BEREA, Ohio -- Making her first public appearance on the campaign trail with a member of the Romney-Ryan ticket, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice spent part of Wednesday in the all-important battleground state of Ohio with Paul Ryan.

Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, and Ohio Sen. Rob Portman speak to the Cleveland Browns Oct. 17 in Berea, Ohio.
“I’m here because I want, like you, to see this country prosper, to see this country continue to be a place of unlimited opportunity, to see this country lead the world toward prosperity and liberty and peace," Rice said. "And so I’m here to support Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan in that quest."
The former President George W. Bush cabinet member spoke at the Republican National Convention in August this year on behalf of Mitt Romney and has also participated in fundraising efforts but this was a rare joint public appearance for her.
“What an example," Ryan said. "If you want to see the embodiment of the American idea, look no further than this leader off my right shoulder Condoleezza Rice." He added: "You know this is my second time following Condoleezza Rice…it's a little intimidating, tough act to follow.”
In Ryan’s fourth trip to Ohio in the past week, he praised Romney’s performance in last night’s presidential debate and criticized President Barack Obama for not offering new ideas.
“Cut through the clutter of all the attack ads and what did we see?" Ryan said. "We saw a president offering not a single new idea on how to turn things around. We saw a president not offer a single new idea or a lesson learned from the failures of the last four years. But what we saw in Governor Mitt Romney was a leader who has the solutions, who has the ideas on how to turn this economy around, how to get people back to work, and how to get America back on the right track, and that's what we're going to do on November the sixth right here in Ohio."
Ohio, which has begun early voting, remains a crucial battleground state that both Romney and Obama are spending a lot of resources on to try and capture the state’s 18 electoral votes.
Rice is an avid sports fan, and her favorite football team just happens to be from the Buckeye State -- the Cleveland Browns. Following the rally at Baldwin Wallace University that drew a crowd of roughly 1,200, Ryan and Rice, along with Ohio Sen. Rob Portman, stopped by a Browns practice.
“I came by to say hello to my favorite NFL team," Rice said at the training complex as the Browns got their first win of the regular season last weekend against the Cincinnati Bangles. "And I am really thrilled about last Sunday. And, you know, it starts one game at a time. So one game and then another game and then another game, and I’m just really looking forward to a great rest of the season."
Ryan, as the team knelt on one knee by the three special guests, briefly addressed the team, as well: “You know I went to Miami of Ohio so half my friends are from Cleveland, half my friends are from Cincinnati, and all my friends from Cincinnati are pretty ticked off today.”
But, the Wisconsin congressman then confused one quarterback of the Browns for another.
“My wife’s from Oklahoma, so we’ve been watching you," Ryan said addressing Colt McCoy, the famed TEXAS quarterback. "You were really fun to watch at OSU. You guys got a great young team."
Ryan's comment, though, was intended for Brandon Weeden, who was drafted this year as the starting quarterback.
Secretary Rice pointed over at Weeden and, with a laugh, Ryan continued: “Oh yeah, there you are. Sorry. You always had a helmet on.”

.
What a great reminder of President George W Bush.
Ohio loves President Bush and thanks him for the loss of so many manufacturing jobs.
During his 8 years we lost manufacturing jobs every singly year and a total of 4.5 million nationwide.
Rice? Why? I am sure she is a talented celebrity . . . a democrat in disguise...
.
but I would rather see George W. Bush, her boss, to be on campaign trail with Mytt or Poor Lyin'
...a promo ... for this joint appearance of Rice and Ryan...should read...
.
Rice...that's what's for dinner.
I was thinking, what was Ms Rice famous/remembered for? I can only think of one, a Congenital Liar.
How appropriate that she being seen with ryan.
I found a race card laying on the ground.
liberal racists.
Ryan, you fool. Anyone red blooded American knows that it's harder to identify someone with their helmet on, than with their helmet off.
Being confused because Weeden had his helmet off shows that Ryan will say anything for a vote.
Maybe Rice should be Romney's running mate. At least she knows their sports heroes and doesn't act like a clueless politician.
Where is that great Republican Hero George W. Bush hiding? We keep seeing Condi but where is Mr. Bush. The Dem's have brought former President Bill Clinton but the Republicans have not brought their last brain trust Former President Bush.
Ohh...I just figured it out, they are playing where's Waldo.
Last I here he was taking paint by the numbers classes.
Condi Rice? Really? Yeah, let's have a re-run of Bush! On what planet do Republicans think that hauling out one of Bush's complicit members of the "years gone wild" days is good for their cause? Desperation? Yeah, I would say it is pure desperation that the Romney team would go so low as to bring her out.
Ryan must have had his helment on backwards.
