Obama urges supporters not to lose enthusiasm

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- With a touch of humor and at one point admonition, President Obama urged supporters at a Los Angeles fundraiser here not to lose enthusiasm for his campaign just because he had one lousy debate performance.

The president kicked off his remarks with an allusion to last Wednesday night that the whole crowd seemed to pick up on. Praising his opening acts at the Nokia Theater here, which included Stevie Wonder, Jon Bon Jovi and Katy Perry, Obama said, “These guys perform flawlessly night after night.”

“I can’t always say the same,” he continued, waiting a beat for comic timing.

And later he reminded his audience that he had some imperfect moments during the last campaign as well.

“Everybody always remembers the victory but they don’t always remember the bumps in the road; things always look good in retrospect.

“But in the middle of it, we were – we made all kinds of mistakes. We goofed up, I goofed up, but the American people carried us forward,” urging his supporters not to forget that they stuck by him even when he hiccupped in 2008 – something he hopes they do over the next 30 days.

    Well lets just note:

Reagan, H W Bush and MOST NOTABLY G W Bush drove the financial truck into the CESSPOOL.

President Obama, his Administration and the Democrats in Congress towed the financial truck out of the CESSPOOL, washed it off, rebuilt it and put the financial truck back on the road.

The Republicans in Congress would not allocate any funds to rebuild the financial truck or provide any fuel for the financial truck.

President Obama, his Administration and Democrats in Congress were able to locate minimal funding to pay for the rebuilding of the financial truck and provide fuel for the financial truck. With the financial truck now operational they stopped the Republican Financial Bankruptcy and steered the financial truck up the Republican Great Recession of 2008 MOUNTAIN.

Under the LEADERSHIP of President Obama, his Administration and the Democrats in Congress, without any assistance from the Republicans in Congress, the financial truck has been steadily climbing up the Republican Great Recession Mountain, creating economic progress and creating over 5 million employment opportunities.

If the Republicans in Congress had not OBSTRUCTED, just saying NO, Make Obama a one term president, we could have created another 2 to 5 million more employment opportunities by this time.

You see the Republican agenda was to make most citizens suffer duress, economic hardships, unemployment and greif, with their reasoning that by so doing the citizens would get disgusted and vote them back into office, so the citizens could then endure more inequality, duress, hardship, unemployment and greif.

The common sense, minimum wisdom choice on November 6,2012 is:

    1. Re-elect President Obama and Vice Pres Joe Biden and continue ECONOMIC GROWTH, EQUALITY, HEALTH CARE FOR ALL, A PROUD SAFETY NET, WORLD RESPECT

    2. Elect Romney Ryan for ECONOMIC STAGNATION, NO SAFETY NET and MORE INEQUALITY

Check the deficit whrn Obama went in and check it again on his last year. Not only is he sinking it farther in, he is changing our constitution and taking our rights. You better wake up!

Some folks think getting Bin Laden was an accomplishment, ending the Iraq war horror show, investing in GM, health care reform that has alluded 7 consecutive presidents. What are these liberals thinking?

Just imagine where we'd be if Republicans had decided to help instead of block all progress.

Rick Perry couldn't spit out....."Gov. Romney, were you against that before you were for it, or were you for it before you were against it?" That should fix Romney....toot sweet."

Obama can't do that because he's afraid that Romney will bring out the fact that Obama was vehemently against raising the debt limit and national debt, then raised the debt limit 3 times so he could added over $6 trillion to the national debt in less than 4 years.

You would understand if you knew that when Obama spoke out about raising the debt limits and increasing the national debt, he claimed it was a failure of leadership.

One of the many Obama Master Card Moments is when he got on Nation TV this past April and told the nation that he wanted to pay higher taxes and if he could get his tax reform implemented he would be.

Considering that he pushed for and got the Bush tax cuts to the rich extended rather than implement his tax reform in 2010, one has to wonder if Obama has the ability to change his poor judgement and bad decision making.

This story is telling the American people that he can't.

I am so disgusted with the Democratic party even if they do come up with a decent candidate someday in the future I will probably never vote for them again. They haven't a leg to stand on right now and so all they can do is try to obliterate Mitt Romneys character. These are supposed to be intelligent, decent people and they are acting like animals and little kids. I would expect better from kids than what I see going on here.

I am just appalled at how low these people will go in order to win an election. Hillary would have gotten my vote but she and Bill should have jumped off of this train. These people are disgusting. If they cannot come up with something to say about what they can do for the country then don't say anything else. I dont' want to hear anymore character assinations from them. This is without a doubt an all time low for politics in the United States.

