You've GOT to hide who you are. For example, Romney already is having to run on his history as a sociopath. He start his life as a privileged high school thug mugging a kid that offended him, moved on to playing state cop with daddy's help, pulling over frightened people, then there is the dog incident, and his lifelong career ended the careers and jobs for thousands.

He needs to run away from everything he has "accomplished" 'cause he spent more effort hiding income than actually accomplishing anything of merit. Romney wants to represent the 1% and ensure they own all the assets in an America that operates like the game Monopoly. Ryan hates the poor, the young, the sick, the elderly. The verdict is in: Mitt Romney handily won last night's debate, and did what he needed to do to have a fighting chance at winning the election. But what he didn't do, predictably, was tell the truth.

Romney's debate performance was chock full of lies, recalling his running mate's address to the GOP convention, which was also chock full of lies. Hopefully, just as Ryan's address was dissected and debunked by some media outlets, Romney's claims are as well, so the debate can move to substantive issues instead of stylistic ones.

Here are ten of Romney's fact-challenged claims from last night:

1. An 'Unelected Board' Controlling Your Health Care

Despite President Obama trying to push back on this lie, Romney made this claim a few times last night. Obamacare, according to Romney, "puts in place an unelected board that's going to tell people ultimately what kind of treatments they can have." In reality, as theAssociated Press points out , the board that is tasked with bringing down Medicare costs is prohibited from "rationing care, shifting costs to retirees, restricting benefits or raising the Medicare eligibility age. So the board doesn't have the power to dictate to doctors what treatments they can prescribe." This Romney claim also hearkened back to Sarah Palin's lie that Obamacare created "death panels," which was a straight up lie.

2. A Bipartisan Record

Romney referred to his alleged "bipartisan" record in Massachusetts as governor during the debate. But what's the real story on this? ABC News calls the claim "not quite factual." Indeed: Romney's health care plan was enacted with the help of a Democratic legislature. But in general, the body was "frustrated" with Romney "because he wanted to govern like a 'CEO' and 'didn't pay heed to the legislature and they resented that,'" according to the Massachusetts Taxpayer Foundation's Michael Widmer.

3. Dodd-Frank Labels Banks as 'Too Big to Fail'

One contrast between the candidates that emerged during the debate was over Dodd-Frank, the weak Wall Street reforms and regulations passed after the 2008 financial collapse. Romney wants to repeal Dodd-Frank, and part of the reason why is his claim that the bill designates banks as "too big to fail" and therefore gives them "a blank check." But as ThinkProgress notes, this is far from the truth: "the law merely says that the biggest, systemically risky banks need to abide by more stringent regulations . If those banks fail, they will be unwound by a new process in the Dodd-Frank law that protects taxpayers from having to pony up for a bailout."

4. Obamacare Leads to Loss of Healthcare

Governor Romney claimed that the passage of the Affordable Care Act will lead to 20 million people losing health insurance. He based this claim on a Congressional Budget Office report. But according to PolitiFact, Romney "cherry picked" the CBO report and mislead viewers on why people would "lose" coverage.

PolitiFact's final verdict on the claim is: "That number is cherry-picked, and he's wrong to describe it as only including people who 'like' their coverage, since many of those 20 million will be leaving employer coverage voluntarily for better options. Romney also ignores that under the status quo, many more people today 'lose' coverage than even the highest, cherry-picked CBO estimate. We rate his statement False."

5. The Failure of the Obama Economy

Romney hammered Obama on the economy's performance over the past four years. One claim Romney made was this: "[We have] 23 million people out of work...The proof of that is that 50 percent of college graduates this year can't find work."

But here's the AP breakdown of the facts on this claim: "The number of unemployed is 12.5 million, not 23 million. Romney was also counting 8 million people who are working part time but would like a full-time job and 2.6 million who have stopped looking for work, either because they are discouraged or because they are going back to school or for other reasons."

And on the college graduate claim, Romney was also wrong. Back to the AP: "A Northeastern University analysis for The Associated Press found that a quarter of graduates were probably unemployed and another quarter were underemployed, which means working in jobs that didn't make full use of their skills or experience."

6. Obamacare Cuts Billions From Medicare

This was one of Romney's favorite attack lines last night: the notion that the Affordable Care Act is siphoning off funds from Medicare. The specific claim is that $716 billion was cut from Medicare because of the Affordable Care Act. In reality, this claim is highly misleading. What the number refers to is money that is saved "primarily through reducing over-payments to insurance companies under Medicare Advantage, not payments to beneficiaries. Paul Ryan's budget plankeeps those same cuts , but directs them toward tax cuts for the rich and deficit reduction," ThinkProgress notes.

