Celebs hit swing state airwaves for Obama

Updated 1:53 p.m. - President Barack Obama is enjoying the help of guest stars in recent TV ads airing in swing states.

The president's re-election campaign released a new ad on Sunday, which aired during some of yesterday's nationally-televised sporting events, featuring actor Morgan Freeman doing voiceover work in a spot about the challenges Obama faced upon taking office.

And on Monday, the Obama campaign released a new ad targeting voters in Ohio, featuring former senator and legendary astronaut John Glenn speaking directly to the camera in support of the president's re-election.

"Growing up in Ohio, you learn to size up a person by their character," Glenn says in the ad. "And that's why I'm supporting President Obama."

The cameos come just 22 days before the election, as the president looks to hold off a potentially resurgent opponent in Mitt Romney, who's making up ground versus Obama after a strong performance in their first debate.

Obama's benefited from celebrity support throughout the campaign, having held a star-studded concert last week in Los Angeles, featuring Katy Perry, Stevie Wonder, Jennifer Hudson, Earth Wind & Fire and Jon Bon Jovi.

Obama is also getting a boost this week from rocker Bruce Springsteen; the boss is campaigning in Cleveland this week alongside another Democratic rock star: former President Bill Clinton.

"This election is a clear choice between two different visions for Ohio and the country. We can have four more years like the last four years, with more policies from President Obama that stifle job growth, hurt energy production, and make it harder for businesses to hire," said Romney spokeswoman Amanda Henneberg. "Or we can choose Mitt Romney, who has a pro-growth vision for the country that will unleash the private sector, utilize our domestic energy resources, and help Ohio – and the rest of the country – experience a real recovery."

Romney has made use of some celebrity support, too. Musician Kid Rock rallied with Paul Ryan last week in Michigan, and, of course, actor Clint Eastwood nearly stole the spotlight from Romney at the Republican National Convention in August with a 15-minute routine with an empty chair meant to represent Obama.

But it's quite another thing to put these celebrities on television in the home stretch of a campaign.

Outside groups are getting in on the celebrity action, too. The liberal group MoveOn.org Political Action released a new ad set to run in Colorado and Virginia featuring actresses Scarlett Johansson, Kerry Washington and Eva Longoria (the last of whom is an official co-chair for the Obama campaign) speaking about reproductive rights.

Glenn's support is no surprise since he is a life long democrat but never the less will have some influence. As to the rest of the endorsements from the 1% elite celebrities, it's just acting and the ads should have no consequence. Tomorrow night is round two between Romney and Obama and I am looking forward to it.

Ben,

You're kidding right? Michelle Obama and Jill Biden have worked hard to make sure that those that return from overseas have a voice and that their families have what they need, health care just to start.

I seem to recall that the GOP failed to vote for a veterans bill a few weeks ago and also failed to have any veterans speak at their convention OR acknowledge the troops in any way, shape or form.

No Layton not kidding. My focus is on a bill enacted three years ago when the democrats controlled Congress and the WH, requiring the Pentagon to establish centers around the globe in all key locations where our military are stationed to see our soldiers will have their votes counted and in on time. Thus far, less than 50% of those centers have been established. Then coupled with all the bureaucratic excuses the states give presidential election after presidential election, our soldiers are being disrespected. This has to stop.

I also seem to recall at the democrat convention that ships and planes from other countries were used to honor our armed services. Please point me to the links that go into "details" of the results of Jill and Michelle's hard work. Tricare is set up to help those who return so what's to help there?

But again, I was addressing the ability for current military overseas to be allowed to have their vote counted in elections. If there is any group that should have special treatment to see that their voices are heard, it would be the military. Why does this keep happening?

the plan Romney has in store for the USA is the two point Romney/Bain agenda. the first point ship as many factories to china at the expense of the workers in the USA. be patient for two generations of non-working Americans (the 72%), don't worry about your grandchildren they will be working in the fields harvesting crops for the very industrious Chinese middle class. point two, return the factories to the USA in fifty years and all its Chinese technology and retrain our peasant class at a rate of pittance, reaping huge profits for the aristocracy that gloat at the brilliant plan that made them even richer. The Romney/Bain plan for America: "what goes around, shall come around."

