that was a great question, particularly in light of the "fair and balanced" discussion of the issue on Fox recently, at Stephen Colbert's lampooning of them.

That is one thing you can count on. The more the righties rant and rave, the funnier they look when the comedians get a chance to use what they actually say.

Just remember this, all you polling-dataheads; 'Election Watch' was doing exit polling for 50 years, and never got it wrong once.....until 2000.

I too, believe that yellow dogs, and people who fit into certain ethnic/socio-ecnomic demographic groups are being over-sampled in order to produce an Obama-friendly snapshot. If you look at questions like "who does the country trust most on economic issues" you'll see Romney as the answer in geographic areas where Obama has a 3-4 point lead.

That makes no sense whatsoever.

My main point here is one that I've been espousing since day one; the only poll that counts is the one they take on the first Tuesday in November.

You did not address the substance of the criticism of these polls, which "weigh" some voters more than others to get what they think is a 'cross section' of likely voters...they dont just call 100 people at random...they call until they get 14% blacks, 18% Latino, whatever slice they ASSUME will be the voter turnout...

In your Connie Mack example, Mack does have a legit beef, a 6% deficit can be overtaken, a freaking 13% deficit can't!

Polls can change. Romney was not doing so badly until the 47% video came out. Which goes to show how quickly a candidate can lose ground. While I am glad the polls now favor Obama, I am not going to start doing my happy dance until the election is held and Obama is declared the winner. I don't trust the right wingers at all. If there is a way to cheat their candidate into a victory, they will use it. Don't stop working. Keep up the good fight. Send the no-nothings back to the outhouse of history.

The Republicans are all poll dancing to distract the voters. Carl Rove released a poll that has Romney leading by 103% among voter likely to be able to vote. He met all those voters at a focus group held in an old phone booth.

Never mind all the money spent on military, corporate subsidies, bank bailouts and all the rest of the rich folks at the subsidy welfare trough. If he wanted to win, he should of stated that everyone including his pet military takes a haircut. If I had one wish it would be that all republicans possessed the sense of honor and dignity that John McCain displayed when he was confronted by a typical brainwashed woman from trailer park haven who claimed that our President was an Arab and a Muslim. Just think, he's achieved something that not even some of our worst
enemies, like Al Qaeda could do. As they flew the planes into the World
Trade Center, their aim was to cripple our economy, bring us to our
knees. As they flew the plan into the Pentagon, their aim, there, was to
hit our military hard! Well, if only they had waited until Mr "4th
greatest President" came to office. He would made both of their wishes
come true, beyond their wildest dreams! As it stands, look what he's
done in just 4 years time- embarrassing, I know?! Yea, It's pretty sad
that the only "GOOD TIMES" we can point to, was when he first came into
office, in the mist of the recession! AN, speaking of our military, when
these automatic spending cuts take place, what do you know, it'll be
our military that will suffer big time for it! Yea, at a time when the

As it is, the Army recently announced cutting 80,000 soldiers, due to
those steep cuts! That's just the Army side! Lets see, the unemployment
rate for vets, as it stands now, is way over what the national average
is. SO, this, along with everything else under "King" Oblama, should
work out "well"!

---Vote Oblama, and get a free-taxpayer funded- phone, unemployment, poverty, food stamps and welfare.

He so loved "unemployment".... he created more of it more of it!

Currently, 25 million can't find work, gave up looking for work and are
under-employed! As well as 47 million on food stamps. 1 out 6 Americans
are now living in poverty! ..... Don't worry Oblama, we'll be a 3rd
world country in rapid succession yet!

Anyone ever notice how the right complains all the time? Now it is polling...wow if I was a Republican and someone polled me, I might just say I was a dem or independent out of sheer embarrassment! Anyway back to my other thought...they complain all the time, blame the other guy and have the nerve to say Obama blames Everyone else for our issues. I personally blame congress and the people of the USA for voting the dimwits in!

American Voices. This is America. Our America.

It is time we Americans heard our voices. That is not the voice of our media, our politicians. I am simply a person born and raised in America, like millions and millions in the USA. My grandparents came from Ireland, England, and Scotland. So what! They all came to America for the freedom and other reasons we have here in America. The opportunity to make something of themself, to create and work hard to shape their own defined American dream.

My grandparents and parents raised me to use common sense. My grandfather a hard working member of the mason's union (his entire life in the US), granddaddy always paid his dues. My grandmother stayed at home, raised their 7 children (my uncles and aunts).

It was a pretty typical America family 50 years ago. But most of all, a family that worked together, all were raised with the same character. Some in our family were more successful than others. No jealousy, just what it was. Our level of success did not dictate who we were as a person, or a family member. Just family.

To make my decisions by looking at peoples actions, like in what they say, then see what they did. As I grew through life, now late 50s, that approach has always guided me well. In addition, my family looked to serve others. To help others, be happy with what you have, make things work with a little bit, and keep it to a little bit, be dedicated, be true to myself and others, have a high bar for self-held conduct and ethics, keep my promises, be a hard worker - this path would always equal to be able to provide for myself, my family, and still leave some to help others. My entire life it has.

