Energized Obama tries to rebound after Wednesday's debate

President Barack Obama waves as he arrives at a campaign rally in Denver, Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012.

DENVER -- A fired-up President Barack Obama spoke to a crowd of more than 12,000 at a Denver campaign event Thursday and seemed to exude the energy and aggressiveness that many of his supporters felt was missing at last night's presidential debate.

Trying to rebound from what many called a listless performance last night, Obama argued today that the Mitt Romney who appeared at the debate was not the “real Mitt Romney.”

First Read: Romney helps himself

“When I got on stage, I met this very spirited fellow who claimed to be Mitt Romney,” he said. “But it couldn’t have been Mitt Romney, because the real Mitt Romney has been running around the country for the year, promising $5 trillion dollars in tax cuts that favor the wealthy. The fellow on stage last night didn’t seem to know anything about that.”

The president dedicated the first part of his speech to retroactively rebutting Romney’s debate talking points.

President Obama speaks to supporters in Denver, Colo., following the first debate of the 2012 presidential race.

Last night, Romney said his plans to trim the deficit wouldn’t mean teacher cuts: “I reject the idea that I don’t believe in great teachers or more teachers. Every school district, every state should make that decision on their own.”

Romney had the final word on the matter last night, but today Obama told his supporters: “The real Mitt Romney said we don’t need anymore teachers in our classrooms ... But the fellow on stage last night, he loves teachers, can’t get enough of them.”

Last night, Obama also missed an opportunity to highlight his opponent’s personal tax records after Gov. Romney said, “I’ve been in business for 25 years. I have no idea what you’re talking about. I maybe need to get a new accountant ... but the idea that you get a break for shipping jobs overseas is simply not the case."

Today, Mr. Obama fired off this retort: “We know for sure it was not the real Mitt Romney because he seems to be doing just fine with his current accountant.”

President Barack Obama greets supporters during a campaign rally in Denver on Oct. 4, 2012.

And while Romney drew a lot of public criticism for suggesting his deficit reductions would include stripping federal funding for PBS -- and by extension “Big Bird” -- Obama did not challenge him on the point until today: “He said he’d eliminate funding for public television... I mean thank goodness someone is finally getting tough on ‘Big Bird.’ ”

The crowd responded to the president’s jabs with loud cheers, but for many the disappointment from the president’s debate performance had already set in.

Axelrod: 'I'm sure we will make adjustments'

Bruce Shaffer of Boulder told NBC News, “I wanted him to be more of a president and sound strong, sound confident and be more of the leader we need.”

It's hard to debate Gov. Romney when you don't know which one is going to show up at any given time. Will you be debating the moderate former Governor of Massachusetts, the conservative Tea Party firebrand we saw during the GOP primary season or, as turned out to be the case, the champion of the middle class and the working man?

That being said, Obama stunk last night.

Watching MSNBC analyze the debate last night was like watching the Titanic analyze the iceberg!

Time to send this incompetent, pathetic, so-called leader packing back to Chicago!!

Madone,

Another point is it is hard to debate when you have no record to run on. When Romney said the economy is worse this year than last year the President had no rebuttal. On health care he talked about how well a private company Cleveland Clinic was doing and how they were saving money which goes against his arguments.

When Romney said with the $90B you spent on green companies you could have hired 2 million teachers he had no answer.

That said I expect the same fools will vote for Mitt as before. I don't think it was enough to win much. But we'll see. :)

Are you really that ignorant to believe money can be that easily funneled from one completely unrelated government agency to another on a whim?

Oh wait, you're voting for Mitt. Never mind, I answered my question for you. :)

BTW That 90 billion on green energy figure is misleading. The 90 Billion in question is not for green energy only, it is also for the COAL INDUSTRY to develop cleaner coal plants. You know, what Mitt said he was for too. :)

Thing is people who listen to Mitt's lies are too stupid to see past them. Americas only hope is there's less of them than the opposite. Of that I am not sure.

watched Fox News during my lunch, they had a group of "indepenents" who thought Romney won the debate.

a girl said "I really liked that Mitt Romney didnt have any specifics, he's going to go to the White House, sit down with democrats and republicans, and work together on coming up with solutions"...and everyone agreed.

Then a few minutes later, quite a few said "what I really liked about the debate, Mitt Romney had a ton of specifics"

*EPIC FACE PALM

so, uh, how will Mitt Romney work with Democrats, if Democrats pull a republican move and declare "our mission is to make Mitt Romney a 1 term president"?

Obama didnt have much luck getting them to cooperate, explain why Republicans are optimistic that Romney will have luck getting democrats to work with him?

Unless of course, you're going to admit that democrats care more about America than they do themselves, and therefore, wont make that proclaimation and WILL work with the republican president as they have always done.

It would be really refreshing if the American public would listen to the debates for what they are meant to be - an opportunity to listen to both sides. Just by reading 99% of these posts - those that are so loyal to the left or to the right are missing half of the big picture. You are watching with blinders on. Obama won't come out as limp wristed next time. But he is going to have trouble defending his record. See we're not in a golden age and after 4 years Bush still cant be boogeyman in the closet. See Obama continued or expanded a lot of Bush's misgivings. Obama wanted ACA, he thought he'd get it with little resistence. He thought he could get what he wants all the time. The radicals on both sides have trashed this country. I heard about budgets last night and I was surprised Romney didn't mention we as America still dont have one. Kind of important dont you think? We have a tanking economy and no structure (budget) and we talk of cures. I think Obama has a much greater hill to climb in the debates. Romney just has to continue what he did last night.

Laker - the largest part of the stimulus funds (which is where the $90 billion for green energy came from) went to education.

He did invest in education, and additionally in Green Energy.

I'm not going to deny that the investment in these companies was handled poorly, but im sure even Mitt Romney has made a few bad investments in his career. Sometimes, you just cant tell what companies (or people) are going to rip you off.

Of course, Mitt admitted that he offshores work - by stating that he must not have had the right accountant all these years.

I think thats a bigger issue to contend with, because it's central to why our economy is struggling - fewer workers, fewer people in the middle income bracket means fewer people who are customers - and CUSTOMER DRIVE JOB GROWTH.

that has ALWAYS been #1 tennet of econ 101 - businesses hire because they have more customers than their current workforce can handle, not because their rich CEO's got tax breaks.

Obama's job last night was not to produce any gaffes and he succeeded. Romney needed to do well, and he did, only because he came in as a brand new candidate.

There is no way in hell Romney can permanently extend Bush era cuts, plus drop taxes an additional 20% and remain revenue neutral. He intends to cut mortgage interest and education tax deductions across all tax rates. There is no other way he can pay for it. We also don't need 2 trillion in new military spending.

Yet he had nothing, right?

Instead he let Mitt interrupt and move the debate from the question asked.

Gosh, so your are agreeing Romney was in control, more effective? Isn't that what we want in a president? Or did you want Romney to lead from behind?

Obama got 4 1/2 minutes more than Romney .... maybe it was sympathy gesture since Obama looked so pathetic.

Of course Mitt never really got into specifics, he never will.

Romney explained the role of a chief executive, how to lead .... still over your head? No biggie ... it's over Obama's head too.

About specifics though, Romney isn't even elected, he isn't putting forth actual legislation (candidates kinda can't do that) .... and Obama and you guys whine about specifics - this coming from the party that passed actual legislation and said we have to pass it so we can find out what's in it while the "specifics" are still being written 3 years later!

But Obama F'ed up big time not putting on the gloves and going rounds with Mitt.

According to the main stream media, this debate was supposed to be an easy victory for Obama. To accuse Romney the "day-after-the-debate" of being someone else on stage and also misspeaking facts is really poor character. Obama had the opportuntity to refute any facts that Romney spoke of; instead, he stood there, stumbled over his words, and was just a general embarrassment to his title and party. Obama can not speak without a teleprompter!

Thus you have Obama out on the road again today vomiting out more diatribe towards the Romney camp because you have "nothing" else on your record to speak about!

How embarrassing for the President!

It is time for Obama to leave the confines of White House and take the fight to the enemy and a man who may be the next President. It is time for him to dispense with the fiction that a Black Man with passion is only... angry. It is time for him to dispense with the lie that being liked is somehow more desirable, elevated above and held in a higher regard by the American People then being perceived as strong. It is time for him to be more a President and leader then merely being presidential!

I learned fear last night! What we had, was a President who appeared to be not at all committed to a Second Term! This man had no fight, no passion and seemingly no plan-of-attack for his Party, the American people and yes... for me!
In my memory there has been no Republican candidate... so easy for the taking! Romney is a pathological panderer, serial flip flopper, ardent tax dodger and is so incapable of doing even the simplest of math that a 6 year old could bring him to task... throw in the Ryan Plan and it should have been a slaughter.

Does the President watch CNN, MSNBC, Current? Does he read Progressive blogs? Has he ever seen Rachel Maddow, Lawrence O'Donnell, Chris Mathews or Ed Schultz? Is he even remotely aware of all the proverbial ammunition, razor sharp facts, glaring contrasts, big truths and poison arrows he has at his behest?

His less then lackluster performance may have put us all on a path to a Corporatist Supreme Court, the end of the New Deal and the elimination of every last vestige of a Middle Class! What happened was historic and may have put our Nation on a path away from one that would have been to the betterment of us all and not just a very few.

What does Romney consider a crowd again - 1,000?

Honest people who actually have a clue know Romney did nothing but lie last night. That will come out.

Plus, just give him a few days - he'll do something else stupid - just wait and see. Old Mitt just can't help himself!

bscol - I disagree, I think if you arent sure who you want to vote for - then absolutely listen to both candidates with as wide open of a mind as possible.

However, the only way you can truly be "undecided" at this point is if you havent been paying attention, researching the candidates positions and listening to what they've been saying for the past 18 months.

The divide between the two parties and their platforms is quite large...so figuring out which party "speaks" to you shouldnt be hard.

If neither speaks to you, and there appears to be quite a few "independents and moderates" who claim this to be true - START A 3RD PARTY.

A 3rd Party that takes the best of both political worlds and makes them work, would be a surefire bet - but lo and behold, it has yet to ever materialize. I think thats true, because ultimately, there's no real way to bridge the divide, to bring both halves of our nation together, and agree on 90% of what can be agreed on so long as that 10% is always going to break the deal.