7. Gas Prices Increase

Romney said that "gasoline prices have doubled under the president. Electric rates are up." This is true--but to blame it on the president is highly misleading. Gasoline prices have little to do with individual policies carried out by a president. Instead, as the Associated Press states, "Gasoline prices are set on financial exchanges around the world and are based on a host of factors, most importantly the price of crude oil used to make gasoline, the amount of finished gasoline ready to be shipped and the capacity of refiners to make enough to meet market demand."

The AP also skewers Romney's claim on electric rates going up: "Retail electricity prices have risen since Obama took office — barely. They've grown by an average of less than 1 percent per year, less than the rate of inflation and slower than the historical growth in electricity prices. The unexpectedly modest rise in electricity prices is because of the plummeting cost of natural gas, which is used to generate electricity."

8. Health Care Costs Rising Under Obama

Romney’s made this statement on the campaign trail--and if it was wrong then, it’s wrong now. Last night, Romney claimed that “health care costs have gone up by $2500 a family.”

But FactCheck.org was on this false claim back when Romney used it on the campaign trail in September. Their take:“Romney says health insurance premiums have gone up $2,500 under Obama. The actual increase has been $1,700, most of which was absorbed by employers and only a small part of which is attributable to the health care law.”

9. Oil and Gas Production Increases Only on Private Land

The former Massachusetts governor said last night that “all of the increase in natural gas and oil has happened on private land...Your Administration has cut the numbers of permit and licenses in half.”

But ABC News says Romney is playing loose with the facts. Data from the Bureau of Land Management shows that “the number of drilling permits on federal lands approved during the fiscal years President Obama has been in office has decreased somewhere between 20 and 37 percent compared to the years before he became president - not the 50 percent Romney claimed.”

10. No Tax Cuts for the Rich

To fend off the perception that he’s only concerned about the wealthy, Romney made sure to emphasize that his economic plan would not lower tax rates on rich people.

Think Progress has the details on that claim: “If Romney were to actually implement his plan to reduce tax rates by 20 percent while eliminating tax deductions in order to pay for it, taxpayers with more than $200,000 would certainly see a tax cut. But everyone else — 95 percent of Americans —will see their taxes increase.”

I usually shun from making predictions but seeing that I do not have a horse in the post season pennant race, I'll walk out on a limb with a baseball analogy. Ryan is a singles hitter and he will hit a number of them whereas Biden is a slugger, he will wiff on some pitches but on others he will knock them out of the park.

Now Obama has a clue who this phony republican is. Now the next debate will have a little more substance.

While this new republican party has some great ideas that all americans could get behind, their leadership is so insecure, they have botched the politics of implementing any of it. Idiots. Truly, republicans leadership are insecure idiots.

As far as President Obama's performance goes, there is no question he should have pushed back harder. There is also no question Mitt Romney stood there and lied to the American people, desperate to re-invent himself.

This morning on Meet The Press, Obama campaign adviser Robert Gibbs confronted Newt Gingrich on a fundamental inconsistency in Romney’s description of his tax plan. During the primary debates, Romney insisted that everyone in America would get a 20% tax cut, including the 1%. But last week’s during his debate with Obama, Romney insisted that his tax cut would not reduce taxes at all for wealthy Americans.

Gingrich acknowledged the clear inconsistency, saying “I think it’s clear he changed.” He described the change as “good politics.”

Of course, while Romney’s spin regarding his plan has changed, the plan itself has not. Independent experts have concluded that, even if Romney eliminated every tax deduction, it still wouldn’t counterbalance his massive tax cuts for the wealthy.

His tax plan was one of 27 issues where Romney was less than honest during the debate. Romney’s campaign also conceded he misstated the truth on green jobs.

Actually Gingrich did not cross party lines. It was during the Republican primaries that Newt called Romney on his lies when they were running against each other. It does say there were some misrepresented facts with some skewing of numbers... but even those numbers skewed have some basis in truth due to other sources out there... Lies? In a surprising move, Fox News joined CNN, The Huffington Post, the Washington Post's Wonkblog, and ThinkProgress in publishing a fact-check of the Republican vice presidential nominee's speech, finding that the speech was full of lies and misleading assertions.

Kohn, who describes herself as a "progressive voice on Fox News," wrote in her Thursday column that though Ryan came off as likable during his speech, his misrepresentations and omissions "caused a much larger problem for himself and his running mate."

In contrast, several Fox News commentators praised Ryan's speech on air after the event, without mentioning his misleading claims, according to Media Matters.