Ben -- Why are you not wailing on the Republicans for voting to cut money out of the budget for those centers and for more security?

Did you miss the fact that it took Democrats to pass a bill that would expand voting centers overseas? Why wasn't that done in the previous Administration?

@Debbie -- The Navy says it needs between 310 and 316 ships to meet all its obligations around the world, a number that has remained roughly unchanged since the 1994 Quadrennial Defense Review . It is currently at 278 with an aging fleet in necessary need of repair and modernization.

The politics played in the "jobs" bill was ridiculous. It was fraught with wasteful spending. Republicans wanted foreign aide to Pakistan, Libya and Egypt to pay for the bill.

"It is disrespectful to the sacrifice our service members have given to continue sending foreign aid to those countries that we have assisted and defended when people in them attack our embassy, assassinate our ambassador and continue to detain and torture those who have assisted us." Rand Paul.

@Beverly -- again your message about 47% is not sticking. It has nothing to do with veterans. What is going on with the Middle East crisis investigation is minimal to what you would cry for if this was a republican administration. Also, one of the other families of a fallen patriot in Libya that fateful but preventable day, wants answers and the investigation to continue. Are you saying there is a pecking order in the families who suffered a loss?

So will someone please address my main concern -- why are our current military in large part being denied the ability to vote!!!! Enough of the other stuff. Why are you deflecting?

Dennis -- One last time, then please address my comment. The current plans call for vessels that are intended to patrol coastal water for mine-sweeping, anti-submarine warfare and operations against smaller vessels. They aren’t designed for high-intensity warfare or providing protection for Navy aircraft carriers. Romney's proposal addresses buying the three Virginia-class submarines annually and larger warships such as destroyers and potentially new cruisers to escort aircraft carrier groups. It is Romney's opinion along with his campaign military advisers a strong Navy and presence in the Asian area will convey the strength of America to the world. I tend to agree.

Now, why are our military not be provided every measure, every effort possible to have their vote counted?

To answer your question.

The Democrats do not like the Military because they vote overwhelmingly Republican. The reason why the Military vote that way is because they know leadership and or lack of leadership. The Military also knows the Republicans will have their back, not paint a target on their backs. The Democrats are slowly weakening the military with there left wing policies but they have not gotten far enough yet so they will continually try and not count Military personnel votes.

Republicans will send our brave men and women into un-necessary wars with antiquated weapons and armor - like they did Iraq. The GOP sees war as an employment function and has no problem sending our military to their deaths as long as the Haliburton's of the world get their contracts.

Republicans have voted to cut funding for veterans while Democrats have voted to increase funding for veteran's programs and benefits.

Surely you believe that our military -- especially if they are voting for Obama -- deserve to have that right to vote unimpeded by bureaucracy. really? funny I think they're still using the same weapons (M4 or M-16 variant), Metal plates for the vests were pre war, Ma Duece is the same as it has been for ages. M1A1 (or A2) havent changed before the war (see 91) AC-130 still the same, SAW still the same, the 240 and M-60 still the same (they all still use NATO 5.56 and 7.62 respectively). No seeking I believe you are refering to the HMMWV that was under armored for IEDs.

Hidden on the back pages of foxnews.com a story run by the AP

FACT CHECK: Romney spins one-sided story on trade, defense cuts in foreign policy speech

Published
October 08, 2012

Associated Press

WASHINGTON – Mitt Romney solely blamed President Barack Obama on Monday for potential defense cuts that Republicans in Congress worked out with the White House and Democrats and left the misimpression that Obama has ignored free trade initiatives.

A closer look at some of the Republican presidential nominee's statements in his foreign policy speech:

ROMNEY: "I will roll back President Obama's deep and arbitrary cuts to our national defense that would
devastate our military."

