Obama: Romney 'running around talking like he's Mr. Coal'

Updated 10:07 a.m. - ATHENS, OH – Energized by a huge crowd and, likely, his improved debate performance against Mitt Romney Tuesday night, President Barack Obama went on an extended riff during remarks here about what he said was Romney’s inauthentic support for coal energy.

Noting that Romney praised coal during the debate at Hofstra University, Obama pointed out that as governor of Massachusetts, Romney appeared in front of a coal factory to criticize its high level of toxic pollution, saying, “that plant kills people.”

Obama said voters should be skeptical of Romney’s embrace of coal, mocking him as “running around talking like he’s Mr. Coal,” as a crowd of 14,000 at Ohio University cheered him on.

“Does anybody ever actually look at that guy and think, man, he’s really into coal?” Obama asked the audience as he chuckled.

Obama then brought up an ad, released earlier this week, that showed Romney speaking to workers at an Ohio coal mine, saying the workers in the ad were forced to attend the August Romney event – which the mining company and some of the workers have refuted.

“Did you see when he was doing that ad, he was in front of all those guys – all these miners with hard hats. Find out later they had to come. Boss made them come. Come on, gotta be on the level if you want to be the president of the United States!” he exclaimed.

The Romney campaign responded to the president's remarks in Athens by releasing a statement from spokeswoman Amanda Henneberg. "“As we approach Election Day, President Obama’s rhetoric and personal attacks will not mask a failed record that has left middle-class families hurting.  Under this President, permits for drilling on federal lands have declined, over one hundred coal-fired plants are schedule to close by the end of the year, and gas prices have more than doubled.  Mitt Romney has an all of the above energy strategy, which will create millions of jobs and put our nation on a course toward North American energy independence by 2020.”

Obama returned to the White House on Wednesday night. He heads to New Hampshire Thursday before taping "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" in New York City.

Is that all you got? Koch is getting real old from you liberals... How about mentioning how good Obama is... I guess you can't because even he couldn't do that last night... all he did was attempt to attack Romney...

Obama... the man who needs help on his promises... like the one where he said if I can't get the economy turned around this will be a one term proposition... well, we conservatives are very willing to help that promise come true.

And this goofy comment is coming from Mr. 1%. He had those coal miners up their behind him on the stage. They missed a day's pay to stand up their behind a man they didn't support, and were forced by their bad bosses to do so. Romney himself looked like the bad boss last night. The kind of boss that has you looking for a new job as fast as you can. He proved himself unpresidential last night.

When Romney said that he had just been to visit a coal mine, I'm sure he was refering to the mine he visited where workers were forced to come to the rally on their day off for no pay or be fired.

As the granddaughter of two coal miners, I will tell you they , if they were still alive, and me will be voting for Romney. Obama is trying to kill off the coal industry with his regulations. Do I want clean coal? Or renewables? YES! But it cannot be all or nothing. No magic wand.

Liberals all dis Romney but FAIL to realize that it's Obama that is shutting down coal mines... he refuses to issue any more government permits for expansion. The ideology of twist and spin still has no real understanding of the issues... they decide to make things up, think they are creative, but fall flat on the truth.

Look to your messiah... he's the one screwing up coal. I know your eyes are blinded... so it's time to start using eyedrops.

You weren't paying attention. Mittens got the spanking of his life. He looked lost, and rambled incoherently after the first 15 minutes. Obama handled all of those impertinent demands well. Mitt has always been a spoiled CEO bully. He showed his colors last night, and he embarrassed himself.

OBAMA IS A LIAR!!:

"The coal miners of Ohio, unlike some workers who are intimidated by their unions, are unafraid of standing tall and confronting the Obama Administration head-on. Last Wednesday, more than 500 coal miners who work at the Beallsville, Ohio Century Mine, operated by Murray Energy, held a rally to condemn the Obama Administration’s despicable ad claiming the miners were coerced into attending a rally for Mitt Romney on August 14. They also charged Obama with waging a war on coal."

Mitt Romney's been playing by a different set of rules from the rest of us.

His tax rate is half that of your average American, and he's stashed the difference in offshore accounts from Switzerland to the Cayman Islands.

As CEO and sole owner of Bain Capital from '99-'02, he received $100,000 a year in salary for a job now he claims he didn't have at a company whose decisions he refuses to accept responsibility for.

The Romney Rules are a double standard, plain and simple. They let Romney argue that the basic guarantees of healthcare and a secure retirement are "free stuff you don't pay for," then turn around and tell reporters that talking about his six figure non-job is off limits and no, you don't need to see his taxes.

Oh and 47% of all you suckers don't matter!

Here's the bottom line: Mitt Romney thinks the country should answer to him. We think our elected leaders should answer to you.

This man is the lowest sum of the earth A thief and possibly TAX EVADING FELON

As they used to say on SNL. BrianB, you ignorant $lut. Coal plants are closing due to cheap natural gas, the Coal companies themselves have said as much. It is the dirtiest fuel there is, no doubt about that, and if coal is to remain viable it will need to become "clean coal". At today's rates for differing fuel coal may have to just sit in the ground until it's economically feasible to put scrubbers on the stacks and sequester the carbon emissions. Right now it can't compete even being dirty. My Grandpa spent his life shoveling coal into locomotive engines until it killed him. Wonder if Romney could work that hard for a day? Oh wait, he might dirty up his Mom jeans.

OBAMA IS A LIAR!! COAL WORKERS CALL HIM OUT ON HIS LIES:

Mitch Miracle, spokesman for the miners, read aloud the two letters they had written and signed.

The letter to Obama read like this:

Dear President Obama:.

We are writing as the employees of American Energy Century Mine in Beallsville, Ohio. You have approved in a running television campaign ads about the Mitt Romney event that was held at our Century coal mine. These ads state that we were forced to attend this rally and that is blatantly false. There are numerous false statements and absolute lies concerning our participation in this event, we, the employees, mostly started by a local shock jock host. Since your approval is attached to these ads, you may not wish to support these mistruths. Why would you lie about the 500 working miners who have signed this letter? We, the employees of Century Mine, would request you immediately stop these false ads. Thank you. Century Mine employees.

The letter to Bloomquist read:

Mr. Bloomquist;

We are writing to you regarding the Governor Mitt Romney event held on August 14, 2012 at the American Energy Corporation Century mine, and additionally what it meant to the hourly employees to host a presidential candidate that we believe in and endorse. We voluntarily and enthusiastically attended the event and take great offense to the disingenuous reporting of the event by you and other media outlets.

