2012: Romney leads in Gallup, Obama leads in OH

Latest polls: Gallup switched its tracking poll to likely voters and now has Romney leading 49-47%. Among registered voters, Obama leads 49-46%.

In the states: OH: CNN/ORC has Obama up 51-47% among likely voters and up 53-43% among registered voters; NH: WMUR/University of New Hampshire has Obama up 47-41%, but Obama lead has shrunk from 15 points in the poll 10 days ago; PA: Siena has Obama up 43-40%.

The pollster for Suffolk doesn’t believe President Obama can win Florida, North Carolina, and Virginia, so he won’t be doing any more polling there. Hmmmm…..

“The shift will ‘wipe out’ the 5-point advantage for President Barack Obama among registered voters, according to USA Today Washington Bureau Chief Susan Page, because ‘Republicans are more energized and more likely to actually go and vote,’” Mark Blumenthal writes.

“So much for Mitt Romney's plans to compete for Democratic-trending Michigan or Pennsylvania. And what about President Barack Obama's early hopes of fighting it out for Republican-tilting Arizona, Georgia or Texas? Forget them,” AP writes. “The presidential battleground map is as compact as it's been in decades, with just nine states seeing the bulk of candidate visits, campaign ads and get-out-the-vote efforts in the hunt for the 270 Electoral College votes needed for victory. That means just a fraction of Americans will determine the outcome of the race for the White House.”

Downballot: In Massachusetts, Scott Brown leads in a WBUR poll 48-45%. Warren had led narrowly in a Western New England poll earlier in the week.

“The National Republican Senatorial Committee criticized Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) today after a report found companies connected to her family received almost $40 million from the federal government,” Roll Call writes. “NRSC Executive Director Rob Jesmer weighed in with the first lengthy criticism of McCaskill from the national party structure since NRSC Chairman John Cornyn (Texas) effectively called the race a bad investment in an interview with the Louisville Courier-Journal.”

But: “The story underscores the problem facing national Republicans. They think McCaskill can be defeated, but the problematic Senate campaign of GOP Rep. Todd Akin has left them on the sidelines. Jesmer did not mention Akin in his statement against McCaskill.”

The story is false about the $40 million dollars. I is another one of those lies like Romney's that the republicans keep telling.

These polls are unbelievable... One day there up the next day there down... One day the women voters are 60/40 in favor of president Obama, and in one day president Obama and Romney are tied with women voters 50/50...

I'm sorry, but I just don't buy it....

I don't know of anyone that has said today it's Obama and then after the first debate said it's Romney...

"'Da Nile" is a river in Egypt .... you guys are in "DENIAL". Mitt Romney "mopped the floor" with the "Sham-Wow" salesman Obama in the first debate and 67 million Americans watched that debate !

Romney looked strong, credible and prepared. Obama was weak, unconvincing and ill-prepared. A live debate with no "filtering" by the media left Obama exposed ! Without his teleprompter of talking points, Obama looked lost.

The new polls merely reflect Obama's colossal failure to appear "Presidential".

Interestingly those hypocrites who, just a week or so ago, were saying that those polls are skewed in favor of Democrats, and that they were untrue are now touting them as accurate and true. What happened? Did the pollsters all of a sudden change their polling methods, the population polled or is it that when polls favor them the hypocrites are into polls and when the polls are against them they are skewed? Hypocrisy is alive and well.

l asked the same question, Republicans believe that which favors them, just like robots they troop the route they are programed to traverse. I am so upset with big Ed Shulze and Chris Mathew, they both gave away the barn. They were the fodder for the lying Republicans to validate Romney so called big win. how on earth can you lie, what paradigm can a lie be a measure for the of truth and positive validation of an event? If Ed and Mathew insisted that night that even though Romney was smooth but that all he dished out were mere fairy tales, the outcome may not have been this devastating to say the least. Their requiem was lame and late. The deed was already done. Showing Mathew in right wing media looking like Howard Dean the night he lost Iowa to Kerry seal the deal for lying Romney. The GOP will never accept defeat in such a situation that none of the participants made a bo boo. It is incredible that big Ed and Mathew spoilt Obama show unwittingly.