THE FACTS: "Arbitrary" defense cuts do not belong to Obama alone but also to congressional Republicans,
including his vice presidential running mate, Rep. Paul Ryan. The first round
of cuts in projected defense spending is the result of a bipartisan deal in
August 2011 between Congress and the White House to wrestle down the deficit.
Unless a new budget deal is reached in time, additional spending cuts will
begin in January across government, and the cost to the Pentagon would be $500
billion over a decade. Lawmakers are working to avoid that. Separately, Obama
wants to slow the growth of military spending, now that the war in Iraq is
ended and the war in Afghanistan is drawing to a close. The Pentagon's budget,
including war costs, is $670 billion this year, or about 18 percent of total
federal spending. Even setting aside the costs of the wars, military spending
has more than doubled since 2001.

At its heart, Romney's statement marks a disagreement with Obama over the proper level of military spending but also skips past a deficit-reduction deal that he recently criticized Republicans in
Congress for negotiating.

ROMNEY: "The president has not signed one new free trade agreement in the past four years. "

THE FACTS: Obama hasn't opened new trade negotiations, but he's completed some big ones, overcoming opposition from fellow Democrats to do so. After taking office, he revived a free-trade
deal with Colombia that had been negotiated by his Republican predecessor but
left to languish without congressional approval and sought similar progress
with South Korean and Panamanian free-trade pacts. The president delayed
submitting the three deals to Congress while he tried to placate Democrats who
opposed some of the terms, but finally submitted them in 2011, and Congress
approved them.

ROMNEY: "I will recommit America to the goal of a democratic, prosperous Palestinian state living side by side in peace and security with the Jewish state of Israel. On this vital issue, the
president has failed, and what should be a negotiation process has devolved
into a series of heated disputes at the United Nations. In this old conflict,
as in every challenge we face in the Middle East, only a new president will
bring the chance to begin anew."

THE FACTS: With this statement, Romney
has moved toward the balance enshrined in U.S. policy from one administration
to another on the question of Israelis and Palestinians and away from his
provocative remarks to a May fundraiser that recently came to light.

In those remarks, he said "the Palestinians have no interest whatsoever in establishing peace," ''the
pathway to peace is almost unthinkable to accomplish," Palestinians are
"committed to the destruction and elimination of Israel" and it would
be "the worst idea in the world" to put pressure on the Israelis to
give up something in hopes Palestinians would respond accordingly. Now he is appearing to put faith in a negotiation process he all but dismissed before.

ROMNEY: "As the dust settles, as the murdered (in the Libya consulate attack) are buried, Americans are asking how this happened, how the threats we face have grown so much worse, and what
this calls on America to do."

THE FACTS: It's unclear whether terrorism has gotten worse. There has been no incident even remotely comparable in scope or symbolic meaning to the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the
World Trade Center and the Pentagon. After a score of counterterrorist
successes, the Obama administration has been knocked back on its heels since
the attacks' 11th anniversary, when assailants stormed the U.S. consulate in
Benghazi, Libya, and killed a U.S. ambassador and three other Americans. There
has also been an uptick in attacks on American troops by supposedly friendly
Afghan forces. But many counterterrorist experts say al-Qaida has been
significantly weakened and the threats of global terrorism significantly better
countered over the last decade.

ROMNEY: "When we look at the Middle East today — with Iran closer than ever to nuclear weapons capability, with the conflict in Syria threating to destabilize the region, with violent
extremists on the march and with an American ambassador and three others dead
likely at the hands of al-Qaida affiliates — it is clear that the risk of
conflict in the region is higher now than when the president took office."

THE FACTS: Risk is always a matter of perception, so it doesn't fall easily into the realm of truth vs. fiction. But for the United States and the region, it's not clear that conflict has
increased in the last four years. Obama entered office in 2009 with the United
States still engaged in a conflict in Iraq. U.S. troops are no longer there.
And he came as Israel and Hamas just finished a three-week war. That was two
years after another war between Israel and an Iranian-backed force, in that
case, Hezbollah in Lebanon.

There has been no significant Israeli military conflict since Obama has come into office. That said, Syria's conflict has become the region's deadliest since the Iraq war. The U.S. has stayed out
of that conflict under Obama.

Romney/Ryan 2012

Biden interrupted Ryan 82 times. This is not strength, it is immature, and insecure. What is he afraid of? Afraid America will see something he doesn't want us to see?