There are 5 points in particular that I want to make here: the following are a list of facts about the hourly employees’ involvement at that event and the corrections to the media’s inaccurate reporting:

One: we want to make it very clear that no employee was forced to attend the event. Secondly, there were no attendance records taken for hourly employees. Number three, there are absolutely no penalties or reprimands to those who did not attend- we voluntarily attended. Number 4, due to security reasons, the only list involved whatsoever was for transportation purposes, and this was thoroughly explained to us; this had to be done by the advance team of Mr. Romney. They had to have records of who was coming on the property. Number 5; it was an honor to host this important event for Governor Romney.

Your so-called sources have made accusations against our company yet remain unnamed. We have proudly signed our names to this statement. These so-called sources are likely discharged or disgruntled former employees. This was a great day, for the employees of American energy, and your negative one-sided reporting has created a disservice to our company and to us, the employees.

You see, Mr. Bloomquist, there is a war on coal and we do want to protect our jobs. Mining jobs are being eliminated and coal fired power plants are being shut down from the President Obama’s actions and policies. We, the undersigned, support Governor Romney and reject President Obama and those like Sherrod Brown who are job killers. In summary, we, the employees of AEC, these great men behind me, our spouses, our children, our parents and our grandparents thoroughly enjoyed this event, a once in a lifetime event, right here, in the Ohio Valley. This is our statement, our choices, and our signatures. Mr. Bloomquist, your shock-jock tactics offend the undersigned, and I have attached our employees and our signatures.

Miracle eloquently concluded:

In closing, standing behind me are proud Americans, proud coal miners proud citizens of this great country, proud members of the Ohio Valley, where we live in and I am damn proud of them. Proud Ohio Valley workers. As you all know the economy has been tough for all of us; this is a great profession, these are great workers and we are proud to be a part of it, part of Murray Energy and we support our owner 100 percent. We ask that the media, let’s embrace coal, embrace what it does for all of us. Let’s be together in what we do.

You don’t have to be a coal miner to stand up and cheer for these men fighting for the truth. You just have to be a real American.

OBAMA IS A LIAR!!

...Obama Administration’s despicable ad claiming the miners were coerced into attending a rally for Mitt Romney...

Direct from upi.com here:

Miners told David Blomquist, a talk radio host for WWVA in the area, the mine was shut down during the campaign event and their pay was docked but they were also required to attend the event.

A Murray executive, Robert Moore, told Blomquist, "Attendance was mandatory but no one was forced to attend the event."

Obama attacked his opponent more, failed to give direct answers more, and pandered to the crowd more.... just like any con-man does when trying to endear himself to those he hopes to swindle.

Romney won on everything related to leadership.

"Mitt Romney was seen as better able to handle the economy, taxes, and the budget deficit among the debate audience, but it seems that issues were trumped, or at least blunted, by intangibles, including the expectations game," says CNN Polling Director Keating Holland.

By a 49%-35% margin, debate watchers thought that Obama spent more time attacking his opponent. The president was expected to be more forceful in attacking Romney following his lackluster performance in the first presidential debate in Denver two weeks ago.

Other questions showed little daylight between the two candidates among debate watchers on some key characteristics. Romney had a 49%-46% edge on which candidate seemed to be the stronger leader and 45%-43% margin on who answered questions more directly, while Obama had a 44%-40% advantage on which man seemed to care more about the audience members who asked questions."

I have said it before and I'll say it again. Rombot has no specifics because the Republican agenda would scare the crap out of you.

For readers who don't know what I'm talking about: Ever since Ronald Reagan, the GOP has been run by people who want a much smaller government. In the famous words of the activist Grover Norquist, conservatives want to get the government "down to the size where we can drown it in the bathtub."

But there has always been a political problem with this agenda. Voters may say that they oppose big government, but the programs that actually dominate federal spending -- Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security -- are very popular.

Republicans are waging a war on entitlements so if you have no need Social Security or Medicare keep voting Republican.

Hope:

"Mr. Obama....does your pension contain Chinese investments?"

To your point I concede. However most people do not have control over their pensions or 401k's. Romney might since he is a capital investor. That is his neck of the woods. Obama is a community organizer/politician; he does not have the background to manage that kind of stuff every day and probably has an investment team working for him like most do.

"Mr. Obama....why was additional security not given in Libya when asked for?"

Obama's main reason, per Biden, was that the White House, specifically the White House, was not aware of such a request (as far as we know). Secondly there is the fact that Republican's in the House cut Embassy security spending for the past two years. Both parties have skin in this game.

"Mr. Obama....why is oil production on federal land diminished?"

This one is a bald faced distortion. Oil production is down for the past two years only. The reason for that was because of the BP spill. Only an ass would not have stopped permits until clear regulations had been put in place to prevent another BP style spill from occurring. However oil production, over all, for Obama's first term was greater than any point in the past two decades.

"Mr. Obama....why did the administration not label this as a terrorist attack, but instead state for 2 weeks that it was because of a movie?"

Obama did label it as a terrorist attack. Here you have a point to stand on and one you cannot. First of all he did reference this attack on the 12th; indisputable fact. By saying "acts of terror" he alluded to any past terrorist acts, any acts currently going on, and any future acts. That is what a broad-scope definition means. This means that he was referring to Benghazi.

However you do have a point that, that narrative was not carried through for another two weeks. If you watched CNN today you would have heard that Obama talked with the guy that asked the Libya question last night. Obama told him that he had to wait for confirmation of what really happened as any actions he took could have had a very huge impact on the region. He did not want to act on misinformation.

Any more points for me to validate or shoot down?

Mitt Romney promises to "save" all those coal jobs. The man owes the Koch brothers immense amounts of "favors"-translated in millions of dollars poured into his nasty campaign-

He has no choice at this point if he gets elected, but to ransack the environment to pay them back. You saw him on the debates. He is a bully that will not stop at anything.

NOBODY HAS SAID ANYTHING ABOUT HIS REMARKS AT THE END OF HIS ASININE CONVENTION. He said that he was not up to save the planet or lower the level of water in the oceans. HE MADE THAT VERY CLEAR TO US.

The question is; DID ANYBODY NOTICED? Becuase nobody in the media is talking about that!

Obama has nothing to run on so everything about this campaign is a negative attack. All we know about Obama's second term is that he wants to raise taxes, but claims it will only be on the top earners. So why hasn't Obama laid out his plans for the other 1459 days he would be in office? Obama is running the dirtiest campaign of any incumbent president ever. His administration is covering up cuts to Medicare Advantage to fool seniors, and he is lying about the costs and the coverages that will result from ObamaCare. Really? Mitt Romney is retired. He has NO Pension (single term governors in Massachusetts do not qualify for a pension), just a 401K / Trust investments, and Social Security.