I hope he does, because half of them will be republicans and when they realize THEY are paying more so that millioniares and billionaires can get a 20% tax cut on their capital gains, Mitt wont seem like the saviour anymore.

For a year, he has been pandering to the Tea-baggers for votes only to tell them to "kiss his ass" with his flip to the center. Oh well, life is tough when you're an Etch-a-Sketch.....

Even when HE is unprepared Obama STILL has to blame someone else? Really? The excuse for Obama doing so badly last night was because the REAL Mitt Romney didn't show up? It couldn't be because Obama was not prepared? It couldn't be because he couldn't use a teleprompter? It couldn't be because it is his anniversary and was distracted? The reason is because the REAL Mitt Romney didn't show up?

I could at least have a SMALL level of respect for Obama if he simply said today to his supporters "I'm sorry - I thought I was prepared last night but found out I wasn't. I will work twice as hard to make sure I don't disappoint you again". At least if he did THAT he would show himself as humbled AND take responsibility.

But when this man has not taken responsibility for ANYTHING in his life, let alone any responsibilities for his failures over the last 4 years, why would anybody expect him to start now?

Letting Romney use faulty math. that just doesn't add up is bad. Letting Romney change his stands on several issues and flip-flop again without questioning why is really bad. Enjoy your moment. Fact checkers will have you spewing anger shortly. That a man running for President can shift his positions so easily should concern everyone. That Romney shakes his etch-a-sketch so skillfully should make all of us wonder "Who is this guy?" Where does he stand on stimulating the economy? On creating jobs?

If you haven't noticed, the private sector is awash in investment capital, but are waiting for the middle class to spend more money. Romney has not addressed this issue.

As governor of Massachusetts, he ranked 43rd in job creation and last in growth of the median wage in his first 2.5 years there. He presided over the slowest jobs recovery in Massachusetts history all according to Sept 3, 2006 report from Mass. Budget and Policy Center, a nonpartisan policy analysis group. And they were not at full employment having lost 200,000 job in 2001.

Romney doesn't have a plan for America's future job growth. His Massachusetts plan didn't work either. Facts here are very inconvenient for Romney.

From Fact Check, Stopping tax loopholes will account for about 1/10 of reducing the deficit by the $5,000,000,000,000 that Romney said he would cut and the loopholes were the only thing he sighted. Of course, he's going to give the military $2,000,000,000,000 that they haven't even asked for? The problem with debates is this, when republicans or democrats make promises or policy statements they are lying. They keep the lies simple so their devoted followers are not confused and can easily spread them with the conviction kindergartner as for the most part that is their intellectual capacity. Today we have candidate A who has been in power for 3.5 years and has for the most part not lived up to expectations, candidate B is promising blue skies and drastic improvement much like candidate A did in the last election. Candidate A says he needs more time as it proved to be harder than he thought and the other guys stopped him from being the whirling dervish he really is and moreover the lackluster defense of his policies was a fluke. Topping it all off the comments here, I now the status quo will survive. I would say there has been a lot of brainwashing but alas there is no brain to wash.

No question about it, Obama is not a great debater. However; any of us who have been to a high school debate know that the winner isn't always correct - they just did a better job of getting their point across. The reality is that much of what M.T. Suit said was presented well, but factually wrong or is out of synch with what he's been giving as his official position on taxes, health care, and education. So, Obama is now going to play to his strength of digging into the (meager, but heretofore never mentioned) details that his opponent shared. We'll see how this plays out - hopefully we'll all be enlightened

Yes, we all know you have a wife. Yes, most believe she would have made a better president. Sorry, he lost me in the first minute when you consider the problems we face and the direction he went. Maybe if President Obama actually held press conferences over the last few years he might be able to take pointy questions. Heck, Lehrer didn't ask hard questions- he asked position questions. That makes sense too- take example the recent murder of our Libyan Ambassador. Romney came out saying that it was a diplorable act of terrorism against the US. President Obama said that Romney spoke out too soon, said it wasn't terrorism, then changed his story numerous times. Therefore he couldn't take a position eventhough there was ample evidence that terrorism was the cause (Libyan officials, State Dept. memos, the Ambassador's statements, the Seal's being there to get weapons back, etc.).

Node- Funny thing (if you watched the debat or the networks following), all they could talk about was how Romney did a good job at pointing out the facts, the fact checkers were more supportive of Romney than the President, and the only fault they could find regarding the presentation was that President Obama actually got 4 extra minutes of comment time during the debate.

Unless of course, you're going to admit that democrats care more about America than they do themselves, and therefore, wont make that proclaimation and WILL work with the republican president as they have always done.

That is funny Jessica. You mean like the way that the Demo had all of congress for two years plus the president but still did nothing for the American people. Oh yes that I a great leader he could not even pull the Demo to help him for the first two years even most of them said NO to him until he started buying them. Of course, Mitt admitted that he offshores work - by stating that he must not have had the right accountant all these years.

The President said we need to close a loophole that gives a tax break to businesses for moving a job overseas. That's a narrow way to look at it. ANY business is allowed a tax break for expenses related to moving a job, anywhere, no matter if it's in this country or another. The President was implying that businesses are getting this break BECAUSE they are shipping it overseas, and is simply false. Look it up. Mitt Romney said if there was a tax break to ship a job overseas then he needed a new accountant. I don't recall ever hearing Romney say he hasn't moved a job overseas. Do you not consider Obama sending money to Brazil so they can drill off their shores, sending jobs overseas? He's sending our tax money to another nation which will be used for jobs, their jobs. They both have done it, what's your point?

I really would love to know, how is it, when Obama changes his stance, he is "evolving", yet, if Mitt changes his stance ever so slightly, he is a flat our liar? Some of you folks really need to get your heads evaluated.

I'm just thinking, what else could prepare you more for a debate than actually being president for nearly four years. It's what you do. It's your full time job to be informed on all of the topics which will come up in debates. Somehow, he's not. Seems he hasn't been paying attention to the country these past years. Maybe too many golf outings, too many family vacations, too many appearances on talk shows, being adored by the liberal media and darling fans.

The President had Mittens by the short hairs and he let him off the hook.

Maybe the president, like the media, does not realize Romney is one of the 47% he has chastised for not paying federal income tax. Romney, himself said he has been unemployed since resigning as CEO of Bain Capital and putting his holdings in a blind trust in 1999. That means all, or most all of Romney's income since 1999 has been taxed at the lower rate capital gains, not income tax, Romney is unemployed and has paid no federal income tax in almost 13 years...........Don't that beat all ?

To see Sugar Ray Leonard vs Roberto Duran 2 (the "no mas" fight), I went to a harness track where they were broadcasting the closed circuit telecast for free, with a couple of touts from work. I

had never been to the "trotters" before, but I laid down my bet and we watched the horses and their drivers go around the track. My horse was in the lead, so when they came past us, I stood up and cheered my "victory".

Someone near me tapped me on the shoulder, saying softly "Sit down, they go around again"...

A month and two more debates to go.

Brianb1956 - I don't have time to play stupid games with you so I'll just post the BIG lie Mitt told over and over again that idiots somehow are ignoring (sorry - that would be you!)

From Fact Check:

ROMNEY: Let me repeat what I said, I'm not in favor of a $5 trillion tax cut. That's not my plan. My plan is not to put in place any tax cut that will add to the deficit.

What is Romney's plan?

He has proposed making the Bush tax cuts permanent for all income levels -- then cutting all rates by an additional 20 percent. He would also repeal the alternative minimum tax and permanently repeal the estate tax.

The non-partisan Tax Policy Center concluded that Romney's tax plan would cost $4.8 trillion over 10 years.

Here's a question for you:

Obama said:

“The problem is, is that the way Bush has done it over the last eight years is to take out a credit card from the Bank of China in the name of our children, driving up our national debt from $5 trillion for the first 42 presidents – #43 added $4 trillion by his lonesome, so that we now have over $9 trillion of debt that we are going to have to pay back — $30,000 for every man, woman and child. That’s irresponsible. It’s unpatriotic.”.

-Barak Hussein Obama

“today I’m pledging to cut the deficit we inherited in half by the end of my first term in office. This will not be easy. It will require us to make difficult decisions and face challenges we’ve long neglected. But I refuse to leave our children with a debt that they cannot repay — and that means taking responsibility right now, in this administration, for getting our spending under control.”

-Barak Hussein Obama

Which Obama are you voting for? The one who made these promises, or the one who did the exact opposite?

ClearVoice2,

"The contrast clear. In fact, it is BLACK and WHITE!"

Now that's a racist comment if I ever heard one, although you may think you are being subtle!

No, it is not a racist comment. The phrase black and white is a common and an ages old way of indicating opposites. In the color spectrum black is the absence of color, and white is the combination of all colors equally and all at once. I hope I explained that correctly to satisfy the more scientific members of the crowd here.

Anyway, the point is, is that YOU are the racist for even trying to bring the race card into the discussion. It's all you think about, isn't it. You yearn for every chance to twist and distort someone else's words and attempt to portray them as racist. All for your party's political gain. It's old, worn out, and doesn't work here anymore. Give it up. Get better. Learn to identify true racism and go after that instead.

Apparently our President lives in a world of fantasy. He met the real Romney in the debate and not the Romney of his dreams. But where is the real fiscally conservative Obama of four years ago? Where is the Obama who said:

And the cost of our debt is one of the fastest growing expenses in the Federal budget. This rising debt is a hidden domestic enemy, robbing our cities and States of critical investments in infrastructure like bridges, ports, and levees; robbing our families and our children of critical investments in education and health care reform; robbing our seniors of the retirement and health security they have counted on.

Every dollar we pay in interest is a dollar that is not going to investment in America’s priorities. Instead, interest payments are a significant tax on all Americans–a debt tax that Washington doesn’t want to talk about. If Washington were serious about honest tax relief in this country, we would see an effort to reduce our national debt by returning to responsible fiscal policies.

Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that “the buck stops here. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.

Liberals always do bad in debates. They play more to emotion than to facts. Debates are about facts. Liberals always loose when it comes to facts and concrete ideas. If you want a president that makes you feel better then vote for Obama. If you want a president that has succeeded in business and thinks you and America can also then vote for Romney.