Ryan on the other hand kept his cool and had some very clever responses. I loved his response to Joe about his 47% jab,

"Mr. Vice President, I think you of all people should know that not everything you say comes out the way you intended it" (crowd errupts in laughter in case you need any more clarification on what is real and what is democratic drivel) Now to be fair, republicans are also guilty of drivel, but not nearly as much as I see in the mainstream media - so yes, I check all my sources and after careful research for years, Romney is the obvious, best choice this time. C'mon guys, let's get this one done and stop hoping for a dream that is not going to happen.

60% of the money Obama spends is borrowed. Try it yourself and see how far you get.

The so called economy is being artificially floated along. I look at the numbers Obama puts up and they don't match whats going on.

China and Japan has stopped loaning us money. A second credit downgrade in September. We are heading toward bankruptcy and their is nothing that supports the contrary.

I find it odd that Obama jobs created claim jumped from 4.2 to 5.3 million in just one month.

The new unemployment figures started an different measurement in September. Part time workers suddenly were counted as fully employed. That is what caused the jump into the high sevens.

I'm one of the 47% and I realize that if the government goes bankrupt I will not receive the check I worked for and was promised. I also look at how Obama handled GM. He let them go bankrupt and thousands of retired GM employees lost most of their retirement. Obama then sold the shares he bought for $100 each to China for $30 dollars. Claiming GM is doing fine is misleading. China owns it now and they should change it to CGM for Chinese Government Motors.

Bottom line our car broke down and we called a plumber.

I'm not making the mistake of voting for Obama again.

I don't care for Romney but he is a financial genius and has a proven financial record of success. You may say he out sourced jobs. This is true but everyone had to because our government under trade agreements Bill Clinton signed stabbed America in the back.

Holding the out sourcing against Romney is like holding it against a drowning man for grabbing a life preserver. It was that or go bankrupt.

Our car is broke down and this time we need a mechanic that knows what he is doing. Not a community organizer that only knows how to make pretty speeches.

FORWARD????? I don't think so!

President (5 star general) Dwight Eisenhower warned against the military industrial complex. Today's Republicans should heed IKE's words. He knew the mess we would have. Making armaments for the sake of it may make us feel good and macho and all that stuff but when your smaller military is already capable of blowing the planet apart why would we want more? We don't need to show others our strength, they aready know. The thing is battle ships are not very useful in fighting Muslim terrorists in Kandahar or in Pakistan.

The bottom line is that the entertainment world endorsements don't amount to a hill of beans. We do not need actor-in-chief; singer-in-chief. That's what we have now. We currently do not have a commander-in-chief; a genuine leader but that will soon be corrected -- Romney/Ryan 2012.

I don't think any celebrity's opinion would really garner someone's vote. It's the recognition factor that gets the attention to convey a campaign message. Face it, Morgan Freeman has a very distinctive voice and it's hard to turn away from listening. Same thing with the Move-On ad on women's rights - anybody could stand in front of a camera and read a script, but when you get a glimpse of Johansson and Longoria, you just take notice.

The republicans even voted against jobs for our returning veterans but they have a plan for more wars to create more veterans they can deny care when the republicans get through using them.

tony - as is the Romney camp. Your point? Both party's are out looking for each and every voter.

However, the Democrats want each voter to be counted whereas the Republican Party wants to suppress as many voters who aren't voting for Mitt as possible. Voter fraud has been proved in less than .0001% yet the GOP would disenfranchise older voters who don't drive and don't have a need for a voter ID. How desperate - how pathetic!

Oh, and sorry to disappoint you - I'm a registered Independent. Have voted both parties but I'm proud to say I haven't pulled a lever for a Republican in a long time - not since they became radical.

These "out of touch celebrities" are willing to increase their own taxes for a better America for us all.

Tell me is Romney willing to have his taxes increased for a better America for us all? I didn't think so, I believe he signed the Norquist pledge to kill America for the rich and their tax cuts just like Ryan did.

Which one do you think cares more for America?