He is playing by the same rules as other retirees do everyday. The difference is that he has more investments that pay in the form of capital gains which are taxed at a maximum rate of 15%.

He is living off of his 401K

Every American could live this well if their social security was permitted to be used like a 401K instead of an I.O.U. from the federal government that is paying 1/2% and really doesn't exist - unless they print more money.

Today, coal miners are limited in their exposure to the dust. Respirators are much better, and what has been found is that if they are limited and get out before they damage their lungs to much, the lungs recover. This is similar to quitting smoking cigarettes before the damage becomes too great.

  • BS!!! Natural gas is abundant and easier to get at than coal due to fracking and other technologies. Thus it is less costly. It's driven by the market -- not the White House. Stop listening to right wing talk radio and watching Fox. Try instead to do a little reading of business and energy publications. You may learn something.

Get 'em DB! Although I'm afraid it will fall on deaf ears. This president has been the most unfriendly president to the oil and gas industry EVER! And to have the audacity to stand there, and blatently lie to the American public is truly sad. Even sadder is the fact that he did in fact lie about labeling Bengazi a terrorist attack when he was in the Rose Garden. He was in fact, taking about PAST terror attacks, and not the one that happened the previous day. This administration walked this excuse around for two damn weeks before they conceeded that the nacent Libyian govenment was correct in it's assessment they gave three days after the attack. What these idiotic liberals fail to see is that our entire economy is a petro based economy! Without drilling, refining, and distributing petroleum products, the global economy would collapse very quickly. And people wonder, "why are food prices raising too?", it's simple. The price of fuel dictates what you are going to pay at the store! If it costs more to get the product to the market, that higher price is passed on to the consumer. Trucks and cars don't run on solar energy, nor do they run on wind energy!!! The computer you silly, ignorant liberals use is produced using petroleum products. The power to run the computer (as well as your respective homes), is produced using petroleum products, and this current administration absolutely FAILS to see this. Enough already Barack! Go back to Chicago where some idiot is planning on taxing bullets and guns to curb the crime rate!!! Seriously??? As if these lawless cowards actually go to a legal gun shop to get their supplies! Idiocy, pure and simple, just like the current idiots in the wh.

All of you saying that Obama is closing coal plants due to regulations, etc. Need to turn Fox and Rush off, because that is NOT why they are closing. They are closing because more STATES are building natural gas power plants, why? Because they are cheaper and natural gas is cheaper to use than coal.

Also those who say Obama is unfriendly to oil companies, first you think it's ok for oil companies to continue to post record profits and still receive millions in subsidies? Next what he said about more oil being drilled for in the US now than was being drilled during the Bush era is true.

Speculators are the reason gas is so high, NOT the president, Presidents don't set gas prices.

NPCDan your post is so full of it I wouldn't know where to begin, except for saying that Presidents don't set gas prices, speculators are the reason the prices are high, and in case you weren't alive this past summer you may have missed that there was a drought and millions in crops were lost. Unless the President controls the weather then you can't blame him for high food cost. I think it's you who fails to see past what Fox and Rush and all your conservative "news" tells you.

DB - Per your statement of if everyone had control of their social security accounts to run like 401K - then there would be millions of extremely poor elderly people in this country, weighing down our social programs even more than they are today.

Lets see if Bush had been successful and had converted all everyone to personal accounts. - Then the stock market crashed from 14k to 7K - so half there savings would have gone bye bye - they would then have to use what was left to live off of, granted the stock market has recovered thanks to Obama - but those same individuals would not have the same amount of capital left in their accounts and would not benefit as much or at all from the upswing. "So - overall not a very good idea" But hey for Chop Shop Mitt - who has made Millions of dollars off of bankrupting company's and chopping them up and selling them to China, probably wouldn't have hurt him as much.

Americans are getting screwed and do not give me that BS that in these countries the governments control their oil, so what, if thatisi what it take to stop Americans from be screwed.

Europeans and Americans are definitely paying some of the most painful gas prices globally. More specifically, Norway pays the highest prices for gas world-wide(double what Americans pay). All the while, citizens of oil-rich nations fill their tanks with pocket change. A british insurance firm -Staveley Head- recently released a list of the worlds gas prices. Below are the seven cheapest countries in the world to purchase gasoline.

1. Caracas, Venezuela

$0.18 per gallon (average) — These gas prices have been in place before Chavez took office, and will remain. The last time the government tried to raise gas prices mass protests sprang up across the country, and several people died.

2. Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

$0.48 per gallon (average) — The kingdom has 20% of the world's oil reserves, they are the heavy hitter on the global stage.

3. Tripoli, Libya

$0.54 per gallon— Libya is ranked 9th in the oil-producing world league.

4. Ashgabat, Turkmenistan

$0.72 per gallon (average) — Each person with a vehicle gets 120 litres free per month, so who cares about the price anyway?

5. Manama, Bahrain

$0.78 per gallon (average) — Which is likely to rise due to low oil reserves, and a new plan to diversify the economy.

6. Kuwait City, Kuwait

Kuwaitis by nature are very wealthy, but who doesn't like a discount?

7. Doha, Qatar

The citizens of Qatar have the second highest income/world and the 7th lowest gas prices in the world.

There is no such thing as clean coal. Ask the miners and the families that have lost loved ones to coal. Coal plants aren't shutting down because of Obama, they are shutting down or converting to natural gas because it's much more efficient and cheaper. Coal has to be transported to the site it is used at, gas can be simply piped in.

Someone is lying about the Romney coal ad... The mine was indeed shut down the day of the August rally when the Ad was filmed. Employees were told to attend. http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0912/81421.html

Every country in your list subsidizes gasoline prices for their citizens. They also don't have free market capitalism like the US does. Are you implying you want our tax payers to subsidize the cost of gasoline? Isn't that a socialist policy?

From what I have seen the democrats want to get rid of fracking which provides affordable natural gas. The president speaks about "all of the above" energy policy, but his party does everything in its power to do none of the above. Why not ask those in the coal belt if Mr. Obama is looking out for their best interests....

Eric in Oregon-

Yeah...and Oregon uses how much coal....40% the same as hydro! and here in Oregon what would happen if you eliminated coal...? Increase energy cost by 150%...but I don't want to bother your tiny little mind with numbers...

These fools don't' know what they're talking about. The last round of clean air legislation was passed during the Bush 41 term -- more than 20 years ago. Er, excuse me? WHO'S war on coal?