Last night but fired up today ... this is the perfect metaphor for the last 4 years we got 23 million people out of work ... we have another 360,000 people losing their job every week ... we have 280,000 new workers entering the work force every month yet Obama Economic plan is to create only 100,000 per month when 450,000 jobs per month is needed just to not fall any further behind and then saying I'll really fix the Economy next 4 years.

I am very sorry but removing 8 million people from the unemployment count because you say they're not looking hard enough for work just doesn't cut it. We are really at 11.5% unemployment. Talk about a 47% comment. Dick Morris who worked for President Clinton for almost 20 years says Obama is an absolute failure and resisted all efforts to turn him to the center like President Clinton. Obama continues to press his Marxist Progressive Liberal Communist Economic Theories which aren't even supported by a majority in the Democratic Party. In fact Morris says Democrats says it's like watching someone commit suicide with a bomb but you're sitting right next to him.

It looks like Obama showed what I have known for a while, he is not a great leader. This election should have been a slam dunk for for anyone going against him. Yet it is not. Why? What have the Republicans offered. Nothing but the same as they have for many years. Cut taxes, deregulate, cut Govt etc etc. We have been cutting taxes and deregulating since the 80's when Reagan was president. If those things worked why are we in the spot we are in now? First cut the its Obama's fault crap. The economy crashed before he took office. All those tax cuts from the past are still in place, where are all the jobs, the trickle down? Bank CEO's collected bonuses and the average worker collected pink slips. How can that be defended. "Trickle down" is an excellent theory in a perfect world, but this is not a perfect world. Greed is the problem and I dont see Republicans coming out with any answers to fix it but just keep cutting and dumping needed revenue down the rabbit hole.

Real leaders find ways to get things done. Norquist told party activists back in February, the true direction of the GOP is being mapped out by congressional hardliners. All the Republicans need to realize their vision, he said, is a president "with enough working digits to handle a pen."

Romney has now adopted every letter of the Ryan agenda. Take it from Ed Gillespie, senior adviser to the campaign: "If the Ryan budget had come to his desk as president," Gillespie said of Romney, "he would have signed it, of course."

"Ryan takes out the ax and goes after programs for the poor – which is the last thing you ought to cut," says David Stockman, who served as Ronald Reagan's
budget director. "It's ideology run amok."

Republicans in Congress have repeatedly put ideology before creating jobs. For more than a year, they've refused to put President Obama's jobs bill up for a vote, even though projections show it would create nearly 2 million jobs without adding a penny to the deficit.

In addition, the Republicans' signature initiative last year – the debt-ceiling
standoff – was a jobs-killer, applying the brakes to the economic recovery.
From February through April 2011, the economy had been adding 200,000 jobs a month. But during the uncertainty created by the congressional impasse, job
creation was cut in half for every month the standoff‑continued. And according
to the Economic Policy Institute, the immediate spending cuts required by the
debt-ceiling compromise are likely to shrink the economy by $43 billion this
year, killing nearly 323,000 jobs.

What Ryan markets as his "Path toProsperity" would make things even worse: The draconian cuts in his latestbudget, according to the EPI, would put an additional drag on the economy, destroying another 4.1 million jobs by 2014.

Last year, the House passed a bill that would broadly
prohibit women from purchasing insurance plans that cover abortion. The
so-called Protect Life Act would also allow hospitals to refuse a dying woman
an abortion that would save her life. Ryan himself co-sponsored legislation
that would have made it impossible for impoverished victims of rape and incest
to receive abortions unless their assault met a narrow definition of
"forcible rape." Under the bill's language, for instance, federal
abortion coverage would be denied to a 12-year-old girl impregnated by a
40-year-old man, unless she could prove she fought back.

What we just witnessed was 1 debate. You ever had a debate class? They teach delivery. They teach you how to gather facts. Then they teach you how to manipulate the facts towards your own preconceived end. And they teach you how to "disarm" your opponent.

What we saw last night was one lyin' ass debater against one tired President. But if you pick your winner on this one night, and you go for the "debate winner", you are the fool.

Don't get me wrong, debates are a blast. They are interesting... this one especially. And Romney won! But debates are NOT about the truth or what's right or anything close to these two values. Debates are about presentation and manipulation and surprise.

So I give the "lyin'-my-ass-off-while-looking-like-I'm-not" award to Romney.... I'll give him that.

Let me tell you: if you thought that voting God out of the Democrat Party was wicked, wait till you hear this.

The Tea Party reported to you a few weeks ago that on March 16, 2012 Obama (America’s Fraud President) wrote and signed Executive Order 13603 naming it: “National Defense Resources Preparedness,” and while a few conservative media outlets wrote a handful of stories about this outrageous Executive Order, the interest died out.

The pieces of the Obama puzzle are falling into place and his sinister plan is emerging clearer than ever: Use of weapons of mass destruction on Americans!

Through Executive Order 13603 Obama gave himself the power to control all vital aspects of our beloved nation.

The more the Tea Party Research team digs, the more we discover about the execution of Obama’s America-killing plan as it unfolds—and it is HORRIBLE. Beyond the worst you can imagine.

Take a look at some of the sinister and menacing forces that will be put into motion. They are weapons of mass destruction!

Seizing of all forms of civil transportation

Do you realize what this means? Obama specially wrote “civil” NOT “public” transportation. In the name of a national emergency (which Obama has yet to define which, in turn, means he can define it any way he wants) he can grab ALL forms of transportation civilians use, including:

  • Automobiles, trucks and delivery vehicles
  • Boats and ships
  • Your cars, your children’s cars and even grandma’s car
  • City buses
  • Trains
  • Airplanes
  • Motorcycles
  • Bicycles
  • Scooters, skateboards and wagons
  • Horse and buggies
  • Snowmobiles
  • Tractors (Yes, some people drive to town on tractors)

A secret plan went into action right under our noses a few months ago—the very plan the Blame Stream Media deliberately hid from the American people.

Obama forgot to tell you that he can grab ALL FORMS OF CIVIL TRANSPORTATION, didn’t he? How convenient to keep the good citizens of America in the dark.

But it doesn’t stop there.

While other groups are asleep at the wheel and playing politics your Tea Party has been at work exposing the rat in the White House.

Obama doesn’t stop at just grabbing transportation but will grab the food out of your mouth. He will also grab”

All commodities and products capable of being ingested by either human beings or animals. In other words all food products, growing, picked and in store, including:

  • Farm crops
  • Inventory in grocery stores
  • Grandmas garden vegetables
  • Your canned goods
  • Dog food and livestock feed
  • Survival food cache
  • Fish from fish farms
  • Fruit from orchards

The lame stream media not only turned a blind eye to Obama’s evil deeds but has refused to comment on the Obama grab when presented with the facts! The Main Blame media is NOT your friend.

Ready for more?

Health resources, which include, but are not limited to: drugs, biological products, medical devices, materials, facilities, health supplies, services and equipment. This includes:

  • Hospitals
  • Vitamin stores
  • Wheel chair suppliers
  • Oxygen providers
  • Drug stores
  • First Aid supplies
  • Red Cross
  • Medical insurance companies

And the savage takeover of America doesn’t end there. Obama gives the power to government to take over…

All forms of energy:

  • Solar energy farms
  • Wind turbine projects
  • Niagara Falls electric plant
  • Your home generator
  • Hydro-electric dams
  • City power plants

All usable water from all sources:

  • Mississippi River
  • The Great Lakes
  • Colorado River and all rivers
  • All ponds
  • All wells
  • All water sheds
  • All snow melts
  • All bottled water companies

Yep, COMPLETE GOVERNMENT CONTROL OF IT ALL!!!! If this does not frighten you out of your wits, I don’t know what will.

The Tea Party Research Team is discovering more everyday about “America’s Fraud President.”

Sound impossible? If you don’t believe what we are saying then look up Executive Order 13603 yourself. I assure you this one thing: you will beshocked and frightened beyond anything you have ever known.

I can also tell you this: the Tea Party has been examining the Obama records from day one. Why? Because it has been proven time after time Obama is a liar and cheat. This is why he has earned the name “America’s Fraud President.”

He has lied to the American people about his college transcripts, his law license, his birth certificate and his master piece ObamaCare and ObamaTax.

If you have not seen it yet I strongly urge you to go see the documentary, 2016. You will be shocked and appalled at what you learn. You will be shocked at how Obama’s ideologies were formed and by what his true plan is for subverting our country.

I guarantee you that by the end of the film, the entire puzzle will come together and you will see why we have been screaming FRAUD all along.

The big picture will come completely into focus.

And, you will see that the Tea Party is gravely alarmed with very good reason—and understand why you should be, too.

Executive Order 13603 is another piece to the puzzle that brings together Obama’s evil master plan.

It is hard to debate a person who suddenly agrees with you on majority of the points and hails what you have already accomplished. Take wrestling for example. If your opponent raises his hand or pounds the floor to let you know he has had it, you stopped. What is there to do? Last night what Mr. Romney did was agree with Mr. Obama for most of the parts. In doing so he was running on Democratic agenda. But the damage was already done. His true believe is that 47% did not matter. 42% were cows to milk. He is in 1% who milks the cow.

In 1998 a group of Americans traveling in South America had an incident in which the bus they were traveling in almost went over the cliff. Ingenues as they were, some left the bus to tie it to the nearest trees and at the same time pull it from the near cliff where it was stuck. The few that were in the bus provided the traction needed near the back of the bus.

That sort of physics (true representation of economics) reminds of the economics situation in 2008~2012. The people who were out of the bus unemployed, the people in the bus the employed, the bus conductor the president. Before everyone was on the bus (employed) things just did not look right but the tragedy of going over the cliff (economic disaster) was avoided.

As semi liberal I think I am, yet I buy mostly US made tools and machinery. If none available, I buy British or German. Not because I dislike China, but there is a limit how much business I wish to give them at the expense of US and European manufacturers. Are you that selective to help fellow American Businesses? If not, do not complain about Jobs.

I find it ironic that Obama and the Democrats are talking about the 'other' Romney that showed up in the debate yesterday.

Obama's entire strategy from day 1 was to change voters' perception of Romney on a personal level. The Democrats continually and aggressively attacked Romney, trying to paint the perception of Romney being un-relatable, old, white and rich, who doesn't care about anyone but other Wall St. types. They went after his financial status, his family...anything to make Romney look like that evil rich Republican.