I like Romney, and Obama seems to be dividing our country like no other president ever has since the Civil War.

This economy is a bust, people are still out of work 4 years later, and there has been no end to the wars and so much else that he promised.

Frankly, he seems to be against everything I am for, and for everything I am against.

Guess who I'm voting for ? I'm pulling a straight Republican ticket for the first time in my life this election. Most people I know are doing the same; many of them for the first time as well.

As much as I want a viable 3rd party or more, I want America to go in a new direction, Not the wars and broken economy Obama has left us with.

I wish he had to live like the rest of us.

Flamethrower, I'm with you. I'm 67 years old, started voting in 1966, when you had to be 21 years old, and I've been voting straight democratic practically all my life. This time I'm voting straight republican too - for the first time in my life. I've had it with these phony democrats. They're not progressive at all. Obama's 2% tax credits are short changing social security, he's cut $716 billion out of the budget from Medicare to pay for Obamacare, and he continues the wars in the Middle East, while Americans can't find jobs and keep losing unemployment benefits. The democrats are just playing a game with us. They pretend to be different than the republicans, but they're doing the same thing, just a little bit slower. Here's a quote from the great Harry Truman about these phony democrats who act like republicans:

"If the American people are given a choice between a republican and a democrat who acts like a republican, they'll vote for the republican"

Harry Truman's point was - nobody likes a phony, and that's exactly what the democratic party has become.

With Willard Romney hiding so much about his life and dealings, many people are left to wonder if Willard is covering up sinister or criminal activity. Let's keep the investigation going on Willard Romney, and expose him for what he is, A LYING, TAX CHEATING, OUTSOURCING TRAITOR TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!!!

Ha hiding his life. He will release tax info when obama releases college records. Traitor is someone who claimed to be born in another country to get college aide and many other benefits only to try and cover it up when running for an election. Traitor is a man who is taking foreign donations illegally to help his racist cause. Job1 face it, your on the losing side with carter2. And since you want to talk tax cheats..look no further than 20% of obamas appointments including Tresuary Sec. Or barney frank or many other dems. You talk all this shat but yet you love the kennedys whose money puts romneys to shame. You voted for kerry and he had more $ than romney, so quit being a hypocrite

Perhaps when a white man who served as President of the United States releases his student records, perhaps the first black President in history will release his. The Presidents college records have nothing to do with the President ability to be President. However, Willard's tax lies and deceit on his record is important as to Romney ability to serve.

I don't blame the President him for not showing transcripts because he most likely took a course or two that the half-wits would accuse him of being un-American over.

We have to remember it is rare that this Nation has ever had a successful business man serve as President. Look at the records of business men such Herbert Hoover and George W. Bush that were big failures, which crippled the Nation.

So, the bottom line is Willard had better start giving us the truth and stop the lies.

"Romney's emotional story remembered very differently by friend of fallen SEAL"

"On the stump in Iowa Tuesday, Mitt Romney revealed that he met former Navy SEAL Glen Doherty at a holiday party some years ago. Doherty is one of four Americans killed during the September 11th attack on the American consulate in Benghazi.

Romney's story started out lighthearted, as he recounted how he and Ann mistook a holiday gathering across the street for their neighborhood party, and he ended up talking to Doherty. "He skied in some of the places I had. We had a lot of things in common," Romney said of Doherty. Both men are from Massachusetts.

"He told me that he keeps going back to the Middle East. He cares very deeply about the people there. He served in the military there, went back from time to time to offer security services and so forth to people there. You can imagine how I felt when I found out that he was one of the two former Navy SEALS killed in Benghazi on September 11th."Romney was visibly emotional during the story, and the video of the speech was repeated throughout the day on network and cable news.