President Obama is accused of starting a “War on Coal”, but gas industry giants benefit most from the Clean Air Act. Industry giants; Exxon, Koch Brothers, Oxbow, Chesapeake and Chevron have donated $2,250,000.00+ to Romney’s campaign. They want coal restrictions; it benefits them. Romney’s in their pocket. Follow the money.

CEO Aubrey McClendon of Chesapeake Gas donated $25+ million to the Sierra Club to fund lawsuits against the US government forcing implementation of the Clean Air Act – they won the lawsuit in 2007 – this is the act Obama is accused of ‘passing’. The coal-fired plants say, to meet emission standards, they may need to convert to natural gas. Who benefits?

The regulation’s emission target is 1,000# of CO2 per megawatt-hour of generation. Coal-fired plants will need carbon capture technology to meet this, BUT it applies only to new, non-peaking natural gas & coal-fired plants built in the future, NOT existing plants, existing plants that undertake “new source” upgrades or peaking gas-fired generators.

That’s key to understanding this regulation. There are no new coal-fired plants covered by this legislation; no prospect of any unless gas hits $9.60 per million BTU on a sustained basis. Nearly all future gas-fired plants will meet these standards without additional costs.

Coal industry employment in Pennsylvania and Ohio has increased under Obama. The coal-burning plants being closed would have been shut down without the regulations due to age.

Romney favors coal regulation. As governor he instituted emissions caps for coal-fired plants stating it, "will provide real and immediate progress in the battle to improve our environment. [Massachusetts is] the first and only state to set CO2 emissions limits on coal-fired power plants." Romney, outside a coal-fired plant, stated, "I will not create jobs or hold jobs that kill people, and that plant, that plant kills people.".

Romney supports billion dollar subsidies for oil and gas. The gas industry profits from limiting coal production. Romney has and will continue to profit from their ‘donations’. The gas industry, and their champion; Romney, have declared war on coal. Obama is simply obeying the law and keeping the coal industry responsible.

Ignore the bobbleheads on Faux and follow the money - you'll see who it is that has declared war on coal ... and it's NOT this administration.

@Jerry:

The reason our gas prices are so high is because, unlike the countries you mention, we allow speculators to "sell" the oil 20 to 30 times, adding cost each time, before it gets to the American people. (It's called Capitalism ... ain't it sweet?)

But, okay, I'm with you. Let's put an end to that. No more Wall Street speculation on oil, natural gas, fuel oil, food / crops ... prices will come down in a hurry!

Ok ... let's hear it from the "WE CAN'T STOP THAT! WE'RE NOT SOCIALISTS!" crowd.

Witchking,

Well, I think you hit a reset button for the fall
campaign. Everything changes. It's almost like an Etch A Sketch."

Mittins

Does this USED CAR SALESMAN every get tired of lying ?

This is the problem with America nobody seems to think for themselves anymore. The fact is Obama has lied to the American people time and time again. One of his most famous lie is I said I would end the war in Iraq and I did. Well that is not the case the withdrawal date had been set before Obama was even elected all Obama did was not extend the war. Now there is a big difference between ending the war and just not extending it. Also can any of you Lib please tell us show us what this man has done for the middle class in this country because the way I see it everything he does adds a tax of some kind to my bill but Obama said he was not going to raise ANY taxes on the middle class. I guess he forgot. Or how he did not say it was a terrorist attack in Benghazi but he said it was an act of terror there is a big difference the.

Can you Libs also explain something to me where does this 1 trillion dollar defense fund come from? It was a deficit to fund a war we should not have been in in the first place but how does it save a trillion dollars it doesn't the money was never there in the first place. As soon as next month comes the jobs numbers will be revised like every month and I am willing to bet both my arms that unemployment gets revised to at least 8.1%.

It is funny how all you Libs can knock Romney but he is the only one between the two of them that has ever run anything that actually made money. What I seem to find amazing is that nobody cares what Obama's plan is for the next four years; just like they didn't in 2008 and look at where we are four years later in the same place.

On energy Obama is clueless he is shutting down coal mining not letting us drill for oil. So what are us Americans supposed to use for energy until the green energy in industry can support even a 1/4 of the USA needs for energy? I guess we use nothing because that is what Obama is doing. It is ok to be for green energy hell I am for it but it is nowhere in the realm of possibilities as an actual source for all of the US or like I said even a 1/4 of the US. Libs don't talk about that.

Or what about when he said Bush was unpatriotic to spend 4.5 trillion in 8 years but he has spent 5.8 trillion in just 4 years? So what does that say about Obama?

I could maybe see you Lib point of view if Obama had an unemployment rate that was reasonable but he doesn't and he hasn't. Obama said he has created however many jobs he said he created but what he does not tell you is that in fact he has lose more jobs overall then helped to create. Plus the government does not create jobs business, supply and demand for goods creates jobs but maybe Obama would have known this had this not been his second job.

So please tell us what is Obama's plan for the next for years and why didn't his first plan work because if it would have worked we would owe about 5 trillion not 16 trillion.

I do like how Obama tries to make it an issue over Big Bird and I have noticed a lot of you Libs are going with that; all that does for me is shows me just why it is he should not be president if you are worried over a TV show instead of American people.

GET OUT obama NOW

D.Appel,

The coal-fired plants say, to meet emission standards, they may need to convert to natural gas. Who benefits?

Nobody natural gas is retrieved by the fracking process Obama is also against this. The coal emissions you speak of it is not on just plants that are new it is on every plant period. That would have been like telling new oil refiners that they had to control the NOX emissions but the old companies you don't have to bother. We know that is just not the case.

By the way I am not sure if you know this or not but Obama gave trillions of our tax dollars to green energy companies that where all his top contributors and then 99% of the companies went bankrupt

    Subject: Obamas Suicide Economy

    Hi Everyone
In the middle of this article, Root list last months economic numbers. Very important read!

Hello, I’m Wayne Allyn Root forPersonalLiberty.com. As John Lennon might say, “I want you to imagine with me for a moment.”

Imagine a U.S. President presiding over a country in major economic decline: sales tax revenues plunging; unemployment growing worse by the month; petroleum sales (the foundation of our economy) sinking like a rock; GDP anemic; the real estate crash worse than the 1929 Great Depression; 40 percent of the net assets of the average American gone; prices for food and gas skyrocketing; and suicides going up so fast, they now outnumber deaths from car accident.

    Imagine that. It’s unthinkable!

Now, imagine in the face of all that, the mainstream media claiming things are getting better, refusing to challenge the President when he repeats over and over again the lie that “we are in recovery” and viciously attacking the Presidential challenger for daring to criticize the incumbent President? You’d be insane to picture that set of circumstances, right?