Joanne - have you noticed how the Hollywood left (the Majority) is so prejudice against those that do not have their Liberal ideas, but yet when it comes to making money they will portrait conservative roles.

Ursula and Da noid, you both most be retired or semi retired and so sucessfull that you have to post on this site most of your time.

This is my first post today. I'm on my brake now and soon most go back to my office.

I heard that we will have another surprise tomorrow. The polls are beginning to look good for Romney\Ryan and tonight I volunteer to place signs for the Romney Campaign.

lisa---but Mitt Romney says that anyone who pays more taxes than he should isn't fit to be in office (except for the party where he voluntarily paid more taxes in 2011 by not claiming charitable deductions in order to keep his effective rate higher than it would truly be). Why should celebrities be any different?

I'd still say Bon Jovi is a celebrity that stands as a role model. I know you righties hate it when people help the poor but some of us admire that!

Lisa, I certainly do not consider celebrities "role models" but I do believe their role in political advertising is a savvy marketing technique. As I said in an earlier post, they're "attention getters" and if you can get someone's attention, you might be able to get your point across.

            JoAnn....

Celebrities are business people..... Show business people who have worked hard to achieve what they have earned. As successful business people they have opinions that are just as valuable as those business people that come from, say, the Venture Capital segment of business.

To my way of thinking, if any business person is more qualified to speak for the middle class than another business person I would suggest that it would be the show business person. Actors, directors, writers, producers (show business people) earn their money by imitating life through their art. Those artist that are unable to make a connection or empathize with those that make up their audience do not last long in the business.

            lisa s -

So if we're talking New Jersey, which is worse - Bon Jovi's bees, or Republican Congressman Jon Runyan's miniature donkeys?

"The miniature donkeys that graze at the Mount Laurel homestead of U.S. Rep.
Jon Runyan became political fodder as soon as the former Eagles tackle announced his candidacy in 2009. Under a New Jersey law designed to protect farmers from soaring property taxes, Runyan receives a 98 percent tax break on most of his land because he keeps donkeys and sells firewood.

Democrats attacked Runyan, whose median net worth is estimated at $7 million,
for taking advantage of a farm program to avoid paying the full tax rate on 20
            of his 23 acres."

"This year, Runyan paid $61,627.28 in property taxes on the three acres that
include his house. For the remaining 20 acres, he paid $123.80."

            http://articles.philly.com/2011-12-06/news/30481936_1_property-taxes-farmland-assessment-farm-subsidies

And before you answer, I'll go with this guy:

"Josh Schwerin, a spokesman for the Democratic Congressional Campaign
Committee, said that just because the tax break is legal doesn't make it
            right.

Joann, I know about John Runyon being another farmer. All you need to be a farmer in N.J. is 5 acres and to make $500 in sales. Seeking Sanity I actually did look it up just to make sure. I just don't look to celebrity's to form a political opinion.

Okay, totally not on topic but I want to say how sad I am at the passing of Arlen Specter. Although I did not always agree with him on issues, he proved he had the country's best interests at heart.

His movement from the Republican party - because they had become too radical - even though he knew it could impact his chances for re-election, showed he truly took his job seriously and that he cared dearly for the country.

His passing is troubling as politicians of his character, on the right, are becoming few and far between. His true belief in right and wrong showed in his political stances and his integrity could not be faulted.

                  RIP Senator Specter.

Seeking Sanity---Pennsylvania used to have a tradition of moderate Republican Senators--like Hugh Scott, John Heinz and Arlen Specter. Who started the end of that---Rick Santorum. Pat Toomey defeated Joe Sestak last year and this year a Tea Party candidate is running against Bob Casey (who is moderate as a Democrat but that doesn't stop the GOP from distorting his record in their ads). A sad state of affairs.

I went on the internet to look for myself. I found 32 Bills on jobs for Americans to work. I was shocked of what I seen! Every senator, representative and this is now they voted. Every Republican voted NO and every Democratic YES. Unemployment would be at 4.3% if the Republican voted yes to all the bills Please don’t take my word and look for your self like I did. No one ever asked to see mitt romney's birth certificate why?

Maybe it was made in Mexico.