Condi knows 'Mushroom Clouds"!....
.....of course she really only knows how to lie, its a prerequisite in rightie world!
Obama LIED and four good men died!
Come on Ohio, get it right!
DEMOCRATS FOR ROMNEY 2012!!!!!
(Don't let the Bali Bobs of this world ruin our country any further! We absolutely cannot take 4 more years of this!)
I seriously doubt Lyin Ryan was flexing his "guns" to that group! LOL The players look like they would really like to punt this trio off the field.
Why would that be, Mr. Ryan? Is it because you have zero knowledge and experience in foreign affairs and national security?
Condi was useless as Secretary of State and her results prove it. She was good only for a photo op and a handshake, as even Donald Trump said of her.
Dubya LIED and THOUSANDS died!
Debbie, I think you have him mixed up with Obama. Remember he promised if he got elected he would give amnesty to the illegals. He had full control of the House and Senate and could have rammed it down. His response was when he didn't pass it. "The Senate and House are tired from dealing with the healthcare bill, so we will do it next term". Next term he didn't have the House so he couldn't pass it. Fast forward to 2012 and now wants again to woo the Hispanic vote, so he does the Dream Act to placate. He is such a phony.
Ryan lied again!
People like him don't have friends, only victims.
How does Ryan have time to campaign when he is running all of the marathon races in less than 1 hour?
@Z,
DEMOCRATS FOR ROMNEY2012!!!!!
Good luck with that. There's probably TENS of 'em!
Obama/Biden 2012
I'm guessing that they could not get Colin Powell to even answer the phone.
I know this is off topic, but I have a question I hope someone can answer.
Romney's father, George Romney, WAS BORN IN MEXICO.
How would he ever have been able to become president, even if he had gotten his party's nomination?
It's ironic that Romney and Obama both had foreign-born fathers, yet no one ever talks about Romney being 'Mexican'.
Betcha Willard doesn't know (or won't say) who's his paternal grandmother.
Not racist, caesar. Colorblind.
I call it like I see it. Condi Rice is an intelligent woman and a fine academic, but she was an ineffective choice for her roles in the Bush/Cheney administration.
Alan West and Herman Cain are embarassments to your party, not even worth considering.
The GOP's token appointees and candidates don't fool us. The good ones (like Colin Powell) have fled the GOP for higher ground. So should you.
George Romney was born in Mexico, and so were his parents. So how could he have been an American citizen? Did he come to the U.S. illegally as a child?
Is Mitt Romney the son of an illegal alien?
conservative racist.
kaybee.......
Supposedly, Mitts grandfather fled the US 'cause he wanted many wives, not just one.....Lots of women.....polygamy!
Don't know how old George got here...something is really missing in the story. Mitt always says 'his father was born in Mexico to US citizens'.... I doubt it!
Oh Oh, Mitt is an anchor baby!.........lol
chilled...here ya go.. birth certificate and all

(good for a laugh.)
Condoleezza Rice is a very intelligent and talented woman. Once wonders what she might have accomplished if she weren't also such a self-serving, political, partisan hack.
Cover, cover, cover for Obama's mistakes
blame, blame, blame, the Republicans
liar, liar, liar (they say something different than Pres. Obama, they must be lying)
This is all that I hear from liberal posters these days
Thanks Chris....and laugh, I did, 'Original Bankster'....GMoney...Willard!

Yeah, she's so talented she was probably the one who made up that whole fake "mushroom cloud" story, and if she didn't she sure was the one who sold that big lie to the American People.
It's my guess that she's out there because Romney probably promised her another spot in his cabinet (heaven forbid!).

Perfect match. The Browns are the laughingstock of the NFL. And who are the Bangles? Weren't they some all girl rock band from the 80's? No wonder they won, lol!!
Chris@SLC
AHHH* im shocked, a progressive using the race card. Too bad Irony is lost Chris. it DOSE suck to be you.
Big Birds and Binders. Great strategy.

Pigotry, wouldn't it be nice if GW would come out of hiding?
Wow ...new Newsvine record....almost 30 idiotic comments in one string!!! A few mature adults did choose to add a post, but were then ravaged by 6 sluts, a pig, several racists, and tons of DimoCrap Liberal Losing Lemmings who will crapping their drawers on November 6, 2012, say about 11:00PM. ROFLMFAO!!!
ROMNEY / RYAN by a LANDSLIDE 2012 AND 2016!!!!!!
Willard promised Condi some new, expensive boots.
Condi Rice was absolutely outstanding at the Republican National Convention. Her speech was spellbinding, articulate and accurate ... all done without benefit of a teleprompter !
Dems cannot stand her because she is black ... and because she supports the Romney/Ryan ticket ! LOL !!