Sadly, it’s happening right now. We’ve gone from the world’s greatest economic superpower to an Obama economy where Democratic leaders like Nancy Pelosi claim food stamps and unemployment benefits are economic activity. And in our final death throes under Obama we’ve become “The Suicide Economy.” That’s right. Americans are so happy and financially secure under Obama, they are committing suicide in record numbers. More people are now purposely killing themselves than die in car accidents — for the first time ever.

How bad is the economy? Here are the stats the mainstream media are covering up:

A month ago, California reported sales tax revenues plunged a shocking $539 million below expectations. That’s over a half billion dollars in one State, in one month. Does that sound like a recovery to you?

The jobless rate rose in 44 States in July, including nine out of 10 battleground States. In August, Nevada’s unemployment went back up past 12 percent again. Does that sound like a recovery to you?

The American Petroleum Institute reports that U.S. consumer demand for oil and other forms of petroleum in July was the lowest since 1995. Does that sound like a recovery?

The labor force participation rate for all workers is the lowest since 1981, but for men it’s the lowest in over half a century (since 1948). Obama’s campaign slogan is “Forward.” When it comes to jobs we are heading 55 years backward. Does that sound like a recovery?

“Help wanted” ads have collapsed in back-to-back months to the lowest levels since the Lehman Brothers financial disaster. Does that sound like a recovery?

Just days ago, we heard the terrible news thatdurable goods orders dropped a horrific 13.2 percent last month. That is a measure of factory activity. This was the worst drop since the throes of the deep 2009 recession. More signs of business off the rails under Obama.

The final sobering stat is that 37,000 Americans are now committing suicide annually under Obama — more than die in car accidents — for the first time ever. Does that sound like a recovery?

There are two conclusions to be drawn from all these sobering economic statistics, but especially the rise in suicides.

First, there is no recovery. We are in far deeper economic trouble than the media admit. I’m an entrepreneur, small-business owner and capitalist evangelist who happens to have a media megaphone. I can tell you from firsthand experience what is happening at ground zero of the economy. Business is what I do, what I live, every minute of every day. And I can report that it’s ugly (and getting uglier) on Main Street.

There are no jobs. There is no improvement in business. I predict that soon after the holidays (and the election), if the massive tax increases are allowed to take effect, the U.S. economy will suffer a dramatic collapse. The stats reported above are warning signs of a coming economic Armageddon. Is anyone listening?

But as bad as things are here, Europe is the real “canary in the coal mine.” Looking at the EU is like looking into a mirror to see America’s future under Obama. Just in the past few days, we saw in the headlines stories about what is unfolding in Europe: unrest in the streets, rioting, violence, one-third of the business in Athens out of business, middle-class people starving and scavenging through dumpsters in Hungary and Greece.

All of this pain and tragedy is caused by big government and big debt. By governments spending far more than they take in. Eventually, it catches up with you. Eventually, the investors of the world stop lending you money. And then, the crisis hits. All at once, your country goes from a normal existence to a Great Depression to a daily struggle for survival. Don’t look now, but it’s headed your way, folks.

Obama is leading us in the exact same direction as Europe. Obama’s plan is just Europe’s plan for the past half century. It’s just old, tired, worn-out, refried socialist failure.

The sales tax drop in California, the drop in petroleum product sales, the drop in factory activity, the drop in “help wanted” ads, the rise in depression and suicides: These are all signs of where we are headed. All the tragic economic statistics above prove that even Obama and the Fed cannot print enough fake money to paper over the truth — just as the European Central Bank and the IMF (International Monetary Fund) can’t print enough money to paper over the truth about Europe. The EU is broke, insolvent and about to experience an economic tragedy that history will talk about for centuries to come. And, of course, the EU is going to break up.

The second conclusion you can draw from the stats above is that the mainstream media are trying to protect Obama. They know that these bleak economic facts would doom Obama’s re-election. So they have imposed a total media blackout. You’ll never hear the truth about the state of our economy from the mainstream media.

Just consider if suicides were dramatically up under a Republican President like Reagan or Romney at the same time the economy was in free fall, what would the media say? They would not only make the connection, they’d be trumpeting this tragedy in bold headlines 24 hours a day. They would blame the suicides on the poor economy. They’d blame it on capitalism. They’d blame it all the spending cuts and lack of compassion of a Republican President.

So far, Obama gets a pass because of the biased, leftist media. But history won’t be so kind. There is only one way to describe what we are all living through.

Someday, history books will call this “Obama’s Suicide Economy.”

I’m Wayne Allyn Root for Personal Liberty. See you right back here next week. Same time, same place. God Bless.

I see all the defense of the left trying to take the blame away from this terrorist act (Obama might want to read this, since he seemed convinced it was all caused by some YouTube video), but the reality is, that this administration knew the dangers in the region, knew that AlQueda had a cell in the region and yet either didn't care or was too incompetent to act on that intelligence data and provide more coverage. And to senile Biden's comment during the debate about some flimsy excuse that Congress had cut the budget in that area, resources easily could have been moved from one diplomatic post to the one in Libya. Obama wants to talk about Big Bird and "binders", but I suspect the vast majority of people want to know how and when Barry will accept responsibility for this travesty. I'm sure the families of those that lost their lives should be entitled to that acceptance of responsibility and not Barry's spokeshole yapping about how it was all the fault of a YouTube video....

    Obama's intel failure = 4 dead Americans

Melo - You think continuing lying to the American public and throwing Hillary under the bus is an "intel failure"? it's called trying to remain popular and having no moral qualms about doing whatever it takes to keep HIS name out of the mud.

The deaths are a result of a refusal of MULTIPLE requests for additional security.

    P.S.

"4000 dead Americans and 100,000+ dead Iraqis"

Defending America from terrorists is hardly an "intel failure" .... isn't that why Obama has continued the wars? How many Libyans killed with American arms?

There's a difference between a war and an attack on our embassy. A war that was approved by Congress... including most democrats.

The attack on our embassy was covered up... blamed on a cartoon video by the administration and for 14 days they kept to that story. Why? Why did Obama cover it up? Guilty is guilty no matter what the infraction is. Tell the families of the 4 dead that it's OK to cover up a terrorist attack and give them no reason for why it happened. Your comparison isn't valid. We weren't at war in Benghazi.

    Jk,

And I'm sure President Regan felt the same way when 234 sailors got killed and it took more than two weeks for that to all come out. Plus there was no justice for that act. Or Bush with 911, we heard allot about Iraq being behind that before it was determined that was not true! Plus, he knew something was coming for nine months!