In her column, Kohn called out four lies in Ryan's speech. She critcized Ryan for blaming President Obama for the shutdown of a General Motors plant in Janesville, Wis., that actually was closed during the Bush administration. She also knocked Ryan for pinning the blame for S&P's downgrade of U.S. debt on Obama, when Republicans in Congress helped precipitate the downgrade by threatening to refuse to raise the debt ceiling.

"The good news is that the Romney-Ryan campaign has likely created dozens of new jobs among the legions of additional fact checkers that media outlets are rushing to hire to sift through the mountain of cow dung that flowed from Ryan’s mouth," Kohn wrote.

My father fought WWII. His generation came home and built simply the greatest country on earth. His generation built roads, schools, hospitals, and just about everything else to ensure their children would
succeed. They voted for bonds and paid taxes to build a great nation. Next, my generation came along and elected Reagan and put out our hands asking for money, wanting to pay for nothing. Of course the 300 in tax savings Reagan gave most of us was eaten up in increased Medicare taxes while the rich received billons in tax cuts. Next came Clinton and despite his problems with Congress, he worked with the Republicans to balance the budget. Next came Bush and again the trickle down BS and at a time when we had began to turn a surplus and pay down the 5 trillion debt, our hands went out again to take the money.

It is at exactly this point the youth of America should have got involved and said no. Just like today's youth they did not pay attention and let us take the money. It was estimated at the time it would have taken 10 years to pay off the debt with the surpluses we had. After the Bush tax cuts we started two wars that Congress could not fund because of a promise to Grover Norquist. On top of that we decided we wanted our children to pay for our medicine as well and Plan D was passed. Again, because of a promise to a non elected lobbyist, we could not pay for that either. Republicans were terrified that Grover Norquist would use his funds against them. There have been quite a few good men and women that have lost their primary elections because they did not sign that pledge and instead made their promise to the American people.

Now, once again, a snakeoil salesman is telling us we are over taxed and promises to correct it, without saying how he will pay for it. If our youth let him get away with it again, then shame on them.

Everyone wants to live in this great country, but no one wants to pay for the privilege. At some point it will all just crumble away.

Actually, the outpouring of support for President Obama seems to have increased since the debate. Romney came across as a desperate bully, and who can blame the President for being taken off guard by the GOP Chameleon? More than half the nation was left scratching their heads wondering how any true American with integrity could stand in front of the nation and say things like "I will not cut education" when he has stated all along he was cutting Pell Grants for college students. As a former Republican, I had some respect for Mr. Romney up until the debate. But, any person that would intentionally put his own selfish interests ahead of the best interests of the American people, is unqualified to hold political office.

And btw, why does the GOP say we can't ever bring up George Bush's Administration? Bush and Cheney ruled for eight years. They just left the White House less than four years ago and when they did, they left an economic catastrophe that almost led to global financial collapse.

Why can't we mention Bush? His Administration put us in the dire straits we now have, and the GOP congress has selfishly done NOTHING to help get us out of their own party's colossal damages.

I, for one, plan to mention Bush from this day forward until the election. The Republicans may wish us to forget what the Bush Adminstration did, but only someone with short-term memory loss could forget what happened the last time the GOP was in office.

A vote for Romney is the same thing as a vote for four more years of Bush and Cheney.

If you want to do some homework, look at how Romney governed in Massachsetts.

If Mitt was such a good governor, then why is Obama favored 70-30 in Massachusetts? In 2002, he ran the same compaign for governor, started on the right, became moderate during the election and then reverted back to conservatism once he got in. His only main accomplishment was Romneycare, and that's because the Democrats wanted it and Ted Kennedy secured $385 million a year from the federal government to finance it.

He raised fees by $1 billion dollars, which disproportianately favores the wealthy. And education was already number 1 when he took office. And he wanted to make cuts to education which the dems wouldn't pass. In fact, most of what he wanted was defeated by the dems. His state lost jobs under his tenure and went from 25th to 47th in the nation for jobs creation. And most of the 19 tax cuts he talks about were one-day sales tax holidays.

Remember, here's a Republican who got elected in a heavily Democratic state. And then he flip flopped on his election promises in order to pander to the right to start his presidential bid. He was not able to reach accross the aisle at all, and not much was really accomplished.

It's quite evident that Mitt will say and do whatever is necessary to get elected, and then do whatever suits him best afterward. He is absolutely hated in Massachusetts.

And to Jim Spence - taxing the hell out of the wealthy will start to pay down the deficit. After all, they're the ones who created it (the majority of lawmakers are wealthy) and benefitted the most from it.