FACT CHECK this one......
"The fiscal year (FY) 2013 budget estimate for all components, including programs, within the EOP
is $710,753,000, which represents a decrease of $7,260,000, or 1.0 percent, from the FY 2012
enacted level. This restrained budget further represents the Administration's commitment to
aggressively pursuing control of deficits as the Nation works to rebuild and grow the economy.
Reducing domestic non-security discretionary spending in FY 2013 and beyond is one important
step in accomplishing this priority." - 2013 EOP Budget
"This restrained budget...." What is that about? And there's ANOTHER $462,000,000 in "Program" money...
Grand total for the EOP (Barry & Co.) $1.272 TRILLION for the Office of the President
Sorry... should be BILLION not trillion...... at least not yet...........
Blatina here.
We need Ohio. Let's go.
@Con,
I live in Ohio.
You can't have it.
Go away.
Obama/Biden 2012
I had to lookup what a Blatina was. LOL. Nice.
Smeagol is that you?
@C A,
Ha! Good one, I'll admit.
My Precioussss....
New Florida poll shows Obama leading Romney 47% to 44%. Still too early to guage what effect last nights Town Hall meeting had on anything.
Obama/Biden 2012
The real gauge will be when we have the next debate on foreign policy. Obama won't have Crowley to come to his defense. Now let's see how easily he can cover-up Benghazi.
SeekingSanity
Care to say which one. How Insane can you get, but dream on, dream on.
You sure do. But guess what, Ohio voters are smarter than your red state hate voters. They'll stick with the President and send Mitt back to his home with the car elevator. But keep repeating while clicking those ruby slippers and maybe you'll find out it's all been a dream.
You gonna ride that excuse all the way until Romney gives his concession speech, aren't you? Face it, he lost both the debate and his composure. One thing most sane Americans won't permit is a hot head for a Commander in Chief.
or a Failure but Liberals will. You have Obama. keep running your fingers through your lips.
Jerserygirl1-
Crowley didn't come to Obama's defense. Mitt was just WRONG! He had his chance. Pres. Obama said, let's move on and Mitt wanted to press the issue. And, in case you weren't listening, she also followed that with comments about it taking the White House two weeks to say it was not related to the video.
So stop whining! If she had said something to back up Romney, you'd be all for it.
I love this article from another MSNBC thread:
James Carville, Democrat political consultant extraordinaire – and former Bill Clinton campaign manager, has astonishingly come out and said what all good Republicans have known for decades: Not only are most Democrats politically clueless; they’re easily manipulated by the puppet masters of their party as well. Wow. James Freaking Carville. Of all people. Here’s an excerpt, as quoted by Amazon.com:
“Ideologies aren’t all that important. What’s important is psychology.
The Democratic constituency is just like a herd of cows. All you have to do is lay out enough silage and they come running. That’s why I became an operative working with Democrats. With Democrats all you have to do is make a lot of noise, lay out the hay, and be ready to use the ole cattle prod in case a few want to bolt the herd.
Eighty percent of the people who call themselves Democrats don’t have a clue as to political reality.
Says it all, doesn't it FR liberals? And from one of your own!
Now you know why he has not worked since 1992. Remember his wife Matalin is a GOP political consultant who worked for several former presidents and was chief of staff for the Republican National Committee. Sounds like he's whipped to me.
@1funnygirl. No one wants to reply when hit with the hard truth. They are very capable of following their party over a cliff. I have never seen such a stubborn mentality with all disregards to the truth.Amazing. It is almost as if being a democrat is a type of religion.
You do know that you are posting a lie, right? But, don't let that stop a Republican. After all, Republicans don't operate with facts. James Carville, a staunch a loyal Democrat, a fighter of middle class rights, has stated that those quotes that you have above are not his quotes. They were first posted on a website called "thinkexist.com" and they were posted by someone going by the name of "thisoneworks".
What is really funny is that two trollers believe it because you said so. Gotta be true, right? Hahahaha!
1funnygirl: You have just proven, once again, that Republicans, and especially you with that horrendous self portrait, have absolutely zero morals or ethics. You are unable to come up with your own substantive remarks, so you rely on the lies of others. Hmmm, kinda like your Republican nominee.
avatar is ugly, huh?
Good James is so spot on!
Good find.
Funny just can't help herself, but you can't blame her for being a liar. She is only following the example set by the Republican Leaders.
Hey Funny have you ever heard of fact check? You should try using it some time. What are you afraid of? It's easy.
Republicans can't handle the truth!

Wait Feisty (and liberal buddies)... I thought that there was a War on Women? Now I'm confused, why would a women be Republican if Republicans hate women (and it's even a black women *gasp*)?