Now, you may not like it as oblivious by your parrot comments about our President, but your big mouth guy rushed to judgement without any facts or knowledge of what actually happened! I would take Senator Biden over either of your candidates that spout off allot but never provide actual facts. Especially lying Ryan!

I seem to remember Robme claim it was all because the Embassy had issued an apology about the film that this occurred. Nothing about terrorism. So who was flapping their big mouth without facts again? Talk about spoke-hole! Real large one there.

Yeah I know you guys want to put a battalion at every Embassy for protection right! NOT! Hell, you guys don't even want to take care of the ones coming home from serving the country now. Let alone mention them as part of your parties platform!

By the way, I heard President Obama take responsibility last night during the debates! Maybe you need to put down you beer and stop blindly following like a sheep in lockstep with what your "unanniotated" one says.

And don't pull that BS about families. Your guy didn't give any consideration about their feelings. Help, he couldn't even wait until they were notified about their lost ones before he was issuing press releases. Just like Robme stated in that same video about the 47%, that if anything came up in foreign policy that he could jump all over it, he would. Real caring guy, huh. You badmouth the President about doing his job, but at least he is not classless like your guy.

    Melo-D,

How about a few REAL NUMBERS:

    1. Bush & the UK turned the Afghanistan 'Nation Building' over to the UN & 52+other countries, Dec 2001...

Obama took over this operation, his 'Just War', and placed his 'Hand Picked' General in charge. Who he then FIRED, because the General stated that the War could not be won, due to Obama's POLITICS. Obama then placed another General in charge, who he later FIRED, also, for the same reason...

Obama has KILLED over 1,500+US Troops and spent trillions of additional USD, to kill ONE MAN. A person that BOTH Clinton & Bush refused to assassinate, due to legal & political concerns...

NOTHING has changed in Afghanistan, except more killing, and China obtaining a economic 'foot hold'...

    2. Obama's administration using the EPA, has not only closed coal mines but also closed power plants across the USA...

    3. Obama's administration has INCREASED by 800% the shipment of metallurgical coal to China. While the USA has only about 130+years reserves of this resource needed to make steel...

BTY - Just prior to the EPA announcing the new restrictions on coal. Warren Buffett (Obama supporter) bought controlling interest in the railroads that ship this coal to the West Coast...

    4. Obama's Administration has fought the use of horizontal drilling & fracking, which is the reason for the USA now having the largest NG reserves in the world...

IMO - To fight power plants from polluting the environment, should be EVERY-ONES goal. The technology exist to clean-up these smoke stacks...

    Ellis,

First...get a life...no one except you would think of such a reason...

    wheels,

I suppose you think that Bush knew exactly the time, the place, the manner of the attacks on 9/11? Because if he did that would be one hell of a mind reading trick! And since we are throwing stones, I seem to recall that it was under Clinton that the first bombing of the world trade center took place, AND also it was under Clinton that we experienced the most devastating domestic terrorist attack. But be that as it may, you go ahead and believe your limited view on such complex matters...

    Ind,

I save the best for you... Since we knew THE only target in that area of Libya that would be the embassy, and we knew for days ahead of time (unlike in 9/11 where there was NO specific time frame), would it not have been prudent to put a Marine detail there, instead of the 3 guards that we had there? And yes, wow...only when Barry was under the spotlight did he FINALLY take responsibility for actually calling it a "terrorist attack". Barry was spouting about Big Bird and "binders" when he should have been talking about AlQueda. Hell, he said "YouTube" more times than he did "AlQueda". And while the rest of America takes seriously the lack of leadership exhibited by Barry over this issue, your "forgetful" Biden was sitting chuckling over the comment of dead soldiers. So yes, I will vote for Romney/Ryan over two individuals that could care less about our diplomatic/military folks.

AC...great comment!!! It's refreshing to see intellect on here instead of the usual talking points from the loony left...

One thing you can take to the bank, Obama will shut down the coal industry. Obama said it himself, under his plan energy rates would naturally skyrocket, and they have. Obama said anyone wanting to build a coal fired energy plant could, but they would go bankrupt in the process. So anyone that believes anything coming out of Obama's mouth about domestic energy production is a fool. Obama will say or do anything to get elected, he is one of the world's great panderers. The price of energy won't just skyrocket in an Obama second term, it will shoot to the moon.

She came out hours before the debate and accepted responsibility for the attacks as she should because she is the Secretary of State. This gave Mitt hours to prepare his hiding behind a woman's skirt speech. You could actually see Mitt deflate with absolutely nothing to say when the President said, this is my responsibility, she works for me. Is Mitt a man that can think on his feet? I don't think so.

    Jk from above #2.16,

NINE months versus what you claim to know as "fact" isn't the same thing! You are right, it's allot worse and a much bigger lack of concern that cost thousands of more deaths by Bushes negligence. Since I wasn't there, or know what the Ambassador had, was requesting or never requested, there is no way anyone could say what they needed for security.

That's why it needs to be investigated. But, of course you are more knowledgeable and have more facts than the entire Foreign Policy department. makes you that much more credible then them, right! NOT! You probably couldn't even get into the foreign service let alone "know" everything that went down that night!

Big bird and "binders" were brought up by your guy. What, they shouldn't be brought up to refute Robme's very poor debatable "facts". He should only talk about foreign policy and let prissy shoot his mouth off about everything else. Pretty dumb statement to think that. Your guy got what he deserved. And it wasn't pleasant to watch.

Not even half of America thinks what you claim. See, that's your problem, nobody can or should think different than you. Just not possible. Hate to burst your bubble but allot really do. Maybe even enough to re-elect this President.

You never answered about the military you claim they care so much about why it wasn't even mentioned on their parties platform. Vice-president Biden has shown he cares a helluva lot more than your jokers. And guess what, it isn't just lip service like your clowns.

So if that's the "SAVE THE BEST FOR LAST" it sure is lacking just like your guy's performance the other night. By the way, guess who I have made up my mind to vote for and they don't have an R for their party.Mostly, because of the way they flip-flop all over the place, from one minute to the next and show no respect for our brave people serving our country.

If you by you mean that Romney has pulled to near a neck and neck tie with your failed leader should give you liberals cause for wonder. People have finally awoken from this smoke and mirror leader you've been cramming down our throat. If Obama has done such a great job, why isn't he running on his record, instead of cheap sound bites about binders and Big Bird. Really? And who is going to vote for Obama? Liberals? That's his strongest voting block...

