raised on those who can afford it to pay for the ongoing war and the even longer ongoing circumstances of the wars. People want to work. How about asking the romney types to bring back their hidden money and invest in the US so all those you are complaining about CAN work. I get so sick and tired hearing all you republican sheep thinking you are the only ones working. I am sure there are many republicans getting some kind of support from the government. Even though you think the tax rates are high, the effective tax burden is amongst the lowest in the developed world.

                                                      Shocked/Disgusted,

As much as I dislike Ann Romney's demeanor and her entirely entitled attitude while stumping for her husband, let's stay above the fray. OK, let's at least try. As a surrogate for her husband, we can call her out for her statements, which are as ridiculous as her husband's. She's given us plenty of material to work with.

Your comment was certainly no worse than the "Moochelle" comments or anything else that refers to her posterior, but the racists and people who hate the Obamas for whatever reason can wallow in all the bile they want. They need it. Let's let them have it.

Heathcare taxes, Income taxes, real estate taxes, personal property taxes, sales taxes, gasoline taxes, (city, county, State, Federal taxes, school district taxes need I go on. Anybody with 1/2 a brain knows that we can never satisfy the insatible need government has to want our hard earned money. If taxes are raised on the rich, 1st you'll hear a stampede out of this country, 2nd the middleclass will have to pickup the tab for the 23 million unemployed, 46 million on food stamps, and the millions of people who will be eligible for medicaid. Are you ready for that scenario?

                                                          #9.15 - Sat Oct 20, 2012 12:49 AM EDT

so what you are saying is you would have all uninsured people to get primary health-care at the emergency room, pot holed roads and city streets, no police protection, no fire protection, no public schools, no tax abatements for local business to locate in a community or expand in that community, no street lights or traffic lights or even road/street signs. You would have people starving in the streets because all their jobs were moved to China. Don't get me wrong, I think we have a lot of work to do to reign in spending. It can't be done so easily during the time of economic downturns, just like all you say you can't tax the rich more during the times of economic downturns when the need for public services is greater. So when there was projected surpluses we cut taxes instead of paying down debt. We enter into two wars. I agreed with one of them but that is another story. Never in history has taxes been cut during the time of war.

About unemployment and food stamps. Big businesses getting tax credits to help with the cost of moving industry along with the jobs directly involved off shore and the supporting jobs of those workers evaporating all the while making good profits here. Then they open up offices in a free trade nation to funnel paperwork to avoid import taxes back into the US. You would have the American worker to be paid 99 cents an hour with few if any benefits or safety protections to keep them here?

I still stand by my comment that taxes are at the lowest rates in many years. To ask for those making so much more today than they did 12 years ago to go back to that tax rate isn't asking for much. All the while cutting some of these safety-net social programs and wiser spending on defense to close the spending gap to "get skin" from those already suffering because of the outsourcing.

Jobs Jobs Jobs the TPGOP ran on in 2010, where are they? Repeal and Replace the ACA (Obamacares act), what is the replace plan on that?

As far as the stampede out of the country, it has already happened. That is why there isn't sufficient revenues to pay for food stamps, unemployment, medicare and infrastructure maintenance.

Obama couldnt even pass a DHS background check but he can be elected in a popularity contest and become Commander in Chief. Wow, look at unemployment, fast and furious, gas prices, health care costs, etc. The list goes on. Maybe we need someone who can get results rather than spin a good yarn. Cut the deficit in 1/2 and then spend an additional 6 trillion. Did I miss the savings somewhere? The guy is a liar. Its a proven fact. he calls Romney that yet his lies are plastered all over the news every day and you idiots on this blog still defend him. You need to use your free Obama Care and get a catscan to see if you actually have a human brain or are just a parrot. Everyone vote. We have to end this grand experiment and get back to reality. Although September is SLIGHTLY down from August - both are a market improvement over the last year - as the past 3 months have been.

Then, conclude with a sentence that the criticism was just to draw attention away from Mr. Obama's record.

Oscar, the problem is that this sophomoric technique has been overused so long that people are on to it. We've see this lame tactic again and again, ad nauseum. One seldom sees the lefties use this lame tactic. It is just too stupid.