I wonder if Mitt offered Condi a flex schedule so she'll be able to get home in time to fix turkey pot pie for her husband and kids.
I'm not sure about a flex schedule, but you can bet that she's getting a big chunk of change for her tokenship!
not husband and kids... maybe life partner.
Despicable and RACIST AZZHOLES are Michael, Disabled (yeh, MENTALLY), and WHY.....Ignorant phucks. Condaleeza Rice is a wonderful American. And never ONCE uttered "For the first time in my life I am proud to be an American", or, even worse, "All this for a DAMNED FLAG??"""" Who was that Black Woman?? Oh, The First Lady Michelle Obama, who is about to have her azz kicked to the curb by THE PROUD AMERICANS along with her Incompetent COMRADE IN ARMS and all of his COMMUNIST ASSOCIATES. Sorry Todd, Romney won!!!!!!!!
rjs, why are you neos so narrow in the mind? i dont care what you complain about, but please include your side. todd is a dem and willis is a neo con, limbaugh, riley, hannity, etc and murdoc are republicans. well maybe not limbaugh, he thinks his @!$%# doesnt stink.
if you have anything constructive to say, say it. if not shut your piehole!
rjs,
The only place Rmoney won is the planet near Kolb. You know the place? That's where Mormoms go when they die and become gods.
Carville is Demo and his wife is Repub - fun to watch when they're both on at the same time. So maybe you're right about Todd or maybe not. Did you hear about that couple in FL that got into a big fight over politics?
Pretty funny that Ryan is an owner of another NFL and he's telling the Browns what to do.
As a Packer shareholder, it was my understanding that what Ryan did today is a violation of NFL ownership policies and puts Ryan in violation of NFL rules.
good ole bob, hope you dont have daughters or maybe you believe women are second rate citizens and shouldnt rec equal pay or benefits. either way you are out of touch with the american people and their beliefs.
do you realize who and what you are supporting and what direct effect that support will have on you and yours?
Great job in the second debate.
Well you see Condi Rice on the campaign trail now is because of one reason foreign policy is the topic, and my instincts there will be a job in her future in the Romney Cabinet. Otherwise she wouldn't be out there.
Which means no future at all. As it should be.
Listen up! All of you independents and undecided voters!
I think a little refresher course in history maybe needed in helping all of you make a wise decision on whom to vote for!
The lunacy in the GOP started with the Reagan Era, and the GOP would like nothing more, than for all of us to forget their three previous administrations, because all three were filled with nothing but failed policies. And, they know that if the majority of our citizens knew how bad and harmful their policies have been to our country and economy that their chances of ever winning another election would be next too impossible.
Does this sound familiar? "Government is the problem, and Government is Bad.”
From early in Reagan’s presidency’s he started the corrosive distrust of the people’s government and made it a permanent fixture of American politics.
Did you know that Reagan could be considered the Father of the GOP’s fiscal irresponsibility?
Did you know that Reagan was forced to raise taxes at least twice, to avert a financial catastrophe?
Did you know that Reagan caused the national debt to skyrocket during his two terms?
Did you know that Reagan tripled the national debt by the end of his two terms?
Did you know that Reagan’s fiscal irresponsibility equal the entire debt burden produced by the previous 200 years of American history?
In other words, Reagan produced red ink as far as the eye could see!
And, even with the election of George H. Bush, it didn’t stem the flow of red ink.
George H. Bush created a little more than 4 trillion in debt during his presidency.
George H. Bush had to break his famously “read my lips, no new taxes” quote to address the cascading budget shortfalls, and his very own party turned on him, and which probably cost him reelection.
Only with the election of Bill Clinton did the hemorrhaging stop. At the end of Clinton’s presidency no amount of national debt could be attributed to Clinton. Through his policies of higher taxes and reduced spending helped bring about the strongest economy since WWII, and when he left office the CBO had forecasted that if his policies were continued that 5.6 trillion dollar surplus would accrue over the next 10 years.
Then we elected another fiscally irresponsible Republican, and almost from the beginning of George W. Bush presidency he began squandering away the forecasted 5. 6 trillion dollar surplus, because of his 1.4 trillion dollar tax cuts in 2001. George W. Bush.’s second round of tax cuts in 2003 accounted for the doubling of the national debt.
Then you add in 2 unfunded wars, 1 unfunded Prescription Drug Mandate, and his American Dream Downpayment Act, and all of this adds up to is, he took a forecasted 5.6 trillion dollar surplus and turned it into and 11.9 trillion dollar debt! And, it’s all easily verifiable by going to Treasurydirect.gov. And doing the math!
Now, when you read the last portion of this posting keep in mind the first part, because you’ll most definitely see a pattern!