The funny thing is, no one, on a national level, knew much about the real Romney. When he shows up for the debate where, for perhaps the first time the majority of Americans get to see him unfiltered and unedited by the media, Romney seems to be a decent, caring guy. In the space of 90 minutes, Romney completed shed the perception of himself that Obama and the Democrats have worked so tirelessly to create.

This fact is more threatening to Obama's campaign strategy than most realize. Let's be honest, most Americans are too uneducated to really understand tax policy. Likeability and relatability matter more than anything else.

This is why Obama is quick to talk about the '2 different Romneys'. As if he's trying to rescue the campaign strategy.

It's kind of pathetic in my opinion.

Let's make this about the

You obviously don't get it. It's a Catch 22. Your right in that middle class cannot increase spending until they earn more money. The rich won't invest until sales are up and they need to expand their operations.

It's a stalemate. Romney does not ever address how the middle class can earn more money to stimulate sales. And the rich won't invest until their sales go up.

Stalemate breaker, Catch 22 ender is our government's use of stimulus spending.

What a coward. Why didn't he say this last night. Obama put his head down and looked like he was on Xanax or something goofy. I almost think someone was talking in his ear because he would look down then smile then nod his head horizontally then vertically, then a little laugh, WHAT THE H? He looked physically bad. Now this morning he is all guns, sorry, debate passed while you were in another planet.

Hey teapublicans --- don't get too excited. Romney has made one misstep after another, day after day, for the last 3 months. So last night he finally got a hit. Even the pitcher gets a few hits over 162 games. But that doesn't make him the batting champion.

The reality is if President Obama wins Colorado (and he's leading now) he has the election won. Romney on the other hand has to just run the table in every swing state to win. That could happen but don't bet much on it.

Just goes to show you without a tele-prompter Obama ain't worth the toilet paper that was stuck to the bottom of his shoe last night!

TO: jerry l-1335133 who wrote:

"Jeff, You cannot funnel money when the budget you propose gets zero votes and when the Democrats in the Senate cannot come up with a budget in 3 years."

Republicans didn't have a "budget" let alone a "balanced budget" at no time during the entire 8 years Republicans had the White House, and for some 4 concurrent years also held the House, and NO Republican gave a hoot while Republicans rubberstamped one foolish spending bill after another, AND another!

AND Mitt Robme isn't planning on balancing it either!!! Oh right, he promised he'd do so on the last day, of his second term. What B.S.!

In fact, the last time we had a balanced budget was when Democrat Bill Clinton balanced.

I consider all this "balanced budget" B.S. to nothing more than false outrage.

Republicans to this very day support Republicans' collapse of the entire United States Economy and do but call for more of the same things that brought us down in the first place, still convince that if the do the same things, the same way, they'll come up with a different result.

That's no doubt why millionaires and billionaires are asking for THEIR tax cuts FIRST, cause they know Republican idiots are ruff and ready to screw everything up again!

I see First Read is following their marching orders from the Obama campaign.

Axelrod (asking reporters to go after Romney) -'All of you who travel on the road with Governor Romney know that he just few weeks ago stood up and said we didn't need any more teachers,' he said. 'Last night he couldn't be more enthusiastic about teachers and more teachers.'

First Read - Last night, Romney said his plans to trim the deficit wouldn’t mean teacher cuts: “I reject the idea that I don’t believe in great teachers or more teachers.

Axelrod (speaking with reporters) - speaking on a campaign conference call, made an appeal to reporters to make the points that Obama himself had failed to make in the debate

First Read - Last night, Obama also missed an opportunity to highlight his opponent’s personal tax records after Gov.

FIRST READ YOU HAVE BEEN BUSTED!!!!!!!! Nothing but an arm of the Obama Chicago Machine!!!

Romney:

- Middle class average income is $250K.

- Students, that can't afford college tuition, should borrow money from their parents (because their parent's earn $250K a year).

- Repeal Obamacare and replace it with the Emergency Room.

- Reduce taxes by 20% while eliminating deductions and exemptions--personal and dependent exemptions, state and local tax credit, mortgage interest credit, educational expense credit, medical expense credit, child care credit, earned income credit. After all of this you'd wish that he simply raised taxes and left the credits alone--less painful.

- 47% of Americans are leeches of society that can't take responsibility for their lives.

- If you're 59 or younger, you get a voucher for Medicare and good luck with the market and inflation.

- The 47% that live off the government will be given jobs--all you 75 and older men and women who don't pay income tax will have to get a job! You disabled people, whether or not you have limbs, will have to get jobs! All you active duty military in combat zones, that don't pay income tax, will have to get jobs!

- If you have capital gains, dividend or large estate income, your tax will go to zero. And you must create jobs, just like you have in the past 12 years.

- All you companies stocking up on toxic chemicals, you will be free to dispose of that nasty stuff as you see fit -- The useless EPA will be eliminated.

- All you companies currently restricted from emitting CO2, will be free from any such restriction -- you will be expected to create more jobs

- All food and Drug companies will be free to manufacture and dispense anything they produce. The FDA will be eliminated.

- We will keep only qualified teachers and they will be able to teach classes of 100 students or more.

- Will eliminate the dept. of education and thereby improve our young people's education levels -- Home schooling forever!!

- We will eliminate unnecessary police, fire and other government workers. If you get robbed, your house catches on fire, or expect any government service--tough it out!!

I am Romney and I am for the Middle Class -- Vote for me and believe in my motto:

“ASK NOT WHAT YOUR COUNTRY CAN DO FOR YOU, BUT HOW YOUR COUNTRY CAN STICK IT TO YOU!”

No amount of late lame jokes about Big Bird are going to make that any more funny.

You guys should be angry at the liberal media for putting this crap into your heads. He never called them leeches, moochers, or any other fabricated name they want you to regergitate. He said that they would not vote for him. Why? Because it serves their purpose to raise taxes on others when you dont have any skin in the game...there is nothing to lose on their part. They only have something to gain by benefiting from government programs funded by those that do pay federal income tax.

No question about it, Obama is not a great debater.

Wouldn't have known that because Obama beat McCain in their debates. Wouldn't have known that by the way Obama supporters on the Vine promoted him as a lock on winning.

Early on when the subject came up, I warned these supporters what Romney would do. You cannot win on people of truth with half truths. Did you not notice that for months Romney was not vehemently denying the Obama 5 Trillion in tax cuts? He waited until Prime time to cram it back in his face. I heard Obama was out again saying the same thing. Stupid is as stupid does I guess.

I don't know if I'd announce to the world that I was still going to vote for the loser, but hey for now and if we get rid of Obama it is still a free country. Obama did not have opportunity to go after Romney for two reasons:

1. Obama has done no good but only harm to our country.

2. Romney was telling the truth and called Obama on every lie he told.

Tough to win a debate with someone who tells it like it is and won't let you lie. Of couse Obama was fired up this morning. He was preaching to his choir of lemmings ready and willing to follow him off the cliff. Last night his smirk said "hey we'll stack the votes and use Chicago tactics to steal this election anyway" Well not so fast buddy, every American who wants to save his or her country will be out to vote so the legal votes out number the illegal fraud votes even though you have disenfranchised the very military that fights and dies to keep this country free. Maybe that is why you are screwing them over so bad.

Romney is not for the middle class and if a couple sound bites in a debate make you think otherwise you are delusional.

Looking through the above comments, I'm relieved to see that other Americans besides me are concerned about what has gone wrong with Obama's lucidity. Someone above said that Obama didn't look healthy. Somebody else said that Obama looked weird, as if he was on psychiatric medication. I've been deeply concerned about the mental health of the current President of the United States, particularly after the bizarre denial by the Obama administration that the tragic and violent assassination of the American ambassador in Libya was anything other than a reaction to one of the several ridiculous videos on Youtube which are anti-Islam, and the flippant attitude he expressed when he appeared on The View and called himself "eye candy", while refusing to address urgent concerns about the attainment of nuclear destructive capability by a rogue government in Iran. I think that the American public is entitled to current information about the mental health of the President of the United States.

So Robme is going to cut $5 Trillion in taxes and balance the budget by firing Big Bird? PBS accounts for 0.012% of the national budget. As always republions are no good at math.

People were surprised by the sheer number of lies spouted by Ayn Ryan at their convention, but it appears Robme did his level best to set a new record for lies. He told 27 lies in 38 minutes. One of them was that he worked with Democrats when he was governor of Massachusetts. The only problem with that lie is that 770 of his vetoes were overridden........Some leader.

Then he lied again about not knowing about the tax cuts corporations get for exporting American jobs. Bain was a pioneer in exporting American jobs. And it is true that the Democrats tried to repeal that law twice and were blocked by the republicons twice.

Vote for America! O and Joe 2012.

Al Gore says that Obama was the victim of the high altitude, and he was the Democrat nominee for president which is pretty scary. Pundits are saying that Obama was caught off guard, that he never expected such a strong offense. Very telling when Obama isn't prepared to defend his actions over the past four years simply because for the first time he is ask too. Funny how we have nothing but excuses and blame for Obama failing, again. Romney on the other hand apologized for his 47% comment, he says it was wrong, and you can bet he will expound on that apology. Sort of refreshing to see a politician who is willing to admit to his mistakes, instead of always making excuses or blaming someone else.

Romney hasn't held a job in about 5 years. He has nothing else to do but prep. The president has the world on his shoulders, plus it's campaign season. ABBO ------------Any body but Obama. It's time the president to quit his so called leadership of this country and let someone else handle the country's leadership. He demonstrated that with his poor performance last night. By the way, he's been practicing just as much as Romney, but without the teleprompter he's as inarticulate as a mime.

You live in a state where then Gov Romney created a fantastic healthcare plan/model that was hijacked by the Dems, which incidently is all that 0bama has to show for in 4 years, and got the education level to #1 in the nation, and yet you bash the creator. Your lack of gratitude is sickening. Romney gave Barry and his Orangutan an excellent anniversary present last night!