It really is serious when the President of the United States of America gets in front of the nation and spews juvenile nasty remarks about another candidate. Let's hear him continue to try to explain away his stance that the embassy attacks were due to the video!!! Maybe he can try and explain why 20+ milion more people are on food stamps. Maybe he can explain to people already on unemployment what they will do when their benefits run out and the illegals he wants to give amnesty to have all the available jobs??? Do he and Michelle have room in that 40,000,000.00 dollar Hawaiian home they are buying for all of those that are getting their homes foreclosed on right about the time thier unemployment benefits run out??? Somehow I don't think they really give a crap!! We already know what they think about honoring the American flag, don't think have any more respect for the average Amrican people or the average American jobs that he's said are never coming back!!!!

No huge cache was found, but with the yellow cake, and all the small amounts of chemical and biological agents found in various places across Iraq-there were actually WMD's -you also may want to talk to some of the guys who were actually there, and let them tell you what they found-so you can stop with the lies any time now.

Remember that Nigerian yellowcake that Curveball talked about and that our Ambassador debunked? It would have taken every truck in Niger multiple trips to transport it to the port so it could be loaded on a big ship. It is that impure.

Romney has made worse jokes as he flops when he tries as he flops around on everything he said from the primaries until about a month ago when he was loosing in all the polls. And no one, no one ever said on the President side that they would like to "hit" Romney as Taggert said he wanted to do. OMG Repucs have done and said much worse. And, Romney from his own mouth and then from his campaign everytime they came out and said "no he won't do that, no Romney does not believe that"! They even proved that Romney says whatever it will take. Whatever and then wait if he gets it...then you will be crying real tears as will this country.

So he enlists the help of Big Bird who told him to F off. Then he gets crushed in the first debate, so he re-debated Romney the next day, without Romney. They loaded a bunch of cute one-liners in his teleprompter, and his hand picked liberal crowd pretended to laugh. Now his new word, "Romnesia". That's something he might want to have in a few weeks when he has no choice except to take the girls offer and join the cast to "The View".

He promised to reduce everyone's taxes by 20% (!) but eliminate loopholes and exemptions that effectively makes the rich pay the same amount.

Which does make one wonder why reduce their rate if they're paying the same amount? And what specific exemptions could he eliminate, since he already crossed out the major ones. The math doesn't seem to add up.

I mean, everyone makes 57 million a year in capital gains, right? So whatever interest you earn may or may not be completely tax-free but everyone profiting off venture capital investments will pay NO taxes. Got it? See, he's giving everyone a tax break, right?

If you believe that I've got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you. You cannot trust someone who runs on a record of destroying US jobs and sending them overseas. Cannot trust someone who refuses to release his tax returns because he has done something illegal. Can't trust someone who lied in front of 65 million people the other night when he said the President did NOT say Terror in his Rose Garden appearance. Cannot trust someone who puts his money in FOREIGN banks, not American, yet actually runs on a mantra of Believe in America!

It's YOU and your fellow-Repulsives that have done all the name calling--spewing hatred wherever you go and blocking ANYTHING Obama has tried to do simply because you can then turn around and say, "Obama hasn't done anything since he's been in office."

You comment is so stupid and totally ignorant--you're pathetic.

He can't run on his record of the last 3+ years and, he can't give an account of what the future will hold if (Heaven forbid) he's re-elected (I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt... he actually says that we'll get more of the same!). He's very vague when it comes to addressing hard facts / plans to fix the mess he's made out of the economy (most likely because he's a GREAT community organizer but a LOUSY Administator). It's hard to believe anyone would vote for this guy... He's got delusional vocolists and actors singing his praises (that is, until their taxes increase - maybe that will be their dose of reality) and a clown for a vice-president who can't keep from putting his foot in his mouth every other week. By now, we should be referring to the White House as 'The Big Top'.

Obama's vague? Give the specifics of Romney's plan that will lower the deficit and create jobs....this should be fun.

By the way, many of his supporters are wealthy and understand that their taxes will go up with Obama's re-election. The difference between Democratic and Republican rich folks is that Democratic rich folks understand that they have enjoyed a period of Bush era tax cuts that have heavily benefited them over the common person and that with the nation owing so much money on the debt that they should be doing a little extra to help. Considering that Romney's plan will either blow up the deficit or result in huge cuts to programs that disproportionately benefit lower income groups it's the moral thing for the wealthy to do a little more considering they have a LOT MORE. But....you probably find that acceptable.