Mitt Romney refuses to release his tax returns from the years prior to 2010. WHY?

Why is mitt romney getting away with Illegal Campaign Donations from China?

                    Goldman Sachs $891,140

                    Bank of America $668,139

                    Credit Suisse Group $554,066

                    Citigroup Inc $418,263

                    Wells Fargo $414,750

                    Barclays $403,800

                    Kirkland & Ellis $393,667

                    Deloitte LLP $355,390

                    HIG Capital $338,000

                    PricewaterhouseCoopers $333,600

                    Blackstone Group $308,725

                    UBS AG $308,130

                    Elliott Management $281,175

                    Bain Capital $268,470

                    EMC Corp $257,250

                    General Electric $214,450

                    Ernst & Young $213,525

                    Sullivan & Cromwell $197,150

Why is it that every time Romney gets caught doing illegal things fox news comes up with a bullsit story about Obama doing it? Obama shows all Real campaign donations. I have been out of work for over a year now and gave $50 in a money order. People like Romney who make millions each year will a lot more if Romney and the kid get into office and the everyday American will really be getting it up the butt.

One last thing, why did the Republican Party said NO to all 32 bills that would make American jobs?

Why because if all the bills were passed, unemployment would be right now at around 4.3% and it's not the first time the Republican Party has done this. Look it up yourself. Please don't take my word. Open congress or open government. If you like a good job then do not vote for the republicans.

I like calling this party for what it is. THE REPUBLICAN TERRORISTS PARTY!

If celebs want to perform in great honest intellectual movies (or make songs with more than propaganda in them) instead of adult cartoons and lies about life and science, they better hope for dem wins in all races. There are many truths coming out from great book writers who now have access to information with the Freedom of Information Act that Clinton passed in the 90's, you can bet Oliver Stone and/or others like him are warming up in the bullpen on old conspiracies for more movies like the 70's start - Three Days of the Condor, All the President's Men....

Since Obama hasn't raised taxes on the rich the celebs are safe. The middle class isn't. Obama has already raised middle class taxes through the back door through cap and trade and other regulatory fees being passed on to who else?? the middle class.

January 2013 The new Obamacare taxes start. $1,700 dollars a year for every middle class family. Obama will let the Bush Tax cuts expire and that will add another $3,500 dollars a year.

OK middle class you've been warned! Vote for Obama. He told you Romney was going to raise your taxes. He forgot to tell you he already has!!

Romney knows that a giant tax hike will destroy whats left of the economy.

He knows how to stop that and will cut out borrowing money to send overseas, minor cuts to the military and eliminate Obamacare.

Obamacare is a grand idea but it's not something America can afford right now.

Anyway the way it's set up all it does is insure billions of dollars in profits for the healthcare insurance companies and actually doesn't guaranty you anything except higher costs.

Obama has no financial experience and what he's done so far is insane.

You can't borrow 60% of the money you spend and survive. Try if you think I'm full of it.

Who was the genius that saved the American automobile industry, stopped the economic fee-fall in three months, produced over 30 consecutive months of positive job numbers, and reduced employment to under 8%?

Who has a tax plan that cannot stand the scrutiny of simple, elementary arithmetic, ran up a big Massachusetts deficit, and lost out to 46 out of 50 states in his promised job creation focus?

This is a real tough decision.

The guy is statistically insignificant. Over 92% of employable Americans are working. Ever see a well-to-do doorman? The uniform does not even belong to him. He vacations at home in a bathrobe.

Pretty001 .... I think I just threw up a little in my mouth? You don't have sex before marriage? I live in Utah and am VERY well aware of the out of wedlock birthrate to MORMONS! Utah has the number one use of anti-anxiety meds and probably one of the highest rates of porn addicts. If you were TRYING to make a point otherwise, I'd suggest you learn to post!

Too bad Mittens wants to cut funding to teachers. Looks like you could have definitely used one!

That was some funny stuff. Have fun sailing in your boot!