But one of Glen Doherty's best friends remembered Doherty's impression of this meeting much differently.

Elf Ellefsen met Glen Doherty skiing in Utah when he was 19, and the two men remained friends for more than 20 years.

"A guy living life wise beyond his years. Always trying to be progressive as well as do the right thing. Always challenging himself to his greatest ability," Ellefsen remembered.

He last saw Doherty a week before the final mission to Libya. "I stayed in his house (in California), we paddled out in the ocean together, spent some good quality time."

Ellefsen said Doherty recalled meeting Mitt Romney years ago, but the account was much different from what the Presidential candidate retold in Iowa.

According to Ellefsen, Romney introduced himself to Doherty four separate times during the gathering.

"He said it was very comical," Ellefsen said, "Mitt Romney approached him ultimately four times, using this private gathering as a political venture to further his image. He kept introducing himself as Mitt Romney, a political figure. The same introduction, the same opening line. Glen believed it to be very insincere and stale."

Ellefsen said Doherty remembered Romney as robotic.

"He said it was pathetic and comical to have the same person come up to you within only a half hour, have this person reintroduce himself to you, having absolutely no idea whatsoever that he just did this 20 minutes ago, and did not even recognize Glen's face."

Ellefsen described Glen Doherty as a humble, non-political guy, and said it was ironic for him to be used during a presidential campaign.

"Whether it be Republican, Democrat, Green Party, Libertarian, it doesn't make a difference. Because this guy is using our great friend, our humble, and honorable great friend...who is truly larger than life...He has become part of the soapbox routine for politics in a presidential race."

Ellefsen said he understands why people would want to link themselves with Doherty. "Of all people to tie yourself to for advancement in life, it's not surprising that Romney or anybody else would want to tie themselves to Glen Doherty. Because he was incredible. And I can honestly say beyond a shadow of a doubt, he was the greatest person I have ever met in my life."

I asked Ellefsen what he thought of his friend's story being used on the political stump:

"Honestly it does make me sick. Glen would definitely not approve of it. He probably wouldn't do much about it. He probably wouldn't say a whole lot about it. I think Glen would feel, more than anything, almost embarrassed for Romney. I think he would feel pity for him."

Most of the polls are being manipulated by the Republican Party/Romney in hopes of lessening the enthusiasm of the Democratic base. In the latest Gallup poll, taken right before the debate, Romney had a 6 point lead, 51% to 45%. This was taken right before the debate, and even if you feel, as I do, that Obama came out slightly better in the debate, it's probably not enough to overcome the 6 point deficit. The margin of error is 2%. You can google "gallup poll" to verify my statement. The free ride is over for the almighty Dali Bama.

I voted for Obama in 2008 but he has failed with too many broken promises and his "in your face tactics" in the last debate - I'm embarassed he's president. Quite frankly, Mitt seems like a nice guy with good morals which our country really needs. We're buried in debt, 24 Million unemployed, the majority don't like or want Obamacare, stripping $700 Billion from Medicare to pay for health care for the masses and illegal Mexicans is careless. The seniors have paid in for 40 years only to have their money which was payroll deduction....their medical care will be reduced to pay for illegal Mexicans...this is a gross insult!

And another part is so many people have commented that they thought and hoped a black president would finally unite this country, but the opposite has happened. He's turned out to be a black racist that has deepened the racial divisions in this country. We've gotten worst with him! I can't think of one good thing he has done for this country....he seems so un-American!!

The side of his carriage had the name "Little Lyin Willardo" on it. So when we see the long form of his birth certificate and it says Willardo on it and not Willard, we will know something is wrong.

Isn't it funny, that his new buddy Fox Top Trump never asked lyin Willardo for a copy of it?

