LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- With a touch of humor and at one point admonition, President Obama urged supporters at a Los Angeles fundraiser here not to lose enthusiasm for his campaign just because he had one lousy debate performance.
The president kicked off his remarks with an allusion to last Wednesday night that the whole crowd seemed to pick up on. Praising his opening acts at the Nokia Theater here, which included Stevie Wonder, Jon Bon Jovi and Katy Perry, Obama said, “These guys perform flawlessly night after night.”
“I can’t always say the same,” he continued, waiting a beat for comic timing.
And later he reminded his audience that he had some imperfect moments during the last campaign as well.
“Everybody always remembers the victory but they don’t always remember the bumps in the road; things always look good in retrospect.
“But in the middle of it, we were – we made all kinds of mistakes. We goofed up, I goofed up, but the American people carried us forward,” urging his supporters not to forget that they stuck by him even when he hiccupped in 2008 – something he hopes they do over the next 30 days.

I'm an independent voter, what I see is that our great nation has all ready been torn apart in the last four years. I am amazed at the people who still blindly follow president obama.
The only reasons obama has the support he has is obvious, aside from the few socialist seekers, it's the free stuff that obama is giving away, and the empty promises he is making up as he lies to the people who accept his crums of poison cookies.
Democratic hate and fear can hardly be called enthusiasm.
I understand they are handing out free kool-aid at every rally...
Why is it that we always seem to have to get this president to be tougher? Why is it that Democrats cant fight tough as the Republicans do??? I mean, most people KNOW the GOP is responsible for almost all the disasters that we now face, yet they constantly ignore that and keep believing the multitude of lies. I have YET to hear ONE Democrat say publicly that if the last 3 GOP presidents had NOT signed TWENTY deficit riddled budgets and saddle Obama with a $1.3T deficit, we wouldnt HAVE a debt crisis!!! If the the GOP had NOT consistently stymied the economic recovery, as they planned on Jan. 20, 2009, the economy would be doing MUCH better!!I see a LOT of Republicans on TV, lashing away at Democrats but I dont see many Democrats lashing back with blunt facts! NO WONDER our enthusiasm is falling.
After 33 years of right wing disaster after disaster, the American voter is STILL being gullible and stupid! If you arent party of the 1%, the GOP doesnt give a FIG about you!! Yet you plan to help them trransfer more riches to the already wealthy, give corporations free reign to screw us, privatize SS and Medicare and hand over all that money to the people who crashed the economy!! Are you people NUTS?? You STILL buy the propaganda??
Do NOT listen to what ANY Republicans says!!! They LIE! Watch what they DO!!! LOOK at what they've DONE! Look at what they PLAN to do!! Given their history, is THAT what you want???? Then smarten up and think. This version of the GOP has been worshipping at the altar of the moneyed and corporate elite while consistently giving US the finger! If the GOP takes control of this government again, you all deserve what you get!!! So dont come complaining at how bad the Republicans are. Dont respond to polls saying the GOP is garbage after the fact. NOW is the time t act.... NOT after they regain the power to finally destroy this country as we know it with NO business regulation, more tax cuts for the wealthy, no SS and NO Medicare.
So stop your complaining and ACT on N ov 6th!! If not, you'll end up with an administration worse than that of GWB with the burden on the middle and working classes while the rich get richer!!

I certainly hope all the Obama supporters on this blog aren't voting for him because he is black and they are black, but rather they feel he has been a good president. If not, they are guilty of reverse racism. Those of us who work for a living and pay taxes, are tired of the government flushing our money down the toilet. Republicans are not out to change a woman's right ot choose, deny gay rights, or outlaw labor unions. Everyone is going to have to make concessions. We have too many unfunded liabilities. Unions are going to have to make pay and benefit concessions, seniors are going to have to pay more out of pocket and stop going to a doctor for a hang nail, and corporate tax rates will need to be cut.
Obama has failed and wil continue to fail becasue he doesn't understand business and the global economy. He is clueless, arrogant, and nobody wants to work with him.

The Romney/Ryan plan has been tried before but under a different name its called a PYRAMID SCHEME. In a pyramid scheme you make a bunch of promises to broaden the bottom or the base as Romney/Ryan call it and then just when the people at the bottom think there going to see some return on there investment the people at the very top take off with all the profits leaving the people at the bottom with nothing.

Race relations getting worse not better, (like an idiot,, I really hoped for more of a coming together to work on common issues and how we could ALL become better with leadership from our Pres. who was in a unique position to do so... sigh..),,, Americans not liking other Americans just because of how much they earn (or don't earn),,, Americans dead in Libya after asking many times for more security, yet another green job company laying people off or going under after gobbling up loan guarantees ( if the future is so bright for these companies why won't banks loan to them without govt. guarantees like they do for other businesses every day of the year???) Gas prices headed up and up,,, millions of Americans giving up finding work, 1500 to 2000 companies with AHCA (Obamacare) waivers(wait till all the fun begins when the waivers run out some time after the election of course) I could go on about all the great things to get excited about but I'll spare the readers....

It was not an issue of Obama being prepared or not, it was an issue of being out bullied. Robme made repeated statements that he knows are not true as he came off as the NEW Robme. He postured himself as a moderate which we all know he cannot do if he becomes president, his gang of thieves will not allow it.
Here is a solution: let Robme win but run all the Tbaggers and right wing lunatics out of the Congress (you know like the idiot that thinks evolution is a scam and that the earth is really just 9k old). Make the Congress blue and then see if Robme can accomplish his real but undisclosed goal of getting all the money left in the US Treasury into the pockets of his rich friends as he gives it a shot to fix the economy ruined by the last Retardican in office That should be fun, don't you think?