1)Their self-fulfilling prophecy of bad government under Republican leadership, as the Bush recessions of 1991 and 2007, the Hurricane Katrina response, the Iraq catastrophe and the transfer of federal oversight powers to the industries being regulated all showed.
2) And, when the backlash from the American people inevitably comes as it did in 1992 and 2008, attack the very legitimacy of the new Democratic president they elected.
3) Then they turn to the filibuster and other obstructionists’ tactics to block the Democratic agenda, inaction for which the incumbent majority will be blamed.
4) They target the institutions and programs (Social Security, Medicare, the IRS) which form the underpinnings of progressive government.
5) They are smart enough to know that their plan cannot be fully implemented in just a few of their presidencies, and it will take a longer period of time.
6) And, all they do to get ready for the next cycle is, simply lather, rinse and repeat the procedure.
7) This has been the GOP’s Recipe for Successfully Changing America Into the Country of Haves and Have Nots!
Now, remember #3 and 4 above!
From the onset of President Obama’s presidency the GOP has made it very clear that they had no intentions of working with him, even though they had no idea of his plans at the time.
Mitch McConnell said, that their only goal was to make sure that Mr. Obama was a one term President.
The GOP has been on a witch hunt ever since President Obama took office.
Through the GOP’s underhanded tactics have caused this country to have to endure 4 extra years of depression/recession.
The GOP has jeopardized our children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren’s futures by their underhanded tactics.
Then they try and lay blame on President Obama for their contrived fiscal irresponsibilities.
We elected Mr. Obama to try and right the wrongs of the fiscally irresponsible borrow and spend republicans, and as you can see all they’ve done throughout his presidency is to try and keep the country in a depression/recession and by doing so has kept the public in a despondent mood just hoping you all are stupid enough to vote in another one of their fiscal irresponsible candidates!
Now, if you want to be a party to their lunacy, then vote for Romney/Ryan to further the destruction of your country!
Or,
If you want to stop this lunacy, then vote for Obama/Biden to resurrect the Middle Class and save your country!
BTW, Copy this posting, and pass it on, because the truth will set us all Free from the GOP’s Lunacy!
Stonecold, permit me to be the first to give you a star- spangled, twenty-one-gun ATTABOY! for your very informative- and incontrovertible- post.
I grew up in Northern California, and the lingering effects of Governor Reagan's eight- year 'reign of error' could be seen on the streets of my hometown every day. The mental patients who were turned out on the streets to fend for themselves when the state shut down the hospitals were only the most visible effect of his
idiotic puppet showwise fiscal stewardship. One couldn't so readily see the teachers fired, class sizes ballooning, libraries slashing their open hours; however, one thing we were vaguely famous for was a freeway interchange that stood unfinished, towering above the flat, fertile landscape, for fifteen years- you just couldn't miss that.My first election was in 1984, and it drives me utterly insane, the way the Reptilicans have blown up the Reagan Myth; they've spun a narrative that has Saintly Ronnie leading a relieved and grateful nation out of the malaise and shame of the Carter years, and into sunlit uplands where we all went around fairly bursting with patriotic pride while we went to our high- paying jobs (everybody was working, dontcha know!), in our clean, crime- free communities. Yep, life was pretty much perfect in those days!
Except for those of us who were actually there...
We remember when unemployment hit 10% and kept climbing in 1982. We remember the saber- rattling that had a lot of younger people seriously doubting that we'd have a world to grow up in. We remember the crude, insensitive way St. Ronnie simply dismissed the plight of America's underclass (which exploded during his two terms in office- who the hell was talking about homelessness in 1979?) as though they were just a PR problem. We remember the relentless backstabbing and sniping within his administration, the almost monthly stories of corruption and graft, the staggering incompetence of his appointees, and the regular parade of resignations to avoid indictment- a record number under his presidency. We remember that half of the nation had profound doubts about his mental competence to lead a government he professed to loathe.
We remember when Ronald Reagan committed treason by selling weapons to America's sworn enemies. We remember when he spat on the graves of the victims of terrorism by negotiating with the terrorist's paymasters in Teheran. We remember when he brushed off the Holocaust by insisting that the SS monsters who committed the atrocities were themselves "victims of Nazism."
Last night, my lovely Canadian bride asked me, "Wasn't it a year ago that a lot of these people were piling on Romney, calling him a vulture capitalist and a cultist and a flip-flopper? But now they're supporting him? How can they do that?" I guess it's that same kind of collective amnesia that allows us to remember Reagan as a bold, inspiring leader who was loved by one and all, rather than the bumbling, maladroit, corrupt, heartless criminal who we actually saw at the time.