What a joke. Less and less of the stupid right wing nuts come out to back lyin Willardo, the Mexican Mormon Moron tax evader and bankrupter and they rave about it. As most people know, the evangelicals consider the mormons an evil anti-christ cult. The mormons have been converting dead jewish people, without their knowledge to become mormons to enhance their religion. They baptise them when they are dead. These sick aholes were caught when they tried to convert Anne Frank to be a mormon. These repuke dunces best bet is to bring back Herman (9Kampf) Cain, the dress slitherer. He can draft Jerry Sandusky for V.P. Who cares what they have done in the past, they are against abortion, that is all that counts.

CAIN/SANDUSKY 2012. The true repuke family values candidates.

Lyin Willardo should not even be running for president. But for a lyin moron, talk is cheap. This clueless moron has no idea how to fix anything. This criminal, repuke bankupts companies and loses jobs. What a joke. The nuts that follow him actually believe that he is going to create 12 million new jobs and these dopes believe him. He does not have to tell them how, that does not matter.

Lyin Willardo is known as the Mexican Mormon Moron for good reason. This complete dunce made himself look even more ignorant than he already is by stating in a campaign clip that if he ever overpaid his taxes, he does not deserve to be your president. Well this repuke dunce overpaid his 2011 taxes by $3,000 to make it look like he was paying a higher tax rate-which he can recover after the election. He has up to 3 years to refile an amended return. Only a pathetic, psychotic, braindead radical right wing cracked teanut dope will vote for him.

Another problem is that lyin Willardo, the Mexican Mormon Moron had money hidden in Cayman Island and Swiss banks during earlier years. This is where he hid a lot of overseas income that he never reported. Look how long it took his accountants to fudge some kind of return for 2011.

He took advantage of an amenesty deal and probably paid a large fine to avoid going to jail. That is why he will never release more returns. He probably closed out some of these accounts in the last few years when he knew he would be running for the presidency.

Even lyin Willardo's Mexican daddy knew what he would be like when he grew up So he gave him his first name "Willardo" after the large movie rat. He gave him his middle name after an old baseball glove that they found in the family outhouse that was full of shxt. They shortened lyin Willardo's first name to Willard and their last name from Robberos to Romney when they smuggled little lyin Willardo over here from his birthplace in Tijuana.

He is now known by most people as Mitt Robme.

It is amazing how these right wing nuts believe that lyin Willardo, in any way is going to do anything but destroy our country again. He is going to eliminate regulations so that his corporate criminal masters can rob and steal from us once again as they did under Bush Bin Lyin and his criminal gang led by President Cheney.

It was so great to see Candy Crowley catch the lyin Mexican Mormon Moron tax evading draft dodger in a lie. He really looked like the slapped ass he is.

All pathetic, psychotic, braindead right wing radical cracked teanut dopes should listen to your leaders. They warned you about the Mexican Mormon Moron tax evading draft dodger during the primaries when they were able to tell he truth about this moron.

Lyin Willardo, the Mexican Mormon Moron tax evader, bankrupter, draft dodger, job outsourcer and Etch A Sketch Champion may have vision of going back home to Mexico.

All braindead pathetic right wing radical cracked teanuts should listen to your leaders.

Rick the Dick Santarium has brainwashed his followers, the evangelicals and the gay rapist, pedophile catholic priests that lyin' Willardo is a member of an evil cult and is the anti-christ. He also told them that lyin Willardo is the worst person in history to ever run for the presidency, can't be trusted and will destroy our country. Groper Nutquist, the boss of the right wing cracked teanuts and Nut Gingerhead, the criminal lobbyist, totally agreed with the last three assessments.

So most of the evangelical sheep will probably stay home on election day or some may even vote for Obama. They are totally scared to death of lyin Willardo, the Mexican Mormon Moron tax evader, bankrupter, job outsourcer, draft dodger and Etch A Sketch champion.

If this repuke draft dodger ever became president, and war broke out in the middle east, he will be putting his dog on the top of his car and fleeing to his birthplace in Tijuana and hide in one of his 4 grandmammy's (pappy's side only) outhouses.