Now, grandparents passed for over 25 years, my dad ran away from home and his responsibilities when I was two years old. Mom was no whiney baby. She worked as a waitress her entire life often working 7 days a week while raising my two brothers and I on her own. Mom cut from the same values as my grandparents, she instilled in my brothers and I the American idea, our country heritage, how America was different in that we always opened our arms to people from everywhere in the world. Color of your skin, what money you had or did not have, none of that mattered. When we looked at a person or family that worked hard, building their dream, we wanted to be like them when we grew up.

Those others coming to America, once here like my grandparents, they too had the same opportunity as anyone born in America. That was truly unbiased. My friends growing up in mainstream Miami were of all colors. It was what a friend meant by their actions that determined who they were in your life. Friend or foe, they were a rainbow of beautiful colors. America.

Millions of people that came from all over the world have given their life for America to be that country. They died from real bullets. They kept us free. They protected the American way, American values, Americans. America is the land of the free and the home of the brave, history shows that. We are a unique country where everyone in America regardless of our color or our money education or upbringing is able to pursue a life of happiness, make the most out of their life.

A country where there has been liberty and justice for all. Our America of the past or present is not without flaws, for there is no such thing as perfection. Certainly like most things in our lives, life gives us the test first, the lessons are learned. Through the decades as America evolved, we worked to correct the incorrect from the lessons we learned. But America was a county united. Now we are an America being divided and pitted against each other. We are on the brink of losing America as she was created – for Americans.

Today, I stand as a proud American, still live my life on the values I was raised with. But I find I who have enjoyed the freedoms and quality of a modest life, have been apathetic. With all things going on like individual pieces of a massive puzzle, it is indeed hard to put the puzzle together. Certainly understandable hard, almost seems impossible to see the clear picture.

Surely we are growing angry, frustrated, lost, and likely helpless many of us. I feel like the America my grandparents, parents, I and my family have known is under attack. Both by people who call themselves Americans in our great country, and those outside the US that do not want America to remain the idea it was founded on, for Americans not to have the liberties and freedoms we do.

The in-fighting in our country seems to have come from many sources a desire to divide us created by others, to divide us within our families, within our workplaces, within our religions and colors. We cannot at all call us a united America.

What the heck happened? Fellow Americans, we are being called to protect our America. American Voices. I decided today I must be a voice. Not of my voice, not just another voice, but a voice of American Voices. Give effort with every last breath to bring out the best in America’s people, the good people, the people who are scared, cannot seem to know who to believe or trust (and yes the American Voices will attract the bad people to attack the good), as there has and always will be and forever will be bad, just as there is good. Who are the bad people? Not people who do not feel like we do. But those who work to take away and eliminate the America idea – the idea we the people of a united America stand for.

Easy to spot them using common sense, first those who openly say their feelings about killing Americans, and eliminating America. Then those next who do not seem to be concerned about our debt, or that there are those in our leadership that are for reducing our ability to protect our country. This is the start of American Voices.

If you are an American, this is the time for your voice to be heard. Let’s not repeat here at this place what the media has spun and will continue to spin to us to get us to do what they want us to do. What do you as a American what to do? How do you feel? The greatness of American is that we each individually get to determine which we are going be – good or bad, and who as an American we are going to be. This is still America. But perhaps not for long when you look what is going on. This is truly the time to pay attention fellow Americans.

Look at people for their actions. Look at them as well for their inactions. Look at people who would divide us. Wouldn’t common sense indicate anyone that wants to divide or distract us from getting the real facts about being attacked, who are they and in what position of power they have block us from getting the facts. When we were being raised by our parents and grandparents, they had to count on us as children to tell them the facts when they asked us questions. Pretty simple wasn’t it! Back in the day and I don’t care what color you are, our grandparents would certainly take action on us if we lied to them. The president is like dad, the first lady like mom. We must be certain we know the truth.

Why in so many areas is the truth being withheld from Americans in the US. That’s right - US Americans. United we stand, divided we fall. This is the time for all those who are Americans to use the bullet of their vote.

The reason I started American Voices here at NBC is that I could not believe almost aLL OF THE MEDIA’S with their BIG NEWS of POLLS, POLLS, POLLS. When I started to read the fine print in each of the polls, and many of the polls did not even have fine print. People, if you are going to get caught up in the POLLS, POLLS, POLLS, then seek out the facts on any of the POLLS. Digging into the facts, and it took a lot of research. I found that the numbers of people (democrats / republicans / independents) were misused in most of the polls just to obtain the headline the writer or news agency wanted to slant to.

First off, why are we being misled so much? THE MAJOR THING IS: Why all this distraction in all the medias about POLLS? All this POLLS POLLS POLLS prevents us from getting through to real articles about the issues. Do not believe any of the POLLS. They are slanted to get the numbers the news agency wants to have you believe.

Do not let the media or POLLS impact you. THE OTHER IS LABELS. Others use LABELS to slant or distract or try and pit us Americans against each other. We are PEOPLE. What can you do? Remove the LABELS.