      Obama has lost:

60% of the Jewish vote (pro Israel)

25% of the black vote (religious blacks who are against gay marriage)

40% of the white vote ( bad economy)

100% of the conservative vote (bad policies)

do you liberals actually believe that your 26% of the voting public will keep Obama in office? Obama has 1/2 of the support he had in 08... the math doesn't support your desire to keep this failed president in office.

Romney's one chance at victory was theatrical waving of his finger at Obama. All he does is get up, bobble his head and state economy bad - Obama's fault. He never explains the reason for the job losses in 2008 and 2009 and he NEVER admits that all of the job losses (4 million in 2008 and 4.7 million in 2009) occurred at the end of the W. administration and the BEGINNING of the Obama administration. His big proposal for growth is a 20% tax cut that he realized about a month ago would completely bankrupt the government - so for the FIRST time he began to state that he could get ALMOST ALL of the revenue back by eliminating deductions - but he won't say which deductions. Wow, what an economic plan. It's sounds "like a pretty sketchy deal." (That's Obama being very gentlemanly describing what is really complete bull@!$%#.)

The simple truth is that because Romney lost on the theatrics and because he is a rude and arrogant prick, voters had more of an opportunity to consider his vacuous economic strategies. There is no meat on the bone. He is selling us a risky tax scheme combined with more defense spending. Where have we heard that before? The more he has to explain it, the funkier it becomes. His economic plan is like mold. It's been around forever, and it slowly but steadily destroys everything.

I suggest you realize that the polls in this country have all been skewed democrat. Even with this, you should pay attention to Gallop that has Romney up by 6 points... that's beyond the margin of error. I don't rely on polls... I rely on what I see on the streets. I live in a predominantly democrat area... and I haven't seen one Obama sign... all I see are Romney signs. Liberals are relying on a behind the date Electorial College Map.

I believe the election will be close. We are country of sound bites and low information voters.

I am recently retired from the military and will be a new Obame voter primarily due to Romney/Ryan chicken hawk buster. I would hope others would learn something from the last decade of war and see the reaction and way went about this have been a significant waste of brave American blood and treasure. We clearly need to go after bad guys. But large invasions and nation building trying to make the world mini-me America has never work. Will we learn?

Given the underlying dynamics of the crash and great recession plus the condition of growth and world economy, I see no way for Romney/Ryan tax / economy to have much chance to work. So I am voting for slow steady improvement we seeing.

I am not opposed to tax reform., but we have to a congress that will do the right thing for a balance of increased revenue and decrease spending in a compromised.balance way to get overall budget in long term alignment -- versus extremes in either party

I just believe Obama is least harmful choice this time.

I also agree with comments that coals real problem is natural gas not regulations. To claim the whole clean coal mantra the industries must embrace cleaning up power plant with scrubbers and the like and not destroy large areas with mountain top removal methods. Problem is the cheap price of the gas and it large supply and that it is cleaner do not make coal attractive today

Bottom line is, coal is dirty. There is no such thing as 'clean coal'. That is like saying 'great disease'.

It is dangerous to extract, coal mines harm the environment. Then, when it is burned, it harms the environment AGAIN! Wrongme is not content to take us back to the 1950's. He wants to go all the way back to the 1650's when that was state of the art energy!

Why stop at coal? What about oxen? There are thousands, maybe millions of oxen out there just getting wasted! Gosh! I won't just fight for coal and oil! Gosh! I'll fight for oxen, too!! Gosh!

      Talk about a hypocrite:

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a Sign that the US Government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government's reckless fiscal policies. ...Increasing America's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that 'the buck stops here'. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and Grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better."

SENATOR BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA, MARCH 2006

Don't you just love the little libs: It is always Romney flipping but never Obama. Rather he is just "evolving"

I keep on asking liberals what Obama has done to deserve another 4 years... and all I hear is crickets... but that doesn't stop them from whining and crying about Romney every day of the week... all without even listing a single item that shows Obama deserves 4 more....

The only failure is the house republicans saying NO to almost everything the President has wanted to do to fix the Bush/Republican historic mess that they left. Give President Obama 4 more years with the house and the senate under democratic control and you will see the country bounce back in fantastic form.

Bengazi alone should be enough to tell you that this guy is nothing but a cover-up liar. 14 days before he admitted this was a terrorist attack... when they knew it within the first 12 hours.... and now it was released today that members of the state department were listening to the attack while it was happening... Hey Michael.........in 2006 every democrat including Obama voted AGAINST raising the debt limit. But in 2012 they voted for it......Why is that you might wonder. Because they just like the republicans are playing politics to stay in office. But you and the radical right cannot see what is really happening in DC because you are blinded. In your case by the Obama glow.

So you don't consider the Senate democrats a failure for holding up the house bills by throwing them onto Harry Reid's table? Isn't that obstruction? And you want to give 4 years more to the democrats? What the hell did they do in the first 2 years of Obama's presidency? They voted in a massive health care bill that the majority of Americans hate.... makes sense to me... NOT!

Sheila... do you mean your 401k? Sure it's up... it's up because the stock market is up.... what are you going to do when it corrects itself? It's bound to happen very soon too. The 13K stock market is over inflated and when it comes down... it will come way down. Maybe you don't know the history of the stock market... and what does Obama have to do with the Stock Market anyway? What policies has he set in place to keep the numbers high? I'll tell you... Nothing. The market is driven on 401K's.... I'd be very cautious about relying on it staying up... I wouldn't have my money tied up in the market right now... The only sure investment is precious metals.

Some areas of the country are doing OK... depending on where you live, you may be experiencing some growth... but.. if you understand the total economy, more areas are hurting extremely bad. Do you realize that since 2009 we've lost 2,900,000 construction jobs in this country? Do you think those people are feeling the jubilation you are feeling?

My town is very small, but the town board and economic development council are always working to bring in business. They do a great job. Much better than the one just across the state border. And don't worry, I don't doubt the stock market will correct itself again, this time I will take my gains and hold at breaking even in fixed assets. I am concerned about the rest of the country, but I would much rather stay positive and hope we are on a slow sure path to getting better.

I am a realist johnny. I look at $16 trillion in national debt and my eyes pop open when you realize how much money that is. Maybe you don't see it, or have decided to ignore it. Someone has to pay that money back, or what? We go bankrupt? What will that do to the world currency market and the dollar? What will you use to buy your bagels with? Maybe you don't buy bagels... but have you noticed the price of food in the stores? Maybe you don't buy food and live on water... I dunno. Inflation has just started rearing it's ugly head... Maybe you like paying $4.00 for a gallon of gas... or it could be that you walk everywhere you go...