And before you Rethuglicans start piling on- take a moment to check the truth of the things I said above. The 10%+ unemployment, the sale of weapons to Iran, the resignations of high- ranking administration officials- all true, and no amount of name- calling will make it otherwise. Have at me, you freedom- hating blind drones.
A very well written post.
new tape, Romney urges bosses to tell their workers how to vote
One month after Mitt Romney’s infamous 47% comments sent his campaign into shock, another revealing recording of the former Massachusetts governor has surfaced.
On a conference call with small business owners back in June, hosted by the National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB), Romney encourages employers to “make it very clear” to their workers that their jobs are dependent on the outcome of the election.
“I hope you make it very clear to your employees what you believe is in the best interest of your enterprise and therefore their job and their future in the upcoming elections. And whether you agree with me or you agree with President Obama, or or whatever your political view, I hope, I hope you pass those along to your employees. Nothing illegal about you talking to your employees about what you believe is best for the business, because I think that will figure in to their election decision, their voting decision.”
soundbite video posted on you tube
Prime, if you can still hear me, get a new thought, this one is very stale.
Republicans have clearly put the Republican Party and the 1% way ahead of recovery and the country. They got us into this recession, and by dogma, would like nothing better than to do it again, only worse.
Republicans gave us two wars, out-of-control deficits, and an economy in shambles. That's a great record for them to run from, right over the next nearest cliff. At the very most, Romney deserves 1!% of the vote. God bless the kamikaze voters who are set to elect their own destruction. Most animals know enough to run from danger, but vegetables do not.
The Republicans have done everything under the sun to destroy our economy.
And, here’s the kicker, just to bring about their version of Capitalism!
This upcoming election boils down to whether we want. . . .
The Right’s version of capitalism, a laissez-faire type of capitalism, whereas. . . .
Capitalism is characterized by free market fundamentalism, where consumers, workers, and families are left on their own, and businesses do whatever they want, with little or no role for government.
Or, do we want the Left’s version of capitalism where society sets the rules and standards of commerce, regarding matters like protecting consumers, employees and the environment from irresponsible business practices, such as excessive pollution, risky oil drilling, predatory and reckless bank lending, unsafe workplaces, food, medicine, cars, and airplanes, minimum wages, and discrimination by race and gender.
It’s basically that simple!
So it is the GOP/RNC "War Hawk" herself! Careful "Richie Rich" Ryan. Ms. Rice should be in front of an International Criminal Court. With her will be Rumsfelt, "Brainless Bush," and "Chump-Change-Cheney." They have been already charged by the International War Crimes Court in LaHague for the following crimes. Starting Two Illegal Wars for profit. Causing the unwarranted deaths of Thousands of civilians. Crimes against humanity. What a joke America!
If she is paid for her apperances I'll bet Condi is paid 30% less than her male counterparts would be paid by the GOP for the same appearances.
Too bad she is mixed up with that bunch of hoodlems. The Bush Crime family has tainted the once intellegent woman that might have been a good VP choice. But, because of her ties to Dubya and the gang she's doing what she is destined to do as she won't be able to go any higher.
Joe Biden, care to comment on this:
Remember this the next time you hear B.O. "spiking the football" about killing Osama Bin Laden.
The decision to raid Osama bin Laden’s compound in Pakistan and kill him was made without President Obama – and actually was kept from him until after the helicopters already were in Pakistani airspace – according to a new report from a retired major general who cites a senior intelligence source.
The raid was handled by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Director of Central Intelligence Leon Panetta and others in this way because Obama had vetoed multiple earlier opportunities to attack the man behind the 9/11 terror attacks, the report said.
The report comes from U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Paul E. Vallely, who retired in 1993 as deputy commanding general, Pacific Command, and has served as a senior military analyst for Fox News. He is now chairman of Stand Up America, which calls itself the standard bearer for the conservancy of the U.S. Constitution. The group has briefed the FBI, Congress, law enforcement and other agencies on terrorism and “anything that affects the life, liberty and pursuit of happiness of our citizenry and way of life.”
In a column published today by WND, Vallely said a “senior and sensitive intelligence community source” affirmed to a Stand Up America research team that Obama “did not know of the raid in Abbottabad to kill Osama bin Laden on May 1, 2011, until after the helicopters with SEAL Team 6 had crossed into Pakistani airspace.”
The source said Obama was notified “at the golf course … which is why he was sitting in the strange sitting position in the picture that documented the White House operations room event.”
The source told Stand Up America that Panetta “was the key player who organized and supported this daring raid.” “He signed the ‘execute orders’ with only a few people aware: Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, Adm. Bill Mullen and Gen. David Petraeus.” The source explained the White House “was closed out of the decision because the president, through Valerie Jarrett, had turned down two or three other earlier proposals.” Panetta, Vallely’s source reported, “and his covert planning team were extremely frustrated at all the denials, so saw the opportunity slipping away, as implausible as it seems.”