No LABELS. LABELS are pinned on by others that want to impact your opinion. To get you emotionally involved. Remove the LABELS; Remove Democrats. Remove republicans. Remove Independents. Remove Black, white, and all color, profession, ethnicity, age, even incomes. Every one of them is just a LABEL. We are PEOPLE!

You will find it hard at first to not use LABELS in your thinking. Not using LABELS in your conversations. The media and politicians have trained us too well with their LABELS. Wait until you feel it run through your veins that you, me, everyone – we are PEOPLE! Strip the LABELS away. Once you remove any LABELS, it will still be a task to determine how you feel, but removing the LABELS will make it be what it is. PEOPLE. Your PEOPLE, my PEOPLE, our PEOPLE, America’s PEOPLE. Then just focus on what you personally are trying to decide on - as your PERSON.

What are your issues? What are your concerns? How do you feel? What are your children’s concerns? What are your parent’s concerns?

Are you better off at the grocery store this week than you were last week?

Are you feeling more secure, or feeling less secure about your job, your spouse’s job, your children’s future this week than you were last week?

Are you feeling more or less secure about your family’s security this week than you were last week?

Do you know others who have lost their job?

Do you know others that have lost their home? How are your savings? Do you know others who are under tremendous stress because of financial reasons, peer pressures; the discussion of politics at home, between spouses, in families, at work that makes Americans sick to hear us tear down other PEOPLE.

My gut feels sick. My business partner’s gut feels sick. Our significant others feel sick in the stomach. Does yours? Does all this fighting between us as Americans in America make you feel sick?

How do you feel about more than 15 other countries in the world burning your country flag – your America’s flag? How do you feel when you hear others say they want to kill American’s? If you are an American that is you they are telling openly -- saying they want to kill you! How do you feel? Those who say they want to kill you want to kill you, and kill your mother, father, and your children.

Do you as an American hear others that are American’s kill other people in other countries. Have you heard us say we want to kill their parents, their children, wipe out their way of life? That is not what I hear from Americans. We wish others in other countries did not want to kill us. And we feel they are so far away from us, on the other side of the world. There are many in our country from those countries that want to kills us. Not comforting is it?

We need to make the right decisions for our family and America’s future. As I stated once earlier to pay attention. Your America is at state. How do you feel when you think about how many people are going crazy in our America, killing their wife, husband, then their children, or killing coworker, or public shooting in malls, stores, other public places -- then killing themselves?

The stress of our society today adds immense pressure. Loss of jobs, loss of homes, and loss of savings, loss or security, all things in our society seemingly spiraling out of control adds major stress. When we as American’s cannot count on our media (TV, radio, newspaper, Internet) to properly inform us of the facts, what are we to know as fact.

When our media’s are so clearly divided from ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, FOX, and all others are all saying different facts about the same things. Who do you believe? You believe your feelings about how you, your family, your coworkers, your children are doing. If you do not feel comfortable, do not like what you have been experiencing more and more over the last four years – then vote for the change.

If you do not like what you are seeing, then we can change that. We who? We, American Voices. Chime in on how you are going to make your decisions this election. American Voices. Do not use LABELS. Talk about PEOPLE. Do not talk about what you have heard on any TV, Cable, Radio, Newspaper or blog or found on the Internet.

Speak for yourself. How do you feel about your life, your job, your security, your children’s future, your future, your tomorrow. How was this week for you compared to your last week?

Only use YOUR VOICE, not be a mimic of what someone else has said or you heard elsewhere. You are an American. Tell other Americans how you feel, if you are worried, what you worry about, what is important to you. How you feel, do not repeat what others have told you that you feel.

For today, we are still AMERICA – we have the power of American Voices. Let us drown out the POLLS, drown out the NEWS MEDIA. Drown out what others think.

The top 1% of wealthy people in this nation have 40-50% of the wealth of the entire US. This is more than the combined wealth of the bottom 95% of Americans . A decade ago this number was around 33%.

The economy of the US produces tremendous wealth but it also produces tremendous poverty. Is it any wonder when you see these figure? Our middle class is shrinking. Even high income earners may think they are richer and can afford nicer things but in the end they are income consumers and have more in common with the poor than with those in the 1%.

Romney hasn't even worked a regular job since 1999 and yet we can see the wealth he is producing for himself and his family. He paid 14% federal tax in 2011, but he knew he was running for the presidency and would have to show this tax return. He refuses to show any other tax returns because it is likely he is in the 47% he so disdains.

We all know who the party of the rich are and I don't give a dam whether they call it class warfare or not these guys have to be stopped and the numbers put in reverse....NOW! There is plenty of money to go around the problem is it doesn't go around and this is not an individual problem (lazy) it is a systemic problem. Stop them now before they return us to a feudal system.

Your vote is the only equalizer in this system. Your vote is as good as any in the 1% or 5%. I don't know who originated this phrase but it most certainly is reflective of the truth and what a true democracy is meant to be " EVERYONE Does Better When EVERYONE Does Better".

Stop the carnage, return this country to the people. Vote out the Republican with their failed policies that favor the rich at our expense. This cannot continue..... the future of the US depends on you getting out and voting.