Oh Pat you are funny. You do realize that this nation can not survive another 4 years of creeping socialism/marxism? You cry that Romney hasn't worked in 5 years. What private sector job has Nobama or his friends ever had? I trust a businessman over a community agitator to get the economy going. Take a look into Nobama when he was an agitator in Chicago and how he got a housing project shut down so his friends (such as Valerie Jarrett) could make millions of developing the property. Here I thought he helped the poor and downtrodden....no he helps his friends make money. One more idea.....Nobama bitched about how much oil companies got subsidized but he failed to mention how General Electric PAID NO TAXES AND ARE MOVING PARTS OF COMPANY TO CHINA. And to see the CEO of General Electric is an advisor to Nobama...go figure.

            Pat, Boston, well said.

President Obama did fine, not great. Romney was not great either, he was good. For the last week or more the media and the GOP has been hyping the debate, telling people that Mitt Romney MUST provide specific, details yet the Media and the GOP spinners oddly ignore that Romney did not do what they said he must--his answers lacks specificity, lacked detail and were denials of his own proposed plans. Mitt lied repeatedly yet he is the big winner because he was more animated.

unoitall, Ga from RI's posts are prime examples of sick, hateful thinking. Disgusting.

Daman, we can't afford the GOP any longer. They just want tax cuts for the rich and we the people will have to pay for them. That's not cool.

I am confident that President Obama is by far a better choice than Romney. Romney changes his stances every single GD day.

President Obama will not lose my support or my vote. I'm neither wishy washy or undecided. He's my choice, through good times and tough times.

I'm not one to throw our president under the bus, particularly when our future is at stake. That's what republicans do. They neither support nor respect anyone. And because of that, they will never ever receive my vote.

Obama looked like he was a puppy that just got caught wetting the carpet and Romney was scolding him. This is the difference between Socialist ideology and the "real world". Romney understands business and what it takes to grow an economy. Obama couldn't run a lemonade stand.

The great Milton Friedman said it best when he said "If you put the government in control of the Sahara Desert within 5 years there would be a shortage of sand". Big government doesn't work. Never has and never will.

Only the PRIVATE sector can grow the economy - and Romney understands the private sector. Obama has NEVER had a job in the private sector - and after four failed years it shows...........

Fact checkers are having a field day with Romney. Will the real Romney please stand up?

You can win debates by changing your position when your opponent attacks what he thinks your position is. However, the following days are important too, as the fact checkers do their job, as people review Romney's shifting positions.

I believe people want someone whose judgment they can trust. Romney's shifting positions may win debates, but they do not inspire confidence in his ability to lead. Upon reflection and review, I think the assessment of Romney's debate performance will be downgraded quite a bit (kinda like those mortgage securities).

In Massachusetts he did not work with Democrats. In over 800 vetoes over 700 were overruled by the Democrats.

Based on an independently-obtained list of veto override votes, that out of more than 800 budget line-item vetoes during Romney’s four years as governor, 707 were overridden. A separate Factcheck.org post put the exact number of Romney’s vetoes at 844 – and noted that “more than 700” were overridden.

Max, President Obama had Osama bin Laden killed. Romney is going to have Big Bird killed. That's what people are talking about all over the internets. Too too funny.

Also, saw this tweet over at the Obama Diary:

Tweet: Not confirmed yet but I want you to hear it: killers of US Amb. Chris Stevens are said to be detained at Istanbul Airport.

            And this:

            http://www.huffingtonpost.com/lynn-parramore/why-the-pundits-are-wrong_b_1939137.html?utm_hp_ref=elections-2012

Last night I placed a five-dollar bill into a bowl at the start of the debate, clipped to a prediction that Romney would be declared the winner. Not especially because I think that Romney is a better debater, or that I feared Obama would make some horrible gaffe - but because that's how The Script has to go in these cases.

Obama did what anybody paying close attention would have known he would do. He played it safe. And he stuck to a rather dull rhetorical style because - he has a rather dull rhetorical style. Also because that's what you do when you're the frontrunner. You don't say or do anything wild and crazy. You let your opponent jump up and down and make excitable noises. Which is precisely what Romney did. Some have read Romney's stance as aggressive, others as pushy, but there's one word that you're unlikely to hear: "presidential." Makes for good theatrics. But it won't win you the White House.

So why did the President keep on the gloves? Obama did not jump on Romney's 47%-of-Americans-are-Losers comment because his campaign had already done a handy job with that, and there was no need to drive home the point and appear undignified. He could have pummeled Romney on various economic policy points, and he did this once or twice, such as his questions about the details of Romney's tax plan. But mostly he just looked bored. That can be read as, "Jeez, look at what I have to put up with!" That's 100% Obama. And yet frantic media accounts suggest that pundits expected to see a gladiator emerge from his staid persona.

In a race that appears to have a frontrunner, media types have an incentive to tighten things up, and this, of course, whips up public opinion. But it won't amount to a hill of beans in the long run. I predict that the needle will wobble slightly, no more (Early poll show Romney up a measly point). The real loser of last night's debate was the American public, which was not properly informed and frequently lied to.

            ##############

Now the last thing we need is President Obama behaving like Republicans. Particularly behaving like Mitt.

            He didn't. Thank goodness.

Beyond the obvious moral decay accelerated at an exponential rate by this president, the economic damage he has done lays in wait like an iceberg on a dark ocean night. Ninety percent of risk is lurking below the surface and remains invisible to those consumed by a"fast food style decision making process" and short sound bites of single issue constituency rhetoric!

Obama induced debt (deficit spending) acts like a cancer on our nation and American society. Cancer grows and cannot be contained without serious and often invasive treatment. The cure itself poses serious side effects. We can look to Greece as a sort of microcosm of what Obama is doing to America with what may go down in history as the "most reckless fiscal policy in the history of the industrialized world".

China and others have warned America and the world about the inherent risk in Obama policies, but it appears it will take yet another credit downgrade and perhaps a complete economic collapse for some Americans to wake up to the "harsh and frightening reality" of America's future should Obama be reelected!

            STOP OBAMA NOW!

Obama campaign is back attacking Romney. Axelrod, claiming that Romney is deceptive and dishonest. New ad coming out called Trust.

If we can’t trust him here [in TV debates] … how could we ever trust him here?” says the ad, showing a picture of the Oval Office.

Axelrod is also calling on the media to put pressure on Romney.

“The approach that Governor Romney’s talking about is the same sales pitch that was made in 2001 and 2003, and we ended up with the slowest job growth in 50 years, we ended up moving from surplus to deficits, and it all culminated in the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression.”

            — Obama

Here, the president comes close to repeating a line that just this week earned him Three Pinocchios. In a new television ad, Obama said that tax cuts and deregulation led to the crisis. But in the debate he broadened his language, bringing in the impact of the Bush tax cuts on the deficit and not directly linking the policies (“it all culminated” versus “led to”) to the financial crash.

With such careful pruning and adjusting of language, a politician can easily shed one or two Pinocchios.

But another part of Obama’s statement is misleading. There’s no doubt that George W. Bush owns an unimpressive record on job creation. But as we have previously demonstrated, Obama comes in either last, second-to-last or in the bottom half among presidents since the Great Depression, depending on which way you look at the numbers.

Angie Aker with Move On also wrote today "During last night's presidential debate, Mitt Romney smirked his way through dozens of mischaracterizations, distortions, and outright lies. The moderator, Jim Lehrer, never cut him off. And now the mainstream media is saying that Mitt won the debate"...."He lied about his tax plan, his deficit plan, and Medicare. He lied about what "Obamacare" would do. He lied, baldly and convincingly, about Obama's entire presidency."

Mitt lies on top of his lies. As long as Mitt tells it over and over again people will start believing it. Sad, just really sad.

Pat- I really enjoyed your job comment. The funny thing is that the President can now be tied to his current job. He can be tied back to not meeting with a number of his appointed cabinet members. He can be tied back to not meeting with his economic committee when the economy is struggling. He can be tied to the White House log as meeting with Trumka and other friends hundreds of times. He can be tied to providing appointments(cabinet positions, committee appointments, ambassadorships, etc.) to his donors. He can be tied to all of those out of office trips around the country for the last two years to campaign for the job he already has. He can be tied to the lavish vacations with multiple Air Force 1 jets for his wife and kids leaving an hour before he did. He can be tied to all of those world leaders he didn't visit with when in the same city for the same events. He can be tied by records to repaying his donors 100-1000x for their donations by providing them with stimulus money and bailouts. I can keep going on and on based on the RECORDS, not conjecture.

I thought Romney hit it home when he mentioned that the President chose to give 50 years of tax incentives to Green Jobs (friends) instead of hiring teachers. Funny how when you hear something said a different way that you start to realize how much money we are talking about and what choices the President chose.

Joe NY - President Obama was offered tenure as a professor at UofC but declined because of his other obligations. His students still referred to him as professor. Officials at the Unversity said they would have been delighted had he accepted the offer of professor.

Try posting an actual site that isn't right wing junk if you want to be accurate. You could actually go the the UofC website and have facts - not the lies you post.

President Obama's classes were always filled and he had students on wait lists to get into his classes.

Our President has supported alternative energy yes and many of them have been donors. However, he has not gone to war to fill the pockets of Haliburton - like Bush and Cheney. Unfortunately when new technologies are being developed, some do not work. It's that simple.

Try going for the truth instead of your half-truths and downright lies. It will make you look at least a little believable - not much but a little!

Wow, Pat good post as always, I think this might be the turning point of the race. It may have awakened the sleeping giant. The American democrat, to make sure and get out the vote. We also may see a step up in the scrutiny of Mr. Romney. We know he cannot withstand a close scrutiny. Things like what Newt Gingrich said about him in the primary. Don't think the Texas Governor was to kind at that point in time, his tax records. What is he hiding?

Also I think Obama needs to bring out his accomplishments, which are the accomplishments for the American people. The 47% that Mitt now loves. But on tape he was showing them only scorn. I will put my $5 bill in the bowl that Obama returns to the White house and accomplishes many more great things. Get out the vote.

Come on rightys, do you really want Romney to be our president? Understand arithmetic?

Obama needs to take all the wealth and establish a true Government for the people and by the people ... I'm so sick of old people consuming all the wealth. Most consume about $250,000 the last few days of their life ... after say 70 years old, we should deny all medical procedures except pain management ... they need to step aside so others can step up ... Burn it all Down Obama we're right here with you ...

beelzebubb - you've clearly confused Mitt's plan with Obama's. See with Mitt's plan, once you get old, you should just go away and die. You have no right to get any benefits that might possibly even take a penny from the 1%. They simply won't have it.