The report said Panetta convinced his other principals to make the decision and received their full-fledged support but the president, according to the official, “remained clueless on the mission.” “This tremendously serious and sensitive information was relayed by a source who has been very frustrated with the continued dishonesty within the White House,” Vallely reported.
Vallely, who served in Vietnam and retired in 1991 from the U.S. Army as deputy commanding general for the Pacific, previously has called for “We the People” to stop the nation’s “progressive socialist, treasonous death march.” He graduated from West Point and was commissioned in the Army in 1961. He served in theaters in Europe and the Pacific Rim and saw two tours of combat duty in Vietnam.
CBS has reported that “Obama’s decision to send operatives after Osama bin Laden” was described by White House counter-terrorism adviser John Brennan as “one of the most gutsiest calls of any president.” However, the Mail Online in London reported a book by Richared Miniter documented that three “kill” missions were canceled by Obama in January, February and March of 2011. The SEAL mission was in May 2011.
Miniter reported it was Jarrett who kept urging Obama to cancel plans to get bin Laden. The Ulsterman Report blog earlier said Obama did not make the attack decision. That blog said, “He can say he did and the people who really know what happened are inside the Pentagon, are in the military and the military isn’t allowed to speak out against the commander-in-chief so his secret is safe.”
new tape, Romney urges bosses to tell their workers how to vote

Binder. You know another word that starts with "B"?
B-E-N-G-H-A-Z-I
I know another B word, it's butthurt. As in, you're butthurt that Willard was played like a fool last night.
I KNEW IT WAS TOO GOOD TO BE TRue! Despite our best efforts, Governor Romney has lost the election. It comes down to simple mathematics:
Latest Presidential Polls: Obama Holds Insurmountable Lead in the Electoral College
Latest Presidential Polls Obama Holds Insurmountable Lead in the Electoral College
Despite the best efforts of Mitt Romney's campaign to close the gap, it may be impossible for the Republican challenger to overcome what has become a numbers game in the Electoral College. Understanding how the Electoral College works, particularly in light of conflicting daily polling results, is a task that is even more daunting than predicting the election itself. With 17 days until the election, the combination of confusing polling data and the memory of Obama's margin of victory in swing states in 2008, make it very difficult to bet on a Republican candidate. The deck just seems stacked.
Let's start by looking at a swing state that is not in play. Michigan, a state in which Romney would have undoubtedly liked to mount a serious challenge, was abandoned by the McCain campaign in 2008. The Obama campaign has deftly pushed the perception that its administration has saved the auto industry in Detroit. Given that in the latest Rasmussen Poll has Romney trailing by 7 points, even the most adamant Romney supporter would have a hard time arguing the campaign is really competing in the state.
Looking at the broader picture, Real Clear Politics currently puts 10 swing states in play for the 2012 Presidential Election. Excluding Michigan, the states (in order of electoral size) are Florida (27), Pennsylvania (20), Ohio (18), North Carolina (15), Virginia (13), Wisconsin (10), Colorado (9), Nevada, (6), Iowa (6) and New Hampshire (4).
273towin.com is a very useful site that shows electoral maps for all U.S. Presidential elections, as well as providing an interactive map that predicts the electoral college for the 2012 election. If the October 15 polls become a reality in the forty non-swing states, Obama holds a 217 to 191 edge over Romney in the Electoral College, thus leaving 130 electoral votes from the remaining ten swing states up for grabs.
273towin.com also has the latest polling for then ten swing states listed above. If the election were held today, and those polling numbers became a reality, President Obama would defeat Mitt Romney 270 to 268 in what would be the closest presidential election ever. Even with the ever-changing polls, the intricacies of the Electoral College, and the unpredictability of elections in the United States, where is Mitt Romney going to get the votes necessary to drastically change the outcome of this electoral map?
Lets start in Paul Ryan's home state of Wisconsin. While the Republicans have been quick to point Ryan's congressional record, as well as the re-election of Scott Walker after a recall, the state has not voted for a Republican in the general election since Ronald Reagan won his first term in 1984. In the 2008 election, Obama had a 13.91% margin of victory, winning the state by 412,293 votes. Combine this number with the fact that Obama is up 4 points in the latest American Research Group Poll (270towin.com), and the Romney campaign might have to look elsewhere for those ten electoral votes.
The hottest state in which the Obama camp seems to be losing ground is Pennsylvania. Forget the fact that the state hasn't voted for a Republican to take the oval office since 1988, or the fact that Romney is trailing Obama by roughly four points according to The Morning Call Muhlenberg. In 2008 Obama's margin of victory was 10.4%. With the number of Democrats in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, that margin of victory was 405,820 in actual votes.