Sure... I'm positive alright... I'm positive we are heading into a huge economic collapse if we don't change direction drastically... and with Obama we will not change direction...

Sheila... read my previous post... 4.15. Are you happy with what you are paying in the market? Bought a steak lately? How about chicken at $3.49 a pound? It seems everytime I go into the grocery market, prices are going up and up and up... That is an indicator we are in trouble... because the government doesn't use food in their inflation index... They hide the real costs of living. Their index only includes durable goods... and they are just now showing inflation is on the rise... Don't know if you remember the late 70's.

What part of free markets do some of you guys not understand? This summer, the midwest was hammered by a drought that caused corn prices to soar which btw is what feeds those animals you consider steak. This past spring, the berry prices went up due to a spring freeze in Michigan. And you guys want to blame whoever is president? Same goes for gas prices... look at the charts, the only thing they can really do is use our strategic reserves for short periods.

Unless you kids want to nationalize our energy like Chavez, all the drilling and oil pipelines in the world won't drop our prices. Keystone? I'm sorry, does that pipeline end in the heart of the US for our use? Heck no. It goes straight to the deep water ports of the Gulf to be shipped off to the global markets.

I've got plenty of things I wish Obama did differently (along with that worthless Congress) but to say he or any other president can have significant influence on these free market forces is a farce.

And Brian, while I can't say that things have improved as quickly as I hoped, there is a huge difference between 2008 and today. Back then the markets were crashing, banks were failing, and companies were shedding workers as fast as possible. Today, the markets have recovered and stabilized and large companies are hiring due to an optimistic outlook.

Again, not many people will argue that the last four years have been great, but I certainly haven't forgot how bleak things were four years ago. This isn't to say that Obama deserves all the credit, but he certainly didn't do worse than his predecessor.

America has more coal reserves then any country on this planet. Why would any leading American official not exploit this??

The "Petro Dollar" is on it's way out. This country had better become self sufficient quickly..!!

When the "Federal Reserve" prints more Federal Reserve Notes to operate this administration's uncontrollable spending, generous foreign aid, and playing global cop, with nothing backing the newly printed notes but a promise from this government, the American people will experience hyper inflation. The consumer sees this in the doubling of retail prices across the board. Except for the stagnate wages.

Your savings will only buy half of what it would. Your K-401's and retirement accounts will only buy half of what it would. But the government still has it's thieving hand in this small section of finance as "Capitol Gains Tax". Another form of taxation on the American tax payer.

America can only hope for a change. We need a leader that puts America 1st..

      "May God Bless!!"

You need coal to make coke for steel...

China has only about a 40+year reserve of coal and most of it is low grade. It takes high grade coal (metallurgical) to make steel...

While Obama is pushing 'Green energy' which relies on 'rare earths'. China has been supplying 96% of the Worlds needs for 'rare earths' for over a decade...

Why would a US President support China's grab for resources and make the US dependent on China for resources/processing???

BTY - The WORLD has been converting to NG as a energy source for over 2+decades. While the USA - Democrats are chasing; ethanol, high-speed trains, and other solutions, that use MORE ENERGY...

China is also cutting back on exporting it's rare earths which will make opening up America's own rare earth market more profitable. The only reason we were using their rare earths is due to cost.

Actually, the moron is the other half of the Republican ticket if you want to phrase it with a catchy slogan. I personally think they're BOTH liars who will sell our country down the river just to make a quick buck or dismantle our nation to "rebuild it" without a Constitution without that pesky Bill of Rights (since they seem so determined to ignore it if someone isn't a White, Christian, Conservative MALE) and in the image of their REAL leaders. We don't need an Aristocracy or a Plutocracy. That is NOT what this country was built on, but it sure seems to be that the Republican leadership is trying to drive the country in that direction.

And yet Obama picked a white male as a running mate...why is that?? Here he had a perfect opportunity to be more diverse, but yet he was too afraid that he would lose back in 2008, so he got himself a good ol white guy, right?

Actually One, that distinction of being a moron is held by the liberal left. It's ok to admit it, the rest of the country already knows it...

During the debate, Romney said that a good way for women to get ahead is to have a strong family unit, to not tie yourself down with kids until you can afford to do that. Which is okay, I agree with that. Anyone with that stance should be all for free birth control, which just makes the possibility of that happening all the more likely. I would like for him to get behind the economical, practical way of stemming welfare. Less kids to mothers who can't afford them is good for everyone.

Even if Obama HAD said it was a terrorist act, why then would he spend two weeks lying about it and claiming that it was due to "spontaneous demonstrations" about a 17 min anti-Mohammed Muslim film ? Did Obama lie the very next day, or has he LIED REPEATEDLY over the weeks following the murders ????

We know the answer.... Obama has lied repeatedly and he has now been CAUGHT in that lie !

Obama whined about equal time, when the records indicated he talked about 3 minutes longer ! Michelle Obama violated the rules as well by clapping for her husband when Ms. Crowley botched her reply ..... and "bailed out" Obama as he was floundering. Clapping was supposedly outlawed by the rules, but the Obamas have proven to believe they are above the rules.

            OBAMA IS A LIAR!!:

            Mr. Bloomquist;

I call it blackmail! The miners were coerced to write those letters under the threat of losing their jobs! Take your cut and paste comment spamming and bugger off! ;-)

Go ahead and vote for Romney then. I think America needs to learn a real hard lesson about where all of this hatred shown to Obama has taken us as a nation. And how dense it has made the minds of a large portion of the public. Surely hate cannot pay? America has never been governed from the absolute Far Right. While Romney vacillates between the lunatic fringe and the middle during this election he will be an afterthought should he win. We have seen the damage the extremist TP's have already done with just the House in their hands and yet those like yourself will be voting to give them free reign. It is the ultimate insanity and this nation will pay dearly if such a choice is made.

Vote for Romney and you will be the one who will eventually understand who is doing the swindling. I won't be joining you of course but I will likely be getting a big tax break. I recently bought into a small business that caters strictly to the wealthy. That group is going to be the only ones with much disposable income in a Republican world. You only have to look at the Bush years to see that reality. If you "create" a bunch of jobs in this environment they are going to be low wage service jobs. There are a slew of high tech jobs now available that are unfilled. But rather than spend on education the GOP is simply going to enrich the already successful. And history (not speculation) tells us what that means for the middle and lower classes.

Fuinny that you condemn Obama for attacking Romney in the 2nd debate when the opposite was quite true in the 1st debate. The president would have to be a fool not to counter. And he is no fool.
