Vice President Joe Biden is “fired up and ready to go” for the debate with Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan, Obama campaign spokeswoman Jen Psaki said Thursday.
Traveling with reporters to Miami for President Barack Obama’s campaign events, Psaki said the president and campaign has “great confidence in the vice president’s performance.”
She added later that the president called Biden on Air Force One during the flight to wish him luck tonight.
Psaki pushed back, however, on the notion, that it’s up to Biden to blunt the momentum Mitt Romney built up after his performance in last week’s presidential debate, from which he emerged, by most accounts, the winner.
Indicating, perhaps, Biden’s line of attack against Ryan, she said the real question was “which Paul Ryan will show up this evening,” saying he has a tendency to be misleading about his positions on Medicare and tax cuts. But she also noted that, as the opponents will be sitting down, the debate will likely be "more of a conversation" than the first presidential debate, which featured both candidates sparring from podiums at opposite sides of the stage.
At the president's campaign event later in Miami, Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson was much more bullish when previewing the vice president's debate performance, saying he would make "mincemeat" of Ryan Thursday night.

My 'sig. other' is a Republican who gets the most obnoxious, inflammatory emails from his friends, then he turns to me and says, 'See?' I ask if he fact-checked any of them. No, but this guy says he checked it out so it must be true. (You can't lie on the internet!) I check them out, find they are ridiculously false, show him, and it's on to more the next day, which he totally buys all over again, without checking. This explains the 'fact' that Romney 'won' the debate last week and why his numbers are rising. I predict Ryan 'wins' in a similar way tonite, thanks to low-information voters.
What I have seen with some of the more popular fact checkers like Politifact is they will report in favor of Obama. Example the day after the DNC ended ALL the media outlets were talking about Obama and his incorrect facts and nothing was reported on Politifact --- anyone have a non partision site? or is this also media controlled?
Unfortunately Biden keeps interrupting Ryan and not giving him a chance to talk. Whether you are for biden or not- it's pretty rude. Also, when Biden was trying to make the sticking point about american families not getting tax credits for their college age children with the Romney/Ryan plan- he forgot to mention that Obama wants to push through the Dream ACt which gives children of illegal immigrants free college?? Hmm- which plan is worse??? Not to mention, I don't know who Obamacare is helping? But it's not helping my mom or her friends who are all senior citizens, it's not helping me or my family who are lower-middle class. Actually, my health care has gotten so bad in the past 3 years, I might need to look at State Aid. It's both sides who are sending through BS ads and smear campaigns-not just Republicans. It's actually sad on all accounts.

Watching the debate and as expected Joe is a Buffoon. I don't know what he thinks is so funny. I think the middle east issues are serious and that seems to be the problem. They think it's all just so funny. Amateur hour in Washington. Could you imagine Joe as president. That is a frightening thought.
Interesting that Biden jumped on the fact that Romney made comments about the killing of our Ambassador back in Sept. without having all the facts first. Didn't Obama jump to conclusions and make negative comments when the incident between the policeman and the professor occurred in Mass. a few years ago?? Obama even said "I don't know all the facts" yet he still went on to degrade the policeman BEFORE he knew what happened. SO Joe, if Romney shouldn't comment before knowing all the facts, neither should Obama!! Especially since "Innocent until proven guilty' is the basis of our Judicial system and he just threw that out and pronounced the policeman guilty without any proof!

As far as 'grinning stupidly' the argument could be made that they are BOTH doing that!! It's hard to make an informed decision when one person is monopolizing the conversation and the other person is trying to be gracious. As I'm watching the VP debate, I'm amazed when Martha is asking serious questions about Libyan and Biden is shown laughing. What is his problem? The families of those who died don't think this is a laughing matter. Also Biden is interrupting constantly. Biden is DUMB.
He's laughing because Ryan can't keep his stories straight and continues his lies. Ryan is a joke, a complete joke.

Whether you like Biden or Ryan, you have to admit that Ryan is much more 'gentlemanly' in this debate. Biden keeps talking over him, interrupting him and not giving him a chance to finish a sentence. Could it be he's afraid that Ryan could actually explain the plans he and Romney have and once people understand them they could make an informed decision???