While Republicans have cited possible voter fraud in the state of Pennsylvania, studies have proven that there is no credible evidence that upholds the idea that conclusive voter fraud cases have affected recent election results in the state. The new voter registration laws upheld in the Pennsylvania Supreme Court will make it difficult for some citizens to register to vote, and will help to decrease Obama's stronghold over the state. Yet, it is still unlikely to definitively swing the state in Romney's favor.
While pundits waste their time talking about how no Republican has won the White House without Ohio, this election's most important state is easily Florida. According to the latest Public Policy Poll, Romney holds a one-point edge in the state. While Obama only won the state by a mere 2.5% margin, the Romney camp faces two critical issues in the state.
First, according to the latest ImpreMedia & Latino Decisions Poll, 67% of Latino voters are fairly certain they will vote for Obama. That number compares to only 23% of Latinos who are fairly certain they will vote for Romney.
According to the U.S. Census, in 2011, nearly 23% of the population of Florida is of Hispanic or Latino origin. If the national trend translates over to the state level, coupled with the fact that 16.5% of the population in Florida is African-American, then you could estimate nearly 31.4% of the population are highly likely to vote for Obama (assuming they vote).
Paul Ryan's Catholicism should bring back some independent Hispanics back into the fold, but his threatening views on Medicare create a second problem. According to the Office of Economic and Demographic Research, Florida has 4,720,799 people between the ages of 45 and 64. Medicare is clearly a cause for concern among these voters. According to The Sun-Sentinel "Florida's fast-growing Medicaid program — which cares for the state's impoverished children and for most senior citizens in nursing homes — would lose roughly a third of its federal money under budget plans embraced by Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney and his running mate Paul Ryan." If Romney is polling less favorably with Hispanics than John McCain (who also lost Florida), and his vice president is driving away arguably the state's most important voting block, where does his campaign hope to make up ground?
Romney also needs to close the 11% gap (Gallup polling) that Obama held over McCain in winning independent voters. Given the state of the economy, the Obama administration's handling of Libya, and Obama's performance in the first debate, the Romney campaign has swiftly seized the opportunity to reduce the overall seven point lead Obama held in most polls as late as the month of July.
In 2004, Democratic challenger John Kerry missed out on the Presidency by losing the state of Ohio. For Kerry to prevail in that election, he would have only needed twenty states plus the District of Columbia to do so.
For Romney, the ideal Republican victory map would have him winning a whopping seven of the ten swing states, with Obama holding onto just Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Colorado. That means, that counting the last election, Romney would need to win back those seven states plus Indiana (which went for Obama in 2008), thus marking more than a one hundred point swing in the electoral college.
It is clear that Romney's campaign, for numerous reasons, has gained ground in this election season. It is equally transparent that the Obama campaign is a shadow of a 2008 campaign that was supposed to be a paradigm for future presidential campaigns. Will this combination of factors be enough?
The blame for Romney's plight extends further back than just the previous Republican administration. The electoral strategy of cementing the socially conservative southern and mid-western base voters is not a new concept. That idea was started by Ronald Reagan's presidential campaigns and further solidified by both Bushes and John McCain. While successful in the short term, the strategy will limit this Republican candidate's ability to win this election.
Couple the Republican's limited strategy with Obama's electoral domination in 2008, which increased the number of target states (North Carolina, Iowa, Colorado, and Indiana) for the Democrats, and you are left with a Republican campaign that is exponentially more challenging.
Is it possible, that voter turnout (a number that has gone up at least fifteen million votes since 2000) could negatively affect Obama? Is it also possible that economic hardships knock out Obama just as they did with the re-election campaigns of Presidents' Jimmy Carter and George H.W. Bush? Is it possible that thousands of independent voters in ten very different swing states see Mitt Romney as the moderate who was Governor of Massachusetts, rather that the right wing-pleasing Republican that has muddled his message? The answer to all of these questions is, yes, it is possible.
Yet, given the state of the electoral map, the current volume of polls, the remaining political issues facing his campaign, and the path that was forced on him since the Reagan era, it is difficult to imagine a Romney victory. The fact is, in this election, the results are not about what is fair, possible, or even right, but rather what the numbers gap says is almost certain.
Which silly Romney advisor decided to send out Condoleeza Ricearoni after such a terrible night. Her presence is reminiscent of Bush's years no one wants to be reminded of the traumatic years of war and poor economic management . I question their intelligence. Now for more dirt from the right wing. I am accustomed to hearing unbelievable things so I am ready for the carpet bombing from the bittter hearts
