LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- With a touch of humor and at one point admonition, President Obama urged supporters at a Los Angeles fundraiser here not to lose enthusiasm for his campaign just because he had one lousy debate performance.
The president kicked off his remarks with an allusion to last Wednesday night that the whole crowd seemed to pick up on. Praising his opening acts at the Nokia Theater here, which included Stevie Wonder, Jon Bon Jovi and Katy Perry, Obama said, “These guys perform flawlessly night after night.”
“I can’t always say the same,” he continued, waiting a beat for comic timing.
And later he reminded his audience that he had some imperfect moments during the last campaign as well.
“Everybody always remembers the victory but they don’t always remember the bumps in the road; things always look good in retrospect.
“But in the middle of it, we were – we made all kinds of mistakes. We goofed up, I goofed up, but the American people carried us forward,” urging his supporters not to forget that they stuck by him even when he hiccupped in 2008 – something he hopes they do over the next 30 days.

Problem is too many "goofs" Mr. Obama. You can't shiit your way through a debate with snappy come backs and whitty comments as if you were on a black sitcom.
i know plenty of people who voted for Obama in the 2008 race, and I asked them after the debate what they thought. They said they werent sure where the positive Obama went and they said unless they saw him reappear in one of the other 2 debates outside of campaign events they wont vote for him.
One of them said, "It looks like Obama got a shellacking".

The new Rassmussen poll has Obama at 47% and Romney at 46%. This after the debate mind you.
Before the debate Rassmussen had Obama at 50% and Romney at 45%.
So things are looking good for Romney by gaining a point, but bad for Obama since he is down by 3 points.
Rasmussen has them tied at 47%.
Obama you not only made mistakes in the debate you have made them for right at 4 years and it is time for you to go on a permanent vacation.Romney will kick your ass again it the next debate and Joe will get his ass handed to him also.
Bama, I agree with you. However, the press will report a " rejuvinated Obama" appeared at the next debate between him and Romney. They'll report that no matter how he performs, guaranteed. The media are blatant pimps for Obama.

One reason Obama lost the debate so badly is because he
showed up ready to debate the guy he has been telling everyone Romney is.
The same Romney that he has always been showed up and put
the lie to a couple hundred million dollars worth of Obama's delusional
negative political ad rants against Romney.
What is depressing is the total lack of understanding of the
economy displayed by Obama and the thought that he might actually win again.
You're not qualified to discuss why fiscal conservatives don't like Obama. I want him out because he leans socialist and isn't competent.
Obama is a socialist. Anyone with an ounce of business sense will know that Romney is the better choice. Obama hasn't ever run a business and doesn't have businessmen as advisors. Academia is fine in college, but out in the real world, I have more confidence in someone who has been there and done that. And let's not forget the increase of $2k you are all talking about has more to do with the expiring tax cuts than Romney's plan. That is all on Congress.
No problem Mr. President, we still got your back all the way to your second term in the white house. Romney will never be president of this country.

Today I had to go to Sears.
As I approached the entrance, I noticed a driver looking for a parking space.
I flagged the driver and pointed out a handicap parking space that was open and available.
The driver looked puzzled, rolled down her window and said,
"I'm not handicapped!"
Well, as you can imagine, my face was red!
"Oh, I'm sorry" I said. "I saw your Obama bumper sticker and just assumed that you suffer from a mental disorder."
She gave me the finger and screamed some nasty names at me.
Boy! Some people don't appreciate it when you're just trying to help them out!
That's all obama is, talk. He's as shallow as a dried up lake.
He blew the debate because he is totally out of touch with the office of the president and he is not qualified to be our president.
How he got elected scares me more than he does!

Obama is a socialist. Anyone with an ounce of business sense will know that Romney is the better choice. Obama has never run a business and hasn't surrounded himself with those who have. I would rather have someone who has been there and done that to lead our country. Obama is just leading us toward socialism with his ridiculous policies. His whole campaign is based on the belief that if you say it loud enough and often enough, then it will become fact. No more Obama - bring back our republic! Vote Romney/Ryan!

The economic disaster you clowns keep referring to was caused by Clinton, Barney Frank, and Chris Dodd (all three got rich off Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae) and all three are dumocrats. Keep riding that jackass until the United States is just another 3rd rate country.

Pointing fingers and spending time on assignment of blame is rather useless at this point.
We have two choices... Obama or Romney.. Since I trust Mitt less, then Obama gets my vote by default. Sounds lame but that is the way it is.
It is worth noting that Obama stepped into the biggest pile of dung ever left by an outgoing President. Yep, that guy named Bush. The new jobs report is up and all Congress has to do is stop doing what their lobbyists tell them to do and do what is right and work together for the good of the USA.
Until lobbyists are outlawed, term limits are in place and a balanced budget become a Constitutional Amendment, the same old crap will continue to repeat itself.

On this we can agree. On the choice of who to vote for, we will have to disagree. Obama said, and I paraphrase"if I can not get it done in three years, I will be a one term president" I think it is time for someone different, Tho Romney was not my first choice, it is a different direction. Again, you and I can agree on these statements, something I have been advocating for over 30 yrs, to apply to all levels of government:

I think obama is starting to see the writing on the wall... he's to be a one termer.
Im hoping they will put a referee in the next 2 debates ..if Obama hangs his head to long they will start counting him out....maybe that will help him hold it up while Romney explains to him how to get things back in order and people to work.
It hasn't been just a lousy debate performance, it's been a lousy four years of failure. Time to take out the trash.

I was a Obama supporter and voted for him last election like many people I work with. Out of 20 people in my building that were for him last time only two are voting for him this time. So it doesnt look good for Obama this time around.

Obama is a terrible leader. Even if his intentions were all great .. as a leader you must be able to convince and lead others who may not have the same goals. He has failed miserably at leading anyone and instead of looking within himself to change ... he wants to point and blame. That is not leading - it's whining.