And of course, let’s examine those sacrosanct social welfare services you Libbies so cherish because government does a much better job at managing your money than you do. Government auditors spent the past five years examining all federal programs and found that 22 percent of them, costing taxpayers a total of $123 billion annually, fail to show any positive impact on the populations they serve.

Read that last sentence again. 22 percent of federal programs FAIL TO SHOW ANY POSITIVE IMPACT ON THE POPULATIONS THEY SERVE!!!!

Just so you understand this, almost one in four government programs don’t do anything to help the people they’re supposed to. If this doesn’t outrage you, try this.

OK, let's see. The Bush tax-cuts (they're actually the Obama tax-cuts now that he extended them, but I digress) cost $3.7 trillion dollars over 10 years. So, if we eliminate the mean, nasty, rich, fat-cats tax-cuts we'll generate about $850 billion over the next 10 years, or $85 billion a year.

We spend about $10 billion every day, so these taxes will cover about 8.5 days of spending every year. How will we pay for the other 356.5 days?

Now, do you actually believe all the savings from the revenue generated from cutting these tax rates will go to paying down the deficit? I'll wager you a years salary there will NEVER be any legislation demanding that in the budget. Our criminal governemnt will spend it just as quickly as they get it. They always do.

Go back to Constitution 101. A President is responsible for assembling the agency's needs and HIS priorities and putting it into a budget and sending it to congress. It is congress who writes a budget taking into consideration the President's submission.

Now go back through all those years and identify the party of control in the house, Senate, and president. You will find that although a president does affect the spending level, it is really the party control in congress that really makes the spending grow or Shrink.

The worst combinination for Spending is Democrats in control of everything.

The Second worse combination is Democrats in control of Congress with a Republican president.

The best two combiniations are Republicans controlling Congress with either a Republican president or Democrat President.

Congress is the one responsible more so than the president.

Treasury estimates the costs of making the tax cuts permanent for everyone is $3.7 trillion over 10 years.

Of that, $3 trillion accounts for the cost of extending them for the vast majority of Americans, as the president has proposed. The remaining $700 billion is the cost of extending them permanently for the high-income earners.

My $850 billion per year figure includes interest.

I have a little venting to do after watching Meet The Press. This is what Newt Gingrich said, without a trace of irony:

"The reason people are losing respect for Washington is they're losing respect for Washington. It's not some right wing crazy thing."

That's rich coming from the former Speaker of the House who was charged with 84 ethics violations, reprimanded by a vote of 395 to 28, and fined $300,000.00. He is the first Speaker to be disciplined for an ethics violation. Gingrich is one of the poster boys for corruption in government.

Gingrich has little to no credibility, so WHY is he put up as a talking head? Wasn't it enough that we had to listen to that fathead for months during the GOP primary? I'll be glad when the election is over just to shut him up. It's a farce to have him criticize others about their trustworthiness and character.

Advice to the GOP: find some candidates and spokespeople with intelligence, talent and integrity before your party self destructs. We need more than one viewpoint, but reality needs to be factored in.

You where talking about earnings, not wealth. Even then, the only reason they can keep the money they earn is because they are smart. I have a friend who has $60K saved from the navy, anyone can be rich if they are smart about it.

Next, from an article in the Washington Post dated May, 2011:

"When the tax cuts were passed, the nonpartisan Joint Committee on Taxation estimated how much they might reduce revenue: the 2001 tax cuts was pegged at $1.35 trillion over 10 years;
the 2003 tax cut was set at $350 billion over 10 years."

But because of the recession, the tax cuts actually added up to $1.28 trillion.

So, $800 billion over ten years for the top 2% and $400 billion for the rest of Americans.

You’re mixing 2 sets of data. The original $1.35 trillion, or $1.28 trillion whatever you want it to be, was the estimate from 2001. There is no estimate of the cost of the upper taxes paid since then from any source.

The $800 billion that Schumer is talking about is the estimate of what the current extension of the Obama tax cuts would be, which the total as per the Treasury Department is $3.7 trillion from 2013 through 2022.

Maybe you should keep your data in order.

As best I can ascertain, they claim the darker area between the cheeks represent 8% of their asses. If that darker area extends more toward the left cheek the area between the cheeks is too high in dark color, maybe 8.3 % or higher. If same dark area extends more to the right cheek, they claim, It lessens in the middle, therefore, while the inner right cheek has a higher percentage of darker color, in reality, there is really an overall lighter colored total ass, and therefore a more perfect and acceptable ass.