See - easier to understand now?

Stupid JoeNY - the ignorant post of yours is truly telling. President Obama appointed no more donors to jobs than any other President. He has taken fewer "lavish" vacations than Bush did in the same amount of time - no matter than the Obama's - like all Prsident's - pay for their own expenses.

To all who thought that our president failed last night....I think you're all wrong. My opinion is that President Obama was merely observing what Romney was going to say so that he can hit him hard at the next debate. Sometimes it's wise to just be quiet and listen to your opponent....find out what he stands for, what he's going to say, and how he's going to perform. Next debate is going to be a bit different, I would think. President Obama has seen how the Mittster debates, and he now knows what the Mittster believes and will say.....now he can come back to him with the REAL facts!!! Sometimes you have to lose one to win a couple!!! Besides, Romney will NEVER remember what he said last night....he'll flip flop and conveniently forget his comments! You can certainly bet that President Obama won't forget what was said!!! He was being quiet for a reason!

Well -- the moderate to left wing Romney showed up. But I think his 1% buddies may be a little shocked because according to last night's Romney -- they won't be getting a tax cut.

In his complaint, Karger lays out a chronology of Romney's real estate moves since his failed presidential bid in 2008. According to Karger's timetable, Romney and his wife, Ann, bought a $12.5 million home in La Jolla, California, in May 2008. ("I wanted to be where I could hear the waves," Romney told the AP of his move to the West Coast.) Thereafter, Romney became a regular at California political events, even campaigning for Meg Whitman during her gubernatorial bid. A year later, in April 2009, the Romneys sold their home in Belmont, Massachusetts, for $3.5 million, and registered to vote from an address in the basement of an 8,000 square-foot Belmont manse owned by their son Tagg. But where the Romneys really lived these past couple of years seems to be a bit of a mystery. While Romney was appearing at so many California political events people were speculating he was going to run for office there, the National Journal reported in May 2009 that the Romneys had made their primary residence a $10 million estate in New Hampshire.

The discrepancies in the news coverage prompted Karger to take a closer look, in part because he found it dubious that a guy worth $500 million would really be living in his son's basement.

The President has no worries at all. Romney is an "empty suit" and has no plan at all. Oh he states that he's got this grand plan of massive tax breaks for everyone and cutting out loopholes for the wealthy and middle class? But what are the details of that plan?? He doesn't even know or probably more like won't tell because if he told the details of those plans he would lose the election instantly. Romney and Ryan are going to give Americans the biggest screwing they have ever seen - well maybe not their wealthy gop friends - but you and I. At least the President has layed out all the details to all the plans he has for the economy, health care and SS and all seem at least possible. But then you consider the gop/teabag majority controlling congress who delight with knowing they were the ones who caused at least 2/3 of the deficit and crashing the economy and joyously now get to blame our President. The problem is most rational thinking Americans see right through the gop scheme and they don't buy it. Does williard and the republicans think were going to buy that crap with all the flippety flopping flop mitty has been constantly doing???? Give us a break we're supposed to take your word for it and just trust you. You connies must be kidding, right. There is an old saying that "the devil is in the details" - so republicans, we want details and not the BS lip service your serving. The gop reply......crickets. President Obama has no worries at all....carry on.

The sounds of desperation coming from the left. Excuses galore and blame and not one person willing to admit that the empty suit they so love is nothing but an empty suit. Take away his teleprompters, put him in a place where he has to answer some serious questions about HIS presidency and he falls flat.

The altitude, the anniversary, the bully Romney, the bad moderator, any and everything to make excuses for a failure. NOW he's energized? Of course, he doesn't have to defend his record or his policies, he can blather away about grannie and spiel homilies to an adoring crowd of braindead acolytes bussed in by the unions and he's fer sure energized...either that or they've changed his meds.

Well, the first polls are out and Obama is up 1% and Robme is up by 2%. Now that is a really big bump!

Historically, the incumbent has lost the 1st debate 6 out of 7 times. Clinton is the exception. The next debate? So far it is 3 to 3. The next one will be the tie breaker.

One can expect Obama to call Robme on his lies in that one. After all, Robme has a record of lying 71% of the time. What else can he do?

It takes 3 to 5 business days to complete a poll from a reputable statistical polling company so that means no LEGITIMATE polls will come out until Wednesday or Thursday of next week. And Romney didn't do very well, himself, what with the fact that all he had were vague plans and no specifics. I think in his case the expectations were quite low, and he lied his way into sounding like he actually cared about the middle class. Of course, according to him, the middle class makes up to $250K per year.

If Romney had lost last night even Hannity would have said the race was over and would have been calling for Romney to drop out of the race.

Maybe President Obama was lulling them into a feeling of overconfidence ?

I wonder if the Romney campaign is going to be taking back some of the things Romney said last night. Will he really be keeping his promise to not cut taxes for the wealthy ? Will he really prevent insurance companies from having a no pre-existing conditions part to their policies ? Will he really work to hire more teachers ?

Will Romney KILL BIG BIRD ?

President Obama did lose the debate and I am glad that Romney was great. However in defense of the President, the only incumbent that did win the first debate in the last 20 years was Clinton. The president was not prepared and had a sense of arrogance about him. I get a sitting president has an ego they are the leader of the free world. However, what happened with his poor performance last night told me that he either does not really want to win or he feels he is above the debates and everyone else. THis president does not challenge himself, he goes on the view, radio shows, but does not do enough press conferences. He needs to step up his game or he will lose.

The tax code currently allows companies moving operations overseas to deduct their moving expenses – and reduce their taxes in the United States as a result. While I wasn't excited about Obama's performance, he did do well in the sense that he didn't challenge the moderator or demand time as Romney did. Obama did a good job of not going after some of Romney's bait. All he had to do was not screw up and he did fine. I don't see people that supported Obama leaving him for Romney over the debate performance.

Romney still doesn't provide specifics, yet his campaign promised them. Last night was prime time TV, and he again failed to deliver specifics.

After the debate, President Obama goes back to the crisis room, deals with Syria, Iran, Libya, the economy, sequestration,Russia, Afghanistan, Israel, Egypt, natural disasters,(such as Japans' Tidal wave), unnatural disasters caused by natural disasters,( same tidal wave damaging the nuclear facility in Japan), natural disasters caused by unnatural disasters,(BP in the Gulf of Mexico), national security issues, world-wide economic near collapses, etc., etc. Oh, and by the way, all the time trying to make sure that the 47% in Romneys' talking points never are left to have to rely on the Mittster for help. Welll let's see how we all got there in the first place...BUSH! We've always had unemployment. The GOP first priority within Pres. Obama's first 3 months was to make sure he did not get re-elected...REALLY! So they put a wrench into just about every thing placed on the table...delays, delays. While the rich ol boys and girls...kept their billions stationary so nothing moved. The DOW..well it's at it's highest in years, but profits are all on paper...If you want a president that keeps foreign bank accounts, doesn't want to disclose his taxes...take the hint..vote for Romney then, he has spoken so many lies that he probably can't remember the actual truth. We've always had illegals, food stamps and unemployment when those with the money take it and don't do anything substantial with it. We are all pawns on the board to them, someone little who will do all the labor and dirty work while they pay minimum wage, no health benefits, and control the amount we pay in rent and utilities, food and gas. I'd rather see a President try and fail and show his human side than listen to another smirky ass Bush who drove us into this mess in the first place. My vote will be for Obama, because he came out saying he would do his best and try, not lie like Romney who came out saying ...I will do this and I will do that. So much for a team leader, sounds typical of him...not wanting to involve his team players.

You feel sorry for those who support the President? Well hell righties! Right back atcha! Here you all are, been bragging about what a beautiful and fast hoss Romney is. He goes into a debate disguised as a cow claiming He can produce 40 gallons of milk a day. Also bawls He will give up both His "hind quarters" for the good of 47% of the people He previously neighed as a hoss, were government teat suckers. While the President sure screwed up by not roping Him, or Her, if He really is a cow, or, something else, you righties don't know any more about who Romney really is than we do. Fact, no one is sure who or what Romney really is. I'd save that pity. There's a better than 90% likelyhood you'll need it for yourselves.

The republicons passed a bill giving big tax cuts to corporations that exported American jobs overseas when you controlled the whole government.

The Democrats tried to repeal that POS law in Oct. 2010, but were blocked by you anti American republicons.

The Democrats tried to repeal that anti American law again last July, and you anti American republicons blocked them once again!

Laker Steve - regarding my comment that there IS a law in the tax code providing a deduction for moving your company overseas, you stated,

OK....if it's such a bad deduction, I would suppose Obama would have removed it.....in....well, the last 4 years!"

Obama can't just "get rid of" a law he thinks is not right. Hopefully in your civics high school class you learned that bills are created and made into law through the legislative process -- not just because the President says so. You do not address in your response the fact that Romney straight out lied because there is no acceptable response except perhaps "oops."

Another point where Romney out and out lied is when he said there were no tax cuts for moving your plants overseas.

There are no tax breaks for "moving companies overseas". There are standard reductions (due to losses) that any company receives when they close a plant or move operations, whether it is to Kansas City or Beijing. There are standard business expenses that can be written off that are related to moving a business, but again, it doesn't matter whether it is to Denver or Dubai. Romney was exactly right in what he said.

Lisa - President Obama has proposed a bill that would remove that deduction and add a tax increase for any company that moves a job overseas. It would also give a tax break to companies that bring jobs back to the US. The Republicans in the House have tabled the proposal each time - most recently right before their recess - refusing to even bring it to a vote.

We need to file treason charges against these clowns who have signed an oath to Grover Norquist and failed the country.

JC - so there ARE tax cuts involved. It doesn't matter if there are tax cuts elsewhere in the tax code for similar situations. You have just verified that these tax cuts DO exist. Thank you!! It's good when the opposition accepts your facts as valid.

I had to record last nights debate but was glad I did so after reading all the comments. Obama was a loser last night no matter how you slice it. One thing I did notice is that when Romney called Obama on the carpet for his half trurths and lies at one point when Romney was explaining his position Obama klooked kind of Sheepish and like he was embarrassed and said OK. A person can tell a lot by looking at reaction and eye movements. Obama did not want to look at Obama when he was basically telling the same lie over three times and each time Romney called him out on it. When you have someone that will not look you in the eye when speaking they most times are hiding something or lying. He did this continuosly throughout the debate. He looked so uncomfortable up there he looked like he rather be anywhere but up there on stage.

