Well, we have a sitting President and VP who spent all day yesterday guffawing and laughing about "binders" and "Big Bird" and other such silly stuff. Aren't they funny? Delighting us with such knee-slapping comedy! That is really what we want in the White House, guys. Too bad you threw your chances away at a re-election. I have to make a correction to my earlier comments. Mitch McConnell was not present at the Republican meeting that took place on President Obama's Inauguration day. One month after Mitt Romney’s infamous 47% comments sent his campaign into shock, another revealing recording of the former Massachusetts governor has surfaced.
On a conference call with small business owners back in June, hosted by the National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB), Romney encourages employers to “make it very clear” to their workers that their jobs are dependent on the outcome of the election.
“I hope you make it very clear to your employees what you believe is in the best interest of your enterprise and therefore their job and their future in the upcoming elections. And whether you agree with me or you agree with President Obama, or or whatever your political view, I hope, I hope you pass those along to your employees. Nothing illegal about you talking to your employees about what you believe is best for the business, because I think that will figure in to their election decision, their voting decision.”