Im for Mitt and dont agree with a lot of the nonsense from the left but I definitely dont agree with Pretty001. Im testing the waters to see how hot or cold they are thats for dam sure. I aint say'n its right or wrong and each to his/her own but I aint going to stay with someone fore ever that does not satisfy me. You get married to a person that satisfies you in every way. So you need to know them inside and out.

Sounds like this ho' is really part of the super-rich group; why is she pretending to be for Obama. She backed that disgusting weasel Anthony Wiener .... that's enough to make someone think twice regarding taking HER advice !!!!!

Yes Obama, you have a real "honorable " bunch of supporters that you can be proud of! Most of these women supporters are sex crazed bimbos, that thrive in overnight marriages, just to fulfill their needs. I do not believe that the taxpayers, should have to pay for their birth contron, and morning after pills! Obama, you are a failure to your family, and this country!. Us Veterans did not serve in the military, just so some dumba*s could run it down. Go back to the VIEW, and discuss nail polish, , perfume. Feminine gell flavors., it seems that this is the only thing that you can do!

Oh really!!! Well, I refuse to have some Redneck Republican, flip floppin', snob tell me what I can and cannot do with my body! I am proud to ne Pro-Choice. There isn't a man out there that can ever know the pain a woman has to deal with when it comes to her body with many things. There is no man that can honestly say he knows what it feels like to have to make a hard choice regarding a baby and there are many women that HAVE to take Birth Control because it would be dangerous for them to become pregnant. In addition, if there is any doubt of the respect this President has concerning our military, I think you had better step back and read about what Michelle Obama has been doing to help our Military personnel. She and Jill Biden have been instrumental in assuring our Vets have the medical care they need and the President has initiated tax credits to businesses that hire Vets. He kept his promise about bringing our troops home. He ended that Afghanistan war that Dubya so freely got us into.

For your information, the schools cannot hand out aspirin, or cough drops, but This worthless Obama says they can hand out these birth control pills? Where he came from ,i guess, is that if a girl 12 years old is not married , and has no kids , she must be a "old maid" Is This really something that you think the democrats should be proud of. YOU ARE AS SICK AS HE IS!

Jeez, the disrespect just never ends, does it? Redneck Republicans and their agenda for this country are dangerous. Redneck Republicans have aklways been warmongers, screaming at the top of their lungs about how Military is weakened by Democrats which is just plain BS anyway. This President has had to overcome Obstructionism at the highest level and still prevailed in many things. You Redneck Republican supporters think the ones you support are lily white clean and perfect when they aren't and you all know it. Robme has flip flopped on so many things he reminds me of a goldfish out water and Ryan the Lyin' Wonderidiot is just following along like the puppy he is. I have to agree that these people have told somany lies they believe them all because they have heard them so many times and I love how they try to explain them away when they hear their own voices telling the lies again and again. God, you make me sick! Everything Obama does is wrong in your eyes, yet if a Redneck Republican did the same thing, he would be praised to the point of a statue being carved for him.

No one wants to talk about what the GOP/RNC "Speculator and Chief" is helping to do in Freeport Illinois for Bain Capital. The GOP/RNC "Bain Trained Speculator" is going to get 8 Million in "Pure Profit by sending American Jobs to China. The GOP/RNC "Romulian" gae the 'thumbs-up" to put up the Chinese Flag over the Sensata Technologies Plant. Has anyone thought about our fellow citizens in Freeport Illinois.? Start reading and thinking about this situation very closely in Freeport Illinois America. This is a good look into the real economic policies of the not just the GOP/RNC "Speculator and Chief," but also the views of little "Richie Rich" Ryan. That is fact!

                                        Relationship With Ponzi Scheme–Linked Firm

The private equity firm run by Tagg Romney—Mitt’s eldest son, who is now taking a leadership role in guiding his father’s presidential campaign—misled reporters last year about its involvement with a company run by men accused of taking part in a multibillion-dollar Ponzi scheme.

Last year, I reported that Tagg had formed a business partnership with several North Carolina investors who are still facing a lawsuit for receiving bonus pay for selling CDs as part of the $8 billion Stanford Financial Group Ponzi scheme.

He at least knows that it will take more that 4 years to clean up the mess made by the Redneck Republicans that used to occupy the White House!