@ SeekingSanity... There is no such tax break!!! Never was but it sure makes for a great sound bite. This is typical Obama. He has done this type of stupid lying to get office in Chicago and he still does it because he knows people like you will beleive it. By the way name the section of tax cose where this exist if you think it does exist. Fact is it does not. Get a little sanity.

I am now actually quite pleased with the candidacy of Romney and Ryan. We have never before been blessed with such a pair of buffoonish liars being stuck in our faces daily. When viewed rightly, people such as myself, caught in the daily aggravations of work, and/or business, can be afforded a great mood lift from the articulated ridiculousness emitting from these 2 apparently unconscious comedians. Hell, many of us, using their arithmetic, may find we possess much more wealth than traditional arithmetic allowed us to think. If Mitt Romney can lower taxes, install His version of health care, increase defense spending, create 12 million jobs, and yet lower the deficit all by the cessation of funding PBS, then I may even be worth several million dollars. Damn! If this fuzzy R and R stuff ever really works, a lot of us are gonna wish for those funny tax breaks. Additionally, if Romney/Ryans magical math works, then, to hell with those who are out of work, or drawing unemployment. They have much more than they think, and damn sure do not need any help. Romney appears to be as crazy as a sighted bat grounded in hell, and just as comical.

Having read these blogs and having heard from Republicans in other fora, there is one thing I am absolutely sure of. Were I American I could never, ever, be a Republican supporter. The ones who frequent these blogs are some of the most lying, vile, hateful, low scum, it has ever been my misfortune to read. I do appreciate the very few who are capable of a somewhat civil debate, but they are few and far between. What is it about the theory of trickle down economics that turns people into dogs, and drives them to the lowest common denominator??? Thank God for the "ignore" button.

I have no doubt that the next debate will be very different.

The first debate showed President Obama very reserved and presidential.

I don't think Romney landed any lasting blows, but rather came off as a moderate.

After spouting the GOP extremists line for the last 18 months, the turnaround was unexpected. Romney won't be cutting taxes, or will he... still hard to tell

President Obama plays 3 dimensional chess while the rest play one dimensional checkers

We know what President Obama stands for, we know he will fight for us and the middle class as he has demonstrated so many times......you don't know what Mitt Romney stands for, you don't even know if he's a conservative. You only know what he's against, someone y'all dislike with blinding hatred for whatever that may be. How can you trust someone like that, unless you are in the 1% he'll never do anything to benefit you.

Fisty, no one will believe any of your predictions again. This debate outcome was totally opposite of what you and your village idiots predicted!! You are dismissed!!

You Libby's are repeating the same BS. If Romney lied why didn't Barry call him on them? Why is it that nobody calls BS except the noitalls on here. Don't you think the White House would say something? Sure, your MSM buddies will spin anything they can but it's to little to late. Your confidence with your own party is crashing rapidly and your desperation is very apparent. Your own lib media correspondence are bickering amongst each other and throwing zer0bama under the bus. Wait and see what Ryan is gonna do to old-man Biden!

If Romney was lying about something, don't you think Obama would have called him out on it to discredit him in front of 52 million potential voters?

No, instead it was Obama who was called out for being an incompetent pathetic leader.....not to mention a 4 year liar....supported by FACTS.

Romney lied so often I had to take off my shoes to keep count.

The republicons did indeed pass a law giving big tax cuts to corporations that export American jobs overseas. The Democrats did indeed try to repeal it. Twice! The republicons blocked them. Twice!

Actions speak louder than words and the Democrats clearly stand up for Americans.

Because Mitt is not in office yet, and what we've gotten from the incumbent of the last 4 years is 23 million people under or unemployed, massive debt, stagnant economy, no job growth, illegal lawbreakers granted green cards, tripled gas prices, & two credit rating declines.

Romney talked about $90 billion on green jobs. That is figure from Stimulus bill, $60 billion infrastructure, $30 billion Green jobs. 2/3 rds LIE Romney

Romney won't increase deficit with his promised $480 billion tax rate cut. He promised last night to use only loophole closing to pay for this. However, there's not enough money in loopholes to cover $480 billion, 20% tax rate cut, so where's the rest of the money coming from? LIE Romney

$716 billion cost savings in Medicare according to CBO. Romney repeated his false claim that this would hurt retirees three times. 3 LIES Romney.

Romney claimed ACA would cost $6000 per family in increased costs. In his own plan in Massachusetts, health care costs actually dropped. They are essentially the same plan (from Heritage Foundation and some really smart Massachusetts health policy experts). Another LIE Romney

I'm at 5 2/3rds LIES for Romney. Can he break Paul Ryan's convention speech record for LIES? Stay tuned for future updates.

Kevin: The 2010 version was called the Bring Jobs Home Act (S.2884). It would have ended tax cuts for corporations exporting jobs overseas and also would have given a payroll tax holiday to corporations that brought jobs back to America. Here is a piece of one article.

The bill under consideration Tuesday would have ended tax deductions for expenses incurred when companies shutter U.S. operations and shift the work abroad; imposed a new tax on products once made in the United States but now manufactured by foreign workers; and offered employers a two-year payroll tax holiday on jobs repatriated from overseas.

The payroll tax break would have let employers keep about $1 billion over the next decade, according to the nonpartisan Joint Committee on Taxation, while the tax increases would have taken back about $300 billion over the same period.

The bill that you republicons blocked last July was named Bring Jobs home Act ( S.3364). It was identical to S.2884. It failed cloture, which means it was filibustered by you republicons.

This bill is provisionally dead due to a failed vote for cloture on July 19, 2012. Cloture is required to move past a Senate filibuster or the threat of a filibuster and takes a 3/5ths vote. In practice, most bills must pass cloture to move forward in the Senate.

Are you wearing your American flag lapel pin?

                      Bucsdad

The recession of 2008-2009 took all the experts by surprise. After a $120 billion bipartisan stimulus bill in Feb 2008 (lump sum checks of $1200/family in June 2008) and a fed discount rate cut of from 5.25% in Sept 2007 to 2% in June 2008, experts were generally predicting a recovery in 2nd half of 2008.

In the 2nd half of 2008, we actually saw growth get even worse as the financial crisis, triggered by the housing bubble burst and rising food and gas prices, further eroded the health of the banking and auto industries. We teetered on the edge of a huge financial crisis that could trigger another Great Depression. Initial estimates for negative growth in the 3rd quarter 2008 was -5%. This was the backdrop for the bank bailout signed by Pres. Bush.

When Obama took office in Jan 2009, Republican leaders plotted to make him fail. He still passed the stimulus despite their opposition. It stopped the negative growth by Summer 2009. Later revised figures came in and actual 3rd quarter 2008 growth was -7.5% and for the 4th quarter 2008 growth was -8.5%. If there had been no stimulus, this negative growth trend would have continued and millions more jobs would have been lost.

Under Republican leadership at that time, we would have entered a Great Depression with estimates of unemployment ranging from 15% and higher. Thousands of businesses would have failed. Millions more homeowners would have defaulted on their loans. Chrysler and GM would have gone out of business. Banks would have been further buried in more bad debt and their survival would have required another bailout.

When Republicans say the Obama's stimulus did not work, they are lying. It saved many jobs that would have been lost and many businesses that would have been lost if the negative growth had continued. It helped stabilize the economy and it is estimated that 3.3 million jobs resulted from the stimulus.

Obama's decisive action in getting stimulus passed saved America from a terribly destructive Great Depression.

OBAMA 2012...for a job well done.

                      1. It's a tax! There wasn't much for Republicans to love in the Supreme Court's ruling that Obamacare is constitutional, except that they concluded the individual mandate is, for constitutional purposes (but not for others), a tax. The soundbites write themselves. Republicans can now brand Obama as raising taxes on the middle class, or, if they're feeling particularly blustery, "the biggest tax increase in the history of the world." But ABC News' Michael Falcone pulls up video from a January 2008 Republican presidential primary debate in which Romney seems to think such a tax is pretty great. When the debate moderator asks, "Governor … you imposed tax penalties in Massachusetts?" Romney defends the mandate by framing it terms of personal responsibility. "Yes, we said, look, if people can afford to buy it, either buy the insurance or pay your own way," he said. "Don’t be free-riders."

RELATED: A Promise to Blow Away Obamacare

                      2. It's "ultimate conservatism." In 2007, Romney said that when the uninsured show up in emergency rooms and get free health care, that's a "form of socialism." By contrast, his health care law was conservative and inspired by the Heritage Foundation, something that is true and that the Heritage Foundation would probably like people to forget.

RELATED: Romney Was Once Proud to Be a Washington Insider

RELATED: The New Romneycare Is Very Different from the Old Romneycare

Romney said a version of this multiple times. In January 2008, he told Fox News Sunday, "I think it's the ultimate conservative plan." Last year, Romney also said his law was based on "fundamentally a conservative principle."

                      3. It's a good national model. Romney boasted that Congress and the President could learn a lot about health care reform from his Massachusetts plan during an interview with CNN in 2009, "I think there are a number of features in the Massachusetts plan that could inform Washington on ways to improve health care for all Americans," he said "The fact that we were able to get people insured without a government option is a model I think they can learn from." Start at 1:05 and note the lack of concern about constitutional issues.

                      4. It's humane. When Romney left office in 2007, his staff erased his office's emails from a server computer in an attempt to wipe them from the public record. But earlier this month, The Wall Street Journal found a few survivors, including Romney's own early drafts of his April 2006 Journal op-ed about the passage of Romneycare. Romney used language that would surely irritate many conservatives, and it was toned down when eventually published. Nevertheless, Romney's original thoughts are preserved forever:

Some of my libertarian friends balk at an individual mandate. But is it libertarian to insist that government pick up the tab for those without insurance or means to pay? An uninsured libertarian might counter that he could refuse the free care, but under law, that is impossible — and inhumane.