I know that you don't trust me to tell the truth and that's okay, but you do trust the words of the man you support, don't you? For if you don't, you are supporting the wrong person because these Obama words are just as pertinent today as the day they were spoken.

Notice how Obama uses the "Debt" and the perils his has on our economy and our country.

The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies.

And the cost of our debt is one of the fastest growing expenses in the Federal budget. This rising debt is a hidden domestic enemy, robbing our cities and States of critical investments in infrastructure like bridges, ports, and levees; robbing our families and our children of critical investments in education and health care reform; robbing our seniors of the retirement and health security they have counted on.

Every dollar we pay in interest is a dollar that is not going to investment in America’s priorities. Instead,
interest payments are a significant tax on all Americans–a debt tax that Washington doesn’t want to talk
about. If Washington were serious about honest tax relief in this country, we would see an effort to reduce our national debt by returning to responsible fiscal policies.

Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that “the buck stops here. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.

I therefore intend to oppose the effort to increase America’s debt limit.

Sen. Barack Hussein Obama, Jr., (Senate – March 16, 2006)

How much has Obama increased his wealth as president?

Romney understands business people & investors, IF you want to work for anyone, or start your own business, vote Romney. If you want to make Obama & his friends wealthy, vote Obama.

PS you are not on Obama's real friends list, once he has your vote hes done with you.

Mr. President, we have your back. Anyone JUST tuning in to what is the most important election of a lifetime, doesn't deserve to have his or her voice counted, becasue they are part of the problem of this country. Too many Americans vote their emotions, or, in the case of many Repbulicans, they vote for someone simply becasue they have "R" after their names.

Everyone should know and understand that it's easier to keep your car, your body, your home, or just about anything in good working order BEFORE something happens, as opposed to trying to fix it AFTER it happens. This economy will take a hell of a lot longer to repair than it would have had the guy with an R after his name been doing his job in the first place. Those of you complaining about what's wrong, please go back and remember who you voted for 10 years ago, because you're part of the problem too.

Not even Michael Jordan won EVERY game!!!

It is truly sad that we live in a country where such stupid people...sorry,MORONS...would actually change their vote for someone based on a debate performance. Not because of what their candidate STANDS for...or the fact that said person has absolutely NO details on how they are going to implement any of their empty promises...but simply because someone had an off night.

I have to resist the urge throw something at my television every time they show one of these so-called 'undecided' voters...30 days before an election...who suddenly change their mind because someone looks good.

Do us all a favor. If you're going to base a vote for the most important election in the country, with the economy, jobs and international matters hanging in the balance...based on a debate performance...JUST STAY HOME!

Yes. Everything was just fine in January 2009. At least my selective memory says so.

The job losses from the fall of 2008 came from Obama's rise to power, his words & promises.

Business began preparing, cutting back, & seeking cover from his promises.

You don not wait until january 20th to decide what to do.

Just like cutting firewood, you do it way before the winter sets in.

Most undecided voters are just learning what a failure Obama is after hoping that Obama wasn't. Who are you to call them morons.

Only morons support as self proclaimed failure like Obama. Why would anyone support a man who makes this statement taken from an Obama speech recorded in the congressional records.

"Increasing America's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that "the buck stops here. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better."

"Obama urges supporters not to lose enthusiasm"... Enthusiasm for what? Obama has only had failures, is that what we are supposed to be enthused about? He has pushed for bigger government and ignored the private sector(except for criticism), is that what we are supposed to be enthused about??? "The privated sector is doing just fine", does not encourage a lot of enthusiasm.

budget deficits were lower, the National Debt was lower, food and gas prices were lower, less Americans were on welfare and food stamps. there was less division................etc

Here's what the Buffoon did (in case you really don't already know this):

Two wars - both unfunded, never ending disasters.

Medicare part D - Unfunded, driving massive spending deficits LONG into the future.

Tax cuts in 2001 and again in 2003: Entirely unfunded, sold to the American people as being temporary (ten years) and a huge boost in job creation - Neither are true.

All but the Iraq war horror show are still in place, supported whole-heartedly by Republicans to this day. Not very bright.

As the Marines are the presidents own. For the president to send in the Army, Air Force & Navy that takes an act of congress. So before you spew that this is Bush's fault it took those Demorats in congress to get the war going. Just like the houseing fiasco. Look up Obama VS Citibank you will see how that got rolling also. Yet this A$$HOLE in charge and the Liberals try to say it is Bush's fault.