And anyone can see right through the lies Romney told. Check out the NBC fact checking group as well as factcheckdotorg. Romney kept saying his tax cuts won't add anything to the deficit and an independent nonpartisan firm has determined that they will add $4.8M to the deficit. Granted that's not the $5M that Obama kept mentioning, but it's pretty darned close for round figures.

Care to name them? The Tax Policy Center has had economists and accountants attempt to reconcile Romney's plan and the numbers don't add up. I'd love to see what 6 accounting firms agree with Romney, if you would name them please?

And let's not forget that Romney called the Tax Policy Center "objective" when they criticized Rick Perry's plan.

It's so easy for Romney's handlers to dismiss reports that criticize his policies. They simply say that the reports are prepared by "liberals", and immediately all the non-thinking RWNJs line up behind them and goosestep down the boulevard.

Lisa If romney alony adds 5 M to the deficit, that will 5.5Billion less than what we had to watch with Owebama

Yes, hesea, unless the number is $5T, because then Rob-Me will have added $4.5T more to the deficit than Obama (that's based on the number you provided--not that there's any credibility to it).

Not one of you can come up with answers. All you know is to call each other names like children fighting over a toy in a sandbox. Do some you have a university degree, I wonder where your true intelligence is. Maybe you should bend over and look between your legs, maybe you can find it there. My drill sergant always said that was a good place to look to find your brain.

And that seems to typify the RWNJs. Instead of thinking, "Wow, look how much faster the country would progress and how much better our lives would be if we doubled our brain power," they look only at how it affects them personally. It's sort of the "glass is half full" vs. "glass is half empty" syndrome.

And I agree with sunrise, no one has an answer for his lies -- they just call people names and ignore the salient points of the discussion. Romney LIED several times. How can we trust him to do anything he says he is going to do for the middle class when we already have seen that he lies without shame????

The Tax Policy Center IS a nonpartisan organization made up of the Urban Institute and the Brookings Institute.

“ASK NOT WHAT YOUR COUNTRY CAN DO FOR YOU, BUT HOW YOUR COUNTRY CAN STICK IT TO YOU!”

if the prez know how to do his job and if he has a clue about the job, i dont think that the prez needs to practice. it should come naturally since everything they talked about last night was about his job as the prez of this country. he has limited knowledge of his economic plans, if any.

everything he said was challenged by romney and he just stood there like a student just got caught cheating on his test. it was very uncomfortable watching him as our prez of this country when i know the whole world was watching.

dal, you know we're all on the internet right now, just a click away from a Google search. Here is the fact check by ABC News on the false claim made by Biden that you have just repeated. You are a true Obamaite not letting the facts get in your way!

Vice President Joe Biden recently made the claim that Mitt Romney received a “federal bailout” for Bain & Company, costing “the government and American taxpayers $10 million,” but as the Washington Post reported, Biden’s assertion that the deal cost taxpayers millions of dollars is false since the money came from an institution that does not utilize taxpayer funding.

Wrong. The issue is the pension fund at Georgetown Steel. Robme cleaned $44 million out of their pension fund knowing full well that is was federally insured. That means that your tax money went into Robme's Swiss Bank account.

Or did it go into his $100 Million IRA? Hey! How does one jam $100,000,000 into an IRA that is capped at $6,000 a year?

*** Romney admits he’s been audited by the IRS: Romney made some other -- call it accidental -- news yesterday in his interview with ABC. He mentioned he had been audited by the IRS. In response to question about his tax returns, the GOP candidate said, “[M]y view is I’ve paid all the taxes required by law. From time to time I’ve been audited, as happens I think to other citizens as well… I don’t pay more than are legally due and frankly if I had paid more than are legally due I don’t think I’d be qualified to become president.”

The argument that somehow us healthcare folks are just going to stop taking Medicare patients is just pure fallacy. Anyone who knows anything about healthcare finance knows we're not going to turn our noses up at the government trough. We know the commercial population is declining and the Medicare population is increasing dramatically each quarter. Our market is changing and we go where the customers are. Kinda the first day of Healthcare Finance 101.

Anyway, doubt this will help that Moron (oops, i mean Mormon) Romney in his attempt to destroy what is left of the working class in this country as nothing he said last night could persuade me. Pretty much said the opposite of what he has been saying on the campaign trail. Can't vote for a Moron that doesn't know what side of the isle he belongs on.

The only thing destroying the working class in this country is Obama spending us into oblivion and squashing things that DO create jobs like the pipeline and oil drilling on federal lands.

And for seniors such as myself, he has adversely affected Medicare. In January 2013, my Medicare Advantage Plan monthly premium will increase 35%. So much for the so-called "Fact Checkers" that say the 700 odd billion dollars taken from Medicare Advantage plans won't affect us now!

If you want to remain delusionally pro-Obama, I suggest you don't watch any more of the debates. Barack is lost without a teleprompter and someone on the other end who can quickly type in answers to questions he's at a loss for. And especially don't watch the debate dealing with foreign policy. It won't be a pretty sight for any democrat to watch.

BTORCHED - Obama was distracted because for the first time in the last 3+ years he had to answer questions without having the answers written out for him and without paid campaign volunteers as an audience. Romney answered his questions based on what he knew last night. Obama knew nothing last night but his crackerjack speech writing team had a response written up for him in a mere 14 hours.

you know, it was a republican president that set up the national parks system. There was a time that the republican platform believed that the land this nation had was worth protecting to maintain its beauty and the natural ecosystems livelyhood.

Now, we can make a buck for a few years by strip mining and fraking so to hell with protecting the land for future generations. Whine and complain about the debt that is getting left to our grandchildren, but who cares about the environment that they have to grow up in when big oil can make a buck now.

Let's see, when the democrats were trying to pas obamacare they claimed it was not a tax but a penalty. When they were challenged on the legal aspect of mandating someone to buy something they had their lawyers claim it was a tax, now that they won that round they are back to calling it a penalty and not a tax talk about talking from both sides.

The working class has already been destroyed by this failure of an administration. America does not need 4 more years of this misery. Vote them all out in November. Most military I've talked to are voting straight Republican because of how the President is cutting their benefits. What a shame, cutting benefits for those who defend our way of life.

This is Obama's redo. He read a script from a telepromter. Maybe next debate Obama can use his writer and his telepromter. Maybe Obama should make a comment about Libya and the truth with what hapened. Maybe Obama should make a comment about Turkey and Syria and the mess he created with muslim brotherhood. Obama can even use his writer and his telepromter for those also.

Get over the teleprompter business. If that's the best you can do at slamming the President, quit.

Maybe Richie Rich could make a comment about his 47%. Maybe he can explain why he saw fit to use the deaths of 4 Americans to score political points. Maybe he can explain why the numbers in his plans don't add up. Maybe he can explain why he flipped and flopped yet again last night. Now, all of a sudden he is so interested in the welfare of the poor, the middle class and seniors when he wrote them off and showed contempt for them with his 47%? Yeah, sure. Maybe he can explain why he is no longer such a "severe" conservative. Maybe he can explain what is in those tax returns he's afraid to show us. Maybe he can explain why he has such a need to smirk. Seems to me Richie has a LOT of explaining to do.

Fire fighters board Ann Romney's plane

On Monday, Mitt Romney offered a remedy to the problem that caused his wife’s airplane to land prematurely last week: Allow passengers to roll down the airplane windows.

I'm voting for President Obama. Debate or no debate, Romney has already shown us who he really is before the debates anyway. Whatever comes out his mouth are lies and flip flops and he did the same old thing during the debate. Romney has no integrity and facts don't matter to him.

Obama has a plan for the next debate: he is going to send an empty chair. The chair may do better.

I wrote down some of the key things the President said during the debate and found out not 1 thing he said was true. Typical politician. America deserves better. Vote them all out in November.

I don't know why any candidate believes it is the state's right to do anything. That was settled in 1865. If I cannot leave the bargaining table and you can tell me what to do but I can't tell you then I have responsiblities but not rights.

Then you need to study history and the Constitution again.

You can leave the bargaining table and go elsewhere if the terms don't fit your fancy.

Or, you could start your own business and see what it's like to deal with employees.

(CNSNews.com)- During last night’s Republican presidential debate in Las Vegas, Nev., former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney admitted that a lawn company he had used hired illegal immigrants and that when he found out he told the company it could not have illegal aliens working on his property because he was running for office.

Having illegals shouldn't matter in this election. obama kept his illegal aunt hidden until he went into politics. Suddenly she was found. Was gonna be deported, but wait, she's disabled. Can't be deported and as a reward the government (taxpayers) will support her the rest of her life. Bet she didn't need a lawyer to get it either. Check it out. Just put "obama's aunt" in a search engine and watch the T.V. interview where she says that's what the U.S. is here for. So don't even try to bring that crap up about Romney.

Romney mentioned that he would cut funding for PBS. Funny, PBS did a documentary piece last week on ALEC. This organization is run by large corporations and mostly Republican politicians. In this documentary they show where ALEC is trying to move government from Federal Control to the states, which Romney said he wanted to give the states more control. However their plan is to get their issue passed on a state level and then they can then contol the American People. The issues that ALEC are currently involved in are Voter ID, Collective Bargaining rights, Union Reform and the Tort reform. That is the one that limits companies liability if they do harm to the American public. Some of the large corporations that are funding ALEC are Wal-Mart, Walgren, All the major Oil companies. Johnson and Johnson and several others. Coca Cola pulled out when they saw what ALEC was trying to do with Voter Id laws.

Romney want to cut funding to PBS, Planned Parenthood and Obama Care. They have already accomplished one of their biggest things of their agenda and that was to privatize the Military. Just think Haliburton runs the Military and they are one of the TOP corporate financers of ALEC.

Scary isn't it. If you look on the internet you can find ALEC, check it out.

                                                      Laura,

"Collective Bargaining rights, Union Reform and the Tort reform."

That's right because Republicans know that organized labor has traditionally been a big supporter of the Democratic Party so they figure that if they can destroy organized labor, they can undermine the effectiveness of the Democratic Party. They are a clever bunch, those Republicans, aren't they? I watch the PBS News Hour every night, but, unfortunately, I did not see the documentary about ALEC you are talking about. I'll have to check the PBS web site for it. Thanks.

That's what you thought was important? Really? The fact that, because of all the little things like PBS in the Federal budget, the government is spending over $1 trillion dollars more per year than it takes in, doesn't seem like a problem to you?
